The staff that I checked out with were super nice This is something I expect in Texas certainly not the way I am used to being treated when traveling through St Louis Missouri The room was very clean the hotel was very easy to get to and then to get back onto the road to the airport I very much would recommend this property to anyone traveling through the St Louis area Thanks for a great experience

Returned after 1st staying 14 years ago and enjoyed it just the same if not more this time Missed eating at the table like traditional bed and breakfast (darn you COVID!) and missed the chocolate bar set-up, however breakfast was filling and chocolate was served whenever you would ask Enjoyed sitting outside the property, taking in the scenery and relaxing (beautiful yard and garden area), or just hanging out in our room

Beds are super comfy! Stayed in the king room this time (queen room on prior stay) Soaking in the tub is very relaxing, and we used Sandy’s homemade bath salts that were provided Jim and Sandy really take pride in caring for the property and sharing the history of it Would definitely return again for another anniversary weekend!

We came for a tour and were quite impressed by our tour guide Jim, the owner of the mansion He was very friendly and gave us so much information about the history of the mansion Because it’s a living history museum, we were able to touch everything and feel like we were part of the history he was sharing

We would definitely return, and hopefully even stay overnight

Dana Michelle Smith

My husband and I stayed at the mansion in November for our local, honeymoon weekend We loved our experience We felt like we stepped into an episode of “Downton Abbey

” We felt like a Lord and Lady walking through the mansion, exploring and delighting our senses with the grandeur, beauty, history and craftsmanship Thank you Jim and Sandy for being a welcoming host and hostess Mr and Mrs Anderson

First time staying and was so happy we chose it! Our Spanish Colonial room was beautiful! Loved the soft lighting and charming feel! Everything felt luxurious from the bedding to the towels, and we appreciated the addition of robes and a mini bar Loved watching the sunrise on the patio Venetia was very accommodating and allowed for a flexible check-in which was so appreciated! We will definitely be staying here again!

SAHDman Reviews

This place was really nice The owner seems to have really went out of their way to make this place accommodating for their guests It sits along the riverfront and we were able to get some dinner to go at a restaurant nearby and people watch on our patio

It has a full shower and a bath/jacuzzi It was nice to sit in a Epsom salt bath with bubbles (they provided Epsom salt and the soap) The owner seemed to know the area and it’s history very well It was a nice stayIf you are like my wife and I, I would advise you to bring a fan or some other device to drown out the ambient noise, but that is a personal preference Not everyone is bothered by that and I can’t discredit this place because of outside noise My wife and I found the beds to be slightly uncomfortable, but once again, those are personal preferencesAll in all, this was a nice inn to stay at Nestled right in the middle of Main Street St Charles right at the heart of all the shops, restaurants, ect I highly recommend this place if you are out of town, or just looking to get away

Christy Holliday

I love this place! The owner, Ventia, and Miss Linda were so kind and accommodating This was the perfect location to enjoy historic downtown We are from Chattanooga, TN, and chose this location because my husband stayed around here as a child and remembered it being beautiful

It did not disappoint We stayed in the Napoleon suite and fell in love with it I highly recommend this bed and breakfast

Well-designed hotel facility offering spacious rooms, pool-area and other amenitiesThere is a large breakfast area, as well as a fully-stocked bar area available, should you be so inclinedI only gave three stars for service since I stayed two nights and there was no daily re-stocking of coffee or general room clean-up

Maybe I needed to request it, but given the cost of rooms, I expected moreOtherwise, the rooms are nice, the beds comfortable, TV is available and the bathroom area was well-maintained So kudos there! The hotel connects to the Westport Village area, and is easily accessible

Greg Wright

Me and my wife were in town for the weekend Stayed at holiday inn the first night but decided to get a lil more luxurious room the second night Looked fancy and nice in the lobby, but the room was not clean, was not stocked with toiletries or coffee, there was even paint all over the wallpaper from where they had painted the ceiling

