We stayed in room 204, which had two queen beds The room was basic but clean It was equipped with a tiny fridge and coffee maker

The hallway door had a gap at the bottom which allowed hall light into the room and hall noise But the major problem was an interior door which opened up into the adjoining room next door You could hear a pin drop through that door At midnightwe were sound asleepthe individuals staying in the room on the other side of the connecting door decided to have a lengthy conversation We could hear every word

While the hotel was clean and quiet There is a $5 parking charge and $995 “data service charge”, they do not tell you about

Also, even through the AC read that it was was 65 in the room it felt more like 78 and muggy Did not get comfortable sleep due to the room being so muggy When I google “data service charge” , it seems Marriott is the only one that pops up as charging this fee

I’ve stayed at this location before and it was fineRecently I was In Town for the Miranda Lambert concert When i went to the lobby to check in the man behind the counter acted like my being there was a nuisance

I paid a early check in fee because I arrived 15 hour early which was fine I also paid a parking fee which was new as I didn’t have to pay it when I was there a couple months earlier, but still I was fine paying itWhen we got to our room we unloaded our luggage and crashed in bed for a nap after driving for hours I went to use the restroom and the toilet seat had urine dried all over itI went back to let the front desk know and he just looked at me with an annoyed face and said he would send someone up to clean itnever apologized or anythingAfter waiting for 20 min no one showed up to clean the bathroom so I went back to the lobby to request a new roomI wouldn’t have even been upset about the situation if the customer service was betterOh and they no longer offer the continental breakfast like they did when I booked So the service went down and the fees went up

Greg Mullins

The best thing about this spot was the location 2 blocks from the venue, The golden one Arena The Room had a funk of urine we couldn’t quite place where it was

Thank God we were only there for one night, and when we got in the Room after the show it really didn’t matter The staff is extremely friendly and will go out of their way to help I think the only thing they need to improve on is the quality of their Room cleaning For the price and the location it was perfect for our needs

Josh Kimbrough

What can I say, you get what you pay for Definitely not the Hyatt but a nice place to stay I do have to say the room was clean, the Linens were clean, and it was a good place to rest our heads

It’s a short one block walk into Old Sacramento which was very convenient The staff is also very friendly and accommodating We did not eat the continental breakfast so I cannot give any feedback on that

My now deceased wife took us here for our 3rd date!! I know what she had in mind!! She was nailing down the relationship!!!! The ROOMS are very quaint and clean! The customer service was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable!!! This hidden gem is in an older part of the greater downtown Sacramento area and puts the guests in a strikingly beauty setting!! I have nothing but fond memories of this place! Make your own SOON!

Not my favorite place Our experience was NOT good Food was tasteless

Steak was so tough Plus they did not even have knives We used the butter knife Wait staff were not trained well Food fell on our clothes as plates were taken Vizcaya does not seem accommodating and was not well maintainedWe do not recommend this place You’ll get better service, accommodations, and food in other places

The Inn is in a great location, walking distance to lots of Midtown restaurants That’s about it Otherwise, everything was disappointing:- No hot water in the morning, despite trying several time and coming back to shower after breakfast- Really bad wifi- It’s a wedding venue and a lot of wedding set up commotion going on- Old building / rooms- Really strong smell of bleach

we had to leave our windows open for hours and the room still smelled at night

We arrived at 6:30 am with a reservation at another hotel Whereupon we were notified that we had to wait until 3 p To check in

On a lark and desperate to get my wife off the street I wandered into comfort suites on Jibboom st The lady informed us of the same 3pm policy but went ahead and booked us into a room right awaythe room was beautiful, clean just excellent We’ll stay there again

THE WORST PLACE!!! THE WORST RECEPTIONISTS!!! If you want to feel calm and rest DO NOT STAY HERE FULL OF HOMELESS, the hotel has a gate but it has an open space where anyone can enter the parking lot The front desk girls do not even greet you when you enter and they have a bad face

Dirty room smells bad It is not safe for families or anyone who wants to rest and feel safe RUN

What an amazing location, room, and so so clean! We stayed at indulge for two nights and I was in Awh over how beautiful this location, buildings, and our room was (Photos online don’t do this place justice) Staying in hotels is always scary to me, but wow was I pleased You walk in, smells and looks so clean

With covid, check in is done over the phone day of, and then you get a code for front door and also your roomThere is a decent amount of ring cameras everywhere to make you feel safe Great keurig and coffee in room and everything Definitely want to come back!

