Excellent hotel! First time we have stayed with them and really was impressed The room was clean and tidy when we arrived The staff were great and the breakfast was fantastic! They even had a thing called dinner and drinks in the evening

Really enjoyed the stay Had to cut our vacation short and they were great helping us check out early

Becky Vickrey

This is THE BEST hotel! We came for Spring Break We were 17 minutes from Downtown and literally just off the interstate So, let’s talk about how amazing the staff here is

Man They were engaging with my kids The manager was very visible – not just sitting in an office The first night they were booked solid and they let us know that it would probably be busy for food The food served was amazing Always fresh and hot The servers were continually checking to make sure things weren’t low Everyone greeted us in the hall Maintenance workers, housekeeping staff, it made no difference I heard many say they love being here That says so much about the management I would go out of my way to stay here again

Kaitlyn Davies

A very nice hotel! I enjoyed my stay Fridges were a little small, I couldn’t put a leftover styrofoam box in without taking out the shelves and using them to keep the box from opening fridge door

Room and other parts of hotel smelled funky Kind of like a wet mold The food and the complimentary bar were great! Staff was very nice

Overall, it was a nice, short stay It’s your average 3 star hotel Beds were comfortable and rooms SEEMED TO BE recently renovated (within a few years ago)

Breakfast was pretty good I’m not a huge breakfast person, so there’s that, but to me, it was pretty good Complementary omelets, bagels, waffles, sausage, potatoes and more! Only complaint is that the floor in our room was dirty (hence the 4 stars), but otherwise was extremely clean and neat Would reccomend staying for a night or a few The lady at the front desk was very kind and welcoming which was a plus! Nice modern, yet rustic themed rooms I didn’t check out the pool or business area, but they looked pretty nice Overall, it was a nice 1-night stay, for what was needed

Billee Runnels-Potts

The front desk staff check-in and check-out, was great, and friendly They made sure we had a wonderful stay Very clean

However the breakfast was not very appealing and the young lady who was working in that area was rude and not helpful when asked about breakfast option Instead of being greeted with a nice good morning she said “Just so you know we close at 10” We still had 15 minutes and there was not any hot food out As other guest arrived after us she sighed and rolled her eyes That is not the impression you want guest to have If I don’t eat in the mornings I can manage, but children are different and could have been accomadated in some way

Ross Walters

BUGS in the bed Swarming under the pillowsWe demanded a different room but still found the carpeted floor to be dirty and the room was musty smelling and reeked of disinfectant

It was raining outside and the parking lot was a giant puddle we had to walk through and unload the car in standing waterAfter getting home we had to wash & dry all our clothing and bedding to ensure we don’t bring bedbugs into our house We’ll leave the suitcases outside overnight and hope they’re bug freeWe’ll not stay at the Hampton Inn in Collinsville ever again I thought ‘Hilton’ was supposed to one of the better chains so we paid extra to stay there

I had a weekend getaway for my granddaughters and we all were VERY happy with the stay First of all the cookies are to die for My mouth is drooling now on the keyboard just thinking about them

The girls swam and slept like logs on the comfy bed in the room Sunday morning Porter’s the adjoining restaurant had a buffet breakfast filled with high quality tasty food both hot and cold Not to forget the Starbucks coffee or assortment of teas available Kudos to Kiele who provided top notch assistance in helping me at Porters We will return and I will probably fast first so I won’t feel guilty about eating the great cookies and Porters steak

Brittany Piggee

Property not maintained as well as it should’ve been Trash cans outside the hotel were full to capacity, sidewalks cracked, baseboards were filthy, lighting was horrible, chair in room had a white stain on it (kinda scared to know what it was), headboards were peeling, and the front desk clerk wasn’t very friendly If this place put more time and effort into the hotel’s rooms and hallways as they did in the front lobby, it would be 10x better

It’s definitely time for an upgrade The only thing that was comfortable was the bed We had initially planned to stay three nights, but quickly changed our minds once we saw the hotel and all of its flaws

Vanessa Shackelford

They gave us warm cookies and cold water at the front desk when we checked in The guy that checked us in was honestly really pretentious about us checking in 5 minutes earlier than what we said online Our first room was disappointing for the price we were paying

