I stayed at this hotel for the first time during an all female motorcycle event The employees at this hotel was fantastic When we needed more towels it was there

One of the elevators went down during our visit but it was fixed in a timely manner The room was clean and the pillows were very comfortable If you needed your room clean you had to request for it which was understandable (Covid has changed everything) Lastly the cookies, the cookies, cookies they were so good! They handed these out as were where standing in line to check in along with a bottle of water I would stay at this hotel again

The hotel was clean and quite comfortable It was necessary for me to get my room key reprogrammed initially but I think I will try using the Hilton app at the next stay instead of the hard card Room temp was a balmy 65° but thankfully allowed for guest adjustment

The staff was especially accommodating for our group’s transportation needs The daily breakfast was adequate albeit a little pricey for individual expense All things considered I would certainly stay at this Hilton again

This is an amazing Hotel! There is a great restaurant and bar downstairs! Extremely clean & CROWD READY! The pool area & seating in back was awesome They were UNDERSTANDING of the fact that we were celebrating & having fun as adults! We just needed housekeeping to give us clean towels & bedding as we were there for THREE DAYS! We were told by a service person the washing machine was broken I think they had just grown tired of us as a group! But we are returning

soon! So get the machine ready! We love DOUBLETREE ❤️

Extremely Rude Customer Service: Will Never Check-IN! I’m in town for a funeral and was staying at the Hilton However, I need to stay a few more days but they don’t have any availability so

I figured I would try a different brand What a mistake I’m leaving on the holiday anyway but called to tell the hotel to modify my reservation for 1 day rather than the 5 nights Ghetto front desk said I had to stay 3 nights What I read at booking was a minimum 3 night stay for that RATE! 👎🏾 Nevertheless, I will not be checking in and you will not get a dime! #Facts People do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere Don’t you know that customer service is EVERYTHING 😡

Wife and I stopped by here on our way back from Baton Rouge over the summer The room was immaculate Everything was perfectly clean and the view was amazing

I loved that it was walking distance from Whole Foods so I could easily just walk down to the store for a quick snack or something to drink Other patrons pretty much minded their own business Nothing shady or anything else Would gladly stay here again!

It’s a good looking clean hotel with modern roomsUnfortunately, the best thing about a hotel is its shower (every1 loves a hot shower at the end of a 14 hour work day)The showers here only get lukewarm however and the water pressure is pitiful (it’s not just my room

My co worker who’s in a different room had the same complaint)I’d recommend it if you’re looking to stay only 1 night, but if you need a hotel for multiple days, you should go somewhere else (unless you’re weird & enjoy lukewarm showers, lol)

This was our first time staying in LaPlace I’m normally pretty skeptical of places outside of the city It’s literally a perfect location between the city and the plantations

Usually you run into high priced places with cheap quality This cost us $130 a night an utterly was worth it Outside the city so we got quiet nights in The bed was comfy and our room was spotless Only a little dust on the hairdryer The manager, owner, I’m not sure which she was- she was sweet, welcoming and helpful Will definitely be staying here again

Breakfast variety: 4 items: Omelet 2 different ways, oats (petite portion), fruit (petite portion as well) and coffee (lousy) or waterMy wife tripped over a loose floorboard (a 50 cm sharp piece of wood had partially splintered off from the wooden floor transition piece) leaving the breakfast area on the way to the hotel lobby After 10 minutes, the receptionist finally brought some band-aids and disinfection cream

Apology from the hotel? — Nothing Would they immediately repair it? No! The next day it was still the sameRoom: the extraction fan in the bathroom did not work The only way to get any fresh air into the room was to keep the door forced open with the luggage rack Absolutely terrible place We are so glad to be back in Germany Even a 2-Star Hotel here is better than the Hilton in the US They wouldn’t dare to have a breakfast area without a Buffet spread Value for money? The 5-day stay in the Hilton cost much more than the entire airfare for us two from Germany to New Orleans and back, but we had to visit this town to attend the funeral of my wife’s mother

Jeremy Bell

The carpet in our room was sticky I don’t want to make any guesses as to why, because I’m sure that would gross me out even more We also experienced sub-par customer service during our stay

When we arrived at the hotel, there was a security guard behind the counter that looked like a desk agent When I approached him to check in, he didn’t look at me or talk to me The other person behind the counter had to notify me that I was talking to the wrong person It would have been nice if he could have had the common courtesy to at least look at me and motion in the direction of who I should be speaking to I’m not sure what kind of security he’s providing if he never looks up Also, the front desk did not answer my questions clearly or provide accurate information about the airport shuttle I was told it ran every 15 minutes, but it was closer to every 30 minutes with how slow the shuttle operated At least it was free Lastly, to no fault of the Hilton, this hotel is no longer next to the airport Travelers should be aware that the shuttle to and from the airport takes about 10-20 minutes The only thing that this hotel is close to is the airport car rental facility It’s directly across the street, and you can walk to it If you aren’t renting a car, I’d suggest staying at a different hotel that’s closer to the airport that has better rooms and customer service

