Location is really close to the beach/boardwalk Rooms are older- we knew this before our stay but they were clean

One problem for us is that although the rooms are non smoking everyone smoked on the balcony which just blows right in your face when outsideOverall, it was well worth what we paidBring a coffee pot

elaina DeAngelis

We’ve been coming to Sahara on and off for many years for a basic, clean, on the boardwalk stay We’ve always been satisfied until last stay We will NOT be staying at Sahara ever again

Two of the five nights were sleepless due to EXTREMELY LOUD (this was reported and nothing was done) music from a nearby room There were teenaged kids playing in the parking lot around the classic cars way into the night We had several instances where our room key wouldn’t work Safety seemed to be an issue, although we were told security was on premises The housekeepers were extremely friendly and the room seemed clean but NEVER AGAIN I expected, at the very least, to get a decent place to sleep

Laura Pollick

This is our 3rd or 4th time staying at the Sahara over the years, and it will be our LASTOur room was infested with ANTS! We called the first two days and they came and sprayed chemicals all over our room and that was it When we had to physically remove ants from our beds to get it in, that was when we had enough

We talked to management and they DID NOTHING! No other rooms were “available” no discount no nothing! Was told by manager that they were going to do nothing else but come and spray anytime we saw ants I am completely disgusted by how this was handled We have small children and had to make sure no ants were crawling on them They refused any sort of refund Horrible horrible horrible and I will never ever be back to this disgusting hotel!

Although it was my first experience with casinos and found them to be fairly boring, the resort itself was beautiful The rooms were very clean, the whole hotel was And I never felt so safe in a hotel before

But the best thing there were their cakes Eat the 6 layer chocolate and the cheese cake you’ll literally die and go to heaven All around it was great Good service and staff

Kelly James

We had a great time!! The services at the spa were wonderful, the casino was great fun and our room was very nice with a beautiful of the lake The only downside was the food We sent several items back at your upscale restaurant that were inedible, the prices for meals were outrageous and the menu had very limited items

The sports bar had basic items that were enjoyable but the wait was 30 minute wait for a table and an hour wait for food Way too long a wait for bar food Please improve your food service and it will be 5 stars for us!!

William Scott

Talk about customer service!!! Expedia fudged up and never sent our reservation It started out bad with this happening but we didn’t find this out until waiting three hours! The manager Josh fixed it by giving us a night free on them at the sleep inn and also by upgrading us the next night to a suite for the same price we paid for a regular room! The hotel is top notch, extremely clean, and for our anniversary they signed a card with all the staff, had it waiting in our room, and even took up the flowers I ordered for my wife waiting there as well! The rooms are comfy and cozy and the view overlooking the lake was amazing! The Lakeview food is to die for and if anyone says different their name must be KAREN!!! 😂 I’ve been to a lot of places but this little hidden gem an hour from home is by far the best I’ve been to hands down! It was so nice we asked about a time share which I’ve never done or a membership to the hotel!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Rooms are super clean with the most comfortable beds and pillows! I have asthma and don’t usually stay in pet friendly Hotels but our room was completely 100% smoke free and pet freeOur room had great views and a screen door for the balcony to let the fresh ocean breeze in The beach is a VERY short walk out the back of the Hotel

Candace Collins-Fortt

Room review: I love the hard surface flooring The bed and pillows are awesome! The room was very clean and tidy; however, the room was reserved for two adults and two children and we were provided towels and wash cloths for two of usThe reason I won’t be returning—not enough parking for a $419 a night room

I had to park across the street in the dark with my four year old, sleeping daughter My friend watched us for our safety from across the multi-lane street with her three year old son in tow

Kristi Anna

I love staying here every time I come to ocean city The rooms are great, the beds are really comfy and loaded with pillows You get plenty of clean bath linens

great view, clean & spacious with hardwood floors, there’s a little shop in the lobby so you can grab a snack, a drink etc-must have breakfast- that restaurant is so pretty 10/10 experience each time I always sleep well and feel super comfortable (:

The location at the base of the mountain is great Awesome access for skiing There are tons of summer activities within walking distance or a short drive

All the activities that are associated with the resort are a ton of fun I expected a little more out of the main building & room honestly Seems a little dated and underwhelming There is a nice gym, pool, and restaurant/bar (that closes early) right in the main building Overall a great experience

Gavin Murphy

We haven’t stayed in the hotel yet but went skiing and tubing quite a few times this year Trails were good with the Limited amount of snowfall Weekends were crowded as expected but weekdays we had the mtn to ourselves

