I travel about 300 nights a year for work all across the United States, and this place is my favorite and most enjoyable to stay in It’s a relief to walk in the door knowing you are going to be so welcomed, with the sweetest people ever!Rooms = always super cleanBeds = super comfyBathroom = always super cleanGreat water pressureGreat pricesThey welcome my dog too!Every stay here is exceptional! They’re the best 🙂

Lighting was very low Light bulbs were low watt warm, which is hard to see with Though clean, it is time to replace the towels, they are so dingy they look beige

More attention to detail with cleaning would help Dust on the lamp, not a good look Overall, service was good and for the price is a good value AC in my room worked only sporadically

Every time we visit, Tim and Emily go above and beyond to make our stay so wonderful We stayed last night for a concert and the hotel was sold out for a wedding

and even though it was busy, every worker had a smile on their face and a pleasant “hello may I help you ” My bartender was very nice as well Thank you guys for making our weekend so special We will forever book here with you guys

Scott

We stayed on July 2nd and there just happened to be fireworks up the road so that was nice We could see them from our room window The pool was full so we didn’t go but there is a cracker barrel next door so we walked over

Had the suite with a pull out couch and TV was visible from all locations in the room This is a standard HIE but it has been remodeled since we were here last and it is very nice!! Clean bathroom and room was waiting for us

Maria Therese

This was a lovely place to stay! The staff was super sweet and helpful, and the hotel rooms were clean and quiet Breakfast (which was free) had a lot of options, even dairy-free and gluten-free! I’m so happy I stayed here The only complaint I might have is that the free wifi was pretty spotty on the 2nd floor

But other than that, a perfect stay

Would’ve given 0 stars of that was an option But gave 2 stars because the Pool was the only best part of the hotel It was clean and my children had fun

Other than that Breakfast was terribly cold Not many selections Many empty trays Our room had food on the floor The sofa was dirty My son had some fake eyelashes stuck to the bottom of his foot Way too much money for this place Not worth the stay Only the pool was worth it Never again we will stay here Yuck Please look into a new staff or housekeeping or whatever

Well far starters my company paid for my room or at least that’s what was suppose to happen I had to add a card for incidentals and got charged full amount Breakfast wasn’t free got charged and it closed an hour earlier then expected

What a spectacular place! I wish we could give 100 stars! We stayed in the suite with 2 queen beds, a fantastic bathroom, large full kitchen, a bar and table for 8, with a living room and that had two pull out beds, but the cherry was the picture perfect view of downtown When we walked in our youngest child said, “wow it’s beautiful!” Our oldest said, “This looks like a Hallmark movie!” This place is specialThe beds were the best we have ever had! I would recommend a sleep mask if staying in the suite

The beautiful skylight is stunning but also lets in the morning light If you need to sleep in darkness, I would suggest bringing your mask The service was spectacular and so very accommodating We will be back!

Tom Brokaw

Very friendly staff, answered all of our questions prior to booking Room was nice and big and very clean Very comfortable and quiet

Nice location and they provide a nice little continental breakfast and bottled water They have a restaurant downstairs, but it was closed when we were there, so we were unable to give it a try We were there for softball and baseball games and the location of the Inn was less than a mile to both of the fields we were playing at The next time we are in the area, we will certainly be staying here! We don’t have a single complaint about our stay

I will first off by saying the staff was super nice and helpful Everyone always spoke and said hello and asked if we needed anything The staff alone deserves 5 stars!! The rooms are a tad small but clean and nice

The hotel in general was clean and the breakfast was good The pool on the other hand was freezing cold Like really cold The employee tried to help by turning the heat up to help so my children weren’t so cold But the warmth didn’t stay long There is no way that pool was 80 degrees

Mary Fox

Room sizes MUCH smaller than shown in the pictures Beds were very uncomfortable A/C barely cooled the room

