The front desk was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived Check in was great and the customer service was awesome! Lobby area was really clean! The room was spotless clean and the beds were so comfortable! I stayed at Hampton Inn Shreveport when I first arrived and it was awful! I canceled the remainder of my stay over there and came here I’m so GLAD I did! I know where I’ll be staying from now on when I come to Louisiana! Keep up the EXCELLENT work!

adriana lozano

Totally would stay here again Everything was clean The staff through the night was great

The same day we left I received a call after a couple hours I had left my rings behind A friend was still checked in and they were handed over fo her Thankful for their call and honestyThis place was totally a 5 star!

Ken McPherson

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great, and the room was mostly clean I say mostly because there was a used wash cloth in the shower, the sink wasn’t fully clean The sheets were clean and made and there were fresh towels and washcloths in the room

Had I said something I don’t have any doubt they would’ve come serviced the room I didn’t because there were fresh washcloths and sheets and that’s all I needed

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but the lady running the front desk during check in was on her personal phone on speaker every time we went through the lobby or asked a question and seemed uninterested in helping us The morning lady however was fantastic and friendly! My kids commented on how sweet she was! The shower did have hair in it and there was a piece of broken glass my kid found in the bathroom The pool was NOT clean enough to use unfortunately

Otherwise it was a decent stay and we will stay again

Keegan Lile

Was awfully disappointed upon check-in to find (I suppose) the previous tenant had left food in the fridge, also turning it all the way off, leaving a melted and soaked mess If you see this, you’re a nasty oversized childBut the room was a decent size, and the AC was hands down rhe best I’ve had in any hotel so far

Wifi was also a nice speed And the ladies who were there at the front desk while I was staying there were super nice and helpful

Miracle Hill

The front desk ladies are so nice The 2 stars are for them My room was filthy

A dirty towel was in my shower, blood or ketchup was on my bed, and the TV console had old food and liquid on it I felt very unsafe This is not a hotel for a woman to stay alone There are strange people hanging around looking at you like they want to rob you As I was walking out the hotel, a young lady was being chased by the police Not sure if she was a guest but the police arrested her directly in the front entrance of the hotel I was very uneasy about staying the night here and almost left honestly

Knowing we would arrive late, we tried for 40 minutes (3 rounds with the hotel operator) to inform the hotel and confirm the reservation but were never able to get through Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk and there were other guests who had been waiting Multiple guests tried calling but only got through to a hotel operator as we had earlier in the night

We waited over 20 minutes with 3 other groups of guests for someone to come to the front desk and start checking in the groupsWhen we finally got to the room, we found there were small items left on random ledges of the room which gave us major concerns about the level of thoroughness of house keepingThe evening after we left I realized I had left my kindle in the room and called as soon as I noticed They transferred me around a few times and the manager said the room was not yet cleaned but she would check and call me back I was also instructed to file a report with their lost and found website I never heard back from the manager even after I called back two days and left a message I received an automated email stating my item was not found It has been a full week and still no communication Very disappointed

Trevor Gesik

Whenever we go to Bossier/Shreveport we always seem to have a negative experience in the terms of customer service This trip was completely different Ms

Kelly, at the front desk, checked us in and she was superb! Super friendly, happy and very down to earth The other locations we went had great customer service too but we wanted to highlight Kelly!! Great job and keep it going!!

Michael Chaney

I think the food was the jewel in the crown We loved the Port Seafood restaurant Out of the 3 nights we stayed, we ate seafood twice

Just delicious! I must say the Bellman”s desk was excellent I came for a visit with my medical equipment I didn’t get the Lady bellman name, but she was all hands on deck I going to the Horseshoe for a 5 day stay and I’m looking forward to it

Super friendly night check-in manager, Elizabeth We got in late, and she was not only wide awake, but friendly Quick, pleasant instructions on the dog policy

