We stayed for two nights and the first night was perfect The Hotel is beautiful and the staff was very friendly Our room and beds were also top notch

We had checked out then decided later to stay another night and that’s when it went down hill One of the the bed frames in the new room was broken and made a horrible noise all night, the refrigerator also clagged loudly all night long The mattress was awful, the vent fan in the bathroom didn’t work, the mirror was broken on the closet and our key cards quit working We were exhausted from a very long day and let the staff know in the morning, but they didn’t seem very concerned We had also hoped to have a nice drink at the hotel bar that Friday night but was told they weren’t opening because they didn’t have enough help We will be in in the area twice a month We will be giving the Holiday Inn next door instead

I found this Hilton Garden Inn a disgrace, and nothing like the other Hilton properties I have stayed at In my opinion, Hilton Corporate should rescue this property ASAP from the disgraceful franchisee Upon checking in to the hotel, the front desk could not call up my husband’s Hilton honors number, even though we stayed here twice before

They set up a reservation without his honors number, even though I had no trouble setting one up with his number Staff was not friendly The hotel was not as nice as before, and no longer offers complimentary coffee, tea, or water in the lobby The desk clerk said he cancelled the duplicate reservation, and a hotel supervisor gave us extra points and free breakfast for the check-in troubles After we returned to Wisconsin, I discovered the hotel charged me for a late cancellation I tried contacting the hotel, but they don’t answer their phone I called Hilton Corporate to ask why I was charged a late cancellation on one of my credit cards, and for the same night I paid for it on another credit card Corporate discovered the hotel set up a new Hilton honors account under my husband’s name without informing us and without his consent The points and our charges were under this new honors account Corporate moved the points and charges to my husband’s honor account he has had for 15 years They are still working on trying to refund the duplicate charge I cannot trust doing business with this hotel I recommend you avoid this place like the plague

Klay Fennema

Staff was amazing, and extremely friendly and professional, however the rooms not so much I was there for work, not leisure and I am not looking for luxury by any means, but when there is food crumbs all over the carpets, leftover clothes behind the nightstand, dust, nasty mold in the A/C register and dried urine/hair on the toilet then that is completely inexcusable I understand and don’t mind an out-dated hotel, especially when it’s reasonably priced, but to have to feel absolutely disgusted to even shower, walk on the carpet bare footed, or sleep in the bed without wiping everything down with a Lysol wipe? Come on

I expected A LOT better from a Hilton

One of, if not THE best KOA experiences we have had My wife and I love the camping cabins and the deluxe cabins are the way to goThis campground boasts with activities and fun stuff to do

The fishing pond(s) are well stocked if you know how to catch em! (nightcrawlers =])Many sites, but all with comfortable space between them, they offer tenting sites with covered deck areas that offer a second story to sit onSwimming pond looked clean and the trampoline well keptVery quiet and respectful campers, albeit on a MondayWe are coming back here and will tell everyone how fantastic this park is

Dan Spencer

We really liked our week here The grounds were maintained nicely and the amenities were great We really enjoyed the dog wash station, floating slide/trampoline in the swim pond and the stocked fishing pond

My 6yo son landed a 8# catfish on his first cast! Natural casing hot dogs, like Smith’sworked best for bait What sucked was our site A-6,7 and 8 are extremely steep and that area was very tight to park lg campers

Heather Van Sise

This place is so awesome Family get away- Check! Couple get away-Check! For a group of friends-Check! The staff was so nice, and by the way when I go camping I like a nice clean bathroom The cleaning staff did an amazing job keeping the bathrooms clean! Shower and toilet in the bathrooms!!!!! Ive don’t commercial cleaning and these ladies knocked it out of the park! Plus there’s a sink on the side of the bathrooms so you can clean your dishes! There’s a gift store/ store near the front of the camp and two pools to swim in

A covered pavilion for parties There’s a lot of RV sites and a few tent sites We had a nice secluded tent site A definite must go!

