I was having trouble finding a hotel that would accommodate an early morning meeting I would be having via Zoom I was traveling with my family and didn’t want to wake them up by taking it in my room After looking into multiple hotels in the area, this was the first one that told me I could use a conference room without any issues even though it would be just myself using the room

The staff was super helpful (dealt with multiple staff members) and friendly the entire stayThe beds are comfortable and the rooms are “roomy” 😁 The only semi-issue I had was that the room wasn’t completely clean, but it was clean enough

Brandon Ford

The rooms were small, but super clean and well kept The location is PERFECT and there are very many good restaurants, bars, freeways, coffee shops, places to shop, etc

in the area The staff was super accommodating and said “hello” or “good morning” whenever you went bye They had drinks, snacks, and beer available for you downstairs Had a good breakfast and coffee in the morning Nice lounge area to chill if you needed to be out of your room or a place to eat your own food TV’s were accessible as well I wish they would return to regular room service Scheduling I’m advance can be a pain, but it’s easy to work with them on that

This was my second visit booked a room for 5 days as I was a guest here In August 2021 for about 4 days Things changed a bit and mostly had to do with my allergies to dogs I felt like perhaps they should have a separate area are floor for dogs Management showed some understanding but besides the dogs I felt that the hotel could use some sprucing my carpet was stained and the Aggie of the property was beginning to show

The bed was comfy and staff was friendly Location was good because you could walk to Metro!

We had a great stay here The loft suite was super cool The hotel is quiet and has the feel of an apartment complex

The area is pretty safe and close to fun things in ArcadiaThe breakfast buffet had tons of options and good coffee Every staff member we encountered here was very friendly and focused on a pleasant experience We had no issues

I got a ground floor room & the thing I didn’t like was I could hear the people talking outside & footsteps from the top floor as they were getting to leave But it’s clean Room is spacious with comfortable bed, but TV was a little smaller

Breakfast is good, but they ran out fast & didn’t replenish it as quickly Staff was helpful, friendly & accommodating Area was convenient & accessible to a lot of eateries

Stayed here on a Friday night for one night only and that’s probably a good thing For a Marriott brand hotel, I was pretty disappointed I have a high level Bonvoy Marriott level and this is the first hotel to deny a complimentary upgrade

Not a huge deal as I was only staying one night The room is mediocre for Marriott The walls were splattered with stains, cabinetry was worn down to the wood, a couple recessed lights were partially hanging out of the ceiling, the exterior door didn’t shut very well, couch looked well used, and some of the lights didn’t work Breakfast was your typical continental I did like that everything, including the hot items, were individually wrapped I hate seeing other people grab at the serving spoons only to have it fall into the bacon! However, the packaged food had a bit of that packaged wrapped taste that you get when you eat an instant microwaved burrito Overall, still better than a typical Wyndham brand hotel but definitely not up to Marriott standards

Once your expectations are set that it’s a budget motel, you’ll notice that everything works wellReception staff are friendly and helpful, they were very cooperative whenever neededPlenty of parking spaces in the area and it felt safe

Room is cleaned daily and is bigger than your average hotel room, so it’s comfortable Wifi is decent, there’s a laundry room and it costs around 4$ per load (washing, detergent, one cycle drying)Plenty of shops within walking distance, that’s a big plus and restaurants too i had a room in the corner so noise was never an issueBathroom and shower are separate from the sink area, but not an issue for me, plenty of towels and shampoo/shower gel if needed

Marsha King

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in If I could give it a zero I would There were mosquitoes all over the room I killed several of them and thought I had gotten them all When I left the hotel the next day there were mosquito bites all over my legs and ankles

When I entered the room the room smelled like mold I could not get hot water in the shower for almost 30 minutes I had to call the manager to come to the room and help I thought about sleeping in my car It was awful I’ll never stay there again not worth it Bugs, Old furniture, old bedspreads, towels, and sheets, smelled awful, not worth it Stay somewhere else!