The hotel was very clean, kudos to housekeeping My room smelled nice I always worry about pet friendly hotels smelling like stinky pets The bathtub was the most dated thing in the room, but the shower was fine I feel that if I cared about taking baths, they would have given me another room without a problem I wouldn’t mind staying there for an extended stayThe parking lot was well lit and the area felt really safe Nice big grassy area in the back for dogsThe gym was small, but clean and adequately equipped Free weights, ellipticals, treadmills 2 huge mirrors No yoga mats, but there were towels to throw on the floor

BandN Cunning

Super friendly staff Great size gym and even a stretching machine which was greatly appreciated on our long road trip Breakfast was good

My only issue was the floors in our room were gross When we got wet in shower then stepped in the towel after stepping on floor the towel was filthy Felt like they used swiffer spray instead of soap Filmy… would recommend overall Just wear shower or house shoes

Mandy LaBrash

If you want affordable luxury, look no further This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed & my wife wanted to look into weekly rates! She liked how it was upscale without being snobby Maybe it’s just me but I felt the history of the building while appreciating the updated decor

And the staff was 5 star as wellWe booked through a 3rd party who got the reservation wrong The manager acted quickly and even upgraded us & added a complimentary bottle of wine We look forward to staying in the Van Gogh room next time

Mary Hansen

The complimentary breakfast advertised on the website consisted of store-bought breakfast sandwiches to microwave and cold cereal And even those were not on offer on weekends, when the only in-house option was a so-so $25 per person buffet! Parking was $25 per day in a neighborhood with posted rates of $25 PER MONTH There was shower gel but no hand soap in the bathroom! A lack of soft items in the large room and hallways made for echoes loud enough to wake me

The lights on the phone came on without reason There were lots of minor maintenance problems in the room and throughout the property, including a door lock that had to be partly reassembled each time we opened the door and carpet in common areas that wasn’t vacuumed over the entirety of our one-week stay The bed was the only upside — new and comfortable

Nancy Price

From the moment I walked in I loved the place Its so unique and clean!! The staff was very kind and accommodating!!I had to go to the spa as I’ve heard how great they are by locals and mutual friends!! Crystal Villarreal Aesthetics did my dermaplaning and then the signature plus HydraFacial in which you get the led light therapy A growth factor booster along with peptides & antioxidants infused

It was amazing!!! My skin has never looked so smooth and glowing !!!Crystal was so professional and kind and explained everything she was doing before she started and all along the way!! I’ve never felt so pampered! If you live locally it’s a must to get the wonderful spa treatments! If you are visiting the area and want to have the best facial ever, you will be extremely pleased and so relaxed when you leave!!!!!

I enjoyed the room itself but the check-in process was very difficult I came in on a work trip with a room booked through my company and Mac at the front desk refused to help me check in I asked Mac what I needed to do in order to allow me into my room and he told me I should already know

Giving vague answers to important questions is very frustrating If he had given me a name of who to contact or asked for some type of proof I would have provided it to him Anyway, I ended up waiting for Mac to finish his shift and easily checked in when his relief showed up I had proper ID and company credentials Mac was just out to make peoples lives difficult If I were traveling on my own time I would never stay here because of my experience at the front desk

Brittney Kirkland

Overall the room was clean and the ac was great was nice and cold The staff was very nice especially miss brittney The location was just right close to the freeway and close to the shopping

Great breakfast However the pool was freezing cold due to their building design flaw the way they built it kept the sun from reaching the pool to heat it up When we stayed 04/29/22-05/01/22 it reached over 89 degrees outside and we all went swimming and had to get out immediately as it was freezing cold And their elevator is our biggest issue we had gotten trapped a total of 4 times Yes we can use the stairs but my husband is handicapped and has to use the elevator to go up and down A staff member was yelling and screaming help as she was stuck and their emergency phone inside the elevator is non working We would have given it a one star but the friendly staff deserves a star We were charged 45 dollars for 2 waters and a lunchable as well

Chloe Collins

1 Staff was unable to provide towels after housekeeping removed towels from room during routine cleaning2 Housekeepers were also unable to provide towels on second day3

No remote in room- called front desk and was not assisted One day later, received broken remote4 Humidity issue in room, damp carpet near vent5 Upon departure, smell of marijuana from staff

I travel weekly for work and I’ve never experienced such a pleasant check in process 😊 The gentleman at the reception desk named Donald was so kind and efficient! There were three other people before I checked in and he treated everyone with the same respect and pleasantry! Everyone left in a good mood and that makes all the difference with a hotel stay! I really appreciate the effort he put in into making everyone’s check in so smooth It’s so very appreciated Also, the hotel was clean and I saw other employees working to sanitize and make the hotel look well kept

Great job!

