The good – Easy to find, they let us check in early, professional employees, super comfy bed, clean pool, quiet, and the breakfast bar is very goodThe bad – The key cards hardly ever worked (had to try like 30 times alternating cards it was infuriating every time we opened the door) and the other guests we knew had same issue Also, there was splatters of stuff on some of the walls that kind of led me to believe that they probably could have been just wiped off but they hadn’t been and the shower when you turn it on water was spraying every direction from a leak in the hose connection

The fold out bed mattress was really worn out and uncomfortable and there was some pretty disgusting stuff on it that we had to remove

The service was really poor and the furniture in the room was in bad shape (dresser drawers didn’t open without hitting a warped dresser door, chipped) When we went to check in, we were met with a sigh/grunt and a dirty look I said, that’s a strange way to greet customers

The employee, said “I don’t know if you’re room is ready yet, it’s only 2:00pm and I normally work the late shift”We ended up asking if we could have a different room because the dresser didn’t work and we were going to be there for several days The same receptionist said she’d “go and check with the girl” and never came back After 20 minutes, I found another employee who said they were calling the GM Four hours later, I asked if they spoke to the GM and she said, “I’ll go call now, we’ve been busy” The next day, I asked another employee to speak to the GM to report how poorly and disrespectfully we were treated and left for a call She never called We asked for our room to be cleaned and it was not Overall, the service was very bad and this affected our stay

Avoid this place The receptionists were grumpy and not welcoming at all The room I paid $140 for one night was noisy (next to the hotel side door) smells like a hospital (I guess from the cleaning detergent they use) The furniture were falling apart (some pictures included) and they were so cheap with the shampoo (a one tiny bottle not enough to wash your face)

One of the TV wasn’t working and both phones were disconnected (I had to walk to the reception to ask for two extra blankets and they said they only have one! so I had to give one of my blankets to my child All in all it was an awful experience and I felt like I should ask for my money back

Normally I like to give people and places the benefit of the doubt so w that said hopefully this will help better evaluate your next lodging location and stay somewhere that will help feel more secure and comfortable! The only attribute that I was able to find in this place was the location and ease of access to the interstate and somewhat of the local area- although there are better! The room wasn’t cleaned properly and the parking lot area is very dark It almost seems dangerous to a extent especially when you read the large signs posted by the hotel that they’re not responsible for any theft I know most places have this policy but they also usually have better lighting and parking options available

It was also a last minute pick so in regards to the prices it’s not as bad as other places I’ve been or seen during my travels It still wasn’t worth the money or the time and efforts that anyone, myself included, could have picked to stop and stay If I had known that I’d be worried about my safety and belongings all night I’d have been more than happy to pay extra for simple peace of mind altogether If you’re traveling or just in the general areas my advice would be to keep looking and don’t stay anywhere that you’re going to not be able to enjoy the rest stop in general rather than being on high alerts the entire time I hope that the company will be able to fix these issues w this particular location bc sometimes it’s truly an unknown issue and I really do hope that this is the case here Stay safe and enjoy your travels!!!

Let me inform you that this hotel lied to us, when we booked we asked about our service dog and they said no problem that they are delighted to accept service animals But when we arrived after a 4 1/2 hour drive to see a dying family member who got put into Hospice with last hours cancer, they informed us that they don’t accept service animals and even refused to give us a refund, after a period of argument conversation the women finally called the manager He said that they would refund us and gave us a paper saying so

But when we got back home we were informed by the bank that they took the money out of our bank account and now we have to fight on to get our money back into our account I wouldn’t even give a single star but the people out there needs to know about this so they are not put out in a very hard situation in a very bad time in their lives I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, at any time

It was a nice motel Rooms were nice and beds comfortable Had to cancel our reservation in Alma cause they didn’t have a pool

