Clean and quiet room Visited for the NCAA Sweet 16 to bet and watch in the lounge The week before they had a great NCAA Tourney lodging special that sold out, but the assistant manager Phillip was kind enough to honor it for our stay

Had a great time during the day walking the surrounding neighborhoods, eating and hitting some old school bars There’s also a great fitness room in this hotel with everything you need and a nice view of the river

Donna Romanyk

There was no bellhop to push the luggage cart and I had a very hard time maneuvering it myself, there was only one working elevator, the sink our room wouldn’t drain, and there were 4 police officers dealing with some problem that happened The room was very clean with a nice view of the river But honestly I expected a bit better service

Nicolas Henry

Stayed for about a week and a half Room was clean and tidy upon check in and the bathroom heater was a nice touch which brings this score up to a 2 Bed is mediocre on comfort

Had to switch to my own pillow after night one No microwave or coffee as already stated which should be standard in any hotel these days The shower glass is not long enough so the water will get out Housekeeping is upon request and is subpar If you request anything expect it to not arrive or take a long time The a/c is obnoxiously loud as well If it’s more than a one night stay to enjoy the casino would suggest you look elsewhere

The place is clean! Comfortable! It is a wonderful hotel, I just wish they would put effort into it Things are falling apart, the showerheads are awful Great pressure, but just old needing a soak (the showerhead)

Cheap toiletries Stale breakfastIt’s like the place has everything you want, but at a C grade ratingYou get what you pay for, it’s not bad, just could be so much more

Brianna Byam

Spent almost $225 for 1 night (opposed to the advertised $95) and was so disappointed When you walk into the lobby it’s outdated and the carpet smells Unfortunately, our room smelled worse- with carpet stains all over

Woke up and my mother with autoimmune issues is horribly sick We had to leave right away Not sure if there is mold, but if there is- wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in the carpets Neither of us felt comfortable barefoot and even wore our sandals in the shower which was also stained We couldn’t wait to leave and just felt dirty If we could have found another place, we would have left immediately requested a refund- but there was no availability elsewhere and we drove 3+ hours Unfortunate

The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway Its so close to lots of shopping and restaurants- some you can even walk to! Check in and out was super easy

Plenty of parking on site The rooms are a bit tight but clean When we got in we saw the sheets were not clean We told the front desk and they had someone change the sheets immediately The pool was not so clean tho – water was murky Also, we asked for additional blankets and pillows and were told that as we had a double room, we could not get anything additional That was strange The breakfast was a great option to have – they had a hot breakfast and also items that were easy to grab and go They had hot water all the time in the lobby so you can always make a coffee or something The rooms have a microwave and fridge which is super useful especially if you are traveling with kids Lots of outlets in the room also for various electronics

This was a completely unplanned hotel stay that my kids and I will remember forever Our entire county lost power in residential areas and I wasn’t able to find a hotel closer to home Chose this hotel specifically because it has the indoor pool and hot tub, but also a great price for an immaculate hotel

Everything was so clean The staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast in the morning was probably the most beautiful set up I have seen with a great selection They have a clean, spacious dining area that had more of a cafe feel to it The pool and the hot tub were exactly what we had hoped for, not too crowded either The hot tub and pool were both handicap accessible- this is something I love seeing, even if we don’t use itAll around, a great stay for an awesome price

OG BassheadMom

Those people who left a negative review have obviously never stayed at some of the other hotels in the area I’ve been traveling back and forth to Albany for a while now and all I can say is do not go for the cheaper hotels Last time,, let’s just say I have never been so disgusted by a hotel room in my life

so, when I got to my room at LA Quinta I was so happy The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable The staff was friendly and helpful My son had a good time in the pool and the breakfast was nice too I can’t stress this enough – it is not worth it to go for the cheaper places Spend the extra $50 and stay here, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised

nathan dice

We didn’t get the room we reserved but could use the room we got if we had a roll away Do you think 1 was available at anytime during the stay? Nope Our key was some how deactivated nearly every day, which led to a trip to the front desk

