Overall, we were very pleased with our stay The staff was very friendly and helpful The restaurant, at which we had dinner, was excellent

The room was nice – roomy, well-kept, neat and clean The TV was high quality and good sized The beds were comfortable and we slept well We liked the view, which overlooked the busy main street and was fun for people-watchingOnly minor quibbles: both the shower head and the water flow was non-adjustable and the water flow was way too strong – like pins and needlesIt would also be nice if parking were free It was $10 per day, just remember to save your tickets and get them validated at the desk

The location of this hotel is just about perfect – it’s in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of all of Montpelier’s dining and shopping options The room was clean, the bathroom was great, and cleaning service was on a predictable 5-day schedule”Cleaning” service, though, only seems to include changing linens and making the bed

At no point during the 2-week stay was the bathroom actually cleaned, other than by meThe recommended breakfast option isn’t in-house, and it’ll run you more than $4 for a single self-serve, drip coffee Tip: go to the Shell station a block away and fill your cup for $1, and get one of their great breakfast sandwiches, tooOverall, if you’re not obsessive about details, it’s decent, but still don’t fall for the breakfast option

Family of 4 stayed 1 night on a return trip from Maine Parking is behind the hotel Access to the building required a key card

Arrived after 10p and the door was locked Good safety Elevator is very small and with luggage 2 trips were needed to reach our floor Beds had no box spring so the matress sits on wood Husband didn’t like it while I slept like a rock However, this hotel had one of the best showers ever!!! Hot water, full spray, powerful Came home and the whole family mentioned wanting the shower that we had at Capitol Plaza Fridge in the room Walking distance of restaurants in Montpelier The hotel had history while having recent updates and I would guess is beautifully decorated at Christmas!

Greg and Willie are the consummate hosts Technical perfection in a laid back, informal way that makes you feel like you’ve returned to your childhood home The lodge is the quintessential getaway, with fascinating décor

Our room was perfectly equipped, functional and comfortable Most importantly, it was spotless The hike(s) to the Sky Loft is worth the effort The mystery of SID adds an interesting twist to the stay Convenient to some of Vermont’s prime attractions but special enough you may not want to leave the property We loved Moose Meadow Lodge and Tree House and we will be back!

We had the pleasure of returning to Moose Meadow Lodge at the end of September When we were there in the summer of 2013, I made it a goal to return in the fall the first year I retired Everything is the same only better

It is obvious that Willie and Greg spend lots of time upgrading the property! The setting and lodge are so beautiful but it is the hospitality that Willie and Greg provide that makes this experience outstanding! You really do feel at home from the minute you arrive! My husband and I have been to at least 40 B &Bs in our life and no other innkeepers come closeThe breakfast prepared by Willie is still awesome and I can’t wait to try his pancake mix that I bought This is one of our first adventures during the pandemic and Willie and Greg also did a great job with their Covid protocols I really can’t say enough great things about Moose Meadow Lodge Now we are thinking we need to try a winter vacation there😀

Corey W

Staying at Moose Meadow Lodge was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had staying anywhere around the country The location is absolutely beautiful, with walking trails, a pond, a gorgeous secluded property and so much more The best thing though is the hospitality of the owners, Greg and Willie

They made us feel welcome literally while we were still walking up the steps The amount of love and care they put into the property as well as ensuring their guests have a great time couldn’t be more evident They were also very accommodating to our 4 year old, and she is already asking to go back The breakfasts were some of the best I’ve had, incorporating local twists on familiar foods We stayed in the Mountain View room which was very comfortable and as the name suggests, offers beautiful views of Vermont’s Green Mountains It seems like good energy in general is drawn to this place, as we were lucky enough to be there for a surprise wedding, which I was happy to be able to be a (small) part of Next time we plan on checking out the Treehouse I feel no need to look for anywhere else to stay on future trips to Vermont as this place has everything I would look for and more in a hotel/B&BLooking forward to returning!

I had a wonderful stay here and plan to return many times! The room was beautiful, clean, and had a spectacular view of the mountains The bathtub is extra large and the water was the clearest water I’d ever seen Breakfast was WAY ABOVE my expectations

Truly one of the best spinach goat cheese omelettes I’ve ever had, and homemade yogurt with fresh fruits compote Toast, bacon…juice and great conversation!

We had the most delightful stay at High Hill Inn The home is quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable and and welcoming Ann Marie was so helpful with information, before our arrival and during our 2 night stay

And she can COOK! We had amazing home made breakfasts both mornings, with our breakfast table overlooking the beautiful, rolling yard in a wonderful area The Maple syrup served with French toast comes from just up the road! And coffee—really good, all-important coffeeThe drive to the home is lovely We would have liked to stay longer! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone

Harrison Prentice-Mott

Overall, the stay was great! Ann-Marie and Joe were excellent and attentive hosts The breakfasts they prepared were incredible, even the new experiments they tried They also used local ingredients and were excited to share where we would be able to find them

They were also a great resource for recommendations in the area, whether it be for restaurants, local sights, or other interestsBeyond all that, the view and atmosphere were wonderful, with a beautiful view from the room that provided the peace and relaxation we were looking for

We really enjoyed our stay here The staff was friendly and efficient The entire place including our room was very clean

