Staff stole my brand new work laptop out of my roomWill not stay again, will never recommendUpdate: Excuse me? It “may” have happened? It happened, thank you very much

I filed a police report and contacted Marriot’s “internal investigations” I was supposed to receive a call back in 5-7 business days and never didManagement was “notified” the day it was stolen Please “notify” management the laptop was miraculously recovered

This location seems nice, but has a lot of issues once you’ve settled in a bit The beds are caved in and lopsided The couch/pull out was broken, and half a foot lower on the left than the right

During our 4 night stay we never once saw housekeeping or a trash removal, however the entire 2 bedroom suite only had one extremely small trashcan We also made a point of making sure it was a full kitchen, only to find it was a kitchenette that was badly equiped at best Also for a suite that sleeps 4 to only have 2 chairs presents a bit of a challenge And the showers took exceptionally long to heat up, if they did at all Terrible value for your money

This is a badly mismanaged Marriott property First off, the “included” breakfast is inedible, unless you enjoy eggs with a plastic-like consistency and sausage one might expect at a county jail Salsa and tortillas are available but no cheese or sour cream

They have seemingly elected to use the cheapest ingredients wherever possible and it wasn’t worth eatingOne of the two elevators has been broken for a few days, which is a bummer when you’re staying on the 4th floor like we are on the opposite end of the hotel from the only working elevatorThe suites are set up so that the air conditioning control’s motion sensor is in the living area so the AC flips off about 15 minutes after going to bed This is frustrating when Portland is experiencing a heat domeWhile it is apparent the hardworking housekeeping staff is stretched thin (we tipped $5 each day fnor the 3 days our room got any attention), our room was in need of a deep clean The top of the fridge, microwave and cupboards had dirt and food crumbs from prior guests There were loads of dust bunnies under the bed and between the bed and nightstands We feel sorry for the housekeeping staffThe housekeeper accidentally took our Frette linen pillowcases (bought from the Marriott At Home store 🙂 from our pillows that we brought from home We have spent three days attempting to get them back and have received a lot of excuses and false assurances from management, including the general manager who’s getting ready to go on vacation tomorrowWe are paying top dollar for the room and we requested and were assured of daily housekeeping when we checked in for a 9-night stay and that lasted for all of about 3 days Our room hasn’t been touched since the third dayThere is an evening manager (he won’t answer the phone when we call) that we keep approaching with our displeasure and he gives a fake “I’m so sorry” line in a pedantic and whining manner, but he does not actually resolve any of the issues He doesn’t even pretend to care about us or our experience which is probably the worst partIf this property is short-staffed perhaps they should consider increasing what they’re paying to get more people — and train the guy working the night desk to actually solve problems and not make guests even more upset then they already areWe are LIFETIME Titanium Elite Bonvoy members and this is by far the most poorly managed Marriott property we’ve stayed at over the past 20 years We are so dissatisfied we are ending our stay early and moving to a different Marriott property We do expect reimbursement for our missing pillow cases if they can’t be located and returned to us

The house is comfortably appointed Bill is a wonderful host who is warm and friendly I’ve never seen a fireplace so stunning, such wonderful deco details or slept on a more comfortable mattress

The house made muffins and scones are divine Of you’re looking for something super fancy, this is probably not it But if you’re looking for something comfortable and welcoming book this place The neighborhood is well-appointed and there’s lots in walking distance or you can drive or Lyft to wherever pretty easily We loved our stay here

Paul Cuff

This will be the best, most interesting place you’ll ever stay in A little quirky, but with just 2 couples in the whole house, pretty relaxing and fun Bill is an amazing, caring person

He will do whatever it takes to make your stay awesome The neighborhood has so many little restaurants and shops We didn’t drive anywhere after parking in the driveway Many cool old houses to see on your walks

First I would like to say, I am the last to leave a bad review This was the worst stay The staff and managers were ‘naggy’ about absolutely everything