The continental breakfast was truly pitiful as well The staff was really good despite these glaring issues Always friendly and did whatever they could to help At best, meh

Beautiful hotel with very nicely newly renovated and spacious rooms Booked different room types for family visit and the king bed room was very spacious Could fit another king in it

Double queen beds room always also very spacious Receptionist was very courteous and accommodating We enjoyed our stay My only regret was not asking for a tub (my bad, assumed it had) to have a bubble bath after my long day It had a double size shower At checkout I asked the attendant to notify housekeeping that because of construction in main lobby the rooms were dusty and should be cleaned more properly Some corners you could clearly see dust and debre and while walking through the room does get under feet That was only reason why 4 stars; not 5

My family stayed here for an appointment they had in the area My aunt said that during the trip she felt at ease staying at this hotel They said check-in was easy for them, the rooms were super clean, and -all of the staff was great

Specifically, the night auditor, who was very kind, patient, and helpful when my aunt needed help printing some forms out We would definitely recommend it here again, and would give 10 stars if we could! 🙂

Robert Atkinson

Rooms were great, very clean and well equipped Beds were comfortable Needed extra towels and we had to go get them ourselves which was a new experience

Not terrible but not convenientWould definitely go backBreakfast was a big disappointment as they were short of many items and it was staffed by just 1 person (cook and front counter person)

Leigh Leigh

Stayed at this location a few times during the pandemic, however I suppose after the pandemic new staff came on boardI had an issue at check in & the young lady on staff didn’t know how to check someone in using points she had to make a phone call to the manager to figure it out No big deal right

However, I came back a few weeks later and it was the same lady at the front desk, again she didn’t know how to check me in , she had to call the manager again, this time proceeded to tell me it was my debit card, which I was looking at my bank account and it had plenty of funds in there, on top of that I tried a different card & the lady proceeded to tell me my cards were not working, which I know wasn’t true because after I left I went to an appointment and checked into another hotel and had absolutely no issues with any cards on file She proceeded to blame me in front of other customers telling me my card is declining I have never had an issue there before, or ever when checking in so I expressed to call corporate because I feel like the employee needed better training However, I tried to book there again because I like the location, I’m a college student and it’s right there next to the college, well I received an email informing me I wasn’t allowed back at that property For whatever reason , so I thought I’d share my experience for those of you who might be checking in under a different rate than the normal booking If you had a long day of travel beware of the under trained employees and be prepared to book a different location

Beautiful lobby, room, wonderful concierge and food staff Everyone made sure I was comfortable The concierge were friendly and helpful

The food staff made sure everyone wore masks and used gloves prior to touching the food My only complaint was my bed covers weren’t too clean and floor needed to be mopped It’s just an uncomfortable feeling during these times I would have given it 5 starsHowever, I would return to this hotel It was also reasonably priced

Sacred Jervis

Clean, modern and great employees The free breakfast and 24/7 coffee, tea & hot chocolate was really nice Digital check in and check out is wonderful! The pool area was clean, adequately stocked with towels and was very warm! The cable was also surprisingly really good as well

Lots of channels including Disney, HBO, etc Truly a family hotel I do wish that the rooms included a closet but overall I’m really happy with my stay

Cana White

Very newer looking building however the minimal feel of no closet or dresser or other furniture was disappointing Questionable how clean the bathroom really was as the soap dispenser were not refilled Your area to hang anything hangs over the small kitchenette area so you can brew coffee under your permanent press

If you like firm mattresses this is the place for you View was the roof and due to hardwood lamented floors everything echoes and you hear your neighbors very wellHotel was not busy so not sure why we had to be put in a room with adjoining door when we were not traveling with anyone elseDeposit amount was pretty steep for what we were already boating for and they still holding it after checking out more than 24 hrs ago We were hardly in the room to do anything more than sleepGreat location if you are doing shopping trip to Crossgates Pool are ran out of towels and didn’t seem to have anyone checking non it during the prime swim timeAnd finally having staff in the elevator with you having their own conversation but using foul language in front of my family was not really appreciate or felt appropriate for the work placeSeem to be upset that we dated to get on the elevator with them

