The hotel was exceptionally clean and quiet The facility is up to date and well maintained We stayed on the 8th floor and there was very little noise

The housekeeping staff should be commended Parking is behind a gate in the adjacent lot There is a nearby Publix if you need to pick up drinks and food Breakfast was adequate The Hard Rock Stadium is about 20 minutes away so this is a good location for events over there

Sarah Bennett

We called to check room sizes they told us the 2bdrms suits were 1 king bed and the second room was 2 queen bedsWhen we got to our room there were only 2 beds in total Then they refused to refund us our money because it was within 24hrs of checking in

Even though we just booked it She said the couch counted as a 3rd bed$2200- we spent and we are now sleeping on the floor

We were pretty disappointed Room was not in great condition, bathroom was particularly low quality (have had better at budget motels), service was bad Front desk was minimally staffed and closed at like 5pm, cleaning staff would not clean – only rehang our used towels, and I had to track someone down to find toilet paper and soap (during which I was questioned over what kind of guest I was)

No bar, no food, no vending machines, no ice machines It’s not a terrible hotel, but it was well below we expected to get for $350 a night Calling this place a 4 star hotel is honestly a joke

Tz P

We had a beautiful stay at the Quarzo hotel Starting from check in the service and the staff were amazing, really accommodating and a pleasure to deal with Wish I knew their names so that I can give them a public shout-out

The rooms were immaculately clean and very well equipped Although we took a small room there was a beautiful kitchenette and sitting room and place to put everything down The service at the beach was awesome!! We got as many chairs as we needed and we got 4 cold water bottles handed to us along with our towels When we needed to check out we still had many hours until our flight and we didn’t have a place to keep our luggage The person who checked us out (who might have been the manager although I’m not sure) allowed us to keep our suitcases in his office until we needed to leave I have no words to express the great customer service we experienced Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

Celebrating my sister’s 30th birthday, we had a party of 4 in our girls trip and stayed in the 2 bedroom with the 1 king suite water front apartment We had a really nice view from our balconyLeading up to our stay, the staff was very responsive

At arrival and check-in, again, we had no issues and we were pleasantly greetedIt wasn’t until we got to our room and discovered we needed washcloths We thought it was a simple overlook and had to be a mistake I brought it to the manager’s attention and he seemed disappointed and immediately said he’ll take care of itWe had reservations for massages across the street at another property and told him we’ll follow up with him when we return We returned, and we were offered 1 washclothOf course there’s not much 4 women can do with 1 washcloth, but we were told that’s all they had at the moment We requested additional hand towels and bath towels to substitute for the lack of washclothsIt wasn’t until the next day and sometime in the late afternoon that we were offered washcloths and was only handed 4The amenities were minimal, bathrooms were outdated and the 2nd bedroom had no TV although a port was in the wall for itAside from that, the overall space was nice and accommodating for 4 Location was nice and away from the high traffic areas The beach attendant was a nice add, but a way to order food and drinks would’ve been a nice value add and longer attendant hours

This place was recommended to me by a friend and it was a total hit! From the first call to check availability, the treatment was 5 stars Both Vanessa and Luis made me feel welcome and ready to help make the stay perfect! The apartment is very clean and steps from the spectacular beach Also very accessible to restaurants, pharmacy, supermarkets and pure entertainment

Highly recommended! From now on my place to stay whenever I visit Miami Beach! My son and I had a great time!

Gittel Gross

I’m usually very skeptical to tell people of my great finds for the fear that too many people will find out and I won’t have it to myself anymore! However, this one time, I will actually say – Please stay here!! You will not be disappointed The rooms are spacious and meticulously clean I have stayed here more than a couple times and I continuing coming back and will continue to do so

There’s free parking and the beach is right across the street! Unlimited beach towels and chair use at all hours of the day (and night!) There’s cute pool with comfy lounge chairs Additionally, you’re near all the shopping and delicious restaurants that Surfside/Bal Harbour have to offer If that isn’t enough, the managers, Vanessa and Luis, are seriously the best! They look out for you and are genuinely concerned on if you’re enjoying your stay and offer to make it even better with every chance they get!

