Very friendly atmosphere Beautiful lobby It offers a sense of comfort

Front desk works hard to accommodate guest with placement, due to what’s most convenient for the travelerA few modifications taking place, but no true obstacles Housekeepers are friendly and helpful The maintenance area respond to calls quickly to accommodate The breakfast is one of the best in the city that I’ve encountered in my travels The pool area is a true luxury Located inside, and temperature controlled Hot tub is soothing All these areas or located just near the Suites Rooms are beautiful and relaxing I’ll visit again soon

Our stay was great, the breakfast was awesome and Mrs Q at the front desk was very polite and efficient Security was attentive and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to stay with Best Western again! My only issue was Upper management could be a tad bit more as with browner skinned guests as she is with guests my skin tone Great job

Advertised as the most haunted estate in Louisiana We were not disappointed Tickets for the guided tour are a must

We enjoyed hearing stories and walking through the spaces seeing how they were decorated The guide also told us several stories about prior residents and connected some of these people to ghosts who still haunt the estate In the general store, you can see photos on display showing more evidence of other worldly shades and shadows Ample parking and gardens to walk through with lots of shade Good way to spend time while you wait for your tour While we visited, other guests were arriving to checking in to the bed and breakfast

After seeing this place on tv since the late 90s, it was surreal being here We didn’t get to eat at the restaurant (it was closed, we were here on Tuesday) and I also didn’t get a ghost night tour (They are only Wed-Sat) Our tour guide Connie, was fabulous! The tour is only the first floor of the house

That was a little surprising (Rooms for staying overnight are upstairs, plus there are cabins, caretaker cottage, and outer building to rent) The grounds are beautiful and very spooky with all the huge trees and Spanish moss Worth the tour

Jaret Segovia

Wonderful experience! Visited over 20 years ago and although I didn’t think it was possible, it’s even better now! Beautiful brand new rooms, turn down service, helpful staff, beautiful grounds, nice breakfast and the tour of the house was fantastic! Restaurant is closed on Mondays so we had to go elsewhere for dinner but even that was lovely Highly recommend!

The room was exceptionally clean and so comfortable My husband and I live around three blocks away so it is the perfect place for a little get away when we don’t really want to go anywhere that would cause us to travel Staff is always very professional but they are also very welcoming and polite

Eat a great meal at one of the restaurants in the Casino, play a while and when you need a break you can go and sink into that huge, so soft and comfy bed Thanks for being such a great spot for our mini staycays, we so appreciate you

Haven’t been in about 5 months and didn’t have any luck then Go back today and my member card said it was no longer active so I waited in line for someone to check it I had to get a new card, all my points were gone

Played as usual but for only about 10 minutes and lost it all Out of 40 or so spins I won $240 and lost $100 Today was even worse than last trip Sucks my new card cost $100 I got a response from the casino about this review It said something like sorry that you didn’t have any luck this time but maybe I will have have better luck next visit They could’ve at least ask about my points on my card 🙁

Deb Porche

Nice place Really enjoyed myself and came home with money in my pocket! Go and sign up for your Cypress Club Card first, its so worth it You get a little something as soon as you sign up

I got $20 towards food in one of the restaurants there Lots of slots, didnt have to wait on a machine There are also a few gaming tables for cards and roulette I think 3 or 4 restaurants, a little clothes shop, a bar, hotel on site and plenty of parking The hotel room was nice and really cleanWe have already gone back for a second trip The only part I didn’t like was that the casino closes at 3am, but that turned out to be a good thing! LOL (Came home with $)

Knowing we would arrive late, we tried for 40 minutes (3 rounds with the hotel operator) to inform the hotel and confirm the reservation but were never able to get through Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk and there were other guests who had been waiting Multiple guests tried calling but only got through to a hotel operator as we had earlier in the night

We waited over 20 minutes with 3 other groups of guests for someone to come to the front desk and start checking in the groupsWhen we finally got to the room, we found there were small items left on random ledges of the room which gave us major concerns about the level of thoroughness of house keepingThe evening after we left I realized I had left my kindle in the room and called as soon as I noticed They transferred me around a few times and the manager said the room was not yet cleaned but she would check and call me back I was also instructed to file a report with their lost and found website I never heard back from the manager even after I called back two days and left a message I received an automated email stating my item was not found It has been a full week and still no communication Very disappointed

Trevor Gesik

Whenever we go to Bossier/Shreveport we always seem to have a negative experience in the terms of customer service This trip was completely different Ms

Kelly, at the front desk, checked us in and she was superb! Super friendly, happy and very down to earth The other locations we went had great customer service too but we wanted to highlight Kelly!! Great job and keep it going!!

