Very charming Bed & Breakfast that showcases lots of history It is the perfect place for a quiet getaway The owners were very welcoming and made us feel right at home

They have a hot tub with a view which we enjoyed at sunset Downtown Florence is just 5min from the B&B with a 2-3 great restaurant options Check out the Florence Brewery which has a small mountain town vibe

We had a great two night stay in the Elizabeth Anne room and will definitely be back! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hot tub was perfect to unwind The owners were very accomodating and knowledgeable of the area Additionally, their dog Penny was the best door greeter/host and should definitely be the employee of the month again this month

This is one of the best overnight stays I have ever had This property was acquired around three weeks ago by new owners and we were greeted by them when we first got on the property which was a great surprise We got a tour of the old house and structurally it is beautiful

Our room was furnished with historical pieces and we greatly appreciated the AC in the rooms The hot tub was great and the ambience of the entire property really gave us that homey vibe Breakfast in the morning was the best I have ever had compared to any hotel or Airbnb Freshly baked bread, a variety of fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice and more The breakfast was definitely worth the extra price point and I would come back here again and again I hope the new owners stay with the property and run this BnB for many years to come!

After reading all the great reviews we decided to stay, it’s probably the best motel I’ve ever encountered, set in a great location just steps away from everything Extremely clean and comfortable, lovely people at the front desk, major detail and plus was to finally find a bathroom that had plenty of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, They also had laundry machine, nice continental breakfast with plenty of healthy choices and, overall the whole experience was great I totally recommend

I generally dislike motels and inns In Texas, they’re few in between and not very good options for an enjoyable stay but they seem to be quite abundant in Colorado I will say, this little gem was quite a find

Not only is it a 1min walk across the street from the Royal George Railroad Station but it’s also within walking distance (2-10mins) of LOTS of good eateries Our room was VERY clean with all the necessary amenities Bed very comfortable and hot water in the shower The lady at the front desk was also very nice, very sweet If you’re in Colorado to visit the Royal George Railroad, do yourself a favor and stay at Parkview Inn Motel

Christina Lopez

This is a older establishment but I was very impressed on how clean the room was Staff was friendly and I liked the all the little touches they did to make you feel at home (free coffee, shampoo and body wash, make-up remover wipes) I would love to give 5 stars but a few things lowered the score

1st the bed was very hard and uncomfortable (did not get a restful sleep , It kept me up most the night) 2nd the continental breakfast was a nice touch however you have to go outside and down some step stairs which is an issue for anybody with a physical limitation (I wear oxygen)

Not a luxury hotel by any means but great for a quick trip The price was definitely fairWe had a double queen bed single room

We had a small refrigerator that worked fine The beds and pillows were great The breakfast was pretty good from 6-9 am Breakfast consisted of fruit, cereal, muffins, waffles, yogurt, eggs, potatoes, breakfast meat varied by dayThe staff was great tooOnly one down side, the pool area is almost unbearable Our eyes would start burning within ten minutes in the pool area We reported it to the front desk On top of that the hot tub and pool were both visibly under-filled

Gracie Hinojos

Not a luxury hotel but super cute!! Its clean, welcoming and very nice! The staff is friendly, well honestly everyone is The hotel is close to everything, stores, downtown, restaurants, and tourist attractions The pool is small but its find to relax in

The rooms were a good size and the bathrooms are pretty big Breakfast is included which wasn’t just fruit and yogurt it was pretty good The view from our room was just beautiful! Can’t complain, if you are staying in Canon city stay here

Esther Liu

5 stars simply for fantastic customer service, specifically Kara, Tanya, and Bethany I was part of a group that had come to camp and ended up with a major blizzard/snowstorm The staff went above and beyond to help us all get rooms even though space was tight, and they even spent extra time helping us figure out which roads were plowed to rescue some of our friends

Rooms were clean and fine Breakfast is pretty standard Our shower faucet broke, but someone came in to fix it without any issue Walls are thin but nothing unbearable

