Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and I gotta say I was thoroughly pleased I was greeted right away by the staff at the hotel and my check in was prompt and efficient There were quite a few people staying there but it was quiet the entire time we were there

The lobby was clean and vibrant as was our room I would also like to comment that their Continental breakfast was actually a breakfast with various options Most places these days just offer you coffee and granola bars and that’s it And breakfast was great! One more important thing to note was the location It is a hidden treasure because there are so many options of places to dine at in Monona like Toby’s, Buck and Honey’s, etc And it’s right off the expressway For the price I paid for this place and everything that came with it I was very pleased I come into Madison a lot for business and will definitely use this place whenever it is available!

Convenient 2pm check in and friendly staff upon arrival Rooms are a bit small, you have to finagle the bathroom door because it hits the entry door Rooms were very clean

Pool area was ok, kids didn’t seem to mind We had a large group that reserved the meeting room for the weekend, which was very nice! Breakfast that is included was also nice – had a few shortages the second morning, but that is due to deliveries, and out of their control Would stay here again

Very relaxing and quiet Staff is very nice and doesn’t bother you Breakfast was great, the coffee thats previewed all day long is wonderful I hate hotel coffee and this was great and I may add that im very picky with coffee King standard room is on the smaller end but it was perfect for the night Fridge was not the coldest, but still appreciated Bed was very comfortable, not anything fantasy but got a good night’s rest

The room was immaculate! I was surprised at how large the room was with the thick privacy curtain between the bed and the couch pull-out – complete with a mini kitchen with a fridge, sink, dishwasher, and microwave For the business traveler, there was a multi-layered desk to use, and the TV was largeThere is a restaurant within walking distance and other shopping if you need to pick up something quick

The breakfast was amazing and I was happy to see fresh oatmeal, the small omlettes, a good selection of yogurt, and other items Elisa was so very helpful at breakfast, friendly, and very interested whether we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed I would DEFINITELY stay here again without hesitation

I don’t like the city so that’s why I gave it a 4 star on location, but that’s not against the hotel really I didn’t stay here, I visited my grandpa and I’ve got to say it was stunning The lobby was very clean and the lady that work at the registers/computers was really nice and had a nice welcoming feeling when she greeted me

I don’t know her name but this place is awesome and I love that it was by a starbucks!

Erin Maines

My mom and I stayed here while I was transitioning to the area for work and waiting for my rental I had my cat and he really enjoyed being on top of the cabinets in the rooms! 😆 The rooms were clean, with everything needed for a long-term stay and options to get an induction burner, etc if desired Breakfast options were reasonable and made waking up early a bit easier

I never had an issue finding a parking spotThe shared spaces were constantly cared for and lots of places to sit, charge your devices, and work A nice little kiosk was set up with a printer/scanner which I made use of a few times as I only had a laptop with me The Wi-Fi was more than sufficient for all my needs I didn’t avail myself of the pool or gym as the Cross-Fit games were going on at the same time and were in use often, but I saw them being sanitized frequently In addition, the laundry facilities were very convenientAll the folks at the front desk and the folks providing housekeeping services were friendly, approachable, and willing to assist in any way possible The location right off the Beltline makes it quick to get anywhere you need to go, with the caveat of rush hour traffic being factored in If you’re looking for a great pet-friendly place for a long-term stay, you won’t be disappointed with Home2 I will definitely be recommending to visitors

I arrived late at night, the front desk lady was awake, and was so nice We had the best conversation while i was checking in The decor in the hotel was beautiful, the lobby, elevator, and the hallways were extremely clean for being late at night

Our room was clean, the bed was so comfortable We overslept and unlike a lot of the upscale places we have stayed they were so accommodating by offering us a later check out instead of rushing us to get out of the room Breakfast was good as well The pool and hot tub was amazing Can’t say enough great things about out experience Will definitely stay here again on our next trip

Randall Grady

Very clean place The staff was courteous and professional The pool and hot tub area was clean

We arrived fairly late in the evening and there were only a few towels left poolside I requested a couple extra and planned on taking them back with me The gentleman working the front desk a Asked me to go enjoy the pool and that he would bring them to us right away It wasn’t more than a couple minutes and he had them delivered I would definitely stay there again!

I picked this hotel for a single night in Madison for my husband and myself Check in was easy and the people working the desk were friendly! However when we went up to our room someone was already in there So we went back down to get a different room

It wasn’t that big of a deal to us, but they(manager and clerk) were apologetic and quickly gave us a different room on the same floor, so we went back upstairs to that room, but that room had been used and hadn’t been cleaned, so we trekked back down the elevator to the front desk and told them about the latest room The manager ended up putting us in the biggest room they had(2 king size beds) and also gave us a discount on the room we had originally requested The new room was clean and well litThe beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub and pool were relaxing and clean! Thanks for a great stay!

