Fantastic stay; super clean and comfortable I understand that this Hilton is more geared towards the younger generations, by my husband and I really liked the minimalistic simplicity I love that the rooms did not have carpet or ugly wall hangings

We appreciated the smart TV and charging stations everywhere Great Job, Hilton We will look for Tru by Hilton whenever we travel

I have never felt inclined to leave a hotel a review until I stayed here It is now the only hotel in GJ I will stay at because the customer service is unmatched! Amanda at the front desk is always smiling and happy to help and her as well as the other staff I have met are all very happy to accommodate you This hotel is located a behind main street which does usually mean better rates too! I love the little details like the custom greetings on the TV when you arrive, and love how green they are when it comes to toiletries

Clean, modern, spacious hotel rooms with some pretty nice views as well! Highly recommend!

The Hotel is vibrant, modern and people are friendlyWe checked in this hotel in Grand Junction, after driving 7 hours from Page AZ and had stayed at Home2Suite in Page which was an exceptional HUGE hotel Therefore, checking in back to a ‘normal’ size room, it did feel small :)However, this Hotel is so modern, so colorful and all people worked there we countered were nothing but very nice!! The room is compact but you will have everything you need!We especially love the design of the bath room They give you a very special soap and shampoo dispenser, not the tiny little one that you have to keep asking for more

These dispensers are so large, so convenient and so nicely design For people travel a lot, they will understand why this feature is important 🙂 If I am traveling with a family, I will still pick Home2 Suite because of the size of the room if for just one night for solo or two, I don’t mind to stay at Tru by Hilton againI worked for some of the nicest Hyatt International Hotels in Asia before, never expect Hilton really stepped up for some small chain hotels like these Home2Suite and Tru by Hilton, now are my favorite !

I don’t normally stay in hotels But from where I have been, this place wasn’t bad at all It worked well for my girls and I

The lady who checked us in was amazing and made it a fun process, she noticed my work shirt and apparently I get a 10% discount! Which I wasn’t aware Appreciate her noticing that small detailThe breakfast was ok- is what it wasOverall, I’d stay there again easily!

Cassie Schoppe

Jaimie was absolutely lovely, from calming my frantic-ness by being reassuring over the phone to a seamless check-in during the middle of the night My husband Kevin even went on about her!Their breakfast was excellent with different sauce selections and options for those with allergies that I’ve yet to find elsewhere Patty took great care of us by checking ingredients for allergies on something that wasn’t listed so my son (dairy free) and husband (gluten free) could eat and offered to help me since I had my hands full! She kept things stocked and looking nice up until the last minute

Our room was clean and orderly and the spaciousness was appreciatedAll in all, our stay here was so great that I’m looking into becoming a card member now just so we can support a company with such great employees So refreshing! Thank you!

erica doemland

What a wonderful Marriott property This was the first time in a very long time that a Marriott staff member recognized my gold level status While I am not elite or platinum, I feel like most Marriotts forget that you are still a valid member

Here was an exception The front desk agent acknowledged my membership, offered me snacks, water and upgraded my room

We were visiting for a conference so all the hotels around were busy My room was clean and comfortable, and so was the bed in particular Customer service was great, people were nice and didn’t seem to hate their job, so that’s something! Breakfast is alright, I would like to see a couple more vegetarian options in the sandwich section as I could only eat muffins, scones and granola

I love oatmeal though, so that was good

Evelin

We only stay at Marriott and this is by far one of the worst stays we’ve had There is mold growing in the shower, the bathroom ceiling is bubbling up, the fan is so dusty we didn’t even want to turn it on The couch in the living room was also extremely dusty and we didn’t really want to sit on it

The carpet was coming apart and the room was really smelly They have pans and pots in the room but no stove or oven (that was odd/funny) We thought about complaining but we didn’t notice all these things until the next day We only stayed two nights and only used the room to sleep I’m giving it a 2 because the staff was really nice O can see this in a Motel 6 but Marriott’s are typically better The breakfast was ok for being free They don’t have a microwave in the buffet area for guests to use Which is weird because my oatmeal wasn’t cooked through with just the hot water they offer so I had to take it to my room to finish cooking it in the microwaveUPDATE: We decided to give this place a second chance on 4/1/22 The worst experience we’ve ever had! This place is like a cheap Motel 6 The people above us were so loud Banging and screeching chairs The people next to us screaming all night long The people across from us fighting and banging doors We never like to complain but it was just so much! We were tired and trying to sleep We called the receptionist but it didn’t really fix the problem We tried putting the AC as white noise but the AC had a loud screeching noise all the time There was mold in the bathroom AGAIN! We really are done with this place If I could give them a zero, I would!!! The staff is nice but the hotel and the people that stay there are the worse!

