We arrived a little late to check in and only needed to stay one night for a work training and the staff was super attentive and friendlyCommunication was amazing about parking and I really loved that the gates are closed, with keys to get in and out as we needThe room was spotless and cute

Everything is clean, friendly staff Coffee in the morning and overall a wonderful stay!I will be recommending this location and we will be sure to reserve rooms here, next time we are in the area It’s a short distance to Long Beach and even walking distance there are a few restaurants and convenience stores

Amy

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved it It felt like our lil apartment The owners opened the gate for us for the parking when we got in at 3am, which we were so grateful for

John was also amazing and provided excellent customer service by shipping my boyfriend’s phone charger we left behind to Vegas He went out of his way to text me the confirmation # We will definitely stay here at this beautiful hotel again Great customer service experience and clean room I would definitely reccomend this place to everyone I also loved the different color doors Thank you so much!

Very good inn for the price The rooms are small but are kept really clean They close the parking gate at 10PM so you can’t park inside if you come after that, there’s plenty of parking out on the street

The location is really good as well, you’re about a 10 minute drive from downtown Long Beach and about a 15 minute drive to Ports O’ Call

My family staying here after an accident at my parents home Staff helped us get adjoining rooms on 1 hour notice Then helped us move parents to the closest handicapped-accessible toom within a week

Breakfasts are wholesome and variety is good Cleaning staff is accommodating Rooms are generally quiet Gated parking is a plusThe only thing is that carpet and hard floors are so old and dirty they are sticky and socks turn black in a day Would love it if floors were steam cleaned periodically

I’m 62 old wife 64 We requested room on first floor We reserved 2 or 3 weeks in advance

We arrived very early, extremely tired after a night flight The staff was wonderful and told us to get some breakfast at their place and took care off all of our luggage After that we went to the beach with beach chair and bath towels from the hotel

They gave us an early access to the room and the luggage was already taken care ofThe room was a little bit smaller than it looks like on the pictures but the view was fantastic Big bathroom The bed was amazing but the sofa bed was terrible to sleep on for our teenagers The madras was thin and there was always some noise when mowing around during the nightAs this was pretty expensive nights compared to other hotel this period, we was surprised that they didn’t make the sofa bed before night time We took some pillows from our bed to the sofa bedThe most sad part is that the bathroom was not clean when we checked in On the floor under the sink there was a lot of red something and was easy to spotI told the reception and they said they would take care of it Later that evening they gave us extra new towels, but the floor was still the same… I told they about this the next morning and had the same answer as they day before The day went by and no one had cleaned the bathroom The next day I had to go look for the cleaner’s my self All the staff on the hotel was super nice and friendly A big plus

Our stay has been wonderful for the past few yearsThe hotel is in a great location and the staff has always been wonderfulMy family has been to this location for at least 3 years now

Every year, as we leave the premises we have scheduled our vacation for the next year It’s always the same time to celebrate a birthday This year we even spent 2 more days than our usual To my dismay, tonight’s evening manager tells me to my face that there is really nothing special about my family coming every year It is “supply and demand” and we are not any different from any other customer!! Really???I was trying to buy book our next year’s celebration as she was telling me thisI told her that I was extremely appalled! Is this what her company really expects of her??If that is the case, there shouldn’t be any customer loyalty to the very people that we believed had our interests always in their priority? My family is extremely disappointed 🙁

Jose Alonso

My Family and I (party of 9) booked 2 adjacent rooms together for the 4th of July weekend and we had an amazing experience! The staff was wonderful, great to talk to, easy to request items, and the hotel and rooms were clean The room was larger than standard, with a king bed and a foldout couch plus a kitchenette with a cooktop and refrigerator and microwave Plenty of space for storing all the luggage plus beach items

The Hotel provided beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, and kids sand toys, all complimentary! This is our new home away from home, definitely recommended to all!

