Loved the hotel

Good staff, great room and the breakfast was good Some of guest weren’t good A lady actually looked at me weird and asked if I worked there and she was very rude but the same morning, I heard a staff person ask a lady who was on crunches,, if she needed help putting her luggages in her car I thought it was very nice, because he wasn’t a concierge but he was super nice I will be back and I hope others will book as well It’s like taking a vacation when your really not on vacation!!

Vincent Ray

Great clean nice looking room and service, impressive! However when I woke up to get ready I quickly discovered that I had zero hot water! I let it run for 20 min in hopes it was just slow to heat up but NO! I had to shower in room temp water! Terrible and cold 🥶 I will write this place off permanently When I told the front desk the reaction told me this wasn’t the first time it’s happened

Such a miserable experience

Lesley

Overall the hotel is nice…my complaint is how our frustration has been handled We have stayed at pet friendly hotels before with no issue but this trip we are next to a large pitbull that won’t stop barking After checking in I asked the front desk and they essentially blew me off and said you are at a pet friendly hotel

No offer to move us rooms, speak with the owner of the dog to stop barking, etc When we passed the owner with the dog we could hardly get down the hall because she said the dog would jump all over us and with a 3 year old daughter that doesn’t exactly scream friendly dog At 11pm when the dog was still barking the front desk was rude and finally said they would move us – which we weren’t going to do that late Not sure why they couldn’t have offered this when we checked in Very disappointed in how they have handled our simple complaint and now sleep deprived Would not recommend

Staying here for surgery and I can’t say enough about the staff and how helpful and friendly they were I don’t remember much but I couldn’t walk because I was still dizzy and they got a rolly chair and helped me in it and into my room, and helped me on to the bed They were so sweet and wished me a a well recovery and patted me sweetly on my arm

My mom said she thought it was the maintenance man and a house keeper woman, they didn’t have to do any of that Thank you so much to kind strangers Ps can’t wait to try out the morning breakfast 🤪

Jeff A.

I usually don’t post 1 or 2 star reviews but this had to be said The service from the front desk was ok; I had to switch rooms three times First room; I had to be under a room where the children was free to wrestle or something

Second room smelled like sewage/waste Third room smelled like cigarettes, finally the last room didn’t have a smell or noise from a bunch of children playing I was elateduntiluntil it got warm in the room and had to turn the air on Oh my word! The A/C unit sounded like an old giant generator; I thought the room was going to take flight Needless to sayI didn’t get much sleep at all; about two hours or so I was hoping the breakfast would make up for the non sleep, I was wrong I actually wish I could get a refund BTWI’m still a bit groggy today Hopefully it will ware off so I can get back to my cheerful nature OMG

Absolutely excellent hotel, especially if you want a kitchen They provided everything we needed as far as pots, pans, dishes, etc it feels very clean and spacious for a hotel, and the price is excellent

Breakfast was also even nicer than we expected It ends at 9 on weekdays, and would have helped us if it always lasted until 10 like it does on weekendsThe staff is also very kind and helpful They took care of all of our needs while we were there

Always An American

I lost track of a friend for 25 years He lives in Michigan I live in California

We both traveled to Texas He stayed in a few different hotels; by the time I arrived, he had found the Residence It was perfect and clean, and the staff was very helpful Our suite was across the hall from my friend’s, very convenient I stayed 5 days he stayed for 12 days They have now raised the bar for other hotels to meet

Jess

Upon arrival they messed up and failed to put us in the correct room per our reservation They put my family in 2 different rooms side by side which was okayFast forward 5 months later and they decide to charge our credit card again for another amount they failed to collect at the time of checkout

Sent us a bogus receipt with information that didn’t event exist per our reservation Called hotel and hotel manager never called back Disputed charge and then they decide to send the cc company the correct invoiceManagement – why not send the correct invoice from the start and charge the correct amount at the time of stay Very poor customer service!! Will not return

Really, really nice room Super soft sheets and duvet on bed Nice kitchen and bath

