This is a at home away from home place to stay ! The rooms are really big ! The rooms are super clean, I could not have cleaned them better myself ! I felt safe to have my family stay there Unlike most other hotels, they have a pool which opens up at 7 AM and is open until 10 Pm ! Their complementary breakfast is the best ! SO many choices to choice from Buffet style breakfast plus so much more ! 24 hour gym, ( so if your like me, you can get up super early and workout while no one else is likely to be there ) Very friendly staff ! Very welcoming ! Family oriented and clean !

Stayed overnight for a little get away Room was spotless ,the breakfast was great, loved the location, my water view was ok not sure I would pay the extra to get it again The staff is very helpful and nice

It was my first time using a digital key on phone once I got the hang of it was super easy worked great and you can send the key to your other guest so they can have it on their phone to use that was nice I would say the only inconvenience was the parking paying $1000, guess you can park on the street for free if you can find a spot , overall it was a great stay will be going back

Jenneene Bates

Chanelle at the front desk was absolutely fabulous She was so friendly and helpful from our arrival until our departure The hotel is in a wonderful location, close to many attractions

The outside beer garden was great The only problem was the water pressure in the bathroom shower and the drains in the tub and sink drained very very slow Also, the pillows were horrible

Crystal J.

My husband, myself and our 4 children had a great stay Great location, pool was nice, staff was overall all kind (the lady at our 9pm check-in seemed “bland” if you will) and the room was awesome We got the room with the 2 person whirlpool and it’s a MUST! Teenagers went to the pool, while the babies went “swimming” in the whirlpool

Also made for a nice relaxing evening after the kids went to bed Would highly recommend!

This attached hotel to Splash Lagoon had a great, free, daily breakfast The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable Depending on which end you brought the curtain to, there was a big open gap on the other end due to not enough shower curtain to cover the whole rod

Signage from/to Splash Lagoon from/to the hotel is BAD It’s VERY easy to get confused, turned around, and end up in another attached hotel Signs could really use updating, making them all bigger and brighter, and easily seen and read by adults and children too We had an overall good stay, and would recommend nights here while enjoying Splash Lagoon

Chasity Shinkovich

Tried taking showers in the evening, there was no hot water at all! Front desk says to let it run for 15-20 min to get hot water! Did not work Then the water was running behind the wall & leaking out onto the floor & not just from our room but also the room above us Bathroom was almost constantly wet! Mold growing in the showers

Exposed outlets with a non-working alarm clock plugged into it Some breakfast items were stale & juice machine was only turned on during breakfast

Honestly expected a little more The Hilton Garden Inn ERIE PA Was rated pretty highly and the nightly room cost was on the above average side when it comes to cost vs some of the other hotels in the areaI liked that our room was ready and I could go straight in with our room key

The room itself was fine, nice sitting area and the beds were comfortable enoughWe did notice that even though the room was “ready” for us, when we got inside there was only a quarter of a roll of toilet paper on the roll and the second roll next to it was empty, as such we had to go downstairs and get more from the front desk A Small detail sure, but a pretty important one when it comes to staying in a room with 4 peopleAlso the Pool was a big draw for us as my kids love to swim The Pool area was fine but the pool itself is on the small side and when we swam there in the morning ( about 9am ) there were no clean towels in the pool area and the linen basket was full from the previous day with dirty towels Again not a huge issue but enough to knock it down a ratingBreakfast was fine, but for the “Continental Breakfast” they offer I feel like $10 per person is a little steep for the small selection on offer, we didn’t feel like the hassle but if Breakfast is important to you maybe go to one of the many choices outside the hotel within a very short distanceClean hotel, but I feel like for the nightly room cost the standards should be a little higher

This place has the worst beds I have slept in in years The bags are incredibly stiff and they are broken down They all lean toward the wall

It’s a real shame because other than having the worst beds in a hotel that I’ve been in and a long time, this is a nice location and a nice hotelPlease get new beds for new mattresses at least

