I want to focus on the cleanliness of the room after our third night of staying here I sought out the person who cleaned our room, Daphne, to praise her She was most appreciative of my thanking her

Having had some recent unsettling experiences with Marriott and the cleanliness of rooms (Courtyards), I was totally wowed by Daphne’s dedication to her job which reflects the Marriott name as I have known it in the past Over the years we have stayed over 1000 nights at Marriott hotels (mostly full service)Thank you and I hope the General Manager at the Quincy Marriott appreciates your dedication!

Daniël

I use this hotel somewhat frequently for work (the pandemic changed that a bit) It has nice accommodations, especially since the renovations of a couple of years ago The rooms are nice and spacious and modern

They have always been cleanI’ve had mixed experiences with customer service – on past visits, I had some incidents happen that really weren’t handled well, but more recently and on average, service has been pretty decentAll in all not a bad option to stay The hotel isn’t super close to anything, so be prepared to drive (or take the nearby T into Boston)

The worst Marriott experience that I’ve ever had I am a Marriott Ambassador Level Guest and I haven’t ever had a more rude experience than the encounter I had at this hotel I called to check with the front desk to see if my room was ready for an early check

Instead of being greeted with warmth and kindness the lady at the front desk berated me, and accused me of falsely using a Marriott discount code( my stay was made with my hard earned points!)and of not being an Ambassador She said I had stayed there before and that I didn’t deserve to be an Ambassador, that I didn’t deserve any special treatment! I had and have never set foot on this property, nor will I after this abysmal treatment No one deserves this kind of treatment! Certainly not someone as loyal to the Marriott brand as I am There is no excuse for such rudeness This employee is the face of the hotel and the Marriott brand I have never felt more uncomfortable or unwelcome than I have after this incident Inexcusable!

The room was clean, the shower was HOT, the bed was comfy, and the Breakfast was YUMMY!The cheese omelet, the potatoes, and especially the maple turkey sausage was cooked perfectly, forcing us to go for secondsMike (night clerk) was super friendly and accommodating to my room requestsMarco (in charge of coffee and welcome cookies) constantly brewed fresh coffee, put cold cream, and baked yummy chocolate cookies

Dana (Director of Sales) was very attentive to all guests He gladly printed bunch of emails for guests, and swiftly took care of refunds when I accidentally double bookedThis was one of my favorite stays in Boston I will definitely come back to this property

Paul Hastings

Hands down, the best hotel experience we’ve ever had Complimentary breakfast was awesome, and they even had a complimentary shuttle that will take you anywhere within a four-mile radius of the hotel, including the subway stationIncredibly convenient!Room had a fridge a microwave too

Also, we got a free copy of the newspaper every morning (USA Today)Finally, the reception desk was super helpful We needed a box for our flight back (to check as luggage at the airport to take home some extra stuff we picked up), and they found an empty box from their kitchen and gave us some tape!Definitely will stay here again in the future

Jennifer Curcio

My family stayed here for five nights and really enjoyed it Our room was very clean and when we requested housekeeping on our third day they did a great job The breakfast was amazing with a big selection such as eggs, meat, waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, breads, and they put out a different selection every day

There is a complimentary coffee station and they put out warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening We selected this hotel in Braintree for its indoor pool but unfortunately there was an issue with it for the first two days of our stay They did get it fixed and we enjoyed it The hotel is in an industrial area and doesn’t have pretty views, but if you are looking for a clean hotel with a pool and breakfast, this is a good choice I didn’t give it five stars because of the pool issue

We enjoyed a most excellent stay in every way! The accommodations are modernistic yet quite comfy and cozy The pool is extraordinary! Here it was, the middle of winter, and I felt like I was vacationing on a dreamy tropical island The water was so warm and inviting and there was no lack of fresh, thick, thirsty towels available poolside

Perhaps best of all was the kind, courteous, and caring hotel staff Each member was uncommonly gracious The lobby Starbucks was also a true winner! Just an awesome hotel experience in every way and aspect!

