Let me start by saying that I am a very understanding individual and that if you look at all of my reviews they are typically 5 star I was deeply disappointed in our families stay this weekend To start, this room was over $200 a night, so it wasn’t some $50 motel

If you decide to stay at this hotel, DO NOT stay in room 133 I repeat, DO NOT book this room (133) I included pictures to back up my claims This room is completely surrounded by noise and maintenance! Directly across from the room is laundry and you will hear it!!! The washers and dryers will be running and they leave the door open They also line the hallway with their service carts, so you deal with that every time you enter or exit the room To the left of the room is a public bathroom and to the right of the room is a water heater Again, you will hear them all night! Directly outside your window are 6 big air conditioning units that also kick on and off constantly! They are very loud The swimming pool is very nice for the kids but it is very cold They offer a continental breakfast, but make sure you check everything! Most food had expired dates, from the yogurt to the creamer They were not a day or two out of date either, they were literally weeks expired!!!! I also watched an employee remove a sausage from the breakfast area with his bare hands and eat it When I was showering, the shampoo container was completely empty and the body wash pump was broken The only bottle that worked was the conditioner I can honestly say that the hotel should not book room 133, or if they do, it should be deeply discounted and the customer made aware of the issues PS- the headboard in room 133 either needs to be spray painted again or replaced as the paint is peeling

Lee Wasson

Our stay wasn’t that great but the follow up customer service to rectify the challenges we’d had with our stay was top notch Sometimes anomalies occur, and, based on other reviews, our stay fell into that category 5 stars on the follow up but the stay still could have been handled better in real time so overall a four

Kudos on making things right afterwards – very much appreciated!

The ice machines weren’t working so you had to have the front desk get you some from the Cafe The breakfast is made to order and is NOT included with your room cost Coffee and fruit are offered free however

The hot tub was out of order and the pool was too cold for my liking so we didn’t utilize that amenity Also the guest laundry feature was out of order Check out was noon and I was able to have a late checkout til 1pm without extra charge Beautiful back yard with large gas fireplace over looking the river made up for all the other things out of order though Very nice Service from staff was excellent

Wow So disappointedOur reservation, made months in advance, was changed without notice, leaving us short on rooms for a family get-together

Suites were dusty Wifi went down at one point Carpets weren’t clean Keys didn’t work Mattresses were saggy And, two credit cards were compromised after being left in a room for the dayCome on, Marriott You can do betterI’m giving it two stars because at least the manager and desk clerks were polite and tried to help

Room was a nice size Bathroom was sizeable though the sink was outside in the room Shower head had 2 settings which was nice with good pressure and fast hot water

The fridge in the room was a good size so was good for storage The bed was soft and small bit firm so we slept comfortably The staff was friendly The breakfast had variety I’d definitely stay again!

Julian Stirrat

They didn’t clean the rooms while we were out, there’s almost nothing to watch on TV Some channels were frozen, some had two languages at once, and some were even blind people channels where they narrated what was happening Also, the was very bumpy and loud; I did not feel safe riding it

The best part was the beds and the proximity to many attractions including Kennywood

James Paddock

Worst hotel I have stay in this year Cold water was shut off to both the shower and the sink Turn down the cold water for the sink but couldn’t find the turn on for the shower

The sink stopper wouldn’t work The shower stopper wouldn’t work The fridge was frozen up And if you’re a big person you don’t fit on the toilet Whoever’s doing your remodel is a hack and you should fire them And all I got was a thanks for letting me know all these problems were there Will never stay here again

This was BY FAR THE BEST HOTEL WE HAVE STAYED IN, in the Pittsburgh area! Our room was a 2 bed Queen Suite Room was phenomenal, property was clean, safe, and welcoming Jessica at front desk for check in was amazing! They let us check in early with no hesitation and also gave us a late check out with no questions! We came from Florida for Family Court and the stay exceeded our expectations for a calming experience before court

Breakfast was amazing, lots of options! Pool was nice and clean and I just can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had

Vicki R

I typically avoid Choice Hotels like the plague They’re all franchised with no set standards for customer service or quality This one, however, is one of the best hotels I’ve used even compared to Hilton, Marriott, or Holiday Inn

The rooms are clean, there are ample amenities, and the pool is warm and welcoming The bed is firm but cozy It has a down alternative comforter that I wanted to take home with me The side tables are large enough to hold a drink, a phone, and a lamp at the same time with room to spare Although the TV had the typical channels on it with nothing I cared to watch, I was able to plug my Roku in and stream all my shows as usualBreakfast was ample There was the typical fare you find in most hotels: eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles for the warm side Cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit (actually fresh, never bruised or old) I could go on, but I’m just going to say there was something for almost everyoneStaying in this hotel was really the only bright point on this trip in Pennsylvania

