Stayed at this location due to its proximity to the Renaissance Faire I had booked online, informed the property I was bringing my service dog, and requested 4 extra pillows in my room (I am disabled) The pillows were not in the room

When I arrived to check in, the young man tries to charge me a pet service fee (against the company’s policy, and against ADA) I informed him you can not charge for service animals, to which he told me I still needed to sign the pet-fee paperwork agreeing to the service charge I annotated on the bottom of the paper that the animal was a service animal When the front desk gentleman saw what I had written, he told me “oh, I’m sorry You were supposed to sign the electronic version of the form instead” That form didn’t have anywhere to add in “service animal”, it just auto fills in your initials on all their pet fee agreementsOur room: the sheets had black fuzz all over them, one of the pillows had red dot stains that look like blood drops The room also smelled so strongly like mildew, it took almost 3 hours of running the AC to make it tolerableThe pool/hot tub: holy chlorine batman I think maybe a chemical test needs to run on the pool and hot tub after we were done swimming, we were so itchy from the residual chlorine left on our skin It felt like being stung by ants Even after 2 showers, it was still pretty badThe only redeeming quality this hotel has is: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! It is right in the parking lot of Gurnee Mills

I am disabled and have a service dog to help with my pain I 1st went to Rodeway Inn on Green Bay Road and the desk person refused follow the ADA law for service animals even though my dog had her service tagSo I went to Comfort Inn & Suites because their price was one of the lowest in the area

Dakota was the person on night duty He was very kind & polite, a complete opposite of the other hotel He had no problem accepting my service dog & de had a 1st floor room close to the front so I didn’t have to walk farI was surprised at how nice the room was It appeared to have been updated not too long ago The furniture was all in excellent shape, had a fridge & microwave The hotel is in a busy area next to the tollway but there way no noise inside the room from all the trafficAnd the best thing about the room was the bed! It was so comfortable I usually have a difficult time sleeping at hotels because of my back pain It the bed here was excellentOver all my stay was wonderful, better than I expectedI would highly recommend Comfort Inn & Suites & I will stay there again

I would’ve given this place a 5 star, had it not been for 2 thingsThe guy that checked is in was stuck on “how educated he was at his job” He missed the idea of customer service

We were exhausted after being on the road , we are truck drivers He wanted to make sure that we knew the policy on credit cards when another party is paying and is not present at check in He took it to a point of being argumentative about the possibility of fraud, continually over talked me which was so rude2nd- we had to park a couple of blocks away in The Brat lot, due to the construction in the parking lot that we were not made aware of Again, really inconvenientThe room was clean & nice size, bed was nice Other than that, nothing to grandThe woman at check out was a belle! Simply wonderful!

Brittney Longmire

I don’t even know where to start I booked on choices app, and the hot tub was down They didn’t advertise that it was down, said it was avail and a pool

I asked the front desk lady, she was very rude… (It’s been down for a year, maybe you should look at the websiteThe room was dirtyThe breakfast wasent that great

The Smitty

Went to check in on 7/14 and upon arrival the front desk person was outside as I was walking in He asked “are you checking in” and I said “yes” He said “well let me see if your room is ready because it might not be”

The time was later than 130pm My train was very late getting in After looking at a monitor for 2 seconds he said “your rooms not ready” He didn’t call the cleaning ladies to find out how long it would be and just said come back at 3pm which I understand is check in time I explained to him that I am a diamond elite member and I requested a 2pm check out He said he could do 1pm and would have to see how the reservations worked out and let me know I again explained to him that I am a diamond elite member which means I stay at IHG Properties a lot He did not care and honestly his customer service skills were off right from seeing him at the door Like I said, I’ve stayed at numerous IHG properties and I’m always greeted with a good evening or good morning, once they check me in they thank me for being a diamond elite member and remind me of points that I would get, sometimes even a bottle of water I walked past that lobby to go out at least 6 times and not a person at that desk opened their mouth to say anything Only the breakfast lady spoke When I checked out the same guy was at the desk and when I put my keys in the return he didn’t say “thank your for your stay or have a good day” and I checked out today With that being said the conditions of the rooms were very dated, patched up holes in the walls, chipped paint and the sofa bed look like it was picked up off a street corner Definitely will not stay at this holiday inn express again

That Girl

Good location, in hotel row near a few decent places to eat or Walmart walkable

Affordable rates, indoor pool, decent breakfast Bedding linens a bit dingy and tattered That old synthetic cheap kind that cling to you when u sleep… owner should upgrade, they are horrible to sleep under But staff was friendly, all in all a pleasant stay

Mo Lawal

This was by far my worst experience in ANY hotel ever! Check-in was horrible: received key cards to room that was broken The cleaning ladies were VERY helpful in getting us situated I honestly will never book her even for free

