My husband and I travelled to St Francisville to stay at the Inn and take in the sites of Louisiana I have heard about the Inn now for over three years and since Covid has slowed down a bit, we jumped at the chance to go

Wonderful place The people are so sweet Monica, Shayla, Angelica and Ms Shirley have so much Southern hospitality that we felt right at home The Saint restaurant was A++++ We did not have one bad meal!!! The bar is top notch! The cocktails were wonderful and we enjoyed several on the front porch in a rocking chairBrandon and Jim, you have a jewel of a place and we hope one day to return

Rob Tulloh

We visited the inn to dine at The Saint restaurant We arrived a little early and sat in the bar area enjoying cocktails while waiting for our table Everyone who worked at the restaurant wore a name tag that also said where they were from

My wife said it reminded her of Disney Our bartender Daniel took care with each drink It was a hot day and I loved my Aperol spritzThe dinner menu featured red snapper, redfish, pasta, and a nice selection of starters We enjoyed sharing the fried cheese balls Our server Lily was very friendly and offered good insights into the menu when our party asked questions A full wine list is available and we enjoyed sharing a viognier with our meal Dessert featured chocolate torte, bread pudding, and key lime – all made in house according to Lily We ordered all 3 and shared them

Friendly at desk Major remodeling occurring on second floor Parking lot in upper area mostly full of shipping containers, leaving lower lot with signs reading ” Park at your own risk, susceptible to flooding”

Room just felt dingy, with dirt build-up on lamps headboards sinks and mirrors The beds were good with new/newer linens Furniture needs to be replaced Coffee maker looked disgusting Biggest issue was the toilet, I believe the wax ring was leaking, so water on the floor That is repairable but the toilet was so close to the wall (@13-14″ from center, code is minimum 15″) it was difficult to use, and with a grab bar next to it (lowering clearance to 10-12″) there was just no room We dealt it but would never have stayed a second night In the morning the coffee and breakfast were good and the attendent was very pleasant and accommodating We mentioned the toilet at the desk and he said he’d have maintenance look at it

This is easily the worst hotel room I’ve ever been in  If it was me paying for it, I would have definitely complained to them by phone or onlineOk, let’s see

bathroom lightswitch had to be toggled up and down several times every single time before you can get it to actually turn on My sister went and reported it several times but nobody came to even check on it No shower curtain Some kind of sharp metal who knows what at eye level at the back of the shower, about a foot longToilet stopped up and my sister went down to the front desk to borrow a plunger, and they actually just let her use it instead of coming to fix it themselves  Only one tiny trashcan in the bathroom, not another one in the room itself Shower wouldn’t go cold at all  – only warm to hot That’s just the bathroomThey’ve got a small Keurig that was absolutely covered in a thick layer of dust, as was most surfaces Window was filthyKing sized bed had a large bump in it going right across my side of the bed at lower back level It hurt so bad to sleep on!! The ice machine didn’t work on the 3rd floorThey were doing some construction on the second floor which is definitely needed I hope it’s much better for anyone checking in in a few monthsI could go on, but that already tells you It’s awful I absolutely wish I had taken pictures to post here

Shermanie Reed

The rooms were not clean, tub was rusty, the carpet was dirty and had stains, the paint is peeling off the walls and doors, the peep hole on the door was stuffed with tissue paper (they are too cheap to replace the door), free parking was advertised but not honored when we arrived The office manager, Brandy, was rude & extremely unprofessional She could not answer questions that were asked

She was asked for their corporate & she didn’t even know the number She was also unwilling to get the number She advised I find it myself on Google I would give 0 stars if I could

I want to say thanks to the management and the staff/team who made sure I was comfortable during this stay We were in town for my uncle’s funeral and had driven 8 hours to get to the hotel Upon check-in I encountered a couple of issues

