I have to give the 5 stars to the incredible staff who made my stay at the hotel memorable I spent 4 days and night away from my family and the staff made it easy The hotel will do good with an update like changing the charging port, rug in the room (some areas in my room was torn)

Nevertheless, the room was clean Love the breakfast and the taste of the light roasted coffee

Lauren K

The staff here are incredibly nice and accommodating I’ve stayed here twice and it’s in a great location in relation to Mizzou and downtown Columbia The rooms were dated, but clean

We requested a pack n play for our son which we received, but it had definitely seen better days We requested/paid for king sized beds but received queens (not a big deal to us, but it may be to others) Free breakfast with a fair amount of choices If you can get a decent price, it’s worth the stay

Liz Proulx

The hotel was not taken care of We were there 5+ days and the hallways were NEVER vacuumed The trash receptacle by the side door was full of disgusting cigarette butter

The door mats by each entry door were filthy as was the Stairway from floor 1 to floor 2, caked mud on each stairThe room was not cleaned any day we were there, we got clean towels but nothing else Our trash was overflowing, I made the bed everydayThe food for breakfast was fine and the area fairly cleanThe front desk personnel were dressed unprofessionally, they did not look like they had proper hygieneThe other clients of the hotel looked like they may have been homeless, I did not feel safeOverall I would NEVER stay at this hotel again There are many other choices in the area I certainly hope they are not the low level of this hotel

Holy Hannah!!!! This place is freaking amazing! Whoever designed these rooms considered a LOT My husband said the curtains were designed to not let light to the bed or TV from the window It very much feels homey and could serve as a studio apartment

It’s got laundry and a gym!!! We stopped here for some good sleep on our road trip to Colorado Best decision ever! We are keeping the Candlewood name on iur list to look for when we travel nowOh, and the check in lady She was super sweet and nice! I love it here! Need a place to crash or stay? Just book the Candlewood If you have the same taste as my husband and I you will not regret it!

Brett Stakelin

been checked in for less than an hour and they’ve already earned a bad review hair on the beds clumps of dirt on the floor

fingerprints all over the microwave mirrors have been sprayed but not wiped high touch areas definitely not clean traveling with a toddler is hard, and having to scramble to wipe everything down right as we check in makes it a bit harder once we thought we got it all we went to go draw a bath and found fingernails in the soap dispenser come on guys, clean the roomto be fair, they offered us another room, but not till we had already cleaned ours again because of aforementioned toddler two stars for now because maybe i’ll get an excellent night sleep

Lauren Veltkamp

Traveling through with family on the way to TN Had 2 young cats with me – very animal friendly hotel Nice and clean hotel

Not as modern in styling or outlet options ( USB charging ports ) yet the bed, kitchenette and bathroom were clean, comfortable and decently stocked with items for an evening stay Enjoyed my stay and the kittens were happy for a reprieve from the car crate Happy with my experience

Right off the bat, the gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice and easy going, checked in no problem and gave a good run down of the hotel Everything was very clean and smelled good! Got to the room, first impressions were spot on, and again, everything was very clean and very comfortable Well worth the visit, and always appreciate a place that’s pet friendly

The pup slept just as well as I did

Julianna L. NM

We stayed here 1 night because of canceled flights The placed was packed due to The Show Me Games – when every family and kiddo in Missouri travels to Columbia! We were extremely lucky to get a room, actually booked online from the parking lot *thank you, staff, for being so kind!Stoney Creek is in a beautiful location, off the beaten path

The hotel offers everything you could want or need – pool/hot soak, bar, restaurant, breakfast We did not swim because 8000 kiddos but it looked nice and refreshing when not so busy Indoor and outdoor areas *A lot of chlorine, though It was strong even in the adjoining hallways and elevators but most likely due to the amount of people for this specific weekendThe bar was terrific Indoor/outdoor seating Breakfast was really good Good coffee, hot foods, yogurts, and all the regular stuffIt is a fun, unique place and I think families, couples, or folks needing a room for the night would all be equally pleased

Alan Elfrink

My family lives in different parts of Missouri and Stony Creek offered the perfect getaway! Each family got their own room for the weekend and we could gather each morning for the free hot breakfast without leaving the hotel There’s also lots of places to hang out at the hotel: The pool has an indoor/outdoor area and is heated, which was perfect in the winter! There also lots of small gathering areas through the hotel with comfortable couches, chairs and rockers, which was very helpful for my baby niece when she got fussy Several of us got suites, and we ended up in those rooms a lot playing games and snacking

We had a great time catching up and would recommend Stony Creek to any family wanting a place to gather and spend quality time together

I’ve always been loyal to Marriott for the past seven years of business & personal stays This particular hotel was so unwelcoming today, I was furious with their behavior & customer etiquette I stayed here for more than a week in the past but the management team at that time was so nice & helpful

