This was a half way point for our trip The check in lady was nice Breakfast was good

Didn’t use the pool or fitness centerOur main problem was the roomThe walls were very dirty as well as the carpet The beds were hard to sleep on The headboards were stained really bad In the shower there was a used shampoo and bar of soap The sink wouldn’t drainNot impressed, won’t stay again

This is our halfway point on our travel every year And it’s a great hotel These were just minor issues for this room

All other times it has been superb The bathtub was creaky and did not feel supported The bathroom door was not fully assembled at the handle And the toilet never shut off so is constantly running Other than that the service was great and we got a good night’s sleep

I used the Hilton Honors app to book 2 rooms Since we were arriving after 10pm I did the digital check in with the room choices and digital keys

One room went smoothly My hubs and my room however, not so much We unlocked our assigned room with the digital key but it had been rented out to another party Fortunately they were understanding and not in a compromising situation Come to find out the hotel had switched their original room to my room so they could be closer to their kids I went to the front desk and no apology or reason why they changed my room or that I walked into a room of complete strangers Or that I now was going to be on another floor from my kids, ironically The room was fine People were noisy above us until about 2am Shower water had a weird smell Almost sewerish Probably won’t stay here again or use digital keys There are too many hotels right off i-55

Beds were not made when we arrived nearly 45-min after check-in And since we were having a late lunch we had to eat in a room that look like it had been used by the previous patron(s) with no soap left, so I literally had to walk to the other room to grab a new bar of soap So the staff were cleaning the rooms and we asked them if they could please come back in about half an hour after we were done and they agreed

However one of the staff was smoking right outside of our room, which was a nuisance since this was a non-smoking facility in the smoke was easily entering our room under the door so my friend stuffed a few pillows under the door to block the smoke and it actually helped We also were a little surprised when one of the staff members was wearing a t-shirt and jeans whereas the other one was wearing a uniform We thought it might have been one of the hotel guests who was just being very nice perhaps and helping out Other than that it was also disappointing that the lobby closed around 8:00 or 8:30 pm Perhaps this could be due to potential crime rate in the area or the demographics of the hotel, yet it’s also unfortunate for guests who would like to retire to the lobby temporarily to perhaps have tea and relax Lastly the same employee who look like a very courteous guest helping the staff also happened to be by the bottom of the staircase smoking as well as listening to explicit music and singing out loud There’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing this but when you approach this as a guest it does make things a bit awkward and off-putting What employees do on their free time is perfectly within their right, but it would be better to perhaps do this in an employee lounge somewhere where it’s not infringing on the space/comfort of a guest

If you’re searching for an overpriced straight down nasty disgusting motel that claim to be an hotel look no further!Rust,Mold, stains on walls and floors, Dirty towels that smell like weed! When approached the management about all this issues RPatel answered “why you making a big deal about it”I seriously can’t believe this place is open for business!

The hotel had the potential to satisfy me for an overnight stay on my travels across country, but unfortunately they did not succeed Hotel staff is wasting the owners money Coffee was overpowering, juice tasted like pure syrup, and floor cleaner left a sticky residue on the tile in the bathroom & vanity area

The pungent floor cleaner had a very strong odor and kept me up for a while Besides that the room was clean but needed some updating, and the building looked ok

This hotel is NOT CLEAN, from the elevator to my room If I could have cancelled my reservation without loosing my money, I would have without hesitation! The room smelled like someone had been smoking in it when we opened the door The shower door was nasty and dirty, around the outside of the shower it was moldy with rust

Inside the shower was not clean, we had to go purchase shower shoes to take a shower The shower head looked like with was coming detached from the wall The corners in the bathroom had dirt buildup One of the nightstands had something all on the side of it, not sure if it was dried vomit or milk The only good thing, the sheets on the bed and bath towels were clean I would have thought with it being a Hilton hotel, as well as the location(Madison, MS), I would be pleased and it would have been clean But, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Even the elevator was dirty, the wall paper in hallway was peeling and looked dirty I felt like I was at a motel 6 I couldn’t wait to check out Monday morning before 7am! Hilton, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED and I expressed it to the checkout staff as well!!!