Dave Smilie

We stayed here our first night in town and liked it enough to book one more night before leaving townBoth times, the person at check-in was friendly, efficient, and went out of her way to accommodate usThe grounds and facility were both impeccably clean

Our room, a suite, was spacious and well appointedWhile the location is close to downtown, getting here (or anywhere in Pittsburgh) is an ordeal of one way streets, fast cars, and chaos That’s the only knock on a great place to stay

I used a third-party for purchasing my hotel stay I was visiting my friend for the week and weekend, and the hotel did NOT deliver excellent service I was told the standard king room I requested online had a maintenance problem

The staff would not elaborate about why they couldn’t give me the room, until I had heard it from a manager later during my stay Then while I was there, I stepped in something small on the hotel room floor that looked like chocolate or poop I don’t know I took it to the front desk in a tissue No one did anything when I complained I also had to be in charge of throwing out my own hotel room garbage in front of the door Also all the other hotel rooms had their rooms cleaned while they stayed, but mine was NOT cleaned until we left Their excuse was that their housekeeping was short staffed I’m disappointed in the hotel and the travel website I used to book the room The breakfast was acceptable, but everything else wasn’t Best to go to a hotel that actually LISTENS and cares about excellent customer service Not a good hotel to pass through in Pittsburgh

Paul Martin

Extremely friendly staff Very clean room including the small details other hotels overlook or just do a poor job of cleaningI was an extremely late arrival

After a long day of travel, the front desk employee made check in easy and accommodated my stupid request after I had checked inThe only negative I can think of is a minor complaint at best One driveway is closed It’s not well marked and there is no clear direction on how to access the parking lot but it wasn’t that hard to figure out even though it was a very dark night and well after midnight It may have added two minutes into my arrival time See, minor issueI was here for business When I have to come back to our facility nearby, I will stay here again

Rosemarie Smith

I called several weeks in advance to confirm that I needed a handicapped walk in shower The desk person I spoke to said she made a note on our reservation When we arrived we were told no handicapped room was available

For 5 days we did not have the accommodation that we requested and paid for The manager was rude and uncaring of the situation She simply said we don’t look at the notes and that was that!!!Breakfast was good and the other staff was nice

This hotel rates among the mediocre of Hilton properties all aroundThe quick: for $100 it wasn’t the best Hilton brand hotel we’ve stayed in, but it wasn’t the worstThe long version:We stay exclusively on Hilton Properties because we find that we have the most success with them

We’ve never stayed at a Home2 Suites prior to this stay and I think we will continue to stick with Homewood Suites, or others, when possible instead We did like that this still had the “suite” feel and had a kitchenette and more of a studio like feel for the spaceFor us, on a personal note, this hotel had smoking and non smoking rooms as well as allowed pets However, they don’t have any rooms that are pet free So if you have common pet allergies that would be a concern, pick a different hotel to be safe They did advise they clean well and use a spray but I don’t think their version of clean would help someone with severe allergiesThis location had salted the walkways but not shoveled it The parking spaces and walkways were thick with slushy, mucky, and salt mixed snowUpon arrival, we were greeted not terribly, Just not very professionally We were checked in quickly, which was great I was able to get our free waters when I asked for them the next day, but they weren’t offered upon arrivalThe room was not the cleanest; there were splatter marks from something on at least one of the walls The bathroom door needs to be wiped down as it’s visually grimy (I was able to take a wash cloth and wipe away the prints and stains visually visible But how unsanitary it must be for them to neglect sanitizing such a common surface) There was food debris in the living room lounge area as well Basically, cleaning could use a little helpThere were only 3 pillows on a King bed instead of the usual 4 and there were no extras in the room anywhereA breakfast was available The set up is a bit crammed and people kept bumping into one another, but it wasn’t bad The breakfast is always a great amenity in our eyes even if it’s not the best food They generally have a pretty decent variety of foodI di love the Hilton Honors app so I could check us out on our own No stopping at the front desk

Tonya Vincent

I can honestly say I would stay here over and over I had surgery today Aug 23rd,2022 and had to stay in hotel and the staff was amazing and helpful The place was very clean and the coffee is AMAZING