I will definitely buy another season pass for this year Also, every member of the wisp staff that I have spoken to are extremely nice and willing to help with whatever you need

Mike Jones

I stay in hotels 25-30 times a year for work In 30 years, I’ve had only 2 bad experiences Now it’s 3

I’ve stayed at the Wisp twice before The last time was some 10 years ago or so and it was fine This time is the last time I’ll stay there On the positive side, the pool looked good, but unfortunately, I had no time to try it out On the negative side, the room was very humid and musty I could feel the humidity on the sheets Within two minutes of entering the room, I asked for another room and was told by the desk person that “they’re all that way” I kept the room but went to Lowe’s and bought a dehumidifier I had to empty the tank twice and it was full when I woke up at 6:30am It had helped The toilet seat was very loose, not falling off, but it slid 3-4 inches There was black mold on two parts of the bathtub Exposed cable ran from next to the door on the wall through the bedroom area The Keurig in-room coffee maker was dirty, especially around the coffee capsule area When checking out, I found that I was charged $495 for “Reservation Insurance” that I had not requested I was told by the desk person that it’s an inescapable charge that the hotel puts on the bill, and “you can’t opt out of it” and there’s no removing it I said, “It sounds like extra profit for the owner to me” The desk person replied, “Yep, that’s about it” I paid $17481 for one night I was very disappointed Never again

Stayed here for a clergy retreat in March, so I didn’t get the full effect of a summer resort, but it was still a lovely place Very nice and comfortable room with lots of little extras Meeting spaces were pleasant, spacious, and comfortable

Food was very good Decor throughout, outdoor facilities, and views were all pleasing Staff were pleasant and helpful The building is quite large, so be ready to do some hiking from one end to the other I was aware of the class separation of the place and the advantages one must have to stay at such a place I’m grateful for the subsidized prices we got for this retreat and for a bit of luxury and pampering my career doesn’t often afford, but I wonder if it was a little too posh

First of, I’d like to say that this resort will hold a special spot in my heart because it’s the first trip that my baby boy went on, and he had a great time! What I LOVE:- beautiful pools and fun water slide- so much to do: mini golf, arcade, pool, water sports, etc you don’t need to leave the resort at all!- food is great and good variety at different restaurant- amazing reviews of the Chesapeake bay, we even saw several dolphins (we visited during Memorial Day weekend)- the spa is absolutely FIVE STAR, I had the best facial in my life here, the products they used were so refreshing, the lounge was relaxing, changing room was spacious and cleanThings to improve:- the room feels crammed to me and furniture (including the crib) look outdated, for the $300-400+ price per night I’m expecting a better room- indoor pool wasn’t super clean and had multiple bug/fly bodies (there were so many flies and bugs during that time and the indoor pool has all windows and doors open)Will definitely come back when the rooms/facility are renovated! Overall, a very relaxing and satisfying experience for us

Sakeenah Graham

Good but could be great The property is beautiful and picturesque on the water The staff was EXCELLENT!! Everyone (for the most part) went out their way for guests

But the whole hotel needs a refresh/power wash The windows in the restaurants need washing inside and out along the trim and doors The rooms were oddly decorated but that’s a matter of taste The grout in the shower and floor could stand a good scrubbing The fitness center was missing several weights and they need to replace some of the worn out balls and bars etc I didn’t go to the pool, in part because the chlorine smell was so strong I could smell in halfway down the hallway before the double doors to get to the top floor of the pool All that said, I enjoyed myself and will go back

The food was good and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable I so enjoyed staying here and had such an excellent experience The front desk workers even knew my name after a while and were such a pleasure to interact with The housekeeping staff was equally pleasant and did a great job This is the perfect place to stay both short and long term 11/10 🙂

Beth Bailey

We had a 2 bedroom suite (King + 2 Queens) It was convenient to DC The service (of the front desk staff and those in breakfast/evening social) was quality

Pros: plenty of room for my 5 kids, full fridge & counter in room, some basic cooking things, shower for parents & tub shower for kids, doors to bedrooms, clean upon arrival, front desk staff was nice, mini waffles at breakfastCons: furniture & things had wear (rip in couch arm, non-functional can opener), tiny cooktop, didn’t know we had to request housekeeping to get fresh towels and empty trashService only down a star because they didn’t tell us housekeeping required a request (This is a new, common thing, but we haven’t traveled much since covid and didn’t know)

Staff is super friendly! Hotel location is very convenient Room was clean Bed was super comfortable

