Was here visiting family in the area

first impressionnot good!!! Followed GPS and it led to resturant!! Called receptionist and she gave me directions to unmarked bilding!! Took 20 minutes to find!!REDICULOUS!!! rooms where comfortable at least but smelled funny Theres no microwave or fridge in master suite!! Staff gets rude when u ask to heat up food in their microwave, or refrigerate leftovers!!! No crowd control on nights I was there, screaming in teh hallways!!! Marijuana smokers allowed to smoke with no regard for general safety!! No cops were called!!!Would rather spend the extra several hundred dollars to stay at the holiday inn than ever step foot here again!!! But I do love that restarant!!!

Went to sea oaks for dinner Go there quite often as I live locally Huge disappointment in the dinner this evening

I ordered a rib eye steak( on their evening special menu) I got a strip or sirloin steak It was NOT a ribeyeIt irritates me to no end that they insisted it was a ribeye Anyone that is a chef or anyone knowledgeable about steak knows the difference between a ribeye and a sirloin Stop ripping off the public that may not know the difference The “ribeye” Which was really a sirloin steak was tough No amount of blue cheese will disguise the fact that it was NOT a ribeye Worst meal ever!! Brought it home for my dog He doesn’t know the difference between a sirloin and a rib eye but I DO!!!!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Windward The room was clean and they make special efforts to remind everyone to keep sand outside The outdoor showers are very nice–roomy and stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner

The people are helpful and friendly Location is great, right near the beach and a short walk to the main downtown shops and restaurants We would definitely stay here again!

Michelle Manzares

For my family summer beach vacation staying at The Windward is our absolute favorite! I think this is our third year staying here and we look forward to it every summer David and his family are such amazing hosts, as well as Michelle and all the staff The rooms are super clean and well taken care of

They are super responsive when we ask for extra towels or anything we need We just love how conveniently located to the beach and all the restaurants and shops it is We also love the coffee/tea bar in the lobby The feeling of comfort and being at a home away from home is just what I love for my family’s summer vacation Thank you David, family and staff for another great stay at your beautiful Windward Inn

Sydnee Zolnierz

My husband and I booked a last minute Beach Haven trip and couldn’t be more thrilled that we found the Windward for our impromptu stayOur room was quaint, cozy, and clean, and I loved the the keyless entry for the room The owners and staff were delightful

I loved the quiet and relaxed vibeIf your preferred hotels are the Ritz or Four Seasons, the Windward may not be for you – but if you’re relaxed, undemanding, and down-to-earth, I can’t recommend the Windward enoughThe Windward will be the first hotel I try to book when I visit Beach Haven in the future Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Stayed there for a spontaneous weekend and was happy with everything! To start the staff was so courteous and friendly, the rooms were clean and very well stocked with towels and everything you need The pool was very nice and convenient Breakfast was excellent and location was perfect

Very nice atmosphere all around lively but peaceful

Heather R

The hotel was nice It is so close to the beach You have to walk a bit if you don’t eat onsite

There is a 24 hour convenience store with some snacks, drinks and coffeeThe beds are very hard and I woke up sore everyday It is just slightly better than sleeping on the floor At this price point, I expected better beds Also the heated pool was like bath water I like warm water but this was way too warm

Brian Peykar

Disgusting hotel, do not stay here! I stayed at the hotel on 6/26-6/27 I was supposed to checkout on 6/28 but we had to check out early due to the unsanitary condition in our unit For starters, the unit had a moldy/mildew smell

We had a problem with our air conditioning emitting an extremely high screeching noise every few minutes I contacted the front desk at 7 pm to notify them that the air conditioning unit was not functioning properly and making a very loud screeching noise I was told that a maintenance worker would be at my unit in 30 minutes 2 1/2 hours later a maintenance worker showed up In the interim, I had also notified the front desk to let them know we had a significant ant infestation in the bathroom The maintenance worker showed up at a time when my family was sleeping and could not do the repairs needed He also intended on spraying the toxic chemical ROUND UP in the bathroom to treat the ants Round Up cannot be used indoors and is meant for treating weeds, it also happens to be toxic I shudder at the thought that he may have sprayed it earlier if we were not in the unit I was very upset that he thought that was a solution to the problem Due to the issues with the AC unit, we were forced to sleep through the night without air conditioning which is obviously extremely uncomfortable To make matters worse, my 3 and 5 year old complained that there were itchy in the middle of the night and we turned on the light to now see that there were ants in the bed and on their body I would not expect for these instances to happen in a lower cost hotel let alone a hotel that costs over $300 a night I complained to the front desk person and was assured a manager would contact me which never happened