Missy Marrara

This review is quite late, but just as sincere We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sun Harbour Vanessa was the most charming of hostesses and absolutely nothing was too much to ask

She was generous, kind, and anticipated things we might want or need The rooms are lovely, well stocked, and very clean, the property is delightful and in a great location to enjoy the shops and dining of Surfside and Bal Harbour The beach was an easy walk across the street, with towels and chairs provided by the hotel We can not wait until we return to Bal Harbour and stay at Sun Harbour again We couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home

The staffs, especially the reservation manager and front desk concierge, were wonderful and helpful with professionalism Customer service was great all aroundEven though room and lobby were not super luxurious, they were spacious and very clean, exactly as advertised

Pool was decent, not crowed Access to the beach was easyThis hotel truly reminds you that you are on vacationDefinitely worth considering if you are in mid beach !

This hotel located in Bal Harbour has a nice pool with easy beach access It was a very quiet hotel They have workers in the pool area that will set you up for the pool or the beach

The pool servicemen were very nice and accommodating The area is quiet and about 1-3 blocks from restaurants and the Shops at Bal Harbour Their workout room is dated and could use a revamping I made it work while I was there but they could easily discard half of their equipment I would stay here again

Wendy Allen

We stayed here the day my husband proposed The property is old, but lends to charm The rooms are updated and big

The bar gets crowded at dinner time and the beach is literally right there off the huge pool The prices are very reasonable for the area Parking is extra We will come back again and again Good value and customer service

I am going to make a short account of my trip to Miami We decided to stay in this hotel (although they say that it is not a hotel but a resort on google map it is registered as a hotel) because seven years ago we stayed in the Manta Ray and we had very pleasant memories Unfortunately they did not have availability for this occasion and that is why we went here… what a bad decision! In the first place, and as I was able to verify recently, several users complain about the quality of the mattresses, the furniture is worn out and the owners must be miserable who do not invest in anything

The coffee maker burnt, the door of the compartment chipped, the air conditioning did not work well, in short, a disaster They charge you a fee if you stay for a week and another if you stay for six days I can understand that Since we went to Orlando and returned for only two days before returning to my country, they charged me 30% more for the two days expensive… (in total we stayed 8 nights 6+2) but they charged us 10% more for the six days and 30% more for the 2 days To this we must add that since we returned on a Sunday they leave the key in a locker with a padlock from which they give you the key Oh surprise when I arrive there is no envelope with my name, there are 10 other envelopes but not mine There is no phone to call… the girls, after a four-hour drive from Orlando, urgently wanted to go to the restroom, they had to pee on the grass A neighbor happened to have Yoel’s phone number, the manager, who told me to check a third time because they had left the envelope… they actually left it in someone else’s name After this I hoped that they would at least recognize one night for the bad time, but the employees are just as miserable as the owners In short, I will not return to this hotel and I do not recommend it at all When I arrived at the airport to return the rented car, it happened that the girl who received it asked me if everything was fine with the car, I was not going to tell her anything, but since the low pressure light on the tires had come on, I went to inflate it and to my surprise, there was one tire with low pressure but three with very high 45 PSI I told her about it so that they would be more carefull eith that The girl apologized and asked me how much I paid to regulate the pressure of the tires I didnt expect the 8 dollars I paid, but the girl gave me a 50$ refund The story of the car is just to illustrate two sides of the coinVoy a hacer un pequeño relato de mi viaje a Miami Decidimos quedarnos en este hotel (auqneu ellos digan que no es un hotel sino un resort en google map sale registrado como hotel) porque hace siete anos nos quedamos en el Manta Ray y nos quedaron muy gratos recuerdos Lamentablemente no tenian disponible para esta ocasión disponibilidad y por eso caimos aquí… que mala desicion!

Great location Our unit didn’t have an ocean front view, but as soon as you exit our unit and take a right the beach is literally just a one minute walk away Units are older but clean

We had a maintenance issue one of the times we were here, and it was checked on and fixed by that evening The area it’s in is surrounded by older and newer condos Just a 5 minute walk away is the Broadwalk which has dozens of shops and eateries on one side and the ‘broadkwalk ‘and beach on the other It’s kept up very nicely The 2 bedroom we stay in has one small bathroom, and the couch makes out into a bed Average size unit The area seems safe, and we haven’t had and problems the 3 years we’ve visited Plan to come again We come in January which is a great time to get away from the cold where we live Highs near 80 in Hollywood FL in Jan

Joel is extremely helpful and addressed any concerns in a timely manner Units are clean and equipped with all the basics you need to be comfortable I haven’t even checked out yet ( I leave tomorrow) and I can hardly wait to return One of my best vacations ever Location is a wrap!!!