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and AC worked well However this location advertises itself as having a pool and the pool obviously has been closed for quite some time, and will be closed as structural repairs are neededThe elevator had been broken down for 3+ weeks as well when we arrived

Walking up 2 flights of stairs is fine if you’re able-bodied and don’t have a ton of luggage, or if you’re not the staff and have to transport items up and down the stairs instead of having an elevator, but if you have any accessibility concerns and haven’t requested an accessible room you should be aware Comfort Inn needs to update their listing on the site to reflect that there is not, and will not be a pool at this location at any point in the near future and put significant effort into rectifying the issue with the elevator

Crystal M

It was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in awhile! The room and over all hotel was very clean, I’ve stayed 2 tonight’s with 3 children and every morning the breakfast lady would greet us and have coloring pages and crayons for my kid and help with any needs best breakfast by far, if I had anything needing done they were super fast at fixing the problem!Every morning they’d ask if I’d like my sheets changed out n replace anything used from the night priorThe new manger was great and answered any questions or concerns I had and made sure I was pleased, they always greeted u when u returned! The pool was down but is being remodeled so it will be top notch once all completedOver all the best hotel I’ve stayed at for awhile!

Bryce Scott

The pool has been closed for 3+ weeks yet not advertised as being closed on any website or booking platform Since reservation was made through a 3rd party website, specifically for a hotel with a pool, I was not able to cancel and go to another hotelRooms are medium size, beds are comfy, bathroom is small and tub is very small but water is hot and high pressure

Breakfast served in the morning which is nice, very large selection of food and drink and ample sitting space

What an amazing little place! Room was very clean, well equipped (coffee maker, fridge, microwave, AC, massive TV, plenty of power outlets), modern, fresh and felt homely The bed and bedding were super comfortable as well My room at the Balanced Rock Inn was much better than some of the big name 4-star hotels I’ve stayed at

If I’m in the area I will definitely be back!

Shoshana Lata

Very clean, nice little family run Motel The beds were really comfortable, the room was modern, and the price was right A great place if you just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep for the night

A little noisy, but it is a Motel There are also train tracks somewhere in the vicinity, so just be aware that you’ll probably hear a train or two throughout the night

n hughes

Libby, who checked us in, let me know about the nearby Colorado National Monument, which I would have missed if it had not been for her (great scenic drive) Our room was clean and a good value for the money Fruita seems to be a nice little town too although I didn’t have time to check it out

Another plus was the convenient location near the interstate If I am ever in this area again, I would certainly stay at Balanced Rock Inn once more

Excellent hotel addition to Grand Junction Clean, modern, convenient Having a restaurant with good food and free access to the college campus gym (5 min walk) gave me some time back in my night

Also dog friendly – for a feeLobby coffee shop adds to the convenience in the morning Shout out of appreciation to the young lady working on her own early this morning who probably served about 40 people in 30 minutesI will staying here on all future cross-county trips

Terissa Morain

Hands down BEST cleanest hotel I have stayed in while traveling and dog allowed hotel All animals were well behaved Smelled fresh

Hotel felt amazing Normally when traveling with a four legged companion you accept a lower class hotel but this was 10/10! Trying the restaurant tomorrow but at this rate I am sure to be pleased with it as well!

samuel kirk

The staff was incredibly nice and amazing, didn’t see any bugs in my room Very modern It didn’t smell like a hotel either

However, the beds are very firm, not a fan felt like i was sleeping on the floor Pillows are also rough Blankets sound like windbreaker pants The floor was nasty, spilt water and wiped it up and the paper towel was black Nasty But it’s a floor Showers are nice, but the pump soap hadn’t been changed out (for all I know someone could’ve put Nair in them) the towels were VERY scratchy The rooms are pretty small The headboard had left dirt/wood dust on the pillows, hopefully just from age and not bugs Didn’t feel very safe either Just felt eerie the stay Accommodating to pets, cleaner than other pet hotels I’ve been in would I stay again? Probably not It’s just a little too pricey for what it actually is

The Home2 Suite (Hilton) hotel concept is a great one I found my room to be very clean, well appointed, comfortable and well stocked The walls could be thicker to block a bit more sound, but overall it wasn’t too bad

I also like the idea that the staff and housekeeping will basically leave you alone (unless there’s an emergency, of course) until YOU need them The desk staff was professional, courteous, helpful and accommodating I would definitely stay with Home2 Suites again

