EDITED:This was my first experience with this hotel, so I wanted to write a reviewThe room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was nice and everything was clean There was a smell upon entering the room, which I’m not big on cleaning chemicals personally, but with what’s going on I understand that some hotels use them

The AC is very powerful so be wary if you put it on too cold, as there are no fan settingsThere is an $18 a day Valet, and the valet was quick and attentive when needing the car The front desk was helpful and nice when checking inThe pool had some leaves in it but was overall clean and was enjoyable to useThere were a couple of little things that happened, but overall I would definitely stay again

My wife and I were transferred to this hotel from Staybridge Suites because they had room blockages What a break for us! Our stay and are room were GREAT! We had a balcony with a view and the front desk staff was just GREAT at his job His name is Joshua and he’s one of the friendliest front desk employees we’ve had the pleasure of dealing with

He recommended a restaurant for lunch it boy it did not disappoint Clean rooms, great service and a delicious complimentary breakfast what else could you ask for? We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we visit beautiful downtown St PetersburgChris & Nicole White

We recently spent a week from Jun 18 – 25; it was for business and family time, and it was great The hotel was kept clean The evening staff, Anthony, was great, he helped with same-day reservations, and he was very accommodating, he gave a few places to eat, and they were good

The breakfast area was a little messy in the morning, but that is due to other travels and kids not cleaning after themselves They ran out of items, but it is typical as we are going through this stage of inflation and shortage The room was clean; the only problem, which not sure if I mentioned to the front desk, was the pressure of water and the plumbing, the shower pressure was good some days, and others were slow The toilet will flush ok once; the next time, it will take forever due to the filling of the water bucket, but other than that, it was great; looking for more other weeks to book here again

I had always enjoyed stay at this hotel but my recent trip was quite a disaster After a late night checked in, I woke up to red stains on the carpet near my bed The desk clerk confirmed with housekeeping that these stains existed prior to my arrival

During departure however the front desk manager argued that my complaint should have been made earlier and that the stains were part of a cleaning solution from housekeeping The front desk manager was not apologetic nor empathetic of my complaint I have plenty of options in the St Pete area for my business day and have opted not to stay at this hotel Room 600 has visible red stains and guests should not be placed in this room until the rugs are cleaned properly It is pure neglect and front desk managers Should be trained to better address these types of complaints from guests Never argue with guests about cleanliness of the accommodations

Great location and cute boutique in a historic building It’s within walking distance to numerous restaurants , museums, and parks The room and bathroom were spacious

The rooftop bar is pretty at sunset Some negatives are that the lighting is very dim and there is no privacy with the curtains open for light Breakfast was basic and never changed throughout the week The AC was very loud so bring earplugs

Andy Walburg

Beautiful rooms, large bathrooms but the noise outside the window, wow! All rooms have a window facing a narrow enclosed courtyard In that area is the entrance for the hotel, the entrance for the canopy bar, and and an area used for special events On a Friday or Saturday night there are lots of people having way too much fun so you better have ear plugs

Even with the windows closed it is very loud outside

Scott Davis

My wife and I stopped by with our dog for lunch and were immediately treated like family by Peter our waiter who offered our dog a bowl of water and promptly took our drink orders Peter was great and we thoroughly enjoyed his personality and recommendations The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was awesome although a bit hot outside in July

We will certainly come back

Awesome location Walk right on to a great beach Nice heated pool

Rooms are individually owned and vary greatly Make sure you look at pictures of the exact room you are booking so you know what you’re getting Our room had a great setup Had 2 balconies and came with beach toys and chairs (although one chair was broken) Room could have used a little more upkeep and deep cleaning, but we didn’t spend much time in the room We were out enjoying the beach!

Linda Scott

The Island Inn is in a great location and the view from our room was spectacular! Staff was friendly However, the room was aged Decor on the walls was fitting and calming

But furniture, floors, baseboards, shower, bathroom area, closet doors all need repair or replacement Pool area clean and great, beach awesome It is sad to pay so much and not have updates and repairs needed To me the room felt like cleaning and upkeep isn’t a priority But I did love the view and pool!!!