When checking in the front desk man was very pleasant and welcoming Unfortunately, the waiting space looked very run down and unappealing Unfortunately I had already prepaid for the room

When my fiance and I got to the room it was dirty I had to go to the desk and ask for cleaning supplies to clean the jacuzzi myself The floor was not swept properly Dirt in corners from God knows how long The toilet was loose and moved ever time you sat on it There was a good layer of dust on the headboard The mirror in the room looked like someone had a good coke party the night before I will say it was a fairly decent remodel I shouldn’t have this many problems in a room when paying 150 bucks for one night I will not be back

Stephanie

If I could rate this zero stars I would… in total for 2 nights I paid $300 it was very dirty No matter how much you cleaned the jacuzzi it always ended up being dirty from the jets

The bathroom was extremely dirty especially the shower walls the towels/rags had stains on them and so did the bedding The little travel size shampoo and conditioner bottles were dirty and half way gone Outside the room was very noisy and you can hear EVERYTHING! ALSO! NO FOOD OR POOL!!

Zada Lilly

First room we arrived in was filthy, bath tub & jacuzzi tub had hairs and dirt Underneath the bed had old rose petals along with other dirt and trash The top blanket had a small stain and underneath the mattress covers were HUGE stains all over

LED lights didn’t work, (etc) Went to the front desk and just politely brought up the jacuzzi tub not turning on and they were extremely rude but eventually moved us to another room that was better but still very low quality and not clean

I stayed one night here on my way home from a trip to New England Everything was just fine Friendly and easy check-in

Clean and comfortable room Comfortable bed Convenient location for interstate and for dinner and gasIn the evening, I could hear other guests in the hall coming and going, but all was quiet in the sleeping hoursAs an older woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe in the hotel and walking to a nearby restaurant for dinnerI didn’t eat the hotel breakfast, but it looked like the typical offerings

James Wilson

From the time we walked into the door it was a great experience Young man working the front desk was friendly and pleasant Room was exceptionally clean and I slept like a baby!!! Morning staff was just as friendly, even showed the young lady working a the beautiful moon that was full and orange

Breakfast was hot and delicious Will be back again

Newer motel approximately 30-40 minutes from downtown Cleveland Excellent rooms as you would expect from a newer motel We stayed 3 nights and saved quite a bit when compared to similar motels in downtown Cleveland

Only glitch was no hot foods our first morning due to supply issues 2nd & 3rd days the breakfast was varied and tasted good

Terrible customer service The hotel stole my money, I confirmed on the phone that the hotel I reserved was for “tonight” and they clearly said yes for tonight, I got there and they said it was for tomorrow I wanted a refund and then they said they couldn’t do anything had to call about 4 different numbers as I kept getting transferred

We also confirmed the hot tub was working and we got there and the hot tub was not working The number you call is not the front desk it’s somewhere overseas (which we didn’t know at first) The only thing they were willing to do on phone was give us points when all we wanted was a refund This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever experienced If I was you I rather sleep in my car then to give them any service So I can promise I’ll never stay at a comfort in again, not like they care I’m only one person But I will tell all my family to do same I would rate 0 stars if that was possible

Jeremiah Eldridge

So this review is not about the hotel itself It’s a 2 1/2 star hotel, it is what it is The rooms [not sure if they all] are pet friendly so you can imagine the smell

This is about a particular staff member Brian is outstanding He is funny and engaging He exemplifies “service with a smile” , even with a guest, such as myself, with some semi odd request All of which he accommodated with exceptional customer service This man should be at the front desk of a 4 or 5 star hotel If any recruiters from one of these types of hotels, give this man a look

Kimberly Shaffer

Rooms are nice and good size Plenty of towels Everything looked fairly clean but housekeeping needs to be a little more thorough my dad found cobwebs and a straw along the side of the nightstand and there were several dirty spots on the bathroom wall

The included breakfast was ok, we mostly enjoyed it There were a few issues, the employee taking care of the breakfast said they were having some issues with the stove so she was having a hard time keeping up with the eggs The make your own waffles area was very good but when one person was making a waffle and another tried to use the microwave they tripped a breaker which was a little inconvenient Not quite sure what they are trying to pass off as sausage but it was not regular sausage and was not labeled, they were not good We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again but we do hope they are able to address some of their maintenance issues Good location at a good price point between Cleveland and the Geneva/Madison/Wineries area

Was a very nice place Staff was friendly Quick to check in and check out

Rooms were nice, albeit a bit dusty And i was unaware of the policy for them only cleaning the rooms on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays due to COVID-19 Would have been nice to have them point it out or have it a bit clearer at check in But otherwise nice experience overall The sheetz across the street is a godsend