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR YOUR STAY THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF I spoke to Glenn this evening and told him how I loved it here and I’m sorry I can’t remember the girls names but they were very sweet also to me I also like to say Glenn was very kind when I asked for a extra pillow for my stomach due to surgery

Valerie Hassett

The facility itself is very nice Great location and close to restaurants We stayed here for a family reunion in Pittsburgh

We had a pleasant experience overall The rooms were very spacious and clean I enjoyed having a kitchen The breakfast bar was nice The man that ran the breakfast bar was extremely friendly and helpful! Great service! He even came in on his day off due to large crowds and staffing shortagesThey were really understaffed! We stayed a week and never got room service They said they didn’t have staff for it except every 4 days It never happened We had to ask for extra suppliesThere were some things that needed maintenance The back door lock didn’t work We had a gathering on the back patio and had to use a towel to prop open the door The lobby women’s bathroom paper towel dispenser didn’t work I mentioned it several times They put a roll of paper towels in but it didn’t last long I got tired of having to ask for more paper towelsHopefully they get more staff to help maintain thingsOne more thing, our room smelled like a wet dog had been there It wasn’t visibly dirty just smelly

The pool was a major hit with our son and we loved the hot tub! Thanks to all the staff! If visiting Greensburg in the future this is definitely where we’ll stay

There is a wonderful lady at the front desk, I didn’t catch her name but I did bring her a bunch of crumbl 😉 so find her and tell her what a great job she is doingAlong with her, that dude James is phenomenal Going above and beyond to make things feel like home

The room is nice and clean and has a decent view! Pool and spa were fantastic Bed firm but not hard 🙂 safe area set apart from main access Sooo nice

Stayed here for work, it was a nice hotel, but rooms are outdated and weren’t as clean as I hoped It is possible the sheets weren’t replaced since the last guest and the bathroom still had an old soap wrapper lying around which just tells me the room isn’t cleaned thoroughlyThe service was great and I had no other issues during my stay

It was good Christine at the front desk was amazing and gave us so many restaurant recommendations! However, the room was not very clean to Marriott standards and the couch had some very questionable stains on it which I would not sit on I even tried flipping the cushions but they were on both sides

The bed was comfortable and very good water pressure Breakfast was good

Customer service was and is always outstanding We have stayed at this hotel for years when coming home to visit family I’m retired military and my son is active duty

He and my granddaughter arrived early on our last visit and the staff was very accommodating in getting them a room close to us Breakfast was very good and the area was very clean Once agian, all hotel staff personnel were friendly and very attentive Big hit for us were the room(s) this visit Curtains/shades had large cuts and red stains all over them, floors were greasy and slippery in kitchen and bathroom area, etc (Big decline)If the rooms and some of the common/hallway areas get a make over/cleaned up that would improve your ratings and prevent us from seeking another hotel with better/cleaner accommodations I hope you make these suggested modifications because we really do love staying at the this hotel

Jay Mack

Overall, I would have to say that I was very disappointed in our stay at their hotel My son and I were just there for a baseball tournament and we stayed at their hotel When we arrived, there was a sign on the front desk stating that the pool was closed (nice feature and part of our decision to stay there with a baseball team needing to unwind between games)

I inquired and they said it would be fixed and ready to go the next day We found out later that evening it wouldn’t be fixed until Monday after we were gone They offered no form of apologies or compensation for thisNext, I called and asked if they could send up sheets and a pillow for the pull out sofa (used to be standard in the room or hospitality would send it up) and they told me to come and get it from the front deskFinally, our room had a kitchenette and I found it curios that there were limited plates and utensils in the cabinet I looked in the dishwasher and found it full with water and grime sitting in the cups and bowls (ones which were not upside down to allow the water to drain) I found this disturbing because I have no idea how long they were sitting there and would not use themI don’t think I would stay at this particular hotel again!

Clean, quite and a good location The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly The rooms were clean and quiet

Breakfast had something for everybody; waffles that you could make, pastries, cereal, eggs, bacon, juice and coffee There is pool outside and on site parking The hotel is located just off PA 30 and is close to New Stanton Newly renovated, it was very cozy I would give this place a 5 but one of the towels in my room was dirty, so close to perfection

Sabrina Heischman

We like Hamptons and have stayed at many over the years, I must say this is the nicest one we’ve been too It has a nice modern look and vibe The staff were all pleasant

The room was nice- nice comfortable beds, had a nice shower (with good water pressure!) and exhaust fan in the bathroom that helped with the steam from the shower as well The breakfast was good, they had a decent selection and was kept full Everything looked very clean as well Definitely an excellent example to follow! If we’re in Greensburg again, we WILL be back!