Michael Chaney

I think the food was the jewel in the crown We loved the Port Seafood restaurant Out of the 3 nights we stayed, we ate seafood twice

Just delicious! I must say the Bellman”s desk was excellent I came for a visit with my medical equipment I didn’t get the Lady bellman name, but she was all hands on deck I going to the Horseshoe for a 5 day stay and I’m looking forward to it

Really nice hotel with beautiful interior and tech featuresWe had a fantastic huge apartment with terrace, and lots of windows, for a reasonable priceThe room had an interactive local guide with suggestions to restaurants and attractions

Super staff always helpful and smilingClose to good restaurants andSome rooms are without windowsThe pool area could need some attention

Holly Waldroup

Be careful… We read previous reviews on various sites regarding extra charges which are not mentioned prior to reservations being made We read EVERYTHING and decided to book We later got an email saying they were going to charges us for our two young sons… an extra $25 a day, per day

It could have amounted to costing more than $200 extra And the charges were definitely an added charge because we listed our sons ages upon booking I will say they were nice enough to reach out and advise us of the charge prior to our arrival so for that reason I gave 2 stars Wish we could have stayed but it was pretty astronomical with the added fees

REACH PROGRAM

This place was incredible! It had a pool, gym & was pet friendly for my Rottweiler which most places are not Close to everything and really great doormen

2 bedroom apartment was perfect for me and my teenagers and the dog with plenty of room to spare My only complaints are the place doesn’t have anywhere to safely take a larger dog out to use the bathroom We were in the 4th floor and ended up having to go down through the parking garage to a back alley for him to go Secondly, the valet parking price was steep and I had to park the car myself because it’s a six speed and the guy didn’t fee comfortable driving it Otherwise, this was a fantastic experience!

We waited for over 10 minutes in the lobby trying to get someone up there to help us check in I called the main number and someone finally showed up We called 3 times while waiting, no one came

When we got into our room, 115, it was hot and the bathroom smelled really bad I sprayed air freshener I had in my purse and put the ac on, it got better Maybe the guy working was taking a dump in our room No worries, we won’t go back Thank you

Garrett Toole

They did not have proper pillows or towels When I asked for a regular pillow and a bath towel the guy at the desk stated they were at full capacity and they didn’t have any more normal pillows or bath towels so we had to sleep with throw pillows and bath with hand towels They also charged my card twice and have not refunded the second charge

We left early and will never return

The new owners are absolutely wonderful They are friendly and the atmosphere at the marina is the best on the island if you’re looking for a place to have a good time during your stay at the island There is always something going on on the weekends at the marina weather its a band or DJ, even a fireworks extravaganza for 4th of July

The grill at the marina has great food at a very reasonable price If you’re on the island and looking for a good time, check out grand isle marina You won’t be disappointed!

Angelle Pearce

This is probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed If you are a rugged man, only needed a place to rest your head a few hours then get back to fishing, you are fine But this is, by no means, a nice place to bring your wife or the family

The shower reeked of a chemical smell that never went away I’m giving it 2 stars because it is in Grand Isle, which will probably be a great outing and my standards are not quite so high Go for the great fishing, not the accommodations

Brenda Hubert

Sorry to say I’m sure the family is great We stayed the last 2 nights

$20000 for 2 nights I’m sure it’s because of the area The bed was so uncomfortable It squeaked every time one of us moved, and the frame sounded like the wood was about to crack in the frame For what they charge they could at least fix the shower floor It was all jacked up Great air conditioning though & plenty of hot water It was like party central all weekend in the parking lot

I went for my father’s birthday weekend and expected a little more The rooms were fine but amenities were minimal I assume because it is a “resort” everything is extra

But I am used to SOME comforts being offered, regardless if I stayed in a hotel, resort, or vacation rentalThere was no complimentary coffee machine or coffee, an ice bucket with no disposable cups, no hangers in the closet, and we had to request an iron There was no microwave or fridge in the room I inquired about a microwave and was told there might be one in the vending area Unless all the vendor areas are not the same, the only thing available was the ice machine and a drink machine, which is disappointing if a person was looking for quick snack I guess guests might not look for a like night snack to tide them over in the morning As a tip for future visitors, to save costs on eating, go ahead and bring you a bag of snacks and a cooler of drinks to reduce your expenses during your stay The indoor pool was enjoyable by my son, and it was heated in the area but it was still a little chilly in the area Also, although the temperature did drop during the weekend, you would have hoped the lobby wouldn’t have been freezing The temperature could have definitely been warmer

Ethan Thompson

This is for casino only due to that we didn’t stay at hotel The casino was nice and fun We stayed all day Saturday and most the night

Explored the scenes inside and the gators were a nice little sight We won and we loss Played tables and slots Dealers and staff were nice and helpful and friendly Overall great time Will definitely be back many times

Amanda Courteaux

Was there for a week for a convention and they were short on staff No housekeeping, valet, etc The fitness center, 2 restaurants and the buffet were closed

Even the vending machines weren’t working 🤷‍♀️ In consideration, I’m aware we are in a pandemic And this is no complaint, just informing anyone that if you are going to stay, you may not get all what hotels, casino, etc offer I’ve been in the past, and they were always great And during this go, the staff they did have were professional

Room 718 I’m convinced has mold or some other allergen My sister and I stayed 5 nights On the second night it was so bad we could not breathe

The front desk moved us to room 709 which had an air purifier It was better but still bad Bellmen, valet, front desk staff were very nice The location was great and the hotel looks very nice 50$ nightly for incidentals 10$ nightly for a preservation fee (please read the fine print) If they are charging to preserve the building they could do a better job Overall, I would not stay here again The air quality in those rooms are horrible Been to many hotels in my travels and this is something I’ve never experienced