Stephanie Goehler

When your here it feels like your home and everyone treats you like family Coffee bar always hot and fresh I can’t say enough about how nice everyone was The rooms are beautiful spacious and very clean The price was about average The have a grilling area, smoking area and a pool I believe I didn’t leave my room much I loved it The beds are like clouds We got a great night’s sleep Walking distance to great food

Rochelle Williams

The hotel is decent My room was clean and the bed was comfortable My only issues were with the toilet and the AC unit

The toilet was loose and loudly shifted every time I sat on it The AC unit didn’t get very cold I wasn’t sure if it was controlled by the thermostat on the wall or the one on the actual unit I turned both of them down The hotel is pet friendly and has plenty of poop stations to clean up after a pet The staff is friendly and the breakfast was good

Great stay at this location The staff was very friendly, helpful, and available The hotel is well kept and up to date

The room was large, clean, and had a nice view of the city and river The traffic was surprisingly very light to be on a downtown area The bar and restaurant was served good food and very cold beer The pasta was the best dish there IMO Overall great stay

Shaina Breedlove

This is my favorite hotel to stay in at Shreveport Great location and great service We did not use the valet and parked in the garage across the street, but the valet employees were nice

All the staff were friendly and helpful Loved that the pool and gym were on the top floor If you stay here, make sure you check out the views from the pool at sunset We did not eat dinner or breakfast at the restaurant, but we did go visit the bar to try some local beer The atmosphere at the bar was nice and the bartenders were great!

Kathryn Walters

Very nice hotel Clean! Workout room is on the top 12th floor with a neat view It has plenty of equipment

Also neat balcony area with a pool and tables Nice area to watch the sunsetUsed valet parking When I checked out they already had my vehicle ready for meEnjoyed the Bar restaurant for both breakfast and dinnerOnly reason it was not a 5 star is the sink I The bathroom was missing a plug Also my app did not work to open the door

Be advised to inspect your room!!! Checked in at 6pm and left to have dinner Upon return from the evening, roaches were found on top of desk and entertainment area Took photo and reported to management

Management showed no concerned and only offered us to move with small children to another room We have stayed at several Comfort Suites on this family vacation and this hotel has been the 1st to have bugs in the rooms Customer service should have been more concerned being apart of the Choice Hotels Chain

Everything was excellent We came here with our 3 young kids to enjoy splash Kingdom which is about 7 minutes away The customer service was great,Everything was clean and the knock on the door in the noon to make sure we didn’t need anything was great

Breakfast was good Everyone was so politethey also have an indoor pool which we got to try out, it was a nice experience Many restaurants near by

Karen Orozco

We arrived later than expected, one of the front desk people called to verify we were still going to stay the night, and allow the system to cancel our reservation, that was great When we arrived the lady at the front desk was on her cell phone while checking us in The room was spacious

Beds were firm Breakfast was good with hot eggs, sausage and waffles

Marcia Ratzloff

Needs updated! Borderline “clean and fresh” room (Room 204) The A/C only worked marginally in the King bed room Slept absolutely horrible between that and the very strange rumbling noise that loudly rumbled the entire night directly underneath us

sounding like a thunderstorm The water pressure was really poor, literally just a trickle at the sink, and the toilet “flap” had to be readjusted after flushing so the water would fill and it could flush next time We’ve avoided Comfort Inns the last while and this visit confirmed all over again that we would continue to avoid them! Definitely not work $170!!