Nichole Harrison

Awesome! Stayed in room 415, (the mermaid room) waterfront view of the Gulf It was very clean and nice, (looked newly renovated) had everything we needed We were able to cook on a two burner stove top and it also included a air fryer oven and full fridge

Our room had a king bed and a queen Murphy bed so we were able to sleep 4 With a couch/living space The grounds were really clean, everyone was so friendly, the staff was very accommodating The beachside bar was hopping and they serve snacks (pizza, cheeses sticks, etc) throughout the day Very centrally located, so easy to get to Can’t wait to go back

The hotel staff were all very nice They gave us suggestions for nice restaurants and beaches The breakfast was very good and complimentary

The cleaning crew were very discrete and managed to clean our room and provide fresh towels every day We will be back again We also used their complimentary shuttle back to the airport at 4:30 am which was a nice convenience All around a great experience

I rarely give 5 stars, so what I usually look for in a hotel es cleanliness, and good beds, any other amenities are not so important, however this hotel surpassed my expectationsWe had a 3 night reservation for this hotel, the first night there was an issue with the room and switched rooms the next day (the hotel was full, no rooms available), and even got a discount for the inconveniences, the breakfast was surprisingly good, most hotels now just barely offer coffee & a cookie, this hotel had : 2 types of cereal, 3 types of bread, cream cheese, butter, soy butter, almond milk, 2% milk, waffles, oatmeal, 3 types of tea, eggs, sausage, coffee, hot chocolate, cranberry juice, apple juice, orange juice, bananas & applesCoffee Maker in every room, clean towels, I am not a fan of the closet, I like drawers not hangers

The bed was super comfortable, the pillows too, the sheets were clean, I kept complimenting them cause I was very surprisedWe Checked out but decided to extend our stay so 1 hour later, called to check in again for an extra nightThe elevator was good, free parking, had water in the lobby, masks available upon request, overall, it’s a great option, the price is fair and friendly staff 👌My only recommendation would be employees should wear a mask when addressing mask wearing customers

This was my second time staying at this location I love this location due to the cleanliness, comfort, and customer service We absolutely love the pool area, the pool is heated and comfortable even on a cold day

The hot tub is plenty big, and there’s plenty of comfortable pool chairs and tables, grills to cook out, and it’s so clean! We love watching the airplanes take off while relaxing pool side Breakfast was kept well stocked and there was plenty to choose from The room was updated and the bed and pillows were so comfortable, I slept great Outside noise was minimal All staff members I encountered here were very helpful and kind I very sadly had to remove 1 star from my review due to our room not being ready upon check in We arrived 45 mins before check in, so we understood our room wasn’t ready Unfortunately the room was not ready until 1 hour after check in We sat in the lobby during said time, the lady at the front desk was kind and offered us a pool side seat I declined as I was extremely tired from just flying in, and I really just needed to lay in bed All in all, I will recommend this location to others and will likely stay here again

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any resort This website will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in the area

I’ve been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you will love it I’m sure!Clean rooms, nice furniture, comfy bed with pillows and chair, amenities were great (the fridge had a small freezer area inside), asked for extra shampoo and conditioner and the staff happily obliged, staff was friendly and helpful All in all, great! The ONLY small negative is that the bed was a tiny bit squeaky, but it wasn’t too bad honestly Would definitely stay again!

This was a nice hotel Beds were comfortable, not as clean as I would like but it was good for a night The people working at the check in desk were slow, and to make it longer they were chatting up other customers

One thing that surprised me was they had no complementary coffee or breakfast Like every Holiday Inn has free breakfast We were close to the airport I almost thought the plane flew up and took us away!!😂😂 Decent stay!! ( please note rooms are very dated)

My fiance and I came down for a motorcycle event for the weekend The hotel was clean & the staff was extremely professional and polite The gentleman that cleaned our room even took pics with our motorcycles

The overnights front desk staff allowed us to park our bikes under the covered entrance of the hotel so that we didn’t have to load them back on the trailer at 2 in the morning At check out the lady at the front desk took the time to ask us how our stay was and if there was anything that they could do better I will definitely stay here again Thanks you so much for your hospitality!!

