The best Marriott property I’ve stayed at in a long while Awesome staff across the board Best breakfast (close to like home cooked meal)

Great variety and ambiance to top it all off Love the M lounge Across the street from the convention center, River Walk trails and University district but still a peaceful setting Historical district is evident throughout and the hotel incorporates that history very naturally while keeping a very modern feel I already stated it but it’s worth repeating The staff across the board felt like family (the good kind) and were professional, caring, and accommodating Stayed an extra night because we appreciated the staff

Beautiful building, wonderful suites, comfortable beds, although a little too soft for me, and accommodating staff Easy check-in Great breakfast!I did have a couple issues like no hot water but that was handled within 24 hrs

Also all my lights went out as I was getting ready for a banquet That was handled right away

This hotel staff have made my home away from home in Columbus I travel often for work and have ample experience with different hotels and the staff here have always been the best From Sebastian, Fiona, Shay, to the lounge staff Ms Joyce and Ms Kia, they have always gone above and beyond

They are very understanding and will always make your stay pleasant and comfortable The restaurant on site is actually a good restaurant and worth the breakfast and dinner Although the hotel is near the train tracks the staff is well aware and provide earplugs for those who are sensitive to the noise The noise never bothered me, so you may not even notice the train passing through I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Columbus, it is in a perfect location in downtown and across the street from the river 10/10 I tried to leave this review on the Marriott website but they would not send me the link

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights, during my stay my room was NEVER cleaned Trash never changed and I had to walk to get extra towels This is unacceptable

Upon arrival I was NOT treated like a valued “Diamond” member The check in staff was rude! I will never stay at this location ever again My room had ants and the toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned When I complained they told me they were sold out The bar never had a variety of chasers or liquors and the kitchen waitress was rude Horrible establishment The fact that my room was NEVER cleaned but their room prices NEVER went down for my nights stay is unreal I would recommend the Marriott up the street They have daily cleaning and a better variety of food and drinks in their bar The staff has been trained on customer service Just an overall better experience I will be filing a formal complaint with this establishments corporate office and management team

Crista Clear

Overall it was a nice hotel Couple things though… there should be more than one set of towels in the room and the lamps should have bulbs- one of mine didn’t I also felt the lighting in the bathroom was rather dull

I couldn’t put makeup on in there It just wasn’t bright enough for that The shower water pressure was awesome The view was beautiful from my window which I enjoyed and the bedding was comfortable I slept well The staff were very polite and kind The decor was very pretty also I could stay there again if I needed to

Loved the experience here Beautiful patio with a view of a large lake, trees, and adorable ducks just swimming along The bartender is the sweetest person I’ve ever met

The grits at breakfast oh my goodness 🔥I’d come back in a heartbeat just to eat those grits again Flexibility on early check in Nice print shop on-site On-site restaurant, bar and breakfast and great location and service Can’t really beat that If you are in the Columbus area, stay here It’s worth the extra drive to your destination And if you are entertaining, restaurants are five minutes away

Stayed here overnight on our way back home Making the reservation through the app was easy The room was nice, clean, and spacious

The reason why I deducted a star is because the check-in procedure took longer than it should have The employee was in the back office area and I waited approximately 15 minutes until she came out and checked us in Check-out was fast and simple

Gillis Hamilton

Nice large rooms, friendly staff They have a small breakfast at 7am Very limited selection of breakfast food

I wish coffee was available earlier, The coffee pot in the room was very dirty is why I gave it 4 starsThe hotel is very close to a variety of chain restaurant’s I recommend staying here When I return to the area I will come back

Sarah York

Room was clean but let’s be real the main thing is the bed comfort!Ik this is one of the 1st things I look for in the reviews I felt like I was sleeping on the FLOOR! The bed was so hard it felt like a box springThe room is a good size and the ac worked good

Breakfast was goodWe like staying at Springhill most of the time I like that they have full size Soaps on the shower wall Others we have stayed at had glass doors to the shows and I like that since u don’t have to worry about the curtain But at least this one had a clear liner and a shower curtain in the shower I hate when u go to a hotel and all it has is the 1 cloth curtain and the water just goes through on to the floor

Remodeling, but so nice

I was surprised to see our room and I wasn’t disappointed! It was clean, the hotel lady who checked us in was kind and polite and explained everything I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place to sleep shower was super clean, 8 changing sprays on the shower head gentle spray to hard water spray perfect place! I was very relieved to see the room in great condition! We stayed on the 3rd floor I wore white sock on the carpet and didn’t have nasty looking socks when i took them off I’m Very impressed!