No complimentary breakfast either, and all I heard all night was the elevator going up and down Like staying next to the airport lol This room was twice the price of the holiday inn express room we stayed in the night prior but the cheaper room was way nicer Not worth the money here

Tyra Marieza

The room was roomy, we wished for a separate sleeping room, but this was an all in one stay Beds in the same room, no separate kitchenette or living room space No free breakfast

No new renovations Tubs could afford a facelift Actually the whole bathroom The rooms are definitely not anywhere near sound proof The people that stayed next to us could hear all the hissy fits and cranky toddler whines of our youngest child The staff is friendly and professional Nice outdoor area to sit and relax Near a lot of fastfood restaurants For the cost though, we’ve stayed at better Not one that would be my first pick, but not bad enough to be my last pick either

Super large room Very quiet and comfortable Impressive wide open atrium with the pool in the middle, surrounded by the bar, restaurant, and dining area, so if you’re self-conscious in your swimsuit, you may suffer some anxiety swimming

We did the stay on the way to the airport thing with long-term parking at the hotel Security monitoring of the parking lot, shuttle was prompt, and drivers were helpful and courteous I am very satisfied with our stay I will visit again when staying in St Louis

Haley Owens

Booked this hotel since I have stayed at a handful of Crown Plaza’s and they are always very nice, clean hotels For starters, getting to this hotel is a NIGHTMARE, especially at night It is RIGHT off the interchange with not a whole lot of signage

When we pulled up to the hotel, there were a few cars of guests in the unloading zone arguing, and they remained there for the about 20-30 minutes while we checked in The hotel inside is definitely dated, but not horrible When we got to our room, it wasn’t anything super impressive but I was here for a work trip, so wasn’t expecting anything super lux There were a couple of guests (assuming, never saw them go in a room) just wondering the halls while we were getting into our room and it just felt super uncomfortable since they watched us each time we got off the elevator and went to our room One even stood right outside the little area where the ice machine was blocking us in for no reason at one point The toilet ran ALL night, LOUDLY Beds were pretty rough and the AC was having a hard time keeping up with how hot it was But again, pretty standard of an airport hotelOverall, facilities are dated, but what really made it lose stars was the “environment” for lack of better words I didn’t feel safe and felt like anyone could walk off the street and just roam the halls

JaMar Jefferson

Our stay at the Crown Plaza was EXCELLENT!! We had a small leak issue in our room, but the ladies at the front desk were very efficient in assisting us And we were upgraded Our kids had the opportunity to swim, and enjoy themselves and the food was good

But, the best part was the bar in the lobby and the bartender Joy! She was AMAZING!!! She makes the best drinks, remembers EVERYONE’S name and made us feel right at home My wife and I loved her We will definitely stay again when we have the opportunity!

I really enjoyed the hotel and its proximity to Main Street St Charles The room had high ceilings, plenty of space for 2, and it was clean

The included breakfast was enjoyable (I really appreciated the waffle maker) I did not use the pool, but I did attempt the fitness center I was a little disappointed that there were no free-weights/dumbbells at all and the room was very very humid and warm (it was right above the pool, so maybe that’s why?) Otherwise, it’s a great little hotel! Staff was always friendly!

Kim K

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it never has disappointed us This stay was no exception The staff, from check in until departure, was extremely friendly

Our room was clean and provided everything we needed Breakfast was very enjoyable It included eggs, meat, waffles, etc each morning There were even gluten free bagels and dairy free milk options Ample parking is available With Main Street St Charles right outside the door, this location is ideal for shopping in the area

This is a good hotel The rooms are nice and comparable to other hotels in the area It sits along the historic downtown area on the laid brick streets of St

Charles There’s a nice wooden staircase in the lobby of the hotel and I was able to make use of the laundry facilities while I stayed A quality experienceA warning to amorous travellers: the rooms do not muffle loud noises

I have stayed at another of places, this place is in my top five I love the character of this place

It’s old and they keep that feel So do expect that your going to have some old issues I am live with the bed I want to take it home with me if you ever get rid of the furniture let me know I’ll come back here for the bed the rooms were super clean And the service was amazing I felt like that really wanted me here and they appreciated I chose this hotel

