The hotel has a strange scent My first impression- The room walls were dirty the rugs have dirt in the corners and everything was dusty even the bathroom The bathroom sink and tub had rust inside the basin and along faucets and the closet was dirty too

My husband requested housekeeping to clean the room but nobody showed up to clean The halls of this hotel was not better because there is dirt smudges on the walls and stains on the rugs and trash littered on the floor and inside the elevators The elevator buttons are even nasty and need to be scrubbed Compared to the Knoxville Hilton Garden we stayed in last night the Memphis Hilton Garden is a Super 8 motel The cable in the room even disconnected and never resumed after 2 hours of checking in the room If you enjoy cleanliness, comfort, quality, or quiet avoid this hotel Furthermore, there aren’t many food options available in the area

Stephen Adelman

Wont stay here again, they only have one working elevator, the one that dose work doesn’t work properly They don’t have enough luggage carts, and it seemed like people held them in the rooms to have them for check out in the morning When we called and asked for one more pillow they said they were all out

It just seemed like excuse after excuse with the front desk, and when we brought all the issues we had up at check out All we got was a sorry hope you have a better experience next time!

Kim Clay

I stayed at the Hilton this past weekendI was not able to get an early check in but when I got there after 4:00, my room was ready It was clean kind of stuffy

The rose looks fairly new I was exhausted when I got there Normally, I have a problem laying in somebody else’s bed Last night I slept so good I woke up this morning feeling good I wanted to give a review because when I see that there’s good service I want others to know the only problem I really had is that I couldn’t get my water hot hot And then my toilet wouldn’t go down I called the front desk they sent maintenance up He did what he needed to do Kudos to Hilton and Crew

Lovely hotel, good breakfast, nice lobby, quality of rooms and service was great The hotel gym is also very nice, on the fourth floor with treadmills facing the windows so you have a cool viewThe only issue was the pool 🥹 My family and I were really looking forward to swimming so we called many hotels to confirm if their pool was open

Via phone they confirmed the pool was open So we booked with them Upon arrival, we asked again they said yes When we went to the pool, they had these signs posted, front desk had no idea about them when we brought it to their attention, and then urged us to not swim until they confirmed it was okay to swim (better safe than sorry, i understand) They promised to get back to us with answers and they didn’t We asked another staff member and the interaction of not knowing anything about it repeated I am happy they preferred to be safe, but the miscommunication was frustrating I appreciate the staff being nice as possible throughout

donted60

First time staying and we were very satisfied Upon arrival the staff was very courteous and cordial For some reason I was booked for 3 rooms instead of one( an Expedia mistake) but it was quickly cleared up

Thankfully I was only billed for one room The rooms must have been remodeled because they were better than the pics and the bathroom was 👍🏿👍🏿 The next morning I got a chance to go to the gym and that was a good experience also hand sanitizer and complimentary water was available and that was a plus All in all this was a good stay and will definitely be on my list of hotels to stay in when in Memphis

Paul Baltz

Stayed here the weekend with my family, for a soccer tournament The front desk was very friendly and helpful I also appreciated the tireless staff during the busy breakfast rush

They worked non-stop to keep the food supply coming The room was clean and comfy It had a fridge but no microwave (had to go to the lobby for that) Parking lot patrolled at night by security vehicle Only dislike is the location–it’s squeezed in between a couple busy stretches of road Blink and you will miss the entrance or accidentally turn into the adjacent property

Location was perfect Close to the highway and lots of restaurant options for dinner Room was clean and the space was good for a one night stay as we drive across the country

I found the service to be frustrating For a hotel that says it’s pet friendly I found they were barely pet tolerant We got in late and needed to feed our kids so we dropped the pets and then went to dinner We weren’t gone for more then 10 minutes and I received a phone call telling me my dog was barking I told the lady we had just left and sat down to have dinner, there was no offer to call us back if she continued to bark, no offer to let us know if she was being super loud, no consideration for the fact that she had just been left in the room and might need a few minutes to get used to the new environment I don’t find that very pet friendlyIn addition to having to pay an extra fee to be able to stream entertainment on the “free WiFi”, made for a stressful evening after a long day of driving instead of a restful night

Wenda O’Neill

Rooms were nice, they seemed clean even though we found a broken toothpick on the bed (Weird right?) the handicap accessible room did not have a walk in shower, it has a tub with a rail The hallway smelled like someone was smoking in their room even though it was a smoke free

Having said that our rooms smelled great Conveniently located near lots of shops and pet friendly(but there is a fee)

Sophia Holloway

After searching for the best rated hotel in this area, I decided to Stay here for the first time The rooms are not as clean as I expected it to be The rooms need a bit of an upgrade

I’ve been here 2 nights so far While watching TV, a roach was climbing up the wall I took a picture for proof I called the front desk I was offered a room switch but what’s the point when roaches are climbing up the wallsI’m extremely disappointed This is unacceptable 😤

Staff was wonderful and hotel is dog-friendly! Room was cozy with full-size fridge and kitchen if you want to cook Big, clean bathroom Breakfast area had ample seating and staff was attentive! Enjoyed the couch and living room TV

Parking lot was always full, but overflow parking is available at restaurant next door Thank you, Jonathan, Michael, Ian, and the rest of the staff for a lovely stay! 5 stars!