I feel awful leaving such a bad review but never have I stayed at a hotel where I literally couldn’t stay any longer and drove home in the middle of the night I know it’s a Super 8, but the room smelled like urine so bad I opened the windows and turned on the AC I just felt disgusting and had to leave

When we were checking in they told us that if you’re a local they put a $300 hold on your card because “the locals destroy the rooms” Well, I think they need a deep cleaning, absolutely disgusting

Carrie Anders – CDPS

Shower/tub squeeked, remote control to the TV doesn’t have a working “guide” button When leaving, I mentioned it to the front desk They said none of the guide buttons work

Breakfast was to be included They had nothing I asked about it They said their supplier ran out They also had the OJ machine as out of service No chairs to even sit down to eat breakfast

I stayed for 4 nights Housekeeping came twice during that time to swap out a few towels and take out trashThe room was simple but functional

The shower was hot, the air conditioning was cold, the TV worked and the fridge was also very handy, though it took me a day to find it hiding under the TV!Bed was comfortable, no bugs All the staff I dealt with were friendlyI would have enjoyed cushioned chairs in the room, as well as an additional lamp at the table by the bathroom And the hot tub was not working when I was there Not a huge deal I mostly spent my time there sleeping

Nicole Galley

The amount of money I paid for the quality of the room, was way too much! We had no alarm clock, iron or ironing board, hairdryer

the fridge barely worked, the AC smelled like dirty feet, and the owner is practically impossible to understand, much less, try to carry on any type of conversation of him There was quite a bit of people outside their rooms, “hanging out”, someone blasting rap music outside my room until 11pm The location was uncomfortable, and the place seemed packed You had to sign in, to get into the pool area: which was unattended: and the floor to the upstairs is very weak and unstable I did get into a little argument with the front desk lady but in the end, she was actually the only decent thing about that experience

Bob Melamed

Not bad not good Overall fairly clean and fairly friendly Lots of cigarettes smoked outside and a bit noisy in the am

Room TVs are inconsistent about allowing HDMI connections for your own streaming content Some rooms it works, while other it doesn’t The pool is niv ebit check-in is required to use it, making spontaneous dips impossible Bathrooms are pretty well clean and kept I was happy there There are a few benifits It is well located, and usually the lowest priced hotel in town Overall a 3 star

Initially I was allowed a service dog to be housed in their hotel however once the owner came on due to the lack of him training her I was asked to leave with my service dog in the middle of the night and I mean at 11 pm the worst time I have no idea where these people get the nerve to mistreat people however he was Asian and there was one car in the parking lot besides mine that says it all

This guy has no understanding of business or whether or not they cherish dogs the way we do and I understand that they may eat dogs but it’s not right to persecute me for having a family member which is my service dog with me I feel so sad for these cultureless heartless people who absolutely refuse to understand a good business is only conducted through communication

Room’s were spacious and nice, beside the bathroom Bathtub had stain and gunk inside it, grout looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years Listen, I’m fancy and stay in MUCH better hotels than this so my standards may be high but this was a pure disappointment

HOT TUBS WERE SO DISGUSTING Smelled of fish tank and was lukewarm at best JETS RARELY WORK! I tried to turn off the jets continuously but never worked Hot tubs are janky and had yellow staining on sides There are wood boards surrounding the hot tubs and all are creaky and make you 60% more likely for a fall risk Jet’s are overly powerful and loud, felt like I was stuck in the middle of an attack from Poseidon Pool was alright, nice and heated even in 20 Fahrenheit weather Has some stuff on the bottom of it though? Not sure what it all is Customer service was fantastic If you are in need of an URGENT PLACE TO STAY, fine, why not? But if you have a choice, DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL!

