Great service! Friendly & helpful staff Clean & comfortable accommodations Room was a good size & beds were very comfy

I liked the big window Convenient location regarding travel, as well as local attractions & destinations Good buffet breakfast that costs $10 per person Had some plumbing issues with the toilet, but the matter was resolved quickly & easily

Jesse Frye

No microwave No mini fridge No hair dryer

Bath sink didn’t drain Hot tub was closed and roped off for the whole stay Had a room right next to a whole baseball team so nights were long and loud with slamming doors Had a 2 night stay as a gift from family members as a getaway, but would have rather stayed home You’re paying for location and downtown status The room was clean and the bed was comfortable Also charged $420 for the room on my card because of confusion at check in with the free certificate, and have still to be refunded I’ve stayed in MANY other hotels with more accommodations for way cheaper

Melody Spence

Disclaimer that it seemed to be bad week for them, but…We only stayed one night When we arrived we were told the online system had crashed and to check in an hour later Upon checking in, they couldn’t find our reservation even though we were able to show our email confirmation and ended up having to pay extra

The door to our room was stuck so hard you had to throw your shoulder against it to open it, and when closed would leave a one inch crack open at the top letting in sound, even though it was securely closed Our bed was comfy but had stains on our sheets and pillows In the morning we learned the shower had no hot water The coffee was lukewarmWe visited the bar on site and the male bartender was super friendly and gave us drinks even when he was in the middle of closing up The grilled cheese and fries were good as well as the drinks and the price point was spot on The AC was broken though so everyone was sweatingAfter going out for dinner we came back to no available parking spaces due to there being a wedding at the hotelOverall, it was a decent enough place to lay our heads for one night but we will not return

I made a reservation for my daughters graduation from 4-28 to 4-30 and my reservations states that I had until 4-26-22 to cancel but, the hotel decided to charge my for the whole hotel stay because they said it graduation weekend and they want the money before you even arrive to the hotel Rachel the hotel manager was very rude, and said if she gave me a refund she will have to cancel the reservation Wait, my reservation said I will not be charged until I check in!

Hotels want to take advantage of people because of graduation, if it wasn’t for these events they will not survive in this little town

Cleanliness is definitely lacking here From dog hair on the sheets and the floor, human hair on the towels and bathtub, walls and mirrors not wiped down, stains on sheets

There was also a spider on my bed There was no availability elsewhere and after working and travelling all day, I didn’t request a different room (which I doubt would be better or available anyways as they were booked online) The carpets need cleaned and this bed needed replaced as you can see it has sunken in on the left side (viewing) The rooms and ceilings are not sound proofed at all, you can hear everything The front desk staff were great at check-in though Edit, I didn’t stay here more than a few hours, I tried But the dog hair caused an allergic reaction for me, so I left and ended up sleeping in my car at a rest area The front desk (different than check-in) stated, “well we are pet friendly” Pet friendly does not mean, we have an excuse not to clean the rooms, to include the sheets that had dog hair too In fact, not only does this tell me you hardly vacuum your floors, but you don’t shampoo the carpets which should be done after every pet stay The fact that I didn’t get refunded, is infuriating and I am going to contact IHG about it

Linda Hostetter

Convenient location, good staff Sheets and towels clean BUT, if you charge a $50 pet fee you should clean the floors thoroughly

Our room looked spotless at first glance but the minute I had opened the door the smell almost knocked me over! Pretty certain it was because the carpet had not been cleaned after the last pet had peed all over it I realize stains can be left behind but the smell shouldn’t be The people cleaning have continuously pushed the dirt from the bathroom floor into the corners Piled about 1/2 inch thick in the corner So disappointed this trip in the IHG hotels we have stayed in That is why we usually search for a major competitor thst charges less for dogs and for the most part does a better job of cleaning

We were passing through and needed to find a comfortable, not expensive place to stay the night There were many hotels choices in this area but this Holyday Inn stood out thanks to other people’s reviews That’s why I consider important to write about my own experiences because I rely on them as well