The restaurant was very nice The waitress was kind, patient and quick The drinks were very good

The food wasn’t too good The mussels weren’t good at all The tacos were okay Put it like this, best food was the friesI would definitely go back for the drinks and live music, but not for the food The live music was fantastic

Lori Zugelder

We went to Daddy O’s last night for dinner & as usual it was a great experience We were greeted by very friendly hostesses and seated right away They have plenty of people working and do a great job of taking care of you

We had to send my daughter’s steak salad back because it was a little too rare for her They were so accommodating and nice about it! They brought her out a new salad even larger than the first one & cooked exactly the way she liked it Can’t say enough about the staff at this restaurant Everyone was happy and helpful and the food is delicious!

Mary Frey

My husband and I came here on a Saturday night to celebrate his birthday We were greeted by a super sweet hostess and seated immediately Our server, Alex, was attentive without being overbearing

He checked on us the perfect amount of times! My husband ordered the burger and a funnel cake flavored beer, both of which he said were excellent I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was so perfect! So juicy and perfectly crunchy We both loved the seasoned fries as well We also got to briefly meet the manager on duty who was very nice We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in LBI!

Me and my boyfriend spent Valentines Day here, and the hotel service and property exceeded our expectations The hotel is spotless, and the staff were amazing Has a indoor self parking garage, that was heated and you can enter the hotel easily and take the elevator to check in

I unfortunately booked a room without a balcony and didn’t realize, they upgraded me free of charge The Living Room restaurant is perfect for quick bite to eat and the drinks are Amazing The room is beautiful, perfectly decorated and clean The linens were so soft and I love the space, easily can entertain a family without feeling overcrowded Perfect place to get away for a weekend I will surely be back, and would recommend anyone to go here We didn’t get a chance to use the pool or jacuzzi we came a little too late, but definitely will when we return

Kay Bee

This place is great Complimentary valet, someone is always there if you need something, the food is great The room was huge, and really nicely maintained

You also couldn’t hear any other guests in their room (top or neighboring) and the hotel was sold out My family of 4 enjoyed the accommodations and everything it had to offer My only complaint is that we had a very intimate view of the AC unit for the hotel We couldn’t see anything other than that and for $400 a night, that’s not what I want to be looking at Would absolutely stay again, but would request a room with an unobstructed view

Gilbert NGUYEN

We stayed 1 week from Thursday to Wednesday over Easter We booked a 2 bedrooms with king beds, for 2 adults and 2 kidsPrice is ok as I guess everything is a bit more expensive around Easter Sunday

The room price increased from 299 to 459 just for the Friday and Saturday, it seems a bit excessiveRoom was large, cleanness could be better but I will come back on that topicOur room was not ready at 4pm We had to wait until 5:20pm Do not get all your stuff from your car until they confirm room is readyWe ate at the restaurant on our first night The food was really good and we wanted to come back on our last night but they are closed Monday and Tuesday unfortunatelyWe cooked dinner the other nights and there is minimum equipment but it was sufficient Only expect to cook simple dinner and to use the dishwasher every night as there would not be enough dishes for the next morningHotel had multiple wedding in a row so it was packed of guest coming for 1 night max and it creates massive amount of work for the cleaning staff and now I understand better why our room was not ready on timeI saw cleaning staff exhausted by the afternoon and noticed rooms left in terrible state by guestI really believe staff do their best under the circumstancesOur room was at the very end of the 3rd floor (top floor) which is a perk as it is much more quiet Otherwise expect to hear your neighbor and all the kids running in the hallwayI will conclude my review with the pool The size is not adapted to the hotel capacity It could be easily double the size For me it was a huge disappointment and seriously dangerous There is no supervision so you see kids and teenagers diving from everywhere and in the middle of people Expect to be kicked under the water, and to be splashed We ended up going only when not crowded which was super rare

Best place to stay If your visiting LBI! Free showers in back to wash sand off after beach! Hotel rooms, service,& pricing are great! Al & Christine & family are great hosts as well as very knowledgeable! Awesome location at quiet end of island! Great places to eat & shop at nearby! Beach tags can be purchased here & the beach itself is close by!

