Quaint and extremely convenient to little shops and places to eat in Lewes We literally walked to a nearby pavilion to listen to a live band after dinner The hotel itself had the feel of old, classic, beach

There were beautiful fresh flowers and the staff were friendly and professional The room itself (we reserved the last available) was a nice size, corner – very clean It could have easily accommodated a king bed, but had a queen in it That being said, the bed was very comfortable with good pillows and bedding – very important to us It had an interior cooling unit which I normally do not prefer, but this one was fairly quiet and did not distract The TV was in a cabinet and quite small, but since we were not there to watch TV, we didn’t care Our friends were in a different room with a king bed, big TV, and nice balcony – we would try to reserve that room type for a future, long trip The bathroom was traditional without issue The morning breakfast appeared to offer what we would enjoy, but since we had breakfast plans elsewhere, we did not partake Overall, we liked this hotel and would return

We had often seen the Inn and when we reviewed it online it looked wonderful We were disappointed! Our room on the 4th floor was dated or out-dated! The room smelled musty The rugs did not appear to be clean

The furniture was old and was not inviting because it looked dirty The mattress was one of the worst ever and yet the bedding gave a great appearanceThe continental breakfast was fine and had a lot of varietyUnfortunately, we would not recommend the Inn as it did not meet the expectations we have come to expect!

Great in every way If you want a peaceful place to stay right in the very heart of everything that is walkable in the town of Lewes, this is the place Everything, including restaurants, shopping etc is just outside the door of the hotel

The staff here is top notch, pleasant and answers all your questions Rooms are very clean, well taken care of This is an older building so the rooms are, as they say, just big enough Nice parks and places to walk around Even the beach is only about a 15 min walk across the canal Places close early in the evening so plan accordingly Keeps it peaceful and quiet unlike the typical shore town Read up on the parking so you don’t have issues You really can ditch the car while here

Our stay at Hotel Rodney was perfect! Barbara at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating We looked everywhere for a place to stay and ended up parking in downtown Lewes We saw Hotel Rodney and decided to pop in to see if there were any rooms available- and there was a perfect room for us! Barbara helped us get settled and recommended places to eat

The hotel is beautiful and historic I would definitely return to Hotel Rodney when in Lewes again and to see Barbara!! -the girls from 203 🙂

We had a very nice family stay here All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and professional Tim, the bartender was hilarious and helpful

The man who drove the shuttle to the beach was very kind to my kids The whole vibe of the place was relaxing and the fact they have 2 pools (one for kids) is a nice touch Our family suite was spotless No it is not cheap but if you are willing to splurge I doubt there is a better hotel in Rehoboth Beach

This is such a lovely, clean, comfortable, non-corporate hotel and spa, with a terrific staff, specifically Erica, who went out of her way to make our little weekend getaway/escape so memorable and fantastic! Clearly, Erica knows how to treat her guests with nothing shy of the utmost respect and courtesy Delicious hot breakfast (included), very clean rooms, beds, sheets, towels etc, and conveniently located in the heart of it all

Highly recommended, and quite reasonably priced to boot We will return with 100% certainty A+++++

The Hotel itself is great It’s common spaces are beautiful, the grounds are lovely, the location is perfect, and the staff was great The spa was a welcome addition

My gripe was with the room and some of the amenities I paid an exorbitant amount for a two night stay in a junior suite Which is basically the equivalent of an oversize room with a wet bar and a jacuzzi tub You could tell that these rooms were upgraded in the past to achieve a higher level of clientele I have a feeling this was some time ago as a lot of things required maintenance The layout of my room seemed to be poorly laid out and was an incredible waste of space I have a feeling this is as a result of trying to cram a program into an existing hotel The finishes were dated, and the toilet rocked There’s no housekeeping unless it is specifically requested, they clean once you leave My biggest gripe is the wifi At $700 a night I’d expect the wifi to work Once the evening hit it was impossible to connect I suspect it was do to traffic on the system That’s a fairly easy upgrade, that should be a no brainer for a high end hotel As a professional I also had issue with the stair door at the first floor level near the dining room The door was missing hardware This is a code violation Stair doors, according to the building code, are required to close and latch to protect the occupants in the shaft in the event of a fire emergency The door could not latch, because it had no hardware The lack of attention to routine maintenance was kind of a bummer, I’d expect more for what it costs I’d go back to Rehoboth, I don’t think I’d pay the amount of money I paid to stay at the Bellmoor again Maybe if it were at a severely reduced rate I feel like we could have done better for what it costs, but I could be wrong

