This is an excellent hotel and we really enjoyed our stay Check-in was smooth and the front desk person was very friendly The room was clean and well maintained

We had an opportunity to enjoy the pool area which was also clean and had adequate towels The breakfast had extensive options including breakfast sandwiches and burritos, egg and cheese omelettes, and a variety of other things I would certainly recommend this location and can easily say that it was one of the best locations we’ve stayed at

I blocked several rooms at the Manassas location for a wedding When I stopped by the hotel, the GM ( Shirley) was very nice and helpful Her follow through was excellent

The staff was friendly and all our guest really enjoyed the hotel I left gift bags for the guest which the front desk staff graciously passed out I would definitely recommend this hotel and use them again if needed

Will not stay here again Not up to Marriott standards and not well kept AC in room had trouble keeping up

The hallway and room smelled like curry or some other strong smell, it was so strong that it was giving us a headache After speaking with the front desk they did set an odor bomb in the room which took care of the smell, this should have been done prior to our arrival as it was extremely noticeable Getting late check out was a hassle and not in alignment with Marriott standards Shout out to the breakfast attendant that was extremely attentive and genuinely friendly, she made the stay a lot more enjoyable

Recently just spent one short night at this location Following two delayed flights, we finally arrived at nearly 3 AM, but were greeted by a kind gentleman at the front counter who greeted us by our names, being IHG members and obviously the final check-in of the evening Definitely made us feel welcome and we are appreciative of that after a long night

We are given our room and it was nice and clean, only downfall is that it smelled very musty Although bed was comfortable and breakfast was great Would definitely return to this location again

This hotel was exceptional for our room block and rehearsal dinner for our wedding- Logistics: It has a continuous shuttle to/from the airport every 30 minutes that reliably transported 40 guests It was the furthest north-east Marriott we could find that had a continuous shuttle instead of an on-call shuttle

– Suites: Many of our guests told us after how much they loved their suites They were large but also reasonably priced- Event support: The space and service for our rehearsal dinner were great, and the hospitality suite conference room accommodated preparation for 9 bridal party members with 4 hair and makeup artists- Staff: The staff, especially Phillip, went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, concerns, and last minute changes

While this hotel is the nice one in the area you can tell it is in dire need of updates From a leaking roof to the fitness center itā€™s a old hotel The breakfast which is $20 is robbery as itā€™s subpar food

In fact I believe free hotel breakfast at places like the holiday inn top the breakfast here Dinner is priced fine and tastes good The servers during breakfast are very niceThe gym is in dire need of updates and a working AC system It gets so incredibly hot and humid in there and adjusting the thermostat doesnā€™t seem to change anything Pool was closed , not sure if this is for good or notI seem to never be able to get anyone to bring towels I called three times one day, 30+ min apart and no one ever came up Likewise for wipes in the gym Have to always go grab them your selfParking is free and easyThe room is large and nice though showing itā€™s age with the TVs

Danielle Caneva

The location was great There is whatever you need pretty much within the shopping center so you don’t even need to walk anywhere Plenty of parking

Joy at the front desk was an absolute delight She was so friendly and helpful the entire time that I would go back to stay there just because of her Great customer service is hard to come by nowadays and she is the best!

I stayed at two extended stays one was when I got off the plane on the morning of the 9th I knew there was more than one and I asked the guy to see if I was staying at that location and he said he was in bed and wasn’t by the desk I took the chance and went there anyways luckily I had the right one Now the Extended Stay that I stayed at last 5 days ago was the best I have ever experienced with extended stay

The room was very inviting it smelt so clean the last one did not This one had a dryer for my hair so I didn’t have to get mine out I loved having a stove a refrigerator and two desks When I leave to go back to my destination I will definitely get a room there again The only bad thing was the people that hung outside which looked homeless and my husband said there was one sleeping in the stairwell But I did not experience that at all

Ari Yiannoulis

friendly staff not sure if it was billy or bobby up front out of coffee and immediately got fresh hot pots

the little cute girl was very cordial as well! breakfast was lacking a bit with just some coffee and some package things but I wasn’t expecting too much it’s a 80$ a room night kind of place but for the area they’re getting another 20/30$ close to everything so it was convenient should put a garbage by the bench area where everyone drinks and smokes and a astray I’d stay again if I needed a cheaper decent room