Frank Migliarese Jr.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Stayed for just one night but in that short time was treated the best I have ever been at a hotel Everyone was extremely courteous and helpful Made it seems as it was a pleasure to do their job to make make my experience as comfortable and positive as possible

The men and women of the valet especially were great and welcoming Hotel is beautifully decorated and elegant Room and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated as well Would stay here again given experience and location

So, I first went to Le Pavilion over 10 years ago – it was beautiful (and still is in some ways) in an old world sort of way The lobby is glorious, and the rooms felt old and lived in and early America It’s a haunted hotel, although I’m sad I haven’t seen a ghost

It may be because about 5 or so years ago they renovated all the rooms, modernizing and sanitizing them, and they lost that old world charm It’s sort of sad that it feels like a Holiday Inn now The lobby is still spectacular, but the rooms are bland Sadly the pool was closed while we were there, and the front desk wasn’t very friendly We inquired when we checked in about a military discount because it wasn’t available to select when we booked, but then the person at the front desk said that we needed to do that when we booked – well, then I guess you don’t give a military discount since it’s not possible to get it Let’s just leave it at that, shall we? Nonetheless, I had some wonderful experiences in the past at Le Pavilion, including the fruit basket in my room the 2nd time I went back that had a card that read “Welcome Back, Mr Meek” I still remember that little gesture, and it still makes me smile But that was then, and I don’t think we’ll be staying at Le Pavilion anymore It’s not the same, although I will miss the PB&J happy hour, which is a nice holdover from before all the renovations

Room was spectacular only stayed a night but man what a view of the river, can’t beat it And the fact it’s convenient you can pretty much walk anywhere to get to where you need to be Comfortable room and great views

It’s hard to beat Definitely recommend staying here The brunch on Sunday was on point with an omelette bar and bottomless mimosas and build your own bloody Mary

alexis larkin

nice hotel and great location! love that it is in walking distance of several nice restaurantsfor the price we paid, i would’ve expected the bathroom to be cleaner (the shower was dirty when we arrived with hair on the tiles) and the valet to be quicker! took 30 minutes to get my car the other day

Gerald Emmerich

Location is good Hotel rooms need some work and are very run down One of the elevators shakes while ascending, while the other is missing a button

Lights in the room look like they’ve been hit with a hammer Toilet looks like it is about 50 years old with dark water marks in the bowl (and it runs from time to time) Mini fridge is randomly placed in a rundown cabinet with the door ripped off Other furniture is missing knobs and has touch up paint that doesn’t match The doors do not block any sound, so the rooms can be very noisy depending on where you are in the hotel I’ve been debating about cutting my loses and just going else where for the night I definitely won’t be coming back to this location in the future

Beautiful hotel with so much history The area is great to walk around My baby needed to be walked at night to fall asleep and I felt completely safe waking with just him and my daughter

The bar appetizers are delicious I do wish they would’ve offered room service but that wasn’t a big deal I recommend getting coffee from St John’s coffeehouse right on the corner and enjoying it by the outdoor fountain!

These people will steal anything you leave at their hotel! Management is not helpful at all they gave me the run around for three days Nothing in the room worked!! What am i paying all this money for! The worst part was that i took my own trash out of my room i seperated the dirty towels, cleaned the shower because they don’t do that ( the previous room users body hair was everywhere) and i left a thankyou note for housekeeping and they still stole my things Sad

Disgraceful Never coming back by choice

We stayed here after purchasing a discount vacation deal at Cabela’s and you have to at some point go through the timeshare presentation that is about 2-2 1/2 hours long We did not purchaseThe hotel was itself was pretty nice

The room was like a mini apartment almost One bedroom, then a living room area, bathroom and a small kitchen area with dishes providedThe furniture is nice all overCheck out the rooftop patio, it is a nice place to relax, see some of the action down in the street from above and enjoy a drink or 5Some of the stuff is kind of cheaply constructed in the rooms like the towel racks fell constantly because they weren’t measured to be installed right, water pressure in general was not greatThe staff were all amazing and made us feel very welcome during our visit The front desk girls are sweet & hilarious

The room is worth it if you are staying as part of a bluegreen vacation promotional offer The water gets cut off here periodically, but with the area being poor there’s only so much the critical infrastructure can do around here The appliances were cheap and didn’t work well, there was no dishwasher and they expect you to clean up the dishes

They have a sign on the door that says you need to do half of room service’s job for them The room service is barely what’s needed to keep this place going This company is run by shareholders and I really felt like an asset more than a customer here There were bed bugs on my bed too I have stayed in so many cheap hotels, and I have never encountered this before What little staff they had was friendly and the hotel had a historic feel to it Normally I don’t write reviews because I stay in places that are adequate so why give a 3 star review? But this place is a well deserved 1 star

Had problems with plumbing Only real warm or hot water available Refrigerator wouldn’t cool properly

Freezer did not work Housekeeping not available yet Called a number of times to pick up bagged trash, no one came Had to take trash to lobbyAll the staff, however, were friendly