Probably residency for hospital staff next door One of the best rooms ever Took away a star when smoke alarm went off several times during the night until I unplugged it Low battery isn’t a chirp but a full alarmThey have laundry facilities and a decent pool

Kathi Konklin

Although it is a slightly older hotel, it is very acceptable What I liked: Super soft sheets A comfortable bed (not THE most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in a hotel, but better than the Hilton Home2 Suites I’ve also stayed at recently)

Love the bathtub’s surface One of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that doesn’t feel like you are going to slip and fall when you stand in the tub Fantastic water pressure! Showers don’t take long because there is adequate water pressure to get cleaned, rinsed, and outta there Good closet space Quiet room Love the little kitchenette and dishwasher Everything worked, remoteeverything The ONLY concern I have is that the door key system is not working on the back and side doors to the hotel Therefore all the people (appeared to be long term stay guests) had propped the doors open with a trash can, a rock, etc so they could come in and out to the parking lot There seemed to be a lot of guys with big trucks tailgating in the parking lot and visiting Seemed like respectable construction crews at the end of day That’s okay, but propping doors open so that ANYONE that wanders up can walk right in is NOT safe That bothered me, although I did not personally experience anything that I felt threatened by The $ rate is very good, so a good deal for the money Friendly front desk people I plan on going back Just get the doors fixed!!

Torre Griffin

I literally JUST checked in The elevator is broken and they put us on the 4th floorThe way the parking lot is designed, you have to park in the back of the building

The electronic entrance door in the back was broke! You have to walk all the way around to the front door Staff seems like they could care less about the inconvenience of the guestThe hotel and room is ok Location is good

Mike

This is a very nice hotel with great amenities The restaurants have really good food and a wide selection The rooms are very modern and nice with lots of room to spread out

The location of the hotel is wonderful since there are multiple restaurants within walking distance For an Ambassador Elite member the staff, especially Kevin, made me feel right at home I’m definitely staying here again

Peter Hatchell

There is no barrier between the shower and the bathroom at large; consequently, showers inundate the ENTIRE bathroom with water Additionally, the lights in the rooms are annoying They are overly modern, hard to operate, and worst of all, automatically shut off WHILE YOU ARE USING THEM

This hotel is very nice but aspects of it push modernity to the point that they are wildly inconvenient to use I am so glad that I only have to deal with these things for two nights Any more would be maddeningBeds are nice Gym is nice Everything is crazy overpriced thoughOh and you cannot access the stairs? What are we supposed to do in the event of a fire? What if I don’t want to go on a crowded elevator during a pandemic? This is not conducive to good health, safety, or a pleasant hotel experience Very unpleasant I would much rather use stairs than an elevator at any given point The stairs are what knock this down from a three star to a two star review

Andrew T

Honestly, the best treatment I have ever received from a Marriott property This hotel is not just amazingly clean and modern, but every single employee I interacted with was incredible I stayed at this hotel years back when it first opened and it was wonderful then

They have not lost their touch This is rated a 4-Star hotel, but 5-Star treatment Rooms are immaculate, beautiful hotel, hallways nice and clean, bathrooms are perfect, views are amazing and the location is the best around

After staying here for a week the pool was closed on multiple days and when it was open no towels, we could not get house keeping unless we asked for it Breakfast was always missing something… cereal but no milk, gravy but biscuits etc… To top things off my truck and another truck there got broken into they busted out our windows Informed the front desk and they said they were aware it but didn’t have cameras but had security on site I was there week never once did I see him there

And really just acted like who cares Be very careful where you park if you decide to stay there

Cami Casner

Our truck got broken into and they have no security cameras so nothing was done When we went to the police they said that this happens all the time at this hotel When I went to the front desk to let them know they said they were aware and told me it was park at my own risk even though they did not have a sign that said that at all

