You know how it is You fly in from out of town You are tired

Weary You just want to check in and get to your room as fast as possible Don’t feel like talking too much This was me on Sunday night when I strolled in to the Westin Philadelphia But then I met the front desk lady, Rachel She was bubbly and fun and super sweet She set me up in very nice room on a high floor When I came back down to printout a few things for work, she set me up and even brought me a bottle of water – unrequested! This is a great hotel with a wonderful staff I love staying here

Melissa Monforte

We arrived and were granted an early check in after driving all night so that was a plus Staff brought towels and TP when we called right away Staff very friendly and accommodating

It was noisy (outside) people singing LOUDLY with a microphone in the courtyard early in the AM on a weekend We were woken up by guests in the hotel fighting and what sounded like throwing things at 2am, hotel staff responded quickly to it once notified of it Dirty towel (visibly) hanging in the bathroom behind the door when we arrived I always wipe surfaces of the room down with Lysol, that too was surprisingly dirty Old coffee pod left in kureg, loved that they had real creamer for the coffee Bed was very comfortable

I’ve been a Marriott rewards member for over twenty years and have stayed in dozens of properties, but this was a complete disappointmentThey gave me a room, but the key didn’t work, even the mobile key I had to return to the check in desk, waiting for the one elevator that worked (the second was out of order and it took forever to get the one working)

They fixed the key for a different room, so my family had to drag our luggage to the other side of the hotelNormally there is hot water available to make tea, which is pretty stand for us, but not hereThere were only enough towels for one person, and 45 minutes after requesting more they cameThe pullout sofa had no sheets or blankets After 2 hours and 5 calls they finally brought themBreakfast saw the juice dispenser out of order and I was told the ice machine was also out of order, when I asked for iceI’ve never been as disappointed in a property as this one Surely they can do better

Daniel Herstine

This hotel is clearly not ready to be open after their extended closure due to the damage from Hurricane Ida While my room was in generally good condition, it was missing some furniture and supplies The hot water was barely functioning, the ice maker not working at all

Early on, I requested some items to be re-stocked in the room, and while I think the staff did their best to assist, I came back to find my room unlocked and propped open, with no idea how long it had been left like that This is a frankly stunning breach of security Luckily, it did not seem like anything had been stolenThe rest of the hotel was in absolute disarray No elevators, no fitness center, no pool or hot tub, no restaurant, lounge or business center, and no breakfast Not even a convenience center or vending machine! Strangely, almost every light fixture in the hallways was damaged, as if they’d been vandalized There was also debris and trash (from cleaned out rooms) scattered up and down the hallway to my room Construction workers milling around and materials laid out all overAt no point during my reservation, confirmation, or online check-in was I informed there was anything wrong with the hotel at all It was only when I arrived on-site that I was informed about the hurricane damage and all the amenities which were not available for my stay I don’t blame the employees – they seemed to be doing the best they could, and were extremely friendly and apologetic about the state of the hotel This may be a nice hotel again in another month or so, but absolutely should not be accepting reservations now, and definitely should not be taking reservations without informing customers of the issues beforehand

Jean Wood

This hotel has really gone downhill Shower water was lukewarm, no bedspread/ comforter—only a sheet and blanket on the bed, only two pretty old pillows, no soap/shampoo, only one glass in kitchenette, no glasses at all in bathroom Who knows when it was last cleaned

Our keys didn’t work on one back door to the hotel Other back door had broken key entry so just walked right in No key access required It was really pretty badUsed to recommend this highly but not any longer Marriott has really let this location go It’s in need of a major renovation

Edit: Down to 1starNo Edison outlet between beds This really sucks if you have sleep apnea The clock does have two slow charging USB ports though