Jianna Kellems

I have stayed here a couple of times The rooms are fine, though I find the queen beds too soft The location is great and the price is reasonable

Normally very clean and no cause for concern However, when we stayed here this past week, my husband and I woke up with bites all over our legs This is the first time we’ve stayed on the first floor, so maybe that is why, but they definitely seem to have some sort of pest problem now

I came to LA for a 2 week holiday with my girlfriend We shopped around for a hotel to stay This place caught my eye with only a few bad reviews

And wow it lives up to expectations The room we got looked like it could be at a luxury hotel, the check-in was timely and very welcoming The only thing that tripped them up was the pin number but very minor issueThe manager ws always around and whenever we rung to ask them something they answered promptly and professionallyAs a kiwi I was unaware I had to request room service but the manager called and explained how it works They also work into whatever time of the day suits10/10 would stay here again and also recommend it to others

8-day stay during July 4th, 2022 long weekend & high season for summer travel: I would definitely stay here again; this is probably my 7th time over the last few years staying hereI did not plan to stay at any hotel I planned to stay at a friend‘s home but there was a terrible plumbing issue that affected the electricity issue and even my friend had to find somewhere else to stay

So at the last minute I was looking for a place to stay for eight consecutive days I had some Airbnb options; however, since I had favorable experiences with Friendly Hills Inn in the past I thought maybe I would get lucky to find eight consecutive days where I could get to stay in the same room without having to move aroundThe front desk staff was very helpful in assisting me to get what I wanted and they honored the military rate which I really appreciated I do feel safe at this hotel, Friendly Hills Inn in Whittier, CA It’s easy to get into and out of and the rooms themselves are very comfortableI like the different lighting options even though I do bring my own nightlight for the bathroom sink area The air conditioner works very nicely and in a quiet manner There’s a microwave, a medium-sized mini fridge as well as a small coffee maker The hotel room is modern contemporary and there’s a variety of softer and harder pillows so depending on if you want to sit up in bed against the bed frame or lay down you have options I like that the light switch to turn off the main lights and the lamp is right next to the bedAmenities about nearby including restaurants shopping etc there are delicious made-from-scratch soups at the “California Grill Restaurant”, and I did enjoy Huevos a la Mexicana at “Mr Giants”Discovered a great store called Upscale Collectibles on Greenleaf; a wonderful collection of gently used furniture, jewelry, books, clothing, shoes, dish ware, linens and more Great people work thereSo I will definitely stay here again at Friendly Hills Inn in Whittier, CA Again I had the option to stay at an Airbnb which I had booked just in case this hotel wasn’t available for eight consecutive days but having both options available, Friendly Hills Inn and the Airbnb, I decided to choose Friendly Hills Inn and that’s a win-win for both myself as well as the good people who run it The owners are quite nice and professional I will definitely stay here again Thank you Friendly Hills Inn! Susie 🙂👍🏻

Britainy Leigh

The pics they have posted on Priceline look way better than the rooms actually are, which was disappointing But they price is affordable, and they don’t require any deposit if you pay with credit card The water pressure sucks, and then I was woken up by the workers pounding next door!! Which really sucked

They should have told us that there would be loud noise early morning!? And I wouldn’t have stayed

Overall the rooms are clean There are no safes in the room which is a little disappointingThey have a small laundry facility if you need to clean your clothes – it is coin operated

You can also get detergent at the front desk The laundry machines were very dirty I don’t think the rubber seal had been cleaned out for a long time My clothes had a slight musty and moldy smell after washing them

Lin Simon

They only provided ONE key card with a room for 3 guests and rejected to give additional one for convenience This is the first time I saw from Marriott hotels The front desk at night was not hospitable at all

The room is small with a fridge and microwave next to a bed The jacuzzi is fine I don’t think I’ll come back this one in LA in the future

M

Stay away! We were there approximately 30 to 45 minutes and someone broke into our vehicle and stole all of our belongings Security and two other workers were inside and outside walking around when we arrived and checked in After the break in every one disappeared

We are very suspicious it was an inside job The front desk clerk was very unconcerned, and his attitude was like oh well when we reported the break in We have yet to hear from management or anyone else

Spring Hill Suites by Marriott was a great stay for us We stayed here for one night and it was quite pleasant The suite was huge and had all the amenities we needed in the room (a microwave and compact fridge)

The bed was firm but soft The restroom was clean and bright The sitting area was comfortable, roomy and rather relaxing There was even a desk area for us to put our laptops and do a little work that evening On the opposite wall of the desk is a little coutertop space that we used for the snacks we had with us However, the best perk about this stay was the hot breakfast they offered the next morning Everything from make your own waffles, to scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, toast, cereal, warm muffins, sausage links, apple and orange juices, cow milk, and coffee as well as an assortment of fresh fruits and yogurt I will definetly be back to this establishment when I’m in the area and need a clean, quite place to lay my headOnly issue I had here was that that didn’t offer almond milk Can’t satisfy all the people all the timeright!?

