My husband and I stayed 1 night here but if we had more time we would’ve stayed longer! If ever in the area again we will stay here! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The hotel was exceptionally clean even though they are pet friendly and allow pets FOR FREE! Most hotels charge for all pets or charge if you have 2 or more pets, not here! We absolutely loved our stay!!

Our Group went fishing on Lake Ontario, and had to get a hotel for the first night before our cottage was available Hotel looks new, very clean, and didn’t smell musty at all Lisa at the front desk was just Awesome

She gave us a tooth brush, because we forgot one Lisa gave us suggestions for places to eat and we’re to buy some supplies We were long gone before sunrise so didn’t experience breakfast It’s the people that make your experience go smoothly and enjoyable We all highly recommend this hotel

We came to the area for a special event at a local church The rooms here were very large, which is great from an accessibility standpoint The pool was nice, if a tad small, with reasonable hours from 6 am to 10 pm

The breakfast was like most hotels, it had a reasonable amount of options and was kept fresh The staff was friendly and the place was very clean We would stay here again

carefree vacations

For the price we paid the rooms should not be in as bad of shape as they are The wall paper was thumb tacked back onto the wall There was mold in the bathroom and the living area ceiling

Not only that but it was obvious that the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in quit a long time as there was clumps of lint and fuzz all over I could get past all that for the one night we stayed there as we just needed a place to get a few hours of sleep But when we got in the shower in the morning there was a used bar soap and lots of hairs from someone else in there Clearly housekeeping didn’t finish cleaning this room I would not recommend this hotel On a positive note they did have a decent breakfast

I had an excellent restful stay in December 2021! Kayla who was the front desk staff I seen the most, was super helpful, friendly and answered any questions I had about my stay She even went the extra mile to help me set up the hotel app!! Susan who was morning staff at breakfast time, wrapped up some goodies I could take to go as I was in a bit of a rush that morning I appreciate all the extra time the staff I had in contact with during this stay, to make me feel welcome and at home! It was a bit of a stressful situation for me but I left feeling refreshed and very happy! I’m looking forward to my next stay here and hopefully with my entire family! : )

Due to staffing shortages many attractions and rides were closed This should really be fully disclosed online and in person before you are sold tickets as there’s no reduction in price for decreased access to the park facilities They made sure all their concessions and food places were thoroughly staffed to get that extra revenue but didn’t feel obligated to fully staff shows, rides etc

This obviously increases wait times and often rides were only utilizing one car per ride rather than multiple This all aside, the day was fun and everything else went fine for a great family day out

AshTravels

Overall, the park was lots of fun Not a lot of time spent waiting in line for rides on a Monday during the summer Most we probably had to wait was 15 minutes for a roller coaster

Water park was significantly busier as it was hot outside 3 of the big slides were broken/closed, which sucked, but oh well Everything else was open, and the shorter wait times made up for it Rides like ride of steel and tantrum you could just walk onto I do recommend eating before and after you get to the park instead of spending the money on the park food Wasn’t super worth the prices Wish they still had some shows too Seemed to have eliminated them after Covid Hours for the park could be a bit longer as well 11am-7pm on weekends is quite short for a theme park Enough time for us to go on all the rides for the most part, but not if the park happened to be busier Other then that, we had a fun time

Thomas Lyon

GREAT TIME! Went to the park for the first time in several years (COVID) and was pleasantly surprised Although the addition of significant security layers is palpable, it was long overdue We had a great time, felt safe, and even found some of the games to be priced lower than they ever were in the past

(Fascination!) Water park was fully staffed, which hasn’t always been the case This was a nice surprise! Looking forward to going back again and again

We booked this hotel so we had access to the pool on site We were never made aware that they were not keeping the pool open We were offered a $50 gift card for the amusement park

We were not here to go to an amusement park on a 90° day I do not recommend this hotel After speaking to two managers, we were basically told they can close the pool whenever they want and that we need to use the pool at the water park

Spensyr

I love staying in 2005, it was a great year Our room might not have been cleaned since 2015 because we found two laffy taffies under the couch that expired that year, and also a box of nerds This hotel could stand for a more modern renovation

It was alright though Not terrible Although, I spent $10 specifically for the Pokémon crane machine, just to find out the insert token slot was jammed I’m upset about that, but I understand the hotel staff couldn’t do much about that, it’s a second-party thing

Graffics76

We didn’t know what to bring for food because we had no clue about how to heat anything up In the room there was a small 4 cup coffee maker & larger size mini fridge, but down the hall there was vending machines, ice machine & a microwave I wish I knew about the microwave because it would’ve given us alot more options of food to bring

Still, we’re having a nice time

Nice hotel The staff was very friendly The facilities were clean

Our room was quite large but showing some signs of aging with wallpaper beginning to peel, some marks on the floor, and dirt & scuffs on the lounge chair Plus there were some cobwebs in the corner Also, there is no elevator so if you can’t schlep your luggage upstairs, you might want to contact the hotel directly in advance It wasn’t my favorite hotel that we’ve stayed in but I’d stay there again

Jacob Edwards

Our stay here was comfortable We had a slight problem when booking, but that was just a miscommunication, and was quickly fixed Checking in was a breeze, and the room was nice

It definitely isn’t an expensive hotel, but it didn’t feel super cheap The continental breakfast was pretty typical for a cheaper hotel It is close to Darien Lake Theme Park, which was nice My biggest complaint is that they don’t have an elevator, but the stairs are easily accessible Overall it was a pleasant stay

Jo-Anne Armstrong

This was not my first visit here I find this hotel to be clean, comfortable, and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating Our stay included breakfast and the choices were varied from choices of cereals, fruit, and yogurt to hot items and breads

