We stayed here for Valentine’s Day as a staycation We live in the Twin Cities but wanted to do something special It was a lot of fun

We used their valet service which was nice We also took advantage of their rooftop spa, this was so amazing It’s a great place for just a special night They are extremely dog friendly so if you have a furry friend bring them along The only downfall, we had horrible service in the attached restaurant We stopped in for a late night drink and a snack in the bar area, our server ignored us the entire time Didn’t bring plates, napkins or silverware with the appetizer we ordered Finally got her attention and asked for napkins (we had ordered cheese curds – greasy – napkin was necessary) she finally sent someone else over after we were done and told them we didn’t need them anymore She was completely engaged with another table showing them pictures on her phone and carrying on a long conversation It was ridiculous

The hotel is beautiful It’s fairly easy to find and pull up front The roof- top hot tub and sky line view were awesome! The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable

We didn’t get a chance to check out the bar/restaurant but they look promising The valet experience could use a little work When paying over $400/night for the room and $48 for valet we were expecting for at least a little help unloading vehicles and bringing luggage to our room When leaving- call plenty early for the valet It took at least a half hour from the time we called to get the vehicle

C Parkman

The Hewing is no doubt a beautiful place to stay and well done for the city However the price you pay for a night doesn’t quite match the quality of what you get unfortunately For a price tag of $420 for a king size city view we were expecting a bigger room, plush hotel towels, robe’s, a more comfortable bed with a waterproof mattress cover that doesn’t make that plastic sound when you move on it, and at least a bottle or two of complementary water

We went up to the rooftop jacuzzi to enjoy the evening and it was right next to the roof top bar, which anyone can get into, so all the bar attendees are watching the hot tubers, it was a very weird and uncomfortable set up Needless to say we didn’t get it Your paying Ritz prices without the amenities

We held our wedding of ~70 people at The Hotel Landing, which included the following activities at The Hotel Landing:*Friday night – rehearsal, cocktail hour, and a welcome diner for everyone staying at the hotel*Saturday – private breakfast buffet for our guests, wedding ceremony in the Grand Ballroom, Cocktail hour, Dinner, & Dance*Sunday – Private breakfast farewell buffet for our guests staying at the HotelEverything was absolutely perfect! They got every detail right Perrie Meltzer, the Catering Salves Manger, was excellent to work with – she really made sure that everything was exactly how we wanted it to be! The wait staff were so polite and kind

Everyone at The Hotel Landing contributed to an excellent wedding weekend for usWe highly recommend The Hotel Landing!!!!

We held the Welcome Party for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding in the Wayzata room at the Hotel Landing Perrie and her staff were magnificent to work with! The bartenders and wait staff were so pleasant and accommodating! They filled our requests for the extra food with ease and a genuine desire to make our event so great! The bartenders kept the bar open for us as we slowly trickled out The venue was beautiful and everyone had a great time! No one wanted to leave! We will keep Hotel Landing on our short list for any upcoming events that we have to celebrate!

My daughter and son-in-law had their wedding reception at The Landing 2 months ago I wasn’t going to write a review, but after this long it is still bothering me, so I feel I must follow my heartThe facility was beautiful for a wedding