Tsuharesu P

The view from my room was good, the bed was really comfortable, and the desk with Herman Miller chairs was really good The pool was good if you want to relax as well, good size when there are not many people aroundAs a normal hotel room it’s fine, but I don’t think it was worth the very high price

The lever to open the shower fell the first time I opened it and the toilet had running water until I opened the water tank and fixed the seal myself The blind was really hard to open so it stayed close most of the time

Diana Sánchez

The location of this hotel, halls and pools are great It has also a nice gym The service was also very gentle and the room was large with a good view to the river

However, several points are not expected from a hotel that charge more than 400 dollars per night: the premises are already showing signs of aging, I stayed for an entire week and not even once my room was cleaned (hotel policy), the shower has no preassure and takes ages for the hot water to come out, there is no breakfast area only a Starbucks where you can buy coffee and some snacks, the room lacks basics for a such a extensive hotel as a water cooker or a decent coffee makerIt seems cost reduction has been the policy now for that hotelIt is in general a good hotel but definitely overpriced

I would give this 0 stars but that’s not possible so I give it 1 I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights! Outdated outlets I saw ants on the bathroom floor!!!! My window did not open

It was humid, and dusty My nostrils were stuffed 5 minutes after I was in the room Terrible sounding in the bathroom with the fan! Ac is BEYOND DUSTY so I couldn’t use that I was so glad to get out of the room and go for a walk I felt claustrophobic in that room just because the air was so dense Never again

Danny C. (Reviewer Super Star)

Horrible stay The new front desk guy was nice I guess The first room they put us in smelled of mold and mildew so bad it was giving us a headache

We went to turn down the ac and the rugged floor was drenched We called to switch rooms which they let us do The sheets and bed in the new room felt weird like they weren’t dried enough in the dryer or something It just didn’t feel right

This is not a resort, it’s not a luxury hotel It’s not meant to be This month was my 4th stay at this property

I have family in the area and I intend to come back here every time I visit The place is clean and I mean spotless Beds are comfortable There are plenty of outlets for charging your devices The building is close to the road but noise was not a problem Sadly, the wonderful breakfast buffet (eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon, pastries, etc) was not available due to COVID but fresh coffee is available 24 hours and packaged items were on offer in the morning (pastry, juice, yogurt, cereal, fruit) and hot breakfast sandwiches were offered on the weekend The staff is awesome, welcoming, helpful, efficient and friendly I have 2 tiny quibbles – the WiFi was iffy and the water pressure in the shower was pretty low but that could just be the town water supply and not the hotel This is my home away from home when I visit

Very expensive for a hostel, at least the night I was there Maybe the rates are a lot better on other days I guess they were taking full advantage of the ridiculously priced hotels in the area

Front desk staff were okay, but not super friendly with me I immediately began to wonder if I should be there, because I’m a mid 40s woman, and maybe they prefer younger people Then I got in the elevator and saw a large sign that said, “to help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and it’s people through hosteling” I’m still scratching my head over this moto and the way I felt just seconds prior I don’t want to be one of those people who pick something apart and misconstrue the real meaning of things, but I did feel that they “ESPECIALLY” prefer younger travelers The experience left me feeling unwelcome and a little sad I can learn a lot from younger people and they can learn a lot from me Together, and not “especially” one or the other, is what I want and need Other than that, the place was clean with nice sharable spaces I only needed a place to sleep and then left

Tamanika Ferguson

Would definitely stay again Doors are noisy and the six bed dorm rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but the staff work hard to maintain the hostel Spacious kitchen and lounge areas

The hostel is very colorful with wall art and paintings There is a little cafe adjacent to the front desk Lots of windows and natural sunlight Hostel is centrally located within walking distance to public transportation in around the city Boston is very lively Luv the city vibe

Kim Hughes

This was my very first time staying in a hostel I chose this hostel because it was rated higher than the $300-400 a nite hotels in the Boston area I was NOT disappointed

