The room was good, the staff was friendly the breakfast was above average and had many choices My only complaint was the aggressive manner in which they try to force you out of your room in the morning We attended a wedding nearby and obviously wanted to sleep in a little

The cleaning staff used a card key to enter my room at 8am after a quick knock and we were in bed Thankfully I had locked the safety latch and then we went to have breakfast around 9am and the staff was waiting outside of our room and asked are we leaving?? We replied no we are going to get breakfast and then put the do not disturb sign on the door out of fear of being evicted from the room This was just unnecessary in my opinion Check in for the next guests is not till 3pm This should not be my inconvenience to even think about the logistics of how they will clean all of the rooms in time, meanwhile 11-3 all rooms are vacant I would not stay here again unless I had to I believe that this hotel could do a little better even though they probably get by with the steady stream of business from local vineyards and wedding venues

It is gone downhill since last year we stayed there One of there elevators wasn’t working upon checking in, we realize that we didn’t have any blackout curtains in out room We notified the front desk and they said they would send maintenance in the next morning

I had to call again that next day to make sure that someone was going to come before they left for the day Maintenance had to hang something to black out the room for night time but then we weren’t able to have any natural light for 6 daysThe curtains weren’t working at all in our room Went down to the front desk one morning and to get some extra towels they said they would have housekeeping bring them up to us and they never did had to go back down again, and we had only use housekeeping one time the whole stay Breakfast was good but you have to get down there early Pool was nice! Customer service wise, the girls were great however there was an on duty manager that you could tell hates his job (Manager On DutyNathaly Joya) Husband had a not so good interaction with him Wouldn’t pay that much to stay there again going to stay at one of the other hotels in town the next time we come

First night was great! Quiet hotel and great breakfast Saturday morning! Saturday night wasn’t so pleasant, Girls Dance Team or whatever checked in and it was incredibly noisy and loud then They were running up and down the hallway screaming and just acting like it was a playground Didn’t get any sleep and Was hoping to enjoy breakfast but again the girls dance team ruined that as well

Recently visited the Shou Sugi Ban House with my boyfriend from NC for a spa day and first time trip to the Hamptons We had 3 experiences, a massage, tea meditation and lunch I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed this experience

The staff was all so kind and attentive Literally every experience we tried was amazing The food is a dream, the massage was amazing and the tea meditation was 10/10 I also ordered something from the shop and they were so helpful and mailing my order to me This would definitely be one of the reasons I would come back to visit the Hampton’s

Doesn’t belong in any Best Of list The list of customer service failures is really too long to write out The worst? The group class instructor telling my Mom she couldn’t handle the class

It’s a group class – provide accommodations and make us feel welcome Or maybe it was the lack of hot water or zero communication after the 2:30 am fire alarm Oh! Maybe that three of our scheduled appointments were left off our itinerary Wait, maybe that we were told thirty minutes before our arrival that our dinner reservation was canceled for a private event Being served the same food at each meal? It’s a well maintained landscape and nice architecture, but it’s not luxury It could be with customer service training and a customer focused program

We decided to visit for a 24 hour staycation, signing up for 2 hydrotherapy sessions (this is just access to a room with steams, sauna, hot/cold dips for $100/pp), a facial, a soundbath, and a private session with the practitioner of the moment We also reserved for the 6:30 seating of dinner (one seating) Prices are at the level where one expects great service and to feel respected, yet we were treated with a great lack

After our hydrotherapy finished, we headed to our room with a half hour to get dinner ready The shower was only providing cold water Three calls and one email later and 15 minutes of hoping later, we quick rinsed in cold water to make dinner We found we were one of two tables (the other allegedly the owner who was also our breakfast neighbor and never said hello while we actually did make friends and exchange info with other guests) I was freezing (chilled to the bone as they say) after the hot/cold experience followed by a cold shower I was told they couldn’t turn the AC to a warmer temp or it would be stuffy I used a thick blanket and cup of hot water to take the deep chill off but sat through two and a half hours of dinner with goosebumps The boiler was fixed, and I was told “thanks for being so cool about this” The next morning when checking the bill I asked if anything was being done, and the response was, “Didn’t they fix it?”The fix didn’t change the disturbance it had created and my serious discomfort for over three hours until I could take a hot bath I was told they would look into it but nothing changed I called to follow up, great apologies, we’ll look into it, nothing changed After spending money on food (lovely dinner, the $50 dollar rice bowl for lunch was great, but really?), 4 services, and a high priced room one would expect perhaps a small gesture to ensure satisfaction (Perhaps a small room discount, or waive the hydrotherapy service that was not using staff resources) As a business owner, I am shocked, as a customer, appalled, and as someone who has been trained in many and taught a few types of yoga, baffled at the lack of actual spiritual respect, kindness and appreciation that should be a the foundation of a place like this I will spare details on the other services, and say the facial was very good The sound bath, who knows, my husband snored and the practitioner didn’t think to turn or adjust him so it was a struggle for me She mentioned in groups they have ways of dealing with it, guess i would have been better off not having the private experience I would have maybe gone back, but prefer to take business someplace that actually appreciates their customers This left us with the opposite feeling It’s unfortunate that a small gesture that had to be asked for (yes that feels gross but we felt our stay was greatly disturbed) is ignored leading to feeling like a google review is necessary I would look elsewhere for a spiritual spa experience Oh, and to avoid yoga in a room that is wall to wall rubber, and smells like a tire store