When checking in on Saturday, we were told breakfast was served until 10 am Had breakfast Sunday morning, you can make your own waffle However they had no syrup Not a very big breakfast selection Went for breakfast at 9:10 on Monday and it was closed already They said they close at 9 on weekdays, but that was not what we were told upon check in The room could have definitely been cleaner, not enough towels either The pool was also disgusting For the price and it being a Marriott (which we stay at often), we were VERY disappointed Will never stay here again

Lindsay Scheafer

We stayed here a few times before We absolutely love the staff as they are super friendly, kind, and helpful when we need them The free breakfast and the pool are great also

Unfortunately we had to cut our night short on the last trip and change hotels because the beds were SO worn down that me and the husband were basically laying on the box spring we woke up with horrible backaches Between that and their sheets not fitting right on the bed (we constantly were getting up in the middle of the night to cover the bed back up with the sheet because we didn’t want to have our face in a old dirty matress that others have slept on) even our 8 year old son was also having problems with the sheets and he doesn’t roll around much either Please get some new mattresses and we will be back!!

The Robinson Family

The hotel was average and the staff that check us in was great The evening desk clerk was bad Had a meltdown with kids and parents

The reason for the stay was all of our city’s soccer kids had a tournament All ages Lots of rooms booked Kids were not doing anything but hanging out with each other like us parents We were yelled at by that desk clerk who later called the Police (the officer said there was no problem other than this hotel guy being highstrung) He yelled at us because he had let us stay in a group for four hours already and we needed to disperse This was all before quiet hours and yes a lot of parents sitting outside and in the lobby and kids in the pool or just in rooms or walking to or from parents I travel all the time for work so I stay in many places The yelling by the hotel clerk was excessive and the only disruptive thing to happen When hotels push to book large groups, those groups will congregate and socialize My family reunions at hotels have been much rowdier Much, much rowdier but it is a very large family This was tame in comparison so the yelling and calling Police to break up our group was what gives this place a low star rating

Mark Holler

Firstly, I wanted to say that if I could give the hotel a 6 star for the service last night, I would The 2 staff members on duty did an excellent job preparing a clean room for us, after there was a mistake in the system regarding our reservation and availability of rooms It was a case of going beyond the call of duty

Other than that, the breakfast was good, staff is friendly, and the place is very clean

Loved my room! So cozy and i was right around the corner from the fitness center, worked out while watching TV, then went for a swim n relaxed in hot tub it was just what i needed! Breakfast in the morning was amazing so many choices! Eggs, B&G, waffles, cereal, muffins yogurt n more! This is an awesome place stay to get some needed R&R and the price is ridiculously affordable for everything you get! And everyone who works there was just wonderful! 😻 Can’t go wrong here!

Tucked away from the highway, but great facility with a nice pool, lobby, atrium and clean rooms Nothing fancy or over the top, but just exactly what I expect: stocked with the correct amenities, coffee, condiments and clean room with all items in working order The breakfast was one of the best I’ve encountered at a hotel in the last 3 or 4 years

Beth Hayter

Stayed a week Everything was great ! Edith at front desk was so nice and helpful Keisha in housekeeping was a hard worker and a great personality

A 3rd shift front desk worker brought me my food delivery to my room Didn’t catch her name but it was Feb 28th at 11:30pm Also Andrew was very helpful and definitely a great manager Room was clean Clean towels everyday Very quiet The pool and hot tub were wonderful I definitely recommend this hotel Thanks for everything to the staff

RACIST LOCATION!!! DON’T BOOK HERE!!Read the reviews others have experienced racial profiling Linda lies that there are no rooms available Called reservation line plenty rooms open

Confronted Linda, she changes her lie that now they have rooms Asked her why she lied, no comment Called Josh the manager the next day to share my experience and mentioned the reviews online, he starts yelling and tells me this is not the hotel for me that he’s cancelling my reservation Of course he’s going to cancel it, according to the online reviews blacks are not welcome I tell him I’m going to report him to corporate he proudly yells this is his hotel and he has none over him for me to report him too Josh is the leader of this racist pack of employees Linda is definitely his follower If you don’t share the same race as them, you better keep it moving to another hotel Try the Holiday Inn Express it’s comfortable, clean, great price, delicious breakfast and staff is very friendly and welcoming You’ll save your self from a bad experience