Pool was very nice 2nd shift was very sweet and accommodating Always asking if we needed anything But Liz on dayshift was anything but nice First of all we are 2 women age 63 trying to make a nice birthday weekend for my youngest grand-daughter The kids were 1,3,4, and 9 staying with us There isn’t a latch u can put in the door to keep it from shutting all the way Yup u got it we got locked out Not just once, but 3 times that morning Well the 3rd time we had to go down to the front desk to get a key to our room, the lady told us she was too busy to make us a key We told her we were locked out of our room with 3 young babies an still she said she had laundry to do an was too busy! Our dtr came down an asked her for a key an finally she made a key Then the maintenance man said “but this is the last time”! My twin was very hurt by their rudeness an wanted to check out an find another motel But it was after 1 an I told her we wouldn’t get a refund It took awhile but we calmed her down The motel was great But if Liz is still working there we won’t be back

I travel sometimes as many as 5 days a week for work For the longest time Best Western was my choice of hotels Prior to this day all the Best Westerns I’ve stayed at have been pleasant, clean, quiet and have treated me well

Now I will admit this hotel was pleasant clean and quiet We have a business account that we use for our hotel stays but we are often asked to use a personal card for incidentals After I checked out of the hotel I noticed that I had pending charges on my personal card for every day that I stayed there so I called the hotel and inquired and was met with a rude front desk employee who told me to call back when my charges post to dispute them since they were just pending I advised her that I wanted to prevent them from pending even though the pending charges being held from my bank I was trying to inquire as to why my personal account was being charged as well as my business account the lady at the front desk could not provide me answers but instead referred me to a manager who she stated was not working that day I never got a call from the manager I had to go through corporate who advised that all the Best Westerns are independently owned Corporate contact at the hotel and advised that they needed to get in contact with me and the hotel manager left a message with corporate stating that they tried but they got a voicemail that was not set up I asked corporate to confirm with the hotel what number they had and the hotel admitted that the number that they called was my business account customer service not my actual phone to this day I have not had a phone call an apology or an explanation from the hotel They did finally reverse the charges but only after my money was held hostage for a week My call originally was just simply to inquire why my personal card was being charged to which nobody could offer an explanation or even have the decency to call me back with an explanation I get that mistakes happen, but when nobody will call you back you begin to think that this was done nefariously instead of accidentally At any rate this Best Western has now made me a la Quinta fan as to now that’s my new hotel choice A simple phone call with an explanation and an apology could have resolved this whole issue but instead of the hotel chose to not own up to their mistake and either try and cover it up or just simply avoid the problem altogether and for that reason I cannot trust Best Western hotels anymore even though I know they are all independently owned this Best Western hardworking Best Westerns

A far stretch and transformation from the former “aspen inn” that kept his seat warm, the best western not only replaced And older, dim, outdated motel, it made several improvementsThe lobby is much brighter and more modern, the rooms while assumingely similar in size take on a much more spacious appearance, and if I’ve said it once I’ll say it…… You know…… a little landscaping goes a long way

The only thing preventing this property from receiving a five star rating in my eyes is just the fact that they don’t strive for anything more than mediocrity Sure the property is clean and nice, the staff are kind, the breakfast seems fresh, but nothing erupts with that above and beyond customer service moment that so many businesses need in order to stand apart these daysAll in all if you’re looking for a newer hotel, that offers clean facilities at a fair value, and you stumble across vacancies at this property Assuming nothing has changed, you can comfortably proceed with your stay herePS I took the Google cover photo

Hannah Zieschang

My husband and I booked this hotel for Valentine’s Day 2022, and we chose the room with the whirlpool tub We usually stay at the Hampton Inn and book their tub, but we wanted to see what Best Western had to offer They didn’t post a picture of the tub online which was odd, but we carried on

If you are early, they will charge you a $35 feeThe whirlpool tub was only FOR ONE PERSON, but it was dirty, even after we waited for an hour for housekeeping to clean the roomThe sheets were clean but had odd old stains on themThe TV is outdated with no way to connect to any streaming programsI wanted to walk out of this hotel, but we chose it so we could both have drinks at Outback and walk backThe experience was awful I will never book a room with Best Western again

The shower is a slip and fall waiting to happen With uneven shower pans And no anti slip material I would suggest not staying at this location

I informed the management in the morning of this problem which they had no concern The 2 young girls working in the front desk were very unprofessional And poorly trained The breakfast food is poorly served and undercooked Which is a health issue Stay at your own risk and I hope you have a good lawyer in case anything happens