Infractions that occurred today:1 I booked my hotel at 5PM & checked in via mobile app only to find out they did not even acknowledge my reservation until I showed up They had to get the room ready & everything at 10:30 PM2 Assistant manager was a lady & she was in a hurry to leave, I asked if they offered complimentary water She didn’t answer & when I grabbed a regular water bottle from the fridge she said “$2” I’ve never ever seen a Marriott hotel not offering water at the very least for their guests3 I was hungry & couldn’t find any appropriate food in the market place, I asked the same lady if the breakfast items put up over the kitchen can be explored At that point she gave a very inappropriate look & tried to say no but then in a rude way said ‘you know what, you’re fine go ahead’ She treated me as if I was trying to claim everything for a free price I then grabbed a couple of muffins & offered to pay for them along with chips, they charged me $8 So disgusting of a behavior & attitude towards the customersI would never ever stay here nor would recommend to any of my fellow employees to choose this option

Kids not welcome at this hotelThe Spring Hills by Marriott in Columbia MO is a perfectly fine hotel, but I don’t recommend bringing kids here The location is easy enough to get to from the interstate, but the parking lot is quite small

The staff that checked us in was wonderful, but the supervisor was quite cranky We had been on the road all day and it was obvious our children’s pent up energy was not welcome I wasn’t surprised with the first noise complaint against us, but we got the kids quieted down and out for dinner When we returned we were informed there had been several other noise complaints against us while we weren’t even in the room That night I realized the rooms are not well soundproofed as I could hear every car that drove down the main road, roughly 100 yards away, as well as all nearby guests that spoke at a regular volume I am sorry that my kids were loud at first, but they should not have to crawl, not exaggerating, that’s what we all did, in order to not be “stomping”As I said, it’s a fine hotel, but do not bring children here They simply are not welcome and the staff make sure you know it

Donna Willey

Room not cleaned! Hair all over bathroom floor, sink and shower Things were possibly wiped down but not cleaned The vent in the bathroom had 2 inches of dust fuzz growing on it

Fingerprints on mirror and bathroom sliding door Not cleaned Toothpaste sprayed all over wallpaper in front of sink Cobwebs under bed side web I went to plug in my phone cord This room was filthy Funny since they leave a card stating how cleaning has been upgraded Trash in hallways Bed was comfy Ac worked well Wouldn’t stay here again due to filth Rather new hotel so sad

We stayed 2 nights Staff were very nice and helpful Breakfast was good

Room was clean and spacious There is a restaurant on site, but we didn’t eat there There is a gas station right beside the hotel for easy fill-ups Everything was greatWould definitely stay here again

Debbie Grant

Kindness, Compassion and Service is second to none! Our stay was due to my hubby needing surgery and an overnight stay at the university hospital Due to inclement weather, we decided to spend another night The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating which can be rare these days

Paige, Taylor and Tammy were absolutely exceptional in every way! These girls totally made us feel welcome and comfortable Breakfast was freshly made, delicious & plentiful I highly recommend Hampton Inn & Suites at the University to anyone considering this area!

KTJEEPER79

Austin at the front desk was so nice He always had a smile The breakfast was good but coffee was lukewarm at 8:00 in the morning with lots of people there

The only complaint was we were right around the corner from the front desk (thank you Austin!) but the guests’ voices sitting in the lobby were extremely loud and doors were slamming around my door well past 11 PM I didn’t want to call and complain because I didn’t want any retaliatory behavior The security hinge also seemed quite loose The shower walls had someone else’s hair on them The amount of towels was sufficient and Austin once again came through with my request for additional washcloths I would stay here again on a different floor May I suggest putting some better soundproofing on those doors closer to the lobby? Thanks again Austin! ☺️

Our stay was May 26-29 The room was extremely spacious and it included a refrigerator We also had our small dog with us

Everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly and professional After we checked out, I thought I left my medicine So I immediately called the hotel The young lady at the front desk actually went to the room and checked While she was away checking the room, we found the medicine Our next stay in Columbia will definitely be here

Bill Myer

We had a large group meeting and dinner in the conference center space Staff were great, especially John Because I needed to work logistics of the event, I missed out on eating

John went into the kitchen and came back with a plate of food for me! I felt taken care of The only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating was the A/V We tried two different remotes, new batteries, and still neither worked They had no tech support on site A lot of compliments about the food, especially the brisket

Pulled in here for some much needed sleep after a 1000 mile drive I came in around 11 pm and Andrew at the front desk was super helpful, professional, and courteous He got me all set up in just a minute which was awesome! The rooms are nice and clean, albeit a little basic but all I needed was a comfortable bed and it most certainly was

I’ll definitely stop back here on my return trip cross country ✌️

Rachel Land

We consistently stay with Drury Inn and have been to many different locations We enjoy the evening Kick Back and morning Breakfast This location was quite different than the rest as it is a smaller, older location and the building shows that