Lorin Darst

Room was clean and comfortable Plenty of parking for my Uhaul with trailer All staff were friendly

But the reason I’m writing the review: Lana at the front desk could not have been more helpful or welcoming She was incredibly helpful when I called while on the road in a vehicle that made it hard to hear And when I arrived, Lana made sure I had everything I needed, including treats for my dog Her customer service was the best I received during my move/road trip from Oregon to Ohio She deserves a bonus and a raise even if she’s the highest paid staff member there

Was able to stay here for a few days and was impressed with how unique it is compared to other hotels This hotel definitely has its own personality Rooms were clean and comfortable

The property was well maintained and it looked like a section of rooms was also being renovated to keep it looking nice The pool area is large and the pool itself also has an outdoor section I had to use the laundry facilities during my stay and was pleased to see the washer and dryer were clean and working properly

Kimberly Boggess

Overall very nice stay The pool area was surprisingly large, and while busy, wasn’t too busy to swim The free breakfast was pretty good

The hotel itself is very large with lots of little places to relax Some of the decor and lighting make it feel a little dark and dated However, overall it was nice

Linda Oelberg Schulthes

I attended a wedding reception at Stony Creek in May of 2022 I was very much impressed with this facility for many reasons The staff is accommodating

I am older and use a walker I did not request a room that would accommodate my needs but was provided with a handicap accessible room very close to the main desk as well as the room being used for the reception They even gathered my bag from my car and carried it to my room The food for the reception was delicious and staff scurried to provide services I was also impressed with the sleeping quarters The room is spacious and it was so quiet that I felt as if I was the only guest I would definitely recommend this inn

Me

The staff was excellent in receiving guests Very inviting Loved the ‘happy’ hour, I was given 2 complimentary alcoholic drinks and kids had the options of soda or lemonade

We didn’t take advantage of the made to order breakfast, as we slept in on the very comfortable King bed!! Room was comfortable and spacious, hotel decor needs a little TLC but it’s beautiful nonetheless Unfortunately, the Cafe was closed, as well as the pool area, the hot tub appeared to be drained and sectioned offCheck out was excellent, they were in training and did great! Perfect stay for the GVF concert!!

Patrick Hobin

I booked for the wrong dates on a 3rd party site, and Jordan was awesome in helping me change things a get a room The room was great the service was awesome (especially Jordan and the front desk staff), the cleaning staff was patient and accommodating Property was clean and the breakfast was very good

I would recommend this property when visiting the Peoria area

Josh Zeigler

Staff was very friendly and helpful The location itself is very dated, wore out and well past a remodel It is on the river but across from downtown area

Has a river front area thats in need of repairs Hot tub was down in pool area, revolving door was down as well Neither on site cafes was open They also charge $10 for parking which i was shocked to pay Seeing as this is not downtown and they have more than enough parking If given the correct remodel and attention, this would be an incredible location for conferences

Time Is Short

My husbands and I have stayed many places and you can tell when staff really cares about the people they have staying here The rooms are clean The staff really take the time to put everything into place for the guests and it really shows

Breakfast is good and they always have hot coffee or tea with cookies all the times The staff seems to be more like a family They do need a little updating but like I said the rooms are clean and bug free if other wise we would not be here for 5 months Guests and there children need to think of others as they run and scream in the hallways God Bless and Thank you

No surprise here it’s the people that make this place five stars the room was okay with a fridge and a microwave But the people are fantastic any questions we had were answered easily we were able to take a shuttle provided by the hotel to the Civic Center to see a concert there was a total of 8 to 10 of us at no charge They also picked us up at the end of the show with little to no waiting time provided a wonderful breakfast for two days the place was exceptionally clean and well taken care of thank you Country Inns and Suites for such a wonderful trip