C Tribel

The people are amazingly friendly! They do their best to make you feel welcome The hotel is like a motel, not a 3 star hotel Breakfast is awful!!! One ice maker working in the entire hotel

The TV is small, the room is dark, the beds are ancient This hotel and its amenities are from the early 90s Again, not the workers fault I usually don’t post bad reviews but this needs to be known Avoid!!!

My check-in experience at the Fairfield Inn and Suites St Petersburg Clearwater was absolutely wonderful Ms

Aisha who was behind the front desk when I arrived in the evening was very cheerful and respectful She thanked me for my loyalty as a Platinum Elite Member with Marriott She upgraded my room to a King Suite When she mentioned it was on an upper floor, I asked if there were any available on the 1st floor Ms Aisha took the time to look into the system and found there was a room that was open and was able to move me to a 1st floor King Bed suite And since my stay was during the holiday season, she wished me a “Merry Christmas!” as well, which was very nice to hear and I greeted her back Merry Christmas in kindUpon checking into my room, it was absolutely clean and spotless There was definitely a lot of care put into the room, especially with the complimentary coffee maker being included in the room (which were temporarily removed from most hotels and rooms last year at the start of the pandemic) and the amenity was definitely a welcoming surpriseI then went back to the front desk after bringing in my luggage to my room because I forgot to request for 4pm late checkout Ms Aisha was able to grant me that request and I definitely do appreciate her patience and cheery attitude as it was just a few nights before Christmas/into the holiday seasonThe free breakfast at the Fairfield Inn and Suites St Petersburg Clearwater was excellent It was a full hot breakfast that was offered and this hotel definitely went out of its way to show great hospitality to all the guests where other Marriott properties may have scaled down their food and beverage selections in light of the pandemic and supply chain issues As for what was offered: everything from scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, ham, plain and blueberry bagels, muffins, milk/juice, a full coffee station with optional tea bags and hot chocolate packs The breakfast attendant working the breakfast area was a wonderful young lady who always asked guests if they would like a milk or yogurt due to the mini-fridge being out of order She was also very pleasant to interact with I was wearing a Bowser face mask and she was able to recognize it from the Super Mario video games She brought up Universal Studios Orlando working on creating the Nintento World portion to their park and how excited we both were about its future opening Wonderful employee, I tipped her every morning I grabbed breakfast, she definitely deserves a lot of praiseThe fitness room was nice and quaint Two treadmills, and elliptical, and a rack of dumbbells and an adjustable weight bench I was able to get a decent workout in during my stayOverall, wonderful hotel Location is a bit odd as you have to enter the road it’s on by turning into what looks like a highway exit despite being on a local road However, it’s also conveniently very close to a Wendy’s and I was able to grab a quick dinner one nightThe Fairfield Inn and Suites St Petersburg Clearwater definitely does live up to the Marriott brand, and as a Platinum Elite Member, I would absolutely recommend staying here as the employees and management at this property put a lot of care into the service and rooms they provide for their guests

Our room very clean Chris was very helpful when we needed extra supplies for our room Breakfast was great every morning and the choices and freshness were perfect Gwen was very friendly and kept the breakfast area well stocked Thank you!! Cowboy and De from Virginia Beach, VA

Mike Guigli

I would give this hotel a five star rating for the service Most notably was Chris and Ale who we interacted with several times They were respectful and especially cheery; they just left us with a wonderful feeling

One thing to make sure you’re aware of is if you have a room that abuts another room with a doorway between the rooms you may want to ask for another room Despite the door it’s almost like you’re WITH the folks next-door The hotel designer or builder should have taken much more care with sound transmission

We stayed here overnight last night for New Years The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating The room was decent for the cost and nicely amenities

King bed was nice and pillows were comfortable The reason for the 3 star review is based on insulation and privacy When we returned at 2am the neighbors were up and talking and the noise flew through the adjoining room door We had to have the TV on to blend it out Everything else was acceptable but that is not conducive to a quiet evening with so little sound barrier