Amazing service!!!Definitely recommend for clean rooms and tons of space for hosting eventsWe just hosted our wedding at this location and were AMAZED at how great the service wasThis particular Marriott’s Senior Event Manager, Elissa, truly went above-and-beyond in ensuring we received all the help we needed, fulfilled every request, and was very proactive from day 1

Our guests who stayed at this hotel also told us about how much they enjoyed their stay, as this is a place that has pretty much everything on site (restaurant, coffee place, room service, etc) It was close enough to the freeways to allow for an easy drive in and was right across the street from a major shopping center, so it was in a pretty nice and lively areaThe hotel staff were also very accommodating with all of our guests who checked in, as I remember we had a few folks who needed XYZ support and it seemed like they definitely got it when they arrivedI also found this hotel to be very military friendly, as we had a small military service held here and they seemed more than okay with us doing our thingAlthough it is a bit pricey, I think it is well worth it because it seems like the staff and management really go all out to support the guests and ensure they have what they needI would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to host a major event (they have HUGE ballrooms that take up 3 floors of space!) and I’d also recommend it to anyone looking for a nice room to stay in with easy access to local food and drink, as they have both on siteIf you do plan to host an event here (like a wedding or a work meeting or whatever), I would highly recommend Elissa as she was really great to us and gave us a ton of supportThank you, Elissa!

Rooms are nice Looks like it was recently renovated Hotel is very busy; hard to get any upgrades

Very convenient to the mall next doorStaff very friendly and professional While they weren’t able to check me in when I arrived, they did their best to get me a decent room as soon as possible

Iwanda Williams

The hotel itself is beautiful But when I made my reservations and paid for this room, I was not informed that it was a hold of $100 per night until I arrived at the hotel The manager did reduce the hold but I ask for the corporate office number

Everything I call the number it’s a fast busy signal I will not stay at this overrated hotel again

I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD!!! DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING/LISTING COSTS ME MONEY, TIME, AND SUFFERING! THE FRONT DESK CLERK CONTRADICTED HIMSELF THE FRONT DESK CLERK DOES NOT CARE, IS COMBATIVE, AND IS RUDE IT WAS A TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE

My boyfriend booked a room for us to celebrate valentine’s day early This is because we are long distance and I work on that day He accidentally booked this hotel My Dad provides wheels because I don’t drive, and he doesn’t have a car The front desk clerk asked for a license plate and my boyfriend asked if he needed our license plate My boyfriend told the front desk clerk he would have us over for a few hours The front desk clerk said he didn’t have a problem with it But then when we got to the hotel room, he called the phone THREATENING TO KICK BOTH US AND MY BOYFRIEND OUT HE SAID HE WOULD KICK US ALL OUT IF WE DID NOT LEAVE IN FIVE MINUTES HE CITED A HOTEL POLICY OF NO VISITORS/GUESTS! THIS WASN’T DISCLOSED UNTIL WE APPROACHED THE HOTEL ROOM! HE DID NOT LET MY BOYFRIEND KNOW OF THIS UPON CHECK-IN IT IS NOT DISCLOSED ON THE WEBSITE EITHER He gaslit my boyfriend when confronted The confrontation was heated, and the front desk clerk was escalating it Luckily, the front desk clerk offered a refund which my boyfriend did receive We stayed in a different hotel, but the traumatizing experience left us shook up the whole night We are now having to book a different hotel this weekend to spend some quality, enjoyable time together DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR BUSINESS!

A short drive from LAX on the Pacific Coast Highway and free parking make this hotel perfect for those arriving in Southern California later in the evening The rooms are simple, but clean Walking distance to the ocean

The Boy and the Bear Coffee Shop is a fantastic coffee roaster nearby if you want to drive and grab a quick coffee for your walk The attached Thai restaurant is so good, especially the BBQ Chicken Only drawback is some road noise A wonderful find!

A

We got the Deluxe King Room The room is small, but it worked out well for the two of us The bedding was clean & very comfortable

As for the location, it was perfect Walking distance to Redondo Beach and about 25 minutes to LAX The free parking was a plus and it was hassle free! We brought along two cars Though, they do only offer one free parking space per room, there is free parking on the side of the road Great place to stay when on a budget!

