There is always the fear of great rates not matching the quality of a hotel That being said, this is one of the exceptions The rates were wonderful for an impromptu weekend getaway and the room was absolutely amazing

The facility is clean, bright, and fresh It was great to have a place to let the littles wear themselves out, the pool Breakfast was amazing as well Will we be returning in the futurewhen in Colorado Springs? That would be an unequivocal Yes!

Great place to stay! My husband and I were traveling from Montana to Oklahoma and were able to stop here at 4 in the morning and they let us have a late check out of 1pm The beds were comfortable too not to firm and not to soft Amazing customer service and the place was extremely clean

Very modern and minimalist as well as it gives off a very free and relaxing atmosphere Will definitely stay again if we’re ever driving through in the future

This hotel was a wonderful surprise I was coming into town for my high school reunion and wanted to stay somewhere central to get back to Denver, see my sister to the south, and head west for the reunion I got in earlier and requested an early check-in

The staff was able to accommodate my request – (I did paid an upgrade charge and early check-in fee) – and got me into a room after traveling over night and a long layover at the Vegas airport The staff was friendly and welcoming with each interaction The rooms were fun and the bed was comfy I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the plant wall My kids joked that I must have felt like I was at home Will definitely stay again when visiting and look for other locations Again, thank you for getting me into a room super early so I could shower and head to my reunion, you made a huge difference in my day

Stephanie Herman

I stayed here a little over two years ago and remember it being a very pleasant experience The facilities were well taken care of, gym was fully stocked and clean and it didn’t felt scary here All reasons why I booked my entire stay in CO Springs at SCP two years later

I requested early check in about a week and a half before my stay, and was even charged for it So when I arrived at 3 pm (only an hour early) to check in I was shocked my room wasn’t ready Even after 4pm I was being told it wasn’t ready Shout out to Charles though who has great customer service skills and helped me get checked in and assisted me with my TV that wasn’t working It is almost impossible to sleep here even after being worn out from hiking all day because of the noise level outside You can hear everything The area feels super sketchy and besides going to my car to leave for my daily activities I didn’t really feel comfortable leaving my room to go check out the pool and definitely didn’t want to leave my room after dark as I was on my trip alone Within 5 minutes of arriving I was approached by a homeless person begging for money My room was fine, not dirty like other reviews said Many towels did have stains on them though The gym looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the first time I stayed here and is definitely missing equipment that used to be there Was really disappointed because I really loved this place the first time I came Unfortunately would not recommend, especially if you’re traveling alone or a family

Great place for overnight stay, the desk was very helpful and apologetic for nor getting a room on the first floorDon’t like to gripe, but I called the day before, the day of along with a note in my reservationI have a service dog, also had 5 back surgeries

With that said, I have my hands full just unloading and loading back all my bagsRequesting the first floor helps out with my disabilityThanks to the night clerk I rate it better, than I would have originally

This place is awesome, staff was incredible Especially TJ, he made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to accommodate us It was my daughters bday weekend and after a day of very upsetting issues, with plans we had around the springs area, we landed up at the hotel a little early

TJ helped us to get into our room Later that day we called for extra pillows and the front desk lady was so nice and brought the pillows up immediately The room was very clean and was very roomy for a family of 5, king suiteRegardless of the fire alarm that was set off that evening , due to someone pulling the alarm, it does not touch the exemplary service that this hotel offers !!! Thanks Home2suites staff you rock!

I was extremely pleased with my stay Rooms were clean and nice They are located in the perfect location to be able to bike to Garden of the Gods, Gold camp road, the Midland trail and Pikes peak

I brought my own bike but I was absolutely over the moon that they have bikes available for checkout at the front desk I feel that it is a new bar for future hotel stays that they cater to my absolute obsession with two wheels This hit the mark and was a great value at the same time

Adrienne B

We had a group staying there for a family reunion The place is cute but needs a fresh coat of paint very badly Room was adequate but lacked cleanliness

Floors were filthy and after realizing that we wore our shoes Almost every person in our group had issues with their room A/C not working and the younger staff working reception had no resolutions, they actually said it was working fine when the room was warmer than outside The maintenance guy was great and ended up bringing a portable A/C Two of our group’s bikes were stolen (they were locked up) and again the kids at reception didn’t really care Another room had a bad TV that took a couple of days to get resolved Also, a two room suite only had A/C in the living room so the bedroom got so hot at night Breakfast was too jammed in a small spot and people were all over you while waiting for your waffle Good stuff was the food trucks and live music That patio is really nice The pool area is also very fun I think with some better trained staff to handle issues and deeper cleaning, this place could be awesome

Chiara Eberhardt

Buffalo Lodge provides a quaint, comfortable stay The buildings and lodge are charming, with a down-home feel Our room was spacious, with a very useful kitchen/ breakfast nook

The staff were so friendly and incredibly helpfulThey even offer complimentary bikes to borrow! The location is practically next door to Garden of the Gods We’ll be staying there again in the future and definitely checking out the karaoke next time!

