Went to Asheville for a concert and needed a place to stay overnight, Bon Paul and Sharky’s was within my budget and seemed like a good place I was not disappointed! I stayed in the tiny house and it was great The bed was comfortable and the room was clean

Only issue was that there’s no AC, but there was a fan Definitely would stay here again

I enjoyed my stay at this Hostel Great value I used it as a place to rest my head after a long day of hiking in Brevard before headed back to TN the next day

Resident workers were quite helpful I never really needed anything but all of them introduced themselves and asked if I needed anything Rooms were clean enough, bathrooms (especially upstairs) were great Showers are great They provide soap Seems locally made Common areas were good with board games, books, magazines I can’t speak for the kitchen Didn’t use it Seemed standard Sharky’s could use a few aesthetic upgrades, but nothing huge Owners – I would recommend new chairs around the fire pit and a new deck & picnic table whenever you get around to it No big deal though I plan on coming back with friends sometimes Thank you for your hospitalityOne more note – Mine was clean but they (like most places) wash comforters periodically If this is of concern to you as a prospective guest, maybe bring your own blanket

We really liked the self check in/out and it was easy to find after we went by it the initial passThe window A/C was on when we arrived at 4pm, thank you!, and we could park right in front of the cottage Three steps up and we were in

I owned a residential cleaning company so I automatically noticed how quick a turn around their cleaner must have I cleaned the entire kitchen surface areas so they could just do their DisinfectionIt was great to assemble our breakfast and eat in our pajamas like at home, one of the reasons we wanted a place like this Heard the birds in the morning too!I would stay again, just bring my own cleaning bag since I have different standards

Third time visiting this hotel and I was very happy again The rooms and hotel are spotless Rooms are also very comfortable and have recently been renovated

The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable This trip Jessica and Mabel at the front desk got us checked in early and recommended some places we should check out They were very friendly and outgoing We will definitely be returning

Kayla Em

The hotel is in nice location! The room was very spacious! There were plenty of towels which I like! The bathroom, though old, was very clean Free breakfast was also included They didn’t have much selection but I thought you can at least get something to eat before heading out

However, the hotel smelled musty and old I definitely noticed it as soon as we walked in The room smelled the same We booked a room with 2 queen beds since I was with a friend but they gave us room with a king bed instead We were told that they didn’t have the room/bed we booked anymore! Needless to say I didn’t get a good night rest

Addell Anderson

I booked the hotel for our staff retreat and was highly impressed with the facility and services for such a reasonable price Our staff arrived from various states, so it was important the sleeping rooms were comfortable and the meeting facility adequate to conduct our business Truly, the Holiday Inn surpassed our expectations

They even allowed food to be brought in from outside the hotel Special thanks to the staff for taking care of all of our needs before, during, and after our stay In addition, the facility is only a short drive to downtown (some of my colleagues walked), as well as shopping I would not hesitate to book this hotel, again

Not a bad hotel for a night The rooms were generally clean, spacious and smelled good Everything worked correctly but the water must be very hard because it was difficult to rinse the soap off

The pool is indoors and very small, if no one is in the pool it would be hard to swim laps, with one person in the pool it is impossible The free breakfast is pretty light but the did have sausage patties and precooked omelettes as well as make your own waffles Nothing is in walking distance to the hotel but a Waffle House The staff was friendly enough but not very helpful The luggage carts were few, very small, and scattered

Angie Walker

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel The employees were all very friendly and helpful The hotel is clean and spacious and has many extra amenities

We would certainly stay here again However, our issue was with the parking and door access The entries into the hotel are awkward in relation to room access For example, we were on the fifth floor From either point of entry door, you must walk a full length hallway to get to the elevator

Taylor B

Im usually the one staying at higher end hotels This was a girl’s trip and we went a little more frugal Pleasantly surprised by the beautiful building, service and cleanliness

The front desk staff were very helpful The rooms were super clean!Pool was well maintained and breakfast was deliciousThank you for a nice stay 😊

Beverly Varshovi

Very nice motel As a suites motel, it had a sofa in the room for separate seating My room was clean (most importantly!)