Me and my family of 4 stayed here Our family is a pool family and was really looking forward to the nice reviews and pool we saw online The pool was just that! Honestly it was a great place to swim

But the seating was absurd All the seats were packed and we had to sit on the ground This would have been fine if there wasn’t a whole empty owner section with around 30 open chairs that no one else could sit in I hope they give their guest more chairs if we return At this point in our stay we stopped going to the pool because it was the same and we just headed off to the beach The resort only has 4 elevators for over 40 floors of rooms Not to mention no service elevator, meaning every time you would get on there was a cart and service employee on it causing delays to be even greater We stopped on 15 floors to just get to the pool, on all 15 floors we could not pick up any of the passengers due to full capacity At the bar it was $25 dollars per shot and they were not worth it! Honestly I would not recommend this place for a spring break vacation, or a vacation in general

Shamil Gurshumov

Very nice apartments with a gorgeous view!Super cozy

The pool was clean, the beach as well!Loved the security personalUnlike 3 years ago when I was staying there and there were plenty of people at the pool that somehow were getting in so there was no room for us and we could not get an umbrella to sit under this time there were security everywhere making sure it is safe and no strange people on the hotel territory The negative: you will have to wait for the elevator sometimes for 20-30 minutes especially if you gonna stay at the lower floorsBy the time they arrive they are full and you have to wait again and again Had to use the stairs couple of times from the 10th floorOverall very family friendly place!Would definitely stay there again!

Great serviced apartments with nice hotel features If you’re expecting a 5 star hotel it won’t hit the mark These are more like comfortable premium apartments

The facilities are perfect amazing gym, pool, tennis and beach serviceI was a little skeptical at first given some of the google reviews about the lifts We experienced this issue once (we had to wait around 15 mins) the hotel was at max capacity and many people arrived simultaneously It was a little frustrating but all the other positives out weight this small inconvenienceStaff were great, valet was great We will come back highly recommend

My family and I stayed at this location for 2 nights The customer service was second to none as you’d expect from Marriott The amenities that are offered across the street right on the beach are spot on

The complimentary drinks were delicious! Valet made life so easy especially considering how congested this area can get at times The breakfast was above average and if you weren’t feeling up to the breakfast included with your stay, downstairs is a great little spot to grab something at joe and the juice The pool upstairs was very clean and the view from the pool area was beautiful looking out to the ocean I’d say the only ding I’d really have for this location is the rooms cleaning standards didn’t seem as top notch as they usually are It was still more than acceptable, but I will say I know staffing at the moment is tight I brought this up to the hotel and not only was it addressed during my stay, but the general manager sent me a personalized message addressing any concerns The level of care, concern and pride that goes into the Marriott brand is so nice to see We’d definitely recommend staying

This hotel is located in a sketchy area There is loud construction across the street and in the neighborhood Do not stay on a higher level as the night club noise will keep you up all night

My room smelled like mildew My room service was cold and soggy tacos that fell apart The guacamole looked pre-made There was a used, dirty mask behind the night table This place is WAY over priced I had to ask for a glass of sparkling wine that they are supposed to offer me They did not acknowledge my status as a Hilton member

My fiancé and I visited this hotel to see the venue there We are having our wedding there and seeing the venue in person made us very happy with our choiceWe stayed in a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen, dinette, living room and spacious bathroom

The hotel is very clean which is extremely important to me The staff is so helpful and friendly Director of Sales Melanie gave us exceptional hospitality, we felt so special on our entire stay! The Chef- William, was also Amazing and his food was absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to be there in July for our Wedding, we know that we will have a great team from The DoubleTree helping us to make our special day extraordinary!