AC is weird Do not recommend of you love super cold rooms Won’t go below 62 and if you’re below 65 the AC stops removing a lot of the humidity for some reasonHousekeeping is inconsistent and always came in the afternoon when I was already back from workThey have exactly 1 washer and 1 dryer for the whole building to share And the dryer is brokenLocation is suboptimal I wish they were 5mi east because there’s a void of hotels there that extends to downtownThey have a bar/restaurant, and even a sign by the road advertising it’s now open, but the chef has been out for weeks and won’t be back for weeks Seems dumb to only have a single guy who is scheduled to cookFront desk people are friendly and do what they canBreakfast is free, and fairly typical Nothing fancy, but it’s not lackingParking is freeThe elevator doors close very slowly, but the close door button Does work and it’s worth pushing

I hosted a celebration in the Gathering Room at the Inn at Swarthmore and the experience was perfect! Booking the space was seamless and my contact for organizing and booking, Melissa, was so helpful and responsive The space looked elegant when after set-up was complete, and the staff were amazing with everything from set-up to helping me find safety pins to secure my dress The staff even accommodated my last minute request for fresh mint and lemonade for cocktails and made sure the dessert display for my cake, cupcakes, and cookies was beautiful

The food was delicious (and there were so many options!) and plentiful The location was perfect for accommodating all of my guests because the regional rail is right next to the hotel and there is plenty of parking available I looked at 17 different venues before deciding on this one – this was by far the best value and a lot of the work was done for me I also appreciated that the estimate I received when looking around was so transparent – the fees and taxes were included so no unsavory surprises! The total bill came to the exact same as the estimate I cannot say enough good things about this experience – a true hidden gem!!! Thank you all for a truly wonderful time!

Nicole Rouleau

Absolutely loved this restaurant Its a hidden gem we never knew about! The drinks were amazing The food was so so good! Highly recommend the flatbreads and the buttermilk chicken sandwich! They hire servers that are new to serving which I think is outstanding

Giving people a chance to feel good about themselves and gain experience is wonderful Great serviceThey also have a wonderful weekend brunch – will be checking that out asap!

My family and I gathered at the intimate Chestnut Hill Hotel last weekend, enjoyed every bit of it We are from the area and familiar with all the fun and charm and great food that the historic neighborhood offers It was my first stay at the hotel, though family members have stayed in the past

After a three-week road trip where we stayed in many, many hotels the Chestnut Hill Hotel is the best This hotel is terrific! It is very clean, and the staff is helpful and amiable The furniture and decor are lovely, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are of good size

The food in the hotel’s restaurant was delicious and the decor allowed for a relaxing dinner I should not forget the gardens which are beautiful There is also plenty of free parking The hotel is located right on the main street in Chestnut hill, a lovely section of Philly where there are all kinds of shops and restaurants within walking distance Great hotel!

The staff at the Windsor suites are amazing!! The care, concern and attention they give to their guests is outstanding!! From the lobby assistant; Treviare, housekeeping; Ivy & supervisor Josh, up to management; the wonderful Ms Stephanie I must say there wasn’t a staff member that we encountered that wasn’t pleasant, friendly, accommodating and welcoming

My husband and I have stayed here every year for the past seven years and they have never disappointed us We love this placeWhen you’re in Philadelphia or already live in Philadelphia, and need an excellent hotel to stay at, trust me the Windsor Suites would be an excellent choiceKeep up the great work you guys!!

Brandon Caudill

The Windsor Suites was the perfect place for a last minute stay in Philadelphia We especially appreciated the pet-friendly policy and easy parking Our room was affordable, spacious, had a great view (see picture) and even came with a small, fully functional kitchen

We made use of the small fridge, wine glasses and bottle opener, but I imagine this would also be a great room for a longer stay The location is perfect and we were able to walk to any museum, restaurant or coffee shop we wanted to visit We had no issues with the temperature of the room, but the weather is also very mild this time of year Also, the pool and rooftop deck were closed for renovations This wasn’t a big deal for us, but it would have been nice to have a heads up about this before booking

Javi P

Staff and location are great Parking is reasonable for downtown However pictures are not what we had in room

Pics on website are much nicer! Also, you cannot control AC/heat in the room Depending on the season, either the AC or Heat is on You personalize cannot control the temp Only option you have is to turn it off, open window or ask for a fan Also Pool and Deck are closed during season but not mentioned on website There was also someone personal shampoo bottles left in the shower when we checked inCall before booking to see what is open, etc