I came home to lay a loved one to rest I must say that from check in to check out; the experience was nothing short of superb The gentleman that is the chef of the facility is one amazing human being

He helped me to my room because I had a lot of things to carry He also informed me that they have social gatherings between 5pm-7pm Monday-Wed The front desk staff assisted with anything I needed The king suite is ❤🧡❤🧡❤🧡The room was very clean Full amenities: fridge, stove microwave, dishes and cookware Extremely spacious The bed was so comfortable This is hands down the best hotel experience I have had coming back home to Memphis! Thank you guys for making this a pleasurable stay Especially considering the occasion

Alyssa

Only stayed for 1 night and honestly I choose places based on our needs and reviews So I was a little confused with my experience We were placed in the only room available based on my call to the hotel when I was inquiring about if dogs were accepted

Our room was on the 2nd floor and there was a noticeable foul odor immediately when we got off the elevator Room was acceptable, had a kitchenette but we didn’t need it The absolute WORST thing was the toilet did not properly flush It would fill up to the point I thought it would overflow and slowly drain It seemed like strong enough pressure to actually flush the toilet paper down but didn’t My husband and I had to use the public bathrooms downstairs, even in the middle of the night SO that’s why I give it a 1 star rating It was good enough to tolerate for 1 night but it was not comfortable And before management responds and ask why I didn’t say anything, would you after getting settled in with your pet and being told it was the last room available after booking through a third party site for a better price for a non-refundable $250 a night? The lady at check-in was nice but at checkout the women was on the phone the entire time, conversation wasn’t with a potential customer The situation could have been understandable if it was about the hotel as she was the only one working at the desk It’s a little rude in my opinion

I’ve stayed at the Memphis location when in the area for the 25 years I stayed here on 5/2/22, getting a reservation was once again a ridiculous hassle

Once there we got the room directly across from the staff supply room, in and out slamming the door a lot I had to use the pull out bed, terrible mattress and could feel the bar the whole time I was laying on it I called the front desk to get bedding for the pull out, “yeah come get it” was the reply I go get it from the front desk, when I start making my bed I notice the blanket is really thin I call the front desk again and ask for another blanket, again I get “yeah come get it” I go back to the desk, and then have to follow the employee back to the door across from my room and wait for them to get me another blanket! There was no conditioner in the shower, this isn’t the first stay that something soap wise has been non-existent When I first started coming to Memphis for doctor appointments, staying here was nice and I couldn’t say enough good things I don’t know what happened in the last year and a half but I will not be coming back Service, bed, supplies left much to be desired

Our AC went out and we were looking for an affordable place to take myself, my fiancé, his cousin, and our cat I called ten hotels and each one was full until I called Sonesta They said they had a room available, and when we drove there, Michael was a great help

He checked us in quickly and was very kind to us when he learned about our situation He ensured that we were in a very comfortable, air-conditioned suite The room was extremely comfortable, and at an affordable price, too Will definitely be staying here again!

Mitch Morgan

A few weeks ago, I booked a stay for 19 nights at this location on their corporate website Upon arrival, I was told my reservation did not exist even after showing a confirmation email What made the situation worse was the rudeness I encountered at the front desk

The lady had a horrible attitude, did not care about my situation, and basically told me to kick rocks After reading reviews, I should have avoided this location in the first place I emplore you to do the same as well

I’ll start by saying the front desk attendants were super friendly In all other aspects I don’t know how this hotel has such a high rating All of the fixtures looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in months

There was hair in the shower and sink when we arrived It just felt dirty Breakfast was a big disappointment There was some fruit, milk, juice, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, and toast, nothing filling I expected a lot more from the other reviews and the price

Caesar Alarcon

I checked in about 1:30 PM I never ask for a early check in The Hyatt I ask for a early check in Waco, Texas

They had no rooms available When we arrived in Memphis the hotel clerk wanted to charge me for a early check in I refusedI didn’t ask for this early check in Anyway your car is not safe in the parking lot The room was good The air conditioner work good The room has a sofa There also a refigerator in the room The shower was good