Alexis M

Literally did not feel safe staying here Multiple men were just sitting in their cars in the parking lot and stared at me until I got out of my car They waited until I got out of my car and followed me in

Once I got inside, it didnā€™t feel much safer I got to the floor my room was on and another man who appeared to be going towards the elevator, turned around and started following me towards my room and pretending to be on the phone I walked passed my room and got to the end of the hall and he was still there Followed me all the way back to the elevator Extremely shady place and I would not recommend any women stay here Does not feel safe When I told the man at the front desk I couldnā€™t stay because I didnā€™t feel safe, he didnā€™t even ask any questions to figure out what was going on, he just told me I would have to cancel online

My family was first put into a disgusting room on the first floor As soon as i walked in you could see that the floor was not vacuumed or cleaned Then as you walk further into the room you can see that there are dead bugs on tables, in the fridge and i found a piece of glass on the floor

No one cleaned it after the previous guests Then we requested another room and they did not have anymore double rooms so my family had to split up As soon as i walked in the room you could tell people before had smoked a lot even though it was a no smoking room This room wasnā€™t as terrible as the last one but the toilet had not been cleaned, there was still soap in the shower from previous visitors, the toilet would not flush, so the room was still disgusting but not as disgusting as the first one However, the other single room absolutely reeked of smoke 10x worse than the one i stayed in while also being a no smoking room Overall, i felt unsafe here, the door wouldnā€™t even close all the way and it was so unsanitary we had to shorten our 2 week stay to one night There was no way my family was going to stay here for 2 weeks Please get a new cleaning team This was definitely the worst hotel Iā€™ve been to and that is saying a lot considering Iā€™ve traveled to multiple countries

Rodrigo Anzures

Had to check in past 11pm because of a flight delay, and when I arrived and followed the instructions outside for late checkout a very groggy and unhappy employee who looked like he barely knew how to use the check in system took a while to attend me and get me sortedOnce done, I went to my hotel room and noticed the extremely dirty hallways and general exterior of the hotel Cigarette butts everywhere, weird liquids spilled in all directions, both fresh and old gum, and stench that I could not begin to describe

The hotel room was not much better I inspected the rug and it was extremely dirty, full of old grime, stains and dirt The furniture was dusty, and the sheets, while thankfully clean were stained with both yellowish and black spotsThe next morning I received angry knocks at 10:45am telling me I had to leave because check out time was at 11am I told them I had seen it was at 12:00pm in the website and lobby, but they insisted I started packing my things and I received another set of angry knocks, even louder than those previous, from another employee telling me I had to leave until being told when I had opened the door that I already had been informedJust some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experiencedI would never stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone to do so

kasie curtis

Stayed here due to a cancelled flight Absolutely the worst hotel Iā€™ve ever stayed in The property and the room was Incredibly dirty

Everything smelled of garbage and pot We didnā€™t even shower because the shower was dirtier than we were There was fecal splatter on the toilet Bugs flying all over the room Would have left except it was 2 am and there was no other rooms available close to the airport We would have been better off sleeping in the airport

This location was a let down The proximity to Dulles airport and restaurants/shopping was great, but the actual building and room were not greatIt says it’s a non-smoking hotel, but the common areas had a definite stench – luckily this didn’t extend into our room

They don’t keep extra bedding of any kind in the room, and when I called about it, they told me to come down and get it myself (not an awesome experience late at night after driving all day) Why not ask people (a party of 3 with only one bed in the room) if we need bedding for the pull out when we check in?The shower worked well and the kitchen was stocked, but everything was in the dishwasher and the toilet was semi-cloggedThe room was cold when we got in, which was awesome, but the pass through fan that was supposed to take the air from the family room through to the bedroom was busted, so it was crazy hot at nightOverall, I wouldn’t bother staying here again where there are tons of other options in the area

Peter Sherwin

We needed to spend 4 nights in a hotel due to our friends, who we travelled from the UK to visit, had come down with Covid-19 and we could not stay with them We had just a single day’s notice to book a hotel, and I wish we had booked elsewhere This hotel has zero amenities, apart from free laundry