Patti Blake

I have stayed here multiple times The only complaint I have is when I first started staying here the gave you a bag with a breakfast in it like a muffin and piece of fruit and they offered coffee with different types of cream like French vanilla etc Now they only have coffee with plain cream

They do not offer the continental breakfast any more Over all its a great stay The breakfast not a big deal but man did I need my coffee The staff was also very nice

tom aschauer

Spent three nights and four days here Not once did they clean my room, give me fresh linens, take out the trash or change the towels The ice machine on my floor wasn’t working and there is a neighboring house to the back that has a rooster that crows all day long, so try and get a room close to the front of the building

Or just stay at the Quality Inn that’s about a half block north that looks like a much nicer place to stay Although I don’t know how the rates compare But for almost $800 I think I would have expected more

Beautiful hotel The front desk staff was absolutely amazing The front entrance is great and has a carport in case it rains your bags won’t get wet

The pool in the back is pretty awesome too The rooms have private entrances to the pool from your room – very nice touch They also have free snacks and the lobby such as hot fresh popcorn

Benjamin Spargur

I stay and Holiday Inn Express hotels all over the country and even one in Italy and this one is slightly below average The staff was good but the room was a little rough and the bathroom and tub need some work One of the male hosts at the front desk was waiting for a couple to make a decision and got mad at me and told me “You will wait” when I asked to checkout a food item

The breakfast was good but ending at 9 am does not cater to vacationers

Paul Nalepa

Over the last 4 nights I stayed at 3 different Holiday Inns and this one seems the best Their breakfast had the best selections, all items were stocked at all times, and they even had an Egg-white veggie omelette Kids loved the automatic pancake maker…A Pond with Ducks outside your window, but overshadowed by High-Power electric lines…

Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here I am a Marriott Gold Member and the hotel was very dated The first room I checked into had a dirty toilet seat and an air condition vent that sounded like a JET was taking off

I moved to a second room and at 3 am the SMOKE DETECTOR went off blaring then it happened again at 5 am They replaced the detector the next day I had to ask to be compensated and the front desk Manager Tanya was less than pleasant and not apologetic I was attending a business training at the hotel and there were ants all over the coffee machine and stale bagels and expired soda were served The employees helping out with the training were very friendly and helpful which was a bright side to the trip

Sam Singh

I was there at the beginning of the month in my monthly training at MGE… we got in super late after a 4 hour drive… I was very tiered when we got to the room we noticed it was a bit warm … long story short the AC was broken! Called the front desk and told them… not only did they immediately change our rooms but the brought the key to our door so we did not have to go back to the lobby!! In the middle of the night this was awesome

Schlandra Fall

Me and my family went here on a short vacation This was an experience we will never forget The bed was horribly uncomfortable, the pillows were to soft they did not support our necks my husband and I barley slept due to this issue

The ice maker on the floor was so dirty that I would never ever ever even think about getting ice from there They charged for the WiFi 1295 a day Parking was at a minimum because they are repaving the parking lot The restaurant does not have a kid friendly menu or reseasonable prices The room floors are hardwood so when room service came they should have sweept the floor but all they did was make the bed and put out new towels We decided that we will not stay here again when we go back to Florida

The staff was phenomenal! From front desk to the housekeepers to valet… they most definitely kept me coming back! The bar and the food was excellent as wellThat being said, I understand it is an older boutique hotel but if you are sensitive to sounds, this will be a bother You can hear everything above you and outside your door very easily, even as simply as someone moving around above you walking or people walking past your room

Not a lot sound of sound proofing and kept me up, it almost felt like apartment style livingHotel staff is very great but structurally, needs improvements & kept me up at night

The building is older, the elevator is slow and the rooms aren’t perfect but it’s heritage architecture, and I liked my time at The Exchange a lot, enjoying two different stays so far ~ including New Years The staff are a huge plus (front desk staff are awesome, including Latorra) and the location is great if you’re into downtown nightlife or a walk by the water I stayed with my dog Leroy and there was no stress, with lots for him and I to do nearby