The caterers and the wedding planning staff were great during the planning process The food was delicious! However, this is where the positives endWe did not find out until after the hosted bar ended that the remainder of the evening was a cash bar I always thought “cash bar” meant that the wedding guests were just required to pay for their drinks…not that they literally needed “CASH” only to buy the extremely over-priced drinks This was very frustrating to many guests, and they ended up leaving early because of itThen around 8 PM the music and dancing started It was shortly after an hour after that the Wayzata police showed up as there were noise complaints from residents across the street In my opinion, The Landing should not be able to rent out their facility for anything with a music venue as we were told “this happens all the time” We didn’t appreciate it happening to our daughter and son-in-law, and on our dime It is extremely disconcerting to have police officers walking around your wedding reception…this happened twice in the eveningIt is now midnight, and we were told that everyone needed to leave the reception area as it was being locked up The hotel bar was already closed so the wedding party had nowhere else to go, so they decided to move to the Presidential Suite where the bride and groom were staying They had just gotten there when they received a nasty call from the front desk that they were being too loud- as defined by a disgruntled non-wedding guest from across the hall My room was just down the hall, and the only thing I heard was some appropriate wedding laughter in the hallway as they made their way to the Suite This lasted about 3 minutes Subsequently, they were not being loud, and the music was on very low However, the front desk complained twice more about the noise and started becoming very rude about it -even threatening to “kick them out” This begs the question of if we rented a block of rooms for our wedding guests- why was there a non-guest put right across the hall? He should not have been there in the first place and the front desk should have offered to move him I think we paid a lot more to be at the hotel for the evening than he didThe wedding party attempted to remedy the situation calmly and respectfully but were met with complete resistance and annoyed and unprofessional front desk staff After about 30 minutes of this, everyone went to their own rooms and the bride and groom were left sitting quietly on the couch looking very dejected and disappointed in how “their day” ended You won Landing- but look at what you didIn summary, the entire reception was tainted by all of these events, and we will never return to The Landing again as this has left a very “bad taste in our mouths” We certainly didn’t get our money’s worth and would not recommend anyone having an evening party/reception there with any music/dancing…unless you are a glutton for punishment

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and I could not be happier with the accommodations The bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing We felt well taken care of by literally everyone we came into contact with

The front desk always had smiles and asked how our day was, the valet was always quick, and the two women at the bar were so kind We walked down to Caribou Coffee two blocks down both days and felt safe This hotel is in an ideal spot and seems to be like 15 minutes from everything! We went to the spa and used some of the amenities before we left and felt so refreshed Just a heads up, you can get a day pass to the spa for $50 dollars per person If you have some downtime, I highly recommend it Great stay and we will definitely be back

Ross Nelson

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had an amazing stay! Some of the nicest accommodations we have ever had anywhere Briana made sure our stay was extra special and went above and beyond for us Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful! My wife had an amazing massage at the Adna Spa that is located on site

Breakfast in bed was delicious and high quality The whole place was incredibly clean We will definitely be coming back to Hotel Ivy next time we are staying in Minneapolis!

CHRISTINE NEHLS

The hotel is so clean and lavish We always upgrade to the high level floors where it’s most quiet All of our encounters with front desk staff, room service, house keeping, and engineering is impeccable

We always seem to have an issue with valet service including our most recent stay on 2/19/22-2/20/22 Upon arrival a young valet did not help the passenger out of the vehicle which is in very busy one way traffic nor did he assist the driver, just stood there and told us to leave our keys in the car and he left it unattended on a busy down town Minneapolis street We had to get our own luggage rack When you’re paying $48/day + tip, you expect a little more That afternoon upon trying to retrieve our car, the same young man and different young man acted like we were a huge inconvenience as a “walk up” even though we explained our text ticket didn’t work When returning that evening an extremely lovely older gentleman with a pony tail helped the passenger out of the car from heavy traffic and talked with the driver to make sure there was nothing further he could do for service before parking That’s what earns good tips and respect The same gentleman retrieved our car at check out and was so gracious in seating the passenger and loading our bags The Ivy needs to have that gentleman run a training course for its younger valet staff members

Stayed for 3 days, and each day was great :)! The bed was comfortable, and the AC in our room was perfect We could change it to 78° or 64° in no time! The shower pressure was lovely, and the showerhead was quite tall My partner is a tall guy, so the height was perfect

The breakfast was okay, but I don’t mind that too much The location is perfect too! You’re in the middle of everything you need

Jesselynne Thornton

I only stayed for a day, but it was a great stay! The hotel staff were nice, and they were able to accommodate me with an early check-in, so that was nice The room that I stayed in was spacious and very clean, as well If I had to critique something it would be that, some of the property seems to be undergoing renovations, so both of their pools were closed and some areas of the hotel were blocked off, but other than that great stay! I’d definitely recommend! 👍🏾

I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews because doing so feels like a detriment to my fellow man But in this case, to not write an honest review (could I give 0 stars?) would be to dismiss my duty to my fellow man to spare them this experienceFrist off, the atmosphere of the hotel is that of scraped walls in the hallway with loud and liquor scented guests