I understand it’s hard to deal with the public but you get paid to do a job I also found ants in our room I was so disgusted with my initial service I refused to bring the problem up to the front desk and went to the local store and bought some insects killer Outside of having a great location this was definitely not the best of what Holiday Inn should be

The staff (front desk, maintenance, and household) was very friendly and extremely helpful The rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy When asking for more blankets they were more than accommodating

It was a very homey type feel The front desk concierge made us feel welcomed and even gave us a great tip on where to get some good deep dish Chicago pizza It was a 10 minute drive to the Naval Academy and not far from Six Flags Walmart is right around the corner and there were many places close by to grab something to eat I would definitely come back and stay again

I would give the customers service here no stars but you can’t But first I would like to thank Hailey the GM of this place for her rude and disrespectful customer service Thank you Hailey for canceling my paid for reservations which lead me to spending an extra $1200

00 because you didn’t like the fact that we didn’t want the rooms by the office Thanks Hailey for throwing our cards at us Thanks Hailey for refusing us and refusing to let us rebook our rooms I now know what it must of felt like back in the 30s, 40s, and 50s Thanks Hailey because of you I was able to avoid rachetness!!! She has her employees job scared to speak up for what’sright (Blake) Thanks Hailey because of you I found somewhere more desirable to stay Thank you Hailey for this awful experience… People please do not stay here Its not worth it Better Room or down the street and I would rather sleep in my car Peace

Amazing hotel Management is so stellar ! The experience with customer service made me feel as if I was at a Four Seasons Hotel I was not expecting such a large indoor swimming pool area and the hot tub is simply massive

Love the colorful murals in the guest rooms tooWe will be returning soon

Janet Kohl

Other than the nice clerk at check in, the hotel was sub par The room did not have sheets for the couch bed and no mattress pad (unsanitary) The phone didn’t work, so we had to go get them at front desk

The shower curtain was ripped and the TV didn’t work The breakfast was a mob scene with no refills of food and coffee was empty At check out I told the new clerk and she didn’t seem to care about any of it She said the satellite dish had bad reception and some channels don’t work I told her none worked No discount offered, nor other accommodation For $220/night, plus taxes, I expect a working TV and coffee!!

Elizabeth

I called ahead and was told both rooms I booked would be ready, next to each other Checking in at 4 I was told they weren’t ready pillows on the bed looked clean, but smelled of oily sweaty heads laid on them, Garbage cans on property flowing over

Pool had several clumps of hair on the floor next to pool, dead bugs floating in the hot tub Colony of small ants in one of our rooms Other room several lamps and bathroom lights lightbulbs burnt out Spider webs in bathroom I witnessed several different people staying at the hotel complaining to the front desk, one had a water stain on the ceiling looked like possible pipe burst, another person saying they never vacuumed their room and smelt like cigarettes as they just checked into their room, and another complaining to the maids their sink was backed up This hotel is listed as a 2 star hotel, should be 1 star They are no longer called Antioch Inn, I passed the hotel up as its now called Clarion Point, no one informed me of the name change I will NOT be staying at this place EVER AGAIN!!!

We had the need to plan a last min reception for my mother in law who had passed away The staff was willing to get it planned and set We had a buffet in the card room that is across from the restaurant bar

It was beautiful and the food was so delicious We arrived an hour early and the staff found a way to accommodate us until our food was ready Top notch staff, food and beautiful space at the Stella BRAVO!!! 🙌🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me And My Family had the Best Experience with Fairfield By Marriott , the staff were always polite and welcoming The Continental Breakfast was Really A Good Variety, My granddaughter loves waffles so she really enjoyed them Our Suite was Really Big I was surprised that the room had a couch that lets out to a bed

Me And My Family Will Definitely Be Coming Back Again

Ariena

I’m only leaving this review because I walked in to drop off a door dash and the lady at the front desk had the worst attitude not sure maybe she was tired but still I even told her have a great night and she hesitated to say it back than said it with such lack of wanting to say it Not sure but if your in the Hospitality business regardless what time it is and whether it’s a guest walking in or not you should be so rude especially when I was trying to be very nice and polite to her

I definitely wouldn’t book a room here if that’s the kind of service I would be given as a guest

Pat G

First time at this hotel & I DO NOT RECOMMEND I left an hdmi with an iPhone adapter & my bikini when I checked out Neither item was turned in

Before checking out I was cleaning up & left the my phone in the room & when I went back for it the male housekeeper was taking it out from his pocket!! Managers never reached out to communicate Very bad experience for the first time visiting We definitely will not being coming back!!

Staff was friendly, location was great, room was clean but only small complaints The room had a odor, like a moldy odor, I went to Walgreens nearby to get a candle because the odor was not pleasant One more thing was the bugs, there’s insects and bugs coming out of the heat and AC vents so I didn’t turn it on because I didn’t want to get a room full of insects

If These things improved or someone sealed the vents and cleaned out the vents, made improvements to the smell, this hotel would be great! Thank you!