The staff is VERY helpful The facility is very clean and safe All the common areas are spacious and clean as well The travelers I met while there were friendly and quiet I had a great experience

I’m still at this location for another 2 days, however that may change I had gotten back from a concert at Gillette around 1:30AM After a shower, I probably fell asleep past 2AM

The fire alarm proceeds to go off at approximately 3:15AM After 10-15 minutes we were aloud back in, no big deal A little frustrating yes, but that’s a one off thing that happens, right? WRONGToday, 7-22-22, at 9:50AM it happened again It’s weird that it happened twice in the span of 7 hours Come to find out, we overheard the manager state that this is because of shower steam Seriously? Now I know that shower steam is one of the most common causes for a false fire alarm trip, but to over hear the manager say that’s there’s nothing she can do and (to take the customer service lingo away) basically get over it was horrible to hear I’m at this hotel to sleep, and it seems like if this is a common occurrence that there’s nothing she can do about, I may not be getting any sleep at allPick another hotel, this has never happened in any of the other places I have stayed atUpdate: I must have not noticed last night because I was so exhausted, but the shower has a literal tear in the bottom of it And where the tear is the floor is sunken in, who knows how long it will take until that floor collapsesThere is also dirty towels, my boyfriend found a poop stain on one of the towels when he unrolled it Let’s see how the supervisor handles this, do we get another “there’s nothing we can do” let’s wait and find out! They gave us a room upgrade, not what we wanted, but the shower in the room did not have a crack in it so it was already betterUpdate #2: Good morning at bright and early 6:15 AM where we have another tripped fire alarm! It’s to the point where we aren’t even leaving the room anymore 24 hours and 3 tripped fire alarmsI have stayed at multiple different Hampton Inn and Suites and this has never been a problem I’m warning everyone to just choose a different hotelThat is of course unless you want to torture yourself

Jon Serkspawn777

Stayed here a few times on businessAlways friendly staff, nice clean rooms There are different layouts, but all well appointed Comfortable beds, large easy to use TVs with DirecTV

I’m very happy my boss puts me up here everytimeFresh hot REAL breakfast available at 6 am

Jacquelyn Plouffe

This place is horrible I have never written a review before but this hotel is just that bad Came here late Thursday night around 1 am got to bed at 2 to see that my bed sheets weren’t change

There were crumbs, dead skin and other people’s hair in my bed The next morning I asked the front desk person if they could just come in to change our sheets After being away the whole entire day came back to my room and sheets were not changed I called again and they brought me sheets up to change the bed myself and when i was doing it there was a huge yellow stain in the bed There was hair all over the shower and the towels are dirty There has also been 3 fire alarms since friday at 3 am and they just are telling people there’s nothing they can do when people are asking for refunds they also are saying there is nothing they can do and that they have to wait for the manager… Also even after the fire alarm was during breakfast people wanted to come back in and grab something to eat and they refused to put more food out Just not coming back here ever

Amazing home! This is normally a bed and breakfast but was able to rent the whole house for our group for the weekendWe rented the entire home for a boys trip The host was amazing, John was available for all my questions and was truly accommodating

We were able to rent the house for an early check in as wellBedrooms are all spacious, two bedrooms I’d say are actually suites and have couches The other 4 bedrooms are definitely spacious and are comfortable for two adults and their bagsKitchen/Dining room is spacious and large to accommodate 12-15 people easilyWood burning firepit in the backyard overlooking the waterGrill available on the deckLots of restaurants and breweries also nearby Fantastic central location with a great at home feelOnly wish I had was there should be a common area with TV to socialize and lounge moreWould definitely come back here with family

Caitlin Hayes

Arrived for a friends wedding and did not get past the front door There was a booking error and the room had been double booked A women came to the door as we entered to say “we have this whole house booked for the weekend”

This was on a Saturday afternoon to check in for the next 3 nights and were the bridal party had planned to get ready for the wedding The manager was rude and didn’t offer so much as an apology for the inconvenience this had caused Luckily we were able to get the last two available rooms at the Nantasket Beach Resort down the street This is where many wedding guests were also staying , they were very helpful and accommodating and even offered a conference room to us we were able to use to have hair done before the wedding