The small menu has a vegan option for me (Hummus Sandwich, very good), Leroy went crazy for the baked (not fried) chicken wings and Jordan makes a mean drink at the stylish bar There’s some work to do, sure, but I’m super happy I found The Exchange; it’s reasonably priced, clean and fun, fun fun

T

My family and I had a fantastic time staying here The architecture was beautiful and the location was perfect—within walking distance to all of our events, near a lot of great restaurants, and close to the shore The staff was extremely accommodating and professional, helping us out whenever we asked, always kind and courteous

Valet was friendly, helpful, and funny I didn’t catch the name, but the two guys who rotated while we were there were wonderful

Hotel looks very nice, but my daughter was BIT by either a bedbug or a flea! I was laying in the bed feeling very itchy, so I thought I’d go and take a shower to see if that helped I moved to the other bed in the double Queen room and was fine A few minutes later, my daughter complained itching and something biting her

Low and behold, she had three visible bites from laying in the very same spot I was laying in The front desk manager didn’t offer any kind of refund but the lady working the night shift brought us clean sheets My daughter refused to sleep in the bed after getting bit so I sacrificed for my child’s comfort, and went back to the itchy bed I felt something crawling in my hair and felt itchy most of the night Sadly, I was told by the hotel manager, Erin, that only housekeeping could verify if there were live bugs, which is quite comical since fleas and bedbugs are very tiny and hard for the eye to see as it is!!!! She basically kept saying it might have been a mosquito and made me to feel as if my claim was invalid which was quite insulting She definitely could have taken care of me by offering some kind of refund credit My total was $179 and some change after taxes she just kept repeating we were staying at a discounted price already and she could offer me a free drink or food item from their snack bar I would have been a returning customer if they would have taken care of me but bugs and bites are a HUGE NO FOR ME!!!! Terrible Poor business Poor management So disappointed!!!! I asked my daughter to show me her bites, and yes she got three visible bites from laying in that bed!!! I have one bite on my leg as well but it’s all in my head, right? People beware!!!! You will most likely have the same issue and be made out to seem as if you’re making it all up… I was told pest control just came and sprayed Tuesday so obviously they have a problem with pests to begin with GO SOMEWHERE ELSE UNLESS YOU WANT BUG BITES!!!

Do not stay at this place My card was charged THREE times and all were for the wrong amount Read entire review

Upon checking in I find my fire alarm in my room is beeping LOUDLY I go to the front desk to see what can be done It was late so no maintenance was available The clerk, who was very nice, called her manager to see what to do There were no other available rooms like the one I reserved, the manager offered to split up my party, take two rooms at twice the cost or remove the fire alarm ( saves lives) and I said absolutely not, the manager replied, you can check out if you want thenAt that point it was 10pm and I was ready to get sleep I had to take couch from the front lounge to stand on to reach the fire alarm to take it off the wall I’m 6ft tall and I was on a couch on the tips of my feet to get this off the wallAfter my stay, I received a online survey about my stay I and answered it honestly and politelyI am back in town this upcoming week for work, again, I booked a stay here, again, as it’s 12 miles from where I have to beErin called me just now and revoked my reservation due to me leaving a negative review What type of business does this?!My first name is Jack and my last name starts with the letter S If the owner of this hotel are my review, please call me

I have stayed at many hotels in my time THIS particular location has been amazingTo be honest, the service here was the best I have had

We had a home issue and had to get out of the house while it’s getting fixed and I’m SO GRATEFUL that this is where we landed for 25 weeks My cat had to come with us and they were beyond accommodating They beat the price listed on any app by paying them directly I prefer to do my own room service and they allowed me to use their cleaning supplies including vacuum and all The manager Jeff Was so kind and you could just really tell that he takes pride in his job and the hotel That’s not something you see much anymore, and it was genuineAnd no, nobody asked me to write this review but I wanted to It’s spring break and everything was booked Every Airbnb and nice hotel on the beach… booked full It was some miracle that we found a place to stay and I would definitely recommend it