For starters, they offer a variety of discounts (AAA, etc) as well as complementary water and beer when checking in They also have a Bistro restaurant with a bar/lounge area More than enough parking spaces Very clean and nice rooms Breakfast buffet $1 per person (although we didn’t stay for it) The staff was very attentive and polite, especially the front desk guy that checked us in He made us feel welcomed Sorry, I didn’t get his name but this for the hotel management: we stayed in room 610 on the evening of July 31st, 2022 It was a pleasant experience and I hope with the pictures I’m posting, it will let other fellow travelers know this hotel is a great choice

J Mack

Great stay I was in town for a couple days and booked online I’m really picky about cleanliness

I was very happy with what I found The room was spotless Great supply of soap, towels and coffee 2 elevators so I never had to wait for one The pool was clean The staff were very friendly My only concern was locating it It sits behind a couple less than desirable hotels Don’t pass it up It’s worth seeking out

Bubble Tea

I had a pleasant stay here The hotel was fully renovated and clean They provided free water, laundry powder, and beer

Yes, free beer as of Mar 3, 2022 And the lady at the front desk was very friendly The only thing I don’t like is that they charged $1 for breakfast excluding drinks Compared to other free breakfast this one isn’t that special The hotel should just have shared the cost with the restaurant and make breakfast included in the rent

This is a nice, big hotel in the downtown area of Tallahassee The rooms are nice with a mini fridge, coffee maker, iron, safe, TV and individual AC Great water pressure in the shower

Liquid soap, shampoo and body wash from dispensers in the shower Comfortable beds and thick towels The staff is super friendly and the hotel is pet friendly Parking is close for a $15/night fee There is a bar in the lobby with a big snack bar The place can be a bit noisy since there are dogs staying here(We heard a few barks only) if you are sensitive to this

Jason Weaver

What a great place Staff is super super friendly Really cool vibe-lively bar, pool table, nice pool area

Dog friendly-there’s even a rescue dog to play with in the lobby Everything is METICULOUSLY clean Good menu and they serve food late Good sized rooms Just a cozy fun modern place, staffed by really good people; really enjoyed our stay here

Kathy Graham

I only went there for a birthday party so I did not see the pool or the rooms or the restaurant The desk clerk was very helpful in finding the party He knew the name of the person throwing the party and he walked me back to the room where the party was

The young lady who set up the food and the drinks did excellent job the music was very nice not too loud so we could have conversations I wish I knew the lady’s name that did the setup I’d leave it right here for you but her name was Georgia Kellogg and that’s all I know for sure she was very friendly and very knowledgeable knowledgeable about her job

Great property! Clean and upbeat – friendly staff and great team at Tru by Hilton I can recommend this property as a great place to stay in Tallahassee! Rooms are modern, clean and spacious I loved the movable work space and comfortable chair in my room! The breakfast is excellent and well-stocked and monitored by team members

I also appreciated the 24 hour fresh coffee and tea in the lobby! Overall a great time!

Karen Matheny

I really want to love this place It’s bright and clean and inviting The staff is great, very accommodating and friendly

The breakfast was decent The rooms have no soft surfaces so you can hear everything, every footstep above you, so I didn’t get much sleep There’s no coffee machine in the rooms and no closet or cabinet While there’s coffee downstairs, I don’t want to have to get dressed to have a cup of coffee (Minor thing but, the soap dispensers are not a one handed job, you have to squeeze with one hand and catch with the other and they’re labeled oddly, so my son and I didn’t think it was soap at first) Bonus points, though, for having a footstep in the shower for the ladies to be able to shave

Christian Hommes

We loved it here! The atmosphere was great and the room was awesome! It was nice and cold in our room and the beds were comfy We wish we had gotten there earlier so we could play pool and Foosball some more, but we did enjoy the gym It was equipped with more than any other hotel gym I’ve seen in a while

The breakfast was ok, normal free breakfast food so I didn’t expect much We would definitely stay here again!

We were very happy with this location Family of 5 stayed in 2 Bedroom suite Terry at the front desk was very friendly and the bartender was super nice

The dock out back was pretty and the basketball court and pool were perfect for wearing the kids out from a long drive There also happened to be a nacho bar the night we stayed Friendly and helpful staff all around Great job!

