Wow I don’t even know where to start This place is adult Disneyland I just had the opportunity To visit this place for the first time for three days and two nights

Because I booked it so far in advance and it was during summer, I got a discount on the room It was unbelievable It is hard to describe in words The customer service was unbelievable Everybody has the intention of bettering themselves, connection, unplugging, and re-charging They offer a variety of courses from cocktail making, beekeeping, obstacle courses, massages, reiki, Acupuncture & more! The robes they give you to wear are unbelievably soft I was disillusioned into thinking this place would be filled with a different type of attitude because of the costs associated with it however it was nothing like I imagined This place is the most down to earth, centering, and grounding place I have ever visited It is magical The Catalina mountains are stunning I am so excited each and every day because I know I will be going back here soon

Discriminatory!!! My fiance planned a mother’s day spa experience and was told by the spa to bring me by after work to tour the location When we arrived, they could see us through the Camera and asked us to leave When he explained why we were there, they had us wait for 10minutes at the gate and then sent security to literally escort us off of the property

We will never give this place our business The second they see someone is of color, they deny service

UPDATE: MOTHS IN ROOM!!I stayed at Miraval Arizona for 3 nights in a Solace room with an outdoor hot tub The base rate was $1,279 before adding the resort fee and taxesThe room and patio were very spacious

Upon entering I was greeted by many flying insects including large and small moths Fortunately I had packed a fly swatter however they seemed to keep getting in throughout my stay If I grabbed a towel or moved bedding these little moths would fly outthey were everywhere Alive and dead I asked front desk for solutions but they had noneThey flew out of my luggage when I got home I opened my suitcase again a few weeks after I got home and more moths flew out I went online and identified them as possibly being clothing moths My hotel room seemed infested!! I regret staying there now Now these moths are at my home ☹️ The room was not as clean as one would expect and the plush carpet in the room was stained and flattened There was dirt on the walls and the paint was peeling and chipped The outside patio chairs were stained The hot tub was very dirty and I had to request it be cleaned Every time I used it I got hives on my legs Fortunately they went away after a few hours I wish I had brought toilet paper from home, it was thin and rough The towels were also rough, some were dingy and had a strange odorThe resort itself was very large and I enjoyed walking around it Because I was staying at the Retreat I got in a lot of walking in which I really enjoyed, I easily got over 10,000 steps a day before dinner! I would warn others that don’t enjoy long walks in 100 degrees to pick a room closer to the main buildingsThe activities were plentiful and I enjoyed most of them Most of the instructors seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing with one exception Maybe she was having a bad day My favourite was the Clairvoyant reading with Janet Rae, she really surprised me with her ability to tune into who I was and my feelings I also really enjoyed the Stress Mastery Class, the instructor was so genuine and pleasant The past lives regressions lady was hilarious and just fun to be aroundI was the only one who didn’t seem to successfully experience a past life but I still really enjoyed the experience The activity rooms were very basic, like conference rooms at a lower end hotel with old carpet and square panel ceiling and lights that flicker annoyinglyI booked a couple of spa treatments which were good but the spa was a bit underwhelming and dirty The carpet in the hall was so dirty and riddled with stains The loungers in the relaxation area were stained and I didn’t want to sit on them I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have these things cleaned It did not feel very luxurious The first time I went to the spa I was offered flavored fruit water which was delicious but the second time I was offered nothing despite arriving well in advance of my appointment timeThe food was plentiful but of average quality The menu and buffet was very repetitive and limited in variety I enjoyed the food but would have been happy to pay for more varied and high quality meals in a seperate restaurant Being an all inclusive resort I guess this means having limited options At dinner I noticed the chairs and floors had crumbs which seemed odd because the restaurant is closed for hours between lunch and dinner I guess they don’t clean in between The staff were lovely and friendly thoughWhile I really enjoyed my stay I found the resort to be a bit shabby and dirty overall It is need of some maintenance and cleaning It’s a shame because it really is a beautiful and special place The prices they charge don’t seem in line with the quality and cleanliness however maybe the value is in the many included activities and food The decor is pretty plain Most of the paths are dirt and the landscaping is very natural, not many lush green areas It used to be a rehab center so maybe that’s why it’s not very fancyOverall it was a really great experience but I would not go back to this location

Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I think my standards are high and I’m a bit picky I have never been more impressed with a hotel I was allowed an early check-in (due to unforseen events) and a late check out