I cannot say enough about this fabulous place! Such a thoughtful and clean hotel that I felt an overwhelming need to write a review! Loved every minute of our stay!! We really appreciated the breakfast, fabulous coffee and tea, and especially the chocolate chip cookies, popcorn and lemonade every night There are even board games available, which is super nice The staff was always kind and helpful in all of our interactions

Loved the location by all the restaurants and the horse track! The mornings were amazing watching the horses run! If I could give this place more stars I would! Thank you for making our stay wonderful 💛

Gregory Shepherd

The staff was very friendly and hospitable There were issues with the pool area Some of the lighting fixtures were barely attached and the light bulbs in these fixtures weren’t the same

Not something I would point out, other than it isn’t up to the high standards of other holiday inn express that I’ve stayed There was no snack bar in the lobby and only one drink and one snack machine on the first floor Hardly enough for a four story hotel On the bright side, the lobby and room were very clean and organized and the beds and linens were very comfortable The attendant working the breakfast area was definitely on top of things All the offerings for breakfast were fresh and well stocked Also The entire breakfast area was kept up nicely Only complaint there is no televisions You would think that during breakfast, some may want to watch the weather channel or local/national news It also would have been nice to have a couple of news papers like USA today and the local publication to read while eating breakfast A few small teaks and this location could really shine

K Lewis

Got into town late and went to several hotels, only to be told they had no available I was abt to give up but Thankfully they had a room available Gerald the front desk clerk was awesome

He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken good care of He even made my lil popcornNow mind you we checked in at 9:00pm The hotel was also clean and the breakfast was good as well I will be staying here again! Thank you Gerald for making me and my family stay awesome

Make the Choice to pick another Hotel Stayed here in 2019 & it was clean & reasonably priced Not anymore

We’ll never stay here again We were checked in to a $200 room that was clearly not cleaned – messy bed & underwear on the floor Gross The hall reeked of weed (“100% smoke-free hotel”) We got another room on a different floor with: a wayward toilet seat, clogged tub drain, no screen or stop in the sink, one bar of soap, a swirly looking film on “cleaned” surfaces, a grease stain on the bed cover, & a microwave that wasn’t plugged in because that was the only way it could be turned off Guests were noisy, inside and out, throughout the night The hot breakfast was decent for hotel fare Clearly, Choice Hotels can do better – I’m writing this from the Sleep Inn in Park City, north of Wichita, Kansas, and it’s exceptional on all counts It is brand new, the staff has a clue, and it’s only $125

The CCC Family

Had an amazing stay The staff was extraordinary Extremely friendly and helpful

The front desk clerk greeted us with the biggest and warmest smile She was courteous and made our check in a breeze The room exceeded our expectations Comfortable bed, plenty of towels, cable tv, and the air conditioner was perfect We will definitely stay here next time

Mary Elizabeth Preston

When we called, they said they only had a suite for $164 We needed a room so we took it The room smelled awful

They had tried to cover up the “sour” smell with some room deodorizer but it didn’t work It smelled like wet towels that had soured The other problem was the TV was hanging on a wall in a different room than the bed was in It was difficult to watch TV from the bed There was no hurry dryer and it was very old and in bad shape I don’t believe this was a suite because the bathroom was for handicapped people The bed was comfy but the price was way out of line No discounts for seniors or military That wasn’t good We only stayed there because my husband had a procedure at the hospital early the next day and it was the closest

When I arrived I was greeted very friendly which was nice The hotel seemed a little older but clean enough After checking in and getting to my room I found an old mask and a charger in the room

Come to find out it was one of the staffs things and they had failed to tell me that the room did not lock The next room they checked me into did not have a functioning thermostat Finally I got a room that seemed good enough (smelled) The tub was grimy and just overall not a clean feeling at this hotel Not up to Marriott standards and needs to be updated I will not be back

Amanda & staff was great❣️ Couldn’t ask for better friendlier people Unfortunately, they were having serious AC issue’s We were told of that when we checked-in

However, they rearranged everyone to accommodate the situation We tried to stay in our room but it was too hot 🔥🥵 They moved us downstairs and the AC 💯% worked like a charm❄️☃️ but, there was a lot of dark hair in the tub 🤢🤮 We didn’t bother reporting that until check-out because of the AC issue’s Overall, the staff was very very friendly and helpful 😊😎✌️