BHD USA

We were traveling back to our home in TN and stayed 1 night We were very pleased with the room that we were given It was clean and spacious

The bathroom with its new shower was spotless The bed was comfortable The kitchen area had new appliances, granite counter tops, new cabinetry and flooring We were especially impressed with the cleanliness overall The only gig was that even though the front desk staff were courteous and professional they lacked a bit of the welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable vibe that you would expect The breakfast support staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure our breakfast was perfect We’re giving this a 5 because we were very impressed overall, and would definitely come again in the future Highly recommend

Sarah Ashleigh

Breakfast was amazing! We had a two bedroom suite The kitchen was awesome The room came with 2 packs of popcorn as well as coffee

All parking spaces were narrow The employees were friendly and helpful Breakfast included a variety of breads, jellies, Nutella, peanut butter… they also had scrambled eggs, sausage patties, grits, corned beef hash, a oatmeal bar with lots of toppings, fresh fruit, and waffles The sausage was the best!!!

After the four-hour trip turned into five hours of treacherous driving in the rain, we were so happy to arrive at our temporary home The front desk clerk was pleasant and helpful The room was exactly what we have expected, clean and tidy

We also got extra pillows and extra towels The location was convenient Dozens of popular eateries were within walking distance A warning breakfast buffet helped us start a busy day That’s why Holiday Inn Express is the first brand I look for wherever I travel to

Katsy Joiner

Updated entry and breakfast area feels fresh but needs a deep cleaning! Bed was comfy – room spacious it was a good spot to rest while traveling I will say walls were thin – we had to switch air to “ Fan on” to muffle the neighbors noise at midnight I was sad to find ONLY a decaf coffee pods for in room service! 😔 Breakfast was adequate as we hit the road quickly to be on our way quick! I might try another spot next time we pass through – wasn’t a fantastic stay- wasn’t awful either!

Well, for start, my husband and I decided to stay at this hotel after more than 14 hours driving from Texas(April 19-20,2022 ) Room #121I have no complaints about the hotel room The hotel appears to be new and modern

The rooms are clean and very well decorated All very well in relation to the room and the hotel Until the next day, very early in the morning, the person (lady) of the breakfast area apparently wasn’t her morning, she had personal problems or simply didn’t want to work and since we stayed in that room(121) unfortunately we paid the consequences She didn’t let us to sleep! Since she arrived throwing the trays, the boxes and throwing the kitchen utensils until we woke up from the scare we gave ourselves and we couldn’t sleep anymore Well, we decided to get up and go and we decided to stop by for coffee and breakfast and that lady had a face of very few friends She gave us a look, that she didn’t even say good morning to us We didn’t even finish breakfast because the atmosphere was heavy simply because of the attitude of this employee Anyone can have any bad day, but the way people handle it is another We could give this hotel another chance My husband and I have a business and we work a lot for this city In addition, my husband is a Gold Member of the rewards and we try to find Holiday Inn hotels for our stays

I stayed at this Holiday Inn for 3 nights The staff was very kind and helpful when necessary The room I stayed in was fairly clean

Bathroom felt sanitized, but I think the carpet in the room could have been cleaner The beds were comfortable and I had no complaints with my quality of sleep The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor, so that was a bit upsetting Also, I requested a late checkout and the latest they could do was 12:00 pm (only 1 hour after normal checkout time) Keep that in mind when planning your travels Other than the shower pressure and (lack of a) late checkout, I have no other serious complaints I wouldn’t mind staying here again if I was in the area

Cynthia Johnson

Room 419 room smelled really bad Hair in the refrigerator and juice spills on the racks Room shade pull mounts were off the walls

Gray paint in room was sloppily done Poor workmanship Furniture was scratched and pieces missing Chairs in dining area were dirty and floors look like they haven’t been swept in days Gave 1 star because they offered free breakfast when changing rooms and front desk staff was friendly 2nd room was better but would not stay here again due to lack of cleanliness This hotel is not up to IHG standards

