The staff is super friendly here! The rooms are nice, and clean We went as a family of 4 and stayed in a standard room because we knew we would be at the parks all day It was very comfortable including the beds and I usually dread sleeping on hotel beds! The staff cleaned and changed the bedding everyday

I highly suggest the pier 8 market! It was so convenient for us to grab breakfast before hitting the park and then grab a late dinner once we returned The food was great and there is something for everyone The shuttles to and from the park were also so convenient and you never waited long to get on one to or from the park The pool is great as well as the bar! Our day at Volcano bay was cut short due to weather but we came back grabbed some dinner and the kids were so happy to play in the pool on our last night, and we really enjoyed having a few drinks and relaxing at the poolsideThe bar tender was also very nice and the drinks were delicious! I highly recommend this hotel for families who can’t swing staying at the more expensive locations or just want to be frugal as we did! You definitely get the bang for your buck here!

We stayed for my daughter’s cheer competition Rooms were average however the customer service was too notch!! The pool was extra nice and the had life guards on duty at all times Only thing I would do differently is stay in tower 1 the amenities were a little bit better on that side

The food was excellent and at an affordable price The price for the food was good and such a variety of choices They have a small game room in Tower 2 it was fun The shuttle runs every 10-15 to universal and the water park I will definitely stay again!

Cons: Bring your earplugs This has to be the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in While I appreciate the fact that their is no carpet in the hallways or rooms making it more sanitary, they obviously did not take into consideration the noise that accompanies a family hotel

In addition, the walls seem paper thin as you can clearly hear conversations of you neighbors When planning a full day at the theme parks, you definitely want to be well-rested, yet staying here you are constantly hearing your upstairs neighbors walking, moving chairs, dropping the toilet seat, etc we also had the pleasure of listening to someone coughing up a lunch at all hours of the nightPros: great location for Universal, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay Shuttle buses are clean and seem to be very running all the time A big plus considering the price of parking at the park Rooms are cute Kids enjoyed the decor Early park access While nice, we only were able to go on one ride as they have so few rides open and so many guests in the park Plus, when you didn’t sleep the night before due to the excessive noise, who wants to go that earlySummary: I wouldn’t stay here for again, even if they comped the room With so many options in Orlando, I’d rather pay a little extra to ensure we are all well rested to enjoy the parks

My husband and I stayed here for about a week on a business trip The stay was great Room was very clean & aroma was wonderful

The front desk people where friendlyI can say that breakfast was absolutely wonderful due to their server Debra! (Sorry if miss spelled)I’m not personally a morning person but she managed to make me smile every time I walked in the door Super sweet, hardworking, makes sure everyone that walks through her kitchen is satisfied & very well taken care of!

Kevin Thacker

One elevator not working, pool pump broke and unable to use pool which we were not informed of at booking or check-in Hallway smelled terrible like a skunk was living across the hallway Our card was charged twice for the stay amount and staff was NOT helpful about it at all

Only highlight and reason for one star instead of none (or negative) is the breakfast was good That’s only after one night🤦🏻‍♂️ DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!

Bear Osborn

As a family of 6 we really dislike having to stay in hotels so we usually VRBO or a resort, but the circumstances of our trip didn’t allow that so we stayed here After 3 days we couldn’t be happier! We have found this facility to be warm from staff to guests Not sure how they’ve created this environment, but we’ll seek this hotel for our next visit

Really impressed 👏

I am currently staying at the Crowne Plaza and it is amazing I give this hotel stay a 10+++ The staff Kim and Renee at the front desk are amazing women

They went above and beyond since I have been here The hotel is exactly how it is on there website no hidden agendas it’s just perfect I will definitely stay here again every trip I make to Orlando I am having a blast They make you feel like a kid in the candy store with so much to offer you to make sure your stay at their hotel is the best stay ever Again thank you Crowne Plaza for such awesome hospitality

Jillian Perez

Loved this place It was clean had perfect space and the bed was comfortable Had a great view of the Icon aka Orlando eye

The lobby was very welcoming and the check in process was very quick and easy The staff was great Close to a lot of shops Would definitely stay here again Oh and it’s great for a quick get away, vacation or family