Great hotel, clean Staff was friendly We needed a night stay to pick my daughter from a nearby camp and this one is definitely on the list for us to use again next year when she goes to camp again

Had my daughter’s wedding shower in the restaurant on the top floor Absolutely beautiful view We couldn’t open the windows or really utilize the outside space because of the weather but was still great

We had buffet lunch – 6 different small bites items and each was tasty Loved the cream cheese cucumber sandwich especially Lots of staff dedicated to us and everyone was very friendly and helpful

The location of this hotel is fantastic Hotel parking is valet only and it’s $25 We asked for extra towels when we checked in and never got them

We stayed in a deluxe king room The room was clean and nicely appointed, but small I shudder to think of what the micro rooms are like size wise I don’t know what size the bed was It was larger than a queen, but it definitely wasn’t a standard 76″ wide kingThe weeknight price wasn’t bad for the room But I’d drop dead before I’d pay what they’re charging for a weekend stay

Victoria Morningstar-Poole

I really enjoyed my stay here It was only for a night but I had wished it was for a bit longer afterwards There is so much to do around this hotel and get to experience from shopping to great food

My room was clean and had everything I needed I loved how nicely stocked the coffee and tea was I also thought it was nice they had a bottle of water supplied Everyone was so helpful and kind at the hotel and checkin was very easy as well as understanding the valet parking that is offered

The hotel was nice but when my family and I walked in I was surprised that the front desk staff didn’t even greet us with a “Hi, how are you doing today?” Instead they just stared at us and made us feel uncomfortable The breakfast was lackluster and provided little to no healthy options besides an applePast that housekeeping did a great job

Stacey Phillips

The room was very clean and tidy Hot breakfast is not being offered Was surprised by the stoic receptionist at the front desk who didn’t bother to provide me with information regarding amenities offered by the hotel or even greet me upon check in

Upon checkout, the young lady at the front desk, failed to enquire from any guests leaving the premises about their stay Clearly this establishment does not value the patronage of its customers As I travel, I notice that the standards of Marriot brand that I have grown accustomed to are diminishing This is sad!

Awesome weekend stay with my kids! Very spacious and clean lobby upon entering the hotel We were greeted by two employees at the front desk with a warm friendly welcome Check-in was quick and easy

We were told that breakfast ends at 10am on the weekends before we headed up to room on the 4th floor The associate also told me that if we needed anything not to hesitate and just ask Elevators were quick and clean Once we got to our room and opened the door we were very impressed The room temperature was perfect, the room was clean, and the carpet floor was beyond clean The bathroom was spacious and had everything from towels to shampoo, conditioner, and body wash A hairdryer was even present!!! The beds were extremely comfortable with both soft and firm pillows provided The tv was a large flat screen mounted to the wall which could be pulled out and turned right or left for optimum viewing angles There was a nice size closet, a desk, a fridge, and an iron This hotel is our go to when we stay in the Pittsburgh area!!!

Convenient location of the highway Clean and well maintained facilities Easy and enough parking

Free breakfast spread had enough options to satisfy everyone in our party Beds, pillows, and blankets are super comfortable AC cools great for a restful night’s sleepOnly gripe is that the bathroom door has no locks Ok for the single traveler or couples, not so great for families

Enjoying my stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in North Huntingdon, while my home is being fixed from water damage Staff is pleasant and helpful Breakfast is pretty good and included with stay

My room was not the cleanest, but was not to overly dirty just the office chair is cloth and it shows extreme use and could use cleaning Room also smelled a little dog I think they are pet friendly hotel, so I guess it’s kind of understandable just not preferred!

Stayed at this hotel for a week while in town for a family event I usually stay in Monroeville when visiting, but decided to give this hotel a try!•Strengths: The room was clean and in good condition upon arrival Elevators and stairwells were also clean and well maintained