Toby O

No clean towels during stay, trash was not emptied at all over 3 day stay, pool towels were always empty even after asking about them Hard to find worker at front desk to ask about anything Hotel is nice, pool is wonderful, restaurant is overpriced food is ok

Just need better service and room cleaning Used damp towel to wipe water off bathroom floor in room, towel was pure black from floor grime Obviously has not seen a mop in a while, one lamp had short and flashed off n on and the USB charger ports did not work Co workers room had peanuts under table, again not cleaned during stay nor was trash emptied

Me and my family stayed at this location We enjoyed our stay The staff was very friendly

The young lady Chenille checked us in was very helpful and so was the maintenance when we need assistance The hotel rooms were clean and the beds were all comfortable They sold items near the front desk which we all appreciated We will be staying here again it was close to all the places we wanted to visit including restaurants Thank you to the whole staff

Ian is the BEST employee of this company EVER! I saw this guy working over 24 hours straight from a shift of 7am on Friday – Feb 18 until Saturday – Feb 19, 10am Marriott PLEASE have a mercy of your employees!!!! Recognize your employees! This dude always with a big smile, very attentive to details, running from the front desk to the coffee bar, multitasking on doing making coffee for the guests and check ins / check outs due the shortage of employees I spoke with the manager about it and she said that this property will have a renovation in May 2022

Hopefully a big renovation can be made The property is very old, especially the rooms, no isolation, you can hear people talking to the room near to yours, breakfast is really poor, they offer only muffins and coffee, no options of fruits or omelette and also breakfast is not included You pay over 3 dollars for just a black coffee that many other Marriott properties offer for free No water in the rooms, def this Property deserves a HUGE revamp The only reason of my 5 Star Review is because of the employees, specifically IANCintia Silva

Dirty Each floor has a “community microwave” located where the ice machines are We stayed for 7 nights and the same spill and food someone left that was there on day 1 was still there on day 7

The floors also look like they haven’t been mopped in months After the first two nights of not getting housekeeping service in our room, we asked at the front desk They mentioned that their policy is if you want housekeeping service, you have to notify them at least 24 hours prior to We asked for housekeeping for the following day but no one came the next day either and I eventually had to go down to get clean towels and had to take my own trash out Also, they only have one elevator that is on the oposite side of the complex So unless you don’t mind walking a lot, I would ask for a room somewhat close to the elevator if that matters to you The walls are paper thin and you can hear the guests’ conversations on either side of you Literally every single word of their conversation, so be cognizant on that I’m not sure where they got the pictures to display online… It’s definitely not this property

Very very disappointing I asked then to clean the shower and let them know how disappointed I was in the rooms cleanliness I came back from work the same day and still the same

I even called to remind them to please make sure it gets cleaned Then the guy at the counter when I mentioned it to him said “well you’ll just have to wait till tomorrow” After I checked out and got one hour down the road I called the hotel and asked them if they would put my brand-new $300 shoes up for me until I came back the following week They told me they did not find any shoes in the room And I know exactly where I left them This place will steal from you when you are not looking A bunch of thievesI will never stay at this place again Matter fact I may cancel my Hilton honors account because of this Nobody wants to shower in a nasty shower and I expected better customer service Will def not be coming back to this hotel

We were guest at the Hampton Inn from Thursday, June 16 through June 19 We arrived just after 10 PM on the 16th so we really couldn’t see the facilities When we woke up that morning headed down to the continental breakfast and realize that the hotel was under some type of renovation