The bed was a little soft, but water pressure in the shower was excellent, hard floors instead of carpet – my preference – was great and the view of the mountains was lovely Staff was very cheerful and helpful And while I did not partake, there was a free breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 am All in all, a pleasant stay for a reasonable price

Scott McDill

So first off the rooms/ facility were very clean which is my number one criteria, and secondly was a friendly staff which there definitely was, and the only reason for 3 stars Unfortunately that’s where my satisfaction stopped with my stay We stayed in room 202 and the bathroom was tiny, I could nearly touch the mirror and the tub wall

There appeared to be only emergency side exits to the building so if you got there late like we did, you had to park in the back of the lot and walk around to the seemingly only entrance in the front There was only 1 small, rather slow elevator for 5 floors, so the stairs was really the only way to go, especially on a Saturday morning when we were checking out at 830am Breakfast was on par with what you’d expect at a hotel Problem was, the room it was served in was tiny and might have seating for 20 people Which yes sounds like a lot, but every seat was taken in the breakfast room and there was barely any room to get around to get your food with everyone else there still trying to do the same There were people eating in the check in entry area and even a few had to go sit outside to eat their breakfast My teenage son put it best when he said, “it seems like this was a smaller hotel that remodeled and added floors without paying attention to, and expanding, the things that mattered most” If none of these things bother you, then this is the hotel for you For me, at $250 +tax and fees on a Friday night, I’ll keep driving next time

Penny Gamblin

Very clean, great breakfast area had continental breakfast but with great selection of hot and cold The worker, Heather, kept it stocked, very clean and is a very nice young ladyAll people there very nice

Good price Comfy beds and good towelsWould recommend to anyone!!!!

What a fantastic hotel! It’s nice and clean, the staff are polite, and there are open amenities and a big breakfast Our room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was practical and we had no issues with the shower or toilets like some other hotels The pool has heating and is indoors, which was very enjoyable out of the sun in the summer

I would absolutely stay here again

Ella

This hotel was not only a great value, but was extremely clean and perfect for a quiet weekend away The lobby is well laid out with the breakfast area right beside check in, a pool right down the hall and the outdoor patio just opposite Our room (We stayed in the king w/ tub) was very nicely furnished and we enjoyed having the fridge for dinner leftovers

Only qualm is that the floor was a little uneven and sloped beside the bed and that the door leading to the hallway when opened, hit the bathroom door Overall, super super pleased and will be returning

A Low

I am a Nurse at Mission in the OR Clean is of upmost importance to me This hotel is super clean! Check in process was fast and the staff were excellent

Some of the reviews for this beautiful lodge were ridiculous Unless there has been an amazing remodeling and super fastnot sure what those people were talking about!! It is just as the pictures show I have stayed at many of the area hotels and this is my favorite thus far! I had not stayed here due to an unpleasant ‘Choice hotel’ that I stayed at in Charleston This lodge has redeemed the brand for me Extremely nice

My 11 year old daughter and I traveled to Asheville for a day trip for her birthday We chose this hotel and it far exceeded our expectations From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff and a beautiful facility

The rooms were basic but very clean and nice The bed was extremely comfortable and we were very happy with our accomodations We had several interactions with the folks at the front desk and they are the reason I would return to this hotel The shuttle was so convenient and drove us downtown and picked us up with 10 minutes of calling for a return pickup We will definitely be staying here in the future

Kordell St Amand

This hotel was so nice From the moment we arrived the front desk staff Tiffany and Liz were so helpful They gave suggestions on where to eat and boy were they right

The breakfast was a lot more than I expected The shuttle made visiting downtown super easy and we didn’t have to pay for parking Definitely book at this hotel 5 stars all the way

Nicole Leifer

The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful I accidentally left a car door open, and even though the parking lot has signs that say park at your own risk, the security guard, while making his rounds of the property, saw it and contacted the desk, who tracked me down (I was in the pool with my kids) and told me about it, and then, because I was in the pool and couldn’t run out, he went back out and closed and locked it for me! The place is really beautifully decorated, it’s such a lovely ambiance, the front desk staff is so cheery and sweet every time you go by Such an amazing deal for the price!!

The lobby, golf course, trails are beautiful The restaurant buffet is great and worth the money for sure Beautiful fire indoor and outdoor pit

And a good size balcony But the rooms are a little small and almost like an after though compared to the more upscale curbside appeal and lobby/restaurant lookThe bathroom is small, would be better with a walk in shower and remove the small dated tub And a simple fix to open the bathroom door out vs In would make a huge difference Not a lot of thought out into the room, but i guess you only sleep there so it can be tolerable

Buster Young

We recently stayed here and overall had a great time We had a bit of an issue at check in with our room We were given a room on the bottom floor of a separate building that appeared to be a spare room that perhaps was used for storage

