I would definitely recommend Falcon Floats! They are organized, quick, and efficient They have good kayaks and paddles The people running it are very nice and know what they’re doing

The river was beautiful and the flow was nice Not a lot of shady spots, but there are a few and the river is cleaned up with very minimal trash We saw river otters, a fawn getting a drink, big and small fish, and some pretty cute tadpoles There’s quite a few rope swings as well We had a great time!

Jerry Niles

We booked online from the website, which we discovered none of the photos depicted the actual grounds Both entries are not RV friendly The sites aren’t well marked with sites sharing water and electricity

No fire rings, low hanging branches and the bathroom and swimming pool need major upgradesOn the positive side, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful The float trip was good! Other than they don’t have a landing at their site You go a mile further downstreamWould I recommend the campground, No!!! The float site is average

Lisa Flippo

This place is amazing!! Clean bathrooms camping spots were nice and shady The owners are so chill The workers were so nice! Really felt like you could just go and really enjoy yourself and not be messed with

Also inlove with the fact they have a pool Traveled 2 hours to get there and it was worth it Will defiantly go again! Thank you!!!

Giving a four because they just opened back up recently and are probably still working out the kinksI got the crawfish etouffé fries; the etouffé was delicious but the fries were very soggy and cold underneath The boudin balls were WONDERFUL and the sauce that came with them was wonderful as well

The boudin fries were okayThe staff were very nice and friendly, but there isn’t a lot of organization yet Try to be patient with them if you’re missing some of your food because they are trying hard!I’ll definitely be back, but I might wait a few more weeks 😊

Our family has been coming here for over 20 years and absolutely love it here!It is a great little resort site that has pretty much everything you much everything you needAnything else you might need is located nearbyThey have the perfect setup for floating the river and having a comfortable and fun place to rest when you get back to the campground

Christy McCreary

Very disorganized They grouped all floaters under/near a pavilion and called the name associated with each group That’s all well and good unless you have about 300 people grouped together waiting, and then it’s really hard to hear

A PA system would have helped We waited about an hour and a half before we were called to board the bus Once we got to the drop-off point, we had to wait almost another hour for our single raft One person was checking tickets and directing floaters to the assigned rafts Again, that’s all well and good unless you have 300 people being funneled to one person I understand that this is peak season, and you have to expect wait time, but I can think of several ways that better organizationscould have improved the process and gotten customers on the water faster I’d also like to add we did have reservations

Blake Smith

Where eagle does a terrific job helping you float the river The cabins are OK, but the air conditioning does not work so great The fixtures are quite dated and the ceiling fans rattle quite a bit

The ceiling fan in my room was shimmed up with up with folded Bud Light boxes Overall I would definitely recommend war eagle as the place to stay when you float

Hanging rock is our favorite place to float the river! The long float is upstream from most places and is definitely the more scenic and beautiful route We love them even more now because of how kind they are, this last time we floated the long trip we had a diabetic kid with us and his insulin pump fell off halfway through and we where worried about finishing the float without knowing if his insulin levels were safe, they where super helpful and picked us up at the halfway point so we could get him back to our car to take care of his blood sugars, we are so grateful of how kind and considerate they where to pick us up early so we could make sure he was safe This is the only place i will float the river from from now on, on top of it being the most calm and scenic route, the fact that they went out of their way to pick us up early when we had a minor emergency, when most places are to busy to even answer the phones, they went out of their way to make sure we where safe and definitely have a few loyal customers for life from us now

Kathy Tibbits

Most beautiful hidden little valley Pristine campsites Wildlife

Great food Hanging Rock has hosted the Annual Blue Note Roundup for a dozen or more years, and no place else would have this closeness to nature, beautify, seclusion, and did I say a great stage? Nice folks, too This is a good stretch to float (less impacted) A zen place

Heather White

Arrived on a Friday afternoon and everything appeared great and clean Located our camping spot and it was a small triangle that our tent hardly fit in and the stakes wouldn’t even go in the ground Spot 8 shouldn’t be a spot, but we were told we made reservations and they couldn’t change them even though there were other open spots

Our camping neighbors were so loud all night, even had a bright light pointing at our tent, and there wasn’t a way to get in touch with anyone The camp bathroom quickly got disgusting, by Saturday morning, and didn’t appear to be cleaned all weekend I won’t be back

Had a great time every time we have floated with Arrowhead! The staff is friendly, accommodating, and more than willing to go the extra mile to make sure their guests have a 5 star experience Check-in is quick and easy They really show how much they value the customer experience, and if there are ever any hiccups along the way, they go far above and beyond what I’ve seen any other business do to make sure they have a customer for life

Thank you, David, for taking care of us!!

