This is not a bad motel I am here through the interfaith homeless shelter program The motel itself is not bad at all

The only reason I am giving it a two-star only is because some of the employees at the front desk are very rude and condescending One is so passive aggressive sometimes I just want to slap her But being the person I am I just grin and bear it It’s sad that people see themselves so above those of us that have unfortunate circumstances to deal with Sometimes I just want to say to any of the employees that have a bad attitude that you know there are plenty of jobs out there if you don’t like your job and if you can’t do your job as a representation of a good hotel chain, go get another job

I wasn’t staying in the hotel There was a close personal friend who was staying there He said nice clean place

Unfortunately for a person who stays there there lack of clothes washers and dryers was troubling They had one of each at this hotel and because of my nephew’s worked at a another Dayton Ohio area Hampton inn those too had one set of clothes washers and dryers at the 2 Hampton inn locations also Which if a person that came to town without a car rental would be saddled with finding a laundry mat to sustain a clean clothes status

Stayed here with family and I really love the rustic feel and modern amenities Unfortunately, there are several mice Within less than 24hours we caught three and saw a fourth

The location is more rural so maybe people expect this but I did not, and certainly not so many This is my second time here – first time we also saw a mouse but thought we’d give it a second try I probably won’t stay again…I just can’t sleep knowing there are mice running around inside, but otherwise the place is nice Hopefully something can be done to address the rodent issue

unique as the mill with a 200# lid and a repurposed corn roaster (that weighs in at a hefty 700 pounds)   The B&B has 3 rooms, all with private baths  Two rooms with a queen bed are located upstairs along with a community sitting area equipped with a television and DVD player

Downstairs is an open layout with a kitchen, eating area, island and cozy sitting area by the fireplace  Also located on the first floor is a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a private bathThe property would make for a great family retreat or family reunion location  Bring the kids and let them sleep on the floor if needed! Randy did inform us that scout troops come to spend the night at the mill and camp on the large grounds just to the back of the millThe Mill offers tours on the weekend  Take advantage of this landmark  I’m not much of a history buff, but this was a fantastic experience  Sometime, just for one night, stay at the Mill  It’s peaceful and quiet and would be a great experience for your kids  There is a fantastic covered bridge just down the way which is another adventure

I stayed here for a night and it was fine Not the best Residence Inn I’ve stayed and not the worst The sheets were scratchy (I had read this in a prior review and I wasn’t sure what that meant, but now I get it!) It’s an older hotel and could definitely use some updating and the carpets in the hallway in the stairway had some crumbs and could use some cleaning

The front desk staff was pleasant I was bummed they put me on the top floor even though I had requested a low floor I guess the hotel was sold out that night, so I get itWould’ve been five stars had the room and hallway been a bit cleaner and sheets a bit softer

Megan Arnold

The room is very nice I like the full kitchen and open area for the dining table I wasn’t impressed with the “cleaning”

When we showed up there was hair on the bathtub side and bottom The breakfast was the nicest variety I have seen, they even had gluten free muffins The pool is small but enough for the kids to play for a little while before getting bored But the location is right in front of a huge mall which we walked to numerous times There are tons of other stores minutes from this location if you needed anything (walmart, food etc) it’s real close We will be back

Place needs some TLC Did not feel like a Marriott experience Many areas dimly lit

Many plug-in air fresheners used to stabilize common areas Guest Room needs a good detail cleaning Housekeeping was not available & hope this will change soon Nice recycle bin in room but didn’t see the same outdoors This is my 1st 2 star rating ever about a Marriott Hotel Over priced for being two stars

This was a great place to stay! Ron is so friendly and nice and makes a great breakfast The house is so cool and the decor is true to the time period There are so many neat little things that make it special

There is a fridge in every room as well as a bathroom The area is beautiful as is the house Ron the owner was also very accommodating and super nice I would stay here again anytime!