Albert Wu

There’s probably a staff shortage We checked in at around 9:30pm There was nobody at the front desk

Waited for about five minutes to get help The hotel remodeling seemed to have finished While most furnishing looks new, the bathtub is old with much stain and scratches The building structure might be too old Can hear every step of residence the floor above When the resident above rolls luggage on floor, it sounds like a truck is running aboveBreakfast is good

Ro Herms

Stayed here for a week in Spring 2022 The property was undergoing a remodel I was in a room that had just been finished

While everything was “new” the plumber had messed up the water pipes in the shower, so cold was hot and hot was cold After getting past that snafu, the place was decent Its not the easiest to get to from the interstate, but it can be done Its quite enough given its location next to the metro and interstate Breakfast was hot and good, and the cookies fresh in the evening Staff was friendly and courteous Housekeeping was up to snuff

The hotel looked clean but it didn’t feel clean As soon as I got to my room I wiped down the restroom counter and night stands with a disinfecting wipe and it was extremely dirty The small cushion couch in there had so many mystery stains

The restroom didn’t have a working air vent, and the bathtub had hair The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows

Sam “CaliSpaßvogel”

Stayed there in Sept 2021 It’s a very dated and disgusting place I stayed 7 days, not once did the staff clean my room or took out the trash

The bathroom was falling apart, shower curtain seemed to be years old The staff never greeted me, smile at me or ask how was my stay, I’m a platinum IHG memberLet’s just say the entire building needs to be gutted and remodeledOnly good thing is it’s location Close to restaurants, shopping and the freewayI will forever avoid IHG locations in the Los Angeles area and will stick with Marriott

Giving it 25 :5 Average motel

Stayed two nights because of extremely high ratings which I am sure are false ratings Establishment obviously paid for false ratings or the had someone create an algorithm to give it false high ratings There is no other explanation for an average motel Bed and linens clean Room renovated Parking easy, free and safe Renovated shower nice However, forgot to pack slippers and my feet were extremely black from walking on extremely dirty wooden floors No pool, no fitness room, ice machine supposedly broken, no breakfast, no iron or ironing board in room and only three clothes hangers

Angie Pop

I was really looking forward to it as I saw the ratings of this hotel However, I do have some concerns The check in process was quick

As soon as I walked into my room, I got hit with a strong smell of cigarette Interesting because at the check in, he kept emphasizing it was a 100% non smoking hotel Then, I laid my items on the bed and saw burnt holes on the bed sheet clearly from cigarettes I’m pregnant, so I headed down to the office to inform him and possibly getting room switched I told him I was pregnant too and he denied the cigarette smell He said, “No, I had a Mexican band group stay and they promised me no smoke” What? Ok… well I responded, “Well, it still smells like it and I’m pregnant” I told him about the burnt holes on the bed sheet and he said don’t worry that the sheets are only decor What!? Anyways the best he gave me was an air freshener spray to take to the room Still very upset because the smell was strong and he did nothing about it especially when it’s a pregnant woman Just be warned

Joshua King

We submitted a credit card authorization form to book 4 rooms for our small team of guys working on a project in Irwindale Since that time we have had a lot of fraudulent charges on our card for Lyft, and several other charges which has created a lot of trouble for us Someone working there is very dishonest and needs to be removed

The stay was OK but not worth this trouble

Three stars because it’s neither a great place or bad place The rooms aren’t suites They’re studios

While I didn’t use them, there’s a 5-foot tall fridge, microwave, sink, dishes and cups, and even a dishwasher The furnishings seem straight out of an IKEA catalogThey offer a breakfast each morning On the first morning I went down and saw that they didn’t have eggs I feel like a breakfast should have eggs, bacon, sausage, breads/bagels for roasting, coffee, milk, and juice, and various breakfast cereals Their breakfast didn’t have eggs, bacon, or juice but did have oatmeal and breakfast wraps/burritos Of course they also had the usual sides like butter, jelly, cream cheese, etcThe staff I interacted with were helpful and courteousThe room wall and doors are thin, so you can hear people in the hall and in adjacent rooms more than in a more typical hotel Outdoor sounds of the street also penetrate the room, if the car is a little loudEverything seemed to be clean, but the keypad on the microwave was sticky, part of the reason I didn’t use itOverall, a 3, like I said In the future I’ll look for something a little more deserving of the Hilton name, thoughIt’s

Stephanie Acosta

We stay here any time we are visiting family This latest time was for our baby shower After a drive from Arizona I will say, we have always come to a pretty clean and nice room

