Staff was refreshingly friendly, even to my child However, I could not have imagined the surprise when we walked into our room It was HUGE compared to other comparably priced rooms

It was modern, clean, had the nicest FUNCTIONAL touches & EVERYTHING WORKED! The breakfast buffet quality was spot on, although there could have been a bit more selection Regardless, this stay was wonderful It only further reinforces my belief that I should only stay at Hilton/HoJo from now on!

Pleasantly surprised from start to finish At check in, the staff was very friendly, matched the online price, and even let us get a room before normal check in time The kids enjoyed the pool, and the room was 9/10 clean and had everything you need for a night or 2 stay, including a mini fridge and microwave

I had to go to a commitment that evening and didn’t get back until late, and felt safe in the parking area, as it is very well lit Will definitely go back

Teri Miller

Room was a king with updated outlets and usb ports Pillow top bed and updated linens Couch in room with coffee table

Laundry worked Microwave Large refrigerator and coffee maker in room All one floor so could park right in front of door Pool looked nice Light continental breakfast Quiet night Excellent value Would stop again

The one plus the area was good & not far from where I went for a graduation1 Beds are very uncomfortable

2 They were priced over 20000 per day, so why charge adults a additional 12 bucks for a basic breakfast? The hotel my sister was at cost half what I paid & gave free breakfast 🤷🏾3 Cabinets under tv & where fridge was would not stay closed, so watch your shins4 Fridge did not get cold, I called front desk about it nothing was done5 Towel holder on inside of bathroom door was missing6 Bathroom tub was stained, so it looks dirtyRoom 210, So don’t take that room folksSo Nope will Not stay there again when I visit againI was there this pass Thursday to Saturday

I will never stay at another Hilton Garden Inn especially this one in Oxford Alabama ever again in my life! For starters no hot water! We were there for a basketball tournament I was told by a fellow parent also staying at that hotel that they did not have hot water the night before The water wasn’t even lukewarm

It was ice cold Have you ever had to take an ice cold shower I spoke to the front desk she said she hadn’t seen the maintenance man at all on Friday Then I checked the heat which that did not work either, I called to the front desk and they said they would reset it 10 minutes later still no heat I then went downstairs to the front desk they said they would reset it again and hopefully it would work It still didn’t The beds were hard and the pillows flat Also I requested my digital key that never arrived went down to the front desk as the app says to do and the manager on duty got sassy with me and told me that there was nothing they could do Are you kidding me it’s called customer service This was by far the worst hotel experience ever!!

Everything in this hotel is broken and out of order The espresso machine downstairs in the lobby is out of order The hot tub is closed and out of order

The mini fridge in my room wasn’t working The ice machine on my floor was out of order They were not doing hot breakfast at all There was lukewarm water for the first 45 seconds of my shower then it was cold The elevators are screechy, wobbly and downright scary to ride on The floor was wet in one of them all evening and no one mopped it up, just placed a wet floor sign on it until the next morning when I saw it was still in the elevator car I don’t know if there’s a maintenance crew at all or if the one they have just needs to be replaced The staff I’ve seen is friendly but that’s about it If you’re expecting the nice, comfortable stay that the name Hilton usually ensures, you won’t get it here There’s 5 or 6 other hotels that share a parking lot with this one, maybe try one of those

Not a bad place for a nights stay Bed was too hard for my liking Room was very clean

I thought I had read it had an indoor and outdoor pool But it only has an outdoor pool that SUPER tiny Skipped the free breakfast so not sure how that was No issues and the front desk clerk was very nice I liked that it did not have carpet in the rooms

I booked this hotel through Priceline The receipt stated that check in time was at 3:00 and if you didn’t check in by 9 you could possibly loose your room with no refund(if that was stated prior to payment I would have considered another hotel

