The STAFF goes above and BEYOND! While staying here my rental car battery died I had a doctor appointment we flew into town for in 20 minutes and I asked for help Toni the front receptionist was so kind, jumped into action, she got me a ride from Dan the main person (also very friendly) and my daughter and I got to our appointment! while we were there at our appointment (Spencer another staff member) jumped and moved my rental car to the back lot and recharged my battery! They also told us to call for a ride back to the hotel once the appointment was over and we did! Dan picked us up and gave us a ride back!! i can’t even believe the kindness of the staff at this location! Truly saved the day and what a blessing! My daughter and I loved the themed hotel, decor, pool and arcade area! We had a blast while staying here

The coffee was good, the breakfast was yummy and for the price it was worth every penny! The rooms were clean, cozy and comfortable We’ve stayed in many hotels but never had such a warm and welcoming experience 10/10!!!Thank you Toni, Dan and Spencer for being so kind and such blessings to us today!

Amazing hotel Staff was very welcoming and friendly Hot tub and pool where clean and they provided towels for us to use at the pool

Indoor outdoor connection pool was fun for the kids Breakfast was wonderful and they kept everything full Rooms are good sized and clean My family included a teen and a 3 year old and both had a fun time The hotel it self was clean and the decor was wonderful They have a rustic decor style I would most definitely stay there again

Kelsea Peterson

I really like this hotel I picked this hotel for a family reunion and the hotel staff were very accommodating There were 13 of us and we were able to hang out in the lobby seating that they have there

There were also other random seating around the hotel The pool was down, but they did let me know in advance and they had an alternative pool that we could use The rooms were very clean We didn’t have room service as it wasn’t neededMy only complaint would be that I didn’t love the layout of the rooms, but nothing can be done about that I just prefer the sink to be on the outside of the bathroom There was a fridge and a microwave in the room They also only put 2 towels in the 2 queen bed room and I thought that was odd, but all we had to do was ask the front desk for another one You will also hear people in the hallways So if you hate that then don’t stay here I couldn’t hear anything from the rooms next door, only noises coming from the hallway

Great location in downtown La Crosse Plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, etc within walking distance

Attached parking garage provides ample parking space It was clean and smelled good The employees were friendly and accommodating They don’t have breakfast, but that isn’t much of a problem given the restaurants in the area I wish the bar area next to the lobby had been open, mainly because the shiny lights on the slot machines tempted me every time I walked by

Rich Panowitz

Had a last minute change in plans and came to LA Crosse for one night I parked in the garage and walked in I asked the front desk if they had a room for one night

They said, Sorry they were booked I went back to my car in the garage and looked up available hotels in the area with my IGH app This location came up I booked the room and walked back in When I asked why they told me they were booked full not more than 10 minutes earlier, the guy blamed their system The lady that checked me in was polite and helpful Explained how to get free parking in the garage – Rooms were okay Seemed a little out of date Location was perfect and close to several places to eat – Bed was comfortable and room was neat Did have a bit of a musty order when I first got there Person coffee maker was broken in the room and didn’t see the general coffee usually found in the lobby area No breakfast

Raven Vaccaro

I called ahead to make sure amenities were open and was told they were Everything was

Except breakfast! The night manager, Tom, was amazing and issued a partial refund since I had been told there would be breakfastHowever the pool was awesome and clean, the hot tub was hot, bubbly and amazingly spacious The room was very clean, ( although there was no channel list or list of nearby restaurants and attractions)The mattresses were super thick and fluffyI get that during the pandemic breakfast was a hassle and probably wasted money but it’s time to bring it back, ownersThe manager was as I nice and so helpful it more than made up for the few shortcomingsFast wifi, lotsa cable channels Coffee hair dryer and iron in roomWe had a wonderful stay Thank you!!!!!

What a wonderful experience!Billy and Brandon keep a beautiful home; though large and eloquent, it’s also very warm and inviting We mostly holed up in our room or ventured downtown, but we did explore the first floor sitting rooms (and were lucky enough to get some time with one of the pups) and enjoyed some tea and a puzzle in the card room We also poked our noses into the other rooms (we were the only guests at the time) and all of them are lovely

Plush carpets, hardwood, fluffy beds, bathrobes, a real first-class experience! The breakfasts were also exceptional I’ve included a picture of the opening course of our first day’s meal; this was followed by an egg-scramble-filled acorn squash with a side salad, and an incredible cinnamon scone We don’t normally eat such a large breakfast, but it was too good to let a single bite go to wasteWe’re hoping to make this a traditional get-away spot for ourselves, as we had such a lovely time I would definitely recommend this spot to others