Tashala Williams

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nikita I requested a double if it was available and my request was honored Everyone was nice and prompt with any requests

We were there with a semi large group and a another large group was also there My only complaint was there was only one elevator in operation and the hotel was jammed pack Otherwise I will be staying again Sonya was also really sweet when checking out

This stay was one of the wildest hotel experiences of my life I’ve never walked into a hotel and not been able to find an employee at the front desk There were several people waiting in the lobby to be helped but there wasn’t a single employee around for several minutes

One of the other customers who was waiting started calling the front desk and offices but no one answered Finally someone came out and offered no apology or explanation; I understand that places are understaffed but management should train them to at least acknowledge that and apologizeWhen we got to our room, which was the Executive Suite, it was really bare bones with very little bedding and blankets and half a roll of toilet paper We ran out of toilet paper after 4 trips The breakfast situation is bizarre and you have to pay extra to get hot food You purchase a breakfast “ticket” to present at the breakfast barThe last girl who got us more toilet paper was extremely friendly and helpfulI know employees are underpaid and thus businesses are understaffed so Holiday Inn needs to work that out and perhaps offer better pay in order to attract employees in order to be adequately staffed I’ve never had a bad experience at a HI until now

Feels like an older hotel that has been recently renovated/updated Rooms are nice There’s also some meeting rooms and event spaces if you need that sort of thing

There’s an on-site pool, but I didn’t check it outKey cards for the rooms are finnicky They frequently stop working The guy at the front desk told us you can’t get them anywhere near a cell phone or similar electronics or it wipes them That doesn’t sound very practical in 2022 Maybe get better key card tech?Breakfast is weird If you want hot breakfast you have to have some voucher Otherwise, it’s cold breakfast only If those vouchers weren’t included with your room you can buy them (Though, if I’m paying for breakfast then I am just going to go to a legit full service restaurant) It seems to mostly create confusion and anger among the guests (just read the other reviews) So, I’m not sure what they were thinking Just provide hot breakfast to *ALL* of your guests and adjust room rates accordingly DuhFinally, to the d-bags who feel the need to park their long trucks and pick-ups with trailers sideways across 8 parking spots Could you maybe not do it right by the door? That’s rather selfish and obnoxious

Ruth Van Sandt

Just now leaving Hotel did a great job There was a couple sports teams in town and staff was kind, courteous, and engaged with everyone

Seemed to be doing well to keep everyone happy, including other guests like usQuite overpriced hotel in my opinion but seemed to be mostly because of the particular night we happened to be going through town

Both front Desk Clerks were very nice and helpful Hospitality was great The room was a different story

There was a strange smell as soon as you open the door, also the cabinet doors were falling off Hair on the towels in the bathroom Also the top white cover had brown spots on it Our shoes stuck to the kitchenette floor Also it looked like old gum stuck to the bedroom carpet We stayed in the room for 6 hours so my husband could rest and start driving again

Despite calling and verifying in March before booking the hotel, the pool was not open We knew it was going to be hot (it’s Memphis in June!) and had two children with us that we needed to entertain so specifically booked a hotel with a poolWe were not given the room we booked (two queen beds since we had 4 people in our room)

Instead we were given a room with a king bed and told to use the pull out sofa The pull out sofa had a twin size mattress with cigarette holes/burns in it I brought this to the attention of the staff at the desk and he said he couldn’t do anything about the mattress as that was a maintenance issue but he would make a note on it We all 4 slept in the king sized bed that night The next morning I spoke with the manager and she was able to get a twin sized trundle bed so at least we only had to sleep 3 in the king size bed the other 2 nights She blamed corporate for the pool issue While the rooms are non-smoking there is definitely a smoke covered with Febreze smell throughout the hotelThere was a kitchen in the room however you have to request cups, utensils, coffee maker, drying rack, dish soap, etc We requested cups and utensils and were given enough for 2 people despite having 4 people in our roomWe had a big group staying at the hotel (7 rooms in total) 1 left upon seeing their room (dead roach in the fridge), 1 left after 1 night (frustrated with having to ask for things that should have been in the kitchen like a coffee maker and cups), and 1 also didn’t get the room they booked

It’s such a wonderful place to stay, clean rooms, reasonably priced, but the staff is what makes this place 5 stars! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the warmth The restaurant was good, nothing to write home about, but again, the staff is so wonderful, I ate there twice There are plenty of food choices close by, that’s why I really can’t ding the hotel itself

There’s also Top Golf simulators in the lobby, nice little something to do when you come back for the night

Traveling with my large family makes it hard to find rooms where we all have a bed We were so pleased to have a room with 3 double beds (actual beds not uncomfortable sofa beds) The staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect including sneaking my ball playing son into the back room to grab some breakfast one morning before an early game that meant breakfast wasn’t out yet