) I called to see if it was possible to have an early check in The receptionist was very rude, while explaining to me that check in starts at 4:00 and they didn’t allow early check-in because guests always complain about the room not being up to par I explained to her that I was coming to Anniston for work and I needed to be at the job site by 3 and it would be after 9 when I returned I didn’t need to physically be in the room at that time I just didn’t want to lose money She finally agreed and said the earliest she would allow me to check in was 2:30 When I arrived the receptionist was very nice I don’t think it was the same person I talked to on the phone I have no complaints about the condition of the room however my room was located on the first floor near the lobby and laundry room The staff were very noisy all night long! Either they were talking loud or the carts they used to haul laundry were making a racket It sounded like all four wheels were loose I barely got any rest due to the noise The last time I looked at the clock it was 4:26 am When I finally dozed off housekeeping was beating at the door at 9:00 I told them that I was still resting The second time I told them to come back They wasted no time because between then and 11 they came back 3 more times Check out time was 12 I have no complaints with the hotel room but the staff were very inconsiderate

SND SND

Very disappointed, as soon as you walk in there is a musty/sour odor The hallways/glass throughout was completely disgusting The elevator was nasty and smelt like pot

Mold on the bottom of the shower It just didn’t feel very clean at all You could tell someone had smoked cigarettes in the room it was faint when you ran the a/c but still there The breakfast area definitely could of been maintained a little better the counters were gross Also their website mentions late checkout, we were told we didn’t have that option because they were “full” Definitely should mention those stipulations a little more openly Oh and it’s only 30 mins

Searched for pet friendly hotels but with not a lot of luck with offering more than one dog and most were for SMALL dogs Found this place, called and spoke with Rick, who was very pleasant, told me we could bring our dogs for a small price extra(which, no big deal, I expected to pay a fee) and reserved our room We got into the town and checked in with no issues

Room was clean, even had the air on for us Sleep Inn definitely has my business, especially when we bring our 2 dogs

My Elderly Mother used this establishment on her way to Florida She was checked in by ‘the new girl’ ie She was double charged for both the room and the $150 security payment

Long story short: over-charged by well over $400 (one night stay) We were given assurances by a more than helpful and professional managereven given documented proof of the error Unfortunately, ‘We screwed up’ letters do not pay the bills and my elderly mother is now in a VERY uncomfortable financial position My bank does not see any attempt to make matters better, and we’ll probably spend Lord knows how long to correct the error But it’s pretty safe to say this has ruined my Mothers whole trip There’s no way to really make this ‘right’ at this point If you live social security check to social security check, PLEASE avoid this place all together

Renee Nae

Awful The room smelled of musty cigarette smoke and was very damp and humid The carpet was wet and nearly every outlet cover plate was broken

The towel hook in the bathroom was not connected to the wall, it was just stuck in the holes and the door did not close all the way Just a little issue of privacy that needs to be rectified The room was ridiculously overpricedOn the upside and hence the two stars, the food items available in the cafe for breakfast were good and fresh

I recently booked four rooms for my agency’s directors at the Courtyard By Marriott in Oxford AL My team said their rooms were clean and the hotel is located in a nice part of the city with several food options to choose fromI would also like to commend the front desk receptionist, Ms

Lynn, for helping me secure the receipts for my team after they checked out She was incredibly patient with me even though she was helping a large group check-in while I was on the phone with her She was kind enough to call me back and make sure I received the email receipts so I could complete my team’s travel authorizationsMs Lynn, I hope you’re reading this, you’re a lifesaver <3

Very disappointing could be a nice hotel but does not appear the management cares about the guests, no hot water, adjust the temp control doesn’t work reservations messed up, halls are dirty CLOTHES FROM OTHER VISITORS STILL IN MADE BED! Floor was actually more comfortable No mangers or maintenance that can be contacted Like I said could be a very nice hotel but it appears the owners/mangers are cutting corners or just don’t care

Arrived to our hotel room around 10:00pm and we were immediately hit with a terrible smell in the room which we thought may have been from the air conditioner However as we continued to inspect the room we found a cabinet next to the refrigerator that was completely full of old food bags, trash, and drinks so much so that the hotel clerk had to get a large trash bag to take it out Even with the trash removed the room smelled awful