Grace

Rooms are very spacious! The hotel is clean, although needs renovation and the “pool” is really a kiddie poolbut! The location on the beach is priceless!!! They have a tiki bar and small food shop downstairs, plus great service at the beach, very convenient and hustle free

And, there is Starbucks, Cuban coffee, full supermarket and many more food options across the street on Collins and within walking distance You really don’t need a car in Sunny Isles

This is a rear thing when I’m writing a negative review, but this one should be written as my experience at this resort turned out unpleasant1 The rooms are not prepared for visitors

The a/c did not work It was super loud and did not cool down the room as expected2 Another room they moved us, in did not have the extra lock which was suppose to be there3 The sink was leaking which caused the constant noise, but never fixed during our stay4 Umbrella costs extra $20 a day and is not included in the resort fee5 The staff is not welcoming, neither helpful, I tried to call to service desk many times to resolve the ongoing issues described above, but had to go downstairs as they did not pick up6 No restaurant on site No breakfast7 I didn’t have a chance to use them, but tiki bar is closing at 5 pm so might be good to know for those who don’t drink earlier :)8 Dirty hallways See the picturesAnd so on and so on…I am a Hilton honor member Believe me that worth nothing at that resort Not worth the money

Staff is very nice Accommodations are less than Can hear kids banging the walls on one side, and a couple fighting on the other

Needed updating about 20 years ago And the “Bay View Suite” Yeah just cars racing down the road constantly Do not recommend Would NEVER have booked here, but used Hotwire for the first time in years First time I’ve gotten screwed booking through them

Evan Perri

The service and location was great But the room was not as good, the shower door didn’t fully close causing water to get all over the floor of the bathroom Every time that the air conditioner turned on it would make a clicking sound, you could hear everything that was happening outside your also

It might of just been our room though Other than that it was a really nice hotel

I put 5 but 0, the worst hotel, dirty the balcony, the jacuzzi (also not working), the furniture, the carpet, the elevator and around the pool Expensive and they don’t give you any soap, everything is paid for, everything even the coffee in the room I pay only for the view $450 for one night

You also pay for parking and for using the pool I’m not picky but I have a 6 month old baby who was crawling and the dirt was very disappointing

We had a very pleasant 4 day stay The room was clean and the bed very comfortable The staff were very helpful and cleaned daily

Helen in reception went out of her way to assist us It was quiet and restful The beach is very close by and to top it all the weather was perfect! Would certainly recommend Very good value for the price

Jocelyne Clémençon

We booked via Bookingcom because it was a reasonable price but still enough (approx 200$/night) and we stayed for six days

We got an upgrade for a room with a kitchenette The kitchen had a table with two chairsThe bed was a king size and I wished there was one more cushion per personThe bathroom was okay, but everything is a bit rusty or outdatedWe got fresh towels each day The floor wasn’t cleaned each day, however I am not sure if it is something day do each dayThe hotel is located right next to the main street and the windows are old So you can hear everythingThere are curtains but light will come through all nightThere wouls have been options to get beach chairs and towels We didn’t need itThe place is okay, but you need a car to reach restaurants or shops

Jon Chang

Hair everywhere every day Hair on the floor the first day, different hair on the walls and towels the second day, and even different hair on the towels and floor the third day Definitely don’t clean the floors or vacuum the carpets

Toilets, shower, sink, and bed linens were clean every day Front desk staff was really friendly Location to the beach is great, but proximity to food and bars is inconvenient Even for such a low cost, it’s not worth it

Property manager is very knit-picky on everything Can’t smoke on the property, expects the room to be completely clean at checkout (even though it’s a motel), definitely overpriced, & just have to be quiet in general Only 1 house cleaner as well, you will have to call property management to even get the house cleaner to assist with necessities for the room

Okay place but too much restrictions on the place you pay Also barely parking at night

Delisa Francisco

The white hair lady in the front is probably the most rude person you would ever meet Got there at 3 am (I had a reservation) and when she opened the door looked at me like I’m asking her for a favor “unbelievable” with a very mad face; she goes I ask if there’s something wrong

She goes “everyone getting here at 3, 4 am” mind you this is a MOTEL The reservation was under my friend and she said I needed to send her a picture of her ID when my friend woke up In the morning I went out to get a coffee at 9am 10mins after I find my door locked No call, no text, no warning When I go to the office this lady is in a worst attitude than last night When I said why didn’t you contact me first before going in the room with my stuff inside and lock it She said “we spoke last night” Don’t ever stay here, there’s better choices around for the same price