Paris Burbidge

Front desk staff was great, so friendly! I read through the reviews prior to booking so I was aware of it being dated, etc but the big disappointment was that our room was dirty There was leftover candy from the previous guest on the floor and a huge pepperoni stuck in some cheese under the desk- we never had pizza during our stay The rooms were comfortable enough and simple

The restaurant in the hotel is worth skipping altogether Pricey for fine food The morning we left I ordered my kids breakfast at about 8AM I called 3 different times to check on it, finally they said they were on their way up At 10AM, we finally just checked out so we could go get something to eat Quite a disappointing note to end on

We had an overall great experience here Each staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpfulWe did receive a room upgrade because of status/points and had a fun view of Islands of Adventure from the 21st floor in room 2115

Our door lock gave us a little trouble at first, but staff wasted no time in sending an engineer to help The service here was sincerely wonderful Thank you all!I think my favorite part of the room was the comfy bed After returning from a very full day of walking 20,000 steps in the parks I woke up rested and refreshedMy only complaints are minor and didn’t affect our experience that much overall 1: the halls and rooms are a little dated and would benefit from a little sprucing up For instance our loose/broken door jam, uneven flooring under carpet, fresh paint, etc This is all minor to me, and I believe was reflected in the price 2: We weren’t told about the shuttle to the parks when we checked in, or that we needed to register ahead of time to ride it I happened to see the sign at the desk, noted the time and showed up in the morning Thankfully the kind woman running that station at the desk noticed me in the morning and helped us get on the shuttle quicklyWe’d stay again and recommend it to others for the value and location!

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a hotel This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few days you won’t be let downI stayed for 2 nights with my boyfriend and had an amazing time The room was comfy, clean, and spacious We had a minor inconvenience but it was fixed very fast by Dante He was extremely helpful, informative, and very kind We had a great stay and plan on coming back soon!

Jessica Brown

The location was fantastic Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us They were great

The rooms are what you would expect for the price point It was fine for the night My only complaint – The beds were very bouncy and not super supportive Some paint peeling in the bathroom But overall the room was clean and the place was quiet (we had a room on the 18th floor) so we did not hear a lot of noise

It’s definitely one of the best hotels we stayed in I thought the prices were very fair considering how clean, fancy, and spacious the rooms are The staff is very nice and friendly

My only complaints is the fact that there was no housekeeping during our three-night stay They only changed towels if you requested extra in the morning Also, I wish there were more breakfast options The elevator did stop working for a day, but luckily was fixed before check out since we were in the fifth floor Other than that, it was a great experience The kids loved the bunk beds!

Ashley Jax

Really lovely hotel! The staff was very kind and personable Only thing I didn’t necessarily like is the lighting I got up 3 times in the middle of the night to turn the lights off

They would come on every time I moved The bed was also fairly hard as well All in all it’s a really nice hotel and I love how close it is to the parks so I will be back for sure

Outdoors With Shawn

The only thing (and it’s trivial) is the room was a bit loud with no carpet in it But with that being said, the room was spotless and comfy Highly recommended

EDIT: After this stay, we stayed 3 nights at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios That room was nice, but for the money this hotel room was nicer The resort itself was stunning don’t get me wrong But for the price I paid there I was expecting moreThe staff here was very friendly and professional They treated me with respect, were very friendly and answered all my questions The bartender was nice as well The prices on the snacks and drinks in the lobby was reasonable and the free coffee wasn’t bad at all for “hotel coffee”

Our stay was pretty good We stayed for a 6 days and they came and cleaned half way through our stay which was perfect timing The rooms are good sized and the location is perfect

I only have a few complaints there isn’t any vending, the furniture is a little dirty and the restaurant isn’t open all the time and they don’t offer everything listed on the Starbucks menu There also should be more towels in the family 2 bedrooms Other then that our stay was good

ToxSic Dream (ToxSic)

Had an Amazing stay at the point over the July 8th Weekend I spent my Days at Universal and it was nice to come back to rest and relax at The Point Had a nice 9 story view from my balcony

Also Enjoyed the layout of my room, Small but quaint and all I needed to enjoy my stay I highly recommend staying here PS Bathrooms are spacious and Very Relaxing to unwind in after a Long day in the Florida heat