I requested a 4 to 5 star hotel and ended up I n this one Asked for a suite and paid $17500 a night for 11/22-11/27

It was very disappointing First of all it is under renovation and EVERY day we were there the construction crew was outside our door rm 300 scraping paint and making much noise I requested a room on the first floor and ended up on three No apology for the noise and definitely not a 4 star hotel Will never patronize them again! Very disappointed Don’t mind paying for a decent place to stay, but give me what I request and give your clients a heads up on the repairs and let them choose if they care to stay or not Never ever again!!!

The Staff makes this location an enjoyable place to stay You are greeted with good morning, good afternoon or good evening every time you enter the doors The staff is friendly and make you feel like a valued guest

The location is clean and quiet and we arrived on a night when the hotel was completely booked The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable You will receive a hot breakfast and we got down to breakfast at 9:40 and there was plenty of options to choose from The only issue we had was with parking but again the hotel was completely booked while we were there and the sweet lady at the front desk help us with that This hotel is close to shopping centers and several restaurants We will stay again the next time we are in the area

My family was traveling from West coast to East coast and this hotel was available to accommodate my family and my dog at 2:00AM Great rate for pets, the lady at the clerk was very friendly and helpful Security is awesome, always roaming around night ensuring safety for the guests

It’s cool to see my name on their dry – erase board up front by the front desk along with other new guests

Grace Edge

We got in pretty late, and check in was super quick and the employee at the front desk was friendlyWe had to get a pet-friendly room because of our dog, so I don’t know if that’s why the room was in the condition it’s inThe carpet was dirty, with our feet getting dirty by walking in the room

Drawers are dilapidated, trash was left in the trash can from the previous stay, trash was found under both beds, a chunky moldy thing coming out of the bathroom sink, really dirty walls (black streaks) in bathroomWe checked out 5 days early because we didn’t feel comfortable staying in such a dirty roomIt was also really loud our final night (a Sunday), with bangs and thuds from upstairs and the hallway almost all nightIt was really nice being able to do our laundry without charge thoughI would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know

Edward Lorn

Hotel is too close to a loud highway that’s busy all day and night Staff was rude and slovenly Guy behind the desk couldn’t be bothered to even tuck in his shirt

Had to ask for my room number because he only spoke two words: “yeah” and “nah” Beds are hard and lumpy No trashcan anywhere in the room Red stains on toilet No free breakfast after I was told there would be on the phone when I reserved AC either freezing or blowing hot air I’ve had better experiences at Super 8 and Motel 6 hotels for $60 a night $180 for this place is three times as much as it’s worth Don’t recommend whatsoever Run far, far away

Very nice, the rooms were spotless The in house dining was lovely A big shout out to Ashley (front desk) and Emily (restaurant manger) for their assistance

The hotel is conveniently located in uptown/downtown Columbus, one can easily walk to all locations in the area without driving I would strongly advise purchasing the valet package if staying for the weekend and giving the valet’s at least 30 min notice when checking out as checkouts on Sunday get pretty busy

Grace Nagel

I have visited Hotel Indigo previously for events at the rooftop bar, but I stayed there for one night on 5/20 The room was impeccably clean and had no signs of wear and tear–it felt more like a cute studio apartment than a hotel room The view of the river from our room was lovely

The rooftop bar is a great place to get a good drink and enjoy the river view Location is great and you can walk easily through Uptown ColumbusBut where Hotel Indigo really got me to write a review was for their customer service Everyone from the valet staff to front desk to housekeeping were truly excellent I left a white shirt in the room and only noticed it after we had already checked out I called the front desk the next day and they had found my shirt! I hardly ever misplace or forget items in hotel rooms, but these things happen to the best of us In previous experiences they have never found my lost item Not only did they find my shirt, but they had it boxed up and ready to send to me Desirae, if you are reading this, thank you for your attention to detail! I was expecting not to see that shirt again I will happily rebook at this location whenever I am in need of a staycation getaway Thank you!

