The hotel was great, the staff was very friendly! The breakfast was very tasty with many options Our room was clean, except for a piece of trimmed hair still in the bathroom The only reasons they arenā€™t getting 5 stars is because all other hotels I have been in offer coffee all day and the valet charges $32 for overnight parking when the sign says $20, but $20 is only the day price

Also, a block away is the parking garage where they park your car, for $20 overnight during the week and the weekend is $10

Jacob Tennie

The Hyatt has great service, polite staff and speedy service The facilities were very high standard The parking costs 32 extra but is well worth the great staff and having your car on hand

The breakfast was included and offered great choices The bedroom was interesting decor, but relaxing and offered a quiet night rest For down town Milwaukee the cost was par the course

This is simply one of the best Hilton properties I have stayed at The staff here simply goes above and beyond Huge recognition needs to be known by corporate about how kind phenomenal human beings Heather, Jose, and the afternoon front desk worker who was working on Thursday 1/6

She was just equally about as genuine and a awesome human being Each guest room is impeccably clean and I canā€™t speak higher of the gym and hot tub facilities which are superior to most This is just an all around amazing experience in Milwaukee Thanks Heather, Jose, and staff!

Susan Hazlett

We were a large group of family and friends in town for my daughterā€™s wedding The hotel is a historical property that has been beautifully restored, taking advantage of some lovely architectural details The rooms are interesting, clean and well maintained

The location is great The front desk, housekeeping and breakfast staff are knowledgeable and friendly Worth every penny! Thank you!

Mike St John

Friendly and helpful staff Rooms were clean and bright Always enjoy having a full sized fridge and kitchenette space

The location is perfect for walking the river or getting to Lake Michigan Does not have a pool, yet it has a neat splash pad for the kids and a hot tub for the adults Will be staying here next visit to Milwaukee next year

This is a good hotel for a long stay, whether you’re waiting to get into a house or there for work The well-stocked kitchenette with a full refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and ice maker was awesome to have As a long term stay location, house keeping isn’t the same as other hotels but it doesn’t take much to empty trash and request new towels periodically

Breakfast and standard toiletries are not free but again, this is a place to stay for longer stretches versus a single nightThe important stuff:- Full kitchen with two stove burner and fridge/freezer- 20+ various kitchen appliances available to borrow from the front desk- FREE laundry machines- Covered patio with propane grill- Good water pressure/temperature control- Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in showers- Friendly staff!Probably more, but this is not a fancy hotel but clean and extremely convenient and practical 10/10 would stay here again

Ian Xiong

This place is ok and very affordable but the wifi is kot so good Pretty strict almost got kicked out because my baby was crying late at night and someone reported it Rude neighbour’s

The room 307 AC didn’t work so it was hot we complained a few times and they didn’t do anything about it But other hotel rooms AC worked I wouldn’t suggest this hotel unless it’s a last resort Also the walls were really thin

This was our first stay on our honeymoon and we loved it! My husband found the place almost by accident while looking for an affordable hotel last minute The hostess was very kind and offered a few options for us, including a beautiful room with a lovely spa with a delicious breakfast in the morning The place was beautifully decorated with lots of local art available for viewing or purchase

After checking in, we walked a block or so down the street to a very nice little bar called Sugar Maple The area was very safe and clean and we felt totally comfortable in the neighborhood We have already recommended to all of our family and plan to stay here again soon!

Rosa Pritchard

We really enjoyed our stay at the Muse Mary Ellen and Andrew were great hosts! We enjoyed our wine , cheese and sangria upon arrival and had a lovely chat with Mary Ellen The room was comfortable

I especially enjoyed the jetted tub after a long travel day Breakfast was delicious and Andrew makes a great cup of English tea Location was convenient to the airport Would definitely stay again!

Amelia Fawcett

My husband and I were visiting Milwaukee for a wedding and I’m soooo glad we stayed here instead of a hotel! Mary Ellen is very welcoming and the house is gorgeous There’s lots of interesting decor to look at, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom in our suite was like a spa We were also blown away by the deliciousness of the breakfasts and the amazing sangria we got when we arrived

So good I’ve already recommended this place to my family and friends!

Great location Clean room FRIENDLY staff

The room was small but we were only there to sleep, so that wasn’t a big deal We book through Priceline and it showed that there was a pool No pool, but there were so many other things to do in the area that we didn’t miss it The kids loved the old US Mail drops Parking was very close and economical Would stay there again!