Staff are the best

I will coming back just for the people who work there room clean a lot of space But they offer pool and jacuzzy omg I believe nobody clean those You should not offer them and close it at all We left a pair of socks and we find them the next day with all the towels from the day before I will leave some pictures here and you can tell if is just me o this side of the hotel must to be close please take a look

Ron Richer

Hotel Staff were friendly and responsive, the room was clean, pots, pans, and dishes were there and clean BUT I was told that there would be hot breakfasts again in time for our stay and there wasn’t When I complained, the desk guy said that they did have hot food on Special Days – like on Wednesdays

I felt that I had been cheated

Brandon Recknagel

Rooms are pretty good But there’s NO HOT FOOD FOR BREAKFAST

I’m here during Midwest Horse Fair, an event that brings in about 35,000 people a year for the weekend The Queen size bed feels smaller than usual to me And I swear the pillows are 3/4 their normal size I try to give companies the BOTD when it comes to the whole COVID “we can’t find employees” thing, but the cold food only for breakfast really irks me There is an employee stocking the fridge with milk, bringing out bananas and oranges Throw a big bag of premade scrambled eggs into a warmer Your guests will appreciate it I know where we wont be staying next year for Midwest Horse Fair

Good location right next to Alliant Energy Center Room was clean and nice Comfortable beds!! Very functional kitchen with full fridge, two burner hot plate, small dishwasher

The hot breakfast was exceptional Fresh scrambled eggs, homemade hash browned potatoes and two types of sausage Also waffle maker, toast and cereal and good hot coffee Microwave available if needed I would come back just for the hot breakfast!

Steven Hamilton

We were in town for 3 nights for a convention at the Alliant Center The hallway that connects the hotel to the center was very handy Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles, muffins, cereal & etc

They had a pool & exercise room but I didn’t have time to check those outOur room was clean & in good repair Staff was helpful

Isaac Liu

This is a fair hotel for the price- I stayed here to make sure I was within a reimbursement limit The rooms are extremely drab and old but the appliances and amenities are functional- though the shower annoyingly shot a straight jet of water There were no glass, only plastic cups

I hope that they eventually remodel The service for breakfast and the front desk were very good, but my room didn’t seem to be cleaned (towels and bed not changed) for the two nights/three days I was there

I made the reservation online I was in town for business I stayed for two nights

The front desk (Bruce) was very polite and helpful checking me in Room was clean and different (in a good way) from your more traditional hotel rooms Liked the layout and color Room did have a small mini fridge, iron and ironing board – I had to take one star away for the breakfast The first morning I tried one of the breakfast sandwiches Ham, egg, and cheese It was very dry and tasteless I don’t like to waist food but I didn’t finish it The second morning was a little better but still wish it could have been a little bit more I will stay here again, just know in advance that I will be getting breakfast elsewhere – Had a couple of restaurants within walking distance in the evening

Kathleen Bates

This hotel is wonderful! So modern, new, clean, practical, quiet and comfortable This is the most modern hotel we’ve stayed at on our cross country road trip We are staying at IHGs

First time at aVid We love it We will be looking for more of these to stay in the futureBreakfast is grab and go, lots of restaurants nearby, no microwave in the room but it has a small fridge Great gym

The place was so clean! Looked a little outdated, but I cared more about the cleainess The pool was really nice and warm Typical quick hotel breakfast was good

The staff was very friendly Unfortunately it was difficult to relax in the pool because a bunch of kids were screaming and jumping into the hot tub It would be nice to see an adult only hour the last hour of the day that it is open Otherwise great experience!

Natalie Fisher

I was nervous booking this hotel since Quality Inns don’t usually have a good reputation but thanks to the google reviews being good I went ahead and booked it I will definitely book this hotel again! The people were friendly, the breakfast was decent and most of all our room & hotel room was VERY CLEAN!!!! Also you cannot beat the price!!!

