We stayed in the Cypress Room of the Inn The address is in a quiet neighborhood with private parking off the street The room was comfortable and cozy

Bed was super soft, bathroom has a great jacuzzi tub and awesome shower There is a mini fridge that had plenty of room for our food and drinks for the days that we were there We got to see lots of deer in the neighborhood each evening They would walk right through the from yards of the homesvery cool!

The place was cozy and comfortable We enjoyed our stay very much I must say that we especially loved the pillows

They were the best pillows! We also enjoyed the location because we were able to walk to a variety of restaurants and bars My husband and I enjoyed our evening dinner and night cap Bootleggers had delicious pizza and The Oyster Bar had yummy broiled oysters Enjoy:)

Friendly and personable staff Booked room for a week, my daughters and i stayed The room was nice and clean and loved that I had a small kitchen so not to have to eat out all the time

One big disappointment was the pool being closed With it being spring break I picked this hotel specifically because of the pool and other amenities Over all it was a good experience

Matthew Parish (Mattrix)

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this “Hotel” mostly due to the parent companie’s reservation “service” Granted, my day was already on par to be one of the worst traveling for business days of my lifeDue to multiple events in town, it seemed to be near impossible to book ANY room, be it a 1 Star dive/crime scene(motel,) or what was supposed to be a 4-5 Star “Hotel

” I spent every moment from 4PM when my event was over for the day, until 11PM when I called the Hilton “Customer Service” number, trying to get into any room I could lay my head down for a few precious hours, until 8AM when I had to start the second/last day of one of the most important events financially that I’ve had so far this yearSo, I drove past one of Hilton’s Hotels, and decided to call the lobby, knowing that particular Hotel usually starts around the $250-300 range(on weekdays when they aren’t busy) So, I was prepared to hear that I was going to have to pay $3-400 minimum to stay there Well, no such luck They didn’t have any rooms and the person on the other end of the line(Hilton apparently outsources their phone rooms to somewhere in the Middle East,) proceeds to tell me that they have a room that is only 10 miles away I agree and book the room for just over $300, after agreeing that it is past time for their cancellation policy and that if I cancel, the room would still be charged to my card I asked him several times if I could hold the room with my card, but pay in cash when I arrived He insisted that would not be a problemWell, the room ended up being 45 minutes away, and when I got there, of course I couldn’t pay in cash I didn’t have $300+ on a card, and being 11PM, I couldn’t go to the drugstore and put the money on one The lady was very rude, and threatened to call the police on me when I asked to speak to the manager Unbelievable! Worst experience with a Hotel chain that I thought would never treat their members like thatI ended up staying at a Motel(not Hotel,) by the freeway that was sure to be frequented by the police on a nightly basis, for $100 Never again Hilton

Chorizo Assassin

Had multiple issues with hotel first anytime I tried to talk to someone at the front desk I had to chase someone down or wait 10 minutes for someone to come help me Also had problems trying to extend my stay at the hotel The general manager had assured me he would take care of it and call me if any issues arise

He never contacted me back after several attempts to figure out why they couldn’t extend it Just seems like customer service is not one of there main priorities and it shows in certain situations like that Definitely not gonna stay here ever again

Basic, at best Can’t turn you AC Down, they can’t provide you a fan, can’t swim, can’t smoke outside

I spent 1500 on this trip and the guy keeps saying “Cooperate Policy” the guy is nice enough, and room are clean if a little older I just feel like you should get a little special treatment if you book a full week I mean, I’m basically living here this week

Tracy Keene

Over all this was the best hotel besides the actual Marriott with a better price tag No surprise its by the themService was excellent all around and very well kept & clean

The king bed was a pillow top & so comfortable My only complaint, is why I gave 4 stars is the breakfast was less then desirable, I’ve had way better at a rinky dink hotel It was as good as it was made out to be especially our 2nd day Also, the web site embellishes a little bit it states it has an indoor & outdoor pool least through price line it did Nope only an outdoor pool but it was ice cold, I can’t complain to much most of the hotels I looked at said their pool didn’t even open until May, including them Its a beautiful little oasis & enjoyed just relaxing listening to the water fallHow ever keep an eye on your incidentals charge mine tooks weeks to come back and many calls fighting for my deposit back