After staying at the Marriott residence inn one night, we checked out and moved to this hotel The Marriott is old, moldy, poorly maintained with no working pool Homewood was great

Nice, clean, accommodating You can walk to convenience store or harps grocery also There’s a nice green area in the back, and the road to the airport made for a nice walk It was good and will stay again as we frequently travel to Fort Smith

I know the attached photo is not your typical hotel shot, but after my HUNDREDS of hotel nights over 20 years, I was pleasantly surprised during this stay: my room had a real, functional ceiling fan! I slept like a baby! The room was clean, properly stocked, supplied with kitchen pots and pans, and reasonably priced I spent the night before in another hotel in town then unexpectedly had to stay another night, so choose this location I really, really enjoyed my single night here

I’ll definitely return next time I have to stay in Fort Smith on business

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at the reviews on this motel 6 So when I needed a inexpensive room for the night I decided to give it a try So glad I did

The lady at the desk was friendly when I checked in I walked in and there was no odd odors in the room! The room was clean and tidy This is just what I look for in a motel room A comfortable place to sleep, hot water, clean towels, no funky odors or stains, etc This place hit all those check marks It looks like it has been recently remodeled and well done at that I wish more motel 6s were like this!

We loved our stay in the Frontier Room We were passing through the area so didn’t have long to explore but wish we had more time to stay here The Inn is well situated in Fort Smith, not far from I-40 and close enough to explore the downtown area

The room was clean and we loved the coffee in the morning before breakfast as we packed for the road The hosts are very nice and personable Very knowledgeable about the area and easy to talk to We enjoyed breakfast; fruit followed by eggs with herbs from the garden and bacon and homemade muffins We recommend staying here if you have the opportunity Thank you for sharing your home with us!

I paid for my room online through a veterans service because I was traveling from out of state and the pictures looked okay I paid 65 dollars just to find out when I arrived the actual rate was 45 I found myself and two young boys in a room with zero charger outlets near the bed

The bed covers were disgusting and seemed like they haven’t been washed in a month There were mouse droppings all around the room I told the staff and they gave me traps instead of a refund or offering to switch rooms I got zero sleep I caught a total of three mice that night The bathtub was in complete disrepair It was peeling so badly you’d cut your foot if standing in it from the fiberglass showing (If that’s what their made of anyway) I would say this is the worst motel I have ever stayed in My chu in Iraq was a more comfortable stay than this was and that’s saying a lot I contacted for a refund on my way out the door and the attendant said they’ll try So I contacted the company that I paid through and they said that because the motel didn’t log my complaints they will not refund me Well here is my log I want my refund This hotel should not be in business I will be contacting the better business bureaus and my business partners in the area about this motel Listen unless you have no other option at all don’t stay at this hotel Your better off sleeping in your car for the night

My girlfriend and I have been renting from river valley inn and suites for past couple months, because I live out of town It’s cheap is the reason we go there, but it has bad animal odor, but they say your not supposed to have animals there, but I hear animals all the time Our room key don’t work all the time, so you having to go to front desk and get it reactivated again

I don’t like the 100 dollar deposit, because they can use any reason to keep it when you check out The reason I’m writing this review is not about the stuff I have wrote thus far, it get worse than that My girlfriend and I rented a room this past weekend from July 1-4, and my girlfriend and I left our room, and someone whether it was housekeeping or maintenance or people from front desk went in our room and went thru our things and stole clothes and under garments, and I reported it to the manager, but she acted like we were lying I’m not telling anyone of you guys to not rent there, cause it’s cheap, and you go where you can afford, but I’m giving you guys a stern warning I repeat a stern warning, if you leave your room, when you come back pay attention to your belongings, and don’t leave any valuables, because they will steal them, I’m thankful we didn’t leave any jewelry or money behind or they would have taken it too!!!!