The front desk staff is exemplary The attitude and professionalism of every single employee I encounteredsuch a friendly, “all is good”, relaxed attitudethe maid staff whistling tunes and singing while they clean It really has been a pleasure staying here and seeing genuinely kind people enjoying their jobsThis has been a difficult phase of my life, relocating and not feeling on solid ground and this hotel and this wonderfully kind staff made all the difference THANKS SO MUCH, I APPRECIATE EACH OF YOU!Also, the rooms are very comfortable and very clean and all the breakfast options are delicioustoo many options, I’m pretty sure I gained a few pounds

Andrea Maria

We have stayed here once before but never again after this stay There were small bugs in the bathroom that kept on coming that we eventually found on the bed We asked Linda in front what she could do about it and was told that it was common for the area

We have stayed in dove mountain and other Marriott hotels before where the wildlife is a feature, but we’ve never had these problems Housekeeping is doing their best to take care of them but there’s only so much they can do Kudos to the housekeeping staff for being friendly and helpful but Linda not so much We asked her twice to move us to another room, and no resolution was offered other than a reluctant move to another room We will be contacting general management on Monday

Halsey Hall Lindquist

Very impressed with the service Very nice breakfast I’m not that impressed with the rooms

Parts of the bathroom floor were constantly wet because the shower curtain didn’t seem to work the way it should and the showers faucet was so confusing One knob to turn on and one knob to change temperature We also had a broken window screen and a cricket in the window clearly due to the broken screen Would definitely stay here again But would try and be aware of some of those issues before hand

This hotel was a great place to stay the night on our trip home The room was super clean along with the rest of the hotel The breakfast in the morning was hot and the front desk clerk kept the breakfast room spotless, he cleaned after every guest filled their plates and finished eating

It was so nice to be in such a clean facility with friendly attentive staff We would definitely stay here again if in the area Worth every penny

This hotel is very nice Patrick was at the front desk and he was very friendly Check-in was fast

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable Our room was very quiet, too Breakfast was greatmore than enough to get you going in the morning The coffee was very good! Over-all, this is a nice place to stay (my wife and I stayed two nights) I will stay here again and I recommend it Just gotta mention Patrick at the front-desk againvery nice guy!

Three stars is a mid level rating not disappointing and not surprisingly great That is average in my book, as it indicates my expectations were metThe room was physically clean and smelled clean and fresh but not chemically

The bed was comfortable and clean as well All in all the stay was fineThe hotel is near I-10, so there is some road noise, again as expected The noise, however, was not bothersome to meSo, in summary, a solid three star or average, as expected, ratingDisappointing me results in lost stars A pleasant surprise will earn an added star or, if exceptional, two

I want to leave a review on how excellent the representatives are I had been up since 5 am, flew on a plane, and had to drive from PHX I have a reservation set up already, but my debit card froze, and I did not have access to pay for the whole stay

She allowed me to pay for one night and come back and pay for the additional days I would also love to mention that this hotel is quiet, clean, and peaceful Thank you for the unforgettable mini-vacation

we77st

The front desk were very kind, pleasant, and helpful All the employees wore masks Decent breakfast options and good variety of channels on the TV

I always had parking at the front of the hotel The young woman who checked me out was going to try to get me greener stay points since I did not use housekeeping during my stay I also liked the convenience of the gas station nearby and the bike trail by Steam Pump Ranch (have to walk to Steam Pump ranch across the shopping center to get to it) There was a gym with a small but decent assortment of free weights, a bench, and a small but decent amount of cardio equipment, and outdoor pool 5 min away from Linda Vista hikes The room was mostly clean There were some weird quarter sized stains on the couch and curtain in the room The office chair had tons of crumbs (or bed bug eggs?) in the seams of the chair so I moved it to the corner of the room and did not use it for my stay The shower was out of body soap but I used the bar soap by the sink There was also no lotion in the room It would have also been nice if the gym had more stationary bike options other than the recliner bike and more cardio options, such as having a stair-master

Got there on Wednesday The sheets had stains on them Told the front desk and she handed us new sheets, we had to put in ourselves

The refrigerator was filthy inside and out Had something sticky on it 1 small trash can and it was in the bathroom Handicapped room and the shower curtain didn’t reach the bottom so it flooded the entire bathroom and hallway Breakfast was at 6-9 am we got there at 745 There was no one attending it Waffle machine was not set up And ready to go Most of the food was gone except a couple dried up eggs and burnt gravy At $100 dollars a night you think they would take better care Won’t stay there again Yes we did talk to the manager, she offered to switch us rooms, but we already had changed the sheets And it wasn’t until our last night Not happy at all