The hotel itself is ok However, the front desk staff was exceptional I usually stay at five star hotels when I travel which is very often

Although this hotel is definitely not a five star the staff is I believe the front desk person’s name is Diane I stayed here nearly a week Every time I passed by the front desk she was asking how I was doing and whether she could do anything to make it better There was also a cohort of her with this beautiful ring that was also outstanding These two made my stay above average

The service was great the rest of our stay was drab Stayed on the first floor There were very few guests so it was quiet

We ending up keeping the curtains closed as there was a lot of garbage scattered outside our windowOur room was basically empty and not very welcoming The beds were rough and the bed frame clanked any time you moved Mattress definitely needs replaced- no bugs but still not in the best or cleanest shape Seeing that the bathroom was somewhat recently redone was refreshingThe pool is tiny and unfortunately during our stay was full of garbage We kept pulling out piece of broken plastic cupsThe location isn’t the best and the entrance into parking lot is TERRIBLE but I don’t think that really part of this specific hotel Overall I don’t think I’ll be booking here again

Lorena Davis

Room was very clean It looks like they are in the process of updating the rooms Some things looked really new while the carpet was worn out

But I was just happy to have a nice clean room The beds are decent Not as comfortable as home, but definitely not too bad for an affordable hotel The pool is saltwater, which was a nice surprise Staff was super friendly and personable Location is awesome too Next to Dunkin Donuts which is a must, and a short distance from Gurnee Mills and Great America Breakfast looked great! They had biscuits and gravy and they had waffle irons out Unfortunately, I was in a hurry in the morning and didn’t have a chance to try it I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights and the kids really enjoyed this place The location is convenient right off of the expressway and the lodge was very clean Just like any other business, they are short on staff due to the lack of workers however, their customer service and patience was exceptional

We arrived early and our room was ready Yes the line to check in was long due to the mobile app being down but again, just get there early and be patient and understanding Their front desk staff was very helpful and knowledgeable once you check in to make sure you have all the details you need for your stayThe room was outstanding! The kids had their own cabin like area which they were super excited about and it was spacious enough for the adult section There were plenty of towels and we needed an iron which I was able to ask for through the app and they brought it right upThroughout the stay they sent chat messages asking how everything was going which I thought was great The water park was super clean and the kids loved every minute of it Super convenient to have everything on the wristband so you do not have to worry about losing anything and it was super safe and cashless All in all, if you have children 12 and under they will love this place! We cannot WAIT to go back!!

Berry Torres

Celebrated my daughters 3rd birthday here this past weekend It was a very busy Wait times for food was quite long (roughly 45-1 hour) but understandable with place being short staffed and it being a busy weekend

Food was fresh and pretty good Don’t recommend the Cesar salad Was extremely small for the price and didn’t like the Caesar dressing or the cherry tomatoes (weird for a Caesar) Drinks were great from the bar inside pool area Same bartender I’ve seen past few times we’ve gone and he’s always really great Life guards watch kids like a hawk and constantly check pools, slides and lazy river They made us feel more at ease and safe with our little ones swimming Checkin and checkout was pretty smooth Loved the birthday package we purchased and the cake was delicious Sense I’m really honest with my personal reviews, I really wanted to give 5 stars because I really like going there with my family However day of checkout, we decided to go for our last swim and grab a bite before heading out We sat on chairs close to the lazy river and I seen 2 bugs (cockroaches) scattering next to the garbage can Can say I lost my appetite and we left shortly after Still gave 4 stars for our overall experience and enjoyment prior to that

Aaron Williams

The family absolutely enjoyed every minute we were there My son loved the climbing wall and ropes course and especially the water slides My daughter turned the lazy river into the racing river

Worth every penny The new package for everyone in your room to have unlimited climbing wall, ropes course, bowling, and putt putt is a great deal Definitely plan on going back in the future

Extremely friendly staff, especially Becka walking distance to CTCA but they also provide shuttle services every 20 minutes If you are a light sleeper make sure you ask for the parking side room not the street side

Most rooms air conditioner doesn’t meet the standards of someone from Texas 🙂 The water pressure could be a bit better but overall very pleasant experience There are only three handicap spots sharing with several other businesses so expect to either be dropped off by someone caring for you or plan to walk a pretty great distance

Great location Good restaurants near by Coffee shop on site

Rooms were clean and comfortable It was quiet Good view Price was a little high in relation to accommodations, but not extremely high They also offer a chill meeting room Good for business or romantic travel But if travelling alone I would select a different hotel