Shawn Jeppson

Everything was clean and nice but the bed was sagging and the pillows were flat The point of a hotel is a place to sleep and I didn’t sleep well due to the condition of the bed Also freeway noise was bothersome but not enough to keep me awake or anything

I must say that Hilton’s customer service is really responsive For that I am adding 1 star I contacted them at the link they provided below and they apologized for the condition of the bed and promised to look into it To be fair I like a firm mattress so my opinion may be somewhat skewedOverall the hotel lived up to the standards of what I expect from Hilton It was just the mattress that I found lacking

The staff was very helpful Sara, Kyle, and Samantha at the front desk were all great! The handicap rooms with 2 queen beds do not have a roll in shower so be prepared for a low bathtub and shower chair We were late rising in the morning and the cleaning staff was very pleasant about still servicing our room

Very convenient location to go to the casino

John H

This hotel had a large, clean, comfortable (and cool on a HOT Summer day) room for me to sleep 12 hours in after a long day outsideConvenient location, right off the 90, across from casino AND a great breakfast buffet with free coffee all dayThe desk and dining staff were professional, proficient and personable

The price was right at just about $100 with taxes on a Thursday nightI’m definitely going to be staying here again

Elias Berdes

Bloodstains on the sheets in my room as well as other family members rooms , staff didn’t clean the room but instead hung the do not disturb sign so they could be lazy and not do there job and you know CLEAN THE ROOM That happened for the whole stay Way over priced for lack of amenities ( pool, better tv and channel selection, etc)

Stains everywhere on the walls, The clock in the room was totally destroyed upon arrival Overall do yourself a favor and pass on this hotel and select a better one even if it costs a little more trust me it’s worth the investment

I stayed here recently for business The well furnished room was clean and the staff were all very friendly (for the most part) The view is absolutely beautiful whether you’re facing the lake or the marina

My only critique would be that I had to wait an hour for my room to be available despite arriving after check in time I could tell from the lobby that I wasn’t the only one A lot of travelers come in weary so it’s a really warm welcoming when we’re able to access our room right awayBeyond that, it was a great stay

Hannah Szuch

We came here to have a nice dinner, but we did NOT stay at the hotel So I’m leaving a review for the restaurant only! I CAN say that the food was EXCELLENT, HOWEVER the portions are VERY SMALL for the price they charge! A chicken sandwich with fries ended up being about 17$s I ordered shrimp pasta (Which was delicious,) but it came in a bowl the size of a small side salad

Then we ordered “New York Style” cheesecake I couldn’t believe that our waitress could serve us something so SMALL! It was like they cut the cheesecake into 12 instead of 6 slices, and didn’t have the height of any “New York style cheesecake” that IVE EVER SEEN! They charged about 8$s for that! Would I go back? Probably not Just because we weren’t even full after dinner WITH dessert! I hope that the Sheraton reads this, and they make their portions larger! It was just ridiculous!

Very Enthusiastic Gardener

They do not have daily room service Room was showing wear We were told this location is due for a remodel which explains a lot

Staff was very friendly As far as location, you just couldn’t beat it We had a room with a view of the Bay and sunsets Was within walking distance of the Bicentennial Tower which is a beautiful stroll Has an observation deck for 360 degree viewing Overall, the hotel was nice and centrally located for driving around Erie I’d recommend it!

We had a long drive to Erie PA due to road closures and fog and heavy rain When we reached the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised with friendly night staff who helped us settle into our roomThe night staff provided us with extra sheets and let us know there was hot water for tea and coffee available for us

Breakfast in the morning was good and the staff had a nice smile and was attentive to making sure all the trays were replenishedThe location was good as well… close to Millcreek Mall and other outlet stores A lot of parking at the hotel The area also felt safe late at night

Gregg F.