While I check in we were not informed that the pool was out of order or told that they were running low on towels and hygiene essentials etc because of previous experiences in different hotels we always bring our own stuff and this time we were glad we had it The breakfast was cold almost looked like it was reheated and there was barely an option for guest with different food allergies The beds are extremely uncomfortable and feel very old like they have never been replaced In our room we had a king size bed and in the middle of the The mattress was a huge bump that easily told us that this bed had not been replaced for many years The pull out couch was just as bad or even worse of a condition When we decided to open it for out child we noticed that the head rest and back has never been clean or dusted The mattress inside the pull out couch was old and would not be appropriate for anyone over the age of five to sleep on because you could feel the springs and the material was just old We asked about getting a pillow for our child and they told us we already had 4 pillows that would be sufficient Let’s not talk about the co dictions of the pillows They were absolutely horrible and the size was probably for toddlers The next day We inquired about the conference room in order to have a team bonding dinner and once again we were told it was under renovation and cannot be utilized The second day I went back and I asked about laundry services and at this time all I was being instructed to do was to cross over to their sister hotel home woods suites Needless to say We are extremely dissatisfied We should have been informed of the conditions of the hotel especially having no pool access when the temperatures were extremely high and when you travel with children that’s the one thing they look forward too When I addressed the manager Cassandra of course she blamed it on the IT department for not updating the website Still she didn’t want to talk about my concerns and said the best she Could do was to talk to the sister hotel next door and for us to be allowed to use their Amenities I can truly say that this will be the last time that we will stay at this hotel for any future travels in that area which we will be doing a lot during the next year

Immaculate, clean, pristine, modern and so very artistic/unique I am so impressed with this place So beautiful! I got a room with a walk in shower with wall mounted shampoo, condition, & body wash

Being in over a dozen hotels this month with dime size bottles of soaps and shampoos, this was so appreciated The beds were made perfectly and the bathroom was spotless and had an abundance of nicely rolled towels The front desk clerk was helpful and knowledgeable and breakfast was satisfactory

Cass Ervin

As HS trucker couple we stay in hotels all the time! Usually, it’s a hit or miss

but this was a HIT!!This was such a beautiful, fun & quirky, gorgeous hotel Nothing about this hotel is typical!! It’s awesomely unique! The pictures simply capture but you don’t get the full effectEverything was clean & crisp I love the small “goose eggs” placed throughout the hotel! From the quotes to the stools in the room! The bed was so snug & comfy and the sheets were soft, clean & crisp! The ac worked pretty goodI love it cold when I go to bed! I definitely love the dual shades vs the traditional curtains I was just sad I didn’t get to stay late enough for the sun to come up & test if they were blackout shades The shower was so clean! We liked the toiletry set-up & the fact that they provide plenty of bathroom linen! This is a DEFINITE return stay! Hopefully on pleasure vs business next time Oh yeah great price too!!The only thing I’ll say the toilet paper was in an awkward place & definitely need more parking but by no means takes away from the awesomeness of this hotel!!!

Luis Resendez

This hotel is an absolute gem and so fun to stay in! From the cool decorations throughout to the super comfortable beds to the easy check in and check out to the free hot breakfast, it is truly a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone passing through the area It has a modern style and is extremely clean with cold A/C Very quiet and slept great

Will be back if I’m ever passing through again!

This place is the second best hotel I have ever stayed in The parking is plentiful, the hotel is clean, the humidity is low, beds are comfortable, the bathroom is really nice and the shower is great The breakfast is the best I’ve had

So many choices there is no way someone can’t find something they like The reason why it’s the second best is because the top choice had fruit infused water in the lobby and this hotel only has plain, chilled water (still good though) 10/10 would definitely recommend

Great place!!Very conscious of health & safetyI had no hot water on my last 24 hours and had to plunge my own toilet when a child overloaded it with paper And that is why I rated lower than I usually would

And side note: Fairfield/ Marriott, PLEASE change your powdered eggs and gross sausage patties for breakfast!! Try it & you’ll agree

The hotel needs some attention to detail; it was not up to a DoubleTree standard and not a good value for the room rate The hotel had a number of flaws that could be easily fixed with touch-up paint or cleaning The parking deck was difficult to navigate

On the positive side, there were plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance, and the hotel staff was very gracious I am likely to stay at another hotel in the future

I loved this hotel! The design in black and white with a mix of modern and vintage style mixed beautifully It immediately reminds you of Alice in Wonderland The customer service was THE BEST! From when we arrived the front desk employee was incredibly sweet and friendly

The room we took unfortunately had an AC that wouldn’t go past 76° so we called the front desk and they sent a gentleman up in less than 5 mins They changed our room quickly and the gentleman was so polite and professional The rooftop bar also had great service I highly recommend this hotel

Absolutely horrible experience We rented, in advance, a room with 2 beds The room we got had one bed, along with a ‘sorry that’s all we have’

