I read a mix of reviews about this place but I liked the management responses to the reviews so we decided to give this place a try I’m VERY glad we did! Parking was easy, free and plentiful Our room was large and extremely clean! I liked not having carpet and the hard-surface floor in our room had clearly been thoroughly scrubbed

Also, we were happy with how absolutely quiet it was overnight so we could sleep well The beds were soft and comfortable The breakfast was perfectway more variety than expected I loved that the cheese omelettes and potatoes were unseasoned which allowed us to season them ourselves Excellent value for the price! We would definitely stay again

I usually don’t write reviews, but feel like many of the reviews did not paint this location how we felt First the good The staff was great

They were kind and friendly The breakfast was great as well We did get there pretty soon after they opened, about 6:45 or so (breakfast is from 6-10 every day), but it was fresh, eggs with cheese, sausage, biscuits filled with sausage and eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy, waffle station, cereal, bread and bagels, fruit, juice and coffee We did stop by before leaving about 8:30 one morning and all of the waffle stuff was put away, so it may go fast The location also seemed fairly safe, even though it is a rougher area a few blocks overOne of the reasons we booked the hotel was because it had such great reviews and was recommended for families We were traveling to visit the Zoo and FairyTale town with our young kids, 2 and 4 This is more of a mix between hotel and motel Some rooms are accessible from hallways inside, others are outside through a locked gate, more like a motel We stayed in one of these rooms When we walked in, the smell of cleaning supplies took us back and all windows had been left open They have removed all carpet and replaced it with linoleum floors, our feet were sticking to the floors as we were walking around (we assumed from whatever they used to clean) The beds also shifted on the floors if you leaned against them or bumped them Because of the floors and lack of carpet and padding, you hear every step the people above you make There isn’t a built-in closet, but a freestanding one and desk and cabinets with a fridge and microwave in it These close very loudly with strong magnets Again, you can also hear when your neighbors close theirs Not helpful with small kids if you are trying to open or close them while kids are sleeping The bathroom only had one bar towel rack, a back of door hook would have been helpful, there is basically no counter space, and the toilets don’t have lids Not very friendly for sharing a space with others, or being able to close the lid so kids don’t throw stuff in It gave the bathroom a public restroom feel It would have been nice as well for them to see we reserved the room for 4 people and provide enough bath towels and washcloths for everyone, but I had to request more They provided containers on the wall in the shower for shampoo, conditioner and body wash, the conditioner was empty (only to find out while taking a shower), and they had hand soap and lotion on the wall in the bathroom The lotion was not lotion Overall, this was not what we would have expected for the price or the other reviews

Jojo Dukes

When we first saw the room we were like wow nice! as we entered we could smell that funky rundown motel smell, there was a spill on the table/counter top that was next to the TV Luckily we always take a container of sanitizing wipes with us because I had to get to work and wipe down all table tops, bathroom cupboard top, sink and toilet, the wipes were so dirty, I was surprised because it looked like everything was nice and clean except for that spill On our wall was a bug that looked like a roach that someone smashed but no one cleaned it up

One thing the sheets looked nice and clean We were really happy that we stayed only one night

The Westin Sacramento is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at (and I have traveled quite a bit) The staff was exceptional We arrived about 9 p

m without a reservation and they accommodated us immediately My son is allergic to down, so they quickly changed out his pillows and comforter This hotel is absolutely beautiful The lobby, bar area, and conversation room is pure class There is a large fireplace in front of the comfy chairs and couches that we took advantage of, while relaxing with a cocktail from the bar There are gas fire pits on the grounds lit in the evening, if you would like that experience All nestled along the beautiful Sacramento River The hotel restaurant is Scott’s Seafood, which is first class Although we were traveling and could only stay one night, I would not hesitate to stay here as a destination for a relaxing vacation! Absolutely lovely!

I was in town on business and needed a place to rest for a bit I booked a room at The Westin Sacramento They offered valet parking but I wasn’t going to be there overnight so they allowed me to self park

Check in took less than 5 min probably I went up to my room and it was clean and tidy The room was quiet which allowed relax for a bit I didn’t get to check out any amenities but would love to go back and eat at the restaurant I hear its great!

