We traveled from the Gulf Coast across the nation to Carmel’s beautiful Ranch & Spa Although it was a holiday weekend and the following week off for students, the Ranch did not feel crowded I love how sprawling the property is

We enjoyed our breakfasts there along with the fitness facility and fire pits Our 1 bedroom had a stunning view overlooking their vineyards and organic gardens The mattress was incredibly comfortable, in fact I’m trying to buy the very one for my home The location is awesome My traveling pal took advantage of the spa and enjoyed a deep tissue massage The amenities were fabulous too by the way! The concierge helped us map out the 17 Mile Drive which did not disappoint! And their honey is killer!!! This is a must go to destination So treat yo-self!!!!

Fantastic experience Gated resort area with hotel at higher elevation, approximately one mile from the local road and with views of the valley Rooms with balconies, large bathrooms, gas-fireplace, walking trails, and various other amenities

Excellent for couples, although I did see a fair amount of families at the resort as well (a plus or a minus, depending on your vacation) Excellent staff Did observe some kids in the ‘adults only’ sections We were gifted a bottle of wine from the on-site winery when we checked in (alas, it had turned) Early check-in and late check-out Highly recommend

Our son really enjoyed watching the animals and playing in the family tubThe staffs are hospitable and thanks Peter and the team for the great accommodations! They offered in-room high chair and pack-n-play for the baby which makes our stay much easier Will definitely come back soon

I enter the hotel the white lady saw me in the front desk didn’t greet me stand there few minutes, she finally spoke to me then I told her I made reservation online oh she said we don’t have any rooms available now and didn’t check my name in the computer and room will be available in an 1 hour I just left because she is not nice she has an attitude problem I got into my car and she call and said I didn’t realize you were on the books and she said to come back so I did and there was a lady ahead of me and she was nice to her gave her a room, when she told me no rooms available wow, ok with checking in with her she yell at me no smoking In the room or you will pay a fine ok I know the rules

She gave me a room not picture on the website what I expected with no clean sheets it had so many tiny hair strands I think she only nice to her kind and working with the public she should treat all people equally

Mike Martin

Lovely hotel with classic design and decor, but modernized conveniences Very comfortable memory foam type mattress on the bed Two headed shower over a deep jetted tub

Contenental breakfast was quite decent for covid times, though not that special otherwise Nice that you could get to the main street through a little connected alley to the hotel

It was a great little modern/updated hotel Limited breakfast, but had fruits and such and an espresso machine in lobby Nice design and comfy sheets

Easy walking access to the many Moss Landing businesses and restaurants in town Very good food in town Breakfast burritos at Phil’s Snack Shack and Lemongrass restaurant for Thai cuisine, neither should be over-looked A little walk will provide you with easy access to the beach and many wildlife views including sea lions and otters

Enjoyed our one-night stay The room was clean, bright and large The staff were all friendly and accommodating

Anne at the front desk was very friendly and sincere Our mission was to leave town for the noisy 4th of July, fireworks, but unfortunately someone decided to let off some fireworks across the street, in the cemetery at 2:30 am, but that was no fault of the InnWe’ll definitely come back for another stay

Super nice staff welcomed us to a clean, warm, wood paneled room overlooking a courtyard Dated, but very functional room furniture was a sturdy backdrop for excursions to nearby village of Carmel valley village Dinner at the on site restaurant was tasty and entertaining

The menu and other patrons reflected the hunting lodge vibe with animal heads on the walls and plastic 40 yr old blondes hunting aged game at the bar Breakfast was served a little late (8 am) for my timing, but consisted of fresh cut fruit, breakfast cake, egg and very good coffee The highlight of the site was the flora and fauna Flowers blossomed everywhere Deer played in the meadow and raptors circled above Vinnie, the supposed barn cat meowed at the door and I’ve heard that he will keep willing patrons company in their room at nightGreat little escape

Erin Zanussi

While this place is clean and charming, it is not handicap friendly It was a 500′ distance from the rooms to the restaurant And the path was NOT LIT at nighttime! The restaurant is a 5* dinner house, but doesn’t serve any other meals

What is touted as a continental breakfast is a fruit plate, hardboiled eggs and the same dried out loaf cake served every morning, plus juice and coffee No coffee pot or microwave in the room The grounds are beautiful The location convenient The price reasonable

Sam Park

Los Laureles was an absolutely gorgeous venue for our wedding! I was worried about the weather because the coast was foggy and cold, but it was bright sunny day in the Carmel Valley My wife and I were married under a beautiful oak tree Les and the rest of the staff at Las Laureles were warm, accommodating, and professional

This has to be the very best venue for a wedding in the Monterey Peninsula!

Everything about Quail Lodge was amazing! All of the staff were super friendly They provided some high quality gifts for my pups and everything was dog friendly on the property The food was amazing

The view, property were so beautiful And they don’t charge resort fees We’ve immediately booked the next trip before this one ended Highly recommend!!