Ross Sammons

I hope the owner responds to this Let’s start off with how dirty your smoking rooms are there is drywall all over the floors The owner lady I talked to on the phone decided that a loose toilet seat was a $20 deduction out of my deposit

From a toilet that just kept flushing all night $20 come on now When I called to talk to her and asked to if there was a manager she said she was I said okay a corporate office she said they weren’t corporate So I asked to speak to the owner and she said she was and there was nothing she could do so I laughed and she said bye and immediately hung up on me without me trying to figure out what happened Don’t stay here oh and by the way your sign on your front desk that says no pets and this includes service animals is illegal I will be reporting this business to the BBB

I have no idea why this has a 4 star hotel rating I booked this hotel as it was rated as a 4-star and the price was better than I could have gotten with my Hilton diamond price I travel for work and cover 5 states in the south central region of the US

Unfortunately, if it looks too good to be true then it probably isFirst the good: the staff was amazingly friendly and got me checked in quickly The aesthetics are appealing from the lobby and it smelled ok down thereNow the bad: the 4th floor room smells like my freshman dorm room in Miami Musty and full of a mildew smell that I haven’t gotten used to 3 hours into this stay There are mold stains on the ceiling and a wet stain in the closet on the ceiling One of the beds has an odd yellow brown streak on the comforter, I bring my own sheets and such for this very reason and will be sleeping on the other bed The table next to the chair looks like it was picked up from the local thrift store and has pieces missing The interior of both bathroom and hallway doors are dirty as well I’ve only stayed in one place as bad as this and won’t be returning I’m really debating paying for a room at an alternative hotel out of my own pocket because the smell is that bad

Stayed for a night while in town for business Checkin was great Rooms were clean

AC and elevators went out while we were at dinner Came back and had to climb 6 flights of stairs And ended up in a hot room Sometime during the night power was restored to AC and elevators Was to hard to sleep and a hard bed added to the discomfort I will try another place next visit to town

This was our tenth night at a Choice Hotel within the last month, as we traveled from Florida to Washington and back This Comfort Inn was the only hotel I have given 5 stars This place was immaculate – lobby, hallway carpet, breakfast room, clean windows, our room, the shower, and large refrigerator

I was impressed to see the mechanism for assisting physically challenged people into the pool None of the last nine hotels had one I’m glad this hotel was nice It helped restore my attitude towards the Choice Hotel chain (Side note – we canceled reservations at the Tupelo, MS Comfort Inn because of bad reviews Sad to say, but reviews can make or break a place)

There was a grass fire burning locally which made the air outside and inside the hotel a bit smoky, but we had a good nights rest that was uninterrupted Breakfast was plentiful, just like in the days before covid! There was a Fridays right across the street that delivered our dinner to us in our room It was delicious!

The rooms are spacious and spotless Incredible stay Incredible staff The Roddy family can’t thank you enough for all the hospitality during our stay

We have stayed here multiple times The staff is always great and very accommodating We have two small dogs that we bring with us

The only reason I cannot give this hotel a 5 is because there are several rooms that need maintenance, mostly in the bathrooms The beds are pretty comfortable and the linens are always clean We stay in king window suites usually and they have a nice sofa/ottoman along with a desk and desk chair BTW, there are no microwave ovens in your room so plan accordingly

The staff was Awesome! To say I travel often is an understatement, and I have stayed at many different hotels, but I can honestly say that this hotel from the moment I walked in made me feel like family! The young lady at the front desk Kerensa was very helpful and welcomed me with a wonderful hello and a smile, which makes a world of difference to me! This young lady went out of her way to explain everything to me, and telling me about some of the local attractions that were around! Made me feel like family!I have been here for two day so far and I’m staying for 25 more because of business but I can honestly say that everyone here treats me like they have known me foreverThe hotel is wonderful the staff from the hostess to the nice ladies at the bar and kitchen as well as housekeeping go above and beyond! All I can say if you are needing a place to call home for a night, week or 27 days The Courtyard in Fort Smith is the place you need to be! I know that this will be the place I will return to whenever I’m in the area!Marriott should use this hotel as an example setter for all other because this staff and hotel is special!

Attended a meeting here for a couple of days I didn’t stay at the hotel so I can’t say anything about the rooms They served a buffet lunch the first day which featured the typical ‘seminar’ chicken or beef, salad, a pasta station, etc

Parking was ample And it’s basically across the street from the jail so, there’s that Overall it was fine