Just got back from spending a week in Hermosa Our 3rd time out there, first at the Hampton Great hotel, great location

Anthony at the desk was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable Actually all the staff were friendly and helpful Requested an ocean view roomdid not disappoint! Very clean and comfortable Next time we come out there definitely will be staying at the Hampton

Michael DeGroot

Decent enough hotel Located in a great spot to walk for food or the beachBreakfast was fine just not a lot of selection compared to some others I’ve had

Our room had a balcony area, but was in a tight spot between buildings so no real view there We did get early check-in

Daniel Torres

Location is within walking distance of beach, but hotel is really not up to Hampton Inn standards Building is old, parking lot is small, and rooms are “spartan” in furnishings and decor No carpet in room and everything is dated in appearance

Towels were damp which may be result of housekeeping staff overloading dryers so that nothing tumbles and dries as it should Rooms could be cleaner too Staff is friendly, however

Had a big family reunion at the hotel! They were very accommodating with the family, with all of the check ins and the use of the Catalina room for games and activitiesOur specific room had a lovely view of the ocean The sliding glass door to our room had great noise canceling as well

We were able to hear live music from a local car show with it open and then close it to take a nap Great room, clean and functional, no issues!

Christina

Checking in for our reservation was fast and the hotel is walking distance to the pier The hotel is decorated nicely There is a bar in the middle of the lobby as well as a gift shop

My room had a decent view of the ocean and was a nice size The bed soft and comfy For one night the room was about $250, parking $32 and deposit $100

Sea & Bill Peterson

This Sonesta is outstanding The staff were wonderful, especially Angel Luis, the manager, was amazing

The only downside is the parking situation The fees are high and the automated system was not functioning People playing their personal music by the pool was irritating; especially the young kids and their heavy metal sounds We had to close our doors and go inside, despite having notified the front desk It would have been handy to have a restaurant on site

I didn’t lodge here My late parents’ friend visiting from Alabama stayed at the hotel She loved it

We had a late dinner in the dining room! It was great and the service was top-notch! I love the DoubleTree hotels We used them for Continuing Medical Education courses that were offered by my previous employer They live up to the highest of standards If you desire the best accommodations and excellent service you’ve come to the right place Also, they have a very nice sports barlots of great seating and plenty of televisions for every sport you could possibly desire! They have so many excellent accommodations for receptions and other special gatherings Be sure to include them as a possible venue when planning an event

My stay was awesome besides I wasn’t offered any of the complimentary items during the checking in process A mention of a breakfast ticket would of save me the embarrassment of going back to my room to get my wallet During my 5 day stay I had to request towels twice on my fourth day

To any future guest it’s only a reminder to acquire these amenities as well as dry cleaning if necessary My stay was very quiet for as busy as this hotel gets, to explain why I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cinemagirl9189

I stayed at the Doubletree in Carson, CA from 5/20-5/22 and it was a good experience The front desk hostess was very professional and courteous

My room was clean and comfortable-no signs of any critters I had the $20 breakfast buffet and the staff was incredible and the food was good! My only qualm was that my waffles were cold The coffee was good I liked the location, very close to the South Bay Pavilion Mall and other establishments My reasons for giving this hotel 4/5 stars is that it is a bit dated and that I didn’t appreciate the two young ladies behaving badly and immaturely while I was at the front desk checking in This gives the hotel a bad look for the staff I assume these two young ladies were housekeepers

The beds are the absolute worse! The bed is extremely hard, you can feel every spring digging into your back, makes the loudest noise with every move! It was hard to stay asleep when you u consciously shift in your sleep If you have back problems this will definitely make you sufferI advised the staff serval times and even 1 week ahead of time