I had a wedding at Mooreland Mansion Lakeland Community College This hotel isn’t extravagant but is convenient to the venue and to the expressway There is construction currently in front of the business

There is a couple restaurants and a gas station right there if you need something You do need to bring a cooler My room didn’t have a small refrigerator or microwave Of course, this was my room, other rooms could offer these two items

I was early for my check in, after being on the road all night, and morning I asked the clerk if I could check in earlyShe maneuvered things, and wa la, I got into my room

She certainly cared! She didn’t have to let me into my room so much earlier than expected Great staff serviceMy room is wonderful, and smells very pleasant inside the hotel, and my roomThank you so very much!

Quinton Thornton

Not a great stay, even for the price Bathroom door had been punched, and the dent was still there Various spots in the bathroom were moldy/mildew

AC smelled bad when run I was in a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke The hallways smelled like weed Just not an overall great experienceClerk who checked me in was friendly, and very efficient Hotel was close to food, and a family activity center next doorIf you smoke, and have pets, and need a cheap place, cool Anyone elseyou have other options

Jason H

I’ve stayed in hotels many years for work but the customer manager at this place is the worst Had no parking on site so I had to park my vehicle next door until a spot opened up The neighbors were pounding on the door and being loud at 1am in the hallway so I picked up the phone in my room which didn’t work so I had to call the front desk from my cell phone

When I asked to file a complaint the manager made it seem like I was at fault I drove 17 hours and just wanted a decent place to get some shut eye for a few hours I suggest spending a few extra bucks to stay somewhere else

Hands down, staying at the B&B was a highlight of a very special visit HOMEPS Please be sure to delight your palate with one of Dee’s AMAZING chef selections!

To start with the incredible hospitality, and down home country vibe that the owner Dee so well conveyed to all the guests How in the world did we miss this gorgeous place coming to Ohio so often?? absolutely beautiful historic Victorian on a quite unassuming street, directly off the main street of the adorable village of Willoughby Our room was very clean! Dee the owner was trained in culinary arts in Paris and you will indulge in the extravagance of her training, and a variety of cuisine each and every breakfast

I felt like a queen 👑 lying in an the bed made in EnglandWe will be back next year See you soon Dee!!!

Our check in was quick and easy by Mary at the front desk She was friendly and welcoming The rooms we reserved were nice and clean

Breakfast was delicious Comfortable beds Everything was great except when it was around 5am in the morning the electricity went out!! I woke up from my sleep feeling the room was warm because the AC was off, so I noticed that it was no electricity and I couldn’t get back to sleep again We used our phone flashlight when we wanted to go to the bathroom!! You would think that a big hotel like the Holiday inn would’ve a back up generator but NO, we didn’t have electricity until 8am!!Overall, except for the electricity issue, it’s great hotel to stay for the night

sharon baker

The hotel is very near the highway yet it wasn’t noisy Fortunately I had looked on Google Maps or we would have missed the left turn road to go back to the Hotel Hopefully they will put out a sign soon

That was really the only negative Otherwise it was a very good experience The room was nice, the bed comfortable the air conditioning satisfactory with a fan that had the option of staying on which is my preference And the air conditioning kicking in did not make very much noise as they do in some units The bathroom had towel racks conveniently placed and the breakfast went until 10 on weekdays which we appreciate since we usually arrive late when we’re traveling and then don’t want to get up early to eat There was a good variety on the breakfast including a pancake maker which I thought was interesting and also Craisins raisins and nuts to put in the oatmeal All the employees that we interacted with were extremely Pleasant and helpful

Enrique Garcia

The Holiday Inn and the Hampton Inn here are essentially wedding hotels, which is why they seem to be more pricy than the rest of the area The Holiday Inn has better breakfast hours in the weekend (7-11!!) It’s not advertised, but there is a Tesla charge port in the parking lot(simply ask the front desk to power it on)

Rooms were very clean and they had extra essential items at the front desk in case you forgot them(razors, toothbrushes, etc) Beds were very comfortable and rooms were super clean as well I would totally stay here if you had a wedding to go in the area!