However, when I brought them to the attention of the manager he took care of each item with great efficiencyBreakfast was wonderful with hot items available A very warm and friendly staff member made sure that although there were several large groups at the hotel there was enough for everyone Items were restocked quickly and he did his job of wiping down areas and tables, with a smile, and without missing a beatThe room cleaning staff is amazing! After one issue occurred we had to change rooms As we were leaving the hotel to head to the funeral we encountered the staff They kindly asked if we had everything we needed in this new roomI can’t say enough good things about the management and staff here I’ve travelled quite a bit since March of this year and always stay here when passing through to my routes I realize that with hotels many people come through, so things will break, noise will happen, and other things out of the property’s control That’s just life So, it’s not what happens, it’s how those things are handled and resolved I find that this property does it right

Stayed here for a total of 10 days for a work trip and there are little to no negatives I have to say about this hotel My room was great The staff was always super kind and tended to any of my needs

Breakfast was a continental breakfast and was a little different everyday which was really cool Plenty to choose from and eat which is always nice at a hotel The guy who ran the breakfast buffet did a fantastic job and would even come up to my table and ask to throw away my trash which was super nice of himAlso, I don’t think I heard a peep out of anyone while I was in my room Maybe a door close right next to mine here and there but that is about it The walls and doors seem pretty well sound proof which is a great thing to have while staying in a hotel There are a few good spots(to eat) near this hotel which is nice And a decent sized grocery store right behind it which is great as well Would recommend this hotel to anyone

Pamela Shultz

The ladies at the front desk go above and beyond! They are very respectful and help in anyway they can! I had forgotten so much of my stuff & they never hesitated to help me with the things I forgot! The rooms were very clean smelled great, breakfast wasn’t hot, but they did have other grab and go options to take with you! Honestly the staff is what did it for me! Definitely recommend!

Worst hotel stay of our lives, an absolute nightmare This place needs to be condemned and demolished Our room smelled horrible and was filthy upon arrival

There were hairs and gunk all over the bathroom The toilet paper holder, door frames, ironing board, and towel racks were rusted over and unsanitary Carpet and shower were so dirty that we had to wear shoes while showering and walking in the room Curtains, bed skirt, and fridge were covered in mystery stains Each night a group of 10 people gathered outside our door drinking, smoking, and yelling past midnight When we drove in after dark, we almost got a flat tire due to the numerous potholes and broken up pavement chunks in the driveway Stay ANYWHERE but here!!!

peyton bonner

Worst experience I’ve ever had from staff They refused to let me talk to a manager while we were in the office Me and my wife have called numerous times to speak to a manager and they still refused

They charged debit card twice at 133$ and we never opened the door in a room! Swimming pool was greenish black! Pics on advertising look nothing like this place!

I stayed there this weekend and checked my bed like normal and found hair was everywhere I need this place to start changing the sheets like they are suppose to The shower had hair in it

The staff was great but the room was not up to standard Thankfully I always bring cleaning supplies on my trips and my own bedding for times like this

Chelsey Kreil

Hotel Was Perfectly Situated, Easy To Access This Is Super Important When Unfamiliar With Baton Rouge! Shower/Bathroom Facilities Were Amazing! The Shower Was Modern With Plenty Of Hot Water And Shampoo/Conditioner Dispenser Available ‘In’ The Shower These Products Have Left My Hair Soft And Feeling Amazing For Two Days! One Tidbit To Share Is That The Beds Are Very Soft, Almost Too Soft (If There Is Ever Such A Thing)

After Having Been On The Road For Hours It Was Nice To Sink Into The Covers And Before I Know It I Took A Nap (Haha)

Paul Woodburn

I had a brief stay in this hotel on business and the outside and foyer was quite nice Adequate parking, shuttle service to the airport and within walking distance to heart attack inducing fast food and fast casual eating establishments The room however was another level