Nav3466

We are checking out today and had a wonderful experience at the West Inn The parking is valet only but it is convenient The beds were extremely comfortable, loved the mirror lights in the washroom, the rain shower, the tub, as well as the lavender sleep sample

Loved seeing the bike every time we came in Great attention to details! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Looking for a reasonable place to stay, well you found it I made my reservations over the phone with Julie She was very helpful and applied my AAA discount to my reservation

She gave me the exact total with taxes included, so there was no misunderstanding over the charges being madeCheck in was at 2pm and Check out is at 11amI checked in April 30, 2022 at 5 pm The young man who was at the front desk was very friendly Informed me that there is someone at the desk 24 hours a day This was comforting to me since I was traveling alone I booked a king size bedroom and will provide pictures of my accommodations Didn’t have any major issue during my stay The floor was relatively quiet, I know that isn’t always the case There were ice machines on every floor and lobby had vending machines for beverages and snacksThe bed was comfortable Didn’t see any signs of rodents or roaches My view from the third floor was of the parking lot, which was fine since I can keep an eye on my carI gave it 4 out of 5 stars because my peep hole was broke on the inside, which made it easy for people too look in I fixed the problem by stuffing the peep hole with toilet tissue And, my phone was broken too I couldn’t receive phone calls from my husband, but I was able to call out The only reason this was a problem is because my cell phone was over heating after traveling 4+ hours I had to keep it off and my husband didn’t have a way to get a hold of me

Everyday we had get a key 22 days and don’t get me started on house keeping They would mark us down as being cleaned and was not First week I asked for clean towels and they said our room was just cleaned

No clean towels garbage in the can beds not made The last day we were there cleaned the room one towel between us and no wash cloth Not happy we were there for 3 weeks

Luana Jacques

Upon check-in my CC was having issues , Mandy tried to figure out what was going on She ended up upgrading my room which I didn’t ask her to do, but I really enjoyed the business suite I ended staying two more nights unexpectedly and Julie was able to keep me in the same room

Because of Mandy and Julie’s excellent customer service I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a safe and quiet hotel to stay in The daily breakfast was yummy when I checked out I did suggest to Julie to maybe have hand sanitizer available in the breakfast area even tho there was a bathroom close by

Quaint and old fashion, but it is a riverboat, so wonderful all the same! Our room was on the river side of the boat and the sea lions woke us up each morning, but they were fun to watch and we were able to make coffee in the room which was helpful The included breakfast was good and all of the staff we encountered were great to work with The proximity to old town Sacramento and the train museum made this hotel the perfect location

We enjoyed ourselves, but remember this is a very old restored riverboat so book with that understanding and you will not be disappointed

Steve Ody

It’s an old boat so many of the little issues can be explained away Definitely not a luxurious hotel but an interesting experience Rooms are small but decent and clean

Free breakfast was good but a bit cold Bar was fun, especially on Irish nightRecommend for the experience but maybe only for a couple nights max

Brendan Sargent

I stayed here 1 night in late Feb 2022 as i needed a place close to the Amtrak station I loved this place! It has so much personality and was cheaper than other downtown hotels It includes an amazing and complimentary breakfast in a dining room that is elegant and unique and i had friendly service

Yes, some people complain the rooms are small and the toilet is old school (but it made the experience unique and everything worked fine) but i thought the room size was perfect for 1-2 people I highly recommend this place and think it is great value for the money

-Clean facilities-Easy check in and check outWe disliked:-Parking situation if you have a bigger vehicle it’s quite difficult to maneuver and narrow spaces-Breakfast choices ( 2% milk and 3 cereals Toast, butter, cream cheese and jam Waffles and syrup Limited fruit Danish bread VERY strong coffee)

Boutique hotel (which are usually charming) but this place needs some cleaning-Lobby and hallway carpet is exceedingly dirty Parking is super scary – one lane down a winding corner and hope no one is coming😳 The TV continuously loses connection so the show pops on and off

I paid $40 for the worst onion rings and chicken tenders ever Bed is comfy but pillows are tiny- overall, probably would not recommend

Garbage and LiesI made a reservation only because it was close to the Hospital and the pictures looked decent My fiance’ had been diagnosed with a very bad Cancer and was booked for an emergency surgery at UC Davis