We stayed 3 nights this week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit Laura and Norm are gracious, attentive hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them The house is a well kept, historical treasure

Laura and Norm helped us plan a few days with their extensive knowledge of the area and we also booked them as to act as travel guides one day, which was a lot of fun The breakfasts were delicious and of course the bacon was the star of the show We are already looking forward to our next visit Thank you Laura and Norm!

The His Majesty B&B was perfect for our anniversary getaway The home is beautiful and our room was very comfortable This is a great location for the area attractions

Laura and Norm were very friendly and helpful They gave great insights to the options of wineries in the area We did not know there were so many and they provided the needed guidance for us to enjoy our outings The breakfast was awesome too Very elegant and tasty Thank you for the time we had and we intend to return sometime in the futureJerry and Ann

Laura and Norm made my mom’s birthday memorable! Upon our arrival this past Friday, we were greeted by our fabulous hosts Laura and Norm We had booked a wine tour for our first day and Laura asked if we wanted out then We said sure and she showed us our room

We were told to come down when ready and we’d head out To our surprise, both Normand Laura joined us It was the most relaxing afternoon we’ve had in awhile They talked about the area and the different wineries we were going to They joined us at each winery and we had so much fun just talking and laughing It was like we had all known each other for years Norm told us what he did for living besides the BnB and I was able to pick his brain on cars…I was in the market for a new carSince this was our first time staying at a BnB, we didn’t know what to expect for breakfast We were told breakfast was at 9am We came downstairs and was asked if we wanted tea or coffee I said yea and had my choice of about 36 different teas We then sat down and Norm brought me a teapot with my choice of tea…which was delicious! Each morning, we were served a cup of fresh fruit…not the cut up fruit you get in the store One morning was Belgian waffles with a delicious vanilla sauce and the next morning was baked eggs with fresh tomatoes from Laura’s garden Both mornings, Laura served us local maple syrup glazed bacon with chopped pecans My mouth is watering just thinking about that bacon 🤤 We enjoyed chatting with the 3 other guests and our wonderful hosts during breakfastWe enjoyed our very first BnB stay so much, we’ve booked for next July and my mom booked for November It was a wonderful weekend getaway made even better by Norm and Laura It was comfortable and they made you feel like family I’m definitely looking forward to my stay next July!

We had our wedding here and it was truly amazingly beautiful! Everything was perfect! This place truly is a hidden gem The entire place is a time capsule in the Victorian era Wonderful staff and food! Couldn’t have picked a better place to have our intimate wedding at

We will be back every year for our anniversary and are looking forward to our next stay Thank you again for everything you guys did!

If you are remotely thinking of booking at the Steele Mansiondo it! It will not disappoint

The bed was so incredibly comfortable w/ 9 pillows The towels were super super soft and everything smelled so fresh Antiques and great attention to detail at every turn This property is seriously the cleanest place I have ever styed All these antiques and not a speck of dust anywhere I still need to find out what they use to clean those huge mirrors with You will love your stay!!

Kylie Kuhlman

I cannot recommend staying here enough — if you’re considering it, come here! We stayed two nights in the George Steele suit; it was spotlessly clean, the bed was more comfortable than the one we have at home, and the attention to detail in the decor was fantasticMary made us feel right at home — she made us cocktails as we came in, she gave us a list of local restaurants for dinner, and she was incredibly easy to talk to and clearly loves her jobThe family that purchased the mansion did so after it lay open to the elements for 10 years – it is so clear that restoring the mansion was about their love for community and history rather than profit

The mansion itself is fantastic, and they leave the rooms that nobody is staying in open to the other guests, so you can peek into other suits, which I really appreciated It was incredibly clean and since it didn’t smell at all like dust it felt more like you were living in Little Women than you were visiting a historic house that you couldn’t touch anything It was a great place to stay and we hope to visit again another time

This place is very good for a business traveler The staff have been great to me since I started my interim assignment at the end of March Even when I was sick and not feeling well they offered to bring down bottled water and snacks to me

Hot breakfast is very good as well They also offer grab and go sacks which I have taken advantage of for a quick bite to eat during my day at work Kudos to Jessica and her team for greeting people with a smile!!!