We have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed our stay The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are immaculate and well taken care of It’s easy to get to but far enough of the main road so we’re not bothered by the traffic noise

My only issue is there are no USB ports in the rooms Most hotels now have lamps and/or outlets that have them Not a big deal but worth noting, so people know they will need to bring charging cubes with them when they stay

Pastle Bestys

The accommodations are as they present online, but for me it was the STAFF that had made this our GO TO spot in Albany, NY The front desk clerk Casey is always absolutely wonderful! She really makes you feel like we are old friends and goes absolutely out of her way to accommodate! Another honorable mention is the new cook SAMMY! This last time we were here we had the pleasure of meeting him and tasting his delicious HOME COOKING! If you are looking for a beautiful and conveniently located hotel in Albany this is the place to be! If you are looking for a hotel that SHOWS they care about your experience then Staybridge Albany IS the only hotel I can recommend in Albany that truly has it all! See for yourself

I was extremely satisfied with my stay here! Also I’ve never seen such an accommodating hotel Handicap and pet friendly, and there’s even storage for guests (which I’ve never seen before and assuming if one is staying for an extended time)There’s meetings rooms, a media room, fitness area and a pool! The best part complimentary breakfast 👏🏾 (it’s starts at 7 so get there early)The rooms are nice and spacious, the showers are lovely with phenomenal water pressure and temperature! The staff are extremely lovely and helpful and I can’t wait to come back if ever I’m in the area again 🤗

I booked this room form my grandmother and myself for a weekend away from home The rooms are massive and the pool and spa are great, but other than that, I am very disappointed On multiple occasions, I picked up dirty towels and food from the pool area

They were left there all day On one occasion, I picked blueberries out of the pool There was often trash in the halls and elevator that has been there since we arrived They also failed to tell us that housekeeping is only available upon request That would have been fine but they never told us until we went down and asked When we requested towels and toiletries, we had to ask 3 times before we received them, and they were left outside the door in a pile I am extremely disappointed and I would recommend you stay somewhere else that is worth the large sum I paid for 3 nights

Gary Ambrose

I was a bit disappointed with a few things For the price of $170 per night, I expected at least clean bedding of the proper size There was a stain on the bedspread, when we pulled all the bedding off at the end of our stay there was a large stain on the mattress

Also when we pulled out the sleeper sofa, there was a large urine stain on the mattress When I called the front desk to see if they had a replacement mattress for the sleeper sofa, the only solution that was offered was to put an extra sheet over itThe bedding for the sleeper sofa was of the wrong size (looked like it would probably fit the king bed), and when we asked for proper size sheets to be sent up, they were still the wrong size They either don’t have the right size sheets for the pull out bed, or no one knows where to get them fromThe night we were there, the pool towels were all used up and never replenished From about 6pm until 10pm when the pool closed, there were no towels Someone should be checking this stuff This was on a weekend when the hotel was booked up, so they should have had staff They don’t put enough towels at the pool anyway Even when we went first thing in the morning after it had been filled up, I could tell the towels were going to run out very quickly because they didn’t even fill up half the towel rackThe remote control was missing the battery cover and the batteries would not stay in When I called to ask, they did not have a replacement remote Not the biggest deal, but disappointingThe pool was nice, other than rarely having enough towels out The complimentary breakfast was very good and had a variety of hot food choices The mini kitchen in the room had everything you would need for a short trip All staff I encountered were very friendly, I just wish they were better at solving issues such as the one we had with the pee stain on the pull out The stained bedding and mattresses alone are enough to make me unlikely to stay here again They need to do better in that regard

Rooms were clean and well maintained Hotel extremely convenient to the hospital Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Luke

All common areas of the hotel were very nice and clean Free parking a bonus! Chairs in dinning area are kind of rough considering how nice everything else is In my opinion, continental breakfast should be complementary Nice view on 7th floor of the Catskills (See photo)

This is my second time staying at this hotel The first time I made the reservation via hopper, and the second via the actual hotel website I was not only greeted both visits with the friendly staff faces at the check in desk at all hours of the day/night, the hotel provides literally everything I could possible need

Rooms were clean and neat, and well lit I have to say out of everything I feel like the safety procedures set in place for all of the guests was my top favorite I love the fact you can’t enter a floor without a guest card That alone made me feel the safest I look foward to the next stay and thank you for everyone who made my stay yet another amazing one !