(That’s no exaggeration) Inside the room, all the normal features appear to be functional But what do we all really care about? The bed and the pillowsFirst off, the 5 pillows were square shaped (What is this a couch?) and devoid of either fluff or cleanliness We found several eye lashes on the casesPeeling back the now off white sheets showed us several long hairs, not our own And the smell from them was not that of freshly washed It didn’t smell used, but it also didn’t not smell used eitherWe arrived at 1am on a Thursday and within 5 minutes had made our way downstairs for a full refund Thankfully, they did do us that grace by giving us back our $155 for a Thursday night stay I may have considered staying if they had offered to pay me $155, but I likely wouldn’t have been the first one through those doors to make some cash on their sheets

First, off if you’re a family of six (four children and two adults) you are not all getting into the water park because each room only gets five water park passes You can’t purchase any extra Pool closes at 9:00 and you only can swim until noon the following day if you only stay for one night because they change wristband colors

Don’t pay for breakfast because you don’t actually get a breakfast They give you two breakfast coupons valued at $1000 a piece but you are only allowed one meal per coupon which the choices are slim and if you brought your kids well either your kids or you are going hungry McDonald’s breakfast is much better then what they offer which doesn’t say much The wait time for your food is ridiculous, your order isn’t even correct when you receive it This is due to the staff being unorganized or due to how breakfast is being run in the first place The whole situation is a joke You are allowed one drink but that doesn’t include coffee Bring your cleaning supplies because the room may be not up to standard At least ours was not The microwave was disgusting as well as the fridge Under the bunk beds was old food and containers Along our bed rails was some kind of soiled debris And the heater in our room gosh was it loud and I mean extremely loud which you were not able to sleep very well A few of us were crabby due to a lack of sleep For what I payed this is unacceptable and I probably would have benefited staying at the starlight motel (which is a two star motel) in Columbia Heights I would never stay here again and I wish I would have known because it was not worth the $60000 spent here Extremely unsatisfied and disappointed in this establishment for the way in which they have chosen to run this place Save your money and stay somewhere worth making memories because this isn’t the place

Katherine Fernandez

We booked this hotel because it had a water park inside Well the water slides are only open on the weekends which was not during our stay The pool is still really cool but the rope obstacle course was also closed

Our room was adequate It must be right above the kitchen because the entire hallway smelled like fish Staff was responsive and sprayed air freshener Breakfast is not included but there is restaurant with a very limited menu They have a breakfast bar like I expected but again only open on the weekends So if you are going on a weekend this place is great Someone from the hotel called me ahead of time to tell me about the water slides but my whole family had already booked in It’s clean and comfortable but not as cool or nice as it looks online

Daniel Stenzel

Very disappointed I got the two night minimum renting a room with a kitchenette $1,000 BUT they forget to tell you there’s no dishes, no silverware nothing

That’d be nice to know considering they knew it was coming for a children’s birthday party CAN NOT have food in the pool area if that was your idea for the birthday party My very expensive room, not very clean the jacuzzi tub had a dirty film and hair in it I attempted to order food from my room and got hung up on twice before the front desk said she’d just take my order, she told me she didn’t know she could Long story short I never got my food they never called when it was done nor told when it would be done, very confusing If you’re heading this way bring everything but the pool You’re welcome to use my second night for free We’re heading to the Great Wolf Lodge water park

We coordinated with the Hilton Garden Inn for a room block for our wedding in Maple Grove We also hosted a breakfast buffet for the wedding guests who stayed there overnight We had an excellent experience working with the Hilton Garden Inn and its staff

The sales manager, Bernie, was easy to work with and professional He answered all of our questions and made sure that we had everything we needed The hotel was able to provide a shuttle to the venue for our guests which was easy to organize and very useful For our breakfast event the room the hotel provided was large and well equipped to host our guests None of our guests (including ourselves) had any complaints about the hotel rooms We had an excellent experience working with the Hilton Garden Inn and would highly recommend it

Great service!Excellent guest service from gentleman in the breakfast area I believe his name is George This man was wonderful to our whole family that was in Minneapolis for a wedding

He was super helpful, kind and kept a very clean dining areaFront desk staff were friendly and helped my father by printing out a map Very friendlyMaintenance gentleman was super helpful and made sure we were perfectly set up in conference room Didn’t want us to have to worry about anythingRooms were clean and I slept like a baby!Manager was easy to work with while helping coordinate the rooms and paid attention to our needs! All the way around a great experience!