It didn’t have a refrigerator or a microwave (Personal complaint; all the soaps have lavender in them so I couldn’t use any of it because I’m allergic to lavender) the fan in the air conditioner was broke so it only got more hot in the room They did upgrade us to a room with a couch and fridge/microwave with working air conditioning but the unit was so loud that it woke us up every time it kicked on throughout the night Morning staff was much more pleasant than evening staff Also poor drainage in both bathrooms

I really want to love this place and think that I can if I overlook a couple of things The service was great The hostess was friendly, professional, and had a perfect smile

Bright hallways and lobby area I loved the refrigerator, hot plate, sink and kitchen accessories in the roomThe room seemed cleanat first However, the shower seems as though it is never scrubbed Mildew and slimy floors testify to thatWe enjoyed the workout facility and the pool Then in the evening, we went to take showers and noticed that the bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke I told the problem to the hostess to which she promptly responded by providing us another room That room was clean, though it had a bathtub as suppose to a shower The A/C unit made a loud grinding/groaning soundI do plan on returning and giving the whole experience a second chance

Anastasia

Everything about this hotel was great The staff was super friendly from the get go and the room was beautiful We first started out in a hotel in St Louis and it was disgusting; stains on the sheets, drunk people everywhere, and a ~nasty~ shower (just to name a few things)

So that combined with a huge commute confirmed we had to leave, I called around and this hotel stuck out to me It was so much nicer and the pricing is so good for the quality They loved my doggie I brought with me and they gave no trouble to us at all Best decision of my life to move to this hotel I’ll be coming back to Illinois for no other reason other than this place Thank you TownePlace Suites!

I am a rewards member who feels when l redeemed points l should get the same level of service as l received when paying for my roomThat happened here as l was allowed to mobile key so front desk discrimination is removed and l feel a person is not placing me because l don’t look like themThis is the BEST room l have ever been placed in & my request of a high floor was honored

Thank GOD🧡

When one of the reviews for this property read “nice but lazy,” I ignored it but definitely SHOULD NOT HAVE! I stayed at this property for five days, and housekeeping NEVER came to clean the room Even after the second day when I was told that I had to put in a request to have the room cleaned (and I did this right away), no one ever came Even after I was promised the room would be cleaned every day thereafter, it was not

The replacement towels that we were given at the front desk by Daniel were rags (very thin and just a joke) I refused to use those rag towels, so I had to get towels from the housekeeping cart during my stay Yes – the housekeeping cart was on my floor EVERY DAY but NEVER got around to cleaning my room! Make it make sense!!!! Even the next day when I was told the room would be cleaned (Day 3) and it wasn’t, I tried to confirm this with the housekeeping workers who were right next door to my room They proceeded to tell me that their shift was about to end and they were about to go home I was livid!! This is the WORST hotel stay that I have ever had The lies that I was told were uncalled for I was told by the housekeeping manager (Roz) the next day that my room would surely be cleaned that day (Day 4) and she guaranteed it But when I returned that afternoon, the room still had not been cleaned The housekeeping manager (Roz) had lied to Darlene (the front desk manager) and told her that I was informed that my room likely would not be cleaned because she was short staffed This was a complete LIE!! Darlene then told me that she had given me 2000 points for the inconvenience, which is a joke The one luggage cart they have is broken down and wobbly This is the laziest staff that I have ever experienced in my entire life The day I checked out (Day 5), I told another housekeeping employee (Stephanie) about my experience, and she said that she would tell Rick (the general manager), as she had been off the last two days, which is why I had never seen her before Frankly, if this is how the housekeeping staff is run when she is not at work, she needs to be the housekeeping manager — NOT ROZ!! The one luggage cart they have is broken down and wobbly and the tub in our room had a nasty dirt ring in it The refrigerator is so tiny that you can barely fit anything in it I have never seen a fridge this tiny in a hotel room — EVER! This is the laziest staff that I have ever experienced in my entire life and the worst hotel stay I have ever had I will NEVER stay at this sorry excuse for a Sheraton property again, and if you are smart, you won’t either The Sheraton name should not be on this building

Brady Gabbitas

The front staff was amazing The major problem with my stay was that there was a large wedding party that was staying at the property There was running around, banging on doors and yelling until 3 in the morning

I made a complaint to the front desk but it sounded like the owners family was the one having the wedding I was told to make a complaint in the morning with the manager when they got in I had to leave by 4 am for a flight Too bad I’ll be looking for a different hotel next time I’m in the area Again the staff was great

Matt Stropes

Perhaps the worst managed hotel I have ever stayed at Terribly maintained Room had light fixture in bedroom that wouldn’t work