Including my 16 year old daughter grabbing water from the gym area without an adult Tactless in front of children Absolutely no guests at the pool No hospitality seen with multiple guest staying Disappointed all around

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, beautiful interior with free shuttle service Do make reservations as they seem to prefer having a set schedule While we were staying they were undergoing construction

Was not loud The inner water falls drown out much of the noise in the hotel Those of us who enjoy views and being a kid love the glass elevators The rooms are standard one bedroom and one living area Very comfortable Bathrooms are a bit different There is no place to hang more than one towel, but besides the minor design flaws it worked out well Beds are soft, yet firm and restful Food at the restaurant is excellent with a couple of veggie options Breakfast buffet is included and is excellent with an omelet bar Good 24 hr workout facility with a pool that stays open until 10pm

Ty Vollebregt

We have only stayed here once I don’t think I would stay anywhere else, this close to Portland airport We were going to be flying in around 2 am, so we called ahead to ask about the free airport shuttle that this hotel offers

Go figure, what they told me over the phone was exactly what we experienced We just had to call the front desk as soon as we were ready for the shuttle to pick us up and THE DRIVER WAS AT THE AIRPORT TO PICK US UP WITHIN 15 MINUTES Awesome amenity It took us a little bit to get checked in because the process is a little different with a reservation that checks in at ungodly hour’s like we did, but the front desk attendant was very efficient and communicated what she had to do on her end Beds were perfect, room was out dated but still cozy and quiet The breakfast finished by 9 am and we were the last ones through the made-to-order omelette line and still received amazing service The buffet still had plenty to choose from despite there were about to clean up When we called down to the front desk to ask for a late check out, she was able to see that we checked in so early this morning and gave us a complimentary extra late check out After that incredible gesture, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the PDX area They are going through some renovations, which is always a good sign with Hilton hotels, but it was to very little to no inconveniences

Nelson Family Farmstead

This hotel didn’t disappoint! We booked a large block of rooms for a sports team and their families to stay here and we’re super impressed Their communication from the start was amazing and booking was easy Each room had a nice couch that folds out to a bed, fridge, and microwave

Love that you have a separate bedroom that you can shut the door for privacy The Lobby is beautiful with a waterfall and koi pond They have a bar and a happy hour that gives you drink tickets when you check in! They also have snacks during their happy hour The Continental breakfast is AWESOME! Something for everyone, and omelettes made to order! All included in the price of your stay Best of all was the staff! So friendly, always smiling, and eager to help! We will for sure stay here again!

Had a great stay at the hotel, it’s nice to find a hotel that accommodates our family of six in a single room The night shift front desk was super kind and helpful, amazing Hotel was clean

Breakfast not bad, had eggs, meat, cereal, muffin/bread options Only concerning part were other guests not wearing their masks but we were able to keep our distance from them without issue

Theresa McFarlane

Front desk staff is great Free breakfast is a free breakfast Not the best I’ve had at a Holiday Inn Express

Pool and ho t tub are clean but very chlorinated You do not get room cleaning unless you request it the night before The first room we had did not have a functioning deadbolt The 2nd room we had was fine The third room had a wonky fridge that only froze with no way of adjusting it Good wifi and TV Quiet hotel Safe area Towels were ripped and threadbare Vending machines are empty They have DVD for rent for free and a DVD in the room When we arrived, rooms were very clean and smelled nice For $130/night I was expecting more service

Samuel Bowers

We were not too impressed with our stay, we rarely encountered helpful staff, the rooms were in disrepair, they had no device outlets on the bed stands so I had to pull back the end tables to charge our stuff The Ac unit was not adjustable and mold in the shower

cmon we laughed each time we passed the concierge desk becuase there was never anyone standing there lastly the breakfast was cheap, low grade food For $200+ a night I expected better quality Period We won’t ever probably book a holiday Inn again