Stephanie Niccum

The hotel looks very nice Aside from a few housekeeping issues such as a dirty shower floor the rooms were ok Our pull out had no sheets, pillows, blankets

We had to ask for them and all we received was a blanket that was just placed on the front desk for us yo have to pick up The first night was one of the worst nights sleep I have ever had There was a group partying next door to us Loud music, yelling, slamming doors, etc We called the front desk and they “warned” them I called a 2nd time and the front desk wouldn’t answer when I called on the room phone so I called with my cell phone They “warned” them again alas this party was not going to stop and they were still at it at 2:30 am When I asked the front desk about it in the morning I was met with contention My suggestion if you have an issue with noise complaints don’t even bother with the front desk just call the cops The workers here are useless The breakfast wad also less than to be desired They have toasters with cream cheese and butter but only offered pre wrapped muffins What a joke

Alison Tisdell

The service was extremely poor The staff was not knowledgeable about any questions we had We had reserved a double queen room and were put in a single king room

This does not work when we have children with us The light socket in our room had prongs from a cord stuck in it The doors didn’t close all the way They held over $1100 on my card while we were there When we asked for clean towels for our room they were left sitting on the dirty hallway floor instead of put in our room I will never be staying at this hotel again

The breakfast staff was attentive and the food was delicious! The entire facility was clean- housekeeping staff does a great job!! I was so impressed with how friendly and helpful every staff member was! Everyone was very professional!

It was a beautiful hotel but they were also hosting professional soccer players and we did not feel we were treated like we were as important as the other guests We arrived for our honeymoon, which was noted in the reservation by our travel agent and we didn’t even hear a congratulations from the staff I would not say that anything was bad, it was a lovely hotel overall but for 4 star accommodations, we will book elsewhere in the future

So, this is supposed to be a higher end hotel Don’t be fooled Initially I was in room 803 with sight lines of the air conditioning systems on the roof just next door

The buzz kept me restless all night The next day I requested a change Now, room 1616 was totally fine Quite, airy, bright all the things you expect Even the shower system was better — multiple body sprays versus one in the lower level room So the disparate room situation aside the doorman at night is a nightmare to deal with A simple question begets sarcasm and riddles Asked if I could park on the street overnight, he told me to read the sign I did Again, is it legal to park on the street, I’m not from here and the sign only says to feed the meter between certain hours In Chicago, street parking is tricky It takes a native to interpret Finally I decide to park for free just outside the hotel doors and pay the meter starting at 8am I saved that $50/night hotel parking fee He was speechless when I approached the hotel with my room key to enter Terrible I wouldn’t stay there again no matter how discounted the rate is The Keurig didn’t work The shower has peeling tape (room 803), the very old bathroom TV doesn’t work and I’m still not sure why it’s situated opposite the toilet, but that’s another story Oh, and Room 803 had broken glass in the bathroom when I checked in Housekeeping had to come clean it up This place is a mess

I was at this location for an event We were able to check in early and get ready in our room before the event started The event was a little hard to get to as we needed to walk through a different event

The servers at our event were not consistent with their policies and we were charged for things one time and not others that were not consistent with the information shared with guests prior to the event Our room itself was nice but fid have some small issues One of the electrical outlets didn’t work causing us to choose between a lamp or an alarm clock The toilet did not flush completely and left toilet paper Would need two flushes to clear The hotel is very nice inside and the decor is appealing, however the outside is a bit stark

Paul Wheeler

This could easily be a top hotel but no breakfast in the restaurant on offer for example along with having to pay for room WiFi is tough to accept I travel the world for business and I NEVER pay for room WiFi It is 2022 after all so get with the program Marriott hotels

Super friendly staff and a comfortable room make up for these shortfallsjust Cheers Paul

Updated (5/28/2022) Back again visiting family in the Twin Cities Clean, and we couldn’t be happier to be back at this Marriott location! PREVIOUS: Our room is spacious, clean and comfortable! The hotel is well located for our visiting needs while in Minneapolis Our room was well appointed with extras not found at other hotels in this category Front desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful

This will be our “go-to” location in the future when we come to visit Thank you for making our stay just that much more pleasant!!!