I stayed there with my boyfriend while visiting for a wedding There were awesome breakfasts every morning and the room was amazing and kept clean We even set up a couples massage one of the days and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had

Near the end of our stay my boyfriend became my fiancee He had them set up the room with rose petals and champagne The staff was so nice and when they saw us the following morning they all congratulated us

Jennifer Foreman

Came here for my birthday and stayed in the Villa King Suite on bottom with my man and two little ones It had a beautiful living room and kitchen with full kitchenette, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, table, oven, and kurig coffee machine with tea and Pete’s coffee The bedroom and bathroom with jet tub and shower were lovely

Oh yeah can’t forget the super plush robes available as well Lots of space for your belongings as well with a dresser and closet thst had a safe, iron and ironing board This suite is especially kid friendly and is the only one that can hold up to 4 guests There’s a park/playground across the street so perfect for if you are bringing children The sparkling champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were so tasty, the pull out couch was super comfy alongside a gas operated toasty fireplace TV was also available with subscriptions only though I’m pretty sure Overall though I really enjoyed my stay, and I hope to stay here again real soon In the same suite or even try a different one next time😊

The staff was beyond helpful and friendly! Our southwest flight was canceled and they helped many people on the flight They had a great shuttle with a very friendly and caring driver The room was okay

What turned me off was a chair that I feared had bodily fluids stained on it If they would have just retired that chair I would have felt better Additionally, there was a weird smell when the A/C unit turned off This was your typical two star hotel Good for a night, not for two

David Riggleman

Update: after claiming they would refund me a portion of my bill, they actually double charged me even more when I was reviewing my credit card statement and I had to call to get that correctedOriginal: There were many great things about my stay First, the free transportation from the airport was one of my reasons for choosing this hotel and that didn’t disappoint

Despite not having a driver when I got in around 2am, the hotel dispatched a taxi for me free of charge Second, the hotel was a decent value for the amenities like the free breakfast I also appreciated the checkout time was 12pm, later than what I’m used to Unfortunately, I have to knock off some stars because cleanliness is a key fundamental and there were multiple problems First, there was a small stain on the sheets, but more significantly what looked like blood stains on the curtains When I reported to management the next morning (I got in super late and just wanted to crash), they were very apologetic and gave me a discount on my stay However, it never should have got to that point to begin with if the rooms were properly inspected first

Braley B

My job booked this hotel for me to sleep since I’ve been on the road Everything was paid for but they still wanted me to put down a deposit Not understanding when my job paid for everything and this has never happened

I travel for work on the regular and the customer service was poorly The three men didn’t have no sense of sympathy and was brushing me off like I was actually homeless I even had my job call them and they were rude to them as well

I had my reservations about staying here because of the bad reviews That being said, I decided to stay here because my SO

Was having major surgery at UCD Med I have to say, and I have stayed in many hotels) this was one of the cleanest, best run hotels in my travel The staff was empathetic and I mean ALL the staff, to my needs, my fatigue, my stress, etcI felt like the people they served almost all had relatives who were in the hospital, and they were sensitive to their needs I will always remember their courteous, smiles, and the help they gave me either with accomodations, like extra pillows, or just conversation

1 Out of a 3 day stay, there was no room cleaning2

There was no soap or other complimentary items usually found in most hotels3 The hotel Starbucks employee made my drink incorrectly, but blamed me She said I never told her that I wanted my drink hot, she was correct because I asked for extra hot yet I got a cold drink

P David

This is really a hotel strictly for patients of UC Davis – SacramentoThe room had blood stains on the chair, was run down, and lacking amenitiesThe front desk was pleasant, but ultimately never delivered anything requested

Needed batteries for the remote, towels, etc, all things that should have been already in the roomHad to go to the desk ourselves to get themPrices on the rooms are ridiculous for what they are, if you have to pay for themNothing pleasant about the area at all

I recently stayed here for 10 nights for a business trip It was an okay experienceThe phone in my room was not connected so I had to go to the front desk whenever I needed anything

The walls were quite thin – I could often hear phones receiving texts in the neighboring rooms, someone else snoring, and some adult activitiesThe mattresses were thick, deep mattresses (maybe 12in thick) but the sheets on them were not for deep mattresses, so they popped off the edges about every time I movedThe AC in the room couldn’t keep up during the day even if I kept all the lights off and curtains closed I always came back from work to a room 4 or 5 degrees hotter than it was set There was also no option to keep the fan set to “always on” which I often do in hotels for white noise I actually don’t think I had ever been to a hotel before where this was not possibleThere was a sign in my room saying housekeeping was by request only However, housekeeping cleaned it anyway without a request which I did not like, especially since my room did not have a safeHowever, it is close to a lot of food, gas stations, and highway access There was always someone at the front desk to help, and they had a little selection of snacks you could buy It was clean and seemed well maintained

Samantha C

Standard 3 Star Hotel Room was clean and the bed comfortable Front Desk Staff Courteous and Efficient

The problem was randos hanging out in the parking lot – likely the reason for vehicle break insAlso, heard lot of partying in the halls throughout night, didn’t get any sleep Found out in the morning that these were just high school kids, so that’s fineOverall, good hotel, just needs some rule enforcement

Cynthia Garcia

Second time staying at this hotel and will continue to stay here in the future Location is great, the inside/lobby was clean Our room was also very clean and smelled clean

The employees were helpfully and very friendly I didn’t catch the front desk clerks name but she’s was very efficient and kind The breakfast is amazing, they have a huge variety of yummy options The cook in charge was very sweet I loved how clean and organized she was I wish I would have payed attention to their names It was a great experience 👍🏽