Easy to get in and out of, once you find them back in the cut The first room they gave us smelled strongly of cigarette smoke My husband went to the front desk to request a different room, and the clerk actually came up with him to check the next room before we moved all our stuff into it

Deluxe continental breakfast – make your own Belgian waffles, along with the standard fare Rooms are a good size Shower and beds are great No bathroom fan They had four sets of bath linens though, which is rare these days We charged all our devices at once with the lamp charge Overall, a really good night’s sleep

Nightwalker The Charmer

This is my 3rd time staying at this location when I come to Columbus, the first two time I stayed the hotel was handle very nice and neatly But the last time I stayed was the worst The only good thing was the front desk manager cause she went out of her way to make my stay better

I saw the GM at the front desk and he stood there for about 30 min while I stood there IN FRONT OF HIMThe front desk manager came out and helped The GM was so VERY rude and nasty to me and my family and to the couple behind me when we tried to explain to him our problem This guy was the worst He tried not to give my full refund until I explain to him what my job was (he changed his mind) I took my money and left The family behind me did the same We BOTH went across the street We both said we would never stay there as long as he was running the place I’ve told all my friends/coworkers the same I’ll be back once he is gone Very Very Rude man

Stayed 3 nights for an Army graduation at Ft Benning Convenient location to Benning, downtown Columbus, Riverwalk, restaurants, groceries, and shopping

Safe and clean area Rooms were nice, clean, and had all we needed The staff was exceptional, attentive to all of our asks, and very friendly Nice little workout room and pool Nice little patio with tables, comfy chairs, and fire pit Breakfast was meh…but free (beggars can’t be choosers) Waffle House is close Our only real complaint was that the latch to the door of our bathroom was broken, so the door wouldn’t stay closed (it’s a pocket door that rolls open) My parents bathroom door latch was also broken and I bumped into another guest in the elevator with the same problem Once they fix their latch problem, it’s a great place to stay!

Jacqueline Peebles

Great customer service! Although I was unable to have the contact less check in, the staff was able to allow me to change rooms They were so sweet! They are in the process of renovating and all rooms had new couches and ottomans The moving was seamless and we were notified about the furniture upon check-in as well as by letter, left in the spacious room

Speaking of roomsrefrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and dishes!

My family and I are frequent guests whereas this is our go to hotel whenever we come back to Columbus to visit family After all these visits I can honestly say we have only ever had one issue with this hotel years ago The rooms are always clean (if sometimes a little damp feeling in the summer) and the staff is consistently pleasant, with the cleaning staff doing a great job at maintaining the rooms

Emily

Signs state there are short staffing issues, so perhaps that was the issue We arrived to the room which was propped open unlocked already The bathroom had hair on the counter and slight weird red splatters on the wall and door jamb (rust or worse?) The couch had some small stains visible

The bed had typical scratchy sheets and lumps, very small pillows on the King size The front desk was friendly The room did get adequately cold to sleep Wifi worked TV worked Fridge seemed to work fine

Danielle Armstrong

I really enjoyed my stay My family and I traveled from NC to Columbus for a Family Reunion and Best Western gave us the best stay The breakfast was great, the rooms was very clean, my children enjoyed the pool and fitness areaI would recommend this hotel to anyone that is in the area because when I come back to visit I will definitely be staying here

Thank you Best Western

First off, our door was standing open when we got to the room, which I thought was odd When we got into the room, there were holes in the carpet, in the middle of the room, not in a discreetly hidden area against the wall

Moving on into the room, I spotted a roach on the curtain The bed, black hair on the top cover which made me wonder what I was actually sleeping on/in And I paid $170 for this?? The only positives I have about this place is the clerk that was there when we checked in, she was awesome and very friendly! Katina maybe? Very nice breakfast bar and the hotel was easy to find