Christopher Keller

First I want to say how amazing the staff are, specifically Bill and his team max and chutney were tonight I’ve never seen such genuine care for the well being of every guest, but also the way bill treated his employees and that clearly permeates throughout the entire hotel which is why we will never go anywhere elseOn a side note, the “Venitian” waterpark is spelled wrong

I made mention of it to the front desk manager and she didn’t seem to care , guess I know who spelled it wrongThanks again to the night team for taking care of my guys who are in town all week for training

Jason B

I would say that about 95% of the Marriott hotels I have stayed in have never disappointed! This being one of them, I only had one issue and that was with my mobile room key, which was easily fixed with a regular room key However, my stay was amazing, the staff was friendly and the outdoor hot tub! Sitting in the hot tub when it’s cold out, is amazing! There is shopping and restaurants in walking distance, there also is food and bar right in the lobby in case you just don’t want to venture out! Definitely will stay again!

I’ve been to this hotel many times just to use the water park but this time decided to stay the night The room was immaculate, not a spot of dust or dirt to be found Staff were super friendly and helpful ( can’t say the same for the children that work the water park area ) but the staff who clean and worked the hotel were amazing

The water park is fun for all ages but do not expect the youngsters that work it to help or give guidance in any way

I’ve been going to this waterpark for years I get that the pandemic has hampered hiring, but it’s pathetic that they can’t do a load of towels in 6 hours Why not issue one towel to each guest as they enter and make their wristband? Rules are super lax unless you accidentally take a tube out of the lazy river

Chemicals are through the roof in the hottub Most likely due to the large number of kids allowed in by disrespectful parents and lack of staff Apparently you’re allowed to bring in giant tumblers of “mommy’s water” to avoid buying really reasonable drinks at the awesome concession stand I used to go once a year for the kids birthday parties but will avoid for the foreseeable future

It had clean rooms, but the thing that really got me was that the walls were so thin You could hear when anybody walked in the halls, and I could hear the people from the room next to us Also in the pool area, it was super hard to get a floaty especially the singular ones

So I was unable to go down the certain slide that required a similar floaty I wish I could have had a double floaty to go down it But overall it was fun will do again!

Stayed here for a convention My room had bugs Woke up with bites in multiple places

The location was convenient with access the convention center The service is exceptional by some employees The hotel restaurant hosts and servers were exceptional A certain bartender who I won’t name needs some etiquette and costumer service training due to her dismissive behavior The manager did remedy the issue quickly

DON’T PAY STANDARD PRICEFirstly, I had quite a big discount and was able to split the cost with a friend If this wasn’t the case I don’t feel this would be worth itThe foyer is extremely nice and fancy

The facilities are goodRoom was old-fashioned but nice Clean bathroom and room in-generalIf you’re receiving anything it’ll cost $7 per parcel which is one thing that wasn’t advertisedAnother was that they take a $600 security deposit until your stay is over They put a hold on your card I believe which gets released a few days afterAll-in-all it was a nice stay but the standard price is extremely expensive for what you get

We stayed there last week and the room and hotel were nice However, the service we have received was less than what we have ever gotten at a Hilton brand hotelAn item was left there on accident and we called within an hour of leaving and left a message with housekeeping and the front desk about where the item was left

No one followed up with us on if they had found it or not I called the next 3 days each and got no responses i was transferred to corporate who said they would escalate the case and find out why i was never contacted Several days later after hearing nothing again, i emailed corporate and they said it would have to be handled at the hotel since it fell under lost and foundI would have been content if someone called and said they were looking for it or could not find it But it has been 9 days since our stay we i have still received no communication from the hotelWe have stayed at Hilton hotels many times and have been overall pleased with the experience in the past However, I would not recommend staying at this particular location It will meet your needs if you just need a room to stay and want appropriate service during your stay If you are looking for good service before and after your stay, i would encourage you to find a different hotel

Check in was a breeze Be aware there is a $50 refundable deposit but that is typical Room was clean, spacious, & modern

Unfortunately there was maintenance being done on the pool & hot tub during my stay Affordable for Hilton if you book through a 3rd party site I don’t really have anything bad to say about this place My stay was amazing!