Rebecca Sinopoli

We received above and beyond service from the staff at Emma’s! We had to get back early for a conference and they prepared our breakfast early and accommodated my special menu requests and if that isn’t enough, they even delivered us back to our car that was left at the venue from the night before! All this for the customary tip Our beds were very comfortable too Highly recommend

Kim Maloy

We rented the entire house for a leadership planning retreat, and a retreat it was The weather was perfect so we utilized the back deck for our meetings The owner, Ron, is a joy to talk with and truly cares about his guests

We had a few specific requests for our meeting times and Ron was more than accommodating The rooms are huge, clean, inviting, and very comfortable Breakfast each morning was excellent The house still contains all of its original charm, with some modern amenities I absolutely recommend it

Receptionist was friendly and tried to be helpful However, for over $200 a night, I expected better No shampoo/lotion in room

No functioning ice machine on 4th floor (broken), soda machine on floor sold out TV remote was missing Got a replacement but it still didn’t work so we had no functioning television during our stay Come on Marriott You can and should do better Your quality is slipping

Jeff Griffin

A Marriott in name only Quality was lacking Went to front desk in the morning after our first night to ask for certain deficiencies to be fixed (bathroom door wouldn’t lock, thermostat not working, bathroom outlet not working, very slow bathroom drain)

Manager Pamela didn’t take any notes, or apologize, or address any of our issues She didn’t seem to care in the slightest Breakfast was gross Pool seemed polluted (and very cold) Ick You should keep looking

Ola Faye

Not sure if this happens all the time, I stayed here for four nights and I did not get any good sleep for those four nightsNights was noisy with people playing loud music Yelling all into the nights/ morning

I called front desk to help control the noise It stopped but next night it was the same all over I just gave upBreakfast is just breakfast nothing to write about it Good customer service

Clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and pet friendly hotel in a decent feeling part of downtown I would stay here againDetailed Review:We chose this hotel because it was dog friendly and we were traveling with our husky

We stayed three nights and it was overall a good experience There is a long strip of grass that is shaded for walking the dog It’s just a short walk across the parking lot There’s quite a bit of dog waste though, which is sad I bring bags and clean up after mine Perhaps if the hotel provided a clean-up station people would be more responsible I feel any pet-friendly hotel should do that to help encourage clean-upWe were on the third floor and it was very quiet I never heard anyone else except for nearby doors closing Of course, we had the air conditioner and fan on all the time, so there was lots of gray noise There are railroad tracks close by so you will hear trains go by if you’re on that side (which we were) but they weren’t bothersome to usThe hotel and room were all very clean and appear to have been recently renovated and modernized No strong scents (good or bad) Everything in the room worked fine TV is large, and you can log into your Netflix account and stream if you want to TV is super slow to react to pushing buttons on the remote, but I find that is common in hotels Lots of outlets including USB so you can charge all your devicesIn the shower they provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in pump bottles attached to the shower wall That’s a great way to do it, less waste and you actually have enough product to use It has a very gender-neutral scent and my husband and I both used it I usually don’t like hotel provided toiletries but these weren’t bad Water pressure in the shower was decent, and plenty of hot waterBed was comfortable, a medium firm and soft Couldn’t have been too old, it wasn’t sagging or anything Linens were clean and comfortable Towels were plush and soft Large vanity in the bathroom with full mirrorWe had a king bed and a loveseat with ottoman, which was nice to have There was also a desk and chair and a mini fridge Plenty of space for two adults and a dog There is a coffee maker and coffee (which is only okay) I’d suggest bringing jugs of drinking water because the tap water is absolutely horrible tasting Makes the coffee taste awful too I have tap water at home and it’s not anywhere near that badStaff are pleasant and friendly Everyone we ran into seemed to love dogs, tooAll rooms are interior entry, and some have balconies There are stairs that exit to the side of the building, and we used those with the dog sometimes because she was afraid of the elevator The grounds are well kept and they have lovely gardens and flowers all around which makes it feel nice Parking lot was recently re-surfaced and is in excellent conditionWe did not eat or drink at the attached restaurant, and dogs aren’t allowed in there There are several places to get food and adult beverages within walking distance There are even more options within a short driveThis is a pricey hotel but the quality seems to reflect what they charge I would certainly pick this place again with our dog