Stephanie Bailey

Absolutely the best place to stay in the area Everything was top-notch: the service, room and breakfast I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast before, but it was a really amazing experience

The host was very friendly and accommodating They offer a lot of special touches like leaving little treats in your room every day and daily cleaning in addition to optional extras like breakfast delivery to your room I’ve stayed in a lot of 5-star hotels and Castle La Crosse was way better than literally ANYWHERE I have ever stayed before If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back here It was an unforgettable and magical experience that is perfect for a romantic getaway for couples

Billy and Brandon’s beautiful castle in the heart of La Crosse is a gem They are both extremely amiable and accommodating Once you enter the castle, you enter into another world, in its ensemble it’s impossible to feel anywhere but at home

My girlfriend and I spent her birthday weekend here and there is no doubt that this is the place to bring your significant other if you want them to feel like a prince/princess As if the location and hosts aren’t enough to convince, Brandon cooks a delicious breakfast presentation, delicacy, savory and sweet, light but filling All the products are local and the result is other worldly Finally, ask about the wine of the house It’s perfect if you decide to spend the night inThank you for everything

This place was great! It’s very clean and modern The hot breakfast offered waffles, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy one day, then eggs, sausage, hash browns the next There was also cereal, breads, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice and soda

The staff was friendly and available With three boys the great food and the 24/7 complimentary beverages were a really nice treat!

Carla Kron

I had some appointments one morning We live fairly far away So we decided to stay here

I have mobility issues currently They have a shuttle that is underground, and it will take you to anywhere in the facility Just ask and you have it The rooms were clean, comfortable and laid out well I did not expect that we would have such a nice room for the price, and that was great! The breakfast tasted good, the area was kept clean, and every employee was really friendly We will be back!

Rena Diem

We haven’t made it there yet

but the customer service up front has been stellar! Bringing a group to town for an event soon Heather has been pleasant, helpful and accommodating the whole way Worked a little with Rachel also, who was also helpful and pleasant Looking forward to the event and have no worries about the accommodations planned! (Which is a blessing in itself!)

We rented out the Lumber Baron Inn for our wedding party! Most of our party was couples and each person got their own room It was amazing! They let everyone check in by noon and wrote our names in a post it note on the doors so we knew where they were They let us pay for it all in advance so we didn’t have to worry about it the morning after! They also left the door unlocked so we could get in after a late night

The stay itself was amazing and the beds were very comfortable We had a great time in the jacuzzi tub and the view was so beautiful The morning breakfast was worth the price of the room stay alone! It was so amazing and the couple were really sweet! Through the booking progress they asked all about the wedding and how it was all going as their granddaughter was also getting married soon too! Such an amazing place and we can’t wait to stay there again!

The building itself is very pretty Location is great, easy to find Employees were polite and helpful

The room phone didn’t workLooked like the sheets weren’t changed as they were all wrinkled like someone had already slept on themShower had a hair on the floor and didn’t look like the shower doors were cleaned very well

David Schaible

I’ll get to the main pointsWe got the wrong room at the start but what promptly fixed with a $20 for our troublesPool was very cold, despite the air in the pool area being very warm we couldn’t swim

Floor in our room could have used a light sweepingBreakfast was decent with everything you could expect, eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, bread, English muffins, yogurt, cereal, biscuits/gravy, pancakes, juice, milk, coffeeBed was a bit firm, but pillows were pretty decentSheets were cleanCoffee pots in room could use a rinse with vinegar to remove hardwater build upWalk in shower was nice, floors were a little slick when wetIf it wasn’t for the cold pool and room mix up, I would have gave 4 stars

First time staying at a Home2 Suites and must say, I was very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff (team) was One of the reasons I choose Hilton brands is because of the comfortable beds and this hotel was no exception Great night sleeps, great breakfast selection and friendly, professional staff members

Great job everyone

Pravin Lewis

Rooms are newer and up to date It seemed busy so it felt crammed in the common areas like the lobby It is great for long stays, not so appropriate for shorter business trips

I used the app so had no interaction with staff while checking Hence had no idea of the parking pass or other facilities until my last day The breakfast was not great

We had an excellent experience at Radisson We stayed overnight and the customer service is amazing We originally thought that we could have a roll in bed but the space was too limited so the service desk changed our room from a king size bed to two queen size beds at no extra charge

The breakfast is also delicious Definitely recommend! The location is also extremely nice and has a very special vibe