Not impressed

first of all, I arrived after midnight, alone, and was stranded outside closed hotel doors for a good 5 minutes Not really a fun thing for a lone female in Philadelphia The hotel staff was claiming that they did not hear me ring the bell all that time It would be one thing if they apologized for the wait, but no, I should’ve called the hotel and pressed zero (which I did and was waiting on hold, so that didn’t help) However, the next day Erika was very nice and kind and accommodates a room change The hotel itself is in rough shape (maintenance and upkeep), there was also an odd high pitch winning noise every single morning for about 15 minutes Not sure if this was the issue with the center AC turning on or what The first room I was in had the loudest fridge in the world, to the point that I had to close the bedroom door to try to keep the noise down, and the kitchen light had no light switche at all The second room was a bit better, but still rough Housekeeping was totally inconsistent Some days they showed up and just got the trash, other days they made the beds, and the last two days they didn’t show up at all Not even to replenish supplies Breakfast was mediocre They ran out of to go cups at some point in time, so you couldn’t even leave with your coffee The pool was lovely, but hot tub was closed If you have other options Go there

Michael E.

Fast, efficient, accurate scheduling of reservation and transmission of required documentation electronically for completion of check-in process Clean, modern, spacious facility with friendly front desk personnel with good attitude towards their duties Manager, Erica, expresses great interest in satisfaction of hotel guests and their feedback, especially from Hilton Honors members

The rooms are dated (if that’s important to you), but mostly my concern is carpet which was very dated and felt dirty (i didn’t get close enough to thoroughly inspect, just wear your flip flops and it’s fine) The AC and fridge were both pretty loud but just white noise so that didn’t bother us too muchFront desk people were all very nice and answered any questions we had

Pool looked clean but we didn’t get a chance to use it Breakfast room is small (i guess not everyone eats their free breakfast)Neighborhood: i mean the mall is in view which also means lots of restaurants and next door is dominoes which for us was a great option for a late dinner Not a great place to walk around since you’re surrounded by main roads but we managed a stroll and it felt pretty safe

Grace Gardner

This hotel was actually so awful I came here on a school trip and we got our room and it wasn’t cleaned since the last stay, my classmates rooms weren’t cleaned either The beds were messy and the bathroom was gross

We ended up getting new rooms and the sheets didn’t fit the bed The toilet wouldn’t flush and numerous other rooms had plumbing issues too The downstairs wasn’t being used because there was water damage in the basement There weren’t many breakfast options either The bedding was practically just sheets, it gave off creepy vibes and a 13 year old was hit on by another person staying here The only reason I’m putting 2 stars and not one is because the pool was great, and the outside was pretty cool I do NOT recommend!!!

Melanie Garbaini

Great location Outdated decor/ rooms Extremely dirty pool with no running filter and hardly any chlorine

Friendly employees Front desk does not answer the phones though Breakfast was very simple So not try the Blueberry waffle mix, it’s awful Bed was comfortable Rooms did not receive service Stains on shear curtains No dark curtains to block out lightThere are other hotels in the same area that are probably much better

Hemingway entitled one of his short stories, “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” I’ve always loved his description of a setting free of clutter which lends to our getting re-centered The Wayne B & B definitely fits this description

The owners and extended family (including Tom, Nancy and Paulina) are warm, attentive, and authenticBreakfasts were tip-top — quiches cooked to perfection, mouth-watering bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, fresh fruit lathered in cream, expertly-prepared cappuccino, and moreThe dwelling, though historic, has been renovated with modern HVAC, electricity, and fixtures Though I was on the top floor, the temperature was perfectRumor has it that if you look hard enough in the library, you may find a Sherlock Holmes-based short story or two, written in the style of the original canonAnd, if you need a local’s knowledge on Longwood Gardens or the remarkable Baldwin’s Book Barn, just ask!