The black out curtains are awesome and block out a lot of light which is great for sleepFor our last stay there, a little over a week ago, we had booked a handicap accessible room months in advance When we saw the option to check in on the app we noticed that the room we got was not accessible We called and they fixed it for us right away (The staff are always really nice)We got there and I immediately noticed some of the stuff in the room did not make sense for accessibility I use a wheelchair and could not use the bathroom mirror sitting in my wheelchair I had to stand to do my hair and it took a long time since I had to keep taking breaks The hand held shower head was helpful, but the wall mount it hangs on was somewhat high and was a little hard to work with I also had to ask the front desk for a shower chair, the site makes it looks like the room just comes with the chairwhen I did get to use it, I sat tilted at an angle because the chair didn’t fit in the tub rightMy only other issue was we had to be placed in a room that was “joined” by another room of people we did not know The door locked so it’s not like they could come in, but we heard EVERYTHING There was a kid playing with a ball on the shared wall for hours until late and then screaming for the next few hours until they fell asleep, around 11pm (I’m assuming) because their ball was taken away This isn’t the hotels fault, but the fact that we could hear it so clearly was very difficult since we couldn’t sleep and our baby shower was the next dayStill coming back but we might need to see if there’s an option for a no barrier room, so it’s easier for me to shower

Cynthia Corbett

Visited my dtr And family who stayed thereRooms are clean, staff is friendly and courteous

Breakfast is available which was just ok,not great Fresh coffee available There is a McDonald’s next door and other food eateries within a short distanceThere is an area for barbecue grilling, swimming pool I would recommend Home2 suites for a short stay

We had a great stay at this hotel, however there was a few things that made us not want to give It a full 5 stars The service was great and the rooms were clean However, the card access for the stairs did not work, several times, and since we had to park in the back due to lack

of parkin gout front this was the most convenient access door Not a huge inconvenience but I figured I would note it in the review Our room also had one small issue that was easily overlooked but may cause the hotel somewhat of an issue is that the shower head was shooting water at the ceiling from a bad connection I’m sure this has just been overlooked due to the fact that they don’t use the shower while cleaning it Other than that Great stay amazing hotel with a great location

Calvin Taylor

The hotel is about what you’d expect–no frills They clean every two weeks, you have to empty your own trash, and fetch your own TP The rooms are clean

The bath is too cramped to use as a bath tub, but it works fine as a shower The beds are hard and you need to supply your own blankets The staff is friendly enough There are some ants and spiders, but no more substantial fauna Were that all, it wouldn’t be a bad placeBut the place is a disaster in other respects The phone doesn’t work (that’s okay in this era of cell phones) The key cards keep loosing their charge What’s killing me this morning is the refrigerator works so poorly that my milk curdled after 3 days I was really looking forward to some milk in my cereal :(I wish I’d payed a little extra

Rowland Richard Schroeder

RUN RUN RUN away from this place We had reservations Checked in

NO ONE up front Had to stand and wait Got our keys Hallways smell like POT Room is DISGUSTING Dirty OLD Fridge, No CUPS NO ICE BUCKET – NOTHING TO USE IN KITCHENETTE Ugly walls – stains and peeling Bathroom BIG red STAIN looks like someone was killed in there Room SMELLS AWFUL – combination of pot and must and NBO We ended up checking out immediately EMPLOYEE did not care NO SORRY NO APOLOGY NOTHING It was like we inconvenienced her We ended up driving down the street and went to stay a NEWLY RENOVATED PROPERTY around corner that was cheaper and like a 5 star resort for MUCH CHEAPER and included breakfast Will NEVER Recommend this hotel or its chain or stay at another one again

It all started with large long black hairs all over rooms and all over pillows Glasses at restaurant have soap stains If you eat outside there are meat wasps that will ruin your food

My dog stepped on glass I called super upset for Neosporin The front desk didn’t even let me finish telling them the issue before routing me to a number that rang and rangRan out of towels and toilet paper twice in one week No room service on anything Spilled on my sheets so I took them outside came back 12 hours later and they took the sheets and cups but didn’t replace themThis place might be cool to drive a couple of balls but the hotel staff is super rude and not even close to hospitableThey literally shoes me away and while my dog was bleeding they accused me of stealing a gold club because I left it behind They made me feel unwelcome and I’ve had extremely better service at a comfort inn Terribly over price and the rooms are outdated