Hannah Avdic

The hotel has a great location downtown Close to the riverside and pabst theater The staff wasn’t very kind

Other breakfast was pretty empty when we went downstairs I went to inform the front desk and had to wait until they finished a conversation They then brought out cold coffee, not even fresh There were 6 people behind the front desk, as the trash cans were overflowing The beds were the ones with metal springs, so uncomfortable my back hurt for 3 days The rooms were clean though I wouldn’t stay here again

Trina Richardson

Joyce (Front Desk Manager) and Gwen (Room Cleaning Manager) were both very nice and accommodating When we first arrived we were assigned a room the size of a young childā€™s bedroom When we went back down to ask if we could be switched to another room, Joyce did not hesitate and the next room she gave us was nice and spacious

The only 3 things we didnā€™t like was that all 4 of the pillows were soft instead of a mix of soft and firm and the breakfast was not good at all (fake sausage and fake cheese omelettes, boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt and bagels) There are other breakfast places within walking distance Third, parking is $20 per day in the parking garage across the street So keep that in mind Maybe it would help if they could validate our parking voucherWe didnā€™t go down to complain about those things because everyone had been so accommodating in all of the other areasOverall, Joyce and Gwen were awesome!! I hope management will give them great raises and promotions! Gwen gave suggestions on where to eat dinner and things to do ā¤ļøHope my review was helpful!!TRS

We stayed here as part of a trip to the Wisconsin State Fair I was apprehensive because I don’t know Milwaukee at all Check in was easy

The attendant was the manager and was so friendly and yet complete with his checkin No doubt, he understands the hospitality industry We had a room with two double beds It was really nice and looked updated The beds were super comfortable My only suggestion would be to put a lamp by the round table in the corner by the door Although we didn’t use it, the manager mentioned the shuttle to the state fair and my husband said the breakfast downstairs was awesome Honestly, we’ll be back to the State fair and this will be the first place we stay!

Melissa Hubbard

My husband and I stayed here last night, traveling for business This hotel has been recently renovated or they might still be completing the Renovations But it was very modern, clean, comfortable and quiet

The rate was very good The staff in the hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful I would say the way the hotel is set up is kind of strange but that’s because of where it is located, it is in the downtown area We had dinner and drinks at the bar/restaurant and the food and service were very good We had the southwest chicken salad and a few wings We had a double queen room, it was kind of cramped especially if you were to have more than 2 adults in there Breakfast was pancakes, oatmeal, Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwiches, cereal and breads All in all I would stay here again

Connie Wittling

Above and beyond service, manager asked shuttle driver to come in early so we could make a tailgate event for ALS Driver Dave is awesome, the pool was a big hit, the food was great, but most of all, customer service to the max! Every employee we had contact with was fantastic, absolutely staying again Family and friends, six rooms, no complaints

Its outdated but is a clean, affordable, and simple motel Great, safe location near highway, attractions, and children’s hospital If you’re looking for a hotel with amenities this is not the place

But if you’re just looking for a place to sleep this is just fine I was in town for my son to have surgery so I just needed a room for a day Front desk was nice and very accommodating with the time frame that I needed the room It was nice that I didn’t have to hike through a big hotel just to get to my room I was able to park right by the entrance and then my room was 1 door down Also ended up being cheaper than what it had said online Would definitely come here again

Tyler Thomas

It’s a nice modest, locally owned hotel Front desk staff was nice, and the check in was very fast compared to most hotels Room is decently spacious

The most important thing to me is cleanliness, and this hotel nailed it Excellent clean rooms especially considering the reasonable price WIFI is decent for the price My only complaint would be that the rooms need more power outlets Other than that I would highly recommend this place for anyone in the area

Cynthia Floodstrand

A modest Inn but extremely clean, tidy and the staff is very accommodating! A very quiet location

comfy beds and room accessories Easy off and onto the highway only blocks from the Zoo !Thanks again to the management and staff for a great visit !

Blood stains and hair on bed sheets, no soap in the shower, and semi-working TV, are the issues that we encountered during our 1-night stayWe have communicated these issues; bed sheets were replaced but forced us to leave the room with our toddler for exchange The people who replaced it had a strong cigarette smell that stayed in the room for another 30min

The hotel GM felt that this experience was work 1,600 points (around $12 value) I am a gold life status and stayed in many properties in my life, while the hotel looks new and modern, the Maintenace and cleaning made me question what is happening thereIf it was me, I would skip this location at all cost – if that’s what I found out in a night, I can only imagine what else could have gone wrong

Tolu Ojesina

The front desk always attended us with a cheery smile The hotel lobby had a relaxed ambience Our room was clean and spacious

It was relatively easy to get on and off the highway Just pay extra attention to the 41N and 41S signs I inadvertently drove past the on-ramp a few times due to construction, lol!My only ding is the itty bitty fridge but it’s not enough to keep me awayI highly recommend

r laitinen

location and the staff were awesome—helpful and super friendly! The front desk employees are a joy to deal with-no matter how busy it gets Our room was clean and welcoming I recommend this hotel to folks who need treatment at the close by Froedart hospital/clinic

Great location and easy access to hospital, clinic, restaurants etc The BEST!