Though our beds were made both had linens with stains on them which made us concerned that if housekeeping didn’t even notice the terrible stitch and trash we weren’t sure they actually changed the linens We also later found old drink bottles under the beds which let us know they didnt vacuum I spoke with the front desk clerk and while she was apologetic there were no other rooms to move us to due to the hotel being sold out as well as every other hotel within 50 miles This was absolutely not the experience I’ve ever had at any hotel much less a marriott and quite disappointing as housekeeping should have known that amount of trash was obviously in the room The front desk refunded the points I used for the room but the fact that I had to sleep in a awful room really upset us At 11pm we had to go to Walmart to buy room spray and microban to sanitize the room thoroughly and requested all new bedding to personally remake our beds Very unfortunate considering we traveled a long way I won’t be staying here again

Hunter, the night front desk man, was just great! Made us up a room when we arrived at 2am after a 10 hour trip so we wouldn’t have to sleep in our van to wait to check in! Room was great, dogs were comfy, cleaning staff were all friendly and accommodating Eric at the front desk was so helpful and friendly as well! No complaints except they couldn’t do anything about the nasty weather! Oxford is a great place, Choccolocco Park is perfect!

My teenage son and I stayed here for the weekend while attending his baseball tournament During our stay, the air conditioner in our room malfunctioned twice; the pocket door on the bathroom wouldn’t close; the dresser drawers kept rolling open every time we walked past them, creating a constant tripping hazard; and there was no phone chord connecting the receiver to the base of the phone so that we could communicate directly with guest services about our issues I called the front desk from my cell phone for assistance

Apparently, the staff knew about the inoperable bathroom door but chose not mention it to me when I checked in My son and I felt quite uncomfortable showering and going to the bathroom without a door for privacy! Maintenance wasn’t available to repair the A/C, so they sent a staff supervisor who finally addressed the issue at 10:57 pm, on our last night here No one bothered to address the phone, drawers, or door issuesThis place was NOT worth the near $200 per night they charged me to stay here I’ll be back out this way at the end of the summer to attend another tournament, but I WON’T patronize this hotel again I have also warned the other parents about our lousy experience So disappointed

I travel a good bit for work and my child’s sports – this week’s stay was for work I normally love staying in a Home 2 Suites because I can bring food and have all the amenities to make light meals in my room, they have a nice pool, polite staff, and they are normally clean and spacious When I got into my room I noticed that it had a stale/musty smell and it was warm – the air conditioner worked on the latter issue

The tile flooring was greasy feeling and it and the carpet had stains The lights were so dim and one of the lights in the kitchen was out I went to put food in the fridge and it still had liquid that had spilled onto the glass and become sticky – it also smelled strongly of fish – guess the last guests kept their leftover fish dinner in there? The kitchen had NO forks at all and only a couple spoons/knives The overall room had been only lightly wiped down as there was dust, hairs, etc on the counter tops and floors I went down to ask for another room and there was not another one available The gentleman at the front desk was nice and apologetic when he handed me plastic forks and a container of cleaning wipes so that I could go clean my room Also, there were no dishwasher cleaning tablets, so I made sure to wash all my dishes by hand before using them I have never been to a H2S that was so understaffed and dirty! I never once saw anyone working other than the front desk people- not even cleaning persons, and I was there for three nights! On top of that, the outside pool was closed No one replenished my room coffee pods and the downstairs coffee was out at 7:15 this morning when I left I was SO ready to get out of that place! I felt like I should have been paid to stay since my needs were not met and I had to clean my own room and dishes upon arrival and run down things that were supposed to be in the room I paid for I don’t think I’ll stay at this H2S ever again – the worst one I have ever been to

If I could give 0 stars I would Absolutely filthy Here on a work trip, had to go and buy cleaning supplies and scrub the place down to feel comfortable

Burn holes in the bedding, grime on the ceiling Floors are so dirty your feet will be black if you don’t wear shoes Dead bird in the lot in front of our door all week Smells awful Always an odor of marijuana Chairs by the pool are super dirty, if I didn’t have a child with me, I would’ve slept in my car

My room heavily smelled like a golden retriever 🥴It was pretty clean, but I needed new bedding and 2 airwick plug ins to go with my disinfecting ritualI enjoyed the TV and their channels and the easy to clean remote The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful during my stay

Would recommend for short stays!