Lisa G

The pool is closed and we weren’t told until after we paid I feel like we should have been given the option to change our reservation It’s summertime and we’re traveling with children

Of course we were planning on swimmingAnyway, this is our first night here So far, the room is pretty clean There is a good sized stain (or burn) on the carpet that was hidden by an ottoman The kitchenette could have been cleaner The hallway could use a vacuum The luggage carts desperately need some wd40

Pete Shea

Pretty horrible Staff was nice, but the rooms were very dirty, the place is in desperate need of an update, carpets in the halls are stained and dirty, and on top of that, it is a pet friendly hotel, which some will appreciate, but I have pet allergies and asthma, so I had to drug up to breathe without coughing and wheezing due to pets having been in our room recentlyWould not stay here again

The hotel was nice minus a few exceptions1 On the night of check-in the front desk staff was smoking weed and the entire entryway to the hotel was blasting with the aroma of weed! Horrible smell 😫2

The room had a few red stains all over the floor I made use took pictures and informed the front desk Don’t want them to place the blame on me for the carpet

The window shade chain was broke, the ac was cold when it was blowing but when not blowing it got hot Unable to sleep when it’s hot or freezing Front desk never had anyone available

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rothschild- Pound House We stayed in the Governor Forsyth suite which was quite unusual and special The jacuzzi was wonderful, we loved that kitty soap, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable! We appreciated how responsive Mamie, the owner, was to our needs and how she worked with us to address any concerns that came up

She is currently in the process of remodeling the main house so you might be aware that there is not a full breakfast at this time However, she gave us the choice of a continental breakfast or a voucher to go buy breakfast on our own Thank you, Mamie, for sharing your lovely home with us We hope to come again

We go married here and the experience was absolutely beyond what we ever expected The venue, the experience, the food, the staff and everything was amazing Mamie was so helpful and made sure that everything went off without a hitch

She made everything so easy for us and with a blended family of 6, we were able to have a perfect wedding without all the stress thanks to her

Our experience was a mixed bag We arrived to the B&B a bit early, and we were told the room wasn’t quite ready, which was fine It still wasn’t ready almost 40 minutes after our check-in time, but we did finally get the key

The room itself was pleasant enough, but there were no trash cans and no pillowcases on the bed We were told we’d get the pillowcases, but I had to call at 8 PM otherwise we probably wouldn’t have had them The most frustrating part of our visit was the fact that we were told nothing about breakfast and we couldn’t get into the main house or reach our host to ask about it I called pretty consistently from about 8:30 AM through 10:30 AM and got voicemail each time The suite we stayed in was very comfortable, and our host did try to give us recommendations and make our stay more enjoyable, there was just a lack of communication that made the experience less enjoyable

This was a great place to stay at!! Rooms are done very nicely and always clean; staff was always willing to help, friendly and professional; breakfast was great I loved the outdoor space outside with the pool and lounging area The front lobby was decorated in a manner that was inviting, modern yet funky, lots of places to sit around and hang out with friends & family

Overall I loved staying here for the 3 days I was in GA for my son’s Army Graduation If I go there again I’ll make sure to stay here

Alice Lewis

Booked 2 rooms for Army graduation location is excellent for the base Convenient distance to “downtown”

Main lobby had an “off” smell when we arrived (perhaps cleaning material?), but it was not noticeable any other time we were in lobby Rooms were excellent! Comfy beds and pillows (2 on the king bed-)Clean, equipped with microwave, silverware, large fridge (not under counter size usually found), toiletries etc I love the fact that rooms have new wood-look tile floors rather than carpet! Much cleaner than carpet!! Great bar-b-que in pool area Breakfast was perfect–variety of cereals, waffles, pancakes, pastries, eggs, Canadian bacon milk, juice etc Variety of coffee bar in the lobby all the time Staff is so friendly!