Kinn Guesthouse is a gem even amongst Milwaukee’s best hotelsStaying there was a heartwarming experience Michael, the manager, is easy to communicate with, very responsive, and when you meet him in person, extremely warm

Since it was our wedding weekend, he even had little details like flowers and champagne in our room For breakfast, you get high quality pastries The common room’s pantry is well-stocked (better than any other hotel or B&B you’ll stay at) And we even had mimosas c/o MichaelWe rented out 7 rooms for our bridal party and we were able to treat it like a giant communal house Family photos were taken in the common room, the rooms were spacious with high ceilings and lots of natural light, perfect for wedding prep photos Every guest said “Wow!” when they first entered each of their roomsWe couldn’t have asked for a better experience, a better hotel, or a warmer host 100/10 would recommend to any couple, individual, or wedding party!

Sarah Rudolf

I was in town for a work meeting I prefer to stay in neighborhoods vs downtown chain hotels whenever possible, so was intrigued by the Kinn

I am so glad I booked my stay here – no front desk or key to deal with, just a code in my email Gorgeously appointed room with access to shared fireside lounge and kitchen Super cute area of town with nearby cafes and shops Free parking in back Be aware that most rooms are up a flight of stairs I’d definitely stay here again!

Nick Farr

We were really stunned with how beautiful the property is! We were looking for a calm, walkable neighborhood location near the Lake Express Ferry We got that and a lot more Room 8 is perfect for families or larger groups with lots of space, high ceilings, an amazing kitchen and a separate accessible entrance from the parking lot

We arrived a bit too late to eat at the restaurant, but there’s lots of great options within walking distance or for delivery We got everything we needed to check in and check out without having to talk to anyone! I have no plans to go back to Milwaukee, but I’m looking forward to staying here again!

I truly enjoy staying at this hotel Traveling with small children, the room sizes help make the stay more comfortable The location is great being right off the freeway, and it is super easy to get anywhere in the area

The best part by far is the people The front desk staff, maintenance, cleaning, and breakfast crew are all super friendly We had an issue one morning with the hot breakfast items all containing pork, and the staff member went into the back to grab me a non-meat option for the kids I’ve stayed here a few times when visiting Milwaukee, and this stay solidified its place as my top choice!

Mary Johnson

If you are expecting a heated pool, skip this hotel! Staff all have a different story as to why the pool isnā€™t heated enough to swim in To prevent algae? The outside temperature effects the pool temperature? Just admit that you are told by corporate not to heat the pool Other reviews from quite a while ago, mention how nice the pool is

New owner? On a positive note, the breakfast was nice and the lovely woman who serves it during the week is a treasure!

Nathan Schultz

This is bar none the best hotel experience I’ve had in yearsFirst, I booked with a travel package including tickets which I called to inquire about getting prior to check in Not only did they ensure they were ready for me, they also had our room ready at the time of pickup (before noon) which was incredibly convenient

When I called regarding the tickets I received an immediate call back when arrangements were made the day prior, as well as a phone call the day of to confirm (We all know how many times soemthing like this is communicated only to show up and wait an hour while they scratch their heads the day of)Second, the hotel was immaculate, modern and had great water pressure and temperature control in the room The pool and workout facilities were excellent, the outdoor workout area and patio were incredible tooThird and most importantly, everyone on the staff was incredibly accommodating, very friendly and greeted us all with a smileWe will stay gain and look forward too it!

Front desk and breakfast staff were helpful and friendly Very spacious rooms but need updating Full kitchen but extremely limited cookware- we had to request a frying pan

Only complaint is housekeeping- we stayed for about a month between homes and requested housekeeping weekly They never changed the sheets, didn’t vacuum, didnt wipe down surfaces and left some trash cans full The only way I could tell they were even there was because we got fresh towels and shampoo

magdalena rosario

It room was clean and bed was comfortable We would have rated better but no hot water had to take shower in another room after calling several times to guest services We were locked put of our room due to batteries died so our card did not work

There was no compensation for all the inconveniences I have stayed at many Residents in and never had as many issues

Charlice M Drexler

I scheduled a room and was put in room 702 I liked the layout of the room with tall ceiling and large window As soon as I got inside I went straight to the bathroom, the toilet looked like it did not clean for weeks

Full of stains of peopleā€™s business in their The carpet has stains on it The tub was rusty, the kitchen counter and microwave were dirty I had to talk to front desk person and she sent someone to clean the room I was supposed to stay there for 7 nights I was so unhappy I did not want to be charged for last minute cancellation so I only stayed for 2 nights To tell you the truth, I will never stay in this hotel nor will I let anyone I know stay in this place

The amenities were good but I canā€™t recommend anyone stay here especially if youā€™re going to park on premises Multiple cars were broken into, eventually including our own, night after night during my stay Looks like this has been happening for months if not longer, and yet there are still not enough security measures being taken to deter whoever keeps doing this