Melissa Vella

The night before my friends wedding we were supposed to stay here and the whole bridal party was supposed to get ready the next morning Unfortunately the owner had double booked that weekend so we were unable to stay They did not help us find an alternative or seem concerned about the mix up

We ended up staying down the street at the Nantasket beach resort where they were very accommodating

I usually love holiday Inn express hotels We have stayed in a lot of hotels including IHG group hotels in the midst of covid and have had fantastic experience But this hotel is deceiving

First of all the hotel is gorgeous and rooms are great But anything other then looks is the worst ever We stayed a total of three nights for 200 plus every night There was no room service at all for the period of the stay They didn’t even let us know about it before hand When we asked for our trash to be taken and towels to be replenished , they asked us to bag and separate our trash by ourselves and also bag all the towels and keep it out of the room We weren’t happy to be doing all the work but we did it Even when they picked up the trash and towel they didn’t think it was necessary to give us new towels After 10 different phone calls we got just three bath towels No hand towels , bath mats or washcloth We had to call them a million times each day to just get the basic stuffSecondly the buffet breakfast was disgusting Have you seen a breakfast which has no bread? ? They had the waffle maker but it was out of order No bagels except cinnamon raisin Never seen such a horrible breakfast spread even in a days innNow if you are booking two queen beds, BEWARE we had booked it but they only have full beds So definitely false advertising for sureThis hotel is definitely not something I would recommend anyone

C C

GREAT hotel BUT you HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING, didn’t realize this during booking, so this is your heads up Clean, modern room, windows in the room actually open to let in fresh air is a plus! Great breakfast options including Belgium waffles Great wifi

Elizabeth front desk has great customer service Breakfast staff great, everything, clean, well maintained It would be great if there was hand sanitizer on each of the 5 floors near the elevator, there’s one in the lobby near the elevator

Ryan Walker

Overall, the experience of the hotel was okay, nothing more The checkout process was good, staff were friendly The room we stayed in was in good condition, but some mild issues came up throughout the stay

To get clean towels, you were asked to put them all in a trash bag in the hall, then put a sign out on your door to signal you needed new ones The first night, they did empty the trash and replace the towels, but no bags were provided for future towel replacements The next night, the towels were left in front of the door and trash left in the room They never bothered to come in and replace towels/ empty trash for the rest of the stay (assuming lack of staff, but never acknowledged by the hotel ) Another mild irritant was that our door would rattle whenever our neighbor entered their suite Breakfast was okay, but frequently ran out of items, such as yogurts, utensils, and even plates You had to ask for these items frequently The food area could also be wiped up more frequently If you are coming in from Logan Airport, you can take the Silver Line (for free!) to South Station, then transfer to the Red Line to the North Quincy Station The location was super convenient, about a 3 minute walk to the North Quincy T Station which made it easy to get downtown, as well as a Target close for groceries I’m hoping the majority of the staffing issues are just temporary, as overall, I had a decent experience

Hard review to write because I don’t want to sound negative I travel weekly on business so I stay in a lot of hotels I definitely stay in a lot of Hampton Inn‘s

When I’m in that area again I would definitely try a different hotel If you’re looking for just very basic and clean you will do fine There was something that just felt off and I can’t really put my finger on it The room just seemed outdated and when I arrived in the parking lot there was broken glass on the ground a broken pair of eyeglasses and a corona bottle Because of The way the review of the hotel is written, I think I just expected some thing a little bit different

Michelle Suárez-Padilla

I made a reservation online for Queen w private room and when I arrive and the room I paid for was not available Mark updated that info online so that the room was not showing available online

Mark at the front desk apologize and gave me a Queen/Studio which was excellent Very spacious, and big When I got to the room I did my usual inspection The sofa bed linen had so much mold I call the front desk and immediately a guy came in and changed everything with fresh linen which I was very thankful for When I went to shower the bathroom was clean but it smelled like sewage I know it sounds horrible but it was manageable When I went to check out due to all the inconvenience we were not charged which honestly, I was not expecting at all I will definitely be back Btw, breakfast was delicious