I would require a 1st floor room with immediate access to outside since I have trouble with stairs due to an injury When it was time to check in they said I had to go a second floor room, that had no immediate access to outside for fresh air When I went to complain because it’s difficult and painful to go up and down stairs, they brushed me off with the absolute worst customer service No sorrys just shrugs and oh wells Even got some attitude when I complain that I kept checking in to make sure they know I needed an outside room being on the first floor, can you believe that?!They have a tiny little trash can for their kitchen which is ridiculous since you can fit anything in it especially when you have an entire kitchen The cooking ware looks very run downAlso I find it very awkward and weird how the vents are so conveniently facing the bed, which I advised y’all checking before doing anythingAlso the room we were in had this huge window that faces the living room and part of the bedroom And the ONLY curtain u can close was a SHEER SEE THRU curtain!!!!!! Talk about not being able to walk comfortably thru the room without the possibility of someone looking inside! It was beyond stupid and lack of privacy!I found it very inconvenient and weird how the card you use to open your room can be deactivated if accidentally brushed against your phoneI’m also shocked there was no jacuzzi, very disappointedAlso found yellow stains on our white bed It looked fresh and it made me feel disgustedTheir breakfast was not appetizing, if you take the risk of staying here , you will see what I mean when you go down to breakfastOverall I don’t recommend coming here Sticking with the resident inn by Marriott As someone who is well traveled, this is not the place

Great place to stay, we stayed 4 days here with family, the breakfast is included and is very descent, is not like a grab and go it actually includes eggs waffles, fresh fruit and stuff The service was great I cannot complain about this place at all, everything was clean, staff was nice and they have a coffee machine in the lobby with real Starbucks coffee beans, that was probably the best part for me

그레이스스쿨GRACESCHOOL

I had stayed over a month, staffs were kind and amazing Me and my boys were very happy The location is very convenient such as malls and grocery stores even good restaurants are 5 min

drive away They have free parking lot You have to check out Palos Verdes area and it’s 15 min away I enjoyed staying in Best Western Plus Avita Suite and love Torrance I will definitely come back later

Kaeby

Whatever problems there might be don’t matter as long as they keep doing that breakfast I’m not a morning person at all, but I’m willing to keep getting up before 9am just to get that amazing amount of free food (the only complaint I can think of is how blah the turkey links are, but they got plenty of condiments you can throw on top if you like that sort of thing)Grace (who worked the 5/4 breakfast) got my tip, but it’d be nice if management gave her a bigger one *hint hint*

I’ll update if there are other amazing breakfast staff that work the rest of the week Front desk service on 5/3 was super nice and personableThe rooms (or at least ours) was significantly smaller than expected; even our queen-sized bed barely fit two people I also don’t know if this is every room, but our bathroom was just a shower rather than a shower-bathtubThe main reason we booked this rather than the Extended Stay was because the reviews for the other hotel said that there were “crackheads” that wandered around the parking lot and into the lobby Well BW’s parking lot and their’s is only separated by a short wall We haven’t seen any shady characters wandering around though, so make of that what you will

For some unknown reason this courtyard hotel will not allow food and beverage credits to be applied towards alcohol/drinksUsed suite night awards to upgrade to a one bedroom suite The hotel overall is okay and the staff is helpful

I will probably be back again unless I can find a courtyard in the area that allows more thorough usage of the food and beverage credits

First at all I want to say thank you to the manager of front desk and one of the front desk ladies who, unfortunately, I don’t know the name of They were incredibly professional and friendly

I had a problem with my reservation and couldn’t arrive because one of my family members got COVID, and they were able to help me In the future, I hope that I’m able to actually stay in this hotel I really appreciate all their help because I had a similar situation with another Marriott hotel and they were rude and incomprehensible

Probably the worse experience we had with customer service in this town The front desk was very rude and made a horrible first impression to us and our family friend’s on day 1 It was very clear that management was horrible and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in the hotel industry