This hotel still feels new for the most part Nothing was broken or out of commission in my room or elsewhere The bathtub has a nice insert on the bottom that provides good traction

I’m not sure why that’s not standard everywhere Staff were helpful and friendly with one exception, whom also recoded my door key when I said it wouldn’t open my room I just told her my room number, didn’t even ask my name to confirm I should have access to said room — concerning

Jennifer Nguyen

The location is convenient, but driving off a fast expressway and trying to turn into the hotel is a little dangerous at times We called room service a few occasions for more towels and other misc items and always had to come down to get our items, apparently there is only one person working at the front desk Breakfast is mostly hard broiled eggs, 2 waffle machines, bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee station and packets of oatmeal

We were disappointed that there were no scrambled eggs or sausage Our room was nice and clean, but a little tight Wish there was a little more counter space to put our stuff There was only a small desk and one nightstand The closet by the door smelled bad, like it hasn’t been ventilated for a very long time The maid was always friendly and tended to our needs

This hotel is fun, funky, and cool! Rooms are basic but stylish and immaculately clean Lots of great hang out space to meet other guests and staff is friendly and helpful Unbelievable location– easy walking distance or quick Uber to world-class attractions, local restaurants, and shopping

The Tap Room restaurant in The Avalon’s sister property next door has great food and is open early and late for sit down, quick bites, or something from the bar Would absolutely recommend staying here Only suggestion to improve the experience: an in room mini fridge would be really nice and our room could have used a second lamp

What a nice place to stay if you are visiting St Pete the staff welcomed warmly and the room was small but very clean and just what you need

It is an older building that has all charm and a good location to spend time being a tourist in St PeteI would absolutely stay here again when we visit the area They offer wine in the afternoon and they have this great outside porch to just relax and enjoy your wine and spend a few moments in peace

Last minute stop for the night with the kiddos Jennifer at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Her customer service is top notch! I haven’t felt this taken care of in a long time She knows everything about this cute gem and will ensure you’re taken care of! We’re super excited to put in our breakfast order and have it brought to our room in the morning! Our room is very clean and the price was good for the area

No complaints I would stay here again on our next adventure Especially if Jennifer is still here!!

We entered the lobby the smell is horrible! The floors are uneven and covered with carpet The AC leaked on the carpet huge wet spot! Throughout the years the re-painting and remodeling that has been done is subpar I thought it would be cool because it was historical when we got there we realized we had made a huge mistake! The staff was nice! The pool was fantastic! Don’t get a corner room near the intersection or you will not get a good nights rest! Single paned windows

Lastly we really enjoyed watching the drug deals at the Shell gas stationed across the street! At night nobody buys gas they park at the pump Wait for the kid to show up on the bicycle after that cars take off! It was a great source of entertainment Definitely will not be back! Breakfast was a joke!

This is an Old historic hotel, so take it for what it is and appreciate it The rooms are spacious and cozy The staff is so accommodating and on point

The place is well taken care of It is a pet friendly place and I must say it does not smell like dog in the premises In the morning the coffee ran out, and the staff was quick to run out with a small pot while the big pot was brewing so no one had to wait They really care about the property and take pride Housekeeping left extra towels and toiletries folded so cute on the bed on our 2nd day,and I appreciate these details Breakfast delivered to the room was a special treat!!! Simple and tasty!!! I can go on and on

The staff was friendly and helpful but the cleaning staff need to be fired Every surface starting from the elevator door, tiled floors to the furniture in the rooms have not been wiped in a long time I had to wipe down all the furniture in my room due to the visible finger prints ,dirt and dust

The bed linens appeared clean The rugs were filthy The rooms and furniture are visibly dated and the hotel has an “old” smell to it I would not stay here again We paid $180/night including taxes Not exactly cheap for this level of hotel The breakfast was also not great Pretty bland

The was by far the filthiest place I’ve ever stayed Well

I didn’t stay I left!!! I will NEVER go v to this hotel again I had an asthma attack when I walked in the room The cart was filthy, so filthy i didn’t want to put my clothes on it The outside looked like it never been cleaned ever It STUNK BADLY!!! Then the front desk person had the nerve to charge me for the room even though i couldn’t breathe in this nasty place