Bonnie Salmon

Monica is so friendly and helpful, that started our stay off right Everything was clean, comfortable and quiet We highly recommend! Thanks for a good nights sleep! One suggestion, a night light of sorts in the bathroom would be greatly appreciated by many I’m sure

The current lights are too bright and fan comes on with them so not a good night light

Sunnie Spivey

I had booked reservations for 3 rooms I cancelled them, thinking I had cancelled all three However, my card was charged for one room because I did not cancel the third one

I called and spoke to Judith, the GM She was most kind and helpful and reversed the charges for me What amazing customer service! Even though I did not stay there, with that kind of customer service, I’m positive that my stay would have been outstanding! I would not hesitate to stay at this location!

Was booked to stay here in early February After a long day of flying and driving, my friend and I finally made it to the hotel ready to sleep At check in, they stated they had some rooms closed due to unexpected maintenance

They made us go to a different hotel Samantha was the one working, and was very sweet, but assured us that Holiday Inn would be reimbursing me for our stay at the other hotelThe second hotel, Comfort Inn next door, took my card, as the Holiday Inn said this would be the case but they would reimburse meThis morning, MORE THAN A MONTH LATER, after speaking with five different employees (never being contacted by a manager or owner as I said I would be), Nicole told me I’m not going to be reimbursed for the $220 stay at the hotel next door She also told me they were overbooked the night I had booked in advance and this is why my friend and I were moved to a different hotel1 They lied initially about the reason for needing to switch hotels2 I’ve spoken with five different people who told me the owners just had not received the bill yet from the other hotel another lie3 Nobody had the decency, until today, they plan to not reimburse usHad we known they would not reimburse, we would have found a different, cheaper hotel or kept driving until we were able to do so The same people must own these two hotels, or else they’re friends What a way to make an easy $220 This is your lesson to get it in WRITING that they are going to reimburse you for the stay in another hotel after the inconvenience of forcing you to switch hotels because their overbooking errorSeems like this was honestly done on purpose Like I said, the owners of these two hotels must be the same, or at the very least, great chums Don’t recommend either hotelNot sure why 0/5 isn’t an option, because that’s what this location deserves

Gevey Vaughn

Hotel was clean and accommodatingMy room was booked through my work and there was several of us there Even with the rooms being full, the front desk clerk was pleasant and worked promptly to accommodate my need for a first floor room

Breakfast isn’t my thing, but looked it over and the options were nice and smelled yummy, but I just grabbed a fruit and checked out Overall no complaints and don’t mind staying here again in the future

Joel Smith

Sadly this experience was worse than 1 star but that is all I am allowed Stayed at this establishment for the better part of a month and the housekeepers wouldn’t show up but once every 6 days or so and when I did go down and ask for clean towels/sheets they told me that they did not have any The day she did show up she stole my rechargeable batteries and charger

They even looked up her name and knew exactly who it was!I reported it immediately to the General Manager Tim which has since quit Once he was not able to help me I reported this to the new manager Rosa and she said she would be able to get compensation for the stolen item that I needed for work2 months of back and forth being told I would be taken care of I show up at the hotel and wanted to talk to the managerShe was not there at the time but said would show up Once she was told by the front desk agent it was me she told her she would not be coming and I would also not be compensated for the stolen itemThis establishment certainly does not know how to take care of their guests especially since the company I work for was spending thousands of dollars there and have since switched If you want great service go to the embassy suites not the holiday inn express

It was great experience staying there The room was very big and it was very quite However, the WiFi didn’t work for us

Must be because we were at a corner room We tried the spa and it was great We went to the bar and the Bob’s and it was great as well The food was very good Getting a reservation at Bob’s was difficult and we got a 8:30p reservation and that was disappointing

Emily Moyer

We arrived and it was such an easy breezy check in experience! We were lucky to have Justin who was our bellhop and not only helpful but incredibly knowledgeable and great to talk to and really went the extra mile in getting us settled into our room We had a small issue when a large family with small kids moved into the room above us a couple days into our trip and Ryan from the front desk helped to get us moved to an upstairs room within 30 mins! Chris helped us get over to the new room assuring we left nothing behind and later during our stay on the resort he would stop to assist us with various things, bring us waters, give us rides in the golf cart to the bar when it was hot All of this made our stay just so pleasant and enjoyable

The bar staff at Legends was so helpful and kind making sure we always were hydrated with ice cold waters and stiff drinks and even when I needed to deal with a low blood sugar, they were quick to get me what I needed! This resort was great to stay at, comfortable rooms, and fantastic staff The Sonoran course was also beautiful as could be and we got to stroll the Catalina course in the evenings when the sun was setting, while it was being aerated Great experience here!