It is close to Dulles, though There isn’t a restaurant or place to grab food/drinks within a mile of this hotel, so if you are staying here you need to plan ahead There is also a strange mix of guests staying hereit appears people are living here full time (some of whom have pets)Upon entering the hotel it is obvious that it has not been updated for many decades All surfaces are in need of attentionthe floors, the walls, the decor – all of it is dingy and dirty looking, and you are hit with strange smells as you walk around this hotelThe lift (elevator) is necessary to reach our room, and it is old & beat up The door has a large scrape across it that doesn’t make me feel that safe, and the flooring is gross So dirtyThe room we were in, 303, is a large suite It has a small kitchen, a living room type area with a sofa & TV, and there is a bedroom with a large beda queen sized mattress I think The room is just as dingy as the entry to the hotel The carpet looks so awful that we don’t remove our socks, and like the rest of the hotel the rooms needs an update The sofa & reclining chair are standoutsthey are the most uncomfortable sofa/recliner I have ever sat on The air conditioning works really well in the main part of the hotel room, but there isn’t a vent in the bedroom so it is hot in there Even keeping the door open doesn’t helpWhile our stay was fine, I did not enjoy the hotel and will never again use a CandleWood Suites Hotel – unless I can verify the condition of the hotel beforehandIHG hotels, of which the InterContinental group belongs, owns this property and you would think they would have spent some money modernising their property portfolio This hotel wouldn’t be too bad if it were given a makeover As it is, there are much cleaner & nicer hotels that have amenities, restaurants & bars nearby or even in the hotel for similar money You can do better

This was a decent hotel The 2 bedroom suites are cool and have full kitchens with dishes and utensilsThey had a face towel shortage so you had to keep asking for face towels

Our refrigerator didn’t make ice but some if them did The guy that works the bar and cooks is AMAZING! The other employees were nice and accommodating They allowed us a late checkout which was really nice and an early check in

Kimberly Humphries

From the time we walked through the doors on Friday we were greeted by two nice gentleman They explained everything about the hotel which was very helpful The property is really clean and dog friendly

The staff was excellent and the breakfast was very delicious and fulfilling The hotel takes all necessary steps in making sure everything is sanitized They have hand sanitizer all around We visited the gym which was also clean and they provided wipes for you to wipe down the machines before and after The pool was not open yet but the grounds outside were clean They have a grill and basketball court and a area to eat and enjoy the sun I met the food manager who was really nice and very excited about bringing great things to the community Ben was my bar tender for 2 days He has an amazing spirit and shared beautiful stories about his family and mainly his dad This hotel offered everything even washer and dryer in the building so you donā€™t have to take home dirty laundry Really nice location and the restaurant in the community are great However I had a salad and wings at the bar at the hotel which was cool I am a Washingtonian but this was a weekend getaway for me I might say this was the best hotel suite Iā€™ve stayed at it has everything inside the rooms and very spacious We had a 2 bedroom suite roommate style and the room was soundproof and cozy I really enjoyed my weekend and I will visit again and again

This hotel is definitely worth another stay and yet another stay every time that we are in town The hotel staff was very nice and polite and very helpful The room as well as the whole hotel was very cleanā€¦

The pool area and the gym was the same as well as the gym had a good variety of things to do I see the hotel is dog friendly so if we ever get a chance to bring our dog with us it seems like thereā€™s plenty of areas to take them as well as having receptacles for dog waste All in all I get is this hotel five stars and a bravo on all that they have and do

Joe Bullen

Be sure to ask for a room far away from the ongoing remodelingā€¦Apparently this is the last of the IHG hotels to have comfortable beds Hopefully, the conglomerate doesnā€™t change out the plush mattresses at Candlewood for cheap ones like they are doing with Holiday Inn Express

I got a $100 room on a Sunday night This price was a bargain considering that, in return, I received a full kitchen, full bath, and a king-sized bed My first floor bedroom also boasted a 12 foot ceiling! Having a noon checkout time was an added bonusThe roomā€™s door does a horrible job with soundproofing My sleep was continually interrupted with noise from the hallway and the construction

Cindy S

Passing through during a long trip The location is convenient to the highway but far enough away to be quiet The room smelt nice but, outside airpollution was noticeable when I was outside