This place grew on us While the nearby homeless issue was a turnoff, we quickly adjusted our attitude and came to look on the bright side (mind you–we live in LA and are accustomed to seeing people living on the street) Our room was clean and tidy

The gym/ fitness center is adequate, although two machines were inoperable The breakfast is above average There is a nearby Wal Mart where you can stock up on food/ supplies I would describe this as a working class hotel that won’t brake the bank

Chris Wilhelm

Only 1 desk agent and a long line of botched up reservations in front of me meant a 50 minute wait to get checked in and get my key Hotel is kind of dingy even though it was recently remodeled The immediately surrounding neighborhood is straight overrun with houseless individuals, and theft of everything from anywhere

The hotel employs security to patrol the parking lot so I feel vehicles are safer now than in the past On a previous stay the window of my coworkers truck was busted out and nothing was stolen because everything was brought inside, as one would do in this neighborhood

Jake Hubbard

Nothing negative to say about the cleaning staff, but the front desk and management are very toxic to their own employees and coworkers People have been fired from there for speaking up about it We do not recommend staying here, but if you do, make sure your cleaning staff is tipped directly and don’t let employee abuse you witness slide without reporting it to corporate or mentioning it in your own review

By far, the best Residence Inn I’ve stayed inIncredibly friendly staff, hard working housekeepers and breakfast personnelTowels available everytime I went to gym or pool

Gym does need to replace 1 treadmill that was out of service for monthsI was always greeted; well maintained property

ken erickson

We have stayed there twice this year It is close to things we need to do and having a kitchen area is great if you don’t want to go out to eat all the time They serve a GREAT FREE breakfast every day

Exercise room and pool are available There is even a gas firepit outside for evening conversation area, and they have BBQ grill available if you want to do some grilling This is our “go to” place to stay in the area

Tommy Pounds

We really like this hotel We stayed here a year ago for three weeks and loved it We went there again for a little staycation and now they charge $5 for parking, which they did not do last year

It is a Residence Inn parking lot Why would you charge for parking, add the price to hotel if you need to make more money The hotel is great and the staff are very nice, but charging for a surface parking lot where you are located is not a great business practice I could see charging if they could charge others for parking like a parking garage, but not a suburban hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights in April 2022 One of the best places that I have stayed in the past 25 years Rooms were exceptionally cleaned — made it so nice to just relax and enjoy a space that was very well maintained

People at check-in were very friendly and helpful – made me feel glad that I had reserved here Room was very quiet and bed was very comfortable — I slept like a rock! I was a little concerned when I found out that they allow pets, but I really looked and I could not find ANY pet hair in my room Also I have allergies so I would have known even if I couldn’t have seen it They must put the guests with pets in a different part of the hotel because I never saw any pets inside of the buildingI felt that this was an exceptional place to stay and if I am in the area again this will be my first choice of places to stay

Angela Lingle’Johnson (Angie)

My daughter & I have been in a horrible transition since getting Covid! This is by far the best place we have stayed at! The front desk staff is great! I mean super great! Always helpful & so friendly & caring & empathetic for sure when it comes to families and women with children It has a kitchen which is also great! & the rooms are super clean and so is the hotel & the neighborhood! Definitely feel safe I could go on about the great stuff at & about this hotel but I’ll leave it with a THANK YOU! And you guys won’t be disappointed!

I had the unfortunate experience of a flight changing its original schedule this past week Fortunately the airline put me up at this hotel I was picked up by their local shuttle and then met at the hotel counter by a wonderful and professional young woman

The check-in process was extremely pleasant and was able to get to my room quickly The room was small but very comfortable and clean The best part of my 12 hour stay was the amazing bed I travel enough to expect that most hotel beds will not be great, especially getting used to it on the first nights stay BUT this bed was by far one of the best in all my years of travel Thank you Candlewood for making my short stay very comfortable and restful

Dale Brill

Was looking for an extended stay hotel that felt like a “home away from home” during my extended business trip The accommodations along with the staff has fulfilled that need and continues to do so The spacious lobby is well maintained along with the laundry room

The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating I highly recommend this hotel to business travelers and vacationing travelers It’s close proximity to the airport is a plus!