We went for a pool day The staff are all very friendly and helpful A lot of areas are under construction but the pool is not

We only stayed one night but I wanted a clean room and a welcoming atmosphere after a long day of driving The resort delivered The room looked just like the picture and it was clean and relaxing

The thermostat was easy to use which made our stay comfortable The staff was so kind and welcoming They helped us figure out dinner and get settled The waitstaff was amazing and the food was delicious We spent a few hours at the grill and had a wonderful time We are planning to come back with our full family to enjoy the other accommodations Worth the price

Doug Wicks

It’s a nice resort, beautiful environs Reasonably priced, good facilities, very nice staff Like a lot of properties, I think it needs a little refresh after covid, seems like certain things have not been attended to as perhaps they would have if Wyndham was flush, and staffing was not an issue

Paths around the property need repaving Less trafficked areas of grounds had bits of litter Carpet fraying a bit at the junction w hard floor of the bathroom Mostly very nice but

B B

We had stayed previously at the Loews Resort and had such an awful time there we decided to give this place a try, and I’m so incredibly happy we did The staff was so nice and our check in process was quick and easy, we booked through bookingcom and had no issues at all

Valet was present and able to help us to our room immeadiately and he was such a sweetheart The staff working along the property are incredibly knowledgeable about its history John Wayne and Dean Martin had stayed here before and the room they use to stay in is now the cutest gift shop The room service was amazing, everything was fresh and clean We tried all the deserts and couldn’t pick a favorite they were equally so wonderful in their own ways We walked around the gardens and the chefs garden was so amazing We saw so much wildlife including a snakes, cardinals, lizards, and lots of different species of butterflies We learned about a ghost that also roam the property and in the beginning of my stay I swear I had seen her standing in our bathroom checking on us We are huge paranormal fans so this was an out of this world stay Definitely coming back Thank you so much to everyone here!

To start – this review is based on the fact the hotel was closing the week after we were there Something we did not know beforehand To say this is rustic is an under statement

There are NO, TV’s, radio or clocks in the room The A/C for each room is a portable roll-around floor model that you find at Wal-Mart And they are noisy There is, however, good Wi-Fi in the rooms The grounds are fairly nice – but this is the desert so there are limitations All this for $140 per night Ridiculous

Stephanie Figueroa

We weren’t necessarily looking for paradise, but we found it here at the end of a long driveway Recent rains helped turn everything green, and the flowers brought tons of butterflies Meandering paths, lined with wildflowers and mature mesquite trees separate individual casitas

There are over 20 acres to explore, plus a lavender farm within walking distance If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this place really is an oasis in the Arizona desert There was no TV in our room, but WiFi was readily accessible After the first couple minutes, it was actually nice not to rely on the TV for entertainment We will definitely be back to wander, appreciate, and recharge

Michelle Cali

This place was once a beautiful getaway But unfortunately, time and Covid-19 has taken its toll on this place The pool and sauna are no longer there

The pool is empty and full of dead leaves And the sauna has been converted into a koi pond The place has lost its former glory Even though the staff is absolutely wonderful, there is just not enough white paint to cover the numerous repairs done to the place we stayed in The desert landscape did little to hide the tired feel of the grounds that at times felt more like a ghost town This is not a place I would take family Instead, it’s where you go if you want to escape humanity, but still want the pleasure of having running water and air conditioning Think, ‘the camp counselor lodge’, back in your childhood summer camp days It’s a step up from sleeping in a tent If I had a few million dollars, I would investment in making this place look like the diamond in the desert that it should be It’s got ‘good bones’, and the ability to rise back up from the dust I hope somehow/someday, this aging beauty can be resurrected In the meantime, if you are a writer needing complete alone time to work, or someone needing to get away and ‘find yourself’, then I recommend this place All others, I suggest checking out places closer to humanity, ( and an actual grocery store and hospital)