Let’s just say it was not the caliber of room you would expect I brought it to the management’s attention and they made it right and got us in a room that was very much suitable and what we expected The hotel was sold out of rooms but we had made a reservation My purpose of bringing this up is that the property made it right and we ended up with a good room and overall enjoyed our stay The breakfast was extremely good Very nice staff We would definitely stay with them again

Brook Anderson

Stayed in May 2022 My room was clean and had a small balcony On-site bar and restaurant nice but expensive

Good location if you don’t want to stay downtown Decent conference room facilities The hotel was quiet and I slept well each night They have a shuttle to take you downtown and back for $8 per person Small maintenance issues such as the phone in my room didn’t work well and my bathroom light kept flickering but overall an enjoyable stay

This Hampton was the best one I have ever stayed at It was super clean, the rooms were very spacious, the breakfast was amazing and had lots of options to choose from including mini waffles Everything was brand new, you could smell in the halls the brand new rubber from the walls and rooms

Cannot express how impressed we were with both the service and the hotel itself

My partner and I went on a long weekend trip with my sis and her hubby, and really enjoyed ourselves The hotel is very close to downtown Asheville & has easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway We enjoyed the pool and hot tub during our stay, and the breakfast as well

What an amazing building, and the grounds and breathtaking It would probably take a few days to explore and experience everything this place has to offer Everyone who worked there that we interacted with was top tier

They were so nice, helpful, and accommodating You can tell that the staff really love what they do The patrons were also great, and we carried on multiple conversations with people we didn’t even know! It was a bit cold when we were there, but I can’t wait to go back and explore the grounds We saw people swimming outside in the huge heated pool and were very tempted! We will definitely be back soon!

Mike Kvintus

The views were amazing and service was outstanding, but the downside was the facilities were very dated including old/frayed rugs in the main hallways and the rooms were worn The rooms were better in the newer wing but still worn while the rooms in the original section were very worn The great room was fantastic with music each evening

We spent a lot of time in the great room and on the terraces Dinner on the Sunset Terrace at sunset was the perfect setting! Overall we had a wonderful vacation despite the dated facilities and would like to go back

Loren King

Very nice! Service was awesome Reservations are a must if you want to enjoy the dinning experience to the fullest With that being said, the gift store doubles as a food place as well and you don’t need reservations to go there

Very clean, which is something that is very important to me I’m going to be honest, it’s definitely an “upper class” resort, pretty expensive Though if you’re a golf, spa, wine and dine person, then leave the kids with a family member and enjoy

Clean and the staff was great they were able to take us in when our other reservation fell through We ate dinner at their lounge upstairs and the vibe was amazing Staff there were also super nice

We ate breakfast there and we had the best waitress, food was so good Location was great but it’s not right downtown Also it was snowing really bad and the parking lot was icy so we slipped once or twice I feel like it should gave been salted to prevent guests from falls I will be going back this summer

Alexandra Erickson

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this hotel For the positives: the breakfast is wonderful (although there is no continental option) The staff is beyond friendly

The gym is huge and clean The lobby is elegantly appointed For the negatives: they charge $10/day for parking and the pool is cold and dirty The rooms are drab and oddly lacking, and the linens were less than comfortable It was, however, quiet and the bathroom/shower was clean and comfortable The rooftop bar is a must-see!

Jake Cochran

Location is perfect We could walk to everything downtown If you do the trolley tour there is at Pack’s Square (5 walk)

We parked the car and didn’t have to drive till we left to go home Use the app to check in and out so you can pick your room Very clean Rooftop bar is great Good food Wonderful views Best hotel stay in years

The room was clean and quiet The beds and pillows were comfortable There was a bit of an odor in the room and it was humid because it had been really rainy and they were very responsive getting us a dehumidifier which helped a lot

Only 4 stars because the smell still lingered Breakfast was consistent We were there 5 nights and I felt very comfortable

Kenneth Keifer

We’ve stayed at many BW’s and this one was fine The room seemed pretty clean, bedding was nice and beds comfortable The air conditioner did give off a musty smell, which was noticeable

We’ve stayed in better ones, but this was fine It was well priced, and since we weren’t going to be in the room much, we were happy with the price The free breakfast was standard and plentiful All in all, for the price, I can recommend it

Dam M

The property is beyond well maintained, staff are super excellent, great breakfast (especially having two picky children), rooms are comfy and super clean and the location is absolutely perfect!! Close to major stores and more, and right off the highway I’ve stayed in several hotels all on the East of the states (I travel a lot from Cleveland, NY, to Miami) and this hotel BY FAR has been the BEST!! I will definitely stay here again and for the price

absolutely worth it!!!