Rich Rall

Was glad they have laundry facilities! I work for a drive away service (semi tractor & trailers) This particular trip was supposed to be a one day trip however it turned into 3 days Therefore I did not pack extra clothes so I was glad I could do laundry instead of being in stinky clothes for the third day

Location was excellent but a little tough getting into because of construction No places to eat after 9:30 pm so I went to Walmart for something to eat

We stayed for 3 nights Our room was dirty, hair in tub, toys left under the furniture, blood stains on pillow covers on the couch Common areas were never cleaned

Kitchenette was useful but we had no supplies to clean up after ourselves The AC was loud and the bedroom never cooled off There was one packet of coffee in the roomdecaf Very disappointing We will not be back

Justin Kelley

Terrible experience Did not lift a finger when informed that my room wasn’t cleaned properly before I arrived (dirty towels left hanging in the room, dusty/crumby table, some white stains on chair) Rooms were available, but reserved by platinum members (who weren’t arriving that night) and they refused to clean the room or switch my reservation

Staff was clueless and management was either absent or didn’t care Room was finally cleaned 48 hours after I complained a second time At check out they tried to make me pay for the room saying that I was not part of my organizations reservation and refused any reduction in price Couldn’t recommend a worse hotel

Noah Sternig

I honestly wish I could rate this 0 stars, but unfortunately I can’t We had a hotel room reserved weeks before we came and when we arrived, we were told that our room’s air conditioner broke this morning, keep in mind that we arrived at 9 pm When we walked in our room, the carpet damp and squishy and they had no intention of calling us early

They wouldn’t a reduced rate There were no available rooms left and we were forced to try to find a different hotel Overall, a horrible experience

The manager was very friendly and helpful The room was super clean and comfortable The pool and hot tub are awesome

Breakfast was good Our room was nice and quiet The manager recommended an excellent restaurant just down the road, “Toby’s SupperClub” We ate there two nights, it was amazing The hotel was a little off the beaten path, but still close to everything We would definitely stay at this hotel again, and highly recommend it!

The road to it is a bit bumpyThe staff were friendly Kathy at the front desk was exceptional!People complaining about no bathtubs? I would never take a bath in a hotel! 🤮 No cash for payment? I don’t know of a hotel that will take it without a credit card for incidentals

I found the room to be very quietThe owner was on site a lot and friendly as wellIf convenient to where I wanted to be I would definitely stay here again

Kevin Petges

My family and I stayed 1 night for a wedding The hotel allowed us to check in early by 2 hours I called previously that morning and asked if they had baby beds and they informed me that they have pack and plays

I told them I would like to reserve one for our stay and they said they would put it down for our stay When we arrived I let them know about the pack and play and they said they were out and they don’t do reservations on pack and plays Luckily, they had one left that was slightly broken but it worked The room overall was just fine and the beds were comfortable The pool area is great and 8ncludes some water features like basketball hoops and waterfall features, the kids loved itThe one downside is that I called the front desk to reserve a late checkout at noon because our 1 year old was still napping They said that would be fine A few minutes after 11 am, the housekeeping staff knocked once and then keyed into the room and turned on the light, thus ending nap time for our son They also seemed to have turned the room key off at our original checkout time

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Edgewater Hotel, but sadly, we were very disappointed by our stay Even though our multiple visits to their restaurants and bars have always been disappointing (there’s just not many on-the-water options in Madison, which is why we always return to their gorgeous location) due to poor/slow service and extremely high prices for sub-par food and service, we had high hopes for the hotel stay While the hotel is gorgeous, it’s the lack of customer service and attention to detail that disappointed us

We had our Do Not Disturb sign on our door as we were in desperate need of sleeping in At 8AM on a Sunday, a cleaning staff person knocked and walked into our room – even though we had Do Not Disturb sign on the door The front desk was unsympathetic about it Our room service breakfast was terrible for a “luxury” hotel The coffee was so weak it was undrinkable The bagel and packaged cream cheese were fine, but the fruit salad was defrosted frozen fruit The creamer was individual shelf-stable creamers, not real cream in a creamer service Just so disappointing for a $30 breakfast, that should have been free since we were woken up unnecessarily The rooms were nicely appointed, but the bathroom is poorly lit making it difficult to get ready/do make-up, etc There isn’t anywhere to hang towels, either This might seem very nit-picky, but for a $300/night room in Madison, Wisconsin, one would hope to have a more luxurious experience

Collette McDonald

We had a girls spa day The location is gorgeous Some of the treatment rooms overlook the water

Beautifully appointed The only rub for this spa is the lack of silence from the staff when near the relaxation area and treatment rooms Our first impression was the manager taking a cell call as we were getting a tour and the use of outside voices vs spa level communication It would also be a nice feature if spa guest could reserve a table at the boathouse vs having to go to the restaurant to ensure names are on the list Little things that add up

Mary Ashworth

Madison was a new experience for us What a nice city It feels so much safer than Chicago! We actually walked around at night without feeling the need to look over our shoulders

We were at the Edgewater for a business meeting It is a great hotel with a beautiful view The rooms are large, clean and comfortableWe had a nice cocktail reception on the varanda with dinner to follow The bartender was so sweet and the waitstaff was very accommodatingI will say that the lighting in the lovely bathroom is not bright enough to apply makeup Most hotel bathroom are that way these daysKeep up the great work Edgewater!