Keila Flores

The bathroom toilet wasn’t working I ask the cleaning lady if she can clean our room she said not today tomorrow I was very suppressed how dirty the bathroom was and the tub I think mass ave is a better hotel than this they have this place with people form the shelter or something staying there hallways smelled like weed at night!!! This hotel use to be good what happen

Just OK rooms and not helpful front desk ( mostly the night shifts ) Your expected to collect your own towels from the lobby if you want them changed even though front desk is well staffed – just two of them sitting around doing nothing Housekeeping is only upon request which is weird for a Marriott standard

Overall poor service and not coming back

Nicholas Morano

Worst front desk ever Athanasia was the rudest, most unhelpful, useless person I’ve ever encountered Her desk is on a recorded line getting the correct reservations – then entered them wrong, yet she placed the blame on everyone but her desk

Marriot Bonvoy CS has been fine over the phone, but none of the 3 families have heard back, despite being promised to, by now We all had to spend over $1000 more because of the screw ups Strongly considering canceling my Marriot Bonvoy CC, charging back stays, and pursuing legal action Absolutely atrocious CS by Marriot

First time staying at this hotel and my experience was pretty good! I definitely recommend staying here I did have a couple issues but overall the pros outweighed the consFirst-The location is in the back of a huge lot next to a best western, kind of hidden but not at the same time

It’s very clean It doesn’t look anything like you think it would coming from outside It has an older vibe to it and decor but they do a good job maintaining it The elevator was probably the fastest one I’ve ever been on Got us to our floor very quickly The staff was really nice as well and had a printout of restaurants to check out in Boston or nearby My only issue was that I booked through bookingcom and I pay for all the taxes and fees through them Once I checked out, my bill was about $40 higher than it should be I brought this to their attention and after just double checking they refunded me the $40 extra and was no issue Didn’t fight it at all Very professionalSecond-The room was pretty nice Got a double queen and plenty of space for a couple or a family The beds were really comfortable One of the best sleeps I’ve had in awhile! The tv was kind of outdated but it’s okay I don’t travel for the hotel TV One issue I had was there was a light in the bathroom directly in the middle of where you would stand in the bathroom brushing your teeth etc that was incredibly hot So hot I had to move to a corner or the side because I was starting to sweat standing under it But overall the room was nice and I’d stay there again

I really want to give more stars for being a decent clean hotel with friendly staff, but their corporate customer service/reservations representatives are deplorable and will rip off customers! Staying here out of necessity for a family funeral Called one day to book two nights They quoted me a price, which by the way was double what I paid for the same room four months ago for another funeral, and then proceeded to tell me they were fully booked one of the nights

They had the nerve to ask if my plans were flexible… hello we were coming to town for a funeral Anyway, I said I’d check other hotels I called back the very next day and surprise they had availability for both the nights but now the best price was $40 more per night! The representative said I must be confused about staying there previously, which I have on several occasions, because my email didn’t show up anywhere in their system I couldn’t even convince him by sending them the confirmation email I received from them for my stay four months ago I called customer service to complain and all I got was the same reservation clerks explaining how prices change frequently They offered a simple “sorry” and ended the call This is some of the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered!