Stay was great! Until an employee stole my AirPods We tracked them to a car and had turns out he and his wife DID in fact, take them We were okay and ready to just take our stuff back and leave, until they tried to say it was an accident

Honestly, I wish I could rate this hotel better since it was an employee and the hotel itself had no idea until we told them, but when they attempted to brush it off as an accident?

James Thomas

Had high expectations for the stay unfortunately that was not the case Red Stag grill is over priced for quality of food Steak i dont believe was a prime cut as listed and not very tender

I have never given a negative review but a major issue when checking out Found that my friend daughter airpods were missing After tracking them to a employee car and recovering them with Hotel management, we were told it was a mistake Completely unacceptable and disappointing for end of our stay Would advise looking at other options for your stay

Planned to stay here a month ago, then my wife and daughter came down with a stomach bug the day before around 3 PM I called to see what my options were to reschedule our stay and was told that I had up to 24 hrs prior to cancel or reschedule I said great I will talk to my wife on a date to reschedule and call right back to rebook the stay

15 minutes later, I called back to reschedule, with known dates that we were available, but this time I was transferred to what seemed like a corporate line instead of the actual location, spent 20 minutes on hold, only to be told that we could not rebook or cancel within 3 days of the check in date I asked to speak to the person that I spoke to prior at the location, but I did not have a name and they kept stating that there was nothing that they could do No deduction on fee, nothing So we still ended up having to pay for the almost $1000/night room without being able to reschedule! After writing this review, the hotel replied and I contacted at the local level and they were able to refund my full deposit Thank you for making things right! We fully intend to rebook this stay at a later time!

Outstanding stay The cleanest hotel we have stayed in the past several years The staff is VERY nice and does a great job

I am not kidding when I say this hotel feels brand new, it was pretty much spotless and as enjoyable as possible The breakfast was very well attended to which made it really efficient for us to get the family fed and on the road the last day especially The rooms and bathrooms look like a company commercial could be filmed out of them as they were perfect I would stay here again without question, this is very well managed and we as Hilton Diamond guests stay in a lot of properties (This was property #4 in our summer vacation we stayed in), and this was by far the best of our vacation and definitely the cleanest and best ran hotel we have stayed at over the past couple of years Well done

I’m afraid to leave such a shining review of this place because my selfish fear is that it will be impossible to make a reservation because of its popularity, but I’m going to do it anyway This hotel is absolutely fantastic on every front The management and staff are top notch, kind and professional

The rooms are clean, spacious, bright and modern with excellent AC, and the bedding is fresh and comfortable The facilities (pool, decks, shared seating spaces, and lobby) are impeccably clean and fun to hang out in The parking is safe, convenient and fairly priced But the best part is the locationyou can walk anywhere Restaurants, breweries, shopping, baseball stadium, parks, grocery store, food hall are all within an absolutely manageable walking distance You will look forward to coming back here after a day walking around, tubing, drinking, eating or whatever it is you came to Asheville to do This hotel checks all the boxes, and Marriott should be proud of whomever is in charge here It’s great I’m a repeat summer guest and will continue to book here when I’m in Asheville

My husband and I came to Asheville for a concert We have been to Asheville many times but this is the first staying at this hotel

Everything was wonderful, from the friendly faces that greeted us to the comfy rooms What really heightened our experience was an employee there named Martin He was absolutely amazing, a real gem After the concert we made our way to the hotels roof top lounge Martin came to check on us while we were up there He thanked us for coming, made sure we had waters, and asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay better It was much appreciated!!!

First night was great! We are in town visiting family and walked in to find a comfy bed, clean room and awesome front desk attendant We booked a second night through the same travel booking company we had used the night before, and because the owner (I assume) had not yet received (or refused to check for) the confirmation code from them by noon, he rudely told us to leave immediately At the very least he could have asked us to wait in the lobby while he processed our new reservation

Fortunately, I was able to call the booking company and transfer our reservation to a better hotel right across the street for less money with absolutely no hassle from them I was prepared to leave a 5 star review before receiving such hostile treatment The rest of the staff was fantastic- whether the person I spoke to was the owner or the manager, I’m sorry they have to work for him We left an extra tip for housekeeping on the way out

Stayed for two weekend nights Room was clean and comfortable This property has obviously been renovated more times than a Kardashian’s face, but it’s in pretty good shape

Breakfast is crowded and pretty limitedBiggest complaint is parking Don’t stay out past 2100 if you want to be sure to park your car We got lucky and caught someone leaving- grabbing the only space after circling several times