Don’t recommend for the money you’re paying to stay They should have security

I recently stayed a couple of nights here with my family and we were very happy! Originally we were going to just stay one night, but then decided to add a second night about 20 minutes after we got in to our room we were so happy with itThe staff was very friendly and helpful, everything was clean and taken care of (the elevator does make a weird sound but we made it to our floor safely), and the beds were comfy! We were pleasantly surprised that there was a laundry room, and even more surprised that there was no additional charge to use the washers and dryers! We got one of the “suites” with two bedrooms which made for a nice stay as there are 6 of us I don’t plan on staying there again only because we moved to the same area, but I would definitely recommend this place to friends or family if they were looking for someplace to stay

Laura “Lalaa”

At check in I received a goodie bag w mini water bottles and an assorted trail mix snack! That alone was exciting Also, I enjoyed the different amenities offered at this particular location A smoke free facility, but there are designated smoking areas

It was a laid back vibe and view to have while being outside where there’s a nice BBQ pit area alongside the pool! The rooms are spacious and have much to offer

Kenisah Griffin

I’ve stayed here a couple of times and the hotel is definitely outdated The first room was actually pretty decent but this new room is the complete opposite There are stains and spots in the refrigerator from the previous occupants

The comforter has a lot stains on it The shower is weird, it runs and fills the tub at the same time They do have complimentary breakfast and it’s pretty good as well serving hot and cold items Most of the staff is helpful and knowledgeable

My girlfriend and I stay here quite often when we attend events in Houston We recently booked again for 2 nights We usually use some kind of booking app, some of them provide discounts

At check in, the clerk seemed quite disgruntled/ annoyed that we’d gotten the room at a discounted price We thought nothing much of it, until we happened to land in a room with lights missing, no working TV or air conditioning Of the many times we have stayed here, there is not a single issue When we called the front desk, the same clerk answered with no help at all Didn’t know how to fix anything, offered no solution, told us to turn on the AC Dude, clearly we have been trying that Anyways, since we are both non confrontational and already unpacked/ taking showers, we stayed in the room and just decided to never stay at this hotel again 3 stars because the rooms are mostly clean, we did get a room once with blood near the door The wifi barely works and the hairdryers all smell like old cigarettes I guess you get what you pay for :’)

The office lobby was very clean and inviting The front desk clerk Tracy was very friendly and also was very concerned about me being comfortable She went above and beyond to help me with my hotel room

She was super polite and professional My stay there was brief due the location being too far for me The room was nice and I really appreciated off of the help that Tracy assisted me with She would make a wonderful manager if she is not already one

Mohamed Alamin

Great place to book if you’re looking for long term stays I stayed in the single suite room It was spacious, clean and comfy

The hotel itself was quiet and served breakfastThe staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentiveLocation wise it was around 40 minutes from downtown, but the Willowbrook Mall was a 5 min walk away in addition to other shopping options and supermarkets Will definitely stay there again if I get the chance

The rooms and hotel was clean It looks like it could use updates and some fixes but overall rooms qere great! The staff here were very friendly and helpful We were there memorial weekend and when getting ready to check out Monday my son was burning up and I needed to know how bad

The woman at the front desk used their thermometer to check him and gave us great advice on how to bring his fever down By the time we checked out at 1200 his fever was down and we had a quiet drive homeI wish I could remember her name! This was my baby’s first fever and this is new to me, but her calm kept me calm If she sees this she knows who she is, thank you!!

Nice people somewhatDidn’t have water from 9 pm Thursday night until after7:30 am!!!!! Crazy for business people!I would have thought it would have been SMART to deliver water to every room that had guests, rather than say, come and pick em up at the frt desk – not cool when you’re already in your room and have to dress again to get waterBUT, I guess they don’t have to worry about being great with customer service!!!!!!!!!!

The room was clean and large The bed was very comfortable Staff were quite pleasant

Check-in was super easy Location right off the highway was convenient The suite we stayed in had a kitchen that was stocked with dinnerware and a few extras The table area between the kitchen and living area was perfect for eating, prepping, playing games and overflow seating from the living room One of the nicer hotels we’ve stayed in while traveling Thanks!