Hotel was clean and overall pretty quite and the area felt safe We appreciated the smiles and hospitality and would definitely stay here again

The neighborhood is garbage, but the hotel is beautiful The people on staff are sweet and wholesome individuals that seem to care about their jobThe rooms are very nice with no major discrepancies, though there are a few minor cleaning errors and the like

Don’t mistake me Everything is generally sanitary It’s just that the rooms have a few small mistakes in cleaning Nothing harmfulThank you to whoever fluffed the pillows It was a good night’s sleep

I have stayed here many times and each stay was 3 weeks to 2 months (if not longer) I travel with my fiancé for his job and we spend many weeks & months in hotels When we are in the area for work this location is always the one we choose for many reasons

Extremely comfortable beds, clean rooms, accommodating to needs, as well as a friendly staff are just a few of the reasons The feeling of being welcomed back and remembered by the owners and staff always make us feel as if we are “coming back home” each and every time we visit I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the area

When we arrived we found that the outside security door was broken and did not close properly Having small children this was nearly a non-starter but being tired, decided to try anyways We then entered our room

Under the pullout bed was an empty bag of chips and it was very warm in the room After working with the front desk to resolve the issue we were asked to reset the AC (wall thermostat completely inoperable) unit to make the temperature drop That did not work and at that point we had enough and decided to leave Additionally, there were missing outlet covers in the hotel hallway, and the elelvator did not work stranding a person upstairs that needed it come to the lobby The only redeeming factor was the front desk staff member who seemed new but determined to keep things operating Unfortunately, it seems that most of the issues are beyond her control and management should be correcting the issues

Got a king room for my wedding night The room was on the first floor facing the back parking lot with SHEER curtains and no blinds I had to clip the decorative curtains closed and therefore turn off the heat so I didn’t start a fire

The shower was wheel chair accessible which was not needed for my wife and I but just the same the shower head was bolted to the wall on a slider It also flooded the floor and the towels were threadbare Overall not a fantastic experience

Carol Rowland

We’ve stayed here over the years, but no more Our room was not ready at 3:15, moved to another one Had ants in the bed, bath room door would not close at all, housekeeping came walking in at 8:30 and was wondering if anyone was in there so not fully dressed, got a call at 10:30 pm as we were sleeping to see in anyone was in the room, then our card to get into the room didn’t work

After all thisI don’t think that $29000 is appropriate All this in 2 days ! Sorry but we will not be back Alice Rowland

I am sorry for this low rating I gave two stars for its clean decent bathroom It is just that the hotel is old and outdated and has some musty smell

The air-conditioner is on the wall and located very near to one of the queen beds When it is on, it is so loud I couldn’t sleep all nightThe breakfast we had was not impressive either The muffin was stale My kid said the scrambled eggs tasted funny Even the ice water has some rusty taste to it

This place is rundown and dingy It is an inexpensive place to stay, but it’s not worth the cost savings There are mold issues and a general lack of maintenance that make this place iffy at best

The breakfast is decent and the staff is nice, but the rooms are bad, at least mine wasFor example, the faucet leaks and the solution, put a rag in the sink Showed up to this in my sink to stop it making noise when it drips Unacceptable**update**Toilet stopped flushing my last morning here Shouldn’t be surprised by it at this point

Security is a problem!! One of our family’s vehicles was broken into (smashed window added $450 to the stay) along with 5 other vehicles According to the police it’s a common occurrence and could be avoided with a security guardFor the price of the room, I would stay somewhere else because they do not spend money on upgrading or fixing things in the building

There were many obvious repairs that were needed and neglected Our room with a king bed was very small We were grateful we didn’t experience bed bugs Do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews, unfortunately we didn’t see them until we were checked in and thought maybe people were exaggerating, they weren’t!

I’d like to describe my stay but I’m not able to The day of my reservation While I was in route We were notified that our reservation was canceled

I wasn’t the only one Apparently there was a massive amount of damage caused by a leaky pipe It was so bad that that all of our baseball families For the tournament that weekend, had their rooms canceled as well When I asked the front desk the reason why just the baseball teams were canceled I was disconnected Yepthey hung up on meGreat hotel They overbooked, and we got the boot

Overall the room was cleaned and served the purposes it needed to The facility as a whole was average as the pool was closed and didn’t appear to have been maintained The bathroom in the room I was in had pink mildew/soap scum on the shower walls around the fixtures/handles and the drain didn’t work properly as the stopped could not be fixed into the up position so the tub filled with water as you showered and then had to hold the stopped up to drain it

The location is fantastic as there are two restaurants in front of the hotel property and several more within a few minutes drive as well as a Walmart