Diego

As expected, amazing experience I walked in on a Friday afternoon, and asked if they have a room that is ready and available at that minute I was exhausted from driving 6 hours, and needed to take a looong nap at 2pm

Plenty before usual check ins They were accommodating, and front desk was extra nice and helpful with restaurant recommendations! The entire hotel is pet friendly which is amazing for pet lovers, and also doesn’t look like other pet friendly hotels! The place was spotless From the front desk to the breakfast bar to the room Everything was definitely deep cleaned and in perfect condition Very happy I stayed here, and I already booked my next trip to town in this hotel!

Jennifer Angulo

Hotel was easy to find and right off the highway It was nice and clean The complimentary breakfast was delicious

They had breakfast sandwiches which was a nice change from other typical free breakfasts at hotels The room had a mini kitchen, so convenient My only real complaints are that I found the beds to be uncomfortable and the pillows to be flat (this might just be a Hilton brand thing though cause we stayed at another Hilton brand hotel in Nevada and the beds/pillows had the aame problem for us) And the bathroom was too small Trying to get kids washed up and what not was hard to do in that space

We had a two night stay at this location The hotel was nice and clean, a little outdated but a good stay They had friendly staff and housekeeping that comes by everyday to change out towels and to empty trash

They have hot coffee and hot water available for guests They are only doing breakfast sacks at the moment so no continental breakfast It was pretty quiet even though this location is near the freeway, just some guests next door Overall, a good stay for a good price 👍

I pulled in at 11pm after a rough 11 hour drive The lady at the desk made sure to check me in as quickly as possible so I could get to my room asap, which I appreciated I wasn’t charged a pet fee either

The mattress was way too firm for my liking, but that’s just how it is with hotels Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious Would stay here againThe place is right next to a busy freeway, which I didn’t mind at all (I grew up in a house next to a freeway) but I know it bothers some people Just be aware before booking

James Barker

Kudos to the staff! Thank you to the lady working the front desk overnight on 9 July for helping me start my laundry! The breakfast was pretty good Extra points for having a carafe of milk/cream for my coffee :)The suites are awesome btw!I was in the suite originally but extended for an extra night and needed to switch rooms due to availability Attached at photos of the regular king room, which is also very nice

M. Eldridge

stayed in June 2022 with king bed One of the better La Quinta we have stayed in Has 5 floors, a large lobby/breakfast area with good food selection with plenty of seating

Work out room, and its it pet friendly Our room was nice and well furnished Parking was limited somewhat Bathroom had 2 saloon type doors that was different, show head &/or pressure was low and the commode must have been industrial type as it was Noisy & we could hear our neighbors flush as well We would stay there again

The restaurant staff was friendly and food was great! It took a long time for the food but but ended up being good Would we stay again? Probably not We will try someplace else next time The cost just doesn’t equal the quality here

Chad Hudson

Rooms are always clean Pool and hot tub area is nice I have to say though that the restaurant and bar are excellent

Relaxing environment, Mariah who served me was the nicest, most professional bartender that I’ve encountered in awhile I’d stay there again just to have a good meal and a drink there Richard, always does an excellent job as well Overall, great place to stay

Rob Andrews

Great stay after a long day of travel Check-in was amazing – friendly and helpful front desk who went above and beyond to make sure I got relaxed and in bed right away Both room and pool towels were scratchy, though, and the hot tub left me kind of itchy

Hair products left my hair feeling damaged, but lotion was great as was the toilet paper Room was huge and bed was comfortable, but I brought my own blankets to weigh me down more than the light sheets There was a fair bit of light from the parking lot which was a trade off for trying to get morning sun Front desk was on the phone when I went to check out and didn’t seem to acknowledge that I was waiting for 5 minutes Coffee in the lobby was cold, too, but she replaced it right away Would stay here again

I’m not one to write reviews, but I have had such nice experiences here that I felt the need to share The staff are amazing My family has stayed here twice this spring and both times have been met with kind helpful staff members who seem to take great pride in their jobs

Every front desk attendant and housekeeper we came into contact with had on a smile Very clean! Rooms are dated but clean and comfortable, which is enough for us Breakfast bar is well stocked with a self serve waffle bar, and the staff were constantly restocking and sanitizing the area during breakfast hours Poolarea is clean and freshly painted The staff were able to accommodate a late checkout for us both times we’ve visited, free of charge Bike tools and bike washing station available as well Great home base for all Fruita adventures Thank you Super 8 Fruita team!!!