Breanna Meyer

Very disappointed in this place All this place has going for them is it’s pretty They didn’t have room cleaning each day which you don’t find out till you are in your room, they have a sign on the bed

They can’t even bring you fresh towels each day There was no microwave even motel 6 has that Ran out of toilet paper was only there for two days and was only in the room to sleep All hotels at least provide extra roll somewhere When I opened the bed I found some hair on the covers Pillow case had a stain Don’t recommend

Celeste Ramirez

I am not one to leave reviews but I saw way to many reviews saying similar things in regards to their stay and I experienced the same I wish I would have read them before booking my stayThe hotel is very outdated, the rooms are poorly maintained with tons of decaying

No housekeeping Refrigerators in the rooms do not work The Blow dryer was very old and almost dangerous to use as it would spark flame when turned on The toilets would also not flush right away, it took minutes to flush away (close to 10 min of that) The water from the shower would also take minutes to drain They must have some plumbing issues Poor quality and worn out/old bathroom towels Paint scheme/decor over 40 years old This place is NOT a resort or high end hotel and definitely not worth the price Avoid this place

Upon entering the room I was beyond relieved to find it pleasantly cool, especially because I’ve spent the day melting in the heat because my truck’s AC took a dive and had to go in for repairs The room was huge, and the privacy partition helped give it a cozy feeling instead of just a giant box with some furniture thrown in Also, plug and usb outlets EVERYWHERE

I only needed one plug since I just had my phone, but it definitely is a plus for families or groups who are all about having their tech on them without worry of fighting over who’s turn it is to charge The towels were clean and FULLY stocked, and although the shower pressure was a tad weaker than expected, it still was pleasant when winding down from the sweltering heat of the dayI definitely recommend staying here!!!Also Ivanna checked me in, and she was so kind and welcoming! It definitely made the experience here so much better!

It gets five stars simply because my room was soooo clean and felt like a studio and the hotel itself is very nicely decorated and clean However, the front desk with the exception of the pretty, thin girl she was PROFESSIONAL & WELCOMING when handling my reservation The other three front desk clerks weren’t nearly as welcoming and quite frankly “tight & dry” in their interaction and SHOULD take notes from the PRETTY, THIN GIRL!!! 😉

nonetheless, I WILL rent there AGAIN,I LOVE the feel and set up of the room

I just had to leave because of having surgery but I have to say this is the best place I’ve li4in since returning to Los Angeles 15 years ago The rooms are fully furnished and comfortablethey are the best studio type of apartments i have seen in LA

The rent is better than places not half as nice The weekly maid service is a bonus you won’t find anywhere else They laundry is cheaper than anywhere I’ve previously live The management i is outstanding in their treatment of tenants I’ve never felt more comfortable anyplace else I’ve lived It’s convenient to the freeway and between two great shopping areas as well as the library, senior center and other places to explore I’m hoping they will have a room for me after I recover from my surgery I can not give a higher recommendation for them than that I would rather live there than anyplace else in Los Angeles

Lets start Our room safe was non functional upon arrival, which was fixed by the maintenance guy later Our ironing board is was broken, which the staff replaced with a full sized one

The fire alarm ran out of batteries and started beeping around 2 am, when the maintenance guy had to come in our room and replace them In addition, there was a cockroach the crawled right into our room Would not recommend

We travel quite a lot and normally stay at Marriott properties We recently traveled to Los Angeles and stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Rosemead Our room and the entire hotel was extremely clean and very quiet

The staff were extremely helpful especially Irene who assisted with our check-out, Sergio who welcomed us upon our late arrival, and I believe Natasha who we called requesting a quiet room further from elevators and with a pool view as opposed to street view Everyone of these three were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming We would certainly stay here again when traveling to LA

Alicia Randolph

Stayed here to do somecollege visits Basically we slept here and ate the breakfast

Hotel was clean Staff was friendly and helpful Gym was clean and had water and towels Typical gym for hotel like this 4 cardio machines and some dumbells up to like 50 lb and a multipurpose bench The breakfast was decent There was enough there to get the job done My only complaint is the shower in our room sprayed water everywhere and I mean it hit almost every spot in that bathroom I was worried about us slipping on the floor so I covered the floor in towels Other than that no complaints

Lin Simon

The reception is responsive and welcoming However, the room is outdated No A/C controller

The TV is not smart one, so the picture quality is awful The jacuzzi seems to be broken It is very cold when night Daily parking is $10 And I don’t see any representatives coming here to respond to cutomers’ feedbacks So, very disapponted Only 1 star