A lower level I went to bed fine that first night but then I was awakened by a loud screech outside my window and something crawling on my face Did I just check in to the Bates motel instead of Springhill Suites? Disoriented after being jarred from a long overdue sleep, I got up to check the noise It was a black bird with a nest in a tree outside my window and a line of ants with a trail leading to my bedDefinitely in need of an ant/termite fumigation treatment Surprised it has not been reduced to an anthill already

From the moment I walked in until the time I check out, this hotel was perfect The staff was very friendly and helpful Debbie the Manager was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed

The room was spotlessly clean and my wife and I slept well just like we were in our own bed I usually have trouble sleeping in strange/new beds, but this bed was great The shower/bath was extremely clean Most hotels have issues with the water pressure either being too low or too high, but this water pressure was perfectI would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 7 days, check in was a little rough, they were having computer issues and a broken elevator But the front desk was so friendly and cheerful it was contagious! Room was kinda rough, beaten up a bit They get a alot of baseball kids here i think and I’m sure they don’t romp like kittens

AWESOME breakfast, and a smiling good morning from the hostess sits well with me Best of all you can get breakfast EARLY One morning was greeted by fire alarms which they quickly silenced No biggie with that, I’ve been in the position of having to silence alarms before A great place to stay in Zachary, friendly staff, couldn’t expect more

New Door

This was a week long (Sunday to Saturday) business trip from hell because of this hotel! If there was a way to post a Negative rating here, I would!Filthy room on check in There was doo-doo left all over the toilet, wet towels rolled up as if they were fresh, sinks and counters filthy The carpet had not been vacuumed at all, dirty refrigerator and trash left in cans

I had to clean the toilets and sinks myselfWhen I complained to the manager, she just told me that they were very busy the evening prior She made no attempt to help at all Horrible manager!!! Cleaning person should be terminated!Eventually I was moved to another room that was clean, but not until another employee helped, but not the managerWhen I returned from my conference on Friday, the desk informed me that I did not have a room for the evening as I was supposed to have checked out that morning Although I presented paperwork for the proof of having a room until Saturday, they continued to argue that I needed to pay for an additional evening and present a credit card or leaveWhen I protested, they allowed me back to the room, and I found that they had entered my room and removed all the towels and linensAgain, reporting to the manager only to get no help and nothing but attitudeDO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP! HORRIBLE SERVICE! DEPLORABLE MANAGER!

Expected better from such a top rated chain, but the Hilton Garden Inn Airport in Baton Rouge fell short1 Hotel’s Website stated that they would provide a digital key but upon arrival for check in, I was told that they no longer practice this

2 My hotel room door would not close securely on its own I had to put push it or pull it each time If I had not been paying attention, then my room would have been left open I informed the front desk and when maintenance finally arrived I was told that they could not repair it until after I checked out which was going to be 2 days later3 I requested extra towels in my room when I checked in but I never received them I finally had to go to front desk and get them4 Housekeeping never came and freshened my room or changed my bed linens at any time during my stay even though I had told the front desk that housekeeping could come in even if I was not there5 I requested extra pillows and a blanket from the front desk but I never received them from housekeepingThe only bright point of my stay was the restaurant staff and hostesses They were friendly, attentive and helpful The check-in clerks were friendly too But overall, this was one of my worst stays

M B

This is absolutely the worst hotelThis property is very deceptive Upon entering the lobby you feel as if you are entering a clean hotel

This hotel is far from being a clean establishment The hallways smell like urine and feces I have been here for a few weeks and have literally begged for housekeeping and was refused The past five days I have requested house cleaning and have done so in the morning and in the evening This was turned sure that in case morning management does not provide to housekeeping evening management would Not sure what the issue is but I have yet to have them service Last night I had to request a mop, a broom, and cleaning supplies so I can clean my own room I was promised that someone would be in today to clean my room Upon entering the room the cleaning items were left in the room They simply placed towels on my bed and didn’t do anything else So no cleaning and on top of that cleaning supplies were left in the room I Would not recommend this hotel for business or casual stay If this is your last resort be prepared to have have some challenging experiences