This is a value based branded property in a convenient locationThe rooms are enormous I had a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen

It was way to much space for me and could easily have accommodated 6 peopleThe parking lot is a little tight/smallThe staff was friendly and helpful

The place is not bad I will say, $350 for a weekend night is a bit ridiculous and completely not worth the priceThe room was a good size

The bed and pillows were comfortableThe minimum bet of the tables seemed a bit high There are way too many penny slotsThe store onsite is closed which was highly inconvenient Not all the restaurants are openIt is pretty close to the boardwalk shops which is nice You could walk to them if you wanted, but the parking lots are connected so I would recommend just driving overThey do have free valet parking but we could not find a valet when we needed to park so we ended up parking ourselves each timeIt is also pretty close to downtownOverall, given the weekend price, I’d say it’s not worth the price and would recommend staying elsewhere

Good food and drinks Machines didn’t pay out but that’s to be expected We ate the river view cafe inside Margaritaville

Very good food and a great price All the food was amazing and tasted great Service was fast and friendly The casino was nice but very crowded, which is to be expected for a Saturday night All in all we had a great time

The rooms were nice and big I absolutely enjoyed my view It was the best for a day time nap

The room was a bit dusty such as the picture frames and some of the lighting My shower had a glob of shampoo which tells me that it wasnt cleaned Otherwise it’s pretty well maintained The bed was super comfortable I didn’t try the pool but it looked really refreshing I was fun just to walk around and explore!

Decent hotel It’s definitely older but overall in good shape Good location right off the freeway but quiet and down the street from Walmart, gas stations, fast food, etc

Friendly staff Evening social was nice with burgers and beer Free Breakfast was good with biscuits, eggs, waffles, milk, orange juice Super hot water in the shower which is extremely rare at a hotel so that was a plus As stated above the hotel is showing some signs of age; it sounded like my ceiling fan was going to detach from the ceiling at any given moment My TV remote control battery compartment had been sealed with aluminum foil Small stained tub No daily housekeeping or towels unless you request Plenty of parking and the hotel itself seemed secure All things considered I would stay again

Great stay! Becoming a royal fan of Homewood Suite by Hilton Had excellent hot breakfast that is above the average hot breakfast from elsewhere Scrambles, omelets, hash browns, sausage patties, Chobani yogurts, and many many more! Spacious lobby, decent room and amenities

Most of the staffs were understanding and nice but some were sub-exceptional But that’s okay It can get little noisy with many families with children Well, my child was a bit loud, sorry bout that

Great customer service !Terry at the front desk was amazing He over exceeded my expectations I had to cancel my reservation and get a new one because of Hilton Points but he helped all the way through, while having the 1-800 Hilton

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars it was the living room couches were stained 😟Not a very good thing for this type of hotel However, everything else was good Clean towels, clean beds and okay bathroom

The room was dated and smelled of cigarettes, even the bellman made a comment as he was helping us into the room At 4:30am when we were leaving, we went to the front desk to ask for a cart but had to wave down the staff who were all sitting in the back on their phones When asked about a cart for us to use, the response was, “last nights guests didn’t bring them back, so we don’t know where the carts are

You should wait until 7am for the bellmen to come in” Not following ADA guidelines at this hotel is disappointing Deborah at the front desk was nice when we checked in Other than that, the room itself was nothing spectacular

This hotel was great!!! We were upgraded to a king suite and it was an amazing room! No smoking at all! This hotel has newer games and we always look for Lots of older people here and we loved it! 3 floors and they had high Ceilings and didn’t feel tight really nice atmosphere! Great place to stay and play! Cornell the bell man was like talking to family and he made us feel so welcome and gave us great advice on places to eat and things to do But everything you need is at the hotel!

Went to the lounge inside the casino It was very clean and a nice set up They had a DJ that played great dance music covering many decades of music

Bartender was very attentive and drinks were good with fast service Prices were very reasonable Only negative I have is that the bar did not carry my go to on bourbon, Four Roses, but settled with a Jameson All in all a nice place to go for music and drinks