We went down for the 4th of July and had a great time The staff were great You will want to bring pillows and top blanket, coffee if you want to make it in cabin, but they do have coffee at the front desk

Some firewood is needed if you plan to have fire We did have a microwave in cabin 2 w sink but no stove They do have cabins with stoves if you need one We did the A (short) float both 3rd & 4rth and both day were very organized and easy to follow We had a party of 10 w 2 rafts and with stopping a couple times to eat and cool off it took us 4-5 hrs Was just right with kiddos We will definitely be back

Jeff Simin

We stayed at “The Rock-a-way” cabin Pretty cool place other than not having water access and having lots of kids with us it was very inconvenient U would think for $800/nite u could get to the water from the cabin instead of having to use the public access next door

also what was up with all the lower kitchen cabinets in the kitchen being screwed shut? With it sleeping 35 and our group of 26, the space for everyone’s food was definitely needed

I have been to many other float places a long that strip My friend highly recommended this group saying her family goes every year and loves it We as a group and her family will never go back to this place

The rudest staff who make slander comments Also be aware they have a 5:00pm curfew while other places like Peytons place are 7:00pm If you are 1 minute late they charge a $150 fee Which they DO NOT MENTION no signs posted and can’t be found ANYWHERE in the waiver or info pages we screenshotted everything we could find to use against them and fight the feeThey will allow you to book the long trip knowing you won’t make it back in time just to collect the late fee If you insist on using them book the short float so you’re back in timeAlso bring your own water A case is $2500!

We came for my husbands birthday and had a 10 o clock float reservation, when we arrived there was a line to get check in that took 45 minutes to get through When finally checked in we had to wait an additional hour and half just to get on the bus with the excuse that “it’s Saturday” and we’re super busy They told us we had to be back by 7, but since we didn’t leave until afternoon there was no way we would be able to finish the 12 mile float in time so they told us we could arrive a little late

Right around 6 we rolled up to the 6 mile marker and we’re told we had to stop or we would be charged 150 extra per hour we were out When we got back to the office they refused to do anything to compensate us even though we only finished half of our float and told us plenty of people made it back in time on the 12 mile that day but couldn’t say who or what time they had left either Terrible customer service…the staff was extremely rude when I tried to talk to them and it was obvious the communication between them all is terrible…I’ll never float with them again

Tonya Bodiford

First off, I should have done checking before just picking a place to pull in, found out at the pay window that it’s reservations required for kayaking so had to do a raft I only did rafting last weekend 08/06/2022, started with the 1hr line that for some reason didn’t move for the first 25min then after checking in, I watched 6 buses leave with long trip parties, I went to make sure they didn’t loose my ticket and finally after 1hr, 20min of waiting for a bus to get started I finally got called

We stayed here for the weekend The staff was friendly at check-in, the staff and security were as well The grounds are big, clean with plenty of trash barrels throughout the property that are empty daily

There is plenty of spots for RVS and tent camping There are cabins and hotel style rooms which we stayed in the hotel but after the 1st night we were second guessing doing so, as people are very loud in their rooms especially the ones above you with their hard walking at all hours of the night and you can practically hear everything next to you but we managed Also the rooms don’t have any plugs except one in bathroom The beds we found rather hard for us The people around in other rooms where friendly but way too loud at night but this is to be expectedThis resort also has a bar & grill that serves food, cheap drinks with live music on weekends which is nice to listen tooThe rafting experience was fun but dangerous due to the current of the water and trees being down in the river If you or others are floating (6 or 12 mile) do let the staff know when checking in so you can get your time and your instructions We did the 12 mile as the water flowing really quickly and we had a dangerous situation happened that was preventable Again if you are not good on the water I don’t recommend floating if water is running fast, don’t be afraid to ask Also please be aware of the debris in the water such as trees, be mindful of others on the river and maintain a safe distance (a lot)Next time we come back we will definitely get us a cabin

Justin donnell

Excellent staff!!! Very kind, courteous and accommodating people!!! Another place had told us earlier in the week “no reservations were needed regardless of weekend or weekday” Upon arrival@8am (after driving over 200miles) they told us they were completely booked We went to Diamondhead and they said they were booked as well but because we were turned away by the other place they would help us out and got us on the river right away!!! We had a blast with our kids!!! My wife and I said “from now on this is the ONLY place we’ll be coming back to!!!

Where do I start? The only thing good about our experience at this place was that it was available We got 1 key, that didn’t work and had to be replaced There was 1 towel and rag in the bathroom

The bulbs were burnt out and when we tried to get some from the front desk they said they would call maintenance, which never came The a/c struggles to cool the room There we’re bags of trash in the stair well that were there when we arrived at 6:30 pm and still there at 9 the next morning The pool is a disgusting green color The breakfast area is covered in trash bags and closed off There was no coffee, juice, or even water available for customers The staff was 1 girl working by herself which had absolutely no knowledge of the area and wasn’t helpful in any way Extremely disappointed and will not use this place again Paid over $100 to stay here and it isn’t worth it

Sarah Ramsey

This is the worst maintained place Go anywhere else, if you want a clean room and a comfortable, this is not where you want to be Came for a family float trip and am leaving before 8 a

m on a Sunday morning because it was just too gross to stay any longer Front desk employees don’t know their computer systems, can’t get you one extra towel, the hallways are not air conditioned Lobby areas are not clean Pool chemicals on a pallet next to the elevator, but the pool hasn’t been opened this year and it’s July There was an old nest of bugs just inside our room, the tub dripped, the toilet ran, TV wasn’t plugged in and when we unplugged a lamp to be able to plug the TV in, it was stuck on CNN Volume worked but even using buttons on the TV we couldn’t change the channel The elevator broke between floors just before we left for dinner so it was extra fun lugging everything down the stairs this morning Hope there wasn’t anyone with a disability on the second floor In using the stairs that are also not air conditioned, we discovered half of the first floor rooms have sheetrock torn off and are semi-covered with plastic Looks like it has been this way for a while The entire place needs help Even the landscaping is overgrown and needs attention