Zero cameras in the north lot, which is full of broken glass Also, even though the staff were aware that multiple car windows were smashed and a thunderstorm was expected, no one thought to contact us or to put anything over our window, so we found it in the morning and now weā€™ve got water damage too The waffles at breakfast were pretty good though

Meg Bray

We agree, stay AWAY! We went to the Brewers game& came back to a parking lot of full of vehicles with their windows broken out (at least 5) that we saw driving through to turn around & park somewhere else I’m pregnant & was a bit worried about what was going on We went to the front desk to report it & the front desk said they were aware

We went up to our floor & found rooms of people that were packing up & leaving They were there since Thursday & this was the second time they experienced the break ins They also told us that some of their vehicles were stolen earlier too! Nope, all of our group (8 people) packed up & checked out Being in my 3rd trimester we were not going to risk having our brand new truck stolen or broken into!!! The front desk was unhelpful & cold when we asked about a refund for rooms we never even got to use We simply got a business card for the manager maybe with all this going on the manager should be there at night to help the staff very disappointed on how the situations were treated Especially for those that experienced it more than once! I didn’t even hear a simple “sorry” to anyone involved

Andrew B

I have been staying here on a regular basis for over a year, and while the hotel is nice, the neighborhood is not I have had not one, but two vehicles broken into and windows shattered this week, and this morning there was about 15 trucks broken into And despite being told by Milwaukee police they need to address their lack of security cameras in their parking lot, they refuse to do anything about it

Nice hotel, but I wouldn’t trust leaving your car here This apparently happens all the time

Fabulous hotel First time staying here, retro styled, newly remodeled, very comfortable room Stayed in a premier king room

Location is very quiet and safe A bit of a walk to restaurants and bars, but worth it since the hotel is just plain cool Was pleased that it had such a nice mother with everything you would need, including a gas stove and large refrigerator We’ll definitely stay here again

Christina Aro

Very cute hotel with comfy studio apartment-type rooms The kitchen includes all of the supplies you would need to cook a meal There is a grocery store across the street as well, so it would be easy to pick up the food supplies needed

Parking is provided for an extra fee The hotel still uses old fashioned keys rather than swipe cards, in case that is an issue for anyone (we did not find it problematic) There is also a great cafe in the hotel that had very tasty food and coffee Note that some units are actual apartments with full-time residents–again, this was not an issue for us, just something we did not know prior to checking inHotel is also in a safe and convenient location It is maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the lakefront and the art museum, and we walked to Summerfest in about 20-30 minutes

Angela Galitski

Retro hotel in an ideal location You can walk to the river Walk in under 10min There is no a/c but you are able to open windows onto a courtyard with a nice breeze and has a ceiling fan

Very quiet location with a comfy bed to recover from a long drive from California Service is great and good is amazing! Be sure to order ahead and take back to your room that is equipped with a kitchen!

The hotel itself is dated and slightly worn, however, the room was very clean We came in contact with many staff members, and they were all so friendly I, specifically, want to recognize Sharon who was working the front desk area

Sharon was efficient, professional and congenial Marriott is extremely fortunate to have Sharon as an employee What a fabulous first impression!

We have been staying here through my daughters college years at UWM and this was our final stay due to graduation If my daughter did not graduate we would definitely look elsewhere for a hotel room We were early and arrived at noon, we were told by the shorter heavy set woman check in is at 3

She told us she would check how long before our room would be ready 10 minutes later she comes back, ignores the fact we are sitting there waiting and goes to back only to come out with a plate of food and sits in lobby eating while watching tv Then 3 other employees come to lobby to converse and buy snacks (yes, everyone needs a break i agree) but these were all cleaning people The cleaning manager asked them if they had work to do? Slowly dispersing I think they went back to work Also 1 lady worker stood at front counter the hole time we were there We checked in at 3 Cleaning manager said he cleaned room himself which took 1 hour 15 minutes after he said give him 20-25 minutes Oh did I mention, the desk clerk went back for food 2 more times for herself That evening there was a tall slender woman behind the desk What a joy compared to the cranky one in the morning I think she needs to look elsewhere for employment since she definitely shouldn’t be the face of Marriott

Most of the staff are extremely rude The rooms are not cleaned There’s dirty dishes in the kitchen and mold in the shower

I’ve had multiple things stolen from and no help from the staff besides a vague email weeks ago from the manager They won’t clean your room until you ask multiple times Even then, all they’ll do is take the trash out and give you new towels

Currently staying at the facility and thereā€™s ants on the night stand and in the bed Requested to cancel the second night and was denied because we used a third party So I then ask if someone could atleast clean the room and was told maintenance has to physically see the ants

My best advise is to not stay at this hotel itā€™s infested Iā€™ve just wasted money but I would rather waste them be ate up by bugs