This little oasis is such a find! Reasonably priced, ideal location right between Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City, and I can’t say enough good about the staff!!! They were warm and inviting, genuinely cared about us having a good stay and took pride in their service and establishment! Immaculately clean, comfy furniture, overall great place to stay!!!

Kevin R.

As mentioned

this place looks pretty run down from the outside but is very clean and comfortable inside The owner is very nice and will go out of his way to make your stay pleasant I was confused with the sign stating “no vacancy” but there were only 4 cars in the parking lot, however, I did enjoy parking right next to my room each night Not a five star resort, but worth it to stay a few nights Would return again if I visit the area

Brian at the front desk is a very nice, pleasant man, and nice to have conversation with The rooms have been remodeled and updated They were very clean, fresh, and I loved the sheets, and comforters

I even loved the WELCOME mats at the doors The floors have been redone and it was so nice to walk in and see such a clean room It’s obvious they have put time into their motel I would HIGHLY recommend staying here to any of my friends, or anyone wondering where to stay while in town They are generous with their complimentary breakfast that lasted me 2 days while I continued on my road trip For that, also, I was grateful I hope anyone who stays here helps to continue keeping this place nice so that others will be able to also have a good night’s rest here too

Charley Riley

We stayed in a newly renovated room with 2 king beds, the shower was one of the best I have ever used in a motel/hotel the water was immediately hot not letting it run for 10 minutes until it warmed up The owner/manager was very pleasant The view was fantastic

The owner has just taken the control of this motel 9 months ago Give this place some love and stay here it will not be a disappointing stay! If I could give more stars I would

Kayla Yang

The owner is wonderful He was very kind and very welcoming My family and I stayed here in May and we enjoyed every minute of the stay

We were provided with individual breakfast bags that contained enough food items for 2 days The rooms are newly remodeled and very clean For the cost and the accommodations not to mention the staff this is the place to stay!! We enjoyed supporting a small local business over a chain hotel You won’t find a more kind owner than the one here! Very close to many big attractions in the Colorado Springs area

Everyone was super nice And you have to try the Cafe on the first floor it’s amazing Its a great place to hangout or just have dinner after a long day The food is really good, and there’s a great bar selection If you go down to the Cafe be sure to ask for Graham, he’s the best Graham helped us with any questions we had about the Cafe, and suggestions on food, as well as, made my husband and I a really great drink that was his own creation Overall we had an amazing experience, and if we ever come back to Colorado Springs we will definitely be coming back here Great room, great price, great service in my opinion We were very pleased

Employees were extremely friendly The woman who does the breakfast even put back out the waffle mix when I was a few minutes late to accompany me and rooms were clean I appreciated having a kitchen and larger refrigerator

Only drawback is, yes it is close to the airport, but far away from everything else, including stores and supermarket

R G

Good hotel and nice folks It’s is a bit dated but not bad; the TV response time is really slow So close to the airport and some business districts

First time I’ve seen a walk-through closet from the entry into the bathroom (kina handy to get your clothes that are hanging up) Would have preferred the full length mirror outside the bathroom but not an issue

Forge Thought

Showed up late and Abe helped check me in Excellent young man and great customer service Unfortunately the room had a damage tub drain (it had been ripped out leaving the tub nonfunctional)

Abe was able to get me a new undamaged room quickly and completed a damaged room form on the spot to make sure it got fixed for the next guestContinental breakfast was good and helped get me through an 11 hour day Only complaint was the English muffins were pretty mediocre, but everything else was solidTiffany was likewise superb and very helpful when I had an issue Truly good people It’s clear the staff here is well trained and cares I had to schedule this location based on room availability, but I would definitely recommend it to others in the future Marriotts have great customer service, but the staff here went above and beyondOlder building but the rooms have great amenities From stove cooktops, to fridges, microwaves, and even dishwashers Would make a solid extended stay location even if the appliances are a bit out of dateHelped me survive a rough weekend Definitely an earned 5 stars

Clean, comfortable and tidy with a super location – a perfect retreat for a few days in the mountains with fair value for your money The owners are very nice people who make sure you feel at home I felt like home from my first night there

The one room duplex cottage was perfect for me as a solo traveler, but it definitely would have been enough space for two people, too The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and it was very convenient to have a mini fridge, a microwave and a little breakfast table with chairsThe cottages are close to all the attractions in Manitou Springs and only a short car ride or bus ride from Colorado Springs away On a clear day you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Pikes PeakI would definitely choose Town – N – Country Cottages again anytime and look forward to return one day! Thanks again Cheryl and Scott for my nice stay Wishing you all the best!