Just got back from a getaway at the Sag Harbor Inn; everything about our stay was wonderful We were greeted by warm smiles from the front desk staff who throughly explained everything we would need to know about our stay The rooms were spacious and very clean

The lobby and meeting area are decorated so nicely, and is a perfect space for enjoying time with family or friends We enjoyed the water views as we ate the complimentary breakfast The location of the hotel was very convenient and walking distance to restaurants We left our weekend getaway feeling refreshed, as we really appreciated the personalized and accommodating vibe that the hotel gave We look forward to the next time we can be guests!

We were very impressed by how clean the Inn was kept The breakfast area was cleaned after each person got up and left The rooms, hallways and common areas were kept immaculate The rooms were large and brightly lit It is very peaceful I would suggest to stay on the second floor it might be a little quieter You are a four minute walk from town

Great location! Hotel was clean, the pools were great and I loved the outdoor lounge areas Rooms were clean Used the couch pull out bed and called the front desk for linens

They said that they had to check if they had any linens left for us to use The room description said that linens would be in the closet but they were not there Would’ve been upset if they did not have any linens for us to use but luckily they did Breakfast was good

Robin Lamb

We stayed at the Marriott with our 2 small dogs last night We came to the area to visit our child who is away at college The hotel was perfect! It was very clean

Even though the place was sold out, it didn’t feel crowded or loud We were able to get breakfast without difficulty It was very reasonably priced There are lots of food options nearby The only thing that would make this pet-friendly hotel better would be a gated dog walk area, since the hotel is located on a busy highway Overall, we look forward to staying here again the next time we visit our child

Ricky Long

We enjoyed our stay very much! Staff was courteous, and rooms were clean Abundance of parking The complimentary buffet was top notch

There were to-go boxes ready for guests to eat in their rooms Hot food was individually packaged and constantly topped off by the staff Can’t say enough good things about how clean and well run the breakfast buffet was This Residence Inn is right next to the Tanger Outlet However, in order to get to the outlets, we drove down the road, and then back around We would have walked it, but there’s not direct path across Old Country Road It’s very close to Lavender by the Bay and Windy Acre Farm We definitely would recommend Thank you for making our first overnight stay with our babies as smooth as it could have gone Will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary this week We loved the location! We were able to walk to get breakfast and dinner, we walked down to the small beach down the road, and we were only about 10 minutes from other stores/restaurants We stayed in one of the bungalows, and we were happy with it

We had a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee pot and stove, so we didn’t have to go out to eat for every meal The pool was great, we spent the whole day there and the atmosphere was super relaxing Reveka was welcoming and helpful We can’t wait to make this trip an every year event

Every time I stay here I’m reminded of how beautiful Sag Harbor is, and how fantastic the staff, the food, the location, the view… One of the best experiences is the Nespresso machine in all the rooms The restaurant is great and food, delicious However, don’t believe them when they tell you the room service menu is exactly the same as the restaurant – it is not

The restaurant menu is extensive A real pet peeve I have with staying in Baron’s Cove is The lack of smart TVs If you want to spend the evening relaxing in your room, your options are extremely limited I will keep coming back because I love it here! But please upgrade the TVs Every staff member here is amazing, especially the front desk folks

Honest review of the good and bad hereGood: Everyone I met was extremely friendly and eager to help The bar and pool staff were amazing