Bathroom door was warped and would not shut completely Toilet paper holder would not hold the toilet paper, just fell off All but one ice machine were out of order No fresh towels each dayBut they did have an over supply of caution tape And they weren’t afraid to use itSheraton should pull their franchise

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in awhile The staff seemed rude I asked if you were allowed to was laundry since they had the door open and it looked like you could

So I asked and the guy responded a little rude “huh no” This made me feel embarrassed We had to buy a fan ti not hear the outside noise because the air conditioner wouldn’t stay on There was hardly never any breakfast if there was it was not good If you want breakfast be down there before 9 because we were told at 9 it was cut off when we were down there eating after 9 another day The pool had a white looking film on it and burned your eyes You could tell the room was old The room was small and a little cramped You could tell someone had been smoking in our room when it says it’s a 100% smoke free The bathroom is just a shower across from a toilet hard to move around because of it The bed was comfy to a degree The refrigerator had no shelves in it so we had to but a little amount of water and drinks in it The outlets on the lamp didn’t work The chair in our room was broken The back of it was broken and it put a big hole in my shirt The front of the chair leaned forward and jiggled The night stand was chipped and wasn’t the best We had to go to the front desk and ask for toilet paper after being there for 3 days and we had no towels There is more I could say but I won’t Just I was very unsatisfied and want someone else to know that this hotel might not be the best choice

David Lastname

I showed up on July 3rd to get a room and they had plenty The rate was a good deal for a King size bed I got into the room, for the price it’s exactly what I expected

Not absolutely gorgeous perfect BUT still CLEAN, smelled nice, mini fridge and microwave in the room which may seem standard but isn’t always so extremely nice to have The shower, while the pressure is a little weak, gets NICE and HOT so you can actually GET CLEAN which is fantastic The best part, to me, was the bed A nice, firm mattress but not stiff as a plank of wood It had just enough give to let your body move into the mattress but still kept your back straight I went to bed with a sore lower back from driving and woke up feeling fantasticAll in all, a genuinley great hotel experience

Harvey Dagg

Hi I am not normally one to complain about anything I usually just grit my teeth and walk away but today June 25th at the Sleep Inn in O’fallon Illinois we checked in to our hotel only to get up to the room (317) and the maid informed us that the room wasn’t clean to go get a new room

We went back to the front desk and were given room 305 Upon entering we noted that the room had an odor and was dirty The been liner and sheets were urine stained and there were greasy marks up and down the wardrobe cabinet The towels had old make up smears and looked used The pillows were just extra sheets rolled into pillow cases There were food crumbs between the sheets This is unacceptable We paid almost 200$ for a single night stay and this is not worth my money

Wow! The location is super awesome and feels safe (even at night, when I stopped late) The staff is very nice, the rooms are clean, it’s gorgeous inside the hotel, and I felt compelled to walk around even after a full day of driving I could walk into the room without feeling the need to have extra cleaning service, and I felt at ease

I love this place! Definitely stay here I’ll definitely stay in another Drury

Scott Rektenwald

This place was excellent It worked perfectly for our family of 4 Loved all the extras: breakfast, kickback (let’s be honest this is a full meal besides desert), sodas, drinks, popcorn, and more

Pool was great We enjoyed every minute of our stay One of the elevators was broken during most of our stay But not a big deal Just took longer with things like luggage carts

Sabrina Slonim

Beautiful place The property is clean and seems safe Large, well-lit parking lot

Staff is very friendly and accommodating The rooms and beds are clean and comfortable We stayed in a 2 room suite which was HUGE The only thing I could even try to complain a out was the blow dryer only had low speed Dinner, 3 drinks, and breakfast is offered for each night of your stay Pets are welcome!!! I would stay again in a heartbeat

The staff is so welcoming and amazingly nice! The hotel is clean and very homey! When the front desk is manned by Jay and Dave there’s always going to be a smile on your face! Honestly they are the nicest people i have ever met! My family was in a tough spot (we had mold in our house and couldn’t stay in it any longer due to the fact our 2 and 3 year old babies got extremely sick) Jay went out of his way to make sure we had a good rate that would give us the opportunity to stay somewhere until we found more permanent housing They are always there to help with anything they can or just have a lighthearted and fun conversation! In this dark time we are lucky to have found comfort and sunshine! Thank you so much!