I recently stayed at the blue water houseAfter my stay, I received a voicemail from Rick A screenshot of the transcription of this message is attached to this review

The tone and contents of his message are so far beyond unprofessional that they cannot even be measured on that scaleThis message is flatly insulting to both me and my wife It is also harassing and threatening I won’t accept being spoken to like thisAs a follow up to this message, I called Rick back at my first convenience He told me “I’m with a guest” and ended the call Not long after, I received a call from Tony, who offered very little reason for the outburst other than to sheepishly try to explain away the actions of his boss by telling me that he’s “a high stress guy” and “a hothead”None of this did or does anything to make up for the awful words of Rick I told Tony that I would appreciate an APOLOGYIt has now been a week and I have not received any such apologyTo add additional context to my disappointment, we were also given the incorrect room Also attached to this review is my confirmation in the Key LIME room, we were given the inferior Key LARGO room and told they’re all the same they are notDuring our 2 night stay, we left the room for several hours during which time we switched our door placard from “Do not disturb” to “please clean room” and nothing was touchedPlease do not stay here unless you want to be harassed and threatened for normal use of a rented room

No way to describe this key west themed, small and low key funky! A sensational treat for your senses from fabulous bronzes to the Manager’s son’s art—every wall in room and hallways and all 3 floors! As friendly as it gets, the Blue Water offers up a breakfast that is overwhelming and delicious! Homemade by Tony…”I have pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, omelettes, chainsaw alerts, vegetable omelette, any breakfast meat you’d like I made fresh muffins this morning along with health bars and a special spice cake”There are bagels cereals and anything to go out for a quick American breakfast if you like that instead of feasting out!

This used to be one of the best places to stay in Cape May we stayed there for over 20 years the food was awesome the owner was a sweet heart who really cared about her guest experiences Unfortunately she passed away a couple of years ago My rating is for how it was then, Now its under new management

And since we have not been back and do not plan on going back (read further) I cannot give it a fair rating I can only advise based on my past experienceI just looked at the website and was thinking of booking for October of this year our usual time to book there I was utterly shocked at the cost of the rooms I understand they renovated but those prices are simply outrageous With no extras, no breakfast included ,that was one of those things anyone who booked there looked forward too every year Also saw another reviewer from May of this year confirming that things are not like they were over there I for one will be staying clear of the new Inn of Cape MayI will just have to enjoy the memories of what it once was and the many happy years our family had there when my daughter was growing up

This review is about the decor only I haven’t stayed there; I just walked through The decor is not befitting a Victorian inn, nor does it seem cohesive

Here are just a few things I noticed:1) All the rocking chairs that were once on the porch are now on the lawn There is barely any lawn left, just a sea of chairs They’re set up in rows, as if for a game of musical chairs And you cannot see the ocean either, so you’re staring at Beach Ave2) Now, “The Porch” is actually a named lounge area (with many sofas facing AWAY from the ocean) It is set up with tables for two as well If you’re the type who might just want to go read a book on the porch while sitting in a rocking chair, it isn’t set up for that now3) The restaurant is minimalist—to a fault It almost looks unfinished—no plants, no flowers, just bare black and white I prefer the coziness of a Victorian inn (which is the expectation when people go to Cape May)4) The bar itself looks the same, but the chairs are black and white wicker—-which contrasts sharply with the mahogany bar5) The lobby looks very neat and clean The chairs are old, though, and many don’t seem to go together (lack of cohesiveness, as I mentioned)Overall, I think longtime customers of the Inn at Cape May will be disappointed with the current decor

Liz Wilson

This is a beautiful, historic building with plenty of charm, right across the street from the water The hotel restaurant was very good (we tried both their breakfast and dinner), I’d go back just for the food The location is amazing, and the vintage elevator is a must-see as well

But you are primarily trading comfort for style The layout of the room was awkward and made no sense, as do many older hotels However, the big issues I had were the pillows that were paper thin, a very squeaky ceiling fan, and no extra blankets (in late fall) All in all, I didn’t sleep well during my time there I consider it more of a cool experience to do once, rather than any desire to stay there again

The hotel sits behind another business so I passed it coming in Looks better online & Price doesn’t match the accommodations to me Breakfast is continental, rooms are small, pool area is small & the gym is just a treadmill & an elliptical

To me the price should be maybe $200 a night (for holiday prices) instead of the $365 I paid per nightThought when I booked a suite I would have a small studio apartment feel but it’s just a regular room with a table, a microwave & a mini fridge for some razzle dazzleLoved the front desk staff & the location is good 3-5 miles from the major attractions of the area Also kind of like that the housekeeping is by request instead of someone just coming in your room