This place is absolutely amazing Our kids said it was the best vacation they have ever had!!!!! The owner and his staff are very accommodating and nice It was very family oriented

They had live music on Friday and Saturday and the kids were very excited to learn how to dance They had an awesome pool and it is right on the river We will definitely be back They even had a yoga room a bar and a pool table but we ran out of time Next time we will stay longer to do all of their fun things!!!!!!!!

Janice Smith

Room was good A/C good and cold Location is probably why people stay here

But if you stay on the first floor you will hear your upstairs neighbors walking around and making noises in the middle of the night Not pleasant I did complain about this to the front office Sleep with ear plugs the next night And the front door was a bit old and needed to be replaced Interior was nice Comfortable beds Room was cleanBathroom somewhat updated Tub was old and smallBut good hot showerIt was right on the River but I wasn’t impressed with that particular part of the RiverBut it served it’s purpose for the nights we were there

Brandy Rainwater

Loved the location and service Only complaint was when I booked room it said I would get a room with feather pillowtop mattress and it didn’t, bed hard and squeaky, yuck, pillows left something to be desired Room definitely not like a Hilton

but clean though, close to river and they recommended Gruene River Grill at check-in, which was on pointAmazing! Would stay here again but would call after booking to ensure pillowtop/feather/down mattress topper since I’m a soft bed fanatic! Live band, basketball, volleyball and horseshoes was a great addition, families were having fun!

Hotel is very well kept The rooms are large and comfortable The restroom is a great size

Staff is very friendly and hospitable Towels and beds are clean Here are some of the things they can work on: better breakfast food and update the breakfast area, better water pressure for the showers, bath tubs are super slippery and could use a slip gaurd, and the pool area could be cleaner with more pool towels Get rid of the broken pool umbrella and replace with 2 new ones Would Recommend but would not pay more than $135 an night

Amber Martinez

We were having such a bad night and then my husband and I were greeted by Cheryl She’s made our stay so welcoming and comfortable She helped us make sure we got a good breakfast and just made our day

She’s such a sweet lady and I highly recommend coming to see her !

Ross Iversen

Can’t complain for the price The room was basic, but spacious enough and comfortable and clean Lots of interesting smells in the hotel – when we arrived, there was a strong smell of carpet powder or some cleaning product throughout the lobby and hallways (and in the room, although less strong)

The hallway smell seemed to morph into a more sour smell during our stay, so I’m guessing they are using some scented product on the carpets to cover up some lingering bad smells All of the carpets were old and tatty – replacing them would probably go a long way towards improving the look and smell of the property Overall, a way better deal than anything else I was able to find in the area and well located near Gruene and other attractions

Although they are updating, we were given an old room There was mold all over the bathroom – the walls, ceiling, and shower Not just a little mold, but a lot

We paid $170 for this room and really expected more Again, we know they are remolding and there were newer rooms available, but we were in this older room Looks attractive from the outside, but very dated on the inside Skip this hotel until they are fully remodeledBI HAVE ADDED PHOTOS of the mold

MSM MSM

Definitely not worth the $180 No coffee maker in the room but coffee? At that coffee in the restroom They didn’t clear alarm and had rude awakening at 4am

The restroom was dirty, and the room smelled musky Breakfast “hot” was eggs and sausage, no selection, I was not impressed Price vs place did NOT balance Will not stay again or suggest

Patty and the staff are amazing The location is perfect for getting around all over the area They are situated on a horse shoe on the comal River

You can float for 10 to 20 minutes get out on the other side of the resort and walk 2 minutes back to the other side and get back in the river They have plenty of areas for picnics and relaxing around the grounds as well as barbecue pits and a playground for the kiddos The rooms are lacking but you’re not going to New Braunfels to sit in the room

Cheri Chalk

We had a Company weekend at the Other Place Everyone enjoyed their stay & loved the Location The playground was the favorite place for the little ones

The outdoor area has lots of shade & of course if you’re too hot, just float down the river Lots of BBQ pits & different picnic areas We were there for Labor Day weekend & there is plenty of room for everyone Met a family that has had Family Reunions there for 27 years Now I know why they come back The owners & staff go out of their way to make sure you have what you need & enjoy your stay Can’t wait to go back!