FloridaStateFan 2017

I stayed at this hotel before heading to Miami for a cruise, and all I can say is that it’s not really up to par with some other hotels within the regionOne positive aspect of the hotel is that the staff members are quite friendly; especially one of whom who just so happens to be an Atlanta Braves fan (Go Braves!!) Another great aspect of the hotel was its coffee

It didn’t as bad as I thought typical hotel coffee would The rooms themselves also looked quite innocent and clean, including the carpetThe main negatives that I have about the hotel just so happens to be within the bathroom and bed In my room, the bed sheets looked somewhat wrinkled and only had half pillows available The worst of the negative aspects took place in the bathroom, where I found small black hairs (some long hairs, too) inside the bathtub (“Bwaaa!” [Hank Hill])!Overall, this was not my ideal stay at a hotel in Florida; and I had better experiences in my past, especially at a hotel in Kennesaw, GeorgiaTo the staff members who DO see this review, I’m sorry if this sounded a bit harsh, but there are some things that you need to improve on

I usually have no issues with IHG hotels but this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had Luckily we were only there one night Dirty dirty rooms!Upon check-in, the first room we were sent to smelled like someone had just been smoking in there

The cigarettes smell was very strong and I thought they accidentally sent us to a smoking room I called the front desk and the response when I said it smelled like someone had been smoking in there was “I’m not sure maybe it’s haunted” What a unprofessional and awkward thing to say We asked to switch roomsThe second room we were given smelled even worse Immediately upon walking in it smelled like bleach and chlorine There was also a small mold air purifying machine in there with words that literally said “warning, do not use when space is occupied” We told the desk again and the clerk said “oh yeah I forgot, I can just take out the machine” We said absolutely not We’re not staying in a room that has mold and reeks of bleach when we have 2 toddlers with usThe last room we were given smelled fine But all the rooms were dirty, especially in the bathrooms The showers had a film of dirt or sand on the bottom We all ended up wearing flip flops in there because we didn’t want to put our bear feet on the groundOverall I would sleep in my car before paying to stay at this hotel again

Joe Bullen

Danny at the front desk provided outstanding customer service I booked a room with a king-sized bed online However, the hotel had no more rooms with a king-sized bed, so he upgraded me to a suite at no extra charge

There was a burned out light in the room The room had a slight moldy smell that set me sneezing after showering Walls are thin so bass and conversation from other rooms does carry into your room Deducting a point for this factAlso, beds here are not nearly as comfortable as other Holiday Inn Express hotels Might go back to Doubletree again I just think this hotel might need updating Bathrooms were clean though

Greg S

This is such a great hotel and Danny at the front desk was so very helpful All the staff has be very nice and courteous This place is so clean and the up lighting in the rooms is amazing

The location is great for vacation you can be to the north or south end of the county in 20 minutes It’s also only about 20 minutes to Tampa or 45 minutes to Bradenton Thier breakfast is great also

This Hilton was definitely one of the better Hilton properties I’ve stayed at recently Unfortunately, I’ve found that Hilton’s standards have declined DRASTICALLY ever since the onset of COVID-19, but this hotel thankfully has managed to preserve the Hilton standards I once knew and loved The property was impeccably clean

The room was drop dead silent at night and the bed and its linens were excellent I slept like a baby at this hotel My only critique that is NOT a fault of the hotel is that there aren’t many dining options nearby Most restaurants will be a 10-15 minute drive, so if restaurant proximity matters to you as a traveler you may want to consider somewhere else Nonetheless, I’d recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a resort This site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I’m sure! The staff at this location were all wonderful and hotel is beautiful Our Jr suit was very spacious and pretty modern The only thing I recommend is eating out The LuX restaurant is super expensive and tasteless We had a better breakfast at a local Cafe named Cosmos Other than that everything including the pool and the nature trail were beautiful Wish you would modify the pool hours since there is some people that can only go in at night