Tim Bartlett

We came down to the North Shore in in May while our floors were being redone We had heard good things from friends who stayed there last year, and we were not disappointed We had two of the standard first floor rooms and they were spacious, impeccably clean, and pleasant

We had to do some work during the day, and we found the table provided in the room a good place to work The owner (Chris?), welcomed us and was flexible when we weren’t sure how long we were going to stay I also love this part of the Island, which is a bit quieter and less overrun than the other parts It’s amazing to be so close to the beach This place is *very* good value for money

Katie

We love staying here 🙂 We try to visit every summer!! 🌞 The North Shore Inn is so convenient to the ocean, the lighthouse, and restaurants on the north side of Long Beach Island The owners are exceptional and always so nice and happy to help !! We reserved one of the suites on the top floor and it had the perfect kitchenette for our shore stay We had a microwave, mini fridge, mini stove, and sink

The suite also came with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils 🍽 The accommodations were very clean and tidy and there is an outdoor shower area to wash off before you enter your room

The only reservations were 5:30, after leaving around 7:00 the place was nearly as deserted as arrived I had a pork chop that was served diagonally cut through adding to it’s well done dryness, unsure why since the parasite in pork has been eradicated This same pork chop that I believe gave me an encounter of food poisoning throughout the night into early the following morning

Possibly from being not busy and having a proper rotation of product The waitress and training waiter were wonderful themselves, I caught wind of the waiter in training being told about the cameras If the powers that be sit there to watch the cameras to scrutinize their staff, I think it would be wise to do something else with their time Unfortunately I feel the staff being under watch added to an uncomfortable stuffiness, While attentive to service, it felt they were over attentive as if being chaperoned, creating a feeling that certainly was not demographically suited to the laid back comfortable atmosphere that I experienced elsewhere through LBI during the duration of my trip I don’t believe the price reflected the quality of food or atmosphere considering choices were limited from a prefix menu, and I’m not one to put a value on food I think the plates could have been a little less seasoned as well, It seems restaurants like to mask and disguise plates with toppings that shouldn’t be It just seemed as if the entire place was trying to hard to make it something it wasn’t Unimpressed

Hosting our 66 person wedding at the Gables was an absolute DREAM The venue is impeccable, classic, tasteful, and very clearly well cared for The owners, Sondra and Steve, are incredibly hands on and do everything in their power to make the weekend special

The breakfast in the mornings with both my family and my husband’s family will forever be some of my favorite memories Steve is up early making sure water is filled, glasses are restocked, and coffee is hot and plentiful My husband and I love food so this was a very important aspect of wedding planning for us The food was outstanding and many of our guests said it was the best they have had The flowers are so beautiful and plentiful I had high expectations but the Gables surpasses every expectation I had and it was truly the wedding of our dreams The Gables and LBI will forever be a special place to us and we can’t wait to celebrate anniversaries here in the future

Eric W.

I want to like The Gables more, but I don’t think the overall dining experience lives up to the price–It seems somewhat hit or miss For example, on my last recent visit I did enjoy the seafood bisque appetizer a lot, but the duck entree with cabbage seemed an odd, not particularly flavorful choice One highlight is their selection of New Jersey wines from Belleville Winery, which in the case of the Merlot at least was much more enjoyable than the average person might expect

We really liked this hotel We only were able to stay for three nights and it was in our budget First off, I was nervous about being so close to the main road but we heard nothing except for once when an ambulance went by