Tareen C

Location great and rooms were pretty clean

BUT the bed was rock hard Extremely uncomfortable Especially for a hotel called Sleep Inn Woke up at my 5am and started packing Couldn’t extend my reservation Not with so many quality hotels in the area on the same stripYes!! the bed made it a horrible experience!Complained to the manager She went to check it and says “its bouncy” Will never return Since when do rocks bounce? Then tried to convince me it was most likely due to me having MS Despite have a friend with me vouching it was similar to sleeping on the floorBaffled at the level of ignorance and lack of empathyI had to leave the premises to avoid reciprocating the energy I was receiving!!

Mallory Short

First of all

if you’re going to give this place only 3 or 4 stars because they aren’t cleaning up after you every day or making your bed, then you’re ignorant! Everything and everyone about this place is so great! Not only are they so friendly, but they literally take time out of their day to ask how our stay is going, if we need anything or even recommendations for food places They are so kind to my son It feels like home when you come in here They recommended a perfect beach for my little 15 month old explorer He was terrified of the ocean the first day We went to Lewes beach, and he went into the water up to his waist Would have never gone if it wasn’t for the lady at the front desk The kiddy pool, the people that are staying, EVERYTHING! Down to the cleaning staff and breakfast gal Judy was such a pleasant worker She will make you be okay with a morning person around haha I will recommend this place to everyone and anyone If you’re complaining about room size then get a suite We had more than enough room and not to mention the bathroom actually smelt clean!!! I didn’t have to wipe stuff down when I came in I stayed in a 4 star hotel a couple weeks ago and it was the worst And the staff were just so miserable This place from what I see is a 2 start hotel which should be 10 stars because THEY ARE TOO AMAZING NOT TO BE! Thank you for having an amazing hotel for my little family to be at! We will be back!

We had a great stay The staff was friendly and efficient when checking in Our room was very very clean (and I am picky)

The included in the room were all exactly what we needed Microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, wine opener and cups The room size was nice The fireplace was needed for the damp May weather this year The bed was comfortable and parking was perfect So many restaurants within walking distance Would definitely recommend staying here

thomas burns

One of the nicest places we have ever stayed Staff is friendly and service was first rateRoom was large, plenty of room (we travel a lot, and one thing i cannot stand is hotel room claustrophobia lol) and very well appointed

Comfortable bed and furnishings, bathroom was huge and well laid out Fireplace was a very nice touch Location was excellent also; very close to everything; easy to get to alsoHotel staff is very knowledgeable about the area as well10/10, highly recommend and WILL stay there again!!!!

Mark Ratzlaff

Great location

just a few minutes’ walk from tons of great little shops and restaurants The rooms are large and *beautiful* and perfectly clean; the fantastic staff knows each room individually and will recommend the best one for your needs The bathrooms are large, with unique lighting under the translucent sinks that made perfect “nightlights” We appreciated the separate “water closet”Sadly, the bed was the hardest piece of furniture in the room the wife ended up on the couch The wifi was slow when I could connect at all my phone seems ok with it, but it refused to talk to my notebook at all The few electrical outlets are mostly already in use; I unplugged the clock so I could charge my phone

The Residence Inn in Rehoboth Beach provided an exceptional experience Beautiful modern decor The fire pit is amazing this time of year; and conveniently located outside of the hotel bar which is great for smokers

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs The size of the sitting area in our suite is one aspect I wasn’t too happy with It was impossible to walk around the bed once you deploy the pull out couch Our kitchenette didn’t include an oven either which was listed in the amenities when I booked online However, I do believe some suites include a full kitchen area My advice is to call and confirm with the desk after making an online reservation to ensure your room has everything to fit your needs Other than that, this hotel has a laundry area, a tasty complimentary breakfast and so much more! Use the Bonvoy Marriott app for added perks ,like chatting with the front desk and no contact check-in Turns your phone into a key to access the many amenities within the property which is beyond convenient!