James Ryan

Disappointing best describes The Point Hotel We arrived after the check-in time, but our room still wasn’t ready We were told we would receive a text when the room was ready, but we never did

When we finally made it to the room hours after the check-in time, we were impressed with the size of the suite, but otherwise disappointed It had not been cleaned well There was soup scum in the shower and tub and dirty floors Our kids immediately noticed how dirty their feet got just from walking on the carpetThe appliances are dated, seemingly 20 years old, as were the TV’s The picture quality and channel selection was a throwback to the 90’s The refrigerator barely worked The furniture was worn The cook ware and dish ware was minimal, making it very difficult to prepare meals There was a pull out bed, but no sheets or blanket The bedding we did have was very low quality, reminiscent of a Motel 6The staff was not at all welcoming and uniformly seemed annoyed by their job Literally every staff member we interacted with seemed like they hated being there They weren’t necessarily rude, just dismissive and seemingly annoyedOverall, the stay was very disappointing and not at all what we expected based on the online photos and other reviews If you are looking for a place to stay in Orlando, our suggestion is to keep looking There are so many other options that will not disappoint

Updated from my last review

the place is even better now that it’s an apartment complex and not a hotel anymore It’s even cleaner and the staff is still great I only have 2 issues 1 is the light in the living room area is not bright enough to illuminate the whole room so I need to by a lamp for my bed area and 2 I can’t cook bacon or pretty much anything with out the fire detector going off because it’s too close to my kitchen and there isn’t any proper ventilation to let he smoke out and leaving windows open don’t help either and leaving my door open exposes my room and my belongings Other than that I’m good here

Fatima O’riana

I have been here a month so far and it has been wonderful I moved here from up North and checked in a day after check-in and there was no late check-in fee Raquel who works at the front desk has been amazing in helping us transition

The room looks exactly as advertised It is quiet and people generally mind their business around here It’s very family oriented and my kids love to go to the front desk for candy I really don’t have anything bad to say

kat k

They were very friendly worked with me especially when I had to work doubles clean safe environment my kids could actually go outside to play it was cool Staff is awesome I got sick out of town they were very nice to my daughters gave them space didn’t harass them i was in a coma so they were out of sorts

Just checked out: Overall not a bad experience but not the best The pool is small and very overcrowded Even though we were told it opens at 7, they were still cleaning it from 7-8 every morning

The activities were very mediocre and nothing my kids would be interested in I never saw housekeeping around NO FULL LENGTH MIRRORS The sheets feel scratchy and on one of the twin beds, it was made but the sheet was just flipped inside out There are no bathtubs There is no shuttle to the parks or anywhere We arrived on Saturday but the attraction desk was closed until Friday so we had to go to the lakes to buy our tickets where we didn’t really save much The restaurants food wasn’t great, the wings were burnt and the onion rings weren’t the crispy style but at least the worker was very nice It just wasn’t a high class experience esp since we are owners, I think we expected more, this is like a regular hotel so we’ll try to stay at a villa style next time But the security was very nice as well and it’s close to a lot of food

Kristen Yeager

They were super nice when we had to switch from a totally different place Super helpful when we had questions or concernsThe sheets were a little stained or something, but they came to change them shortly after I asked

The pool is small for the amount of guests, but it was never so crowded you couldn’t swim Rooms were small but worked for us

Jerrod Geretta

Amazing hotel! My family and i had a 6 night stay at the Westgate The rooms were clean, spacious and have everything you need to make short or long stays extremely comfortable The staff is super friendly and very accommodating

They have daily activities and movies for the days when you want to rest and just stay at the hotel (painting, bird house builds, bingo) Which was perfect for my antsy kids who refused to stay in the room all day The pool and pool area was clean and a good capacity for the hotel size with seating throught They even have a kiddie pool which was great for my youngest child The grills next to pool were clean and in working order The gazeebo off of their private pond with a fishing dock was something that was definitely new to me while at a hotel They even have fishing poles and tackle that you can checkout for use at the activity center What we liked most of all is the security presence around the hotel and in the parking lot We will definitely return to the Westgate Palace for our future Orlando stays