When traveling to New Braunfels this is THE place to stay The rooms were impeccably clean and updated with modern amenities The bathrooms were large and brightly lit

The bathroom does not include a tub but does offer a VERY large stand up shower with Dove shampoo and soap products One excellent feature was the black out window shades, this kept the room cool and dark for sleeping in Checkout is at noon and the complementary breakfast was fresh and delicious The staff was knowledgeable about the area and offered free cookies and lemonade Will definitely make this hotel my go to spot for river trips in the future!

Greg Davis

Good – room overall seemed mainly clean Breakfast had a lot of choices and everything to include nice bags to take on the road The best at a holiday inn I’ve seen

Rather quiet Front desk was training, yet still friendly (the night guy didn’t seem overly engaged with his hunting jacket on), parking ample Gym size and amount of equipment is best I’ve seen at a HIE Love the ac can run fan constant – great white noise Bad – No soap in bathroom One bath towel No water or towels in gym – big bummer The water pressure from the sink is horrendous Missing do not disturb sign Plenty of long hairs (not mine) all over bathroom upon entry I wish their were extra pillow kept in the closet, always a nice touch

Jana Barosh

We paid over $200 a night and it was not worth it The rooms were not cleaned even after asking them to be re cleaned Food on the floor, hair and toothpaste on the mirror, orange stuff and junk in the bathtub

It was so gross The pool was disgustedly dirty, couldn’t even swim and no lounge chairs I wouldn’t recommended They offered a $30 refund but that wasn’t even close Stay at one of the other nearby hotels This place had many complaints and even people leaving early The staff was kind but accommodations were sub par at most

My husband and I stayed at in Sophie’s Gasthaus this weekend in the Hayloft suite We truly did not want to leave!!! The entire property is just breathtaking and so incredibly relaxing The main house is decorated so beautifully with such classy decor

Every detail is is tended to, including the light switches Even though we did not stay in the main house, we enjoyed the continental breakfast and coffee there one morning and met some great people in the living areaThe suite is over the carriage house and has a full kitchen, bathroom, living, bedroom and dining area, and its own fireplace The walls and ceiling are painted a deep dark color which is why I think it was so relaxing, just minimal stimulation!!The bed I’m very particular about beds and pillows when I stay places in this one was probably one of the best! Multiple options for pillows so if you want it soft or more firm, they’ve got you covered The bed itself was very comfortable and the down duvet was so incredibly cozy on the very cold nights that we stayed!! It was heavenly!!!The kitchen had all that we would need and we made breakfast our second morning there There’s a large dining space on the front patio that is private to the Hayloft, it was too cold for us on our stay, but look forward to it next timeThe bathtub was a huge soaking tub, and the bathroom was just as aesthetically pleasing as everything else I’m so glad they even thought about a soft closing lid for the toiletThe grounds were very well manicured and can’t wait to use the pool and hot tub one of warms up Downstairs in the carriage house is a huge game room that my kids are going to love so much when we bring them along in the future It’s open for all guests, not unique to the HayloftI had no clue that New Braunfels had such a special downtown, lots of great restaurants and close to so many things We visited Gruene one afternoon, which was only about a seven minute drive away We had lunch at Cooper’s barbecue and it was incredible Not a big pork chop person, but their pork chop was probably the best I’ve ever had and it was so incredibly tender and juicy We saved it for our breakfast tacos the next day! Kelly, Sophie’s Gasthaus estate manager, recommended McAdoo’s for our special celebratory dinner It did not disappoint either!!Can’t wait for our next visit to Sophie’s – considering getting a group of friends together to book the entire place!!