C Ratcliff

This was a great hotel in its price point The room was clean, pool was nice and warm, breakfast was a great free extra and had a good variety and was good But the thing that really left me wanting to leave a review was the awesome staff

The management must be doing a fantastic job training and creating a welcoming environment, because not just one but all of the staff members we encountered were so warm and welcoming and made me want to use this hotel again in the future

Magen Richard

When checking in, we were told the room was marked occupied When checked it was not, however it was extremely hot The air conditioner was then turned on and set to 60

We checked in after midnight, as we were traveling and only planned to sleep, then hit the road againMy husband and I were exhausted as we worked all day, then hit the road to get this far, before getting a good night sleep Well, neither of us had a good night sleepWhen checking out the next morning, I reported it and was told, with the construction going on in our hotel, we are limited on king rooms so you were probably given a room that the air conditioner had problemsMy daughter used to manage a hotel, and she told me that was probably why it was marked occupied (So we were knowingly given a room with no air)We would have gladly taken any size room with working air conditioning, had we have been offered, rather than suffocating waiting for the room to cool downCost us $12067I typically do not leave bad reviews, I don’t like to leave bad reviews, we are business owners ourselves and we know that never goes awayBut in this case, our $12067 was more important than our comfort

Was a quick stay Just an overnight place to sleep in preparation for a dance competition at the Gateway Center, right across the street Hotel is perfectly located to restaurants, Wal-Mart, etc

Hotel was nice, quiet, clean and comfortable Pool was good too Would stay here again Very clean shower head Last hotel, not this one, had a lot of calcium build up on the shower head Very nice people

John Hueller

Probably the dirtiest marriott facilities I’ve ever stayed in We were hoping to get a good night sleep, but our room was next to a girl dance team, slamming doors all night and yelling And the guys on the motorcycle dirt bike team racing through the parking lots in the middle of the night

The next morning in the breakfast area was similar to a prison riot Although the guy serving us breakfast was helpful and friendly Place needs a full makeover, good thing the room was free because we used points , otherwise I would have given 1 star

Brad Middleton

The hotel is what it is Decently clean although the bath room shower could use some love They ran out of pillow cases

Biggest thing is I’ve been trying to call them for 3 days after our stay because they overcharged us and no one will answer the phone I had to call Marriott Support and open a ticket to have them call me I won’t be staying at this hotel during our next trip to the area

This place was great! My niece hosted a small birthday party here that went very well It was easy getting the girls ready for the pool The pool had access to a restroom across the hall, which we all know how that can go if the restroom isn’t close

Rachel made us feel right at home by being welcoming all while ensuring that we stayed within the guidelines of guest policies I appreciate it when someone in customer service can go above and beyond, maintain their composure, and keep safety in mind Thank you for helping make my niece’s day special

Seth Nichols

Clean rooms, but nothing special The service was excellent Everyone at the front desk was very polite and helpful

Even the cleaning crew was kind and respectful of privacy The location isn’t good if you’re trying to do/see anything interesting easily There’s a Circle K within walking distance and other than that, it’s just off the highway A good 20 minutes to downtown

Jennifer Tab

I usually stay at Holiday inn, it’s reasonable, I’m a member and it’s usually really clean This one was no exception You won’t be disappointed

They may be a little short staffed but everything looks good, the staff are friendly and very courteous The only reason I’m giving it four stars and not five is because breakfast is so expensive But I’ll be back since it’s kind of close to where we need to go when in town, lots of restaurants and shipping nearby

Excellent facility relatively recently constructed Great location with local shops and a fantastic restaurant next door The evening bar offers a surprisingly good selection for a quiet chat or meeting a fellow traveller over a nightcap

The rooms were modest but modern and well maintainedThe pool is quite small so with just a few families, it can be quickly filled to a near unusable capacity On the other hand, the fitness center is well stocked Pro tip: use the fitness center at night to avoid the pre-work busy timeThe only thing that really let the side down was the breakfast fare I never would have said a few years ago that a comfort inn would beat a Marriott affiliated property on breakfast but that day has arrived They need more selection as this one barely rises above “continental breakfast” in the derisive sense of the term And that, only because they put microwave sandwiches on a tray as the “hot breakfast”

Michelina Darby

Clean, quiet and comfortable! Moving across the country and found the Fairfield Inn along the drive—sooo glad we booked here! Lots of restaurants surrounding within walking distance Got a flat tire and luckily there is a local tire shop right across the street! Rooms are spacious and clean and the AC is perfectly powerful Thank you to the staff for working so hard to make our quick stay seamless and enjoyable

Sarah Rohde-Acker

We always stay at Marriott for work, and this is the first time I have left any kind of review The front desk manager went above and beyond for me this past Monday morning! Uber and Lyft had no drivers available for over 30 min at 8:30 am on a Monday morning!?! She went out of her way to get me to my 9 am meeting on time! I will definitely stay here again when I come back through town!