The Owner or GM of this property is ripping people off My wife rented a room for 7 nights and was quoted over the phone $638 after tax When she arrived the lady was checking her in and she was about to swipe her debit card and the Owner stopped her and said he couldn’t accept her card and she needed to get cash

Then he tells her that the total is $720 plus he wanted a $100 deposit So my wife goes to ATM and withdraws the cash and comes back and pays for room This was a king suite smoking room that also had a fold out couch I was working about 2 hrs away and was not going to be staying every night Upon checkout the Owner tells my wife that because I had come to visit and stayed the night 3 nights out of the 7 that he would not return the deposit He was extremely rude and made it clear he did not care if we left a review or contacted Days Inn Headquarters When we left the hotel we checked the website and the room she stayed in was $605 total after tax for 7 nights We have contacted Days Inn HQ and are waiting for a call back on this ridiculous excuse for a human DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY

If you are even a little bit choosy on your hotel, I would avoid this one If all you want is a clean bed and a toilet, then go for it It’s a cheap night and it gets the job done

It is SO old, and needs completely remodeled Very dirty carpet, ancient bathroom (afraid to take a shower) The bed was the only good thing That was all I needed and I was out of there They have the office locked up for Covid You must talk through a little hole in a window No breakfast available If you want to get the discounted prices, you have to go online and pre-pay with an app

Deonia Cherrington

BED BUGS!!! UNPROFESSIONAL (also a tad threatening) staff I met my autistic adult friend to help check him into a room for the evening I visited for a moment and left to drive an hour home, only to turn around,go get him,and attempt to get the staff available for checkout at 1am

He called me in a panic feeling things biting him and sure enough MASSIVE INFESTATION There was also blood spatter on the bathroom door 🤨 Your guess is as good as mine He was not refunded and barely got his deposit back when we were forced to return the following morning because staff didn’t attend the desk and hung up on me when I called to address the issue Terrible experience ABSOLUTELY, DO NOT CHECK IN HERE!!! Side note: I was bitten just being there momentarily 😱🤢😡

Kris Baker

If I were you I’d choose somewhere else we paid for our room and as we are getting ready to go in we get rushed by the owner yelling at us saying they don’t allow pets, however the man inside shouldn’t have let us pay knowing we had a pet We were willing to get our money and leave no issues but this woman insisted on yelling and being absolutely rude to us and her employee for no reason

So mad she was shaking and we never even went into the room or even got a chance to raise our voice Just straight bad management!

Did not enjoy the stay at Cone’s They charge $27 a night for no TV, no showers, no laundry, no trees for shade, and no internet They are just a field with electric, water and sewer connections

When I called to make reservations, I was told they were within walking distance from the Cherokee Nation Center In fact they were over 1 1/2 miles away They are also miles away from any café or stores except their little gas station store stopI had to prepay with my credit card for the 3 nights I planned to stay, but when we decided to leave after 2 nights they would not refund me the 3rd nights stay They said they had no way of crediting back the one night on their credit card machine Don’t go there, not only are they expensive for what you get, but they are also dishonest

Martin Alexander Crispin Lakes III

This rv park is pretty much in town The pricing is right It is a basic rv park

Electricwater Sewage No cable No Wi-Fi No pools or suchBUT If you are just looking to park for a couple days and be our at attractions all day its perfect Quiet And sits off a main road at least a football field length So close to down town though you are less than 5 minutes and plenty of sights locally and resorts are nearby for raftimg and the like

I only regret that I didn’t take pictures! EXTREMELY cozy place to take the family! The Cabins are a one bed/kitchen and a living room with a TV and AC and a bathroom in the back There is a large area for dancing or any type of recreation, a pond with fish for catch and release fishing, LOTS of shade, and lastly a store a few paces away for drinks or pretty much anything you may want or need Lovely place to go to for relaxing

Mikayla Fagan

This is a good cabin if you just need an air conditioned place to sleep and shower If you’re planning to stay and relax in the cabin, I’d pick somewhere else There was pet hair all over the place and there were sticky food stains in the fridge and kitchen area

Anyone over 5’3” will need to squat down a bit to use the shower We reserved a cabin because we wanted more privacy than we would get in a hotel room, but the woman in the cabin next to ours set up a hammock right in front of our door, and we almost walked right into her The store is convenient and has lots of things available you could need

Dave Williams

I didn’t actually stay here, but I did eat breakfast at the diner and then I got gas before I drove home to OKC I just got bacon and eggs, but they did a great job with them and a friend with me got French toast that looked really good After breakfast I went to check out of my cabin down the street and came back to get gas

This was the only station I found in the area with 100% gas instead of ethanol and as an uber driver that’s extremely important for me Good prices, good service, and good people all the way around here