Overall the stay was nice and the service was good My family and I stayed in a suite for three days while we visited the area My only complaint was the cleanliness of the room

The carpeted section of the floor was so dirty that it turned your feet black if you walked around barefoot in the roomMy family enjoyed the breakfast and the pool I would stay again, but hope the carpets get cleaned soon

B TS316

Zero stars On a family trip and they, “over sold” My room had been booked for several days in advance and I checked in digitally the day prior, this was not a last minute issue

Rather than contacting me proactively, they wait to tell me upon arriving at the hotel This is after delaying my arrival more than 2 hours as my room was appearing as not yet ready They offered a different room type which would not work for my situation I was able to cancel without charge (geez, thanks a lot Hilton, such a grand gesture) I now will be driving home with a family for multiple hours rather than a place to sleep tonight Have never had such a terrible experience at a Hilton brand hotel Feel like I’ve been dupedthis cant be a Hilton, can it? Cannot describe enough how upset I am with this hotel and how they managed this situation I wish I had further recourse beyond angry posting this review To this point I have been a loyal Hilton customer and I hope someone with actual authority sees this

Overall I’d give this stay a 95/10! Every single staff member we interacted with smiled at us and were very polite I feel like you could get more bang for your buck room wise, but it was clean and the bathroom was clean as well

The breakfast was hot & there is a huge selection in my opinion Usually hotels only offer waffles and cereal but this hotel offered cereal, waffles, hash browns, fruit, and even more The pool is cool, but it’s only about 3 ft deep and it’s not too big, so it gets packed easily The water slide is awesome The breakfast staff were exceptionally polite and even offered to give me a to go box My only complaint would be that check out is 11am, and housekeeping knocked on our door 3 times between 10-11 so it did make me feel a bit rushed Overall, hotel is clean, the indoor pool is fun, and the staff is very polite

G Shelt

This hotel is along a travel route in Northern Pennsylvania There is nothing around it which means that, for the most part, it is a place people stop to sleep on their way to their next destinationI booked this hotel (instead of our normal hotel chain where we are Diamond members) because of its great reviews for their pool “water park” feel

I thought that, after a long day of travel, my kids would enjoy swimming and playing in their pool areaWe arrived at 8:55 and saw that the pool closes at 9pm In the summer, it is still daylight at 9pm, so we were shocked (and very disappointed) that the pool area would close so early As this is a one night hotel stop along our journey, we are not able to stay and swim in the morning when the pool opens at 9amMany other hotel facilities offer pool hours of 7am-10pm or laterDisappointing doesn’t begin to describe my sentimentIn all fairness, the room was decent Not nearly $250 worth of decent, but it was a place to sleep (without any pool fun)The door shut and locked, so safety wasn’t a concern, but there was a small gap in the door to the hallway so you could look straight through the door jamLoved the soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner providedOverall, a safe place to stay if you plan to arrive well before 9pm so the kids can enjoy the “great pool and mini water park” amenities they boast about

Beverly Libell

We had a great stay!!! After not being able to find a nice hotel room in Erie for under $200/night, we decided to drive a little farther The pool was amazing and included a lot of fun activities for the kids! I would recommend bringing a small inner-tube for the small lazy river area that has jets to push you The pool also included a nice hot tub area, buckets spilling, slide for toddlers, mushroom and large enclosed slide

The motel is incredibly organized and friendly I was so impressed with the staff, continual cleaning and small touches such as complimentary fruit infused water and coffee available 24/7 Our room was clean and the breakfast was massive; pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, eggs, hash browns, biscuits, gravy, sausage, cereal, muffins, bagels, cinnamon rolls, coffee & tea (Apples were the only fruit) Nicely done Holiday Inn, one of our best motel stays

We had an amazing stay here We got taken care by Melissa who is a phenomenal individual and really catered to our needs and requirements She went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable and we were free of any complaints

We were only there for 4 nights I would highly recommend this place All staff members are extremely nice and the place itself was very clean

Mark Karas

A decent room for what i paid It’s an older hotel but in good shape Most everything worked in the room and the staff was nice