Nice, comfortable, spacious room Hotel was quiet Room was clean

Bed was comfortable Minor nitpicks: no microwave in the room, though there was one in the lobby Toilet was on the low and small, though it gave me a chance to work on my quads Breakfast was minimal, apparently because of COVID But they did offer bananas and mandarin oranges and an instant oatmeal bowl, granola bars, and a small packaged sweet roll

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel It was very clean and updated and the room was spacious I would only recommend each guest be informed of the housekeeping ‘only upon request the night before’ rule, as soon as they check-in

This will be more useful and less frustrating than having to call the front desk and ask why your room wasn’t cleaned IMO Also, a few more breakfast hot food options would be good as well (such as bacon, sausage, pancakes etc although the waffles were excellent and they even had sugar free syrup as an optionnice touch!) They have a small gym and a nice clean outdoor pool area with a grill for BBQing if that’s your desire Also, a covered outdoor smoking area and a security guard on duty in the evening/night parking lot, and since we arrived around mid-night, we really appreciated this touch and felt very safe Overall, I was very happy with our stay and would definitely come back

This place was great I had a long day of trave I try several other places before this one with No success the hotel was nasty, not in a good area are just plan oh to expensive

I called the Hilton number and we found this hotel which I didn’t know of at the time Should up check in and received excellent service The front desk clerks gave me a complimentary gift, meal suggestion and were to advise The room was very nice and clean the bed was comfortable too In all I am happy I got to stay at this hotel

We were in the area for a baseball tournament and decided to stay overnight and watch Rivercats game The hotel we usually stay at was booked and we found this one instead The hotel is a quick and safe walk from the stadium

The room was nice, the hotel and parking lot area was clean I was a little concerned because there looked to be some older motels next door and I was worried about the car Everything was great and our car was safe

They got good amount of varieties in breakfast , so clean and tidy lobby place , computer dear for guests Floors are best with laundry , gym and parking is really good tooWhen it come to room – mini fridge , coffee access and closet, huge coach cum bed

But the bed was not in good shape Lot of back pain on sleeping over last 10 days Management need to look in to that seriously semi hard usually hotels use but full soft beds are not good always Room cleaning and staffs are awesome Worth staying out for 10 days

Wolf Pack

Happy with room, size and value is goodOn the flip side, was disappointed with the following;- Charged twice for the room and was not offered an apology-Front desk named Sara was not helpful- Asked for room to be cleaned and linen to be changed

Returned to my room late at night and nothing was done Was told that they only service the room at a certain time of the day Made it out it was my fault

Felt overwhelmed by the druggy filled community in there Serious dealers dealing resin, no policing what so ever Felt unsafe a lot of the time and shaken up by the large homeless population in an around the building

Beds were amenable and could have been more soft Generally a horrible experience with a minority hosteller which could have been monitored more carefully by more consisentious staff

Very very nice access to well equipped kitchen Very nice private rooms Nice dorms for good price

Very very clean no worries of any type of bugs Staff is nice and all the other guests who come through are awesome company Old Victorian home with lots of history Even if you live in Sacramento I recommend staying in a private room for at least one night

My experience – This company did not honor its promises and showed complete disregard for the customer Why? I made reservations weeks in advance for a 2 bedroom with riverside views This was a special mother-daughter trip with my mom, who is 93

When we arrived, I was told the reservations would not be honored because they overbook reservations Their attitude was that as a customer, I did not matter, and I had to take what they gave me So, I had to settle for a room with one bed and one pull out sofa The sofa was hard and dumpy The bed my mom slept in had one sheet We requested house keeping but did not get on their schedule, so no cleaning The safe we needed for our jewelry was brokenThe attitude and actions of this hotel were extremely disappointing I have been to other Embassy Suites and never experienced such disregard It was especially clarifying when I overheard another person who had reservations six months in advance and they were not honoredI should note that they did give me a discount on the lousy room that was provided However, a discount does not make up for spoiling a portion of a well-planned and special visitI would not recommend this Embassy Suites

It is difficult to describe excellence in a few short sentences but here goes: Location: just a few short blocks and easy walk to downtown, and very close to the river front trails and old town Rooms: the rooms are very well appointed with high quality amenities They main lobby is incredible with a beautiful atrium and places to sit and dig the amazing vibe

Staff: All of the staff here was incredible We brought our small dog and staff were very accommodating with our little pup and we very much appreciate that touch They never once questioned anything about our dog Of course we are responsible pet owners and made sure she could use the bathroom outside Food: Incredible coffee and a breakfast that will leave you satisfied and fulfilled It was truly scrumptious Thank you Embassy Suites for an amazing stay We will be back!

Amber Pericoli

Great rooms, nice location Breakfast was great with lots of varietyCheck in was sub par- there were 4 people at the front desk including concierge, but only 3 checking in the line of guests that extended out the door

Could have been friendlierValet parking is required, otherwise you pay $25 to park in the garage across the street