This hotel was not good at all The front desk person was rude, slow to check us in and unresponsive throughout the duration of our stay The room was HOT! Something was wrong with the thermostat and when we reported it the next morning to the front desk, when we returned from being out it was still not fix in addition to the clogged sink we also reported

The television continued to freeze every 2 minutes for no reason so there was no entertainment from that The only saving grace is that aesthetically the hotel was nice and the beds were comfortable Other than that, this place was trash! I would suggest finding another hotel in the area that would offer more quality service

Great Hotel and Great Courteous Staff Our little Yorkie Teddy loved socializing with all of the other dogs staying here Hank the resident dog was also extremely kind and loving too ❤

Room was spotless clean and smelled Great too Special Thanks to the hotel manager Shannon and Staff for making my family feel so welcomed Good Starbucks nearby too! Look forward to coming back

We just finished a 25 week stay here The staff is superb, helpful and SUPER friendly

Breakfast is great with lots of variety Rooms are large with ample storage space Bed was comfy Our little dog Lily was super happy here and the staff was generous with treats and affection – yay Ceta! The only drawback was that over the two weeks, other customers were showing up with their dogs and not picking up their poop Not sure what Residence Inn can do about it but I had to be careful walking in the grass so as to not step in excrement

Clean, modern, and spacious Easy access from the highway Recommend if you are in the area

Only minor gripe is the slow elevators, but obviously that’s not a big deal

Nicely renovated hotel- I stayed here in 2018 and it was much darker and dreary With the renovations, it’s much brighter and modern looking and feels more inviting as you walk in The rooms have new furniture, including pretty comfortable pull-out sofas

I only had 2 minor issues- the thermostat and the gym The thermostat is the newer “occupancy-sensing” ones, and you only get to change the temperature in a 5 degree range (67-72) The unit was constantly turning on and off about every 45 seconds when set to auto, and eventually I figured out after setting it to run the fan constantly it wouldn’t keep turning on and off However I had to do this 2 or 3 times before it would stay like this; it kept shutting off completelyThe gym is nicely equipped, however the thermostat is set at 72 and it is locked in a cage There’s no fan or any airflow, and it was almost unbearably stuffy once I used the treadmill The room temperature was 74 after 15 minutes of cardio (the heat was actually on)The hot tub was closed, and looked like it had been closed for awhile The evening social was only on Wednesday and was good, but was basically just soup/saladOtherwise, breakfast was good, staff was friendly, it’s 30 seconds from the highway, the bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay

We stayed here for a family wedding for 3 nights (supposed to be 4) Rooms were clean and spacious Our room door lock didn’t work well – resulting in us having a very hard time leaving the room and having safety worries

I understand that these things happen, but the initial reaction from staff was “that’s just how it is” – and we’d have to wait a couple days for it to be fixed Not the Hilton quality service we are used to, especially as Diamond members but given the family wedding location we had no option but to stay We did leave a day earlier than planned and spent more $$ to stay at the Canopy Hilton in Boston which was amazingIf you need to be in this area, the hotel is fine but not exceptional We found the Hilton Garden Inn down the road to have a great restaurant and would likely prefer to stay there if we are ever back in the area

Stayed here last night after exploring in Boston with my kids We are from Maine and decided to stay here Pros: nice area

Can rest easy and feel safe The hotel it’s self is beautiful! Breakfast had a variety and was included in stay Very friendly customer service for check in Alot of restaurants close by Cons: the main reason I stayed here was because they had a hottub which wasn’t working Also when we got to pool a family was having a birthday party in pool room It was so full we had nowhere to even sit We came back later on and my daughter said it was freezing which I know it was because she had goosebumps and was shivering The king studio was a decent size and looked nice untill I found a big black hair in shower and none of us used it also the top of the fridge was so dusty evidently Noone has cleaned it in a while Makes u wonder how throughly rooms are cleaned Also it was nowhere in my reservation online that they would charge me a $250 deposit when I checked it I’ve never paid that much for a deposit it was more than room Luckily I had it in bank but what about people who didn’t and wasn’t told about it Overall we had a decent stay but unsure if we will be back unfortunately

Great hotel! While the area doesn’t have the most to offer, the hotel is great for a night or two Room was clean, room fixtures and furniture were in great condition The room layout, at least in my experience, was a little awkward, with the bed pointed toward the window