I stayed twice, two weeks each stay, to recuperate after 2 hip replacements My original plan to stay with friends became unavailable Staying at Kuebler Waldrip’s B&B turned out to be the perfect option, better than any rehab option, staying with friends or being at home for recovery

The staff and owners made everything easy and friendly; breakfasts were delicious with a menu selection they adjusted to my preferences, they brought me breakfast to my room when I wasn’t mobile enough to go out to breakfast I enjoyed knitting in the common areas during my recovery, chatting with the owners, guests and staff, and looking out through a wall of picture windows to a view over the grounds of enchanting wildlife and gardens The entire homestead was charming with the modern upgrades that made my stay completely comfortable I am fully recovered and glad for my amazing good fortune to find this lovely accommodating bed and breakfast homestead

Audrey Kuebodeaux

I can’t express how comfortable I was made to feel while here The cook made a lovely breakfast the first day and Darrell cooked us an awesome breakfast the second, and we so enjoyed talking with him and Margaret at the table We had privacy if wanted, in a beautiful home on a lovely ranch, filled with wildlife

My new home away from home Thank you for being so welcoming and giving us a relaxing stay

Superb service, excellent room that felt like home, and a great breakfast The folks at Kuebler Waldrip Haus certainly have a great way of welcoming their guests We live in the Hill Country and can attest that the KWH captures the charm of the Texas Hill Country

An extra bonus was the the owner’s mother has connections with some of the same people my in-laws know from the 50’s/60’s so we had a great time talking

We really like taking our travel trailer to Sun Outdoors parks and this is no exception They have great amenities including indoor/outdoor pool with cool night lighting, jacuzzi pool, nice/clean bath houses and game room our site was in walking distance of the pool

Angela Martinez

We rented a cottage for the President’s Day weekend Cottage was very clean Property was great

Beautiful place, well kept up Bathrooms were clean an nice although many seemed out of order Sites are narrow but typical

Garbage was a long ways away Pet park was next to Garbage They had other pet areas but they were not fenced in Pool looked very nice but we didn’t get to use We did use the hot tub right near us and it was perfect (not real hot but we loved that since it was 100 degrees out) Overall I would definitely stay again

Stayed on Mothers Day weekend, the property is very nice The beds were comfortable, we had a full size kitchen that came in very handy We had a great time at the pool and barbequing

There are plenty of picnic tables and pits for everyone The staff was very friendly and helpful I will definitely return and will recommend to my friends and family

John McRae

They have a kitchenette with zero kitchen accessories except to ice trays and an ice bucket The rooms are fine but the staff could use some education If they would rent a cornhole set or some kind of activity and put some more Lighting on the parking lot they could make some money there

Used to really enjoy the ping pong table but it’s gone 30 or $35 for a ball cap with your name on it, seriously Always strange to me how people pay people so they can advertise for them for free Anyway we enjoyed ourselves and we’ll be back and the swimming pool as well kept and fantastic

Kelsey Horn

Rooms were significantly dated Fridge leaked everywhere Beds were super uncomfortable

Only 2 pillows a bed and they weren’t all that great Staff was not overly friendlyPool was nice and access to the river was convenient The game room was a jokeThis is not glamping!! Don’t fool yourselfBest part of the stay was seeing the deer and hand feeding them

I would like to say thanks to my besties for the best ladies weekend ever and also for suggesting this amazing getaway place I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone We stayed in the Butter Tub Suite which had 2 hug rooms and a outside nook which I slept super comfortably

The manager who manages the place Crystal is super duper amazing and super welcomingShe did a fantastic job telling us where everything was at The common area was well stocked full of snack, food and coffee Everything was super clean I would highly recommend this place to everyone and especially a plus to have such a great manager and the scenery outside was super majestic Thank you so much Crystal for making us feel so welcomed Hopefully, this will be our spot for many more ladies weekend to come Hope to see you soon

Just had the most amazing weekend away with 4 of my best girlfriends! The staff at Lambs Rest Inn went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable From the champagne and fruit/cheese plate in our room to the wide variety of breakfast options in the main house, we couldn’t have been more pleased Also, you can’t beat the location being right on the river and only a mile away from Gruene

Can’t wait to be back for another relaxing weekend away!