The air conditioner in the room sounded like a washing machine, all night The pillows were flat like pancakesThe room adjoining room was filled with teenagers, who repeatedly tried to come through the connecting door, and figured they might as well partyThere is absolutely nothing around this hotel within walking distance Obviously that isn’t the fault of the hotel, but you should be prepared to drive if you want anything at all Even the sole vending machine in the hotel is ancient, only taking quarters So come prepared, or get nothing

The location is superb The place still looks good Just a great sleep, comfortable beds

I did notice some smokers residual evidence The tub had cigarette burns, and I notified management of this They assured me they take pleasure in holding smokers responsible If you smoke go outside, or find you a hotel you can smoke, no excuses Good job Sleep Inn and Suites Tallahassee crew

I stayed here for 2 nights recently and overall, for the price, I was happy with my visitThe staff was all very friendly and helpful The room was nice, clean, and odor free

The hallways do have an odd odor to them as others have posted They use air fresheners to cover it up, but it’s there My room didn’t have hot water the one day The breakfast included is cereal or a microwave breakfast burrito, as long as you’re good with that, you’ve got food

Great staff and location Nice decorRooms need better lighting in bathroom, it’s too dim Would be nice to have a microwave on the room to reheat coffee, that’s just a personal preference

The sitting area could use a mirror as well Last time ate at the restaurant food was great Last night, not so much and server needs to be on it better Had to go up to her while she was chatting with hostess The place was pretty empty Also found the A/C lacking I love the location but they need to up their game for the prices the charge

Valerie Tucciarone

Had a great stay! All the staff from the restaurant/bar to the front desk and housekeeping were fantasticWould’ve liked to see some more options on-site for dining but there were plenty of places nearby to eat so it was all goodThe rooms were great! Lighting was a little strange as the nightstand lighting couldn’t be turned on without the overhead lights

The hallways looked like they could use a little love but that’s really nitpicking as I had an amazing stayWould DEF stay again!

My husband and I reserved a hotel room for Valentine’s Day We were excited to have some time to ourselves There was an option on the website that included breakfast and parking in addition to the room

It cost more money but we wanted to make it easy so we paid the additional fee The price came to 28238 with tax The hotel lobby was nice and we did eat in the restaurant downstairs which was excellent It was refreshing to see a hotel use local businesses to serve food and coffee Our room however was messy and there was a huge crack with a hole in the ceiling above our shower The bed was comfortable and my husband and I both slept well The next morning my husband went downstairs to get our breakfast and was told that we did not pay for breakfast and there was no such deal they provided He came back to the room frustrated so I called and spoke with a manager who said no we did not pay for breakfast or parking I told her I had the email proving we did pay for the additional services After clacking away at her keys she then stated that yes we had paid for breakfast and parking My husband went back downstairs and ordered our breakfast which was even better than our dinner the night before The food at least was delicious When we went to check out I asked the hotel clerk specifically if my card had been charged anything additional He assured me it had not, checked us out and emailed a copy of my receipt Imagine my surprise when I looked at the receipt and the total was 33038 ( they had charged us again for breakfast and parking) even after they said no additional charges I went back inside and showed them my email that proved parking and breakfast were included and had been paid for They refunded the 4800 and sent me a new receipt that totaled 28238 Tonight I was checking my credit card statement and guess what, I had 2 charges from hotel indigo One for 4800 and one for 33038 They did refund the 4800 charge but the room charge was still 33038 and should have been 28238 Basically they charged us for breakfast and parking 3 times I have disputed this charge with my credit card company and wanted to write a review that we would never be staying at this hotel again They were dishonest from the start, I say this because when we checked in I told the clerk that we had a package deal including parking and breakfast, he just kind of nodded but never gave us the vouchers to get the additional services If we had not checked our bill and credit card statement we would have been charged multiple times for something we already paid for I feel like this is a scam, charge your guest and if you get caught say sorry but if you don’t get caught then you’ve made extra money If you stay at this hotel eye your bill closely for additional charges including your statement several days later I bet they are making a killing by double and triple charging their guests