From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, we were made to feel like valued customers!! The young lady at the front desk, Jada, was wonderful!! She was kind, sweet, pleasant & extremely helpful! She had a sincere desire to make our stay as nice as possible & we greatly appreciated her kindness! Jada’s customer service skills are exceptional!

Desk woman was very friendly & helpful Hotel room was “ok” Privacy shade wouldn’t cover entire window (had to cover bottom 6″ with pillows)

No TV remote in room Dark yellow stains on towels and the towel rack (for all towels) is in the shower? Strange set up There obviously was a recent leak from the room upstairs as the entry ceiling had water stains and blistered paint & swollen drywall Last gripecouldnt find an coffee at 5:15 ambut there’s a starbucks down the street Other than that, the room was clean & hotel was nice

The room was a nice size with some updated amenities, a small fridge, microwave, and single serve coffee maker The closet was a bit small but functional Room came with a couch and desk

Lamps have convenient plugin to charge electronics but only 1 per bedside Bed was a 5/10, somewhat stiff for my liking and the pillows were small and miserable Comforter was goodRoom could use additional renovations as it looks half finishedAll in all I paid 98 for the night but I also purchased last minute and if you have stayed at a La Quinta before then you know what to expect Service staff was polite and helpful!

rose bud

I knew when I saw the dirty door mat at the entrance it was not going to be good The mat in front of the check in desk was also dirty In fact all carpets were visibly dirty

The hotel has a smell like they were trying to hide the odor with Odor ban Makes me wonder what else they are not cleaning Our room, 224, smelled like dog urine the king bed was sunk in where each person slept But it was comfortable The sheets were clean The windows had openings around them like they forgot to caulk them Huge 1/2″ gaps At 9:30 you could hear the kids in the pool like the windows were open The hotel owner should invest in a good carpet cleaner and a caulk gun The air conditioner could not keep up Probably because of the gaps to outside We had two small yorkies They gave us a pet fee refund of $20 The La Quinta in Douglessville GA was very clean and quiet

Emmanuelle Alonso

The room itself was okay, but there were signs that it had not been cleaned thoroughly (a dirty sock on the side of the dresser, dog hair on the couch, lots of dust behind the desk) We also had to rearrange the room in order to use the pullout couch mattress Breakfast selection was not great, but the nightly cost was cheaper than others in the area

Skip to main contentWe have stayed in many boutique hotels in our travels and this one is one of the best!Honestly, if you are traveling through Mississippi this is the hotel to stay inFirst of all, we want to give a big shout out to the following team members:Princeton – A great person; he made us feel welcome from the first time we talked to him on the phone He greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel welcome, almost like he was inviting us into his home

He delivered needed items to our room without hesitation and we saw him around the hotel doing whatever needed to be done with a smile on his faceChrista – Bar Assistant did a great job with serving and checking up on us even under extremely busy conditions Very accommodating with a smileChristy Lee – Bartender – Very professional and accommodating under very busy conditionsTop notch employees!!!The grounds were beautiful with an interior garden, modern furnishings, large banquet room for gatherings, lovely rooms all with an intimate feel, and great rooftop bar open on Thurs, Fri, Sat with nightly local musiciansThe stay included a delicious full breakfast with lovely pastries, biscuits, gravy, fruits, meats and eggs Wow!!!We want to thank you for making us feel so welcome and will definitely be back when we are in MississippiDate of stay: April 2022The rooms facing the garden with balconies are lovely

Overall the stay was good It’s a nice old building with a pretty courtyard and a perfect location for walking to the historic sites and museums of downtown Jackson The rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and comfortable

However, the service is somewhat rough around the edgesThe good news is that these shortcomings are correctableFirst of all, there is no housekeeping unless your request it This is unacceptable, especially at a hotel that wants to be “boutique” and more on the upscale side Daily housekeeping should be expected and automatic I found myself having to call and ask for clean towels then waiting for them to be brought to meSecond, if you are going to ask guests to select a time for their breakfast in the dining room, then you should have their breakfast ready on time I and other guests had a 7 AM “appointment” yet had to sit there for a good while waiting on the breakfast to be brought in Fortunately at least there was coffee readyThird, one of the big selling points of this hotel is the rooftop bar and the views from it However, the rooftop only accessible Thursday, Friday, and Saturday One cannot even enter the area at all except on those days This area was off limits even though the weather was beautiful and I would’ve loved to have just enjoyed the viewFinally, cleanup is needed in the courtyard There were leaves clogging the fountain, which was pretty otherwise