My stay at the Wayne Bed and Breakfast was delightful The Mr And Ms

Thomason were welcoming, friendly and accommodating The house and grounds are beautiful, my room and en suite bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable Breakfast was healthy, varied and yummy They really made me feel like they were glad I was their guest I definitely recommend it and would be happy to returnKathleenOakland, California

Ellie Ruiz

My husband and I went to this bed and breakfast and we’re very disappointed When we arrived the place hasn’t been kept up in awhile and the inside was very bare and wasn’t decorated as in the pictures on the website Lastly the pool & jacuzzi was closed

I personally chose this bed and breakfast for the amenities which we couldn’t use I thought we would get compensated on something like a partial refund or we would get a full breakfast since we chose a limited breakfast However, the owner said he felt bad for us but didn’t offer anything since we weren’t happy about not being able to use the amenities The owner took my credit card after bringing us to our room then told us that we couldn’t use the amenities after the fact I thought that was very sneaky of him I feel the least he could of done before booking the room he could of emailed us that the amenities weren’t available This all seemed like a bit of false advertisement since the pictures on the website looks nothing like seeing it in person We were told that the house was up on the market but didn’t sell however, now he changed his mind and is he’s now leaving it as a bed & breakfast once again Maybe in time he’ll have everything back to where it use to be but for now if you are interested please ask question before going

John Westwood

Nice hotel I feel like “The Alloy” focused their expenses and updates on the lobby/ dining area (which to be fair is beautiful) The rooms are nice as well with newer furnishings, but don’t quite match the elegance of the main entrance

Staff was very friendly and helpfulMy room was equipped with a mini fridge (which was great) However, the bathroom did not have a fan, which led to cloudy mirrors after showering I could sometimes hear other guests through the walls (but it was not overly bothersome)Parking was manageable There are many restaurants, coffee, and grocery stores nearby You cannot hear any highway noise from inside the rooms

Lucero Galvan

Beautifully remodeled hotel All the main areas, including rooms, had updated features and decor Note, that the only “outdated” area, IMO, was the bathroom – however still very nice and spacious

We received a warm cookie at check in, which we enjoyed in one of their outside seating areas, with the most comfortable couches The fully-stocked bar area had plenty of seating for drinking or collaborating with colleagues The best part was the gym It had all the needed machines and weights to have a fairly good workout They even have an area with ear phones in case you forgot your own All the machines seemed new, with TV workout interactions It’s one of the better hotels we’ve stayed on our work trip in Philly

J Ra John

This will be my second time coming to The Alloy, and it didn’t disappoint The staff upon check-in were amazing, beautiful, helpful, warm, and welcoming The Hotel itself, sets very elegantly on the property

The general entrance / commons, bar, and restaurant areas are so well-kept and look great The rooms are spacious, clean, updated, and comfortable I really have no complaints for The Alloy on this stay It was pleasant, and close to everything I needed to get to All major retail, and entertainment are within seconds, to a few minutes from the property I have now made this place a permanent consideration, for future leisure or business stops in the KOP area

This hotel is very conveniently located It has great parking, but no valet available One can tell that this was a beautiful hotel at one point but NOTHING has been done to it and it is decaying

The bones of the hotel are beautiful, but the furniture is second rate, the decorations are scant and cheap, the carpets and curtains have seen better days While we were staying there, the fire alarm went off and it took them a long time to get the elevators running again The door was on our room would open without a key and the bathroom curtain was filthyThe hotel’s restaurant, Nineteen, is very nice, but only the inner circle is well decorated The rest of the tables look like fold awaysTo get into the hotel, one has to walk through a weird office lobby where at one point there must have been stores but now we wonky empty spacesIt is sad to see such a beautiful building go without maintenance or upkeep

Jenny Contenta

Very charming 200 year old hotel The rooms are very dark and not the cleanest I really disliked the beds, hard mattresses and now comforter on the bed

Meeting rooms are nice and large No coffee shop and no bar So much potential My lights kept coming on in my room the entire week stay Super annoying that they do not clean your room daily

Rachelle Marie

Priced high, expected it to be cleaner The room was large as we had a corner room, double bed Room furniture, carpet is all pretty aged and quite dirty