Generally quiet during week day evenings/overnight when there were fewer guests Wifi connection was strong enough to allow for remote work Most days of my visit, breakfast food and coffee were available and fresh When the room’s AC unit leaked water all through the carpet, one of the staff members who was cleaning rooms was able to help submit a maintenance request for me, maintenance came out within an hour or two, fixed the issue, and cleaned up before they left The location is great, especially if accessing the Turnpike•Weaknesses: No spare rolls of toilet paper and a nearly empty Kleenex box at arrival, so had to ask for more during the stay The fan on the window unit only runs while heating/cooling and there is no bathroom fan, so the room can get damp easily (plus with the AC issue, the room needed some Damprid or a dehumidifier, but those weren’t provided) There is construction across the parking lot that you can hear from inside, and they started early in the morning some days — could also hear people in the other rooms, so not as soundproofed as one might hope On my last day, they ran out of coffee for the 8-9AM breakfast rush, but luckily there are Sheetz and Starbucks nearbyOverall, a newer hotel (compared to most in the area), with decent amenities, helpful staff, and clean/well maintained shared use spaces and rooms

I booked a room here about 9 months in advance of my trip and locked in a great rate About 1 month before my trip I received an email saying my reservation was cancelled When I tried to rebook the hotel was sold out and other hotels in the area wère 4x my original rate

I called the hotel and spoke to the manager, which offered no help and said I cancelled the rez, which was not true I simply think they cancelled it so they could resell my room for a higher rateI’m also a Platinum member with Mariott, which means I spend about 100 nights a year away from my family So this is a slap in the face Thanks Marriott!

Reservation cancelled – no compensation or rebooking assistanceI stayed at this property multiple times in the last few years, and will never returnI had planned to stay at this property for a wedding in April of 2022 Knowing how busy Pittsburgh gets around graduation time, I booked my room in October of 2021, naively believing I would be able have confidence in my travels

After all, I’m a Titanium rewards member, and Marriott values loyalty, right?Wrong My reservation was cancelled a few days ago without my consent Out of the blue, the hotel emailed me (and I can only assume every guest) that “the hotel was in a place where we had to make the tough decision to close due to the pandemic We regret to share we will not be reopening by April as we hoped, which requires us to cancel your reservation Due to nature of the pandemic and the economic implications the city’s hospitality industry has been affected with, the hotel’s closure relocation will not be provided by the hotel”The hotel was not listed as closed at any point prior to this surprise announcement Even more, the property manager, Brian McCahill, refused to offer any compensation, despite the fact that – due to their cancellation of my reservation – I am now shopping for hotels that are charging as much for a single night as I was going to pay for my whole stay! When I contacted Mr McCahill to receive the compensation benefits promised to reward members when the property pulls a stunt like this, I was again denied and disappointed He took no responsibility for the inconvenience he put upon his guests, and insisted that the delta variant is somehow responsible for this decision, despite delta rates peaking 5 months agoAll in all, this property is a disgrace to the Marriott brand I will never stay here again, and encourage any visitors to Pittsburgh to do the same unless you too want to have your reservation cancelled without warning and be left scrambling

We really enjoyed this sweet boutique hotel First, the staff was friendly and helpful Front desk was informative and efficient

Housekeeping was quick to respond and rooms were clean Don’t ever lose those great dreads:) and smile(you know who I mean) Second, the valet parking had good communication and service Shout out to Mica I’d trust him with my ride any day Lastly, location Close to exits and walking distance to all the cool things in downtown Pitt They were doing some remodeling but it wasn’t a hassle You are going to rock even more when it is finished! Keep up the good vibes I’ll definitely stay there again when visiting Rock On!!

Room was very small, bed was comfortable though Temperature was perfect, the lobby was beautiful very nice decor and wonderful staff There is a beautiful terrace on the 10th floor with an amazing view of the city

It was really in the perfect location, target and LA Fitness was 8 minutes away so it was very convenient The only big issue I had was there was NO parking, I had to leave my car on the street they only had three stops and one of them was for an electric car and handicap The lots are so expensive, 25$ every time to go in and out so parking at meters and leaving my car three blocks away was SUPER annoying and honestly a big deal breaker for meThere is no microwave in the room, but you can use the lobby I am a Graduate student so I had to go down to heat up my food every day which was also annoying My room also did not have a blow dryer, but the front desk would have gave me another one I just never called back The stay was very comfortable, and the hotel was very clean Amazing and friendly staff!!

cam ,

It’s easier to mention what’s bad since most is good First of all, I’ve never ever had a front desk attendant as rude & useless as the accented, bearded, tall black man who checked us in This is not rooted in racism, all the other black employees were incredible

The room was really tiny for a king suite $35 for valet and $25 for self park is absolutely unacceptable, should have a free option of some kind Restaurant/bar wasn’t openPretty clean, location is best in city, rooftop deck was nice Very, very comfy bed Shower was awesome Modern Security was great, felt quite safe Internet was pretty quick Very clean area