Brad Robertson

I stayed for two nights in May 2022 What a great experience Extremely friendly check in process and the gentleman at the front desk even offered to give me a ride to the train station when I was departing

Very comfortable room and lovely courtyard for breakfast/reading A one minute walk from the civil rights museum and near downtown makes this an exceptional place to stay for a brief visit to this very interesting city

My wife and I stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and LOVED IT! What a neat place Check in was super simple and easy, the presentation and quality of our room were fantastic The dinner we had at Library Lounge was AMAZING

The breakfast was delicious as well They had a rehearsal dinner going on the night we got there but you wouldn’t even know it! So quiet We will definitely be back!

Natalia Boliari

Such a wonderful place to stay in Big rooms, elegant architecture, design, everything is high quality, absolutely everything The jacuzzi we had in the bathroom is one of the best I’ve ever seen

Most importantly, you really feel at home Very friendly people, very helpful, and incredibly nice and witty I loved my stay and the people I met The Library bar/restaurant is absolutely fabulous, we dined and hang out there every night we stayed at the hotel I tried most everything on the menu, absolutely delicious The cocktails are also unique and incredibly good Strongly recommended, I plan to go back there The city is also very welcoming and warm and nice and friendly Love Fairview Inn and Jackson MS!

Anna Belle Williams

The Fairview Inn felt like home from the minute we walked in Emily in the office welcomed us with ‘your keys are on the desk’, and ‘we upgraded your room because you will be more comfortable’ Dinner at 1908 Provisions was outstanding

The bartender Zane made amazing cocktails and Susan our waitress was awesome Definitely a more comfortable vibe than a chain hotel, and the free breakfast was amazing Highly recommend!

Despite some minor things about the rooms, the experience was good! Staff were friendly, the pool was small but clean, and the breakfast was good In our room, the drawers had collapsed in at the back so we couldn’t use them, but I never use them anyway so it didn’t bother me too much The shower controls were SUPER sensitive so to avoid super hot water was a delicate operation

And we found an open packet of chips from a previous guest under the bed But other than that, it was good I would stay there again

Mandy G

This hotel is average at best It’s like a ghost town this weekend I’ve seen about 20 people in a 24 hour period

A few couples that checked in before yesterday have left The hotel smells like mildew As soon as I walked in the room and opened the closet door, a huge dying bug was there The toilet rocks When you sit on it, it feels like you are going to fall in When you use the phone in the room, the person you call can’t hear you I feel that is a hazard There is a Tornado warning in effect We are making sure our phones are fully charged I tried switching rooms, but was told that she has to wait on manager to approve That’s weird That was at 7 this morning As of 2:30 pm, I still haven’t heard anything I’m not a priority I guess that I will wait on the guy that works in the evening He was very pleasant and nice The breakfast is cool Housekeeping knocks on your door to pick up used towels They will not make the beds, but will leave you clean towels I like the parking You need to use your room key to park on the lot I would say that is the best part of this place I will not stay here again, though

Erick Henderson

Usually pretty nice spot Just make sure you ask for your ID back before you head to your room The last time I checked in here, the young guy that checked me in took quite awhile to get me a room key asked for my ID and never gave it back to me

Sure I definitely share responsibility for my own ID but when your so tired you can barely walk straight sometimes you just want to get in your room to settle down That’s exactly what happened Luckily I was able to remember that it was there where I last pulled it out So the hotel confirmed it was there But how annoying

This hotel has class and character! The rooms are comfortable and quiet The lobby is a nice place to meet friends and family The breakfast is amazing offering more than any other breakfast in town in a buffet which I like

The hostess in the restaurant spoils you like you are special family (the hostess alone is reason enough to come back to this hotel! The exercise room has everything I need I love elegance and southern charm and this hotel is delightfully both!