We had stayed for a concert at the Pier 6 Pavilion and were able to just walk the few blocks It’s a little more of a walk to get to the aquarium and other harbor activities, but definitely doable There was a bar/restaurant on site (not open 24/7) The windows opened slightly which was nice for the breeze Room stayed nice and cool with air on Water pressure is pretty good compared to other hotels The parking garage fee can be included in your hotel fees and they’ll give vouchers so you can come and go through the parking garage as needed There is an elevator that connects right to the parking garage from the lobby The area seemed safe TV connection was losing signal at times

Jim Kirkman

Hotel was in a safe, great location within walking distance to many restaurants and shops The staff was very friendly and helpful Kenneth went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and like we were staying in a home away from home

Rooms were very clean The bathroom could use a refresh which is my reason for four vs five stars

Jacqui Montgomery

The moment I walked through the door, Kat, greeted me and made me feel welcome Her greeting was just the first of many wonderful interactions I had with staff Everyone was friendly and helpful and made me feel valued

The Maldonado’s

Great location and amenities Morton’s is one of my favorites, and they are located in many nice hotels like this one Make sure you visit on the evening

Our tour had breakfast arrangements, missed the eggs on the last two mornings of the trip To their credit, staff was kind, attentive and accommodating Starbucks in the house too (for those Cafe lovers like us) Safe “business” area, and parking is just around the corner Modern feel with plenty to do around the hotel

Eva S

It’s a good business hotel, quiet standard, could be any brand really Pros and cons below:PROS:Large spacious room with nice expansive views onto the main street, gets good light during the day Comfy bed

There’s a desk to work at if need be Nice staff at the hotel, very accommodating and caring Very clean, good observation of covid rules etc Food served during the event was good too, tasty, good temperature- I recommend the current kitchen staff can certainly cater for breakfast tooAreas to IMPROVE:No breakfast, no pool/spa; the air in the hotel was so dry most event delegates were complaining about difficulty to sleep at night, myself included – I strongly recommend to get lots and lots of green plants, maybe install some air humidifiers for the winter months The shower head was full of limescale – need to check those details and replace Maybe add a picture(s) in the room, some softer interior details – interior now looks so sterile, plain

Mitch Grussing

We visited DC for leisure, and we felt that this hotel was the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and value Driving in from out of town, it was easy to get to this hotel by car, and the Metro stop made it easy to get to all the big sights around the capital Our rooms were clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable

Yes, you have to pay for breakfast here, but there are tons of options nearby, including several in the lobby I was perfectly happy with Starbucks and Dunkin; my husband and his parents sought fancier eats in the morning The only bummer was that there’s no pool and hot tub But still I’d give the place a full five stars because we were truly satisfied with this hotel

Outstanding 11pm to 7am Desk Staff The young gentleman was quick to get us what we needed when we arrived to check-in around 1am He was very polite in offering me assistance while being very attentive to the pain caused by my disability

His kindness in helping us during our stay, as well as getting us checked in quickly and efficiently helped tremendously Really enjoyed our stayI lived in Chesapeake Beach for 20 years , up until 2010 Returning to town, I was shocked by changes made to this small sleepy Beach town It’s becoming to big, over sold, over built up, then an eye sore of a parking garage ruined the entire backdrop to the town I brought my better half to see for the first time I know, changes are progress but still, the golden gem in the rough, now looks like tourist trap and gambling pit

Rebecca Gallery

It’s a nice bingo style casino The slots are not traditional slots, they are ‘tabs’ which is like a stack of predetermined lottery tickets It’s fun for a little while

The food is terrible but the drinks are pretty good The view of the bay from outside is incredible, shame they keep the windows shuttered up like a dark pit That’s the biggest downside It’s really grim inside

Due to a project, which got extended over and over again, i spent quite a few months in total here this year Reception, Bar, Security, Housekeeping staff etc were all so amazing

Felt very welcomed here and the overall competence as well as the motivation of the staff to make your stay special was totally outstandingReally gonna miss most of them and hope to see them again!Absolutely recommended from my sideSafe travels everyone!🙏🏼

Rion McKeithen

I visited this location for business travel and was exceptionally pleased with my experience Upon arrival, I received a small welcome gift [as a member of the rewards program], and had a beautiful lake facing room I was pleased that it was quiet and all service requests were tended to with care