Our friends were staying in the next room, she knocked on our door and we told her to come in and even yelled it and she could not hear usThe pool was fantastic and clean, just the mats hurt my feet, but my feet are really sensitiveIt was across the street from a bagel shop that cost us less than 20 bucks daily for a family of 4 breakfastThree blocks from the beach Close to restaurants and amusement areaRooms were clean!Great viewing areas for sunsets! The only downfall was the room was totally out dated and the TV was really small Better pillows, newer carpet and bathroom this place would be a 10Definitely coming back

Lisa Shucker

I stayed here with my family back in the 90s and it was okay back then Well, nothing has changed, and that’s not a good thing The furniture is all the same

The comforters are the same The lighting in the room is the same and it’s terrible The bathroom was in desperate need of a face lift It’s outdated to say the least Our bed sheets were also not changed, the bed was just made every night At least put on fresh sheets The pressure in the shower was bad and it drained so slow that you took a shower in 3 inches of water the entire time There was a bug on the sink that had died (did anyone even clean the room before we got in?) The fridge was set to the coldest setting, but it was still warm The indoor pool closed at 9pm The wooden furniture to sit on to enjoy the bay would have left us with a million splinters Not even gonna try to sit on the medal furniture as it (and all the outside door knobs) had ruse on them The cost was still pretty high too Would have stayed some place else any place else if there was any place that had rooms available I’ll forgo the trip next time before I stay here again So sad

Nicole Sposato Torres

Been coming here for years and never had a issue other then my kids locking the safe with teddy inside 🙂 This is a motel in a beach community so don’t expect 5 star service The pool is really nice on the bay with a shower, there’s 2 rooftop terraces and they have Bayfront suites It’s nice being on the bay and being a short walk to the beach

There is ample parking and it’s close to alot Theres a bagel joint directly across the street and it’s my favorite motel to stay at when I need one on LBI

We think this property is just beautiful We stayed there years ago & thought it was nice Now we see even more improvements and the cleanliness & organization are managed so well

We believe the young lady at the front desk who helped us & was lovely was Abby We will be very embarrassed if that is her name considering how nicely she treated us!! It may be her job doesn’t mean it will happen! We also enjoyed our lunch at Mainland & met Alexa & Christine Also so nice & food was yum!!

Geometry Craft

This hotel is really nice to stay at, the restaurant has good food and is pretty clean, the pool and hot tub are also a nice addition to the main hotel building When you go outside, besides the outdoor part of the restaurant, there is so much more you can do that is right on the hotel grounds There’s a small but nice putting holes outside of the pool, but the main area outside comes with go carts, a large adventure course, and small, but nice arcade

The adventure course was really fun, the employees are always nice and friendly The go carts are also a fun time, and are kept up nicely The arcade also has a few fun things inside This hotel also has a nice location, being right near the ocean, along with easy access to shops and other places Overall, would recommend this hotel for anyone that has the money to go!

MIS PARK

It was difficult to find a room on the day because it was the holiday season, but fortunately, there was an empty room Of course, it was much more expensive than usual It is located about walking to the beach

It’s cleaner than I thought and the water pressure in the bathroom is strong The staff did not provide information on the Internet Wi-Fi The office was also closed at 8 pm There are plenty of towels and the air conditioner works well, so I’m satisfied with it

Darcy Baia

We arrived to our hotel and walked into an empty front desk a note was left that there is no one working the hotel and we would have to drive to another hotel to check in ( their sister hotel) 😳 disconcerting

I travel a lot for business I have never seen such a thing Nonetheless we go get a keyWe arrive back in the room finally and realize there is no internet No front desk for assistance so we call the other hotel… they give us a Code that does not work we call right back and no one answers we tried for an hour Completely ridiculous We are here on business and absolutely need internet We now have to leave the building to complete our meeting and finish our work for a time sensitive projectI am beyond upset Unacceptable At least answer your phone for your guests Shame on this business!