The road was under construction during my stay so, I drove 2 miles to Brownville park to take a sunset walk on the nice wide trailI liked the hotel Receptionist was nice Looks as if the 1st floor rooms were being renovated My room was on 2nd floor Overall clean room, decent kitchen, comfortable bed, nice bathroom A/C worked well The gross recliner definitely needs to be replaced But, I didnt have high expectations due to the $108 rate for 1 night weekday stay

The beds were very comfortable Everything would have been fine but the shower floor was completely unacceptable It was very dirty and looked like it hadnā€™t been cleaned

We did not feel comfortable being barefoot in the shower at all Also there is a dispenser in the shower for just shampoo That should be body wash/shower gel I can guarantee every visitor would value a body wash dispenser in the shower over shampoo

Keith Ross Sr

Didn’t stay there, went to visit someone who was staying there Beautiful place , but they need to have Porter working nights to keep the lobby clean I was in the lobby with my wife & our friends playing cards & the lobby was dirty

I do inspections for a large hospital, but we are going to try it My friend & his wife said that the room was great

Wayne Eddie

Seems to be a really clean hotel The room is well designed with a mini kitchen and fridgeBut a car is needed to go to anywhere

The hotel has a shuttle bus parked in the lot, but I am not sure whether if it takes guests to places

Great location less than a 10 minute drive from Dulles Airport with nearby cinema and good places to eat The staff was welcoming and responsive Rooms are clean, spacious, and well-appointed

The exercise room was decent Their complimentary breakfast was delicious (hot, customized food as well as the continental breakfast type options)

Sasha Whitley

Stayed here for proximity to the airport and the shuttle service TOO BAD the shuttle doesnā€™t run on weekends The shuttle schedule isnā€™t even on the website

Happy hour is fine, but no food options besides chips The breakfast here is good Bathroom sink and tub didnā€™t drain Rooms are very dark and damp Probably wouldnā€™t stay at this location again

Amy Brewer

The hot tub has been down over one month And the happy hour is just tortilla chips and grapes; no variety, cheap spread Very disappointed and will amend this review barring the owner/ GM decides to pursue fixing the hot tub asap and to spend an extra $50 for a few more snacks

This is the reason why people choose embassy suites: happy hour and a decent resource for relaxation

Great place for a long stay Affordable, good rooms and the hotel works like a small apartmentTheir is no room service, and all additional things are given on the front desk

But overall, this hotel is like living in a small apartment Built in kitchen, laundry service everything necessary for a long stay Good place

the wifi internet is the WORST I have ever used period even on the “enhanced plan” i got CONSTANT disconnects

having to often babysit downloads, i had to put up with this for THREE MONTHS when i went to the front desk to ask for help they said it was all done through a phone number and i have a speach issue so i could not callhousekeeping is TERRIBLE whowever was in charge of my room cleaned it like the first two weeks, then it went downhill hasnt been fully cleaned in like a MONTH i gave up bothering to try the hotel has posters that says about a 10 point cleaning systemyeah rightthey dont even mop the floors long story short if you got the money go someplace else and for a hotel that kept PUSHING me to leave five star reviews on the internetmight do a better job of actually making your guests happy eh? Would not want to really stay here again

My Son and I came To Candlewood suites to visit his only daughter/ my granddaughter And when I tell you the room was played out !It was played out from a fully furnished kitchen With a big refrigerator a big microwave a big dishwasher full of clean dishes and utensils

and a bit stovetop range The beds were made up so beautiful in white fluffy linen and the bathroom was fully stocked with pretty fluffy white wash clothes and medium hand towels and large bath towelsa nice huge mirror on the wall and fancy shampoo- conditioner-shower geland the water coming from the faucet was very very clear! I was very comfortable staying here I RECOMMEND CANDLEWOOD SUITES TO ALL PEOPLE (MICHAEL WATTS JR)/ (MOTHER -LISA HILL) THANK YOU VERY MUCH CANDLEWOOD SUITES WASHINGTON,DC

When the reservation was made the ground floor was requested due to handicap I understand that sometimes the ground floor is not available, however it wasnā€™t necessary to put us on the top floor as far from the front desk as possible Also, requested a suite with a king bed

Was given a regular room with only a double bed Staff was not friendly and them saying it was recently updated is an out right lie The elevator is never clean nor are the rooms The carpet is ripped by the elevator No housekeeping could be found on the top floor at time during the day Will NEVER stay here again The one star is for two reasons, 1 Because I had to put one to write this review and 2 It is located near shops Otherwise it is one of the worst places weā€™ve stayed and my husbands job has us at hotels Monday through Friday every week