It was well stocked and very enjoyable The only issue I had was the beds in the room were doubles instead of queens You don’t see that often anymore and for the cost (which is never cheap) it could have been better Overall though, our stay was very pleasant

Tried and tried to rent a room for 4 nights and a Saturday night for our daughter and son-in-law for their wedding night and could not get a return call We ended up at a very nice Airbnb in Warsaw and they went to Creekside Inn in LeRoy and couldn’t have been happier Too bad they advertise as a B&B as it appears they really are just a Friday evening restaurant and don’t even have the courtesy to return calls

My husband and I booked a few days here in November 2021 for a little “babymoon” The food, location, and service was incredible and I truly was blown away I haven’t stopped raving about what an amazing time we had

We brought our two little Yorkies with us and the owners treated all of us with respect and were SO caring! Even in November there was things to do – we found a bakery in Corfu, went to the Darien Country Cottage, stopped in Attica and took the dogs for a nice walk, and even tried going out to eat one night If we were to do it again, I would get all dinners at the River Spring Lodge – food was SOOOOOO good and so worth it! I loved having coffee delivered to my door every morning We pulled our chairs out on the balcony and enjoyed the sunrise while drinking our coffee The breakfast – so filling and so delicious! I love that they even give you a snack to hold you over until dinner The 4 course meal we only did one night, but the incredible amount of food you get one night was plenty lolThe room? Also AMAZING The bathroom has heated floors, the shower was gorgeous and made us feel like we were at an elite resort The bed was very comfy – they even had a bed for our dogs to relax on! We loved having our food delivered to the room and eating at a very nice table setup insideIf you are looking for a small getaway that isn’t too far from Buffalo or a bed and breakfast type of setting that really delivers – book this place We cannot wait to come back!!

The king suite was just that sweet It had a balcony with a patio set for seating overlooking the racetrack it was larger than my first apartment The sectional leather sofa was beautiful

It is perfect for a family traveling through the area with a separate bedroom Also it was exceptionally clean I stayed with my son and his girlfriend and they said the bed was like sleeping on a cloud

stacey brandon

Unfortunately the rooms are disgusting We enjoy this place so much, and unfortunately the last 3 times we’ve stayed we were given disgusting rooms The staff are very understanding and accommodating, but we will not be back to stay again

We are attending a family wedding in August and we plan to cancel our reservation and stay elsewhere

Disappointing after staying here countless times over the past 2 years for business I will not be coming back The only positive, Rachel was extremely helpful

The bad their management and response when they have BEDBUGS Let me make this clear, I am a diamond member at Hilton and have never once had bedbugs at their hotels I stay at Batavia Downs whenever I have business nearby since the rooms have been clean in the past I will no longer be coming back and definitely letting others know about this experience I stayed for 4 nights total, the first 3 nights in a suite trackview room, where I woke up every day with no issue The 4th night I had to switch rooms as I added it last minute I woke up the next day to 6+ bites on my ankles and arms The next day I checked with a doctor who confirmed they were consistent with bedbug bites When I left a voicemail for their manager I received no phone call back, but instead an email saying “thank you for the information” They claimed they found none in the room (right so it’s ghost bugs biting me) and didn’t even apologize??? Clearly their management forget how customer service works and now they definitely lost me as a customer and I will be sure to tell many others about this as well

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures The hotel was dirty There were burn holes and rips in the comforter

There were stains on the sheets The microwave stand looked like it been submerged in water for months They almost tried to charge extra for the water parkwhich was a joke The outdoor pool looked like a swamp and was not usable I would not stay here again

Shannon

My husband and i stayed overnight The room itself was large, very clean and the beds were comfy We slept well

Although the hallways smelled of stale smoke Everywhere except the room was very dirty, spider webs all over And very outdated The breakfast and coffee was not good But once again i was pleased with the room itself

Lauren Hughes

We should have read the reviews before we went booked this hotel Like others have mentioned, this hotel is well past its primeThe lobby appears nice, but once you pass that area and head to the elevators you may think I differently about your decision to stay here

The walls, doors, and carpets have many scratches, small holes, and other imperfectionsOur bed was clean, or so it appeared to be We slept okay, but with the state of the hotel the way it was, I’m unsure of the cleanliness of our bed and roomThe walls in our room had patches where previous holes were covered up Our tub was discolored and had hairs in itDo not stay here Stay literally anywhere else

We came up from the southern tier to try the casino and booked 2 nights in the jacuzzi It is FABULOUS!! The room is clean and neat, and very large The Bed is comfy! The Jacuzzi is wonderful! The Staff is very pleasant and nice

The Breakfast is fabulous I would love to stay again!!

Stephanie Walker

The hotel offers no-nonsense rooms The bed was comfortable and the room was clean The only issues I encountered were a musty smell upon entering the room

It seemed to dissipate once the air conditioning was turned on The air conditioning units are the older models near windows, not a thermostat But room cooled nicely and stayed pleasant The shower is nice but water pressure is low and there is no way to adjust it The breakfast ends at 9am, so wake early to grab itLocation is also convenient Reasonable price We stayed one night and would stay here again! (We traveled with a puppy and had to pay a $25 pet fee—but worth it Also, if you have allergies to dogs, don’t stay here If you need a pet friendly hotel, this is it!)

Kirk Swan

Overall I enjoyed my stay here This is a basic, middle of the road hotel As such, the price should be middle of the road too

I feel like the price was a little steep for what you get (we paid almost $300 for a single night) With that said, the place is in a great location and the desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming I’d stay here again if the price was right