Some positive things? The location is good Adjacent to some great restaurants and it’s on a quieter side of the area which was niceThe pool gets full sun which is nice and never gets talked about It’s nice if you want to get away from the hectic beach and sandGood value for the facility/rooms and cleanliness Parking is easy and it’s a quiet areaThe facility would be great if the front desk and management wasn’t horrible This is why they deserved 1 star Paying several hundreds a day to be talked to like you’re about to be evicted for not paying your rent is not cool

James Kolb

The hotel is at a great location, but FAR from being considered a true Hilton property The hotel and bar offer absolutely nothing complimentary (Coffee, tea or even water), breakfast items are a menu choice and are very healthy, but a little pricey The rooms are very comfortable and spacious

The staff was accommodating and friendlyThe pool and hot tub are clean and comforting, however the entire pool area had ONE functioning umbrella for a dozen plus chaise lounges When asked maintenance if they had more umbrellas, he stated parts are on order! Overall…very satisfied

Brian Martino

This is the perfect place for quiet, fun, rest, and relaxation The rooms are perfectly appointed Beautiful oceanfront view from my suite

My meal from foodservice was delivered quickly and friendly and was set up unobtrusively The steak was cooked perfectly! Which is saying something since its difficult to find a rare steak in SCalifornia! The check-in process was seamless and was made to feel valued The staff is just incredible, everyone! Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Been here a few times now so safe to say I can write a reviewNever had a single issue with the rooms here or the staffThe only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars ill get into

The pool area always has a sewage smell It’s really unsettlingAnd that’s the reason for only 4 star But is the pool and jacuzzi clean? yesParking is not an issue Plenty of it Oddly this hotel is EXTREMELY QUIETYou’ll be able to sleep in without any boat noise or dock noise at all It’s actually quite awesomeThe food in the hotel isn’t to bad either I’ve had quite a few things at this hotel and never had an issueBut let me go on about how the staff has really made my stays greatThey always let me park my car in front of the door and leave it there overnight ( if I bring an exotic car ) they’ve always been very professional and helpful with baggage as well they go out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one And to me, that will bring me backSo would I recommend this hotel? Most definitelyIt’s right on the water in the harbor/docks It’s SUPER quiet and the staff will go out of their way to make sure your stay is goodBe sure to checkout the happy hour of course!

I am only giving this place a 3 star because of the location and their gym amenities The area is cool and has a nice walkway around the port and is also a good running path Their gym has good basic amenities that will get the job done

Other than that, their rooms was basic and old It definitely needs renovation including their hallways We ate one night for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and we waited for some time for our food to arrive Our waiter was slow, not that attentive, and not that nice And every time we pass by the kitchen area it had a weird and bad odor coming out from the area This hotel needs to upgrade their rooms, hallways, and their restaurant including their menu

EDIT: management did call and seemed sincerely apologetic We will give the hotel another stay and update the reviewThe hotel is in an awesome location

The staff was friendly upon arrival and the process was quick We booked a marina facing room ( rm 239) My review is for the room itself We paid around 300~ ( including 15$ for one night of self parking) The head boards on both beds were stained a weird yellow color on multiple spots The walls had stains/ splatter marks everywhere The TV was not working consistently The bathroom had dead bugs splattered on the roof and the carpet was stained brown in the high traffic areas This room did not meet our expectations, but they were booked and we couldn’t “switch”The restaurant was good, but a bit pricey We did not visit the pool, since we were only there one nightI think we would stay one more time to see if we had the unlucky room (haha), but I don’t think the room was worth how much we paid

The Jewel Riders Archive

There’s many different aspects to this review And I think that the over arching four stars is for the general experience Some of the service was amazing, some of the service was a little lackluster

The resort as a whole was a little underwhelming The activities offered hotel gas such as horseback riding or kayaking could have been more adventurous; and an actual beach access would’ve been nice The rooms were beautiful The food was decent A little over priced… But I would say if you enjoy sitting in your room and eating at restaurants and listening to live music this is the place to go But if you’re looking for an all inclusive type of a resort this is probably not the place to go

Terranea has been on my list of places I wanted to stay for a long time I can’t say I was totally disappointed, but I was also not blown away For the price, I was pretty shocked at the poor level of service