This meant that all of the furniture was on the side of the room, adjacent to the bed, rather than directly across Props though for the innovative solution to make the TV visible, a sliding tray attached to the dresser, and a pivoting stand for the TV While it didn’t provide a full view, it definitely helped Also, took a few minutes to find where the fridge was I’m used to them being in the dresser unit, however this room had a coffee/tea station on the opposite side of the sink in the corridor to the bathroom Also, in built room closet, it was a standalone unit which took up quite a bit of space One thing that irked me was the inability to find the in room safe While I wound up not needing it, usually I like to know where it is just in case Pillows on the bed were also lackluster, literally collapsing to flat once I laid down All together, great stay, quality room, decent sleep achieved Would stay here again, as long as the price is fair

Staff was nice and welcoming The room was clean and fully stocked The bed and pillows were comfortable, the water pressure was great, the body wash/shampoo/conditioner bottles were full, coffee was great, decor was nice, a/c worked perfectly

Only downsides are that there’s no microwaves in the room and they charge $5 each for bottles of water Nice quiet area with lots of food places nearby

Jessica Ondrof

They were having issues with their computers which led to a lengthy check in and our party having to take a more expensive room than what we booked It was really frustrating but staff was extremely apologetic and took care of the issue the next morning I know it’s not the staff’s fault so I want to give five stars because their response definitely rectified the issue and made our experience better

The room itself was clean and comfortable, no complaints about that Especially appreciative of the staff member who showed up off the clock to try to help the other associates during check in- didn’t get his name but he was in pjs and then checked me out in the morning Give that man a raise

The fact that this is a 2-star hotel baffles me The room and service were PHENOMENAL! Definitely exceeded my expectations for the affordable price point And the location is perfect! There are tons of restaurants and stores within walking distance and the area had a very diverse group of people

The hotel itself is beautiful There is a nice set up for 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate Complimentary breakfast in the morning has a good selection and all tastes great The hotel is pet-friendly which is a BIG plus for us since we had our kitten with us The rooms have a beautiful shower, an awesome automated curtain system, and the cooling system worked great! If there were any one thing I’d wish was better or different it’s the fact that our room trash bins didn’t have any trash bags But that wasn’t a huge deal I would 100% recommend this location if you are looking for a somewhere nice to stay in the Watertown area

The outside amenities are great! The front has a lovely area to eat and hang out The back has a nice balcony to eat as well The full kitchen is great to use – they have everything you could need to cook

Overall the house is lovely and has a great ambianceThe rooms, however, are quite small and uninviting We stayed on the third floor where there was barely room for the bed alone The bed looked like it had not been changed in the last 10 years with a visible dip in the center of the bed It was uncomfortable and the two pillows were also not ideal The bathroom was terribly small – you couldn’t sit without your knees hitting the wall The towels were not clean, there was hair in itOverall, the amenities and the house are amazing – bonus points for included parking! But the room was just not worth the stay

Tori Brewster

The Longwood Inn was exactly what we hoped it would be- charming, exceedingly helpful and communicative staff, and great location- less than 10 minute walk to the T and a bunch of great restaurants in Brookline I really appreciated how the automatically added towels once they saw there were three of us vs just two Our room was warm- and quiet, despite facing the street

I really appreciated how homey the kitchen and living/ main rooms felt Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Boston!

We stayed here for my daughter’s 8th grade graduation trip The place was nice and clean Our issues were with the very poor front desk staff that did not help

I was fraudulently charged for “damages” there were no damages to the room I had a police report stating such we hadn’t even checked out yet, and did not request housekeeping I was very upset and yelling when I was told I was charged $500 for damages (there were none) and even offered a video of proof the night shift front desk were rude and unhelpful I asked them to call the cops so that they could go up and look at the room with me, since the front desk refused to do so The cops could not find damage and felt bad for telling us we had to leave because the teenagers left to run the place at night said so I was in such disbelief in how this was handled I was exhausted at 11:00 at night after a day in cape cod I was met with an attitude and accusations, instead of apologies and solutions This has been the worst hotel stay experience of my entire life! I will never again stay at a Hyatt hotel! We did finally get someone who was apologetic (not any of the hotel management staff but the accounting department) and he refunded the extra money taken out I was offered nothing to rectify the situation, like the amount of the hotel room for the night we were forced to leave All and all this was a nightmare hotel! Good luck to those who choose to stay here!