The Crowne Plaza Albany is an absolute outstanding hotel that provides great quality rooms, superbly made meals and first class serviceIn March of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a weekend stay at the Crowne Plaza Albany and we enjoyed every moment of our time at the hotel!!!We were warmly welcomed and graciously treated by the hotel’s staff and our hotel room was quite spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean!!!The highlight of the Crowne Plaza Albany and our favorite part of the hotel was its immaculate indoor courtyardThe courtyard is filled with multiple dining areas, a gorgeous fountain and guests are able to view it from the comfort of their own room

My wife and I also enjoyed our breakfast at Mr D’s Restaurant & Lounge and found both our meal and the service of the restaurant’s staff to be superb!!!Both my wife and I enjoyed our time and experience at the Crowne Plaza and definitely recommend for all travelers to stay at this wonderful hotel!!!

I have never had a more pleasant experience I was there this past Sunday and the staff made me feel beyond welcome, but the bartender Anthony went above and beyond what I would expect He was fast, made amazing drinks and was extremely charismatic

I have never had more fun and felt more comfortable at any other bar! I would absolutely recommend going to Mr D’s you will not be disappointed

Bryan Monaco

Interesting hotel layout; it was built by American Airlines in 1974 when they tried to get into that business Their theme was an old time America thing, which resulted in a unique hotel The hotel has two atriums that are like old town squares

The hotel was clean and the staff was good The meeting rooms were great, especially the theater They have a shuttle to the airport, but not to the train station Many people with my group arrived by rail, so that would have been nice The place is obviously popular for weddings because I saw three while I was there I was impressed with their catering I went to a banquet there and the food was great

Fairfield Inns are usually of a good standard, but this one downtown was very disappointing I booked this over other options due to a typically good breakfast When I arrived there was a printed paper on the window saying “No Breakfast Today”

Realizing things could happen like staff out, I asked what was the issue and if they were doing something for the guests like a credit to a breakfast or points for the issue I was told “I don’t know, we were just told no breakfast” and also that there was to be no compensation for this Sorry, but breakfast was a big part of the deal of staying at this hotel, and the response was unsatisfactoryWhen I showered the next morning I noticed something on the towel and found a short curly hair – not the kind you typically want to see in a bathroom, wondering if the towels were actually freshThe next problem was that I was still charged the 495 enhanced Internet fee even though I am an Elite member I noticed this on my bill later but did not want to go through the hassle of calling the hotel and getting a review and correction for five dollarsI suggest you skip this Fairfield and choose a different option near the city

Be very careful here guys! Apparently their housekeeping staff has a hustle where they will knock on your door, even if there is a Do Not Disturb sign, and when you don’t respond (because you don’t want to be bothered) they’ll try to enter your room Likely to go through your things while they think you’re outI experienced this twice while a guest there (got video of this both times)

I was sitting in bed, undressed – Do Not Disturb sign on the door Housekeeping knocks on my door anyways I don’t respond because there is a DO NOT DISTURB SIGN Housekeeping thinks I’m out for the day, so she takes it upon herself to try to sneak in!Meanwhile, I’m recording the whole thing with the phone in my hand (please see the video attached)Call me naive, but I trusted that housekeeping honored the wishes of the guests if a guest requests privacy, but I learned that that is not the case at this Fairfield Inn & Suites, where the housekeeping staff come in your room and do whatever they do while you’re none the wiserJust a little warning to travelers passing through, especially to solo women traveling alone Please be on guard for the housekeeping hustle at this property