Ryan Jack

The property is clean but dated AC worked well in the room but room was hot when we first arrived so turned AC on and went for a swim in the pool and by the time we got back the room was nice and cool Bed wasn’t the worst but not the best, adequate is accurate

They have a hose for washing mountain bikes and a repair station with basic tools They didn’t have a problem with bringing bike in the room

ParaPrix

The location: (10/10) Right near the interstate, perfect if you need a place to stay during a tripThe front desk: (10/10) The lady there was friendly and we got our room pretty quicklyThe room: (6/10) For the price, it’s becoming a bit dated

The rooms are not soundproof, was woken up during the night by the people around us watching TV The bathroom was small which is fine but the bathtub creaks a lot which was annoying The air conditioner was very weak and it took until the morning for it to actually get cold at all I’ve heard others on here say the room was dirty or the bed was too hard but I can say that wasn’t the case for the room I gotThe breakfast: (8/10) There wasn’t too much, from what I saw most of the food had blueberries in it and my dad said they tasted alrightPet entry: (4/10) I myself didn’t bring any pets but as people have mentioned despite claiming this place is ‘pet friendly’ they ONLY allow dogs due to ‘allergies’ Fair enough I guess, but they should really state that outside and not while people are already bringing their other pets alongAll in all the place was okay to stay at, just wouldn’t recommend if you have young kids or any pet besides a dog

The mattress very comfortableThe next morning I enjoyed the breakfast Buffett The chef made me perfect over medium eggs They cook the large link sausage for the buffet ExcellentThey now have a $12 self parking fee we have never encountered here before That is out of place in this setting After my request they took the charge off I hope they drop it soon

It’s an old hotel The rooms are spacious but there are a few safety issues The tap in the shower/tub was marked incorrectly

Turning it towards the blue color resulted in hot water flow which injured my toddler Not to forget that the water was really really hot The coffee makers vent out steam once one cup of water runs out, which again is something that can result in a burn There was no microwave or fridge in the room I wouldn’t wanna stay again because for the same money, I can get better hospitality and amenities I’ve been to other Hilton hotels that were much nicer

Communication The staff communicated Diamond Member benefits differently At check-in we were informed we received a $15 per person credit up to two people per room

The next day the front desk said that was wrong and the Diamond member only received the credit for one room on the reservationAt check-in we were not given the details of what our corporate rate covered Our rate gave each room one free breakfast and free parking We figured out the perks through the long discussion on the Diamond Member creditThe rooms are very dated The elevator smelled of dog pee As I asked the front desk: how many door dings do I need before I receive free parking

We got in late and had planned to stay at another hotel but that other hotel was shady as hell This was our 2nd choice and I’m glad we stayed here We got a room relatively inexpensively for 3 people

Evening and morning staff were incredibly nice and super helpful Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the shower was good If I had a complaint it was that it was hot in the room and the thermostat for the heater was a bit worn so it was hard to tell how to turn it down That said, we managed it with the in room AC and all was good Close to a couple of truck stop gas stations that allowed us to get snacks and stuff All in all, it was a good place to stay

Location wasn’t bad Had plenty of parking for my truck pulling a 30 foot trailer and had a great little Mexican restaurant right in front That’s where the good ends

We reserved a superior King with a mini-fridge and microwave paid online and were all set When we got to rather property they checked us in ran my card and gave me a room key After lugging all our stuff upstairs to find a room with 2 queen beds no microwave or mini fridge So it’s back downstairs to the registration desk to get the room that we paid for I was left wishing we’d stayed in the 2 queen room Our room was hot and the wall ac unit had the directional vanes all broken out and barely felt cooler than the outside air temp even with the jnow turned to max cool (The 2 queen room had an updated ac with digital readout and a remote) It was not worth the trouble to switch to yet another room so we deal with sitting on the bed sweatingWe considered staying in Grand Junction again this evening but wouldn’t stay at the Red Roof if we do I will be watching my bank statement to see if they charged me online (at their website) as well as at the front desk It definitely wasn’t worth paying for twice

Very clean and recently updated inside Nothing too fancy but a great price for a comfortable clean hotel room with no hidden pet fees We travel with our little dog and most hotels have hidden pet fees or the pet rooms smell like a dirty kennel

Not the case with this oneEverything looked very clean and smelled clean It’s right off the highway so it’s very convenient if you’re just passing through on a road trip and there is a restaurant there attached to the lobby which was also very convenient We would definitely stay here again if we are passing through