We will definitely be back 🎇👍🏖️

I stay at Marriott properties quite often, and this was a great place! Centrally located, close to everything Outlet shopping, restaurants, the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, and Cape Henlopen State Park Quiet, clean rooms

Complimentary buffet breakfast was OK, not a lot of choices but enough to get by Egg omelets, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, bread, fruit, a waffle station and coffee, tea and juice Staff was friendly and always greeted me when I came through the door

hunter kahl

As a titanium member … It is honestly laughable that this place charges the rates it does It is a nothing better than a road side motel that operates in price gouging of the highest degree

when asked for a member benefit they said don’t offer late checkout in the summer … even though Marriot guarantees it for titanium members Never had an issue with the other 100 Marriot properties I stayed at Plus the property was empty and three of the front staff were just hanging around because the property was dead Won’t be back

Nice hotel The only complaint is the bathrooms are small They replaced the old continental breakfast with warm breakfast options which you pick from and they have it ready at the time specified

I would like to see the pop-tarts, mini- donuts ,etc for those who just want a snack type breakfast They do have muffins, bagels and a waffle maker The staff is super friendly and helpful Parking lot is tight Easy access to the beach Our family has been coming to this hotel for a week in the summer for 30+ years

Whitney Stevenson

First time to the Delaware beaches and we absolutely loved our stay at the Atlantic View!! Perfect for kids with pool and right on the beach with direct access Loved that they had complimentary beach chairs, breakfast, and cookies each night Staff was amazing and very friendly/helpful

Rooms are clean – the bathrooms are small but other than that it was the perfect spot!

Kristy Leppla

We really enjoyed our stay The place is clean, staff is friendly We loved the breakfast and the cookies in the evening

Wine and cheese offered every night and can’t beat the location, steps away from the beach The pool is a little small and we could hear people walking around in the room above us late at night Those are the only two complaints They even gave both of my girls balloons for their birthday We will be back!

What a great hotel & great staff all day everyday of our stay! Everything was clean, bottles of water, cookies & apples were complimentary all dayThe room has every thing you may need to enhance your stay The only thing that didn’t work was the toaster

I requested another one & it was promptly brought up to the room, however, it produced too much smoke to be used in a hotel room right under the sprinkler, lolThank you to everyone on duty 4/5 – 4/7 front desk, housekeeping & maintenance!

About a 10 min drive to the beach which we loved Rooms are very clean and cute the hotel had a great selection for breakfast overall we enjoyed the stay The reason I dnt give it 5 stars is because our refrigerator was not working so I could not keep my beverages cold

And also the mattress was not the best the size was good but it was not comfortable Digital check in was a plus

The hotel it’s self was awesome Came down to Spread my mothers ashes with my sister Everything was perfect

As we thought, I was double charged, i called the front desk to have it resolved Ms Bobbie was absolute nightmare she was nasty from the beginning to end She clearly doesn’t know how to speak to a customer The issue was that Hilton had double charged, claiming that they hadn’t got the funds from bookingcom, so that allowed them to charge my other card without authorization She constantly cut me off, talked down to me, threaten that her manager was right there ( which i cant believe the manager allowed her to speak to a customer like that ) and hung up the phone on me after i simply asked her did it get refunded? In the end, i received a call left me know that I am getting refund from Hilton it was a mess and honestly embarrassing for the company to have an employee like that representing them I filed a compliment with Hilton & Booking I truly hope this a learning experience for Ms Bobbie

First time booking a room there and was checked in by a very pleasant and friendly host or concierge Had to wait a bit because the room wasn’t ready-but was told I could go upstairs near the pool to wait and also was told there were a men’s room as well as a beverage machine available When I was told my room was ready, it was immaculate! No dust, no lint nor a spec of trash anywhere! Only was there for 1 night but nevertheless enjoyed my stay and will return again for a longer duration!

I have gone here every year since I was a toddler! It’s a fantastic place! The pool is cool too, and it’s good because you can swim without getting sandy or worrying about losing your pool toys It’s a very comfy place with a good vibe in general, and I really like the mural in the stairwell The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very comfy

It’s also very close to the beach and to various stores so everything is in a walking distance!

Have stayed here twice before, and am have a room reserved again this summer The only place I will stay in Rehoboth Rooms are always clean

Staff is friendly and very accommodating I requested more pillows and towels from housekeeping while I went out for the day, came back to both of those requests fulfilled The price is always the best in the area for what you’re getting

Albert Blevins

Scott was wonderful and accommodating when I called to make a reservation Location was close to everything Room was nice

Felt safe at night with a well lit parking lot and we stayed in the section that had room doors inside and has a lobby door that was locked from 6pm to 8am Price was great We stayed during the “off” season at the beginning of March The building looks great, clean and well maintainedThey were doing some maintenance and remodeling and getting ready for the upcoming season Will stay here again during our next trip

I spent two nights here with my dad One on race weekend, and an extra night for the rain out In total a 2 day stay

We love the anchorage! The woman at the front desk is nice & helpful, they offer complimentary coffee & tea in the mornings The Anchorage is located on coastal 1 so the highway can be loud, plus on race weekend, people are enjoying themselves and being a bit loud Bring ear plugs! The rooms were clean, and they had shampoo & soap samples in the bathroom for your convenience We love to weigh anchor here!