What a terrible place for the money I paid!!! 230$ for a day and I stayed for 5 nights with family Issues that I had:- couch bed was just dead and springs were almost showing out of the mattress

you just can’t sleep in it- so called free breakfast you don’t even see a plate there or paper plate either just pick small cereal box, yogurt, muffins or ready to eat egg rolls I have never seen such cheap breakfast arrangement where you are charged over 200$ each day check out Best Western Buena Vista who charges the same money and what an amazing breakfast they have- Power went off twice never had this situation in any hotel in my life time – In Kitchen they have exactly 2 forks 2 spoons 2 knifes and very limited other utensils- no one came to clean the room for all 5 days we asked for it twice and very politely they it was mentioned we will check if someone is available what rubbish! no once called after that- hot water shower works for 2 people after that its not hot any more- open dirty pool – we still compromised on everything and never yelled on them- last day we asked for 1 hr extension and answer was NO NO we have house keeping coming at noon so you have to leave where the hell was house keeping from last 5 days when we asked for it !!!!!Just waste of money NOT recommended unless you want to burn your money!!!

This place is wonderful Yes it is located between two roads but that really wasn’t a big deal, it actually made it super convenient The view of Pikes Peek was perfect

The beds were super comfortable The sheets were amazing The room was perfect The pool was open and clean Parking options are plentiful The scent of fresh pine filled the air just like it would in the mountains

Jerry Moore

The couple that owns or manges this place has to be some of the nicest in the business I made a reservation online with one of the travel sites I drove here with snow falling and the roads were slick

I arrive and the office is dark This is about 7:30 pm So I ring the bell and the couple comes to the door All the while I’m reading a sign on the door that says they are closed until April I come inside and they look at my reservation online and point out that it’s not until March I guess I didn’t check my dates very close They were kind enough to put me up in a room for the night The room was also a studio The hotel itself is what I call a retro hotel which I love I can’t thank these folks enough

The staff were amazing and friendly The check-in process was easy The room was very clean

Pricing very reasonableI hate giving this place 2 out of 5 stars, but my room was unbearably cold!! I stayed in the private room #2 I can usually handle sleeping in as cold as 60 degrees F, so it must have been much lower than that (I didn’t have a way of measuring the room’s temperature) There was no adjustable heater, just an air conditioner with a “cool” setting I heard the “heat” kick on through the ventilation roughly every 15 minutes, but it must have bypassed my room or something! I used the thin white sheet and the thin blanket provided, but I ended up putting my pants, shirt, socks, AND jacket on (I usually sleep naked) It still didn’t help I think the staff mentioned I could get an extra blanket, but I went to bed after their office closedAfter a night of basically no sleep, I was extremely relieved to find the shower water to at least be nice and hot

Karen Peck

Never have stayed in a hostel before, so it was so fun to try something new-and so pleased we did Know this is an old motel and run down in a funky area BUT… a private room with own bath for two for $52 is such a bargain

The linens are super clean as is the bathroomThe real treat is the common areas We watched movies two evenings and got to eat with fabulous folks every morning The kitchen has every/anything you could possibly need to make a lovely breakfast – all the supplies are there! Delicious hot coffee is always available And, the kitchen is clean and brightThank you Leah and Elaine – you are both so charming and helpful! We wish you all our best for the wonderful futures we know you will live! Karen and Tammie (California grandmas :)PS If you run cold, ask for extra blanket/s when you check in As well, ask for a portable heater then, too Our room was toasty after we did!

Kelsey Brunts

I was looking for an inexpensive place to shower and sleep the evening after climbing Pike’s Peak and this place was exactly what I needed It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful At check-in, after I mentioned that I’d been hiking that day, Lisa switched around which dorm room I was staying in so I could have a bottom bunk and didn’t have to try to climb a ladder (I’m not sure I would have made it)

The breakfast area in the morning was great! There were plenty of ingredients to make a hot breakfast or cereal and toast if you wanted something quick I will absolutely stay here again if my plans take me back to the Colorado Springs area!

Front desk staff is super helpful and very friendly You can tell the housekeeping crew works hard to keep this historic site beautiful and clean! Thick walls mean you are very rarely disturbed by neighbors or outside traffic Some rooms are 420 friendly and have 2 levels! Close to attractions and walking distance to restaurants

I try to stay here at least 2x a month as I prefer it to other places

It’s hard to give this place a low review The staff was very friendly but aside from that there’s not much else We had chosen to stay here given the history of the place and thought it would be a cool experience

We had room 31 which is a 2 story, 2 bed, with a living and dining area Sounds nice right?? We thought so too The couch was rock hard, the bathroom was filthy and there were no towels We couldn’t call for towels because the office was closed and only had an emergency number We slept on 1 of the 2 beds since it was just my husband and I Completely agree with the other review about the mattress being lumpy and uncomfortable The ac unit is extremely loud my husband couldn’t sleep I honestly probably got 2 hours sleepall of this makes it seem like I should give it a 1 star but again the people were nice