I paid about the same amount to stay at the Holiday in as I did here and definitely would go with Holiday in instead The double tree does not provide free breakfast in the morning like Holiday in didHoliday inn has a big breakfast selection and really good! Fresh fruits, juices, and healthy stuff

Also the hot tub was down so I took stars away for that Also they had barely any channels 😕On a positive note for Double Tree, I liked that double Tree was close restaurants, shopping, theater and groceries stores though!

Especially appreciate the dog-friendly policy Very welcoming to visitors traveling with pets Location is convenient to many downtown destinations

Adjacent ground level parking lot Staff helpful and polite Common areas were clean and pleasant My only complaint is that we were not notified upon check-in that we needed to request housekeeping services, so we were disappointed to return from a day of sightseeing to a room which had not been cleaned

Stacey M

I would not recommend a stay here, primarily due to rude and incompetent staff We had to get our keys reprogrammed each day as 3 different employees seemed to only know how to program them until 1:00 pm

the next day They then lied to us that we must have been putting the cards next to our phones Both cards held by different people stopped working at the same time with each set we got And neither was keeping the card anywhere near their phones We then encountered people in the elevator that had to the same thing happen to them each day, and also encountered rude staffThis hotel is listed as a “plus”, but does not include the basics They do not have a complimentary breakfast, there is not a microwave in most rooms, a safe was in the location above the fridge where the microwave should have been This was extremely inconvenient, and added extra costs on an already quite expensive hotel nightly rateVery disappointed

The room was nice love the tiny kitchenette and the bedroom being separate but, that’s where the fun ends I spent two nights and it cost me over 60000 which is way more then I could afford but it was our anniversary

Restaurant is way overpriced for the food I ordered room service got two drinks, a burger, a dinner with a very small piece of meatloaf, two oysters, 4 bite sized donuts with cold chocolate syrup and two deviled eggs, they charged me 17000 I didn’t even get the fries that was supposed to come with the burger What’s worse is the food was cold The hotel charged 1200 a day for parking I was told nothing about being charged for parking when I checked in Got a few drinks at the bar drinks were between 1000-2000 each It was 1000 just for a shot They didn’t even give you a receipt so you could at least see what you were getting charged for The man that works overnight is very eude I was trying to ask questions he kept walking away not listening and kept saying theywill help you when you check out I wanted a detailed receipt of everything we got charged but all he said is when you check out I mean that’s fine I can wait till I check out it’s the tone of voice and the way he acted

Very friendly staff and great and easy check in and out process Room was decent for the price Pillows weren’t the most comfortable and they could have provided more shower supply

Location isn’t the best as it isn’t close to any major points in the city

DW

Merky, at the front desk, was great in helping usThe bedding and towels were clean and freshThe pillows were a little hard and the carpet had some large ink stains in it

Never been disappointed with this hotel Wife and I have been coming here for years

it’s actually our little escape Have always been treated extremely well, service in the lounge has always been great, and the restaurant is really good Nice comfortable and non generic hotel Decided to stay a night for our anniversary, and there was champagne and snack tray waiting I have traveled a lot and this is a hidden gem

Tayler Trottier

Was told over the phone when made my reservation that I was getting a double queen bed room for 165/night Got there and they gave us a double bed room for 225 a night and told me they had no others rooms and would not switch me Staff was very rude if I could find or talk to anyone

Warm water was scarce if you wanted to shower And the staff told me I could not get extra towels The lady Watching over the pool was very rude and yelled at multiple children Definitely do not stay if you have any children under the age of 18 Was told only some rooms come with the continental breakfast and our double room was one that didn’t Elevators had problems all day, started taking the stairsOverall experience: worst hotel I have ever stayed at I DO NOT recommend this for anyone! If you do stay, make sure it’s the room you asked for the the price they say

Cybertow

Right away the hotel will get your attention as it is very large, and uniquely builtThe service however has been poor since I arrived I asked at the front desk when we arrived if I could purchase a room upgrade which I was quickly told no

Clerk at the counter refused to look in the computer system Later in the evening I went to the bar to get myself a drink, I arrived at 10 and sat down at the bar, and tried to order myself a drink where I was turned away by the manager who said they were closed When I questioned about the half full room of customers who were enjoying their drinks he asked me to leaveI definitely have a bad taste in my mouth about the service and do not recommend staying at this hotel is you want good service