Beverly Blanchard_pedley

Great staff! Very clean! However, the air-conditioning didn’t work so was moved to a different room TV didn’t work

Tired from traveling I just blew it off but the wonderful staff and Management did return half the cost of the room Very very very nice and friendly staff Best I’ve been very encountered with everyone as a team in this country! Best 🤣 f the best! Across the street from Amtrak! Picture taken from room window looking down on Amtrak! Beautiful hotel

It is insane that Hilton has such differences of standards among its hotels The Jackson one is just terrible ! Found a dirty underwear in the corner of my room – got to change it (the room)

No room service available so no food late No laundry service available, which might explain point 1 I stayed 2 days and could not get my room done despite posting the sign on the door while the next two rooms were being done ! As if the policy is to not do the room daily for multiple night stay Overall the hotel is poorly maintained, dirty and without any charm Only positive point was the kindness of the lady managing the breakfast

This property is what Marriott should be clean, friendly staff, and comfy beds The sheets and mattress were so nice and softThe lady that checked me in was very helpful and accommodated to my request for a quiet room to lay my head on for the night

The breakfast was good but not much options for gluten allergy This is a Marriott Corp thing that needs to be addressed Other than that I would recommend this property You will find a great bbq restaurant right next to the hotel too

Tana Beth Cagle

Excellent, friendly service Delicious hot breakfast with choices for everyone Clean!!! (Bedding/mattressess, corners of room/linens/flooring) Staff are masked

Updated interior for rooms Decent shower pressure Had to ask for extra towels, (super soft fluffly towels BTW), but they were kindly given for our use Water is a bit softer than we are used to so go easy on the soaps/shampoos Can’t wait to return!

One of the most horrible experiences I have ever been through in my life Whatever you do- do NOT stay hereOn April 13th (3 WHOLE WEEKS AGO) at around 11 PM PDT, time my parents woke me with frantic calls of huge bed bugs being all over the bed they were sleeping on

Mind you this was around 1AM for them, so being awoken by pests that should never be there (during a pandemic where rooms are supposed to be thoroughly inspected daily) was not the best phone call to wake up toMy mother had bites on her arm and face and my father also had bites on his leg The front desk staff was immediately notified and a room transfer was offered as the only means of reconciling the situationAfter the front desk staff the next morning was noticed the woman at the desk approached the situation by saying that she had just gotten on shift and had no clue of the issueIt has been 3 weeks since I was promised points to credit back a Fairfield Inn stay, it has been 3 weeks since I have contacted customer care and only when I said I was resorting to posting a not-so-pleasant review (which I would never do for a Marriott property) is when I suddenly got an email back from customer care after being told 3 weeks ago my situation would be handledI highly doubt room 417 was shut down to be treated for pest controlThe lack of care for this disgusting situation and the neglect we all feel is very overwhelming and never would I ever have thought I would ever experience this at a Marriott propertyI hope no one else has another situation such as mine, but if they do I hope their problems are handled with care and respect

I live in hotels about half the year all over the southern StatesThis is the newest hotel and maybe the dirtiest one in Clinton You would think with covid still going around the cleaning department here would actually clean the room, especially when you booked using the Hilton app and it says

We’ve picked this room for you They would set you up in the best room Not the case I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story

Woody Cutter

Terrible Hilton hotel! Stay away! We are Hilton loyalty members and have never had a worst stay at any of their hotels We checked in, went up to the room and there’s hair all over the bathroom floor from someone’s personal barber shop Nasty!I went to the desk manager with pictures and she gave us another but smaller room

That room had a used towel laying out on the bathroom counter and there weren’t any other rooms available Even after all of this I didn’t not get any kind of discount on our original suiteVery disappointedAnd the door on the second room had a large crack because the door and frame are not aligned properly and this is disturbing since anyone can see into the room Very low standards here

This place felt very home like after being on the road for 16 hrs straight The Customer service was out standing the food and drinks was awesome I went to sleep for 6 or 7 hrs to get back in the road went to the front desk 3 am

The Person on shift smile was still as bright as it was the 6 or 7 hrs prior to me going to sleep Thank You Guys!