During my stay I enjoyed the fitness facility, restaurant, and adjacent attractions at Rio It was very nice to have the option to go to the movie theatre or walk around the lake right next to the front doorEven though there were many highlights of this trip, the best part was undoubtedly the service provided by Carla [front desk] She went above and beyond in helping me with all of my questions and become acquainted with the area I even had a few requests that were not part of the regular offerings and she helped craft and deliver innovative solutions It was a refreshing relief to receive such excellent customer service that would be more commonly associated with the St RegisOverall I strongly recommend this hotel for any business travelers and also believe it would be suitable for families as it quite safe and orderly There are also adjacent attractions for children including a carousel, large arcade and multiple high quality family restaurants

Sue Bai

My daughter and I stayed here last week during the independence day weekend The hotel was quiet, clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming The location was ideal: we walked over to AMC for a movie-night right across the hotel! The breakfast food was so well prepared I left a note to the food service manager about how much we appreciated the wonderfully prepared food, even though it was a slow weekend with very few customers at the hotel

I am impressed by the quality of the service and highly recommend this hotel!

Phenomenal stay! Was upgraded to a larger room at no additional cost I got the romance package to surprise my wife on our anniversary The Innkeeper was excellent in assisting making sure everything was set up with perfect timing

Really wished we were staying longer so that we could explore the grounds more Breakfast in the morning was also an A+

Before deciding on Gramercy Mansion, we toured nearly 20 wedding venues in Baltimore and surrounding areas We were very nervous when we finally made a decision to book Gramercy, but this decision turned out to be one of the best ones we have made in our livesWe booked the Platinum Wedding Weekend Package

This allowed us to have full access to the mansion Friday afternoon through Sunday morning We highly recommend this package as, even though it is more expensive, it allows you to get up to 30 of your closest friends and family together for the entire weekend, not just the wedding itself Leading up to the weekend, we asked nearly 100 questions via email Each email was answered quickly and without a sense that we were being obnoxious with our questioning They were there to help and that was a comforting feeling leading up to our wedding weekendUpon arrival on Friday afternoon, Gramercy staff immediately came out to help unload our cars and get everything situated before the rest of our guests arrived Every staff member was incredibly kind and helpful and really contributed to our magical weekend They continued to be helpful throughout the weekend, including printing our wedding vows the day of our ceremony!Everything from the mansion staff to the grounds and everything in between was everything we could have hoped for If you are considering booking Gramercy Mansion for your wedding weekend, you will not be disappointed It was absolutely incredible!

If you’re looking for a quiet, serene get-away without a lot of distractions, then this B&B will do nicely The grounds were beautiful, the room had character and charm while being clean & comfortable and the morning breakfast was truly fantastic The Gramercy Mansion was affordable & provided us with a great overnight stay that wasn’t hard to get to, yet felt ‘distant’ from the everyday hustle & bustle that many of us are familiar with

Come to this place with no agenda and you’ll find it easy to rejuvenate

I was here for my Husband’s Birthday/Memorial Day Weekend and we enjoyed our weekend!! The resort is beautiful, the view of the beach was amazing!! The staff from check-in to check -out was friendly and courteous They made sure our visit went as smoothly as possible I really enjoyed our Atrium suite overlooking the pool

My only comment about the pool would be the hours The pool is open 9am -10am adults only, then until 10 pm adults and kids We don’t have any kids but found that we had to get down to the pool early to enjoy the quiet and relax; but noticed before 10 am kids were jumping in the pool Maybe extend the adults only time a little longer? I did enjoy the jacuzzihowever it is rather small My husband is 6’4 and we were in there with another couple and were comfortable Shortly a third couple joined and we left as it was becoming crowded I took off one star for the room as there was a leak outside the bathroom from the light fixture above Whenever the people upstairs took a shower or used the water it dripped in our room from the ceiling Upon checking out we told the staff member at the front desk and she said she would let the appropriate persons know; however, this may be helpful in the future but didn’t help us any Overall I would come back again, I love the resort, the location and all the great eateries within walking distance !!

Princess Royale Oceanfront Resort has so much to offer, especially if you have little kids The indoor pool, private beach access, and large atrium for them to run around was perfect for my 18 month and five year old! Parking is very convenient with their own garage We stayed in a poolside suite that had 2 beds in a separate room, and a living room with a pull out couch and full kitchen

Plenty of room for my daughters pack n play and us all to be comfortable! We will definitely stay here again, everything was so clean and there was always something to keep my kids busy!