Jack Harris

Love this place Always a cordial greeting The rooms are clean and smell good

Lots of parking and especially nice landscaping Breakfasts are pretty standard Hampton Inn with 2 differences – some nice high-quality extras, and the owners are, most mornings, there to greet the guests and assure that everything was good Recommend enthusiastically

Todd Dickens

Nice clean rooms and night staff was polite The day staff left room to be desired, unfortunately both the pool and spa area were too cold to enjoy Breakfast was minimal and staff gave us weird looks when we took our food back to the room

Finally the shower head wasn’t functional due to calcification, which detracted from my wife’s and I’s enjoyment of the in room hot tub

No intentions of going back any time soon Food just wasn’t very good French onion soup was just warm, the cheese wasn’t even melted on the top

It’s like they laid a piece of cheese across the top and served it The rolls and butter were good and the French fries were nice and crispy and hot, they almost seemed liked they had been dipped in something before frying but they were really good There was no kids menu or at least we weren’t offered one so my 7 year old had a $15 burger which he wouldn’t eat, and I wouldn’t have either because it had that fake liquid smoke smell, like a burger king burger I tried taking the charred sides off but it didn’t help, which was a shame because it was a nice piece of meat cooked right on the inside My husband didn’t like his burger either but at least ate it My older son and I had prime rib dinners The green beans were pretty raw, but would have been excellent if cooked a little as they had a really nice garlic flavor We love prime rib but this is the first one I can say that I haven’t liked because of the spices, usually when I don’t like it, it is because it’s over cooked This was served medium and was ordered medium rare, but that was tolerable, what wasn’t was the extremely heavy spices Some people might like it, we didn’t I think it may have been Rosemary Mashed potatoes I can’t say as they were cold by the time I cut all the black off my son’s burger, but they weren’t served with gravy, there may have been butter on the side, not really sure since I wouldn’t have added butter to cold potatoes so I didn’t look for it Service was fast, not particularly friendly but fast Although the lady that brought us our soup and salad was very nice The waitress saw I was cutting off the burnt part of the burger and asked what was wrong When I said he doesn’t like the burnt stuff she said with a bit of an attitude it was charbroiled That lost her 5 bucks at the end, but she still got a $25 tip for a $120 bill We should have gone to our favorite place but we were hoping to find another favorite This wasn’t it Although I’m certain the dog was happy

We love the Lodge at Bass Lake It’s an annual go-to for my wife and me The restaurant/bar/patio make the whole stay worthwhile

The rooms are older and feel dated, even the ones “updated” by the new management this year, but they’re spacious and have nice balconies for enjoying the morning Breakfast is lacking; sometimes they leave decent prepackaged options in the rooms, and sometimes they don’t Some of the items in our snack basket were expired during our last stay (July 2022)Headwaters Park is worth a visit while you’re in the area, as is the antique mall on the square

Went for Mother Day’s brunch buffet It was disappointing and overpriced The host staff didn’t know how to use the system to check if our party was there

They just looked at us bewildered when we gave the last names We had to search the restaurant for them ourselves Server never came to our table to bring drinks, then admitted she had no idea she was even sat in the corner but that they knew we were there I worked at a restaurant, if you see a table sitting with no drinks or any plates you should approach a table regardless The buffet didn’t have plates restocked We had to ask for plates and they were annoyed with that It was just a bunch of high school kids, no adults present Really poor and for the prices, I’d expect at least decent service They also didn’t charge us properly Three times If someone orders a bottle of wine for the table, then why would you charge each person for an individual glass of wine, plus charge someone for the full bottle of wine? Employees really seemed to have zero interest in being thereWhen I’m paying over $100 for a buffet, I expect better and a little more

Best Hotel In Mentor Ohio areaAll the amenities of a large hotel and the comfy-feel of a bed and breakfast However this is not a large hotel (that’s a plus+), nor does it lack the privacy that we sometimes endure at a B&B

Amenities include a restaurant and separate/bar lounge The lounge serves the complete restaurant menu, and a very nice menu that is! It appears that it is a go-to place for the locals–a real compliment for a hotel-restaurantOther amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, and a friendly and helpful staffThe staff–from the GM, to the front desk, to the room attendants, and breakfast staff, all seem to love their jobs

The Bistro is delicious, the rooms were clean and in decent repair The only detractors were the breakfast was so/so (which surprised me due to how nice everything else was) and that the pool is outdoors right by the outdoor seating for the Bistro so it didn’t feel very family friendly Overall loved the venue and the staff there were very friendly!