Just checked out after 18 nights This is an apartment rental with no room service so just know that before you stay We were fine with washing the sheets as the washing machine and dryer are in each apartment so room service was not a big deal

The rooms are still in good condition but could do with a little updating The beds are super comfy and the apartments are large with all the mod cons you would need to cook and prepare food The facilitys on site are brilliant and the gym although small is sufficient to do a workout Whoever does the landscaping does a brilliant job as the place looks really good Great warm pool and a lovely hot tub The bus stops right outside complex so everything is easily accessible I would definitely recommend and would come back

Greg Moots

The rooms are a bit dated but nice It’s nice having two bedrooms with full bathrooms and a full kitchen The sofa pulls out for a sleeper also, so you can sleep a full family in the units

The screened Balconies have tables, chairs and a ceiling fan The grounds are very well maintainedThe units themselves could use some preventative maintenance Our sliding bathroom door came off the track and couldn’t be fixed while we were there, faucet handles that are loose our neighbor’s dryer had to be replaced, and things like that The staff has been very helpful, especially SusanAccess to the trolley makes getting to many places, including the convention center, super convenient and cheap

Lyla R

My stay was pretty nice I appreciated most of the amenities offered there My biggest qualms would be how uncomfortable the blankets were and how dirty the dryer was

I didn’t even end up using the washer machine in fear of how unsanitary it might be The picture is of what I cleaned out of the dryer It looked like they hardly ever cleaned it The dryer also wouldn’t even close all the way because the rubber strip was broken Sadly that alone was enough for me to question how well they sanitize between customers and made my stay a little uncomfortable The jacuzzi also could afford to be hotter as it was almost the same temperature as the pool Outside of that everything else was pretty nice

I have a hard time believing any of the 4-5 star reviews are legit Either that or the reviewers have never stayed at a decent hotel before This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in

I was not expecting the Ritz, it is considered a 2 star hotel so my expectation was a clean, manageable room without the frills Instead of that basic expectation being met I experienced exactly the opposite The staff was rude from the get go I was checked in and headed to the room, the elevator luckily worked while wheeling in my cart of luggage but beyond that it was regularly broken As soon as we entered the room we noticed our shoes getting a sticky feeling while walking around We didn’t think much of it assuming it must have been recently cleaned and slightly still wet or something As we settled in the loud ac started up like a jet engine By the way the ac wall unit was positioned directly next to the bed Nothing pleasant about waking up every 20-30 minutes with a freezing fan blasting you in the face from a foot away It was either that or turn it off and sweat Going back to the sticky floor, it never subsided and after walking barefoot for a short time unpacking I happened to look at the bottom of my feet They were completely black as if I’d walked around in the dirt barefoot The kitchenette was equipped with nothing other than 2 cups, 2 plates, and a dish towel I went to the front to request pots to cook with, I was given old pots, and cooking utensils that had visible rust on them Luckily we only spent two nights there and when we reached out to the manager he simply offered us a future night free, as if I would ever stay there again I would rather sleep in a tent Avoid at all cost, seriously buy a tent instead if you must The hallways were just as filthy as the room

Our little party of 3, (which included 3-Generations) have been embarking on road trips this vacation season (especially since the latest Pandemic, along with my germaphobia, don’t allow for SAFE commercial flying) We had never booked an Extended Stay Hotel, so the concept was all very new to us However, because it was the last stop on our trip that would culminate in a surprise visit to one of our favorite theme parks for my granddaughter, I booked the closest hotel to Universal Studios