We live 200 miles away and it was important for her to have a clean and quiet place for her to recover for a couple days after the surgery We also had family coming in from around the country to support and they need to be accommodated the day of – parking was TERRIBLE and limited We showed up only to find the hallways leading to the rooms we filthy and the place was dingy The room smelled of mold and we immediately left We explained this to the manager and he was extremely apologetic once I explained my needs & concerns I explained we needed to find somewhere else that was clean and adequate He said he understood and promised a full refund, however we booked through a third party and we had to go through them He promised as soon as I made the call, he would allow the refund through the third party I looked him in the eye and asked ” I have your word that their will be no problems with this” and he nicely replied “absolutely not” At that moment it was more important to get my fiance comfortable so we went on to find another property When we finally found another suitable place I made that call for the refund that was promised, Now, the story changed once I wasn’t right in front of this kid He explained he would NOT issue the refund and never made that promise He explained I was still responsible for the first day and he would waive the rest BUT this was contrary to everything we had clearly spoke about Fortunately my credit card company was much more willing to accommodate and reversed the charges themselves despite this kids lies I certainly would not recommend this place especially if you have medical needs

My family stayed @ Larkspur Landing hotel in Sacramento, California briefly and our experience was awful and we’ll never returnThe parking lot didn’t look monitored, and there were used syringes everywhere, so gross On check in our room looked nothing like the photos online, it looked grotesque and depressing

And the bathroom had maintenance issues We were going to check out due to all of the above but we had dinner plans that evening so we just dealt with it When we were there a front desk “manager” (a Caucasian woman in her 40s? with circa 2005 yellow highlights) was repeatedly unpleasant Said manager was also hostile and ignorant towards me when I needed something simple for our room The sheer amount of ugliness that this “manager ” kept projecting at us seemed personal, so I rightfully critiqued her for it Despite us trying to avoid her, the next day that same”manager” maliciously attacked us in the lobby about my criticism from the previous day I guess she couldn’t handle someone standing up to herThis “Manager’s” self entitled child-like buffoonery projected at us was vile at that point We didn’t owe her the time of day so we immediately disengaged with that “manager” and left the lobby We ended up speaking to the GM of the hotel , and he apologized profusely for that incidentAlso, per my request I was assured by the GM that we wouldn’t have to engage with said manager again for the remainder of our stayHowever, we were over it And thankfully we cut our stay short at this trash hotel and booked a suite at a cleaner hotel with a classier staff ( Marriott) The staff there couldn’t have been nicer and more professional, and the property was gorgeous and well maintained It ended up being an absolute perfect fit for us, so thank you Marriott

Brandon Prince

For the price, it is an extreme value! The premises are very clean and clean smelling The amenities are top-notch in the breakfast is better than most of the continental breakfast you see Also the staff is extremely accommodating

The only small downside is that the room was a tad small and TV HDMI were both malfunctioning Not a big deal for me though It was a very great experience

Nse Imoh

This was probably one of my worst experiences at a hotel Came from the bay to attend the bubble race with my 2yr old Check-in was fine, the woman at the front desk was very kind and pleasant

She offered to put me where it would be a little more quiet When we got to the room Friday night, noticed ants all over the bathroom, they said they would send someone up and that never happenedThen when we got back to the room to sleep, there was an extremely loud party that went on until 3am (Not the hotel’s fault) but none the less very disruptive “Breakfast” the next morning was horrible It seemed like it was just pastries scattered around from the local grocery store The creamer for the coffee was all the way spoiled and the woman at the front didn’t make an effort to change it or remove the spoiled creamer I tried to canceled my room for the second night to no avail That night, the fire alarm goes off at 4am and disoriented, I had to grab my 2yr old and rush him outside in the rain We were outside for about a half hour before they let us back in The next morning in an effort to let my son sleep considering the night he had, I asked if we could get a late check-out (check-out is at noon, I asked for 1pm) the front desk attendant was extremely rude and wouldn’t let us nor would give me a reason why I couldn’t Overall is was a horrible experience and I would highly recommend people look elsewhere, especially for the price (spent $320 for 2 very disruptive nights)