Eric Johnson

This is a beautiful property with some majestic hills in the backdrop The pool is heated and there are small intimate areas throughout that have a fire place or hammock for you to enjoy The main restaurant over looks a small pond

9 holes of mini golf awaits you just outside your door and is complimentary Rooms are nicely furnished, and beds where among the most comfortable I’ve slept on at a hotel Staff was very nice and welcoming

Kevin Kutsch

This is a very nice, little resort nestled in the Carmel Valley The rooms are spacious and modern, with very comfy beds and pillowsThe on-site restaurant serves quality food, but the bar closes at night a little early and doesn’t open up early enough for morning golfers

The golf course is fantastic There’s some challenging approach shots, but most of the fairways are relatively open The bunkers have perfect sand, just like you’d find on a beach The greens are soft and well maintainedOverall a little pricey, but worth it if one wants to spoil themselves a little

First impression was jaw dropping! Beautiful and comfy lobby with spacious hang out spots, the staff is VERY accommodating, even the janitors on site were so sweet The room was very clean and cozy, our favorite was our private patio with the ocean view! Lots of activities during the day then at night we sat around the bonfire as we watched the sunset with other families! The restaurant on site was perfect, we got a lot to eat/drink and there was nothing we didn’t like! It was all great! Woke up to breakfast in bed before we put an end to our mini vacation We have found our go to spot! We never even had to leave the property everything you need is on site

We will be looking into having our wedding here 2023💗

Absolutely LOVE this place! This was my boyfriend and my second stay here The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly Rooms are private and well kept

Their cottages are very intimate Love the robes in the rooms The dining at their restaurant Salt Wood is exceptional! 10/10 recommend this place it is forever going to be our romantic getaway spot Thank you for our wonderful experience!

Ashley Amrine

My husband and I were married here right on the beach, so it will always be a special place for us We’ve been looking for an opportunity to get away this summer, but with conflicting work schedules and family commitments, we are only able to stay one night The property is undeniably beautiful

We enjoyed the escape from the heat of the value and the views of the beach I love how they do fire pits on the beach each night Our room itself was fine Next time I think I’ll go for the suite because the room was a bit small for my liking I don’t like that there are not thermostats, so it’s difficult to keep a consistent temperature The bath tub was extremely slippery, but it did look as if there was a nonslip mat provided We did have one major disappointment My husband and I love a good, hot tub This is a huge thing we look for when traveling At home we keep our hot tub around 102° comfortably When we arrived in the afternoon, the hot tub was an okay temperature maybe a little cold for our taste, but when we decided to go again later in the evening it was a miserable experience The “cottages” are quite spread out, and it was freezing that evening! We fast walked our way to the hot tub and got right in only to realize the hot tub cool to the touchprobably around 85° Now soaking wet we froze our a**es off getting back to our room We were super disappointed and cold! In the morning I called to the front desk to double check that we didn’t go in after hours by mistake and to make sure it was hot in the morning They said it was good to go, but when we checked in the morning it was still cold 🙁 That was a huge bummer for us I’m not sure if it was a maintenance issue or if the cold outside weather and windchill was making it too cold Regardless, paying $500 for a basic room should at least include a hot tub that can stay hot I’d love to come back for the views and memories, but honestly, I probably won’t unless they fix the hot tub issue

Came here for business and was impressed! Room was big and everything was good Bed was good the only reason why not 5 stars is because the pillows I had to buy my own but other than that it was nice breakfast had good options, was very quiet

Pool was under renovation which seems to be the theme these days with all hotels but I was too busy to care Staff was great as well! They also have overnight security that’s kind of required for Salinas!

Valerie Perez

Customer service was excellent I called early asking if we could get into our room earlier than check-in and they called me when it was ready Super friendly & helpful staff

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite and it was clean and large The breakfast was good & the breakfast area was nice, clean, and well organized I normally stay in higher end hotels but this seemed like the nicest hotel in the area and I was impressed with how nice it was!

Dawn Stern

The value for money is way off Service and staff very sweet Accommodations under construction so pool and gym closed

Hotel is loud Could hear snoring and bathroom visits through walls But, to raise the price nearly double over Memorial Day weekend is unconscionable especially when elevator was broken, construction noise began early and hotel wasn’t finished with renovations My husband is a veteran and we could’ve used some peace and quiet this weekend but it wasn’t to be found here

Dock Holiday suite Comfortable beds Great water pressure

Great kitchenette (with full sized fridge and oven/stove) Very very very clean The couches are beautiful, but not comfortable for long-term lounging, but that’s OK because there’s a bunch of cool stuff to go do/eat/look at Easy to go get to, central to everything Nice owners/staff AMAZING landscaping Would definitely stay here again

Matthew Millett

This place was really amazing! A quiet inn in a quiet fishing town Very relaxing We stayed in Pelican Beach

Having a view from our room to the Salinas River was great All sorts of wildlife to enjoy including seals, otters, pelicans, and other birds Binoculars were provided which was fun The bed was nice, I slept really well No shower, but there was a shower hose in the large tubI was a little concerned that there was nobody onsite, but it ended up being a non-issue I was able to communicate with management via text with any questions that came up They were very responsiveSome snacks were provided free in the shared dining area But otherwise, we had to go to the nearby restaurants which were very close Just note that everything is closed by 7pm, so don’t plan to walk to a restaurant after thatOverall, this was a really great place to stay and we’ll hopefully come back Thanks!

Lovely views of the ocean from our room, and it was walking distance to shopping and several restaurants Free breakfast was quite tasty and included cold and hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, danish rolls, etc Our stay was very enjoyable!

We are finishing up a 20 day west coast trip We stayed at Marriott’s the entire time – of varying quality and brand This SpringHill was lovely and about mid way through our trip

The staff was friendly and the rooms were big, clean and updated (hotel looks new) The hotel is a bit off the beaten path from Monterey but a good location for an overnight and nearby many box shops as well

M C

Some confusion at check in was really upsetting especially with a cranky toddler on your hands… check in was at 3… we arrived at 4 and was told a 45 min wait… hotel front desk said our room wasn’t ready I said well I’ll take a complete refund and I’ll get outta here… 5 minutes later and what do you know our hotel was “ready??? “ seemed suspicious I’ll sitck to Monterey bay inn