Sarah Manfredo

Would I have preferred a beach house? Of course; but my family of three comfortably fit in a room with two queen beds and, most importantly, we were able to get a booking only 2 weeks in advance I was expecting it to be kinda scary but honestly, it was absolutely fine for us Luckily we got a room at the end of the hall so I think that helped matters

I saw there was a pool that seemed crowded most days but that’s not my scene We really just used the room as a place to sleep Probably wanna bring your own pillow if you can Staff was friendly When we were checking in, there was a drunken, out-of-state guest causing a disturbance and being really rude to the women behind the desk We only caught the tail end of the exchange, but I remember thinking I admired the staff for keeping their cool during the chaos and still treating us kindly despite just being berated Would recommend if you’re just looking for a place to crash and clean up

My husband and I just stayed a week at the hotel with our 2 young kids The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly There is a hotel and an Inn section

We stayed at the Inn which is the furthest from the music and we didn’t hear a thing The restaurant is delicious The location is perfect to walk to the beach, restaurants, ice cream and mini golf There is no coffee maker in the room, there is one by the front desk and coffee shops in walking distance We were a little surprised that parking was limited Overall, this is a perfect getaway for a couple or small family!

First-time customer for dinner July 8th Great atmosphere Many empty tables yet it was 15 minutes before the server visited our table

My wife had the crab cake sandwich which was very good I had the Jumbo Shrimp and Crab over Linguini inparmesan cream sauce There were only 4 shrimp They were not jumbo and were barely large Could only find small bits of crab in the sauce It was good but nothing came with the entree and at $34 it just didn’t seem like good value I’m willing to come back and try again

Stayed for 2 nights with my family during the American angler tournament We arrived late at night and we had a very nice welcoming from the owner Although the office closed at 6 pm he came back from his house Asked for a late checkout and it was granted with free of charge

The rooms are spacious and clean Room #16Thank you very much for sure will come back

When you think of beach motels you think of shabby rooms with tile floors and no amenities but Haven Beach is different The rooms are nice and clean, they’re carpeted and come with AC units that actually work and they’re well stocked with all the things you’d expect The prices are very fair and the employees are all very kind and helpful

Location is good and view of bay is good Rooms need remodeling Carpets are very musty

Had to leave windows open to get fresh air Bathrooms are very small and old Shower head is like a sprinkling can over your head Room 2 had many small ants in the bathroom and along back wall Owners did very little to help us 2 towels were given to us for 4 people Had to ask for more towels Double beds would be better if they were gueen and newer mattresses Bedding is old also Price is cheap but I would not stay here again

We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at Rivers Edge after our wedding a few weeks ago Patty was wonderful and the house itself was immaculate and BEAUTIFUL We were able to have some of our wedding photos shot from the bedroom balcony that over looks the water, and down in the marina that is located on the property behind the house

Breakfast was served the next morning and it was delicious! This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast and it was a wonderful and fun experience If you ever have the opportunity to stay a day or two at the Inn, you will not be disappointed!

This was our second time staying here We love it The rooms are beautiful, beds are so comfortable, the little details are so appreciated , like robes in the closet, water in the fridge, and some snacks for midnight raid

Breakfast is fabulous our host Patty is an amazing cook, and the way is it is presented was wonderful The views are spectacular There is a restaurant just next door that serves wonderful seafood as well as other items We only live 45 mins away but when I come and stay here, I feel as if I left the state 🙂 very relaxing Bonus Patty has a very cute puppy named Janelove her Great place

Kristina Magolis

We stayed here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and it was great! Patty and Jane were the very best hosts! Location is right off the river, close to a very good restaurant and about a half hour from the beach Our room was clean and comfortable Patty made us fresh fruit and granola as well as unlimited peach waffles for breakfast

It was the perfect relaxed and cozy spot for a quick getaway We highly recommend it and hope to be back soon!

I was visiting a friend there I was actually surprised at how much nicer the rooms were from when it was The Sea Pine Much cleaner and more modern

The rooms are a lot better than some of the hotels I’ve been to in Florida that are in the heart of everything and suppose to be nice I would recommend staying here in the summer when the pool is open

Liliana R.