Been coming here for many years, hotel is a really nice but the service has gone very very down hill Below are the issues that occurred during my latest stay:- Had many issues with my AC which took multiple days to resolve Room was 85 degrees

They sent a “engineer” to fix the AC on night 1, he said he fixed the AC Woke up sweating bullets, AC was not fixed Called back night 2 in the morning, they sent another 2 “engineers” who said they fixed the problem Got back to the room after being at the Day Villa we paid 650$ for to avoid being in a hot room & the AC was still not fixed, still 85 degrees I asked for a new room and they denied my request and gave me a 600$ credit The room was well over $600 a night so I find this very unfair I gave up at this point as I just wanted to try to enjoy my vacation My fiancé has asthma and was having breathing problems due to how hot the room was at this point We decided not to stay after night 2 even though we had 3 nights- Booked a 90 minute massage before arriving online Upon arrival we decided we’d like to get a couples massage so I attempted to call the Spa to change this They did not answer there phones for 2 days I called the front desk multiple times and explained the situation, they just forwarded my call to the Spa who did not answer the phone again and again Finally only 2 hours before my massage, they called The lady who called me was very rude and said they can move it as a “courtesy” however they only had one time slot available for a couples massage and we already had plans to leave at this point and go to a different hotel Because of this, I asked to cancel and they said they will still have to charge me the full price of the massage + 20% to cancel They said they’ve been trying to reach me for the past two days so it’s not there fault There’s no way they were trying to reach me, I’ve received numerous calls from the hotel which I’ve answered and had no communication problems whatsoeverI’ve stayed at many different St Regis hotels around the United States and I’ve never dealt with this kind of service St Regis Atlanta for example which I stayed at only a few months ago was an absolute joy, and the service was fantastic If you are vacationing to Miami, I highly recommend checking out other options as you will definitely be disappointed as this hotel does not live up to the St Regis brand

Beautiful large hotel close to the beach in Miami Stayed here before the pandemicThe good:- Beautiful, clean rooms with gorgeous views of the ocean

– Luxurious, tropical feel- Great location for visiting the beachThe not so good:- Service was below 5 star / 5 diamond standards- Pool complex could be biggerI know some people say the rooms are a little dated, but they are clean and well appointed If you want an ultra-modern hotel, you may want to stay somewhere else The location is amazing, as it is right on the beach Walk out from the pool complex right out onto the beachService was a little below standard for a hotel of this class The hotel didn’t seem all that busy when I stayed here, but getting a service request completed took a long time Also, the pool complex is nothing special While most people do go out onto the beach, the privacy of the pool can be enjoyable, especially at night I feel a little let down in that regardOverall, great location, gorgeous views, nice rooms, and lacking a bit in the service department I prefer this hotel over the Savoy For the price, you might be able to do a little better, but you could also do a lot worseRooms with ocean views are highly recommended

The studios are spacious I like having a kitchen to prepare meal and coffee before heading out for meetings and after The unit I resided for my stay had a spacious closet, but no iron and board

It had a full size fridge Stove with oven Microwave and coffee maker Pots, pans, plates, bowls, glassware, and eating utensils No Ice maker or ice trays There’s an intimate courtyard for relaxing You can park on the property which I like as opposed to parking on the street and there was no extra charge These are older units but have been updated with the exception of the windows They do have the package Terminal Air Conditioning units and they are a little noisy but not horrible You get an old school Key which you leave $5000 CASH 💸 deposit you get back when you chek out and your card is dinged for a $10000 deposit for possible damages that will be returned to your card I was shocked when I first had to pay this, wondering what’s the clientele like, did I make a mistake am I checked into the hood, will my car be broken into 😆 🤣 Area seems safe and the folks I’ve met on my stays have been very pleasant Checking in and out is weird, you have to conduct the transactions while standing outdoors day or night I equate it to a drive through, it’s as though they don’t really want to interact with the customer Other than these oddities my stays have been good

Brigitte Garcia

The place is full of little roaches and the AC doesn’t work well Also the property manager Eddy was extremely rude with me and my friend, he never clearly told us about the smoking policy in the place and he put us a warning for the same reason The place is cheap but the costumer service was terrible I wouldn’t recommend tourist or anyone to stay at this location