The location is perfect with a quick walk to adorable downtown sag harbor The bikes I used daily and were always available I liked the shuttle option to the beach but I get car sick The pool area itself was very pretty The outdoor seating for each room was perfect and I had coffee out there each day My room was very clean Oh, and there’s ample parking The food was also great and the wood burning fire each night in the lobby was perfectThe bad: The room itself is a 3 star room in my opinion For the rate they are charging, the linens should be higher end, the bathrooms larger, blackout curtains available, central AC instead of wall units I was awoken each morning by the sun at 6am even though I had my blinds shut Not exactly what I was hoping for on my vacation I was also constantly warm in my room as the wall units only blow so far The water view is more of a marina and there’s a street between so it’s not direct view I didn’t love that there was no hot tub, nor that the beach shuttle stopped at 5 (wanted to see sunset)Would I stay here again? Probably not I stayed at many nicer hotels for the same rate and next time I’ll probably stay at the beach

We paid $658 ($705 after taxes and fees) for the “waterview bungalow” for one night It was as simple as the listing was on Hotelscom: “double bed, bathroom, waterview”

No amenities Not even a microwave or cooler No place to hang clothes unless you count the hooks in the bathroom There is one dresser with shallow shelves No chair Just a double bed, bathroom, and a TV The TV wasn’t set up either Took us a while to turn it on and set up (the remote batteries were put in wrong) No hairdryer eitherThe restaurant opens after 5pm so you have tp look for your own breakfast and lunch There is only one cafe in town that’s 2 min away for brunch so the line is endless We wished there was at least a coffee machine in the roomBeautiful interiorw lovely benches and chairs view outside of room deck with water and a bridge that you can drive across to the beachwhere you have to pay $30 to park or walk 20-30min there for freeThe Inn Spot is still waiting for their beach permit for guests and also has no reception desk so like us, many guests also walked into the restaurant with their luggages confused The desk number rings with no answer (Celia is the one who called us back after we called their sister company EP Marine)We did not receive any check-in instructions via text which would have been helpful Sergio, who worked at the restaurant (?) was kind enough to let us into our roomIt seemed like the place had just reopenedand it needed to be more organized this experience was probably worth around $300 not $700

Nick Jagodzinski

We had a great experience staying here Besides the location being beautiful, the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful with anything we needed and any questions we had about the area The location was perfect too, very close to the beaches and a short drive from some really good restaurants

We’ll be back! Thank you for the wonderful time!

The waiter was nice, as was the view, and the food was okay But the place has no ambiance at all It felt oddly abandoned

The other server/greeter wasn’t exactly rude, but she was brusque, disinterested and slow The food is overpriced They had run out of the fish special by 7:15, despite the fact that the restaurant was about 70% empty The cocktail menu is meh, and when I ordered a vodka tonic with lime I got a very small and slightly brown slice of lime The women’s restroom has two stalls, one of which had a broken door The menu is limited and includes some things that sound plain unappetizing, to be honest There were only two fish dishes on the main menu, plus the special, which again, they no longer hadat 7:15 I would not go back, and I feel bad saying this, because again, the waiter did a good job I’d describe him as heroic in a thankless role I’d call this place the Out Spot

All the reviews I read seemed pretty positive however, the welcome we got was very vague No offer in recommendations or assistance in reservations, even to their own restaurant There was limited information of the amenities (e

g bikes, car service), and a lack of information relating to events happening during our stayThe restaurant was amazing and food was delicious and great service I had better luck calling the restaurant to get a hold of someone at the front desk because they rarely answered (again, there is a theme of a lack of communication)The room was really nice but for being an “upscale” boutique hotel, I’m really surprised they couldn’t even have a coffee machine in the room Also, our door didn’t lock which the front desk told us it was because they’re European doors but if they were so “unique” it would’ve been nice if someone explained how to use itI was mostly disappointed that there ended up being a wedding during our Thursday night stay which ended up being directly in front of our room at the pool Luckily it ended at 11 pm but we weren’t able to use the pool and there was people all over setting up so we felt in the way that entire day There was also a photo booth setup which lit up the entire bathroom with flash after flash It would have been nice if they put us further down at least and when we said something, they just mentioned they communicate events on their website I don’t think there’s clear wedding dates listed on their site and if there is…it would have still been nice if someone just gave us the heads up when we checked inThey did also have the fire pit setup but didn’t have a fire any of the nights…once again seemed like another amenity we couldn’t use We haven’t been traveling much during the pandemic but this experience was pretty disappointing and feel like I’ve received better service traveling for work and staying at a Marriott I would like to support smaller boutique hotels but I felt like a burden since I wasn’t paying thousands on a wedding…just a few thousand on two nights which is clearly nothing to themAlso, I was really surprised that there was so much traffic The hotel is in front of one of the main roads, it’s only two lanes but there were a ton of large tractor trailers constantly driving by when dining and can easily be heard from the room we stayed in