Bed was comfortable Minor nitpicks: no microwave in the room, though there was one in the lobby Toilet was on the low and small, though it gave me a chance to work on my quads Breakfast was minimal, apparently because of COVID But they did offer bananas and mandarin oranges and an instant oatmeal bowl, granola bars, and a small packaged sweet roll

First thing they did was ding me for $10 for parking If it’s on “their” website, it isn’t obvious At least the deal on the room was decent

First floor room Room and bathroom are definitely dated, but relatively clean Inside Outside my room are bottles, cans, and cigarette butts on the ground Can’t remember ever seeing that before at any hotel I’ve stayedThat $1000 would have gone to housekeeping You blew that

Rhonda Robinson

4/5only because of all the construction and the pool was closed in 90 degree weather in July! The food was hot, delicious and ready in 5 minutes Staff were attentive to our needs and friendly They welcomed us and met all of our expectations

Cynthia Carbajal

We got our car window shattered in the middle of the night and the hotel does not want to be responsible for it Nothing was taken as there was nothing valuable in there However they have all this “security” driving around when you arrive but all of a sudden have none at night

It doesn’t seem right For the prices this hotel is charging they should have better service or security when it comes to these things

The Inn is in a great location, walking distance to lots of Midtown restaurants That’s about it Otherwise, everything was disappointing:- No hot water in the morning, despite trying several time and coming back to shower after breakfast- Really bad wifi- It’s a wedding venue and a lot of wedding set up commotion going on- Old building / rooms- Really strong smell of bleach

we had to leave our windows open for hours and the room still smelled at night

I spent 2 nights there is July Staff was very helpful We we offered change of towels, which is not normal for short stays

Breakfast was good, begins at 6 am Coffee , teas and Lemon water are available throughout the day for free There are snacks available for purchase at the front desk The pool and spa are indoors which was great to get away from the heat There is also a small gym which was good enough for my teenage boys:) I will be staying there again in August

Tummypoke

The hotel lobby looked nice but you weren’t allowed to hang out as well as their “to go” brown bag breakfast was lackluster I apparently reserved a handicapped room, which was not apparent to me when reserving on the It was super noisy as we heard a lot of in and out traffic next to our room, as well as a dog barking on 2 separate occasions (I didn’t know that this was a pet friendly hotel)

The room was large enough and had a nice writing area as well as a reading chair with ottoman The bed was firm and comfortable The location of the hotel was a short distance from many restaurants, so you really could take your pick of fast food and sit down restaurants They had an indoor pool but it felt dirty as there were miniature bits of pool noodle in the pool There was no screen to use to clean the pool, and you had to reserve your time slot in advance as a max of only 8 people were allowed The other annoying thing is the parking There is very limited parking in the front, along with the fact that a majority of the stalls were compact There is parking in the rear, however, the notice on the back door said “do not use” There were men hanging out in the parking lot drinking and smoking and I just felt that it was a little too much rifraf to have to walk completely around the front of the building, making several trips to retrieve my items alone in the dark Overall, I would probably not stay here again

Matthew Chatman

For the price I paid I really couldn’t be happier I left another hotel after a bad experience and this place came to the rescue Clean room and bathroom

Comfortable bed Professional staff Gated parking area Man at the front desk was very well prepared and patient with me Kindly returned my credit card to me after I’d left it at the counter A very honest and forthcoming gesture Couldn’t be happier with this place

First time we went to the spa it was great So I got my wife a gift card and she went to use it for a massage which should include jacuzzis and steam rooms They said due to covid she can’t use the facility

This is march 13 2022 All covid restriction have been lifted since February 16 2022 for Sacramento county They don’t want to refund the gift card

Indigo Queen

Amazing!! We received full body Swedish massages and they hooked it up with the oils and the aromatherapy (is also a dope option) 10 outta 10 customer service, massages and pressure, comfort, and just the over all vibe Felt like we were on an island

They got tea and chocolate too Oh laawwd!!! The stream room reminds me of that movie the fog, got a little nervous but my pores thanked me after Getting facials next month and another soon

Kaycee

After showing us where our locker rooms were, we were given no other instructions where to go, where to wait, what happens next as we were planned to have massages Having to flag the same attendant down and asking her where to go, she seem unenthused/annoyed and rude in her response The massages though were awesome and it was overall relaxing and enjoyable