2 out of 3 laundry machines worked ($175 ea, wash and dry) The water pressure in the shower was ridiculously strong and actually hurt It’s rare I complain about high water pressure but this is like 10x stronger than a normal shower Most of the outlets in the room were worn out so I had to search for ones that would charge my stuff reliably The TV didn’t have FS1 and FS2 Plenty of parking and there’s a big open lot next door that some trucks parked in

Bobby Cherry

The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Erie is a good hotel with a convenient location in ErieI have had generally good stays here The front desk staff is always incredibly kind and nice

Overall, the hotel is clean I’ve had some minor cleanliness issues on past stays But they’ve been mostly issues that could be quickly corrected by me or the staff But I would recommend cleaning high-touch surfaces on your own if that’s something that would get to you as it does meI saw another comment mention this, but the water pressure is incredible Many hotels always seem to have light water pressure but this one has shower jets that are forceful It’s a welcome surprise!Of note, most of the rooms I’ve stayed in have had air quality issues when using the air conditioning system If you have allergy or sinus issues, I recommend a travel-size humidifier or cold compresses And bring some over-the-counter sinus/allergy medicineI’ve had some issues with Wi-Fi connectivity So, if you’re looking to work remotely from the hotel, be prepared for some slow connections And the same goes if you’re connecting a Chromecast to the TV — with the slow Wi-Fi, streaming can be an issueThe breakfast offers a good selection of usual breakfast foods It’s always a win for me because they have bagels, cream cheese and apple juice They seem to provide a variety of breads, cereals, milk, fruit and prepackaged breakfast sausage sandwichesThe indoor pool and outdoor patio area are nice The pool is open until midnight and offers a 10 pm to midnight adult-only swimThe location is perfect for people looking to visit Millcreek Mall since it’s right on site I don’t recommend walking to the mall because there are no sidewalks but it is a very quick 1 or 2-minute driveThe hotel is also close to Interstate 90 and Interstate 79, offering easy access to Presque Isle State Park, the casino, Waldameer Park, the airport, Downtown Erie and the BayfrontI’ve recommended this hotel for friends with kids and couples without kids It’s also dog-friendly, though I am unsure of the specifics of having a dog thereThe TownePlace Suites by Marriott Erie is a good option when looking for a place to stay in Erie I recommend giving it a try!

Pros:Alexis at the front desk is amazing! Everyone was extremely friendlyOur jacuzzi room was ready earlyLocation was great and very convenient

Cons:There were a few smashed grapes laying on the jacuzzinot a big dealThere was something sticky splashed on the mirror in the bathroomThere was also a pillow case that had blood on it Again, not a big dealwe just didn’t use that pillow There were 4 others to choose fromThe pool was freezing!!!!Other than that, this place was very comfy Would def stay there again in the future

Steve Richards

Came here because my 4 year old twin girls wanted to swim in March This hotel decided to put shock in their pool and hot tub in the middle part of the day, closing everything Breakfast was horrible unless you like toast

Eggs were fake and horribleTasted they were made from powder mixture Never had bad eggs before Their biscuits and gravy Biscuits were like rocks Couldn’t eat that Waffles were gone by 8am Couldn’t eat that Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in Definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone

Heather George

Even though this is a fairly newer hotel, you would never know that Seems as they were having water and pipe problems when we were there two days ago Our room smelled terrible, had a stain on the floor, the tub did not drain at all

And I’m not even sure if the sheets were changed because when I pulled the sheets back there was a few crumbs and pieces of dirt Sheets didn’t even smell clean We checked out and didn’t even stay…it just felt dirty HOWEVER, they did refund us, and the staff that night was friendly and welcoming It is a little on the small side compared to other places Pool was broken so I can’t review on that

The room was up to the usual standard for this chain There was a clock in the room and a fan in the bathroom The staff were friendly and observed professional safety standards