While our room was clean and bed was comfortable, the tub insert flexed and made loud noises when using the shower We tried out the hot tub and were surprised to see high ant activity; looking closely at that area, there are large cracks in several places where ants could get in from the outside The hospitality and friendliness were consistent with the Drury brand; hopefully the building can be addressed sooner than later

Adam Gosney

Best breakfast I have had in a hotel since COVID They had sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, pastries, cereal, coffee, and breakfast beverages Food tasted great

Room was decent Didn’t spend much time in there 3 adult beverages for free during happy hour as well as a buffet dinner When you add up going out for breakfast and dinner staying here is a no brainer

The hotel needs remodeling Bathrooms need remodeling I found mold on the walls of the bathroom Hair was in bed and also stains on the bed

Pretty disgusting I would say We had paid for breakfast only to have eggs, sausage, and potatoes with cheese which I can’t have Did not offer a coffee creamer or sugar and also no juice for my breakfast I will not be staying at this location anymore

Janet Gruer

Really!!? $4 a day to clean! You mean you weren’t cleaning before? Tell me what you cleaned extra for $4 a day, please!! No breakfast $20 room fee daily held Why oh why can’t they put hot water in a container with coffee!!?? It’s easy folks

Hot water vessel, coffee vessel They are different Nickel and dime you to death Well below holiday Inn standards

Allison Cook

Disappointing The hotel had a premium price for the area, but it feels more like Motel 6The beds were so rumpled when I walked in, I thought the room hadn’t been cleaned

Turns out one queen was made with a king sheet and the mattress pad was only on 2 cornersjust a wad of material under the bottom sheetThere were long black hairs on the sheets as well The bathroom fan doesn’t turn on The toilet seat is broken And even though the beds are pedestal, the mattresses are hammocks and squeek/groan every time we move We have a 2 queen room, which can sleep 4 There were 3 bath towels, 2 washclothes and just 1 hand towel in the roomBreakfast is not included, but there’s a restaurant in the lobby There’s a “facilities” fee added to the price, like at a fancy resort (but only $3)The front desk staff was friendly as they were telling me no And they did quickly bring up new sheets for the mis-made bed The floors did seem clean, and the A/C workedThe rumpled beds though, just makes me imagine that the sheets hadn’t been changed That colored my whole experience

The room was very clean It has this pull down chair thing in the bathtub so if you are at risk of falling in the tub that’s a wonderful addition The shower also has a little thing holding the shower head so you can push it and adjust the height of it

I thought that was pretty cool They also have a hair dryer in case you forgot to pack yours All in all it was an awesome place to stay for me and I would definitely stay there again I hope this was helpful in some way 🙂 I attached pics already to help as well

Kristyn Ruddiman

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel The hot breakfast is phenomenal in options and the pool is gorgeous! We looked at it, but weren’t able to get in due to routine maintenance The only concern we had was that the standard room does not come with a microwave/refrigerator, be aware of this when booking a room

Our stay was beleaguered by issues outside of the staff’s control, but they were absolutely amazing in accommodations and helping us problem-solve around any issues we had I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you’re in the area

Adam Wallenfang

I have staid at this hotel twice in the past 5 years, both times on business trips My most recent visit was for a job interview on campus I also needed to attend a tele-meeting later in the afternoon and despite having already checked out they allowed me to use their conference room for that purpose

I was greatly appreciative of that The building and rooms are new and clean, the staff is friendly, and the continental breakfast offers plenty of options If you need to visit Columbia I highly recommend you stay here

We stayed here last week for a few days The GM of the hotel isn’t friendly at all His staff is wonderful though

As soon as we walked in the room it smelled musty Asked the night desk person for a new room and apparently they were booked Sheets don’t fit bed, they came off every night Bathroom floors were not very clean Very sticky Lots of build up in corners The shower drain had mold on it The A/C unit was filled with mold I wish I could put pictures on here I wiped out down as much as I could Nasty Do not stay in there mold infested hotels I’m giving 2 stars because the staff made it ok

Amanda Glover

The room was very spacious The shower had other peoples dirt from there feet in it The bottles that ate in the shower itself that was suppose to have body wash/shampoo hair shampoo and conditioner was empty

Then we called to verify the hot tub was open they said it was, because my Husband drives yrucks so the hot tub is the main priority when getting aroom We checked in the very next day and the hot tub was tapped off out of order So needless to say we went to the front desk as voiced how we felt Front desk kept apologizing and told us they put in a maintenance report last week so the hot tub had already been down way before we called to verify if they had a hot tub but to also make sure it was open THEY STRAIGHT LIED AND DID NOTHING TO HP THE CAUSE WE ASKED IF WE COULD GET SOME OJ FOR MY SON WHILE AT THE COUNTER COMPLAINING BECAUSE HE WAS SICK AND THE ONLY ANSWER HE KNEW WAS SORRY OR NO I CAN’T