I can’t begin to say enough about this place The stay was awesome along with the staff You would and will be hard pressed to beat the owner’s hard work and ethics

And she served our country also !! Thanks for your serviceHard working staff and great food Give this all a try not just a normal stay If at all possible converse with the owner she a great lady We certainly would stop here again

Hungarian Gypsy

Thank the gods for horses and buffalo traces… which lead two motorcyclists, in search of historic places to Simon Kenton Inn A memorable experience indeed… dont take my word for it… experience the charm and history for yourself It is certainly on my list of return places during our travels

Theresa is a wonderful human being that will make certain you are taken care of

Jasmine Sciamanna

Is there a way to give more than 5 stars? This place is awesome! The new owner, Theresa has really made this place great I did not see her stop moving during the 5 days that we stayed here, as she tended to the recently added Suites, Venue space, and Treehouse Suites! The property itself is wonderful, surrounded in trees and fields, this is a great place to get a touch of the wilderness, without giving up the luxuries and still being very close to town We stayed in the regular suite the first night, which was a comfortable room with a jacuzzi tub

Then, we stayed for a few nights in the treehouses and OMG it was fantastic! Walking up to the private balcony was cool enough, then we went in to ALL WOOD! It was a very cozy spot, and still had a private bath and kitchenette We spent our nights enjoying wine and pickings out on the balcony while looking over a field I don’t use the term a lot, but it was magical My man and I have been talking about it since we returned months ago! They also have a really nice tavern/restaurant and big venue spot for weddings, corporate events, etc I highly recommend going if you live or are traveling around Springfield!

Great location and very clean room The staff was friendly and helpful as well The reason it is not 5 stars is because each morning they ran out of hot breakfast items by the time we got to breakfast which was still an hour from breakfast closing

In addition, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken and the elevator had an unpleasant pungent odor The cold breakfast selection was decent, but if the hotel advertises a warm breakfast, they should make enough for all of the guests

Katie L.

A friendly notice There is HOT BREAKFAST but you have to know who to ask to get it They keep it behind the counter, indicated with a little sign atop a food container

It will list your breakfast options and then you just ask the person at the desk to get you some Sometimes the option really sucks and other times it’s good I’m a contract worker and spend significant times outdoors working If you NEED a good breakfast like me to last you the day, I’d honestly just stay somewhere else unless you intend to make it yourself in the morning They are suite style rooms, so you certainly could given the mini kitchenette you have in your room Other than that, I still prefer the Home2 over the other Hilton options in the area For the space and comfort I feel, I think it ends up being worth it The Hampton Inn has great breakfast, however it’s a bit outdated Then the Tru is certainly nice but you get reduced amount of points for stays If you stay with Hilton to get points, then that could matter

Kerstin N.

Honestly one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had, and I’m pretty particular about hotels Quiet stay, big well-lot parking lot, free breakfast, lots of seating and space to spread out in the breakfast/lobby area The hotel suite itself was spacious and clean, and it seemed fairly new

I appreciated the use of reusable mugs/plates/bowls in the lobby to cut down on waste The workout room and pool were more open and inviting than most hotels I’ve come across We had a short stay but this would be a great spot for longer stays too

Booked for a quick get away and loved the beautifully refurbished downtown inn We had no idea what to expect and it surpassed all our expectations, the room was amazing, in fact it was more like a suite Large antique furniture that would never fit in our house was perfect, the oversized king bed and large pillows made reading a book so comfortable