Don’t let the pictures deceive you The room I had was very small and dark The curtains are old and they don’t close completely allowing sun light in early in the morning

The bathroom door was not hung properly as it was very hard to close The shower area, the tub was rusty and old The pictures of the pool are true and the grounds are well kept Review your options carefully as there should be better places for the same expensive price We won’t be back for sure

I came across Luna Mar completely at random and had never been to Seaside Park previously What struck me when booking was review after review mentioning how long they’ve returned to Luna Mar (sometimes multi- generations!) Prior to arriving, I corresponded with Tom and he was great answering all of my questions and accomodating my later check in

Once my family of 5 arrived, everything was perfection They truly make you feel like family Tom and his wife are fantastic, rooms cleaned daily, fresh bagels and (good!) Coffee every morning Steps from beach and comfortable walk to boardwalk and amusements Count us in as another family that will return year after year! Sarah & Luca Family

The reviews say it all John and Judy keep this BNB alive with outstanding service and accommodations My wife and I had the chance to really learn about the business and the owners while we stayed this past week

It’s an Americana story where hard work and caring for others pays off They are CONSTANTLY working It’s one of the best experiences in LBI and as others mentioned, it’s steps away from the beach A great place for all ages, but maturity is required Thank you for your hospitality John and Judy As John always says “Live Long and Prosper” God bless

So let me start by saying that this review is solely for the hotel and the house keeping manager Tina Me and my husband booked 6/24-6/28 but we actually left a day early because of how dirty the room was On Saturday we realized the house keeping skipped our room when we saw them and asked, they said they don’t clean rooms and handed me towels and toilet paper, so I thought they don’t go in rooms until I read the paper handed to us when we checked in that they are supposed to clean rooms daily

So, I went down Sunday morning and spoke to a very nice gentleman who said he will make sure they clean my room Sunday, and they were supposed to clean it Saturday, but they lied and said no when I spoke to them And it wasn’t because some of them didn’t speak English because I spoke to them in Spanish to make sure they understood what I was asking I guess they were being lazy But when they cleaned on Sunday, I realized it was really no difference accept, they fixed the bed and took the garbage out, but the floors were still dirty as well as everything else So, while we are checking out a day early early today with Tina, she said I should have called again about filth of room and Shes charging me the unused night, which I never said to her I wouldn’t pay the extra night I knew I would be charged the extra $550 but I rather lose $550 then stay in a filthy room again But Tina was so obnoxious!!! So, then I ask to speak to manager, and she said she is the manager of housekeeping and honestly, I was blown away because of how extremely rude and unprofessional Tina is If she talks to her housekeeping staff the way she talks to people staying at hotel I can see why they do such a poor job cleaning So, for $550 a night you would expect at least a courteous management staff and hygienic place to sleep but you get neither of those things here The tiki bar and bartenders are wonderful I just advise you stay in a different hotel and then go and check out the bar

The resort was great, right on the beach Food was amazing The bed was why I give 4 stars

It was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on I woke up hardly able to walk because my hips and back were in so much pain Didn’t sleep well at all because of it But would definitely go back for the restaurant that’s there, just wouldn’t book a room again

Great family atmosphere! The rooms where simple and clean There were plenty of pillows for our 2 queen beds The bed was comfortable and the room temp was easy to regulate with a ceiling fan and AC

The room is equipped with all basic toiletries, 4 towel sets, a hair dryer, mini fridge, microwave, in-room safe, and iron Plenty of charging ports and good lighting No yucky rugs, wood floors We stayed in a deluxe room on the second floor facing the south parking lot It was nice and quiet The food was very good but it was bit pricey You could eat pool side! They provide towels and a beach badge so you can come early enjoy the resort and beach and they call you when your room is ready We arrived at about 11 and our room was ready by 2pm When we checked out they still allow you full use of the grounds and towels The pool has a 1ft to 9ft depth (note- we didn’t mind but there is no lifeguard on duty) The beach itself was easy to access with a matted path No seaweed, crystal clear and a cool, 73 degrees F when we were there in early July Bring your own beach chair and umbrella to spend the day We picked a spot and left our stuff and went back and forth all day: pool to beach to room They have a security staff that is discreet but they are there to make sure everyone can safely have a good time We didn’t stay for the night entertainment There are two large fire pits that seat about 12 people around More of an adult environment though We were able to nab up a one night stay last minute but we would definitely return for at least 2-3 nights to maximize the fun and what the town has to offer We took in a show at the Surflight theatre located just one block away There is also a museum just one block away too! I recommend this resort for a short family stay 🙂