Shower drained slow and filled up the tub rather quick Hallways and carpets dirty feel We really wanted a more luxurious stay here as it was pictures and displayed so nice on the advertisements Restaurant not open for dining in, delivery fee and 5 dollar cold stale toast Parking was 40 bucks for one night! They DO NOT VALIDATE parking like some reviews say they do A bummer, but downtown near shopping

We stayed here for a needlepoint retreat and had a blast It’s great for groups with 10-13 people as you can book out the whole place and have it to yourself The rooms vary in price, so group members are able to book what works best for them

The staff was super helpful and worked to coordinate anything we needed for our stay It’s a great, quiet place close to Philly attractions and there’s a lot to do and eat around there The only downside is that there is no elevator so guests should be comfortable with stairs

Ali Faj Bra

Stayed in the Independence Suite and the room was so clean I’ve been to plenty of old-style hotels and none have been this clean Hospitality was superb and the breakfast was excellent

Location was perfect and felt safe to wander around at night Highly recommend place Look forward to my next stay with La Reserve for my next Philly visit Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at La Reserve! We stayed in the Hunt Suite, which was very spacious and beautifully decorated The bed was so comfy and we slept so soundly after walking around the city all day! The window AC unit worked great and we didn’t mind climbing the stairs with our luggage It was a quaint place to stay and in a really nice part of Philadelphia

Have your wedding at the Inn at Villanova!!! They gave us our dream wedding Everything was absolutely perfect! Kristin, our coordinator was incredible from the first time we met her She answered all of my questions and emails quickly and made everything happen for us! The combination of the hotel, mansion, and ballroom made for a gorgeous wedding in a beautiful place, with the ease of accommodations just steps from our reception

The mansion was gorgeous for cocktail hour and had many different spaces so people could wander and mingle as they liked The ballroom was decorated beautifully and did not feel too crowded or too empty with our 90 guests The food was incredible, all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was! We had an after party back in the mansion which was fun and delicious and then brunch in the mansion the next morning, which was again, delicious Brian and Sarah from the food and beverage team were kind, professional, and excellent They made sure everything ran smoothly and was perfect! The staff was lovely and so helpful and kind The service, food, and atmosphere were all incredible It was the most perfect wedding and we are forever grateful to the Inn! Thank you!!!Hotel rooms were clean and well designed The beds were so comfortable! All rooms had balconies to enjoy some fresh air The suite was gorgeous and huge! We had a great stay at the Inn!

We had our wedding at the Inn at Villanova in July of 2022 and our guests can’t stop talking about how much fun it was and what a perfect venue the Inn was—we HIGHLY recommend the Inn as a venueWe REALLY have to thank the amazing Kristin, the chef, and the whole staff were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make our day incredibleOur wedding was originally scheduled for 2020 but was rescheduled to 2022 due to Covid and the Inn was incredibly accommodating and gracious along the way it was a night we will always remember and the Inn will always be a fond memory for us!

I can’t believe the high ratings I see for this place Probably one of the worst banquet experiences I’ve ever had There was no staff to be found for any assistance, but most egregious, there was no refilling of coffee/tea urns or desert tray midway through a three hour long banquet

Not even any refill for water And, as I said, no staff around to even ask for it Maybe bring your own refreshments next time you have an event there

Very helpful front desk and check in process Rooms were very clean and stylish Amazing water pressure in the shower and they also provide conditioner, shampoo, and body wash

There’s a cute Mexican restaurant and a cute rooftop bar to check as well I 100% recommend grabbing a coffee in the AM The coffee shop inside is so cute and the service is amazing! Lastly the coffee almost has this creaminess too it I can’t explain and I only had an American iced Definitely would stay again when in Philly!