The small deck out side our door shaded by large trees made for a peaceful and relaxing start to our dayThe enclosed front porch with tables and chairs was perfect to enjoy a coffee from the self serve “stocked pantry” and watch the town come to life

Brandi Ashcraft

Very nice place to stay Very quiet and large rooms There is a decent size mini fridge in room

Comfortable beds! There are individual thermostats in each room Only downsides we found was there were no dressers, nowhere to put anything in the shower (ie caddy or shelves) and there wasn’t much room/any vanity space in the bathroom to put anything We stayed in room 100 which is one of their smaller rooms (but still quite big for a small room) Definitely recommend if you are staying in the area

Clinton Manley

Adorable, clean, and so friendly! We were visiting for a large wedding and our large family booked out most of the rooms Rich (the owner) was incredibly hospitable and accommodating We were traveling with a baby and he provided a last minute pack and play for us

The rooms were all very handsome and clean Overall, a lovely stay and we would 100% choose to stay again!

This was an awesome place to stay Loved all the staff at this establishment Absolutely loved the hostess that served breakfast every morning

She was so kind, friendly, hard worker, and so much more All the Marriotts should have a hostess like this Awesome Woman The rooms were absolutely awesome Cannot complain about anything

When I arrived there was no one at the front desk I waited about 5 minutes and walked around, used the restroom and came back to the front deskStill, no one there except another customer now

Imanother 5 minutes go by and finally a woman comes to the front, ignored the customers standing there and proceeded to take a phone call and assist the person on the phoneCustomer service—- NOT greatWhen she did help, it was weird as she was kind of friendly and slightly apologetic for the time wasted but still went about other things before helping us Strangest check in ever!Room is fine It’s cold with nothing on the hard floors Part of me appreciates this as you can clearly see if it’s clean or not 7 out of 10 for cleanliness for me It does make it colder and less friendly but also imagine all the funky junk your feet aren’t touching?I slept, I woke and had breakfast It was not worth hanging around for as there was no attendant so god knows how long the warm food- eggs and ham and eggs and sausage- had been sitting there Stale breads to put in one little toaster Yogurt and hard boiled eggs…This hotel has a lot of work- mostly staffing (as -is the times) to get up to standard I deliver for Amazon flex for extra money and occasionally get a hotel in the area since this is close to the warehouse and I live 25 miles away I will be doing this again but NOT here I am so mad that I left stuff in the room when I worked from 4am-8 as I drove all the way back up to grab a bag of clothes and a subpar breakfastFor time- the worst part of the experience is no customer service… or less then Marriott standards IMO

I can’t say enough about how great my stay was! I haven’t slept this great in years!!! Bed was beyond comfortable and no noise! (I stayed in one of the king suites) the room was very clean

My wish list for the future? ATM, larger pillows, restraunt and bar But this was in no means a deal breaker!!! I would definitely stay here again! Thank you to all the staff that went above and beyond!!! Thank you Shy!!!!🤩

If you’re in need of a hotel in Springfield Ohio, Country Inn & Suites is the best place to to stay! The entire hotel was extremely clean from the exterior, entranceways and hallways Our room was very nice too Spacious, great water pressure in shower and most importantly, a nice comfortable mattress!!!Breakfast was awesome! Tony made nice fluffy eggs and crispy bacon

Stephanie and Terah at the front desk were super friendly and offered me bottled water for our long trip aheadThe ONLY con regarding this hotel is that they really need a lit sign near the main street We couldn’t locate the entrance at nightHappy Trails!

I book a room for my sister’s honeymoon Paid for in advance online They refused to allow my sister the room even though I put her name on the room

They made me come down and show proof of ID and I had to give another credit card that they charge 15000 on for damages and would be refunded the next day after they ck out It took them to allow my sister the room 2 and half hours of arguing with these people It was very unprofessional I’d think twice before renting a room here! I know it’ll never happen again for us that’s for sureway to ruin my sister’s honeymoon night thanks alot!