Had an extended stay at this residence inn, the staff were all wonderful, friendly and accommodating I’d like to specifically mention Miriam the breakfast host- she was a highlight of my stay! Always so friendly, kind and thoughtful She clearly put so much love into her work and it shows

She made my mornings a little brighter! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, not only for cleanliness but for superior hospitality

I have been staying at this location weekly since January 2022 The staff has been nothing short of incredible and welcoming In particular, the night lead, Jared, has been very kind and thoughtful, ensuring my stay is the best it can be

He even goes the extra step to include things like extra water and towels, upgrades when possible, and evening putting out my favorite candy in the front desk candy dish when I am there! The rooms are very clean, the property is well-kept, and the breakfast areas are safely maintained While I initially chose to stay there due to it being close to my work location, I now regularly go back there because they truly take care of me I recommend staying here if you are in need of a long-term stay option!

Quality hotel What truly makes this a 5/5 stay verus any other Marriott hotel is the INCREDIBLE staff In particular, Miriam (the breakfast host/chef) has the best hospitality and kindest soul Some mornings I would arrive after the breakfast was closed from an overnight shift at the hospital and she would save me a breakfast sandwich in a bag to make sure I didn’t miss out

She is something special!!

Heya Howdy

I had a horrible experience just trying to book a room for this weekend My son is graduating from boot camp and my ex-husband and I wanted to get separate rooms in the same hotel so the kids could go back and forth from room to room I booked a 2 night stay on their website, and got an email verifying so

4 days after booking my room I called to check on something and was told my reservation could not be located The hotel could not even find my info using my confirmation number After 3 different people and 30 minutes of wait time, I was told my reservation was cancelled the same day I booked it No answer as to why or by whom I didn’t cancel it The hotels system obviously had made a mistake or error Without trying to help me or offer any customer service whatsoever, I was told the hotel was now fully booked and I had to look elsewhere Even tho I still had my email showing when and what I had previously booked! How sad they didn’t even offer any help at all! Luckily I was able to find a room at another hotel close by My ex-husband said they had also messed up his reservation but he was able to fix it in time Please be VERY careful of booking on line with them If you do take that chance please follow up after doing so I will not be booking with them again as I’ve seen how they handle their own customer service issues

We came here because my son was graduating from The Navy Boot Camp which was 15 minutes away The rooms were very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful I came a second time to visit about a month later and had arrived early

My room was not ready yet so they offered me an upgraded room so I can get in a room instead of waiting in the lobby for a few hours I was very happily surprised and very comfortable There are stores and restaurants literally across the street so that was pretty handy too Very nice place and Devan at the desk was very helpful and friendly I highly recommend!! Plus great complimentary breakfast spread in the morning

People are friendly Location is great But if your stay in long then get ready to clean your own room

I had asked for a cleaning for the room on the 3rd day, since I had 2 kids and 2 dogs But they said no, and gave me sheets So I had to make my own beds It was disappointing There was NO point in cleaning the room the day before I was checking out I would not stay here again

We stayed there over Aug 5-6 The food was hot, staff where very nice Room had a little small but it was only when we flushed the toilet

So I believe it’s the city’s water We had a room next to the pool for the most part it was quite Pool seemed busy most of the time We never used it as to it was always busy when we where not at the Ren fair But when we booked we also didn’t book because of a pool So wasn’t that big of a deal we didn’t us it Room was clean bed/blanket where clean!

Breakfast was good – offering both cold and hot items – the selection was limited but filling, though we all (other guests too) had to keep asking for items as they kept running out due to having many patronsWe needed additional towels one evening, and initially were denied and told there were no towels available We desperately needed new towels (we cleaned up a spill in the room earlier in the day and now had a guest in the room physically ill from a migraine and had hoped to take a bathe/shower with a dry and clean towel) – I had to actually explain why I needed additional towels – after explaining the issue – then I given a few small towels that go on the floor to step on after a shower and were told they were hand towels – when I pointed this out – the front office clerk reluctantly and eventually were provided 2 small bath towels and he did not do so with a smile but made us feel like we were putting him out and really did not deserve the towels

Initially, he literally told us that they did not have any clean towels to give us — and this was after 9 or 10 pm I found it hard to believe that they had no clean towels in the entire hotelOur room had a bit of a musty smell, which I could have over looked, but I guess the whole towel issue and how I was treated was the finally breaking pointWe traveled over 8 hours to stay the weekend to visit a sick family member, so we were already stressed and just wanted to have some clean towels for after our showersOh, and you need to let the front office know by 8am if you will be needing any room cleaning etc We found a small piece of paper in the room on the evening of the second day – after the towel issue – stating that information So, I guess if you are staying – ask when you arrive for clean towels for the next day – just in case you need them I had no idea at 8 am that we would have a spill in the bathroom and that one of the guests in the room would develop and significant migraine