Torrence Jack

We were able to secure LAST minute lodging at the Ruebel which we were very thankful for The Grafton Inn blew booking due to not answering the phone The rooms are clean, air conditioned and ours had a fridge, coffee maker and a nice view

Constant access to a beautiful balcony commons area which overlooks the river It’s hauntedwhich was kind of cool Didn’t see Abagail, but our room deadbolt unlocked by itself several times while both of us were in the room (right after we just locked itmore than once) So that was interesting The bar will likely not be open in the hotel but right down the road are a couple places with great food and drinks EASY parking and a gas station right across the street The hotel was quiet and we would stay again We had fun

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This website will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area

I have been coming here for years If you choose this place you won’t regret itWe were in town for a musical at The Fabulous Fox and decided to stay in the loop because we wanted to shop We were not disappointed! The Moonrise Hotel was quirky, comfortable, friendly, clean, and easily navigated The restaurant, The Eclipse, had a great bar where we enjoyed a few drinks after the show, and Sunday morning we had brunch there It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had, and very reasonable Especially good were their pancakes, believe it or not They were made from scratch and had wonderful flavor If you stay at the Moonrise, be sure and eat in their restaurant The roof terrace bar was reserved for an engagement party, so that’s on our list for next time Parking was a bit of a concern because we had been told they were short-staffed and so didn’t have valet, but the parking lot was close by, easily accessible, and safe with a security guard We are usual patrons of the Chase Park Plaza, but we have decided the Moonrise is our new place to stay when we are in St Louis

A unique hotel!Check in was really easy Justin at the front desk was great Friendly and offered recommendations around the city when it came to sights and restaurants

Everyone else we came into contact with was nice as wellThe room was clean with a view of the main street Bed was comfortable, with lots of layers Artwork was just as cool as in the lobby Coffee maker was the typical “hotel coffee maker”, but we brought our own Room had a ton of outlets, which was perfect for all the electronic devices, but didn’t have USB portsParking in the rear of the building seemed a little sketchy, but we didn’t have any problemsOverall a very nice hotel!

Thomas Maner

Me and my significant other stayed here after seeing a Hanson concert next door Very nice hotel! Our room was bigger then my apartment, the bed was comfy, the shower was amazing, and the staff was super friendly The restaurant was closed the day we were leaving but the complimentary danishes were good and the coffee is the best coffee I’ve ever had at a hotel! I defiantly recommend this if you need a place to stay in St

Louis

Far as the hotel goes its pretty decent All the rooms are suites very much spacious Front desk they are helpful, although a few can learn how to talk to guests

They have a year-round indoor/outdoor pool The lobby, common areas, and in general are well managed and clean The casino is huge, beautiful design, various slot machines and tables Staff are always visible and willing to assist

Did a staycation with my daughter and her fiance We rented two rooms Both were very nice

One face the downtown area and all the lights and the other face the river which was nice as well The rooms are very big and spacious Showers are really nice My only negative would be they don’t have a sort of gift shop or place to get things like soda or chips They also don’t have ice machines and vending machines on the floors like most places I assume that’s to encourage you to eat at the restaurants The staff was kind to us to get the rooms close together A little pricey at about $200 per night after the local taxes Would definitely recommend

Larrann Pippin

We purchased a room for 2 nights Mind you we have 2 young children that tagged along We have been to this hotel more times than we can count and have always had an amazing time

We checked in this time and got situated in our lovely room when the kids asked to go swimming We all got ready and went down to find that the pool closes at 6PM for anyone under 21! I asked if this was an everyday occurrence and the lady went on to reply yes Never have I ever heard of such a rule before As I stated earlier we have been numerous times before We were very disappointed especially when we couldn’t even check in until 4 We pay a pretty penny to come here but it makes it all worth it to let the kids enjoy the awesome pool Little to say the hotel definitely lowered their family friendly atmosphere a notch by making this change