The room was clean and quiet The beds were firmer than I preferred, but still not uncomfortable They were perfect for my parents

There were plenty of pillows with varying heights and firmness so we each had a perfect pillow for us We loved having a regular refrigerator and freezer The rest of the kitchenette will be nice if we ever want to eat in on a future visit The staff were awesome too I had missed a charger cable and my calf massager when I was packing; they called before we were out of town to let us know we’d left it We very much enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to staying there again on future visits Thank you Candlewood Suites!

Overall everything was really nice Beds were comfy and lots of pillows were a plusOnly issues

Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner and dishes in the kitchenette were wet with lids attachedWe would definitely stay here again though

My reservation was messed up from the beginning I was asked for $100 incidentals deposit upon arrival that was never mentioned The next day I was told i couldn’t stay because they were sold out

IHG Guest Relations was no help In the end, I had to find two other hotels to complete my 5 day stay need To add insult to injury, they doubled charged me for a pet fee It’s a beautiful hotel, but service is piss poor I would never stay at an IHG property again

Stay far far away from this hotel The night staff were super nice and friendly but the room? Wow Electrical hazard, toilet isn’t stable, the sink counter is held up with two pieces of wood and piece of sheet rock on the other side

Look under the counter the plumbing is scary itself The tub? It’s something you’d see from 3 decades ago Need shampoo? Forget it, you’ll need to go up to the front desk to ask for it Book a room? Don’t count on getting it as you won’t get the room you bookedThen in your non booked room, the pull out couch? You’ll likely need to tear off the gross cover and hope there’s bedding otherwise you’ll need be back up at the front desk(luckily the manager was on site and happened be in the room notice they bedding wasn’t there) I strongly recommend you don’t look under the couch No one moves it to vacuum it Towels? We had towels but two of the towels had stains on them Don’t expect fresh pillow either The rooms are supplied with old pillowsNext let’s talk about the wash cloth hanger, yeah that was broken to the room really needed far more detailed cleaning then it gets The room didn’t have any smell bad as other reports stated prior to my review Breakfast? Breakfast was mediocre at best The breakfast area needs some attention as well as the equipmentI’m assuming the manager was who happened to be on site(05/28/2022) I will say she was super friendly and very customer satisfaction focused, along with the gentleman who checked us in I really enjoyed speaking to both as neither gave negative attitude or nasty attitude The manager also was taking notes and looked at things pointed out to herOverall, I won’t recommend anyone to this hotel but i again want to highlight the friendly night staff For the future, I hope they have name tags so that if I ever stay here again I may leave a better more positive review to hopefully mention them once again!

Clean and large rooms with comfortable beds Overall the building is well maintained and relatively new – my visit was in early 2022 Friendly and helpful staff

The hot breakfast was basic but hot and good It’s located off the interstate and easy to get to Very close to many restaurants I stayed for business and will be staying again

I’ve worked in the service industry for 24 years and interviewed and hired hundreds of candidatesI have to tell you I was on a Saturday night to Sunday morning shift I interacted with four people at the front, breakfast people and some housekeeping

There were sincere hearts of service so there’s good selection going on there in the interview process and it seems like a good culture coming from leadership here very good service at the front deskI have three kids and I come with my needs and I just got great service from everyone I interacted with todayI have to tell you this hotel is led well I directly interacted with the assistant manager Adam and shared my experience and his response to my positive review made me even more of a fan of this hotel If I need to stay somewhere in the St Louis area trust me you just became my first choice

Very clean, modern updated Hampton Rooms are a little larger and have the sliding bathroom/closet door If possible, pick a room facing the hospital and pond on the back

FYI there is good walking path around the pond Breakfast was a little below average for Hampton with the only fruit being red apples and no smoothies 4 out of 5 days was eggs and 1 day premade western omelettes with potatoes and sausage Waffle maker, yogurts and oatmeal available Front desk was friendly when there but personnel missing at times Great location for easy access to restaurants and stores Overall good stay and would stay again