Kenia was great After we returned to the locker room, other guests we’re being walked through and we overheard the same attendant going over everything, including where the showers were, saunas, bathrooms, where to go, what to expect etc It’s disappointing to know that other clients received better service than we did while we were here Walking out, I had asked another attendant what the other’s name was and she had asked me if there was any problems I let her know my concerns and she explained that the girl is new and probably had “nerves” Understandable I guess? But being new doesn’t give you the right to be snobby and rude I just hope this serves as a learning experience for next time if you want to keep guests happy

06/21/22: My parents and I stayed two nights at this Fairfield Inn while visiting family right by the hotel in Sacramento The front desk service was really friendly David, the manager, and a new employee (I forgot his name) helped to check us in early

We got a room on the second floor So we appreciated that they got us in earlierI gave the hotel 5 stars due to their service To be honest, the room was clean, but the hotel needs a refresh/remodel It looks exactly the same when I last visited 5-6 years ago The rooms, bathrooms, facilities, elevator all need a little love The elevator is super slow I know it’s only going up 3 stories, but it is slow I checked out breakfast both mornings and it was definitely nothing to write aboutThe main pluses of this hotel were that the front desk was super nice and it was located literally less than a mile from my family The hotel served its purpose Definitely not luxury or grand More convenient than anything else

What an amazing location, room, and so so clean! We stayed at indulge for two nights and I was in Awh over how beautiful this location, buildings, and our room was (Photos online don’t do this place justice) Staying in hotels is always scary to me, but wow was I pleased You walk in, smells and looks so clean

With covid, check in is done over the phone day of, and then you get a code for front door and also your roomThere is a decent amount of ring cameras everywhere to make you feel safe Great keurig and coffee in room and everything Definitely want to come back!

I stayed there with my boyfriend while visiting for a wedding There were awesome breakfasts every morning and the room was amazing and kept clean We even set up a couples massage one of the days and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had

Near the end of our stay my boyfriend became my fiancee He had them set up the room with rose petals and champagne The staff was so nice and when they saw us the following morning they all congratulated us

Came here for my birthday and stayed in the Villa King Suite on bottom with my man and two little ones It had a beautiful living room and kitchen with full kitchenette, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, table, oven, and kurig coffee machine with tea and Pete’s coffee The bedroom and bathroom with jet tub and shower were lovely

Oh yeah can’t forget the super plush robes available as well Lots of space for your belongings as well with a dresser and closet thst had a safe, iron and ironing board This suite is especially kid friendly and is the only one that can hold up to 4 guests There’s a park/playground across the street so perfect for if you are bringing children The sparkling champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were so tasty, the pull out couch was super comfy alongside a gas operated toasty fireplace TV was also available with subscriptions only though I’m pretty sure Overall though I really enjoyed my stay, and I hope to stay here again real soon In the same suite or even try a different one next time😊

Once again, a wonderful experience at Holiday Inn Express, Elk Grove This hotel consistently offers everything I need when traveling I want to give a special mention to Lauren S

She gave me the extra assistance that I needed over the phone prior to arrival as well as when I arrived As this hotel is right off the 5 freeway and always busy with many people checking in and moving about the lobby, Lauren managed it all effortlessly She definitely understands hospitality and managed everyone professionally as well as with kindness I deeply value having that experience (as I have also worked in the hospitality industry for decades) Lauren is an asset to the IHG brand, she is impressive and in my opinion, should be considered as a leader for management and training other team members at IHG

Breakfast There was nice staff were friendly but these are the problems hair everywhere im talking in the drawers the bathroom on the pillows, couch, and the bathroom When we got into the room the TV was on the floor! Also the room only had 1 towel in a 2 bed room The bed sheets had greyish stains

Couch has yellow stainsThought swimming would be nice but the pool is freezing cold not heated like all the other hotel pools ive been too and the Hot Tub wasnt even hot The pool & hot tub had leaves everywhere and rocks and pebbles at the bottom and the water looks like its turning green like if the pool hasnt been maintained in a while

My experience – This company did not honor its promises and showed complete disregard for the customer Why? I made reservations weeks in advance for a 2 bedroom with riverside views This was a special mother-daughter trip with my mom, who is 93