We live around the corner and have been dining in the Topping Rose restaurant for the last 4 years Today was an experience we have never witnessed before Myself, my husband and our 4 children came to have lunch

Our hostess Amelia was very unpleasant and rude Despite having reservations, Amelia refused to sit us at the table we requested The restaurant was not fully occupied and many tables for 6 were available The table we requested was not reserved and was empty the whole time we dined Not making a big deal, we asked to make reservations for the following week Amelia replied she was not able to guarantee the table for the following week either We have dined at the restaurant on multiple occasions and how we were treated today was absolutely unacceptable

review from stay in 2021, sorry late but forgot to write it Rooms are great The people who work there are great but I think it is outrageous that you have one pool and on an August weekend you rent out the entire pool area for a bar mitzvah (starting early afternoon till close due to prep time)

At suites that cost $2000 per night coming out with family you would expect that you at least get a heads up! So you can adjust the day plan or cancelIn addition the location being at a major intersection for the Hamptons is not helping either Busses and trucks keep on driving super slow due to traffic Not the hotel fault but definitely gives location a low grade

I had an extremely negative experience with the owner today Upon check in the room was creepy motel filthy Unexplained stains on the kitchen cabinets and floor, the love seat was soiled the outdoor seating area looked like it had not been cleaned all Summer

Very uncomfortable accommodations When I requested a refund well before 3pm (check-in) the owner refused multiples and said that my claims were unfounded He offered another room, after explaining that they had a very busy weekend At that point, I was beyond disgusted and just wanted to leave Since he vehemently refused to issue and immediate refund, we were forced to accept the second room After a few moments and realizing there were too many red flags and over all unsanitary reasons not to stay, we finally called it quits and left after, of course giving the owner multiple opportunities to make this right Poor, poor customer service DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE, EVER!!

This was our 2nd time here We like the place and appreciate the good value in an expensive part of the world We rented the tiniest room, and we were happy

We spent most of our time outdoors–at the beach I appreciated the fresh bagels and coffee in the morning I bought my son a breakfast sandwich from the shopping center a 4-min walk away Clean room Clean, fluffy towels Happy for the chance to get away Be sure to check out Iron Pier Beach! And Lenny’s Pizza!!

Shin Xing

WORST!The place is not bad for the price But the worst part was all the window locks are broken even in the bathroom We tried complaining it to the front desk and ask if he could transfer us to another room but didn’t take any actions

Rather than taking risk in staying in an unsafe place we just checked out and find another safer place to stay Not gonna risk my safety just for $194!! (2nights)

Room 42 is not a standard room, which would according to their own definition accommodate 2 queen size beds No way would 2 queen beds fit in that room According to them, all their rooms are standard

This is deceptive, especially for people who are new to staying in hotels Rooms 38-43 appear to be the same layout The door was tricky to lock We called and someone came to assist us Breakfast was good, but “small plate” We waited for our food a long time I’m glad we ate elsewhere for dinner after inquiring whether they could accommodate a low sodium diet The man was honest He said that their food is Spanish and therefore salty The room was clean & decor was actually nice However, it bothered me that the lamp on one night stand was tall enough to interfere with 2/3 of the giant solitary picture in the room They need to get shorter lamps or smaller pictures Also, we had 3 conversations with different people before booking One woman was honest She said that no room had a view of the water One man stated that room 42 had a partial view of the water because it’s “higher” By partial, he meant a vague 15 percent patch of blue between branches that are still bare at this time of year

Had a wonderful stay! It was extreme clean and well decorated Love that you have a cozy sitting area outside the room as well as a picnic table Great customer service, from the room cleaning to the property owners

Upon arrival Sarah at the front desk was most helpful, I asked what are some things to do and she emailed me a list of things to do even of her own personal interests being from the area, we went to a few suggested places and it was great suggestions (thank you Sarah!) The owners are on-site, which we encountered and they both were extremely pleasant We had trouble turning on the TV and called for assistance and in no time someone came to the room and explained what to do Breakfast was absolutely great as well as service The pool area was enjoyable, a few people left their belongings on the pool chairs and tables to hold without being present for an extended period of time, this should probably be discouraged We all loved our stay and looking forward to returning