Returned to Lamb’s Rest Inn after 5 years and was disappointed to find that the quality has dropped quite significantly What struck me about my first visit was the homely feeling, with homemade breakfast, impeccable service and attention to detail On this second visit no one was present at the property to assist with any questions or clean the common area

The only person we saw was the manager’s boyfriend who was very rude when I asked him if someone could tidy up our room Of course there was no homemade breakfast and were expected to clean after ourselves You wouldn’t expect this from the price they are chargingUnfortunately I will not be coming back It was very sad to see how this place has changed so much

Got the 1 bedroom suite Kitchen had a stove, oven, microwave and full fridge The room, and entire resort was super clean

Beds were super soft, lots of pillows Very nice, enjoyed everythingMy only gripe is the staff could be a little more knowledgeable I found out from another guest that resort guest could enter the park an hour early, no staff ever mentioned this to me This is a huge deal when considering that the best rides can have over a 2 hour wait Our last day we got in the park 30 minutes early and we’re able to get in line for master blaster before the park actually opened We ended up riding all 4 of the extreme slides in the first hour and a half This knowledge would’ve made our first couple days much betterThere was also much confusion with the tram system They told me the resort tram ran every 15 minutes but it’s more like every 40 minutes I have this same complaint about the park itself, the employees only seem to know their job and their job only

Paid for this trip a couple months in advance to spend with my family We rented a condo that was 2 bedroom, 15 baths that slept up to 8 people

It also included a full kitchen and washer/dryer We were very excited to get there but immediately disappointed upon entering the room This condo looked like a wreck There was a hole in the half bath door, patches of holes that had been covered up on the walls but not painted Furniture was very old, scratched up, and dirty The dressers upstairs had missing knobs that were broken off The half bath toilet was clogged and we couldn’t use it and the upstairs sink was clogged so it was disgusting after we brushed our teeth The dishware and “pots/pans” that were available were useless and cheap The fridge had dents covering the outside and the inside shelves on the door were broken or severely bent to where it wouldn’t hold any condiments The fridge was set to cold and froze our juice and milk but the knob was missing so we couldn’t adjust it We had 2 vehicles that we were able to park in front of our room on the first night but when we left to go get ice, someone parked there and we had to park on the other side near other condos The issue with that was the vehicles parked in front of our room did not have resort guest tags but when we called the office, no one was available to answer the phone and assist They office is only available from 9-5pm We purchased season passes and the ONLY advantage to being at the resort was walking over to the park We didn’t have early access before general admission We had access after hours but only to 2 pools that were 3-4 feet each at the swim up bars but the bar was not open, there were no attendants, and no music Save your money, stay at a nice hotel and just drive to the park daily I would not stay at this “resort” ever again So not worth the money we paid for this condo

We stayed for our little man’s 9th birthday recently, and we had a great time! The only change we did not like was the one hr early entrance, and the one hr later park play has not been put back in place since new ownership I know they’re working a lot though in the park, and appreciate all the hands that are helping keep this beautiful park open! Service is always great!! Highly recommend season pass 😎

My parents always enjoy their stay at this Worldmark The rooms / condos are spacious and well thought-out The pool is small but nice that it has a lift for those with mobility issues

The location is fantastic: close to downtown, but still on the outskirts enough to watch deer grazing at dusk and dawn, and a quick drive to our home in Canyon Lake!

Have stayed in the New Braunfels Resort several times The location is excellent Literally only about 3 minutes from Gruene Hall, the Gristmill Restaurant and the surrounding town

Lots to see and do there Only about 10 minutes to the Schlitterbahn, and you can catch float trips on the river walking distance from the resort About 45 minutes to San Antonio and an hour to Austin Like I said, great location