Dave Bunker

First Room had a problem with AC cooling but they gave us a new room right away and it was great , two day stay was just fine Clean rooms , Good breakfast , Friendly & helpfulCan’t ask for much more One down side was Hot Tub was down because of no use during Covid it ruined the motors & jets but understandable

Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff The room was very nice The bed was very comfortable and amazing soft pillows

My main complaint was that the A/C definitely could not keep up with the 90 degree heat It never stopped running and the room never fully cooled down The thermostat was set for 68 but it never got below 70 in the room and it felt much warmer than that The large bathroom was very nice! But we had to keep the door shut to keep the cool air in our room so the bathroom was very warm The hotel is in the perfect downtown location to walk everywhere Glenn’s Cafe is beautiful and breakfast was delicious I just think for almost $200 a night our room should have been cool The hallways were very warm the first day and the second day the hallways were way cooler than our room Also only one working elevator

C Perry

Our family (2 adults/1 child) had a positive experience overall No issues or complaints during our stay We arrived late at night

Check in was relatively quick and seamless We stayed in a garden suite with semi private patio The room was clean, modern, and comfortable Bathroom is spacious with a deeper than normal bathtub There is only a coffee maker and fully stocked refrigerator (unable to store anything without first removing beverages) Complimentary breakfast is not available but can be purchased All of the staff we interacted with were pleasant

Claudia Alberico

Wow! I had heard the Tiger Hotel was a great place but I was impressed From the lobby to the room, everything was very posh and clean I loved taking a bath in the huge tub in the presidential suite – the jets didn’t work though :(The room was large and had two areas, super comfortable for our nuptials

I would love to come back to stay, there’s so much to explore around the area!

The hotel was incredibly clean and smelled wonderful! The staff went above and beyond to make my husband and myself as comfortable as they could Our room was immaculate From top to bottom everything (yes, even including the glass shower door) had been wiped down and ready for us

I’ve never stayed at a Marriott that took such pride in their hotel Thank you for such a great stay We will DEFINITELY be back again!

Michael Bowers

The rooms are relatively new They are clean The staff is friendly and they happily fix any problems you encounter

The beds are great and the air conditioning works well – even during the hottest and most humid days of August The breakfast is typical for a Marriott, but definitely not impressiveThe location is removed from the town, but freeway access makes it easy and fast to go anywhere as long as you have a vehicle This inconvenience keeps the price down

Beautiful hotel Spotlessly clean Food staff were outstanding! Much praise to Jewel, Edward and Jack in the restaurant and bar

We stayed for 2 nights for a Corvette show They all worked so hard and very long hours Very organized, professional and so, so nice Including the banquet put on for our club’s award night (thank you again, Jewel, and the food manager) – there was a lot of us folks and we were all handled so wonderfully The set up during the day in the conference center was wonderful plenty of coffee and water and clean bathrooms! The hotel seemed full of guests, yet rooms were quiet and have to be the cleanest rooms, with attention to detail in the cleanliness of the room, we’ve stayed in Thank you!

What a wonderful stay at Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia, Missouri The staff were very friendly and helpful, took care of our every need Excercise room and pool were conveniently located and well stocked

Breakfast was delicious Dining staff very orderly and efficient even while very busy The room was very comfortable and the bed pillows were soft and inviting I really enjoyed my stay

Staff was super friendly and the hotel was nice and clean Only issue was the fact that kids were running all night up and down the hallway, screaming and playing It seems to be more of a family friendly hotel, it has a pool that was popular with the kids

We went for business so it was very hard to sleep with all the noise, as it would last past 11pm and we had to meet the client at 6am We will most likely choose another hotel next time we visit If ever we plan a family vacation to Columbia, we would definitely book again

I’ve stayed at this hotel 2xs now within a years time Each time has been wonderful, especially since the pandemic and economic collapse The patrons here at the hotel are always, always friendly

The breakfast and the socials are very good, paired with , again , friendly staff Even the laundry rooms remain clean without the funk smell of a laundromat My daughter and I where waiting to purchase some cotton candy at the pantry, and noticed the front desk had a line, we patiently waited, witnessed the front desk clerk deal with sighing, complaining customers checking in, one in particular was extremely rude, caused a scene, and yet the front desk remained calm 👏 Over all, I would definitely recommend anyone to come, the only down fall is the small parking lot, but other than that, they are a wonder team, and extremely clean

I’ve stayed at this hotel at least 20 times over the last three years because I travel to Columbia for work and I am always satisfied with my stay Lisa is an awesome manager and treats both the staff and patrons like family I don’t think she’s ever met a stranger

The breakfast and dinner that is offered is always on point Lisa has done a great job keeping this place together through some very volatile times Love it here