I recently stayed at the Homewood Suites and my experience was spectacular! From the moment I walked into the lobby I was greeted by very friendly and welcoming front desk staff The property is very clean and well kept In addition, they seem to do a very good job of making sure all guests feel safe with taking proper covid protocols

This was a huge plus for me! I liked the way they limit the number of guests in the pool at one time This is just another measure of safety The rooms are very spacious, cleaned to perfection, and well stocked with towels and personal hygiene products The breakfast staff is very welcoming and work diligently to make sure the food stations are replenished accordingly In addition, they have gloves readily available for guests to use when serving themselves The hotel is located on a very bustling street that has great food options within walking distance In addition, it is also in walking distance to the Jackson State University stadium should you come in town for a game There is also several really great museums and historical attractions nearby Overall, I highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again when I visit Jackson, Mississippi

We stayed at the Homewood Suites for two nights When we arrived, Trenice greeted us so warmly! She welcomed us, got us checked in, and helped us with dinner recommendations (5 stars for her too) The hotel was so clean and extremely comfortable

All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, and we loved the restaurants across the street In our two days, we visited Ghost Ghost, The Bean, and Basil’s, all a few steps from the hotel We loved everything We will definitely stay there again! We are Hilton Diamond members and this was one of five favorite hotels we have visited

I visit MS every other month and I stay at this hotel because of the cleanliness of the hotel but mainly the staff The GM “Jessica” is second to none On my first stay at the hotel is when I met the GM

It was a Saturday morning my family and I went down to have breakfast, she was our waitress She was the only waitress but she was fast, friendly, and held a smile the entire meal despite being the only server there After the meal, I made sure to thank her for all she had done In doing so, I asked her how long she had been serving and she said……”well ma’am today is my 1st day as I am filling in due the short staff I am actually the GM” I could not believe it From that stay on I have and will always stay at the Holiday Inn Pearl Because I know if the GM is willing to take off her dress clothes and serve food to the guest, I know I’ll always be taken care of when I stay Since then on two of my stays she has been there serving food with the same smile and same wonderful attitude❤️

Very uncomfortable bed The bed was older and beat up very firm Was given a room over the main entrance to the hotel where the light shined in all night

Was next to a freeway that was very loud Unable to adjust the thermostat to a comfortable temperature It was cold when I would set the temperature up I’d wake up and it would automatically be set back to a colder temperature The breakfast was sparse and the items were not good The hotel was older and somewhat rundown Would definitely notrecommend

If this Hotel was named Motel 6, it wasn’t surprised me muchMe and my wife and my two boys stays most of the time at Holiday inn Express, but we never had this kind of bad experienceGenerally This hotel doesn’t qualify to have the name “Holiday inn Express ” horrible

Bathroom is old and we sow molds around, the beds are supposed to be recycled too old, the bed sheets looks like didn’t changed from previous guest, and uncomfortable, the room was not vacuumed at least for the last two months, we sow trash around the room, windows are dirty, the room smells like suffocationWorkers has no name badges on, breakfast was horrible, the coffee in the breakfast room was from last day, the girl who was serving the breakfast was just look like came direct from Club, nutting was invited us to eat a breakfast at this hotelWe arrived a bit late night on Saturday, we was tired of driving all the way from Floridaso we had no choice we slept thereAuthorities for Hotels and restaurants must inspect this hotel very soon

An excellent value for the accommodations Rooms and common areas were clean It appeared to be recently updated

The breakfast options were numerous with both hot and cold food options and a variety of beverage choices (3 different juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, various milk options) The lady taking care of the breakfast area was very nice to us and our childrenLocation seemed to be safe and was easy to get off and on of interstate and to get to various food options for supper

We stayed at several Home2 Suites on this trip The Pearl location was a very positive experience The front desk team members were kind but also fun to chat with

The only down rating is just that they seem to be short people With a positive attitude and kind word those front desk folks were doing absolutely everything Breakfast, laundry, room requests, etc Hopefully they can hire some additional support staff and things will be even better!