We booked several rooms to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation and We had the most bizarre experience at this resort

there was a dent in the wall in one of the rooms so we reported it and front desk said it was fine i had to leave early and my daughter checked out for our us and our guests and the management demanded a room inspection?? Then claimed they then claimed the dent was our fault and had us pay $250 for damages wow! Didn’t want to bother any further so just paid it as some of our guests had to catch flights But very disappointing! WOULDNT go back or recommend this resort

We stayed at the Colonial Shores in Hamptons Bay this past weekend and we just really had an amazing time! From the cleanliness of the cottage, to their amenities, top that off with their superb service, this place is really a gem Their location is also great There’s nothing negative to say about this place but if there’s one thing, we wish we stayed much longer! But we also love it that much that we already booked for next year! Thanks again for our great stay, that not only my husband and I loved it, but my girls as well

We had an amazing long weekend! We were married at the bath and tennis in 2001 and hadn’t been back since! Everything has been newly renovated and you can’t beat the location! The beach was so nice with great service setting up our lounge chairs and umbrellas We also enjoyed the cocktails at the tiki bar! We had the ocean front room, we had our own deck with lounge chairs and a table which was perfect to relax in the morning and at the end of the day! We will definitely be back!

I stayed here last month for a wedding and could not be more disappointed in the behavior of the staff—specifically the front desk attendants and another man who I believe was the catering manager They repeatedly and LOUDLY talked about my group and I behind our backs in the hotel lobby all because we asked about the possibility of an early check-in If you had traveled out of state, took an early train, arrived within 3 hrs of the start of the ceremony, and had nowhere to get ready, wouldn’t you inquire about any available rooms as well? They acted as if it was the most absurd request they’d ever heard and then proceeded to mock and insult us after we left all while one individual from my group was in the business center within earshot of every word they said

The catering manager was the nastiest, he was extremely loud and borderline misogynistic towards my all-female group I couldn’t believe someone in the hospitality industry would openly disrespect their guests in a public lobby like he did (Later, at the reception, he constantly avoided eye contact with me and my group—it was so funny) As soon as they realized the person from my group had heard everything they said, they overcompensated by being overly nice, eventually allowing us into our rooms early, and even complimenting our outfits It was completely transparent but honestly kind of hilariousWhile I am grateful they allowed us to get ready for the wedding in their public restroom, I will not forget how uncomfortable their hostile attitudes made me feel I wouldn’t stay here again; the rooms aren’t even that great—definitely not good enough to warrant that kind of attitude among the staff

The room has been redone recently Looked great before, looks amazing now! The catering manager (or maitre d), William, has an excellent eye for detail Took great care of our clients

The staff is professional and friendly and made sure the guests were well tended to As an entertainer at this venue, I highly recommend it to brides and grooms seeking a wedding venue

We booked a block of rooms with this hotel for our wedding weekend on the North Fork of Long Island We worked with Suzanne Lincoln who was SO incredibly helpful in arranging the block, sharing information, answering questions, and assisting with last-minute requests All our guests were very happy with their stays and it was nice to be able to gather with other guests in the spacious lobby, at the bar, and over breakfast

We would absolutely recommend this property for groups or for family travelers One thing that could be improved is the layout of the rooms There was no closet (which for a wedding with lots of things to hang was challenging) and the room arrangement was a little strange Also, we were staying off-season and it was very hard to find food, coffee, lunch within walking distance of the hotel The hotel restaurants are either not open off-season or are closed from Monday-Wednesday which is when we were there There are very limited take-out/delivery options in Riverhead You would need to drive to get food, which might not be ideal for everyone But, honestly, all the staff at the Hyatt were amazing and so great to work with They were patient and helpful and we would definitely return and recommend it to others

Just did five nights and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay Friendly service, clean, comfortable rooms (esp the beds) and a chill vibe They have pleasant, mellow live music in the evenings (maybe only weekends), a nice pool and a tasty free breakfast

Location is great for exploring the north and south forks of long island Plenty of good restaurants in the immediate area, although the restaurant on site is quite good This is our third stay and we’re already looking forward to coming back next summer

Henry Peterman

Disappointed with my stay IHG listed Hotel Indigo as part of their premier hotel category It’s modern design left much to be desired

Our room was in some disrepair and did not meet the description presented I regularly use Holiday Inn Properties in my travels and found this to be subpar in comparison to their other regular and budget properties I would strong advise those who choose to list this property as a premier property reconsider this classification if other properties under this label are in a similar state The staff was friendly and helpful and was the shining part of my stay It would be hard for me to consider staying at another Indigo property