This Homewood Suites is nice and quiet The hotel is connected to the Embassy Suites, another Hilton hotel that’s a bit more fancy They share staff and some resources, which isn’t a bad thing

There are plenty of carts to move luggage in The staff offers to explain the amenities so that guests are well informed Our elevator broke down during our stay and they fixed it within 12 hours The rooms have a safe in the closet for valuables There is both an indoor and outdoor pool They have a workout room The rooms have full kitchens There is a shower but no bath tub, fyi The linens are great and the cleaning staff is excellent and timely They have the typical free breakfast, and they have a social hour time from 5-7pm during the week where they have free snacks like crackers, cheese, veggies, and 2 free alcoholic drinks for adults Overall highly recommend this hotel There are about 7 restaurants next door in a plaza that you can walk to One downside is it costs 7$ a night for parking

Love staying here This was my 3rd time, but have been booking through a 3rd party so not getting any credit or points (I’ll have to change next time) I did have 1 slight problem with check in, but again going through a 3rd party didn’t help But overall enjoyed my stay and will go back

Although not a fan of the overnight parking fee

If I could give zero stars I would It started off horrible as they double booked rooms and didn’t have our king size bed suite available, even though we booked it in advance So they had to give us a 2 bed suite, which isn’t ideal for an anniversary getaway and weren’t apologetic about it at all and didn’t discount the stay

We had a dinner reservation we had to make or we would have left and found another hotel In the room, the sink was clogged and draining slow, there was a stain on the toilet seat and floor tile in the bathroom, the closet door was broken and hard to open and a towel had a brown stain on it The reception desk doesn’t answer if called from the room, so that wasn’t helpful The buffet breakfast the next day was typical horrible hotel food, so that didn’t even help the situationAll around if you want to go there for an anniversary weekend get away, I would recommend going elsewhere

Nice rooms Generally quiet Not much within walking distance, but as long as you have a car there are lots of dining choices

This is a Residence Inn, so the room has a fridge and stove, large TV Rooms are only made up once a week or at your request, which is fine for me

5 stars for the awesome front desk team, cleaning and maintenance department during my stay from April 17-July 151 star for the current general manager I would like to suggest that the new general manager (I forgot her name) should be sent for more training on customer care service

In May 2022, my important package was misplaced and I didnā€™t get to use it for its purpose I got compensated by a room upgrade from a studio to a 1 bedroom unit and I was very pleased This was handled by the previous manager and the current manager was on training thenIn July 15, 2022 after working 6 consecutive night shifts, I discovered mold in cabinets, tables, chairs and floor in the living room/kitchen area I called the front desk and made them aware Cleaning service came later on That cleaning lady then escalated the problem and maintenance came right after These two departments were exceptional and was willing to help and offered to change my furniture and to clean the carpet I was very happy about itAfter sometime, the manager came and inspected the room Thatā€™s when I started having a problem with her Take note that cleaning service at least do come once a week to clean my room but the manager had the nerve to say things such as ā€œoh itā€™s been here for awhileā€, ā€œyou didnā€™t notice it at all?ā€, ā€œYou smell it and youā€™d feel like itā€™s muggyā€, and she just proceeded on saying that I canā€™t stay in the room and sheā€™ll transfer me to another room in authoritative manner I made her aware that I am only interested to be transferred to the same room category She insisted that I am only entitled for a studio because of their contract with my company I know I have few coworkers that are in 1 br from the start so what she is saying doesnā€™t make sense She also added in saying that I was only upgraded due to my ā€œlittle package inconvenienceā€ I wonder what is the significance to that and how can she label that it was a ā€œlittleā€ inconvenience? It was a big deal for me if she must know No apologies or sympathetic attitude shown at allThis was my home away from home When Iā€™m working, I go straight to the shower and bed then work again I care less about switching on the lights and inspect my room for any issue I may noticeShe charged my company for the whole day when it should just be free or a fee for late checkout due to my Titanum Elite statusUnfortunately, I had to transfer hotel after this encounter I had choices from the beginning but this branch manager donā€™t value loyalty