circleback69

First off, they false advertise that they have a continental breakfast Basically they’ve got squat! Absolutely Nothing! Second, the showers are absolutely disgusting At first, dirty water comes out of the faucet which by the way, has almost 0 water pressure! To make matters worse, the sill plate between the carpet and the tile in the bathroom had screws that were popping up ready to rip someone’s foot to shreds! I called and informed them of this and they said they would send someone up right away to screw the screws back down

Of course that didn’t happen! The only reason I am giving this dump two stars is that, after reading other reviews, apparently I was one of the lucky ones that actually had clean bedsheets

Kian S

After getting the key to my room and walking into a room that was already occupied with someone else’s things, then given the keys to a double room where the beds weren’t bigger than a twin size, I was finally given a room with a king size bed It was uncomfortable as hell but it served it’s purpose for the night Definitely looking for better options next time

This Motel is absolutely disgusting and their advertisement is fraudulent in every way There is no front desk to check in or check out Fraudulent: **You stand out in the dark parking area, and a woman from the back eventually makes her way to a little window

**There is no breakfast included, or on the go breakfast included ** There is no snack bar and deli, it’s called a vending machine ** Hair Salon is a flat lie ** No laundry facilities ** No grab bar for the toilet ** Premium bedding is a lieI booked this motel through Travelocity and paid in advance I immediately called Travelocity and explained how terrible the room was They called and spoke with the owner No one came to change us out or ask if there was anything they could do, they said the room was clean When my 5yr old daughter and I entered the room it reeked of smoke and filth I went to Walmart and bought $40+ worth of disinfectant and bug spray I did not allow her to shower there The towels were damp I covered her pillow with t-shirts and we attempted to sleepI spoke to the owner, and he said that his family cleaned the room and there is no refund This place is run poorly and everything is outdated, stained and not professionally cleaned The advertisement is intentionally fraudulent and the owner by this transaction is unethical in business

Brandon Welch

Do not stay here This is by far the nastiest motel i have ever been in There were electrical safety hazards in the bathroom

The knobs on the tub/shower were missing Our beds had pubic hair all over them The towels hadn’t been washed I stay at low price motels all during mountain biking seasonall i need is a clean bedThis was horrible Also there was graffiti carved into the furniture

After viewing hotels on line for this much needed weekend escape, I chose this one, due to the many exceptional reviews  I had a great experience with HOTEL FINIAL The staff was incredibly helpful, check in was a breeze, and the amenities were great

The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect for this weekendThe main provision, “what can I SAY? It was dressesd immaculately, beautifully designed, and very impressive for historic view There was a young lady who enhanced our knowledge on the hotel and its historic foundation I would suggest anyone to this spot without any equivocations

This hotel is excellent! My husband and I stayed for a night and I had booked a room online Once we arrived at the property, I inquired about upgrading to one of the suites if they were available The staff was incredibly helpful and we were fortunate enough to be able to upgrade to an adorable suite! It is a stand alone structure within the hotel buildings

So beautiful!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wished we had stayed longer 10/10 recommend staying here!!

(Wow Kristen, rant much)-I’ve been to a lot of hotels, and my fair share of very nice ones including the Ritz Carlton This place, by far, is the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed(I say that largely because of the old 1800s feel

but you know, with running water and electricity) We stayed in the house(MANSION) part of the hotel, in the room on the very top floor(I can’t remember the name of the room) The room took up almost the entire third floor The room was incredibly well done, very modern updates and design but all of the old house style and structure are apparent They worked around it, and accented it beautifully It had a large bedroom with a TV, and an adjoining office room with surrounding windows And a full bathroom with a super clean shower The living room was large with a TV, and has a dining room with a beautiful view and a tiny reading nook which was just the cutest thing ever, plus another huge bathroom (tiny kitchen but that’s why waffle house is down stairs 😤jkdon’t do itmy tummy hurts) The overall interior of the whole hotel was stunning, a lot of windows and floors and wood was original 1800s Also there is a super sweet hotel cat that will just melt your heart And a super sweet hotel worker who’s name I unfortunately forget, but her 2 cats and 2 dogs are super cute and her knowledge of the place was impressive She deserves a raise, and that antique couch she wants Oh, and it was only $200?????? I mean?????? 40/10 would recommend