Heather Verret

Review for airport parking only: used their parking service when our usual wasn’t available Registered online & prepaid for 3 days of parking

You have to go inside the hotel lobby to check in & get a tag to place on your dashboard for the duration of your staythere was a short wait upon arrival, so definitely allow for extra time for that Also allow for extra time as the shuttle ride to the airport is about 10 minutes, plus an extra 10 or so to load everyone & their luggage The process isn’t as speedy as lots closer to the terminal, but if you allow for extra time this is definitely a good, convenient option Cost is about the same as other lots Drivers were also extremely courteous & went out of their way to assist others, which was appreciated

The hotel seems to be under a renovation, but it shouldn’t be open in the condition that it’s in It just looks dirty The lobby appears nice, as do the hallways, and the rooms, but it’s all the small details which make it look dirty and uninhabitable

The carpets in the hallways and the rooms have specks of dried spackle, caulk, or other building materials Easily fixed it vacuumed properly Same goes for the furniture in the room, bathroom, and walls All the left over building materials make it look like it hasn’t been cleaned because literally it hasn’t The toilet in my room wasn’t bolted into the floor at all, and moved with ease I practically fell off of it initiallyFixtures in the building are hanging off by a screw, the sconces in the hallways, the elevator button panelsall these things can easily be addressed by a handyman No maintenance personnel were seen at all addressing any of these matters when I was presentThe front desk personnel were pleasantly and welcoming and the hotel does seem like it will eventually look very nice once these issues are addressedI stay in hotels about 10-15 nights a month and this was less than satisfactory

Maine Girl

When we got the room online it never mentioned anything about being under renovation from last years hurricane When we got there, there were signs up thanking us for our patience After we checked in and went to our room, our room was definitely not cleaned

The bathroom was full of hair and disgusting We went down to the front desk and were told there were no other rooms There was no apologies or anything We cancelled our reservations and went and found someplace else to stay for the night Very inconvenient since we had a to get up at 330am for an early flight The customer service was nothing we would expect, especially after letting her know what we found It was like no big deal to her Maybe she was used to itI don’t know But I do know I am not used to a dirty hotel room and will not stay in one Especially when I am spending my hard earned money Will not be returning here again & would not recommend!

Adrienne Ricard

The staff was friendly The list of disappoints goes on and on (1) The carpet was dirty and ripped, it smelled and was sticky

I had to always keep my socks on (2) The shower stall had large plops of mildew and hair around the base (3) The restaurant was closed and there wasn’t any grab and go, as advertised on the website (4) Housekeeping services were unavailable unless your stay exceeded five days, guests should be informed prior to check-in (5) There were yellow stains on the white towels I went to Target to purchase me some (6) There was visible toothpaste splatter on the faucet and mirror I won’t bore you with the minor infractions Clearly this hotel is not maintained or routinely cleaned When I asked about these things, I was told that housekeeping had gone for the day and that they would address it the next day

Nice rooms , friendly service Decent breakfast Not bad at all for a night or two stay

Doesn’t have the kitchenette here so if your staying for more than a night you’re going to have to get out and find food , several places are not far away And if your staying to be close to New Orleans It’s roughly 20 minutes away from here Hope it helps you !

Jesse Kankowski

Very nice and clean hotel The room was truly dark and allowed us to get a great night sleep Only issue is the continental breakfast – they say it is until 10am

We can down at 9am (family of 8) and they were cleaning it up and wouldnt put anything new out, they put out what they do in theorning and once it’s gone, it’s gone Have to go find another place for breakfast now

Della Alphonse

The WORST hotel experience I’ve encountered EVER! First off MELANIE really should not be in the hospitality industry at all She happens to be extremely rude and argumentative I was charged additional fees on my account that should NOT have been there

I called a few times to try to clear up the issue but was basically told I was lying However, I had proof of all charges via my bank statement On top of that the restroom in our room smelled horrible Being my first time using a Holiday Inn establishment will DEFINITELY be my LAST time using this type of hotel Simply a ridiculously horrible experience!!

All Best Westerns are definitely not the same This hotel is nonsmoking, but there were people smoking outside all over the place, even right outside our door when we pulled in to park The room was nice and the bed was comfortable

The room felt really humid to me though And when the neighbors went into their room at 3am it woke me up when their door slammed shut The hot breakfast was pretty good One thing that I did not like: the housekeeper pounded on our door at 9:24am to ask if we were leaving today and to remind us that checkout was at 11am Normally I’m a late sleeper and that would’ve woken me up I could understand if it was 10:30, but certainly not 9:24!!