This is a very quaint Inn with a focus on sustainability and Dogfish (obviously)! If you like what Dogfish is all about then you’ll like this place The room was clean and the attendants were very nice/helpful The fire pit outside was great for sitting around and chatting with other guests after dark

There are free bikes you can take to ride around town You’re within walking distance of some good restaurants We’ll definitely be going back, as long as we book well in advance

Julie Blichmann

Quaint town with an eclectic inn If you’re looking for posh, skip this place If you’re looking for simple, clean and comfortable, this is the place to stop!Spent two nights here in January, so taking advantage of their bicycle rental, was not even considered! There are several restaurants in walking distance and the room has a refrigerator and microwave

We will definitely choose this place to stay whenever we make it back!

Jessica Stewart

I almost hate to post this review, as we love this place and want to ensure we can still get space We have stayed at this hotel both as a couple before children and as a family of four We loved it for different reasons

The location to beach and town is great, the beds are amazing, the place thinks of all the little items: fire pit (although miss the smoke from the real fire as helped to control mosquitoes), items to borrow, and the specialty things like the growler, etc We plan to continue to come back (hopefully every year!

Horrible service, poor quality rooms The rooms were damp The beds were extremely uncomfortable

My wife and I could barely sleepThe pillows were half the size of a normal pillow The tv had no signal The hallways reeked of weed When I asked multiple times for a blanket for the bed due to sub-par sheets and blankets on the bed originally, I was told no that they didn’t have one So a whole hotel doesn’t apparently have a single blanket The staff was rude when I asked as well I can’t believe I spent 1,000 dollars for 3 nights for this place I’ll make sure every other website they’re on gets the same review

Jenna Kealer

Average at best hotel Not worth the expensive price in the summer Walls were paper thin so you can hear everything in the hallways and the rooms next door

Our hairdryer in the room did not work so we called the front desk to ask for a replacement and they did absolutely nothing about it, and basically said “sorry, we don’t have an another” You cannot advertise online that we would have a working hairdryer in the room if it does not work and you have no solution to fix it Towels were small and scratchy Would recommend staying somewhere else if you are staying in Dewey Beach

Mark Bortle

Great room for the price 2 minute Walk to beach On beach side

Great assortment of coffee in lobby including hot chocolateParking wasn’t a problem, 18ft truckWithin walking distance of some great restaurants and novelty shops

Brighton Suites is perfect for families who prefer separate seating area from sleeping This is what attracted me to begin with The location is another perk, blocks away from the beach and from main street, yet away from the hustle and bustle making it for quiet evenings

Check in was super easy and quick Hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful The room was clean and the ac worked great The pull out bed wasn’t exactly up to par for sleeping The beds were ok on a comfort level, however this is always a hit or miss with hotels, depending upon personal preference on what you prefer The pool was nice being rooftop with the glass roof and opening to the outside It was perfect for our daughter to enjoy The chairs and beach towels being available was nice, as we didn’t have to track extra sand home The layout of the hotel is neat, with having an open feeling on each floor We couldn’t of had a better experience

Meredith Harvill

We really enjoyed our stay at Brighton Suites Hotel The room was cozy for our family of 3 and you cannot beat the location The walls were a little thin while we watched TV in the front room, but it didn’t bother our family when we were sleeping in the bedroom

The staff were all very friendly and the maids were very quick to make the beds while we went to breakfast I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again Also, they had the best hotel shampoo/conditioner I have ever used, which may not matter to most people, but it matters to me because my hair didn’t feel like hay after washing it We also thought the beds were comfortable

Nadine Grabania

We have been coming to Rehoboth for 30 years because it is by far our favorite town among East Coast beach towns Very happy to find Brighton Suites for a much needed getaway in early April The location in the center of town was perfect for walks at any time of day, and our 3rd floor room had a huge sliding window offering an appealing view of town, trees, and a glimpse of ocean just down the street

The suite layout with separate sitting room/kitchenette takes this experience one step up from a typical hotel room The rooftop deck was undergoing maintenance for the start of season, but would be an ideal place to relax when the weather is fine Hope to make this a go-to place for future visits–thank you for a great stay!