Our bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows We had a very quiet and restful time here There was also plenty of parking There is also a very nice lounge/reading area along with a pool and jacuzzi next to it A complimentary breakfast is included which was well stocked with bacon, eggs, potatoes, breads, yogurt, cereal etc You could also make your own waffles; unfortunately when we were there a large family commandeered the machines and made it difficult for anyone else to make a waffles The only negative is you have a steep climb from the highway to the hotel but it’s certainly not a problem this time of year

The breakfast is incredible for a Best Western The person responsible for it was very friendly and is doing an awesome job fuelling us up in the morningFront desk staff was friendly

Rooms could have been a bit cleaner There was some dry puke on the bed cover under the clean linensThe pool is fantastic and very clean Again the employee responsible for the pool was very kindWill return and probably recommend

Nancy ndb

Nicest Best Western I’ve stayed in, and I was hesitant based on previous experiences w/this chain Clean, nice amenities including pool, social area, beautiful grounds with their own covered bridge and short hiking trail, dog friendly, no noise from other rooms, and even a motorcycle wash area Even with two weddings at 4pm check-in time, I got a courteous early check in

Good, free breakfast in a ‘restaurant’ atmosphere, though as is typical, coffee needs improvement My review would have been 5 stars but when I needed to add a day to my reservation, the extra day was over twice what I paid and I was told “I just can’t get you the same price” That was the 800 number and not the actual hotel, but annoying considering the hotel was not full

What a great place It is a beautiful lodge in the woods run by friendly music-loving innkeepers Our room had a record player with a collection of albums so we spent the evenings exploring the music but also spent time in the cozy living room talking with the owners and other guests

The hot breakfast in the morning is amazing and shouldn’t be missed

Amber Bruni

This is by far the best place to stay Duane and Leah go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and are enjoying your time If you don’t know what to do around the area, they love offering ideas of sites or places to go! The grounds are beautiful, and they have a wonderful pup who is so sweet and loves walking you through the trails

Every inch of decoration at the inn is so unique and tells a story Leah also makes THE BEST breakfast ever, seriously so delicious The merchandise shop is awesome and had so many different pieces to choose from! My only complaint is that we can’t live there forever Best place in Vermont, ever

I stayed here one night from July 29 to July 30 I had no idea they had no elevator I have bone spurs in my right knee which I just found out about from an x-ray on July 25, and so going up stairs is hard for me right now

The room was on the second floor and there was no elevator Luckily the staff were very obliging and helped me carry my bags upstairs I was given room 7 The carpet is dirty and worn and the bed is so high you nearly need steps to climb in it The shower stall in the bathroom has a glass door and is so small there is hardly any room to move around When going up and down the stairs I noted that the railing is rickety and shaky and you really have to be careful It is an accident waiting to happen If someone were to lose his or her balance and grab into the railing it would probably not hold The breakfast the following morning was pieces of breakfast quiche, individually wrapped in Saran wrap and just left on the table There were two Thermoses of coffee, a glass carafe of milk and one of orange juice kept chilled in a bucket of ice There were also pastries and English muffins, all individually wrapped in Saran wrap There were oranges and apples but the oranges looked awful with green rinds No attendant was available anywhere I will say this is an absolutely beautiful building with stunning architectural details suc pillars h as built in bookcases and shelves and cabinets, beautiful molding, etc, but the building dates from 1828 and the owners need to spend money putting in new carpets, fixing the staircase and improving the breakfast They also need to make some structural repairs; while sitting on the porch eating dinner I looked over and saw that the bottom of one of the concrete (I guess) white pillars has sustained some type of water damage and appears to be coming apart It is a terrible shame and I hope the owners soon are able to take care of these problems

Wanted to like this charming bnb but ultimately was disappointed For $250/night, there was nothing impressive and no reason to come back Fine, clean, and beautiful exterior, but had to chase down staff for any simple request — check in, check out, ice (the machine was inaccessible), and breakfast utensils

They were not eager to welcome or suggest area attractions, which is typically the joy of a bnb The breakfast was a very simple continental of pastries and fruit Wifi was down the whole time and when we notified staff they said it should be working and would look into it but it was never fixed Lovely local town to spend some time in, but would recommend sticking with an area hotel

Sought this location after a few Google searches as we are quite familiar with the Marriott brand of hotelsWe were visiting from Canada so Vermont was just an hour’s drive from homeShort overnight getaway with my wife, away from the kids, just us, and this was all that we needed

Warm, welcoming locationCourteous and available staffClean, comfy, ‘homey’ roomsGenerous breakfastEfficient amenities And just a stone’s throw from Main local attractions(shops, restaurants, Ben & Jerry’s production facility) If you’re looking for fun, excitement and confetti à la NYC/LA/Vegas – not the place or locationBut if you’re looking to disconnect in a no fluff, no fuss, cozy and delightful atmosphere to just relax a bit and forget the world for just a secthis location provided exactly what we needed

We’ve stayed here over 20 times over the past 5 years Service and cleanliness is consistent and excellent Beds are above average

Limited covered parking is a plus together with a few level 1 plugs for vehicle charging Also a plus is that 2 handicapped parking spaces are located in the covered parking making it much easier to unload a wheelchair or other equipmentOverall, a rock solid hotel with staff to rival any 5-star hotels

Greg Morris

I spend as much time in hotels, for work, as I spend at home It’s always a pleasant surprise when a stay stands out, for all the right reasons That was certainly the case with the stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Waterbury Stowe

Sarah and the staff made the stay! The room was wonderful The fireplace a nice touch The breakfast was notably above average They were accommodating in every way We were truly made to feel at home and we look forward to our return