While this hotel was conveniently located, I found it a little lacking The renovations were nice, but the room could have been a little cleaner It was ‘ok’

The staff was the best feature of the property A repairman came to fix the shower handle which fell off in my hand, but he could not speak English We had requested a late check out and he showed up early, which was not helpful as I’d told the front desk that we were able to manage with the broken handle and it could be repaired after we checked out

WMichael Stream

My wife and I have stayed at this particular motel many times and we are always happy with our stay The Front Desk is very friendly and very professional The Maid Service is outstanding and the Breakfast Service is great

The rooms are always spotless and maintained extremely well, the grounds are kept clean and the overall appearance is outstanding I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be in the New Orleans area for any period of time

Front staff is amazing The cleaning staff is amazing We had multiple issues and they were all taken care of immediately

Even with the NCAA tournament going on One star down because everything was dated and old However, keep in mind that it was still clean Meaning the staff was doing whatever they can to keep something old and falling apart in the best shape possible Kudos!

Honestly, this was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at The staff was super friendly and helpful, it is a good location right next to the Mississippi river and has easy access to highways to get on the road It’s in a good area

I was worried about the area when I booked it cuz you never know, but I felt very safe at this hotel!! Our room was comfortable and had a cute little kitchenette I wish our stay was longer at this hotel, it fit our needs perfectly

Collette Brown

Size of the room was nice for my family of four Could’ve used more lighting The hotel was pet friendly with several areas available for elimination needs

It seemed to be busy, but I didn’t hear the other guests when I was in my room, so rooms seemed to be well insulated My only complaint was the lack of explanation and immediate resolution of the additional two charges for my room totaling $309

We stayed here for two nights because of a medical treatment, location to hospital was great, room was clean Most staff were pleasant but I am giving it a 2 star because of the evening shift receptionist The black girl at the front desk is very rude and doesn’t belong in customer service, especially in a Ochsner facility

She fails to acknowledge customer and when approached with question every time she made me feel like I was a bother Her attitude stinks Would never stay here for pleasure

terry pierce

The hotel had friendly staff, the room was very clean and lovely with great lighting However, the beds in room #388 was the worst beds we have ever been in at any hotel I normally can sleep on anything and never complain

I literally rolled to the edge of the bed almost falling out of bed I tossed and turned all night which I didn’t need to do before my medical procedure not getting any sleep My husband was in the other bed with the same problem He couldn’t sleep either We could of slept in the car and got a better night sleep During my procedure my nurse said she had experienced the samething This is a convenient location being right at the hospital but I doubt we will be staying here

Ruben Trevino

Hotel staff is nice and courteous Rooms are dated and toiletries are sparse Lack of electrical and USB charging outlets next to bed

AC didn’t pump out cold air During the day room temp was in the high 70s/low 80s and at night high 70s was as cold as it would get even with the thermostat at 61 degrees If you’re partial to a warmer room, this is the place for you

We have stayed here a couple weekends over the last couple of months This place is very nice and the staff is attentive! The problem is the people who live here!! They think they own the place There is an old couple that has been here every time we’ve come and they are so rude!! Washing clothes they come in huffing and puffing like we are in the way

Breakfast, the stare you down cause she’s taking plates and plates of food back to their room!! We go up and ask for biscuits, 10 minutes…we turn the old lady goes into the back door and comes out with a plate full of biscuits for their room for 2 people!!! They are not good for your business

Sara Strom

Beware of front desk staffing issues/poor customer service, and the shuttle does not run at the hours they claim it does When I called before making the reservation, the front desk gentleman told me it ran much different hours than it does in reality Front desk staff also laughed at us when we called from the airport to ask about the shuttle–as if we should know it wasn’t running at that time– zero customer service

Also, when I asked to speak to the supervisor or person in charge either at check in or the following morning, I was told that no one is in charge in evenings or weekends so there was no one available Very poor experience, would not recommend

Nicole D

SMELLY Those rooms are not cleaned My initial room’s bathroom smelled like pee was on the floor

Went to the front desk They changed the room Next one had an overwhelming sweaty feet and corn chip smell as soon as I opened the door This is what I got after making a 10 hour drive and then not being able to check me in for almost an hour My job was paying for this stay as a part of a corporate relocation while I waited for my furniture to arrive I would rather sleep on an air mattress in my empty apartment I left I don’t have the patience for that at 12:30 AM

Again, There is not manager or person in charge in this location My company travel agent did a reservation by CLC system and when I left the hotel, the hotel put the charge on my card not in the CLC After the first complaint the hotel return the money but immediately take again

We had try to talk with the manager but is always in “MEETING” and never take the phone call We had to open a case with the hotel corporative complaint office And yes, I’m sorry for the front desk that have to take the bad and complaint phone call And yes, I will be posting this information everyday until someone with return my money and do the business in the right way