Katelyn Schramke

Friendly staff It is great that they allow dogs and seem to like dogs as well Comfortable, clean rooms

Nice location, easy access to the park along the river and walking distance to stores and restaurantsCould be improved: The in room fridge didn’t cool very well and the coffee station in the lobby could be improved (especially the hot water for tea, it wasn’t very hot)

Brook J

The beds were sooooo uncomfortable My back aches for days Hot tub was closed which was unfortunate since I needed a soak after a bad night’s rest

Fridge is for drinks only, and it says so right on it, which was so weird Nowhere to keep leftovers so we ended up wasting a lot of foodOtherwise great location close to everything downtown Walking trails and bike rentals right outside And a beach right across the river Wonderful river views if you choose the river view double rooms (No king beds overlooking the river You only get city views with a king bed or so I was told by staff) 🤷🏼‍♀️ Checkout is at noon which is nice if you need extra timeLa Crosse is a beautiful city with lots of good restaurants and shops in their downtown

Excellent shower and a bed I did not want to get out of Felt like home Amazing staff and awesome customer service Added bonus…a great little small town with something to do for everyone Highly recommend!!!

Barb Boyd

If you want a very clean and well appointed room, this is the place for you There are no cookie cutter rooms here like the major hotels have Rooms are newly remodeled with balconies facing the Mississippi River

We were fortunate to be there when the neighboring establishment was sponsoring a band Sitting on our balcony on a beautiful summer evening listening to music was delightful The owners are friendly and take pride in their Inn

Katarina Frank

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn on the River We stayed in room 23 The room was recently renovated with an Italian theme

The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was wonderful We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the boats and trains The inn is located within sight of Lock and Dam #6 Unfortunately, we did not get to see a boat use the Lock and Dam while we were there We noticed the owners were kind enough to put ear plugs in the nightstand in case you needed them for the trains, but we thought the air conditioner was loud enough to block out the train noise Although no breakfast is included with the stay, there is a great breakfast restaurant not too far away from the inn We wished we had booked more than one night and would love to come back to stay again

I can’t say enough good things about our stay here We had the family package (both rooms on the first floor), which was the perfect setup for us and our two kids The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas had absolutely everything we could need during our stay

The breakfast was delicious, and even our picky kids found plenty to eat We got to help with milking, feeding the baby goats, and collecting eggs – SO much fun! Donna and Cindy are wonderful hosts Our kids are already saying they want to go back!

Kim Larson

My husband and I had a GREAT time at Rainbow Ridge B&B! We wanted to get away and try something new We got to help with milking the goats- which was so much fun The baby goats are adorable and so hilarious- and we even got to bottle feed a few! It’s so peaceful and calming to be around all of the farm animals (who co-exist in the same pens with no issues! [goats, llama, donkey, chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats])

Our host, Donna, was very friendly and taught us so much We can’t wait to go back and bring our kids!

Cameron, the front desk gentleman was so helpful and friendly Iris, our server, was so sweet and the food was superb Finally, Ben worked with our son on anniversary gifts and surprises Truly an amazing staff We can’t wait to come back Thanks again!

Sarah Partridge

Outstanding stay here at The Charmant! Got to googling boutique hotels that are a reasonable weekend commute for my husband’s birthday and sure am happy to have come across this fantastic property The staff was extremely accommodating and kind, especially front desk manager I believe is her role – very kind on the phone and thorough explanation of parking options Place used to be a chocolate factory which is so very cool- the exterior of the building itself stands out, and when you step inside- WOW beautiful

Dog friendly, too! Our French bulldog has the time of his life on our private balcony that was with our Chateaux King room Views amazing, as a bath lover- claw floor tub… cmon, loved that Rooftop bar in majorly close proximity as well as restaurant, free coffee tokens for the Parlour, and just an overall highly recommendable experience Would stay again easily so Love this place!

Cairie Virrueta

I’d like to give 45 stars but couldn’t do 5 so 4 it is Very charming and loved our room

A mother/daughter trip and we brought her golden retriever The room had a nice dog bed, bowls and treats Across the street was a park, which was nice because there isn’t any grass by the hotel There isn’t parking- unless you pay extra for it The roof top lounge wasn’t open Monday-Wednesday, when we were there but we probably wouldn’t have gone anyway since dogs weren’t allowed We went to a local place that did allow dogs We had room service, food was fabulous, but no table to eat at If we stayed again, we wouldn’t bring dog Staff was nice, but aloof Still a nice place overall