My family and I stayed there for two nights from 9/19/19 thru 9/21/19 We were in Columbus for my son’s graduation at Fort Benning It was less than 10 minutes from the base

We loved the cleanliness of the hotel I especially loved that the floors of the room were wooden/ laminated and not carpeted When I stay in other hotels I am always uncertain of how clean those carpets are So if you have allergies this is the place for you The entire room itself was clean and the bathroom was great Plenty of toiletries were available and replenished daily The kitchen in the room was a nice touch for those guests who prefer to cookBreakfast was tasty and they not only had a waffle maker, but also an automated pancake maker There was plenty of fruits, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, bread, pastries, oatmeal, and cereal Coffee was in the lobby at all times The front desk and breakfast staff were wonderfully polite and helpfulWe will definitely be back to stay at this hotel the next time we are in Columbus, GeorgiaThank you for a wonderful stay

Beautiful location, convenient to riverwalk and local white water raftingFront desk agent that checked us in was extremely unfriendly and didn’t tell us anything about the hotel or amenitiesOutdoor patio with enough comfortable seating for large parties

Room was clean aside from a soil on sofa, nice open walk in showers, but be careful, the water splashes out as there is no door Soft linens and comfy beds, as always!Small dog barked and whined in the room next to us from dusk until 10/11pm Called front desk, whom seemed confused about the complaint We never received another call or follow up about the matter Dog continued barking two more hours! It was a miserable evening and waste of our points to stay here! There are plenty of other options with similar accommodations in the area!Evening staff should be better trained in hospitality!

Molly Loch

Front desk clerk that said he is the manager wasn’t friendly NOT Warmth Not very welcoming

He didn’t listen to what was the issue The issue was when the room was booked that was told that we can check out at 3pm with no problem With no extra charge He didn’t honor Plus a value customer that travels a lot Now is a gold member won’t be using that location BC of the situation that can be fix with customer satisfaction

Paula D

I stayed here with my husband and we absolutely loved it , staff was amazing, always smiling and in a good mood !It’s so refreshing when you feel 100% satisfiedThe food and coffee was great too! Service was outstanding!

Was in town for one night As a history professor with an interest in historic reuse, I always try to support businesses engaged in projects like City Mills Hotel The property is great

I really appreciated the way they kept the structural references to the building well-exposed, but softened it to make it suitable for a hotel The room was comfortable and well-appointed We could hear the sound of the river as we sleptIt was clear that the hotel had just opened, and there were a few rough spots in the overall process We had a little difficulty checking in, and the construction (on the second building of the two) started pretty early on Saturday morning, right outside our window But the staff was exceptional in their attention They bent over backwards to address the issues we found, and I am confident that once they get everything fully operational it will be an absolutely wonderful hotel Small in scale, local, felt less like an anonymous chain, and right on the river All in all, we will definitely make it our first choice when we are back in Columbus

Yvonne

This is a very pretty and architecturally designed space, as the others have mentioned The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome as soon as you find the door It’s to the side, not obvious in the dark

Quite clean and smells new The coffee machine is awesome and snacks are nice Beds are very comfortable, pillows too No complaints about any of that I gave it 3 stars though because I don’t believe I will come back and we visit the area often In fact, his grandfather helped build this mill With that in mind, this is a drafty, not well insulated building You could feel the wind blow through the windows and exterior walls The rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller and we could hear every child and dog all night long I had ear plugs in cause my hubby snores and I could hear them through ear plugs and over my husbands snoring We would have called the desk and should have but it was very dark in the room, the phones are black and not next to the bed I was afraid the look for the phone in the dark without tripping Also the bathroom light comes on automatically as soon as you walk by and in a pitch black room it’s like walking by headlights! Not very intuitive or welcome in the middle of the night A nightlight would be so much better After almost no sleep and a hotel full of very lively children and pets $25000 per night seemed a bit much Don’t know what breakfast looked like Cramped space full of kids and dogs, we left without eating Next time in Columbus, I’ll pick a quieter location at that price point

Came to town for a Soccer tournament and the team and dogs all stayed at City Mills and had the best time It’s such a cute and unique hotel and the the outside patio, fire pit and access to the River walk was perfect The front desk staff was so accommodating and helpful putting up with dogs and 9 young girls running in and out of the hotel

They have a complementary breakfast which was great before a day on the soccer fields Can’t thank the staff enough