Sharon Doyle

The room is spacious and roomy It feels inviting and fresh The bathroom is very accommodating and open

The layout of the room makes it feels more like a suite There is no microwave in the room though The complimentary breakfast consists of: eggs, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, sausage, apples, pears, oranges and more The breakfast room is large and accommodates many people The hotel is near the train station (less than 10 minute drive) The pool is under construction now too

Brian Kelley

My room wasn’t clean, the toilet was running all night, and the refrigerator was broken During the same stay, my colleague experienced an issue where they accused him of smoking in his room He’s never smoked and recently went through a drug test and screening for an upcoming surgery

The Hotel was a nice place in 2018-19 and seems to either have new management or just a bunch of people who don’t care I would recommend staying somewhere else If you stay here, take a defensive stance, take photos of your room, and document things during your stay You never know what they’ll accuse you of after you leave

I am extremely disappointed in my stay here I am a frequent Marriott customer and have never experienced an utter lack of cleanliness at any other Marriott I was traveling for work all day and had arrived late in the evening

Upon arriving, I had noticed there were ants in my bathroom Given how late it was (1am), how long of a day I had and how early I had to be up in the morning, I decided to address it the morning after Had it been bed bugs or roaches I would’ve addressed it immediately In the morning I had notified the gentlemen at the front desk and even showed him a video I recorded He disregarded me and told me to grab a card to email the hotel’s Room and Divisions manager It’s been two weeks and I have yet to receive a response While I should’ve addressed the issue sooner, I was completely exhausted from flights/driving from JFK to Boston and thought that it would’ve been dealt with more appropriately the morning after – clearly that was not the case Do not stay here Poor communication from staff and poor cleanliness

Austin Connelly

I am a Marriott guy and this hotel was terrible When your hotel is dog friendly, you should still accommodate for other guests as well When the small dog on the first floor would not stop barking from 3:00am-10:00am the only response I got from staff was no one’s in that room right now

They could have simply called the tenant and fixed the problem rather than ruin a stay for people traveling on business

J.Sylvia Nicole Chan

We have been coming here for the last 10 years Because my older children live here in the Dedham The staff here is exceptionally professional and friendly

However this visit, there has been a moderate of issues with the room Like dishwasher not working the vent over the stove not working Lights were dim Just seemed a little bit run down Usually there’s a hot breakfast bar children absolutely love According to staff Marriott has changed the protocol for a hot breakfast bar And you’re left with the same pre-package offerings for days (We were staying for 2 weeks) Finally after day 8 they seem to be some hard-boiled eggs in a package and a jalapeno biscuit in a package there was no more gluten-free bagels Today there almost at end o viat there was some bagel sandwich in a bag (To be fair hot mini waffles are still offered No toastbiscuit no gravy) The fruit was your typical banana and orange Some cereal and yogurt However as I stated before the staff was exceptionally friendly and apologize for the lack of fresh food daily Before the pandemic there used to be socials at the hotel Now there is nothing Meaning they used to have snacks and things every other night Grill area is okay a little bit dirty but okay You have to bring your own tools to use the grill So that is an option The indoor pool is not quite heated and there’s no area for you to lay out in the sun if you choose to There is a tennis court but they no longer have any tennis balls or basketballs for you to play with so you would have to bring your own I would say I would probably return because of the closeness legacy place and there is a 50s diner where you can get a fairly decent breakfast however we are spending upwards at $350 a night during high season so having to pay for breakfast on top of that is unreasonable So if you don’t do beef or pork then I highly suggest that you buy your groceries beforehand and if you’re gluten-free and don’t do chocolate bring your own If you’re staying longer than a few days I also highly suggest you bring air freshen up here because there’s a lot of cooking going on and ventilation is not good Also make sure you bring a small hand broom because there are no cleaning supplies in the room for you to use in case of accidental spills