Jennifer Smith

We had an unexpected stay here due to a cancelled flight The staff was amazing From my first call to checkout

They were so helpful and accommodating We were stuck at the airport and it was before check in time but they sent a shuttle right over to get us, let us know that we may have to wait a bit for the room but it didn’t end up being very long at all and they got us into our room One of my daughters has a service dog and some places make you feel super uncomfortable with that but these people did not Everything was very clean and inviting They were so sweet to all if us but especially my youngest who always has a ton of questions She especially was a big fan of their very comfortable beds and told them she would make sure I did a review specifically highlighting that feature Thank you so much for making a difficult situation so much better!

Picked because it was close to the airport The room we booked did not exist, despite being early We were given a king with a fold out couch instead, which was fine but they had no bedding for it

My kids used 4 single fitted sheets for blankets and stuffed animals for pillows I had to use the cover from the king bed for them The walls are thin, and I could hear constant thumping, talking, loud laughing and banging until 1am The shower faucet fell off and had to be screwed in Room was spacious and clean but the service is lacking We were told when checking in there was a shuttle every 20 minutes 24/7 We went down and were told all were full for another hour Very stressful at 5 in the morning Not knowing if you could get on a shuttle and might miss your flight is ridiculous, so for an airport hotel I was deeply unimpressed Breakfast only starts at 6, so we didnt get that either Not responsive to its main purpose

Tammy Tengs

I’m a Hilton Honors member so have stayed at many Hilton-brand hotels all over the place I chose this hotel because the HOME2 brand is newer, so I figured the hotel would be newer and nicer than others I was surprised that I had to pay $10 to park

Entryway had cigarette butts strewn all over, numerous couches outdoors with debris, dirty cushions, etc The clerk that checked me in forgot to mention basic things like the fact that the elevator was controlled with the card you use to get in your room, wifi password, breakfast time, etc The alarm in the room went off at 5:30 am when I wanted to sleep to 9 am, probably set by the last occupant Housekeeping really needs to make a habit of turning off alarms when cleaning rooms The room itself was very clean and nice and the bed was comfortable Also good black-out shades

Vanessa Auman

First time we experienced a home 2 suites that was disorganized, or lack of needs for the hotel Such as towels or pool towels This location had staff that as well lacked there duties

For example we stayed here for a week In that week time not once did someone go in there and clean up by fixing the chairs, making it look decent, there was hair residue in the hot tub, in the pool, there were multiple bandages on the floor near the pool and hot tub This place didn’t seem to understand covid is still in affect and they should be on top of thingsThis location is also in the same parking lot as two other hotels and does not show you that in any pictures They also have heavy traffic of near by homeless or people on drugs So Far the Home 2 suites in Bend is for most our favorite and on top of things no question Portland area and surrounding areas lack big time

Did not really require anything much for services but employees are friendly and attentive Check in Monday and out FridayWhat I LOVED about my stay is how quiet my room was

No light seeps into the room, did not hear anyone in hallways, to the left or right My room was on 3rd (top) floor I have never slept so well at any hotelConvenient to get around, close to freeway and quick drive back to airport 5 days 4 nightsWhat I wish they would do is remove all carpet Seems someone cooked in that room and you could tell there is a bit of residual smell when you open the door

Joe Ousley

Older property that has been updated The service was top notch The location provides easy acces to the airport and Hwy 205

The room was comfortable, though the doorway made a tight fit to get to the bathroom That detail was the only drawback in the room The full kitchen had a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, stove, and microwaveThe breakfast had good offerings I do wish the coffee set up were in a different location It is next to the Very Busy waffle maker This makes it difficult during busy times to simply refill a coffee cup A bigger selection of fresh fruit would have been nice as well The oatmeal was tasty and had a wide variety of toppings The staff was very attentive, and William went above and beyond to assist my 83 year old MotherI also recommend adding EV charging stations Overall a great stay