Back on March 20, I decided to try this hotel for the first time I’m glad I did! Customer Service was excellent, Nita in particular ensured my stay went smoothly and was very nice In fact, there was a guest who was rude and I could smell alcohol, Nita stayed professional throughout and I was impressed

Calm, cool and collected The room was nice and clean House keeping was prompt when cleaning in the mornings I definitely will be back!

Heather Card

The hotel is immaculately clean inside and out All the employees I noticed were attentive, helpful and professional Our room was spotless and fresh

The bed was very comfortable! The property is close enough to the interstate that traffic noise was noticeable but not unbearable The hotel was convenient to things we needed to do but was in a slightly questionable area Not enough to deter me from returning next week but just something I noticed

It’s off the highway a little drive away from the mall Quite, rooms nice but ours wasn’t real spacious but we all fit comfortably I think the site I used didn’t show our amount of people correctly

It seems like a long stay hotel rather than one night Staff was wonderful and friendly helping anyway they could Altogether a beautiful place

annajazzie

Just wanted to let past, current, and future guest know that they do not always change the blankets for each guest I worked here for 2 days before I quit During my training I was told that if a guest stays for 1-2 nights and the blanket on top has no stains then they consider it “clean” and leave it for the next guests

It’s absolutely disgusting, especially since covid is still going around

Kaela Styles

This place is going downhill Checked in after a long work night, showered, laid down after a long day and what did I see… a bug crawling out the pillowcase towards my face and two more tiny bugs in the bed sheets once I hopped out quickly of disgust Went downstairs and showed front desk clerk the picture after paying $189 for the night so was moved rooms only to find this time after pulling back sheets, hair in the bed which wasn’t mine

My hair is blonde Hair found in bed was brunette At this point, it’s after 3AM in the morning and have to be at work again in 6hrs Slept on the couch entire night and asked front desk for the manager She proceeds to tell me she is the manager, told her my issue, let her know I took pics which she then asked to see them Then she states she’s the acting manager, if I’m looking for a refund or a credit that I would have to talk to the other manager In my mind, I’m thinking this doesn’t sound right I let her know that I just want a decent rest, running off late to work as I waited to speak to a real manager so I told her I would return after my 1st shift of work on a break Now I’m informed he wouldn’t be back until next week So I ask can they just compensate me some other way Even if that means moved again at this point because I paid my money She says sure we can do that and I will have them check to ensure no issue before 3PM check-in Problem solved right?!? Wrong! I check out the next morning and see that I’m now charged an additional night days later which was supposed to be compensated for the horror experienced with 1st room and 2nd It showed a credit at first of -$50 during the time but later in the week now shows $285 I contact the hotel again in the evening after work and the front desk clerk not only gets an attitude with me, she’s rude and questioned who informed me about the credit and how can I expect to speak to a manager at night Most places have someone on-call She then puts me on hold immediately versus advising me on next best steps I need the manager to pull cameras and audio of this incident as I was highly disappointed at not only how the situation was poorly handled but the lack of corporate conduct of the front desk clerk and misinformation given to me as a customer I also opened up a claim with corporate the same night and will follow up accordingly

Nice clean hotel with a modern feel Starbucks, free breakfast, laundry, and bar on-site The breakfast was hot and had lots of options! We stayed on the third floor on the freeway side

The room was not very soundproof and we heard cars going up and down the road all night Definitely need to ask for a room on the back side of the hotelThe staff was very friendly and helpful with all my requestsI would stay here again! If you found this review helpful, please hit the like button!

Bri be me

I had to come from out of town for business so my company put me in a hotel I am a very clean person and terribly scared of bedbugs, lice, fleas, ticks, etc So needless to say, I was pretty scared

I checked my room and it was very very clean No bugs in any lining at all I was pleasantly relieved My room was on the interstate side I will say, you do hear the cars go by I personally, didn’t mind It is a hotel and most are right off highways Besides, I am a heavy sleeper and find the cars to be a soothing background noise I cannot sleep with pure silence I am a little disappointed that I didn’t have a microwave and that the fridge was not very cold inside All in all though, clean and very nice rooms/suites (I don’t know which I was booked for) Parking was also convenient and well lit I felt safe here and I feel like that can put my family at ease a little bit In regards to staff, I didn’t have a problem They were informative and pretty nice Did I mention- free breakfast Free food is always a blessing 😊