When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready – at 5:15PM! We had been told we could check in at 4 at the latest, so we were very frustrated to wait with our bags in the lobby after a long day of travel Not to mention, at the hourly cost of this hotel for an ocean view room, that was almost $100 of time we shouldn’t have had to pay forLuckily, the location was spectacular and the ocean view made up for a lot But we were also surprised that after a day by the pool, our room had not been cleaned We didn’t expect a full service even, just simply new towels and a made-up bed This kind of service is what we expect these days from a lower level hotel, but the price they ask you to pay makes the small details matter much moreI would recommend saving your money and booking a vacation where you will get great service I can only hope Terranea goes back to the quality I heard so much about before COVID – as it stands, I would not return

I didn’t stay at the hotel here, but I and my date spent some time at the lobby bar and the garden The lobby bar is a beautiful place, amazing vibe, with live music on the day we were there (a Sunday evening) It really was nice

We almost didn’t want to leave 😀 The food was good (we had the calamari something) and it was a lot I was surprised at the amount of food The drinks were pretty good tooParking was also not bad Just $12 for valet parkingThat was for the lobby bar The garden walk was amazing So so beautiful and the area that overlooks the ocean is breathtaking I highly recommend this place 💯Next goal is to stay for a day or two in the beautiful hotel, and try the other restaurants at the location

This was an upscale hotel which seemed to be nicer than the area it was in The staff was attentive and very friendly The facility was young and in top condition

The beds were full size – queens would be much betterThey had clear security measures in place everywhere While I appreciate them keeping me safe, it made me think that the measures might be necessary and therefore I wasn’t as relaxed as I wanted to beWe stayed here for proximity to LAX for a morning flight and we would be happy to do so again

The rely is not true I did not receive 20% off for my inconvenience My card was charged $454

00 for 2 nights I will post receipts if you post another misleading rely Upon my 2 day visit to the holiday Inn I was put in a room with a toilet that went out I was informed the hotel was sold out I had to remain in the room (GROSS) I did remain because checkout was at 11 am I ask for a credit for my inconvenience I was told a manager would have to contact me While checking out, I asked again and the staff spoke loudly you want a discount I found that rather ignorant and felt uncomfortable I was told I would get 20% off and it never happened Bottomline, I never received a credit and my $5000 hold was never removed from my credit card The staff act like they don’t understand English I don’t recommend this location

Sergio dC

Hotel is kind like not close to anything walkable and the restaurant has limited hours Just a “bulk hotel” with lots and lots of people but, the rooms are quiet Beds were comfy, great size pool and jacuzzi

Breakfast: you’ll probably end up paying for it so I’ll recommend to go somewhere else for that 4 stars based on the restaurant hours and that they’ve wanted to charge me for breakfast (you have to order whst you want so you better have an extra 20 minutes under your belt)

THIS IS A REVIEW ONLY ABOUT THEIR WEDDING EVENT OFFERINGSMy fiancee reached out to the hotel regarding having our wedding ceremony and reception there We met with what I presume is their Event Planner person Some of our family came along, so we could get their opinion as well

The Planner seemed to initially mislead us on the pricing, because all of us recalled her saying the per person price accounted for everything No mention of separate ceremony and reception room fees (which makes sense to us now) So, when we received a price estimate for a wedding package, it was much higher than the approximate calculations we previously did during our visit We brushed it off as a misunderstanding on our partA few weeks later we met with the Planner again, to try to bring the price down She mentioned the possibility of doing a day time wedding, which would be about $3000 cheaper We liked the idea, and provided updated information to the Planner She calculated an approximate total cost and we liked what we saw She said she would send us an official updated estimate in email My fiancee said the Planner said she would send it over the weekend, but she never did Finally, the following weekend my fiancee emailed the Planner asking for an update, to which the Planner replied that she was going to call my fiancee but realized she didn’t have her number She then asked for my fiancee to email her number to her We called BS on this, because the Planner had a whole week to do as she said she would, and never emailed my fiancee asking for any additional contact information until she was contacted by my fiancee My fiancee nevertheless gave her phone number, and the Planner didn’t call her that dayA week or so later, the Planner gets back to my fiancee, informing her that the Director said they won’t allow us to do a day time wedding on the day we want (a weekday), because they have businesses at the hotel during the week days This was not listed on the pamphlet for the wedding package offerings, and the Planner didn’t mention such a restriction eitherNeedless to say, we decided to not have our wedding at the Portofino Hotel Their customer service was horrible and they were unprofessional in their lack of effective and timely communication Such behavior is extremely disappointing, especially since it has to do with such a very important and special day, the planning of which is already stressful enough Get your act together Portofino People, because you look ridiculous