The staff was Great they we’re very nice and friendly They made me feel welcome and not a burden when I asked for extra towelsthe room was clean

The bathroom could have been more cleaner They did have stains on the wall And a few pieces of hair in the tub But all in all it was a nice stay The beds was comfortable and the comforter was so fluffy and warm And the free breakfast was just ok It could have been better The juice tasted like water

Rebecca Page

I expected way more than what I got I can say the bed was really comfortable and soft The curtains make the room black and it stays cool

The bathroom was meh at the best The carpets are NASTY!!!! Looks like the don’t own anything to clean it with Front desk was snippy about having a dog even though I paid for him For the quality of the hotel I just expected more

Upon arriving to the hotel, the clerk was very very sweet, engaging and, welcoming! We reached our room and, we couldn’t get the key card to work We tried multiple times to no avail I went back downstairs and, informed the clerk we needed new key cards because, the ones we had weren’t opening the door

She spoke with her co worker and, they both told me that was the room where you had to flip the handle upward instead of downward when opening it (The fact that I read this on someone else’s review as well tells that you guys need to conduct some renovations ASAP) Once entering the room, the stinkiest stench hit us It smelled like mold My husband checked the room and, stepped in a damp spot in the room closer to the window That very well may be where the smell is stemming from another couple with us, informed us that they had to be moved to another room because of the same issue We didn’t bother with being asked to be moved because, if there’s a problem in our room, that same exact problem in another room, causing them to be moved, there’s no promise it wouldn’t be the same or, worse in the next room We just stayed My husband would not even sleep under the covers because although the room appeared somewhat clean, with the exception of some wall spots and, the bathroom shower, the smell alone would deter you from wanting to access anything they offered The smell starting getting to the point where it was upsetting my stomach so, we had to stay out of the room as much as possible We had one roll of tissue in our room when we arrived Once we ran out, we had to constantly go downstairs to the front desk to retrieve more and, they still would only give you one roll when you did We had to do this at least twice That’s unacceptable For the price, we shouldn’t have had to beg for tissue or, not rest comfortable in our rooms We were on a weekend vacation away from our children and, couldn’t enjoy each other because, the room wasn’t up to par Very disappointing

I had a family emergency and needed to cancel a room for the FINAL FOUR, a night where the room could’ve been booked by someone else for such a high demand event Couldn’t cancel with FindHotel, had to call the hotel and was lied to by Ron Ron wouldn’t return my phone call after telling me they’d “look into it”

Left messages, nothing I’m out $600 for a room I didn’t use that could’ve easily been rebooked by someone else Lack of customer service from both FindHotel and Residence Inn will keep me away from these businesses for future bookings for myself and my company The lack of empathy/customer service for such an easy fix is incredible I’ll be disputing this charge with my credit card company

If this hotel is 3 stars, then I need 4 star because this was not 3 star quality according to my standards In my room the air conditioner was noisy, the carpet runner was falling away from the wall This revealed a wall which looked moldy, the carpet was dirty, the bed skirt was stained

They bed was uncomfortable I could not sleep, maybe my anxiety was taking over, anyway-it was not good rest The kicker is that, it was the only room available on the first floor, and I had an elderly parent who is unable to walk the stairs Then again I’m not sure if the room upstairs were any better-according to my guest whom I had booked in a room on that floor There was trash scattered around the halls and parking lot Just gross 🤢 I do not recall having such a bad experience on a previous stay at this hotel… very disappointed I will certainly choose elsewhere the next time I’m in town 😒

Stayed here one night before an early flight from MSY The hotel is recently renovated and the room was clean Bed was fairly comfortable

Check-in was fast and friendly The odd-numbered room face a bright and fairly noisy gas station The sign outside the hotel said happy hour was 4-7 with free Abita beer, but the front desk never mentioned it Overall, a decent place to spend a night

The receptionist is the gold standard for customer service Very likable and kind The rooms are a great price if you are looking for a place to stay not far from New Orleans

Clean room, clean sheets, everything just felt right AC works amazingly If you are 6’2″ like myself then you understand how hard it is to find a place that has showerheads or even showers that tall, the shower is very tall and has the shower head above me! The water pressure is not the best I have seen but definitely not anything to complain about The pictures online are not far from how this place actually looks I would highly recommend skipping the booking company and just call their office I didn’t have to wait on hold or go through a ton of different people Just picked right up and told us everything we need to know Room is spacious, full size fridge, microwave, and a sink I sleep on a memory foam mattress at home, very thick and comfortable, the beds here I sleep just as well If this sounds too good to be true I do not blame you, if you find yourself in the area just stop by and ask if you can inspect the room before paying, I doubt you will be disappointed