Went here to celebrate and have a getaway with the significant other celebrating an anniversary, and it was pretty convenient for the price, location and ease of everything Kudos to the hotel staff that also run the Starbucks and bar area – went to get a late-night Tequila Sunrise and Peach Margarita and they honored the happy hour price when they didn’t have toOnly issue I had was the fridge not working properly, but I think may have to do with people seldom using the ADA roll-in shower room type – which, might I add, had good accommodations if you get around in a wheelchair

We stayed in late April The beds were comfortable, A/C worked well, shower was weak but functioned well and plenty of hot water Wi-fi was good

Clean except the carpet had a slightly wet sticky film, like maybe a carpet cleaner that had not dried We stayed 3 nights and it never went away Could not walk around with socks due to this This gave it a slight odor that bothered my daughter but I got used to itBreakfast was a big disappointment They advertised free breakfast, so I expected more than coffee, juice, pre-packaged danish and a few bananas (see picture) The manager said they have a dining room but it’s been closed since COVID In Houston, we’re way past COVID shutdowns in April 2022 so I think they’re just being cheapOther guests who appeared to be mostly contractors were milling about, smoking and eating outside in the evenings One truck parked outside a room appeared to have two people sleeping in it The guy got out and peed right next to the truck! In the morning, it looked like they were going in and out of a room, maybe to shower or something My daughter and I didn’t feel really unsafe, just uncomfortableIt was very well-priced, but I would not stay again

Recently stayed here overnight and was very pleased with our stay The front office staff were extremely professional and friendly, and made us feel right at home The colors and decor of the rooms are vibrant and semi-modern, and not are typical for what you would see at other America’s Best Value Inn locations which was nice

Overall, the stay was great and we enjoyed it very much The hotel is also within close proximity to restaurants and convenience stores The only issues we had are noted below, and only concern room maintenance The room itself was actually very cleanMaintenance Notes:*Air conditioner (split-type) air filters were extremely dirty Only checked them because we started sneezing within 30 minutes of entering the room, and there didn’t look to be any dust present on the furniture, but the AC was on These could easily be cleaned and dried by housekeeping in 3-4 minutes, when they make their rounds*Bathroom door will not latch and stay closed (204)

I’m shopping around for the perfect place to stay and Gabriel answered the phone and after five other calls trying to find the right place to stay for a great BREAKFAST before I have to drive back home that morning Gabriel was straight up honest and made me feel good about this place The other places I’ve called them people beat around the bush but Gabriel really gave it to me straight

Great job

I made a reservation over a month ago for my family to stay tonight (7/31/21->8/1/21) at this hotel, but arrived to find that it’s closed and boarded up When I called Choice Hotels, they said they had canceled the reservation (but never informed us) We’re now on the hook for a room at a nearby Comfort Suites for half again as much

Amazingly, I can still book a room at the closed hotel for tomorrow night through choicehotelscom Choice Hotels is utterly irresponsible and couldn’t care less

The pictures online showed a double queen room with an actual tub in the room I didn’t need all that but was willing to settle for that because I wanted a decent hotel that was clean and non smoking we stayed the night before down the road in a smaller room that was quaint, clean and Way more updated, but was full for a second nights stay

When we arrived, this hotel had ceiling tiles on the floor, in the lobby, the elevator walls were nasty, the floor in our room tiles were separating as if there had been an earthquake We immediately heard our neighbors conversation through the walls, and had to walk up hill to get to the bed The curtain was falling down and the closet was not quite fitted so the door didn’t close completely All of this was topped off the next morning when we went to check out, my husband grabbed the door and the handle came off in his hand, When we expressed our displeasure at all the shortcomings of our night the clerk made no offer to correct anything except to say, oh so sorry about that Seriously, what happened to customer service Stay away from here folks, were lucky we got out