Full disclosure, the price of the booking had me worried You know what they say, “you get what you paid for” So, with fingers crossed we walked up to the reception desk First of all, it was a late check in that went as smooth, if not smoother than previous hotels we stayed at that week The courtesy and attention to our needs and shear pleasant attitude filled me with glee The hotel had NO offensive odors, no run-down look and everything was spotless!!! That pleasantry carried on through the route on to the elevator, the corridors and the wonderfully spacious room assigned to us Immediately from the door entry we could observe how spacious it was The suite had a full kitchen with a large refrigerator, stove, large microwave and even a dishwasher! This particular room offered 2 queen beds and a pullout sofa!!! The bathroom was immaculate! The laminated wood floors, the drapes, towels & bed linens were all crisp & clean I could not see a speck of dust or dirt anywhere In addition, the peaceful silence gave way to a marvelously uninterrupted night’s sleep While there was no continental breakfast, the hotel did not disappoint They offered wonderfully hot fresh brewed coffee & tea, with an array of various name brand creamers; along with individually wrapped muffins, instant oatmeal packages and granola bars The entire set up was extremely delightful And yes, everything was spotless!!! As an added BONUS, to our surprise, the hotel was literally just minutes away from Universal Studios Throughout our stay, all staff members we encountered were tremendously courteous What a delightful treat!I highly recommend Extended Stay America Suites Don’t Miss Out!!!

My family and I recently stayed for 4 nights and it was a great experience The hotel exceeded our expectations The restaurants are fantastic, including having a really amazing magician perform at our table during dinner one night

The arcade was nice too for an hour one morning when weather delayed our walk to Universal Studios We had 2 adjoining rooms and they were spacious and very nice Plenty of room for 6 people to stay and spread out our stuff as well as hang out in the morning while eating breakfast in our room The staff was courteous and helpful too I highly recommend the Hard Rock when visiting Universal Studios The location can’t be beat, as it was an easy walk to everything nearby and the water taxi is super easy to hop on too

A good experience My family enjoyed staying at this hotel We had a good time at the pool

They play music in the day and a movie at night at the pool It was funThe convenience store in the hotel had the things we needed and good food to go Our room was a good size and gave our family of four plenty of space We had the room with the pullout couch, and we had lots of space – even with the couch pulled out The pullout couch was surprisingly comfortable compared to other pulloutsThe hotel is so close to both theme parks – Universal and Islands of Adventure – that we think it was worth the money we paid It was an easy walk, with its own security entrance, so we were able to easily go back and forth between the parks and our roomHousekeeping was a bit strange One night they knocked on our door at 10:26 PM to offer turn down service They woke us up The turn down service was offered after 9:30 most nights – this is really late for most familiesTh bellmen, concierge, and valet were wonderful The man who checked us in did a great job, and was very welcomingThe hotel roof and exterior was under construction and the restaurant downstairs was also under construction and not open I wish they had told us this before our visit This is honestly the third vacation we have been on with active construction that we were not told about ahead of time It was a very upsetting surprise when we first arrived, because we thought it was going to be as bad as some of our recent experiences You could hear it during the day, but it wasn’t too bad on the sixth floor

We had lights out in the room ,I ran into the maintenance people by chance, we got back to room later and they were taken care of The Team at the front desk was great The Kitchen food was great, the greeting people remembered us, each time that was a nice touch

Having the room keys into guitar picks at checkout was so fun The hotel needs a bit of a refresh a bit tired Access to the parks is great The water taxi is efficientLots of security checks

Kadimaza Ledinosaur (kadimaza the dinosaur)

A bit dated, but a good hotel The rooms were clean, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was tasty When our toilet clogged, a staff member came up right away to fix it

Unlike many of the other hotels in the area, which have a minimum check-in age of 21, this one has a minimum age of 18 This, coupled with its proximity to universal and decent prices, makes it a good choice for any younger travellers looking to visit

If the hotel was a 2 stars hotel ( hotels categories) I would give them probably 5 or 4 starsBut, you pay a premium price for a cheap hotelIndeed, It has all things and many amenities required for a 3stars hotel class, however all in the lowest quality/quantity

A gym, but very old and with outdated equipments, half not working at all!Breakfast, yes, very simple and limitedThe worst among all is their rooms, especially restroom and showers A cracked sink with very slow drain , the tub was damaged, and toilet flush was horrible The tiles were dirty tooInside the room, Pillows were not good at all, and carpet was dirtyPositive points?A bus service to the resortThe room air conditioner was good

Faisal Ghadially

The Best Western lives up to its reputation for a low cost hotel We did not expect much However, the elevators were not working and you expect that to work at a minimum

We had to lug our bags down the stairs No assistance was offered

Wonderful experience there We were greeted by Oliver who was extremely helpful and accommodating He made an effort to improve the quality of our stay by changing us from a 2 beds-room to king bed-room and gave us floor options for the location of the room