Our stay was GREAT!!! The staff was very attentive and helpful We rented a condo, it had 2 bedrooms one with a king size bed the other had 2 queen size bed the living room also had a pull out couch 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen

With the location of the hotel you could either go out to eat but on other days maybe you just want to stay in and cook There’s a ACME grocery store within walking distance Having that option can save a lot of money The only downside was their elevator situation During peak times you may have to wait a good 10/15 minutes for a elevator But all in all I loved my stay

My new bride made reservations for this trip, as such, the room was not under my last name There was no social hour, breakfast, snack, or beverage offered purportedly due to covid It appeared that the dining space was significantly reduced due to the fact that the back deck for outdoor dining was condemned

There were multiple signs of neglect in the interior and exterior of the building This building has potential, but will take some work It would not have a bad experience for a $55 stay, but extremely disappointing for the price paid

KH Yoga Education

They are not ADA compliant I was turned away at the door due to my disability after a confirmed reservation in my husband’s name If you’re a person traveling with a disability, stay away from this place

They won’t treat you like a person I can’t speak to the inside of the room, I never made it But I highly recommend finding an alternative place to stay, anywhere else I normally only write about positive experiences, but I would never want someone else to be stranded They don’t want disabled money They will turn you away with an empty parking lot and little other revenue coming in

ilene levin

This is the worst place to stay They have no amenities They claim to have a sheep farm but that is a total lie

The place is completely run down and has not been taken care of They do not have a kitchen The patio doors do not lock and the patios are filthy with leaves, cobwebs, bugs, etc They also claim to provide a breakfast When we checked in, they gave us a small lunch bag with two store bought muffins, individual oatmeal packets and pretzels that they clearly bought from the grocery store They have a no refund policy for a reason because when you check-in, you want to leave right away

The price of the room is what got us to stay here, room was OK However they charged an additional $100 deposit that they mentioned NO WHERE on the website and the desk clerk claimed it would go away once they checked our room upon check out It’s been 3 days and the charge is STILL on my friends account

If we had an extra 100 bucks to throw around we wouldn’t have looked for a cheaper hotel Not everyone can just wait days and days to get that money back these days Especially when our room was left in perfect condition Doubtful we will stay again Even the VERY nice hotels in the harbor don’t charge 100 deposit 🙄

I plan on staying here again when next in the area This hotel stay was great for a number of reasons The desk attendants were polite, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was exactly what I needed to get me going on the morning with good protein options

While the hotel is somewhat worn, it is well maintained and clean My only complaint with the facility is that all entry doors are not useable from the outside except for the lobby entrance This hotel has a lot going for it and only minor “issues” that would not bump this from the top of my list of places to stay in the area

We really enjoy staying here each year Great views Rooms are perfect

They didn’t seem to have adjoining room but we were able to get a side by side which was good for us Bathrooms are really great with jetted soaker tub Good size balcony Great pool and workout room Food at the restaurant is good Parking can get tight but we always found a spot Not sure that would be true in the height of the season It’s not on the boardwalk but it’s about a 5 minute drive there Walkable otherwise to other restaurants 2 blocks from the convention center

We have been coming here for 6 years on March 12 for our Anniversary We loved it The atmosphere was relaxingThis weekend we were to stay the weekend as usual

We were shocked at the first steps into the HotelEverything is different It was not the same Even the beautiful ponds with the fish and waterfalls was gone That was only the beginning I am a handicap person I requested a handicap room when I first made my reservation When we got to the room, the toilet was so low my husband had to help me up and down Also toilet seat only had 1 Bolt It wasThe room is not inviting It is not cozy Very cold We slept in our jogging suits to keep warm Even with the thermostat turned all the way up The next morning we checked out There were no menus in the room to order out also I am sorry but we will not be returningWe loved it here This is a room compared to MOTEL 6 The price you charge it could have at least had a bedspread We are very disappointed in Only good thing was Leslie at the bar

Carla Jamelle

Embassy suites is always my go to when traveling out of town They always provide such excellent customer service and this location was perfect! From the time we arrived, Ashley the front desk receptionist was great! She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great She truly exemplified great customer service which now a days is such a lost art! The room was super clean and beds were very comfortable

The breakfast was top notch and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay If my family should ever travel back that way again we would hands down stay again without question

Fi

This hotel has a really nice layout lobby wise and room rise! The room was very spacious We loved the balcony and the natural light that came through The cons were the smaller shower, with water going up to a warm temperature, not as hot, and the random bugs, probably from the balcony and wooded area

In our room we saw a ladybug, a fruit fly, and a beetle Lastly the dial on our refrigerator didn’t work If you’re not squeamish or too particular, it could be the perfect stay for you