Breakfast had decent choices for a hotel breakfast The lounge was spacious and would work if a larger family group was staying at the hotel The pool area was nice and spacious The hotel was easy to reach from the interstate I recommend it

Sarah B

Took a short trip to Erie for a midweek trip Country Inn and Suites is our new favorite place to stay The day we arrived it rained and the indoor pool and hot tub was the perfect place to hang out

The location is perfectly located near tons of stores and restaurants Breakfast was always clean and well stocked The front desk was also helpful whenever we needed extra towels

Heather Filippone

We were given a joining rooms which is really helpful since I travel with small children The breakfast was stocked and cleaned often I have stayed here before so when we were traveling for basketball and cheerleading which both happen to be in Erie, so I had several friends book their stays here as well

They gave me the flexibility of a later checkout since I was running back-and-forth between two sports and didn’t have enough time to pack up before check out Great job staff see you this time next year!

Stayed here for the first time and the lobby was very clean and organized! The staff member greeted me immediately and got me checked in The service was good, had enough towels and face towels for me, my husband and daughter Only thing is I wish the hotel provided a floor mat for the jacuzzi

The bed was super comfortable and the food was great, this was the only hotel I stayed at during covid that still served hot breakfast and still had pool service!!

sheila M.T

The place seems clean enough and staff was helpful We booked a single queen room but due to cleaning service (staffs words) had to shift us around to another room and told it was a double queen bed room BUT those beds are not real queens We own a queen and these beds come up short

For me, the beds are overly soft and didn’t make for a rested night sleep The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired and there is a small eating area I understand the prices are on the higher side due to be close to Erie but not one of best stays while traveling It wouldn’t be my first or second choice in the future but when you need a room, it will do

This is the worst hotel I have ever been too ( This coming from someone who travels alot) The pillows are very flat For the two days that I stayed there, I woke up with a stiff neck each day

The customer service was poor It’s like they didn’t even try The first day that I was in the hotel I had left early in the morning and returned in the afternoon and my garbage had not been taken care of, or the towels replaced When I called the front desk they said that we were supposed to be putting that stuff out in the hallway and that because of covid they could no longer come inside the rooms They offered to take care of it I had to call back 5 hours later and ask where the stuff was They said they had forgotten and would bring it up Took them an additional 45 minutes to bring everything up When I was on the phone asking for them to bring the stuff up the first time, I asked about the swimming pool They said that the pool would be open in about an hour The pool was still closed that evening So I called and asked when it would be open They said by late tonight or by morning Went down in the morning and it was still closed Left the hotel around 11 and it was still closed Came back around 4 and the pool was finally open, but when I went in the pool had some kind of chemicals in it that caused me to have a rash The only reason I picked that hotel was because of the swimming pool When checking out of the hotel the person at the front desk didn’t even ask about our stay or anything When I called the hotel about getting a charge on my card, which happen 7 hours after I left the hotel, the person who answered the phone was very rude and didn’t seem to care about her manners I honestly wouldn’t reccomend this hotel to anyone

My family visit in Erie was made even more special because of my stay at Spencer House Steve and Lisa were accommodating, hospitable, hard-working, and kind They even provided my sisters and I with the dining area for a special “cousin” visit where the tea kettle was kept hot and full

The home is beautiful, well-maintained, and clean Upon my arrival Steve and Lisa provided a brief history and tour They love and honor the history of the Spencer House Location is great also I highly recommend a stay at the Spencer House

Our room was in perfect order and clean The breakfast was prepared, plated, and served as one would experience at an upscale hotel The food was very good! An excellent experience

Steve and Lisa are great hosts and are eager to enhance your stay with suggestions about great restaurants and interesting activities My wife and I highly recommend them and look forward to our next stay

I was born and raised in Erie and moved away 32 years ago Decided to spend 5 days in Erie over this summer solstice just reconnecting and chilling with my hometown The Spencer House was perfectly located just blocks from a vibrant downtown and easily drivable to the Peninsula