The breakfast was also very well catered with coffee, juice, eggs, sausage, waffles, danishes etcI’ll definitely be going back next timeLocation wise, it’s super close to Universal studio (within 10 min) and decently close to Disney World The hotel also offers a shuttle to Universal and one for Magic Kingdom

Jennifer Mohr

running, called the front desk, and the handyman arrived within 10 minutes! (Turns out it is normal for the toilet to take a long time to refill the tank) The rooms aren’t fancy but bed was comfy for sleeping Happy to have scrambled eggs, sausage links, Mickey waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, yummy pastries, and toast for breakfast options Good location

Pool was never busy Daily room cleaning offered Only downfall was that I wish the shuttle service had more options for times/locations Luckily we had a rental car so we battled the traffic ourselves Overall, I would recommend and would stay here again

Kait Frantz

We were a little nervous about this location based on some other reviews I was staying here on a work trip and my husband and daughter played at the hotel during the day The staff was always pleasant and helpful

The breakfast area worked very well every morning and my daughter loved making frequent trips for more cantaloupe We had a room right next to the outdoor breakfast area and it worked perfectly every night for us to hang out while our daughter slept in the room It was very quiet and the housekeepers worked around my daughter’s nap schedule This place was great! It was also a great location near a Walgreens and liquor store (for when American Airlines lost our luggage) It was walking distance to multiple restaurants and Icon Park

We had a great experience as usual We stayed at a Universal – View room in a high floor and it’s a great view, specially at night You can even see the fireworks from your room! It’s so worth it to book a room like this

Their beds and pillow are super comfy The room was very clean, and the staff is super nice and attentive, they are on top of your needs and help you right away Housekeeping service is available but you have to reserve a day prior to get your room cleaned, so keep that in mind when you stay to plan accordinglyThe Lobby area is very nice and very convenient with all the stores they have where you can basically find anything you wantThe closeness to Universal is incredibly convenient and amazing! You should also be aware that parking for your car costs around 26$ per night and it’s a little more expensive if you use valet parkingI really really enjoyed my stay and I have nothing negative to say from my experience this opportunity I stayed there

I was impressed for it being only a 3 star, the service and my experience was definitely more than 3 stars The sunshine Cafe for breakfast has delicious food at the buffet No its not complimentary and that’s because the quality is much better and worth the cost, Vinh and Jim were very considerate and friendly waiters, they even let us take fruit and coffee to go

The check for the Cafe and American Grill & bar can be charged to your room which is super convenient The bar even let me take the wine glass upstairs to my room They have a shuttle to Universal parks, we also walked to the park too since it wasn’t too far (15min), walking avoided the large crowds with the round security section too The pool is open later than other hotels I’ve been too and really big along with their jacuzzi with a tiny water park for the kids We opted to have room service daily, it was nice to be given that option We also got a cookie from the front desk when checking in The food at the American Grill is great quality, I had the steak and veggies They have an ice cream shop inside as well Great experience, great service, I highly recommend and can’t wait til my next stay

Aqua Hold

Friendly staff Cool temp and clean room

Great amenities Beautiful, relaxing scenery and grounds For tasty dining I’d strongly suggest their on-site restaurant “American Grill”I did not partake in using the pool during the day Where as, from the view of the area from my roomthere was not much shaded area or umbrellas for my useHowever for the most part, my stay with Double Tree was very comfortable and pleasant

The appearance, and amenities make this place feel just barely above a motel The staff is friendly The pool and spa area is clean

The exterior felt dated but was still nice The beds themselves were comfortable I enjoyed the balcony Bonus points for it being screened in In Florida that means no bugs! The best touch about the place is they say welcome to your home away from home

Scouser1965

Needed two bedrooms for a couple of nights and this resort worked out perfectlyLarge and spacious with all the amenities that you would need while away from home Reception was friendly and room was available a couple of hours before scheduled check in

Everything was extremely clean and good sized televisions in the lounge and both bedrooms that included some movie channels Didn’t really use the pool or anything else during this particular visit but would definitely return Very convenient location also

Alicia Capozzi