Super location, great rates, excellent service Very comfortable bed, fun window seating (fun, not comfortable) w/nice city view, good bathroom Clean

Very thin walls and laminate floors but courteous neighbors overall Originally a “Pod” hotel but better as a Hilton In-house lobby cafe is interesting and decent enough that I would visit it on it’s own merits + it offers relatively generous Hilton elite breakfast benefit

I booked for a long weekend in December I have no complaints The place was clean, the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating

Sure, the room was small, but I knew what I was booking when I looked the place up I only needed a bed and bathroom during my stay There was of course a TV as well as under the bed storage, a safe, and two drawers The bathroom was regular sized, had a very nice shower and there was a hair dryer as well This hotel is gorgeous and I enjoyed having a cafe inside the hotel I did not have any complaints during my stay Just make sure you do some research before booking any hotel, there’s no reason for people to be disappointed in what they didn’t get when none of it was advertised in the first place

Nice boutique hotel, well appointed rooms, with decent sized lobby with seating (live music!) attached to a cool restaurant and great bar Very limited dedicated parking, tough entryway to navigate if you have more than one bag, and unhelpful/inept front desk staff makes me hesitate to come back for anything more than a one night excursion with my wife

I have stayed at the Wayne Hotel many times I lived in Wayne for many years and now return several times each year on business As long as my dogs are not traveling with me, I stay here

It is walking distance to a number of shops and very good restaurants I especially like Alessandro’s and Elegance Cafe The rooms are always sparkling clean, the beds are very comfortable and one can open the windows to get fresh air Rooms on the Lancaster Ave side of the building do get traffic noise in the early morning so bring ear plugs if this bothers you Rosalie is a new restaurant on site – I have not tried it as yet

Lisa Posnack

Reviewing the restaurant My friend and I chose the restaurant in the Wayne hotel to have a holiday get together luncheon My friend called to make reservations for 12 noon and was told nothing was available at that time but they could take us at 12:15 which we were ok with but thought was strange as ordinarily if a restaurant is booked they will offer you either an early time, eg, 11:30 or a late time,eg, 1:30

even more puzzled when we arrived restaurant was half full although within a half hour of our arrival it did fill up Just confirmed for us that it was completely illogical to delay our reservation but didn’t dwell on it and proceeded to try to catch up with one another Waitress immediately approached us and took our drink order Not even a minute later we were approached by another server, (a male) asking if we were being taken care of and we replied yes that our drink order had just been taken He immediately demanded we give him our food order so we complied We immediately got our drinks and then food and proceeded to try to eat and enjoy our lunch but we’re prevented from doing so due to no less than 10 interruptions by at least 4 different people presumably a collection of servers and managers The first 2 times, we thought they were being unusually attentive but by the tenth time it became more a form of harassment We did not complain but instead hurriedly left as apparently that is what they wanted It should be noted that neither of us believes in hanging out at a table and that is not what we were doing We were just attempting to finish eating our meal which it should be noted we might have been able to do without the non-stop interruptions In summation, completely unable to enjoy our expensive meal due to the egregious behavior of the staff

I really wanted to love the place But I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed For almost $800 per night I expected more

The staff were excellent and professional But that’s were the excellence endedI’ve used better towels at a Holiday Inn The robes were also thin and short The shower was small No amenities for the bathtub No tea in the room No hot tub The doorman, though friendly, never noticed anyone walking out And many times not even walking in At the Library Bar, my wife ordered a White Russian, but was told they were out of cream After not ordering anything else, they found some cream Suspicious? Yes All in all, a good hotel, but not worth what they charge

My wife booked us a massage a few weeks ago I cant remember if it was a Wednesday or Thursday The massage was great and the staff were awesome

Only issue I had (and not even a huge deal), was that I asked the front desk to speak to a manager (I wanted to ask a question on future bookings) and they said “the manager that is here is Lisa (or Linda, cant remember exactly) and she doesn’t talk to guests regularly and she usually leaves early and might have left already” Clearly this employee is not a fan of the manager as I sensed some tude when she was speaking about her (cant remember employee name but had light colored hair), but if the manager is hands off, I can understand the employees frustrationI asked if there was anyone else and they gave me the number to a different manager who was off that day Not a big deal but it is sad that the manager doesn’t want to speak with customers I did speak with the other manager and she was helpfulOn a good note, the spa was super clean and the staff were all dressed and came off very professional The valet were also super helpful in recommending me some local restaurants to have an early dinner at (early birds)! I wish I remembered his nameI will return!