When we arrived, I was told the reservations would not be honored because they overbook reservations Their attitude was that as a customer, I did not matter, and I had to take what they gave me So, I had to settle for a room with one bed and one pull out sofa The sofa was hard and dumpy The bed my mom slept in had one sheet We requested house keeping but did not get on their schedule, so no cleaning The safe we needed for our jewelry was brokenThe attitude and actions of this hotel were extremely disappointing I have been to other Embassy Suites and never experienced such disregard It was especially clarifying when I overheard another person who had reservations six months in advance and they were not honoredI should note that they did give me a discount on the lousy room that was provided However, a discount does not make up for spoiling a portion of a well-planned and special visitI would not recommend this Embassy Suites

It is difficult to describe excellence in a few short sentences but here goes: Location: just a few short blocks and easy walk to downtown, and very close to the river front trails and old town Rooms: the rooms are very well appointed with high quality amenities They main lobby is incredible with a beautiful atrium and places to sit and dig the amazing vibe

Staff: All of the staff here was incredible We brought our small dog and staff were very accommodating with our little pup and we very much appreciate that touch They never once questioned anything about our dog Of course we are responsible pet owners and made sure she could use the bathroom outside Food: Incredible coffee and a breakfast that will leave you satisfied and fulfilled It was truly scrumptious Thank you Embassy Suites for an amazing stay We will be back!

Great rooms, nice location Breakfast was great with lots of varietyCheck in was sub par- there were 4 people at the front desk including concierge, but only 3 checking in the line of guests that extended out the door

Could have been friendlierValet parking is required, otherwise you pay $25 to park in the garage across the street

By far a better choice than Friday’s hotel that we left to come here So glad we did! This hotel met every expectation and more The staff was on top of their game and super friendly

I have been traveling for a month and this is my top favorite that we have stayed at Everything was so clean everywhere we went and it felt like home at the same time Their beds are not to firm and not to soft So they should make most people happy For me I prefer a super soft bed but I will not mark something down just for my prefance The breakfast was perfect the staff tending to breakfast was on top of everything and she cleaned the tables right away so that they were clean and sanitized for the next person and she had everything filled for the next rush of hungry people and she was very friendly which is a bonus When we come back to visit the grandparents this us our new spot to stay from now on!

Excellent location! Very, very good facilities with excellent furnishings and completely all up to date design! Excellent service and very, very clean rooms and public areas as well! The only reason don’t get a 5 star it’s because has no safe in room, hot tubs in suites and other items a 5 star hotel would have! Having said this, this place is very, very good! Definitely will be staying here again!

We arrived at 6:30 am with a reservation at another hotel Whereupon we were notified that we had to wait until 3 p To check in

On a lark and desperate to get my wife off the street I wandered into comfort suites on Jibboom st The lady informed us of the same 3pm policy but went ahead and booked us into a room right awaythe room was beautiful, clean just excellent We’ll stay there again

THE WORST PLACE!!! THE WORST RECEPTIONISTS!!! If you want to feel calm and rest DO NOT STAY HERE FULL OF HOMELESS, the hotel has a gate but it has an open space where anyone can enter the parking lot The front desk girls do not even greet you when you enter and they have a bad face

Dirty room smells bad It is not safe for families or anyone who wants to rest and feel safe RUN

Nice hotel and in an excellent location During the week it’s full of business people which adds to a relaxed and professional atmosphere At the weekend however, it fills with a younger, more party orientated crowd

Pool can become crowdedGym is great but is in a bizarre locationWe had to repeatedly ask to get our room cleaned which was a bit strangeStaff are for the most part friendly and helpfulWorth noting the bar shuts at 10pm

My family and I stopped by to attend a graduation ceremony at the Golden 1 center The hotel was walking distance from the venue and had many great spots along the wayThe room was very clean, quiet, and we felt very secure throughout our stay

The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpfulWe had no issues with the parking, and were very thankful for the in and out privileges for when we had to make short trips

A decent stay at the Hyatt Sacramento Service was great Vines restaurant was surprisingly fantastic

Bed was comfortable and the AC worked well Good views of the capital Fitness center is connected to the hotel but you have to go outside to access The wifi needs some significant improvement as it continually dropped throughout my stay Great location near the capitol building