You ever go somewhere and feel right at home from the beginning to the end? Yes! That’s exactly how I felt The staff was amazing! Front desk always accommodated me really well! And the housekeepers never missed a beat! My room was always cleaned really well and smelled really fresh Everyone here was amazing, even maintenance! I swear he had the job of many and still managed to fix things in such a timely manner! This was by far the best hotel stay I have ever had

During Nurse’s week, the staff got each of the nurses staying in the hotel a little gift of appreciation! How thoughtful! & One night during my stay, I had to leave for the airport at 8 am and Stacy, the front desk, walked me out to my car because it was still dark and I was alone Just two of the many situations where their kindness and hospitality outshined Thank you Sonesta on 41st for being so amazing to us!

This is a cool place for the price It’s old and the gates are shaky The outlets aren’t updated with USB ports nor were there any to be found

The reason 5 stars is Nikki To beat the heat I got a room because of the pool I was able to lounge while my room was being ready Then when it was, Nikki came out to the pool with my room key and parking pass She was very friendly and above and beyond on accommodating meThe King suite I got is about the size of an apartment in Portland for $2500 It’s spacious and cozy at the same time I am a writer who lives beside noisy neighbors So I will likely retreat here on some weekendsCustomer service means more to me than newer amenities

Stayed here a few months for an internship The staff was incredible and always very helpful By the end of the summer we were on a first name basis with all the staff and felt right at home

Great place to stay for the short term or even just a few nights! I was able to cook in the kitchen for myself every night on the stove

We recently spent a night here in one of their Apartment Suites and my only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! I was expecting the suite to be like an extended stay with small kitchenette + two-seat counter setup but was blown away by the huge size and amenities of this suite! It was an actual 1-bedroom apartment with full kitchen, bedroom with a large walk-in closet, full size living room and dining room, and even its own laundry room! Every person I spoke to who worked there was extremely friendly and knowledgeable The hotel itself is very clean and nice It’s also centrally located to many eateries etc close by and conveniently between Portland and Vancouver

On top of all these great things, it’s pet friendly?! Amazing hotel at a reasonable price point We’ll definitely be back soon!

Honestly, this is the best place you can stay in Portland! The prices are reasonable The rooms are clean, modern, and updated The parking is free

It’s really close to I-5 so getting around Portland and Vancouver is super easy The free breakfast buffet is SO much better than any other free breakfast buffet They also offer an evening reception with drinks Best of all, the customer service is unmatched We always feel so special and taken care of when we stay here Everyone that works here is so helpful and friendly! It quickly feels like a home away from home I can’t recommend this place highly enough, and I will always stay here when I need a hotel in Portland

Not bad, not perfectGood for the money paidStaff is great! They are always smiling and helpful

AC in room is a kinda “oldschool” and very noisy It takes off like a Boeing 747 :)Not sure if all same in US hotels (I’m from Europe) but I always shut it down before going to bedLong story short, a nice and clean hotel to stay at all! Thanks!

Absolutely awful Stayed here because of an insurance claim Never again

First, they charged me the wrong amount for the security deposit ($350 instead of $100) When I brought this to their attention the front desk couldn’t cancel the transaction and my card was already in their card reader He claimed the transaction was “cancelled” and charged me AGAIN for the correct amount of $100 I look at my bank statement and both transactions were there After getting hotel management involved and after contesting the charge with my bank I was finally able to get a refund hours later That’s before we even got to our roomRoom was dirty Dirt caked in the corners of the ceiling Upstairs toilet clogged constantly Upstairs bathroom shower hardly drained Loud, obnoxious screaming from guests throughout all hours Pool was slimey The room service doesn’t pick up the trash for days Parking is awful, as half the spots are for compacts so if you have a full sized car good luck Shampoo containers in the shower were never refilled