3 stars is actually mediocre and for the type of establishment they portray themselves to be that’s not a good thingFirst, the greeting staff is friendly and helpful but the room, though generally large, has tons of wasted space and a small bathroom The shower is tiny and the vanity is very small

Tight quarters for 2 people and their toiletries The towels are small and somewhat thin Same with the robes Also they went to lengths to have a separate tub and shower but don’t include any bath salts or anything for the tubWhy is there only coffee in the room? My husband is a tea drinker and there were no options for tea in the roomBreakfast is good but pricey for what it is The bar is nice but way too small with the traffic from the restaurants and guests And tonight, wanted a White Russian and they couldn’t make it because they ran out of cream Really? No one could run to 7-11? Update to that About an hour later, as I sat without a drink, while my husband drank, they “found” a small amount of cream and brought me a drinkAnd where in any information on the hotel does it tell you that the high tea is not being done? All in all not wowedThey miss the mark on 5 star so they are really just average, and average shouldn’t cost this much

This was one of the cutest places I have stayed! Very Cozy! The staff was super friendly and very helpful They had already put the coffee up in the morning but the sweet girl working the front desk went back and got me a cup! I highly recommend this place! I will be visiting again! The only thing I wish they had in the rooms was a small refrigerator, but that will not stop me from going back! Love Loved It!

I absolutely LOVE this hotel, the beautiful mid century modern decor exudes a warmth and charm that most ‘modern’ hotels don’t offerThe area was also perfect, steps from a variety of food, bookstores, parks and beautiful mosaic artworks My room was perfectly appointed, bed was firm but comfortable, with plenty of pillows

I was in town for work and it was such a pleasure to wind down in my peaceful hotel room Check in was a breeze and the counter staff were so friendly and kind Christina was the night counter staff, helped my with a small technical issue in my room It was resovled quickly and with care She was thoughtful enough to mention the continental breakfast the next morning- I was leaving quite early (6am)to catch a flight Breakfast is usually posted at 7 but she said that Tony would be more than happy to have some coffee ready for my departure if need beThe following morning coffee and breakfast were waiting for me before making my way to the airport Tony greeted me in the lobby and let me know there was coffee and bagels available He also made sure I had a ride to the airport and if I would need help with my bags Overall from check in to check out the staff really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and care for and I will most definitely recommend this lovely hotel to future travellers I too will most definitely be back!!

The Alexander Inn is a delightful mid-century hotel with some lovely amenities The staff we encountered were professional, cheerful and kind An unexpected benefit of our stay here was that we are right at the edge of the gay neighborhood of Philadelphia

For my husband and I this was superb Even though we were close to the gay neighborhood, it was also a very easy walking distance to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell and many other key historic sites in Philadelphia We will definitely be staying here again when we return to , the location is simply perfect and the aesthetic qualities of the hotel itself are beautiful

What started out disappointing turned out to be a decent stay I booked our room for my cousins wedding months before I worked directly with an agent to understand the sleeping arrangements

It was booked is a queen suite so we could be in the building with the other wedding guests but would have 2 queen beds and a couch bed When we arrived they said our room wasn’t ready less than an hour before the wedding and they down graded us because they over sold the wedding rate After being a Marriott rewards member since the program first started I was disgusted and very irate I asked for the on-site manager When they reviewed my book and saw how many months out I booked they immediately put me back into the room I had booked and it was amazingly it was ready The room was lovely but the service was terrible They helped me and screwed the people who checked in right before me, also wedding quests and the family after us too Later that night a family came down for bedding for their pull out couch and the hotel gave them 1 sheet, 1 blanket and one pillow and told them that was the last pillow they hadAll I can say is that the hotel was clean and quiet and attached to the venue so that was worth it I can tell you I would only recommend this hotel if you had to attend an event at the Springfield Country club Definitely not a relaxing vacation spot

This place is huge Very clean very neat and very organized The entrance has a super big axcent wall soon as u enter with a great appealing view