Dirty hotel and definitely wouldn’t stay at this property again 12 hours into a two night stay and I’ve already counted three bugs crawling on the wall, food / crumbs on the floor and guck on the countersHotel has online mobile check in but doesn’t use it and not that it matters to me but it’s standard for front desk employees to thank customers for their loyalty status (mine is Ambassador) which she did not do upon my check in (again which was supposed to be done prior to my arrival anyhow)

Lastly, this place is very confusing to get to for those not familiar with the area While it is convenient right off of the highway, it’s on a side road that is not easy to locate

I’ve happened to stay in Albany NY at a very unusual weekend Some type of convention was occurringI had a complaint of music being too loud, mind you, there’s always people smoking and kids being kids

Not specifically at this hotel but, other various hotels Completely normal, nothing that I would ever call the front desk to complain aboutFront desk staff were awesome, as expected

This is a great hotel The staff were very friendly and welcoming However, on our second day the cleaning staff did not clean our room, so we had to ask for clean towels and more toilet paper, which was kind of a let down for a hotel with such a reputation

Moreover, one towel which was provided to us (although clean) was torn Not a huge deal but for $630 for two nights you would expect better

I normally avoid staying downtown but that may change now that I have found this place!Beautiful and historic lobby with modern, crisp guest rooms Super comfortable bed Zero noise from neighbors/hallway

Great water pressure and temp Staff were pleasant and welcomingI would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a hotel in the area!

Spent last night here Hotel is beautiful, staff are very friendly, beds are very comfortable Giving it a 3 because when I checked in they gave me a room with a view of a brick wall and am air conditioner, asked to be moved and they readily had other rooms available

The rooms also could use a deep clean Not sure if they just don’t give their staff enough time to clean, but the bed frames need a vacuum and there’s lots of dust and grime in the less seen areas (bed frames, ledges of the sill on the sliding bathroom door, edges of desk and bathroom counters, etc)

I’m having a terrible experience I’m out of shampoo and soap in the shower and asked for some, but no one brought any I don’t have a working outlet in the bathroom, so I’m using the microwave door as a mirror to do my hair

The internet has been spotty at best When I called the front desk, they denied that something could be wrong with the router and wanted to send someone to my room What?! Are you kidding me?! I don’t have a router in my room so why would I need someone to come into my room and mess with my computer?!! I’d think twice before staying here again

The front desk man was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to in my life He made me want to jump across the table and beat him up No one should talk to another person like he talked to my mother and I

We told him that there were roaches as well as bed bugs in my room and my other family members room He said they will have to do an investigation before they can refund my money or anything else I have bed bug bites all over me Also, the front desk man said they allow cats and dogs in the hotel which is so dirty! And people that have allergies to pets should not have to stay in a room where animals were before We spent over 1k for rooms with this hotel, for a family wedding Over 160 of my family members stayed at this hotel and we will never ever come back here! Horrible service horrible hotel I’m a gold member for Hilton and I promise I will never come back to a Hilton hotel

Didn’t happen We had tickets to a show in town that was postponed (we are from CT, so NOT close by)We decided to still come and stay

When we arrived, we were informed that the pet fee (not deposit!) Is $75 Nowhere in my booking confirmation did it say that, and the stated pet policy on the Expedia listing said $75 per WEEK (This is after finding out – surprise- there’s only valet parking on site !?)I told the young man at the desk that although I had selected a pet address, there was nothing about it in my confirmation, nor the follow up I received yesterday I’m used to paying an extra fee for the dog, but it’s usually less than half that While the man and I were talking, the young lady comes over and starts lecturing me about how I cannot leave my dog alone in the room, which I would NEVER do, and hadn’t brought up Neither of them cared that the policy was misleading, and felt dishonest, and they also didn’t seem to care that it was enough to make us leave So we just ate the $150 we paid in advance for the room We were going to come back for the reschedule of this show, and a few others, but our interactions left us feeling very “had” We’d love for you to make this right, but after our experience, aren’t expecting much Customer retention seems to be a thing of the past