Built in 1876 it has a lot of beauty and is well maintained The hosts were friendly, the room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were outstanding! My wife and I were happy guests and would recommend this place to everyone

Stayed here just one night so we would be already here for Splash Lagoon the next day Got an email to complete checkin before we got there, so all we had to do was pickup our key Fantastically easy when travelling with 2 young kids

Front desk lady was nice Room was big and clean, beds as comfortable as any hotel bed, plenty of bathroom linen, and air worked great Instead of individual soap/shampoo/conditioners they now have multi-use Dove bottles in the bathtub, I really like that for the environment and I appreciate that it’s a good brand, one less thing to pack! Breakfast was the typical hot delicious variety of the Holiday Inn Express chain We were happy with this room and will likely stay again next time we are coming to Erie

Great staff at this hotel There was a mix-up where we were assigned a room that someone was already occupying – but they resolved it quickly and upgrading our room to a big suite It was wonderful

The room was a little dated, but still nice and functional Comfortable beds Excellent breakfast spread and they did a great job of staying on top of it so it was always fresh

Joe

The good;Excellent staff Nice, expedient, accommodating Clean facility though high traffic because of the water park

Has a water park! Pretty nice by the looks of it Room was spacious, had a fridge with freezer, nice beds, cleanThe bad;Room 101 It is a handicap room so this warning is for those in wheelchairsThe doorway is half blocked by a large wooden sign and sanitation station The door to the water park is right out your door so there is high traffic volume When you open the door expect a surprised family to greet you The door does not block the sound of excited children going to or returning from the water park The freezer is frozen solid there are two bright floodlights outside your window and the blackout blinds do not block it outIt’s a nice place, bad room Hope you enjoy your adventure!!!

Check in and Check out were quick and easy Hotel offered free buffet breakfast and had plenty of options to satisfy all our needs Hotel near highway exit and very close to many restaurant options

Beds were very comfortable and room was clean Pool and exercise room easily accessible on first floor near elevators Used 15K points for room, so cannot comment on price for a stay Only downside was AC kept going on (but many hotels have same issue)

Hailee Houck

Clean rooms! Comfy bed Pool area was clean as well! Only thing is upon arrival they gave us a key for a room, opened the room and it was already occupied

went and got problem fixed Heat would not work in the room, all other rooms were booked so we was not able to switch rooms offered a space heater instead other than those two problems everything else was great

Mistia Damelio

Only complaint is we wanted our room cleaned 2nd day Had no do not disturb hanging But no luck

Refill on trash bags and towls would be nice since it’s the same price for an extra night But other then that we enjoyed the room and it was clean and the pool was warm and they had life jackets for the little ones We brought our own, but great to know

Super impressed with this place Everything is very clean The room was much larger than we expected

The pool was wonderful – it even had a small wading pool with a mushroom-like fountain for small kids (we have 2) In addition to all of these wonderful things, you could see it from the expressway which made it super easy to find and yet you could not hear the expressway from the room (and we had a room facing the expressway) It was close to SO many restaurants and things to do which added to the prime location Great pic!

Courtyard is a good value brand This place has a pool and a modest fitness room The cafe/ bar in lobby is above average

The service is very good, the rooms are slightly below average for the brand The location is convenient, but is in a highly commercial area, so if you want to get out for a walk or run, this environment is not great

Marianne Kephart

This place was awesome from the front desk clerks to the housekeeping staff, especially the supervisor who got us extra towels! The room was sooo soo quiet I never heard a single other guest! We stayed here with a Splash Lagoon package! The hotel it’s self is kept up very well and up to date! The beds were SUPER COMFORTABLE, I have a soft bed here at home and theirs was more firm but yet soft great pillows too! Really clean also, I could tell all the bed linens were clean

The only thing I could find was a small amount of black in the sealant where the wall met the tub Other than that the shampoo condioner and body was were way above average!!!! The pool and courtyard were clean and nice We ate dinner outside after kids had fun in the pool I would stay here again