All the staff was so polite and very generous The lighting was well lit everywhere chandeliers where spectacular everywhere I looked The services were all perfect the parking was abundant The food served was delicious I mean everything went perfectly well for me and my wife no complaints at all 5 stars to the venue the building the staff the food and the whole experience here

We were at the hotel for a wedding It was a festive occasion for us and we were looking forward to a great stay at Marriott hotel But there were many surprises in the wings

1) The rooms do not have lockers to store your valuables They have bank-type lockers at the check-in counter which are very inconvenient when you have to carry your valuables, including jewelry from your room to the front desk Also very risky for losing some of the stuff2) When I called in to deliver a pillow to my room, the front desk clerk refused as he was alone on duty and was not allowed to leave the desk So if you need anything after 10PM, you have to go down to front desk3) They did not have foam pillows The front desk people did not even know what foam pillow looks/feels like The bed was very soft The room was small with not much light in the room The switches are located at inconvenient places There is no microwave in the room You can use the microwave located near front desk But just like locker situation, this is inconvenient as well4) My Marriott App mentioned that I had free breakfast But the front desk said that it is wrong and they will contact Marriott to update their system I did not push for getting free breakfast after see the other issues I mentioned above5) At times there were long lines to front desk since they only had 1 or 2 clerks working there6) There was still construction going on in the hotel, but we did not hear lot of noiseNow the good part1) The staff was friendly and tried to help as much as they could2) It is located on a very nice golf course So all the golf lovers this is the place to stay if you are in Springfield, PAWe had pleasant time due to all the festivities, but the stay could have been much better

Words cannot express how truly wonderful this bed and breakfast is! I needed a getaway for a couple days and this was the perfect spot The owners are so kind and attentive (plus they have three adorable dogs), the decorations and setup of the place are immaculate, and the atmosphere is completely comfortable It’s also the perfect place to devour a couple books

I have never felt so at home at a place that wasn’t home I highly, highly recommend staying at the Alpenhof!

Clayton Park RV Escape

We really enjoyed our stay at Alpenhof A quiet weekend away was just what the doctor ordered It’s comfortable, beautifully decorated, in a beautiful area, and a quick drive to museums and shopping

They serve a delicious breakfast and it was really nice being waited on by Rowland and Anh We would love to return for the Monet experience some time this summer if we can possibly get away

Debbie Rubenstein

What can I say? The alpenhof reflects it’s owners, Roland and Ann: it is warm, cozy, welcoming and thoroughly original The rooms are cozy but cleverly laid out and very comfortable The breakfast was wonderful and the company and stories were even better

Roland grew up in the house and shared stories of his horticulturalist mother and concert pianist father Plus, we accidentally booked one night too few Roland did some kind of magic and managed to let us stay an extra night He had every right to be crabby and unhelpful but he was the soul of kindness instead

Wow! Where to start?! This hotel is absolutely stunning We cannot express enough how wonderful their staff is as well They went above and beyond to correct a minor inconvenience and were extremely helpful with returning an item back to me that was left at the hotel

The pool, bar, spa, rooms, atmosphere, etc are just top notch You couldn’t ask for more My husband and I enjoyed every second of our stay and we are looking forward to getting back to the Four Seasons soon Again, the staff is just fantastic and we highly recommend this beautiful hotel 11/10!

Wow, this hotel is amazing and customer service is top notch! There’s always a service person in the hallway almost anytime you open your door to provide you with anything you may need in your room They also have ice service to your room which is a plus There is bed turndown service as well

The bathroom has the best shower with strong pressure! The closet is like a changing area which is nicely separated front the bedroom area Everything is super plush here only suggestion is that they provide better toilet paper in the rooms Considering how upscale this hotel is, this is definitely a must

Taylor Weese

Posting on behalf of a friend who was too shy to do so – the hotel itself and service is lovely and exceed expectations The elevators, or should I say elevator, needs to be assessed and addressed How can such a luxurious hotel think the current system works? The amount of people and floors and what are labeled “smart” elevators create an unnecessary wait for a simple trip

Desperately needs improvement If they’re going to have two for the whole hotel, at least make sure they both work all the time! Otherwise fantastic