Markelle Reilly

Do not recommend This hotel was NOT worth the money Literally the only good thing was the view

$32 for parking is absolutely ridiculous being that we paid $400 per night for a small room that had no microwave We ordered room service for breakfast and got the notification saying it would be up to our room in about 30 minutes Hour and a half later it never showed up We couldn’t get ahold of the hotel or the restaurant to find out what was going on We finally got fed up with waiting and checked out My husband got this hotel as a surprise for our anniversary and we’ve honestly had a better stay at a Best Western that was way cheaper! I wouldn’t pay more that $200 for this hotel They’re basically robbing everyone

We had a nice stay at this hotel and it was a positive experience overall We arrived a little bit early, around 1:30pm and we pre-checked in so that once our room was ready we could head up We were excited to try the restaurant but it closes and every customer must be out by 2pm

Seems a strange time to close down when you’re most likely to have guests waiting around for their rooms, interested in having drinks and food while they wait This was very inconvenient and one reason for a loss of a star The room was clean and pleasant with a lovely balcony Large shower with a tub inside, great bathroom with bidet and heated toilet seat Room was tidy, although desk chair was worn, with parts of the fabric missing It was fine I also took off a star for the exercise room They have one treadmill, one elliptical, one bicycle, and a couple of weight machines No free weights at all, not a single one There is one single mat to be used and that’s it I guess the guests here don’t tend to exercise much This was a disappointment for me, as I counted on at least a couple of free weights Parking was easy and overall we did enjoy our stay They only clean every other day, so if you’re staying for two nights like we did, you will not have your room cleaned during your stay

I’m very impressed by the tidiness of the facility and the hospitality of the staff here The room was sparkling clean and made me feel extremely COVID-safe I really loved the oversized shower tube and the super comfy bed

In addition, the restaurant affiliated with the hotel has very high quality food I loved the unagi don I ordered Make sure you order ahead of time because they can be busy during dinner rush hours!

This is a gem of a hotel located near Torrance with its own parking lot and extended lot for events The entrance is quite striking with blossom trees and very well kept entrance in keeping with the Japanese style The lobby sports a simple entrance with hotel lobby and check-in on the right and the Japanese restaurant directly opposite the entrance

There is a stunning fire built into the wall between the lobby and the bar in the restaurant also Rooms are a good sized and very well equipped King size bed is very comfortable and the room has a good tv with many channels to keep everyone happy Each room has a balcony with full height windows that can slide open to allow fresh air to enter There is a safe and a jewelry store and the room also comes equipped with tea and coffee and a coffee machine along with an iHome music player A working table with plugs for notebook and computer connectivity adjoins the window area making for a relaxing place to work The bathroom is well equipped with a toilet and bidet and a deep Japanese style bath for relaxing and a wet room shower AVeda shampoo and conditioners and bath salts are provided and available on request The hotel prides itself on its covid policy with each room being cleaned to a very high standard which gives confidence to guests Staying here is nice, it’s quiet so easy to work or relax There are antibacterial dispensers located in the elevators and a snack bar downstairs along with an ATM I highly recommend this hotel Great service, wonderful staff, super clean and totally in keeping with Japanese style with an awesome on-site Japanese restaurant on the ground floor