Karen Hunt

Will not be staying here again First room: bathroom door would not close, no toilet paper, no working room phone, AC was sub-par and blew cool damp air We complained and explained we wanted a new room in the morning, was told it would not be a problem

The morning crew had ZERO idea that anything had happened They agreed to put us in a new room as soon as one was cleaned up That wasn’t until after 4pm 🤯 Broken light in the room and phone doesn’t work, and only 2 towels, but at least the bathroom door closes Then they tried to give our new room to other people Figured this out when a family unlocked the door and walked in to our room Got that sorted out, kept the room This morning around 7:45am I asked to have housekeeping come in to redo the room Got back at 8:30pm, keys didn’t work AGAIN We went to the front desk to get them fixed, the woman didn’t ask for id or even what our name was, just programmed the keys for the room number we gave her Not feeling super impressed with the security measures being taken Then when we finally got in the room, guess whose room wasn’t visited by housekeepingSo yeah, never coming here again

Absolutely unsanitary!! Pull back sheets before even putting bags down! Sheets had hairs embedded as though the just made bed from previous guests beds I’m still cringing

ugh if you want a contact buzz simply stay in the hallways Advertised breakfast yet no service it’s just closed no reason given And such a tiny room for price paid!! Oh yea and if you want to watch TV be prepared for the thrown together rig up of cables and boxes Had to give it a star to post anything, trust me one star is more than they deserved

Hannah Hollyfield

What you would expect for the price point Please note: as of April 23, 2022 the pool, continental breakfast, and gym were still closed- regardless of what websites or signs say Nothing was remarkably dirty but it wasn’t nice either

Bathroom mysteriously didn’t have a trash can, but was clean No coffee pot or fridge in room Did have a laundry room but no detergent available for purchase The carpet in the room may have been a bitsticky?? Really the only thing somewhat icky, just keep your socks on

Kristravels

I booked this hotel at a whim because my flight had cancelled They had decent reviews but it does not depict the actual situation in the hotel when you check in This hotel advertised 12pm check out and had 11am checkout

I asked for a late checkout and they said they din’t allow that Also said in the website breakfast is offered but not even a coffee The first night I checked in, there was a cockroach in my room and also some gnats There was no hot water in the shower and in the morning, at 10:11, housekeeping already knocking to clean the room and they been calling the room Bad overall experience! Do not stay here! So many more nicer hotels around the area

I traveled with my family to Baton Rouge to see Garth Brooks and was sort of forced to choose this hotel since most of the others were already booked by the time I got around to looking Reading the reviews really scared me and I was sure it would end up a bad experience However, it was very much the opposite

While it’s true the area isn’t very nice, that was the only negative thing about it Check-in was quick The front desk clerk was very nice (wish I’d gotten her name – she worked day shift) Our room was mostly clean I did notice an area between the bed and night stand that needed to be vacuumed, but that was all Sheets were clean, bathroom was clean The hotel is old and sure it could use updates, but our stay was quite nice

Susan “SusieQ” Brown

This Hotel is located by the Baton Rouge airport and by some great food places The staff here and especially Ms Precious made our stay very pleasant as if we were family and welcomed into their home

Also shout out to Ms Pam and the General manager for accommodating us with an additional unforseen nights stayAlso Mr Jeremy Davis for making sure our room was well quipped with bath towel, which there was a shortage of He brought us some fresh out the Laundry ❤️😍😘 Definitely will be back where it felt like home Hats off to you guys ‼️‼️‼️

Talia Horn

The location of the area was awful The air smelled really bad When checking in, the staff asked if I “really needed a double bedroom”

I informed them that I was traveling with my brother Staff then stated siblings can share the same bed The room was filthy! The toilet was not cleaned, nor was the the bathroom counter The desk was sticky, and residue was left behind from a drink It was not cleaned!