I do not recommend this hotel unless your desperate! Each room smells HORRIBLE, and isn’t safe nor clean The glass doors don’t lock properly allowing anyone to freely enter our hotel room The rooms looks horribly dirty

The only reason it got 2 stars from me is due to the fact that staff are kind, and breakfast was better than the last few hotels I stayed in

Dusti Prioux

Front desk was super helpful and friendly! I somehow managed to mess up my reservation, but they were they were able to get me into a similarly nice room Absolutely LOVED the pool side room! Super convenient and cozy to walk out and enjoy the pool area Unfortunately, the pool needed to be cleaned so wasn’t usable before checkout

The bathroom and room were clean, spacious, and comfortable

My lady and I stayed at Starlite way back in 2011 And like many others who have left reviews over the years, we had nothing but an AMAZING experience I believe we met Larry when we checked in, he was kind and funny and made sure we had everything we needed

We stayed in one of Starlite’s vintage campers, Lucy was our gal! She was perfect, including pots and pans and linens and I recall even some salt and pepper, which we forgot to bring 🙂 Bathrooms were spotless, grounds were well kept, and other campers staying at the park were kind and respectfulIt was a great trip, and the beginning of a healthy shift in our lives to travel more Years later we bought our own RV, and are now considering a campground of our own in the future We’re quite thankful to Sylvia and Larry for the experience and environment they’ve built together, and chose to share with othersSo, why am I leaving a review a decade later? Well, for starters I wasn’t as hip to Google Reviews way back then, so this has been a long time coming and is certainly well deserved! But also because recently we’ve determined that we’d like to live long-term on a campground, and have been checking out long term locations in CO, NM, MN and OR It dawned on me last week to check and see if Starlite offered long-term stays, and to my surprise, that’s what they do nowSeems there are some folks* out there who don’t quite get the business model Sure, some campgrounds are all about the turn and burn Campers in, campers out I mean, what? Isn’t like 99745% of campgrounds out there all family focused? There are plenty of thoseStarlite has always been a more unique experience, and with the vintage campers you already knew things were going to be different So I’m not the least bit surprised that after all the floods and fires and god knows what else, the owners found a model that provides privacy, affordability, and perhaps more importantly, community And that’s something we hope to be a part ofRyan & Zoë* I wish Google let us Like replies to reviews Whoever is replying from Starlite is doing the Lord’s work and deserves a drink Bye, Felicia!

We had the best time here! My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the vintage trailers (the Flamingo) and it was everything I hoped it would be! The whole place is quirky and charming, with fun little details everywhere It was just so much fun to sit on our little “patio!” The trailer was stocked with all the little extra kitchen and linen items we overlooked and the bathrooms were clean and close by Plus, the owners are super friendly and accommodating! I’m already planning our next trip here!

Friendly people run the hotel at a very good price They don’t overcharge for pets and it’s a safe feeling hotel It’s certainly basic but that’s all you need most of the time

They would benefit from upgrading their soaps/shampoos in the bathroom as well as a good deep cleaning of the floor near the door and bathroom The rest of the room feels clean but the area near the entrance of the room could use a good steam cleaning

J Walk

This was not my worst experience with a hotel but it was close I wish I had taken some pictures and I regret not doing so now The pictures shown online are dated and not accurate of the mustard orange color someone decided to paint the entire building

David, who was working the front desk, was likely the best part of our short experience We spent 30 minutes in the room and then my son and I agreed we did not feel comfortable and packed up and left The room appeared to need a good deep cleaning The air conditioner was unbearably loud and functioned poorly That volume for the TV did not work so we had no sound The toilet seem to be loose The windows were dirty Our initial impression of the beds was that they were very firm which some people may like They did not have fitted sheets but rather regular sheets that were partly tucked under the mattress but became untucked very easily The towels did not smell clean This was all we experienced in our short stay in this room, but it was enough to motivate us to find another place

Michelle Morgan-Romero

The staff is very friendly,  David at the front desk was really helpful and provides excellent customer service!  While the hotel itself is a bit outdated the pool and spa were quite nice  At checkout the kind lady at the front desk even gave me a clipping of a plant i had asked about  All in all it was a pleasant visit and would definitely stay again
